Ezra Levant argues Canada’s mainstream media unfairly frames terrorist groups like Hezbollah (100,000 rockets, Iranian-backed) as victims, ignoring their violence while pressuring outlets like CBC to avoid calling them terrorists despite legal designations. A 2023 Mossad operation allegedly killed 3,450 Hezbollah members with precision, yet AP tweeted sympathy for survivors. Meanwhile, Western leaders like Trump and Farage confront mass immigration, while Pierre Poilievre’s 2025 election silence on deporting criminals or ending benefits for rejected claimants cost him a 20-point lead—highlighting Canada’s political failure to prioritize security over ideology. We're going to talk about Nova Scotia making it illegal to go on hikes or in the woods at all, even on your own property.
It's a climate lockdown.
But first, I'm going to talk about a crazy statement by the media that we have to sympathize with the Hezbollah victims of Israel's pager attack.
Remember that?
Just some crazy, crazy stuff, or the usual as it goes for the media party.

Tonight, the mainstream media says that terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Hamas are the real victims.
It's August 7th, and this is the Ezra Levant Show.
Shame on you, you sensorious boobug.
Hi everybody.
We've got a story coming up for you later in the show about Nova Scotia banning people from going for hikes or even into the woods, even on their own property.
Survivors Struggle00:05:25
It's a climate lockdown.
We'll give you the latest on that.
It is a crazy story.
But first, I want to tell you about an even crazier story.
I almost couldn't believe it was real, but oh, it is real.
Look at this tweet by the Associated Press.
It says, survivors of Israel's pager attack on Hezbollah struggle to recover.
So you remember what that was, right?
Israel's Mossad, their spy agency, cooked up a plan so fanciful, if it were a Hollywood movie script, the studios would have rejected it, saying it was too hard to believe.
Israeli agents managed to convince Hezbollah, their enemy, their rival group, to replace their cell phones with lower-tech beepers and pagers, sort of, you know, 1990s technology, saying that by switching to low-tech alternatives, Israel wouldn't be able to hack them and spy on them.
So Hezbollah bought thousands of these pagers, but they were actually made by Israel.
Israel set up, you know, some fake companies or whatever.
Hezbollah, just so you know, is a terrorist group funded by Iran.
They had 100,000 rockets in Lebanon aimed at Israel.
Such a huge number that there would simply be no way for Israel to knock them down, even with their high-tech iron dome system.
It was such a strategic problem, and Lebanon really was powerless to stop them.
They were like an occupational army.
Israel managed, though, to get pagers into the hands of pretty much the entire management structure of Hezbollah.
And at one precise strategic moment, the pagers were activated.
So they all beeped at the same time.
And then when the Hezbollah users pressed the button, they detonated.
So you had to wait till the button was pressed so it wouldn't go off.
It was like on a dresser or you had to pick it up and push the button and it would explode.
And there was enough explosive hidden in the pagers that it killed or injured around 3,000 terrorists in five minutes, in one minute.
They had a second wave where walkie-talkies were blown up too.
Israel didn't just sell them pagers with little explosives in it.
Walkie-talkies, and that took out another 450 terrorists.
Now, it didn't kill most of them, but it seriously injured them, knocking them out of action.
You can imagine you pick up a pager, you hold it like that, and you look at it and you push the button, it might make you blind even or blow up your hand.
It was a way to take the terrorists out of action.
Talk about a hyper-accurate weapon, too.
Almost no collateral damage.
Perhaps the most effective targeting of an enemy in history.
I'm trying to imagine something more effective.
And the psychological blow that it dealt to the organization was incalculable, too.
Israel did need other weapons to take out the absolute big boss of Hezbollah, effectively knocking out the entire leadership of the organization.
There simply was no one left to give any orders.
Hezbollah, in some ways, the most terrifying part about the terrorist ring around Israel was undone in the press of a button.
It really was a miracle on a biblical level.
Oh, and look at what doors that has opened.
Lebanon, which in its own way was victimized just as much by Hezbollah as Israel was, because Hezbollah dominated Lebanon, especially the south, and it was more powerful and vicious than Lebanon's own government.
Hezbollah was really an occupying army by Iran.
But look at what's possible now that they're wiped out.
I'll just read to you from a quote from the Lebanese government minister of information who said, quote, we agreed to end the armed presence in all of Lebanon's territory, including Hezbollah, and deploy the Lebanese army in the border areas.
This is so amazing.
This is so important that the Lebanese government, with American help, obviously, will assert its sovereignty over the whole country again and kick out this terrorist group again.
It is amazing.
And it's so clearly part of a larger peace plan involving Israel, Lebanon, America, and others.
Imagine if Lebanon could join the Abraham Accords peace deal.
Lebanon was once so beautiful and peaceful that Beirut, its capital city, was called the Paris of the Middle East.
Until it was taken over by Palestinian terrorists, first under Yasser Arafat.
And by the way, Lebanon had a lot of Christians, but they were gradually purged from the country.
Looks like Israel's miracle attack removed the impediment, and that country may yet see peace and prosperity again.
I'm so excited.
So back to that Associated Press story that I mentioned.
You know, let me read this story.
Survivors of Israel's pager attack on Hezbollah struggle to recover.
Just turn those words over in your mind.
Imagine that headline about any other terrorist group.
Survivors of America's attack on al-Qaeda struggle to recover.
Survivors of America's attack on Nazi Germany struggle to recover.
Hezbollah is a terrible, murderous force.
Imagining Hezbollah As Al-Qaeda00:07:56
They're terrorists.
They're not a national army.
Their destruction is giving birth to peace for the first time in 50 years, but the Associated Press cares about the terrorists and their struggle to recover.
And it was so unfair for Israel to use a sneaky move like that.
Do you see how the media are your enemy?
Speaking of pro-terrorist propagandists, here is a CBC story out today.
Anti-Palestinian racism report calls for Canada to recognize May 15th as Nakba Day.
York University researchers want more oversight of education, policing, and politics.
Let me quote a little bit.
A new report from the Islamophobia Research Hub at York University, that sounds like a lovely place, calls on governments across Canada to increase oversight on how universities, schools, police forces, and parliament deal with the recent spike in instances of anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian racism.
By the way, Palestinian isn't a race.
It's not a religion either.
It's not an ethnicity.
It's not a language.
Palestine was never a country.
It was always part of other countries.
For example, Gaza was part of Egypt, and the West Bank was part of Jordan.
Jordan today is geographically most of what historically was called Palestine.
Palestine was what the British called that area when it was under their control.
But phrases like the Palestine Post or the Palestine Brigade that fought for the British on the side of the Allies in the Second World War, that's what they called the Jews in that region.
Today, Palestinians are Arabs, typically Muslims.
They speak Arabic.
They're ethnically Arabic.
Nakba Day refers to the day when Israel and a new Arab country were both born by virtue of a United Nations resolution.
This was 75 years ago.
Now, the Jews were thrilled with their new country called Israel.
The Arabs, not so much.
They celebrated by attacking Israel with five Arab nations getting in on it.
They sought to immediately snuff out Israel, really the day it was born.
It was another miracle.
The Arabs lost that war, and they call it a Nakba, a tragedy.
They want that commemorated in Canada as some sort of Canadian day, and they want criticism of Palestinians to be called racism.
It's not a race, but they want it called racism as opposed to what it often is.
Canadians are sort of sick of anti-Semitism and terrorism in our country.
Here's who the CBC put on their TV segment about this, complaining about racism.
Some say they felt that firsthand.
This man protesting the war in Gaza does not want to reveal his name.
He says he's been a target of campaigns the report warns about.
We were at Demal, and I have a little sticker at the back of my car that says, you know, free Palestine with a little kufiyeh, and it was reported online with my license plate number.
Got it.
So you're dressed like a terrorist.
You're hiding your face.
You're calling for the destruction of Israel.
But people who think you're wrong are racists, really.
You know, there's a reason not a single Arab country is willing to take Palestinian refugees.
They caused the civil war in Jordan.
They caused the civil war in Lebanon.
They caused a civil war in Syria.
But Canada is welcoming them incredibly.
Well, saying that supporting Hamas is gross and terrorist is precisely what these activists want to be able to stop.
Their agenda is censorship and propaganda.
I'm not going to read this whole CBC story to you, but let me read a little bit.
Provincial governments should develop curriculum, train staff, and educate students on Palestinian culture, identity, and history, including the history of the Nakba, the report published Wednesday said.
Could you imagine?
Actually, you probably can imagine.
It's pretty much happening now.
They want to censor the media, including the already insanely pro-terrorist CBC.
I'll quote a bit.
They say, a letter sent to CBC signed by more than 500 members of the Racial Equity Media Collective asking the public broadcaster to, quote, address an apparent pattern of anti-Palestinian bias, Islamophobia, and anti-Palestinian racism within the corporation's news and documentary culture.
Are you kidding me?
The CBC, just so you know, they literally have an editorial policy banning reporters from calling Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists, even though they are legally deemed as terrorists by the Canadian government and about 100 others.
But they're not pro-Palestinian enough.
Of course, they want to seize the state broadcaster, but they also want to be able to tell MPs what they are or aren't allowed to say about terrorists, especially those pesky Jews in parliament.
Let me read a bit more.
The report is also calling on conflict of interest and ethics commissioner Conrad von Finkenstein, who administers the Conflict of Interest Act and the Code of Conduct for MPs, to be given increased responsibilities.
The Commissioner, the report says, quote, should develop a clear and enforceable policy on how parliamentarians are to be held accountable when they disseminate disinformation, especially when such acts target marginalized communities.
Yeah, it's called an election.
People can vote in or out politicians as they please.
And a bunch of foreign migrants here who don't like being called terrorists when they back Hamas shouldn't be able to veto what MPs can or can't say.
And the only example, let me read this.
It provides only one example of an MP allegedly spreading disinformation, a post on X by Conservative deputy leader Melissa Landsman.
The post includes the line, stickers with hearts glorifying terror on campus, popped up today, UBC.
Imagine banning her from reporting that.
Of course, that absolutely did happen.
I saw it with my own eyes when I visited UBC.
Are you shocked that they want to stop a Jew from criticizing the glorification of anti-Semitic terrorism?
That's what they're calling Islamophobia.
But is that really what Islamophobia is?
Just anyone who criticizes terrorism?
So what do you think?
Well, I'll tell you what the largest union representing journalists in Canada has to say.
They're already 100% on board.
I mean, they didn't bother to ask their members, especially their Jewish members, what they thought.
They just put out a statement.
That's happening a lot these days.
Here it is.
It's called the Canadian Media Guild.
It's a rambling statement about how the Canadian government needs to condemn Israel.
And it repeatedly attacks Israel and makes accusations against Israel, which is certainly one point of view.
But it's the only point of view that the Canadian Media Guild feels the need to express.
The words terrorism or terror or Hamas, they don't exist in this statement.
After some outcry by Jewish members, they added one line at the end that says this.
Finally, the Canadian Media Guild calls on all parties to end the hostilities and cease the inhumane treatment of civilians in the region.
That's the best they do.
They won't even use the word hostages.
They do not accept that the hostages that Hamas is keeping and starving underground are even hostages.
So yeah, the Hamas sympathizers demanding that the media be more pro-Hamas, they don't really have to wait.
The journalists of Canada are only too happy to agree and to get to work.
You know, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, most Sunni Arab countries in the region, they're working with Israel, building a peaceful future.
You saw that exciting news out of Lebanon.
Those Arabs have somehow become immune to the siren song of Palestinians and their call for terrorism and extremism.
They banned the Muslim Brotherhood.
You can't be a member of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist group in Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates anymore.
Climate Lockdowns Prohibited00:14:56
This country's now cracked down on mosques that are extremist.
I went to the United Arab Emirates.
You can wear a Jewish yarmukh on your head and be completely safe.
The most radical Muslim extremists in the world are not in Arabia.
They're in London and Paris and Toronto.
Stay with us for more.
Effective 4 p.m. today, we're telling Nova Scotians, stay out of the woods.
We are restricting travel and activities that really aren't necessary for most of us.
Hiking, camping, fishing, and the use of vehicles in the woods are not permitted.
Trail systems through woods are off-limits.
Camping is allowed, but only in official campgrounds.
The fine for violating any of these bans is the same as the fine for the ban on burning, $25,000.
And if you're a smoker, for God's sakes, be mindful of where you're butting your butt out.
If you don't and you cause a fire, we will hold you accountable.
So what does this mean if you have a home or cottage surrounded by a wooded area?
We strongly encourage you to stay out of those woods, regardless of where they are.
Please don't do anything that could unnecessarily put you, your family, or your neighbors at risk.
This situation sucks.
Summer is one of the best times in Nova Scotia, and we all look forward to getting outdoors and enjoying our scenic beauty that surrounds us.
I get that, and I'm right there with you as Nova Scotians.
But you can still go to the beach.
In fact, that's a great place to be on these hot, dry days.
Just no bonfires.
If there's a short trail to get from point A to point B, like from the parking to the beach or to the lake to fish, that's fine.
But that's it.
No heading into the woods to spend time there.
I know it's inconvenient.
I know it's the height of summer vacation and people want to do all the activities that we so much enjoy in our great outdoors.
We have a beautiful province.
I know everybody wants to enjoy it, but we have to stay out of the woods.
It's a small price to pay right now to avoid the kind of devastation that we saw from the wildfires in 2023.
Nobody wants to go back there.
That's the disgraceful Premier of Nova Scotia who is introducing climate lockdowns.
That's what those are.
He's not allowing people to go into the forest as if your mere presence will cause some combustion.
No hiking, he says.
He says no camping, but then later he says camping is okay.
He says the whole thing sucks.
That's how articulate and convincing he is.
There's no science, of course, behind this, just like there was no science behind the COVID lockdowns.
The six feet of separation we later learned from the head, former head of the FDA, was a number that just appeared.
No one knows where it came from, but everyone repeated it.
No science, just like the vaccines were not actual vaccines.
They didn't actually stop you from getting the illness.
And here we have another form of quasi-science, but again, it's your civil liberties that are vaporized.
It really is amazing.
I was taking notes and he said no camping, but then he said you could go camping.
I'm not sure which it is.
And then he said, if you own private property, please don't go into your own woods.
I suppose we'll have to check the fine print if there even is any.
And by the way, do you think police understand the law?
Do you think police will be able to use their judgment appropriately for what sucks and has to be arrested and fined and what sucks and doesn't?
I understand having a fine on fires in the woods.
I understand prohibiting that.
I don't need a scientist to show me the connection between lighting a fire and a forest catching on fire.
But, you know, I sort of do need a scientist to show me the link between fishing and a fire or hiking and a fire.
Just complete junk science, someone flexing his power because he can.
No reasonableness, no exemptions, no exceptions.
Clearly illegal.
I'd like to see his authority for doing this, especially on private property.
What a total, total disgrace.
This Premier, of course, being one of two, along with Ontario's Conservative Premier, who thought they would weigh in during the federal election against Pierre Polyev.
He is a conservative in name only, and I'm disgusted by what he said.
But is there something that can be done about it?
We learned from the COVID lockdowns that you can sometimes win in court.
You'll remember when the Emergencies Act was invoked, there was a group of organizations and individuals that challenged the legality of it.
And wouldn't you know it, Justice Mosley of the Federal Court of Canada, said, in fact, the whole invocation of the Emergencies Act was illegal.
And the way it was enacted was illegal.
He took particular objection to the way they seized bank accounts without any care, without any attempt to minimize the infraction and infringement on our civil liberties.
And that seems like what's going on here.
There's no attempts to be reasonable, no attempts to limit the infringements.
It's just a thuggish premier who thinks he can do what he wants, joining us now to talk about it, is a lawyer whose organization was one of those that went to court to get the Emergencies Act knocked down and was successful.
I'm talking about Marty Moore, a lawyer who works with the Justice Center for Constitutional Affairs.
Marty, great to see you again.
Good to see you, Ezra.
Oh, boy, watching that guy, I just, I had all sorts of sick flashbacks to the lockdowns.
Here in Ontario, the buffoonish premier briefly said no one's allowed to go out at all.
And it was only when the police unions said, yeah, we're not going to enforce that law, did Doug Ford back down.
But his thuggish instincts were to ban everyone from the streets.
That's how this feels to me.
What does it look like to you from a legal point of view?
Absolutely.
And that stay-at-home order in Ontario was deemed unconstitutional in its reach recently by the Ontario Court of Appeal in a case that we had.
And, you know, Ezra, your analogy here to COVID and the COVID power grab is spot on in my view.
This is a climate change power grab and expressly so.
The law under which this order is being enacted states that this is in part for the protection of the forest in a changing climate.
And so climate change is the basis for this power grab.
We saw COVID being the basis for actually a very similar power grab in Alberta back in 2020 when they prohibited people from going hiking in the mountains as well.
Just as much science to support that particular claim.
The legal basis of this is shocking.
It's unreasonable.
And the constitutional limitations are there as well, Ezra.
Yeah.
We have a video from a Nova Scotian who is a bit of a political objector.
I sense he was the same way during the lockdowns.
You know, the provincial government has actually used yellow police tape as if the woods are a crime zone.
I want to tell you, Marty, during the lockdowns, when they use yellow tape to shut down playgrounds, playgrounds probably the healthiest, safest place in the whole country.
You're outdoors, you're getting exercise.
They just wanted people inside watching their phones and TVs.
I went outside with one of my kids and we would go to a neighborhood playground and we would spend 10 minutes taking down all the yellow caution tape from the entire playground, putting in the garbage.
And then we would play on the playground and we would wait to see how long it took some passing kid to stop and come and play on the playground again.
And we did this every weekend.
And it was actually my favorite activity.
And I called it sort of the Playground Liberation Army.
And of course, the police would come and tape it down again.
And then I would go out with the little one and we would take the tape down.
And it takes a little bit of courage to do something like that.
But if enough people are sort of passively resisting, or I suppose that's actively resisting, then you get a win.
If the entire province of Nova Scotia goes into full-on obedience mode, if people say, oh my God, we need a climate lockdown because walking causes fires.
Hey, guys, did you know that biking causes fires?
Hey, didn't you know that fishing causes fires?
You know, we all have to pitch in and do our part.
If everyone is compliant and obedient, then all is lost.
But all it would take is 50 or 100 Nova Scotians to take down that damn fool yellow tape.
And what is the province going to do?
Have a province-wide manhunt?
Anyways, I'm just hoping that Nova Scotians are not as obedient as their premier thinks they are.
What do you think?
Well, I can say that given Tim Houston's comments and those very similar lines about health and safety and how it's important for you not to enter your own woods to protect you and your family's health and safety, that would be the exact same logic that would have seen you fined for $25,000, Ezra, for tearing down those yellow barriers around the playgrounds in the neighborhood.
This kind of logic is anti-logic.
It is double speak.
It is completely illogical with no basis in fact at all.
And again, you're right that it is dependent on the population for enforcement.
In Nova Scotia, you can see that they've already set up a snitch line.
They're relying on people to turn in their neighbors to pursue a goal completely without logic.
This goal of protecting your neighbors, you're protecting your health by not walking through the forest.
Yeah, show me the link that walking through the forest causes forest fires.
And maybe you have a way to defend your law.
But right now, this law, which is premised on it being necessary to protect the forest, that is the legal standard.
It's necessary to protect the forest.
How is it necessary to protect the forest by keeping you from walking through your own woods or inviting other people over to your own woods?
And to get into the order itself, Ezra, it is incredibly broad.
It applies to private property just as much as public property.
And it would apply to you walking through your own woods just as much as it would apply to your neighbor coming over and walking through your woods with you.
The scope of this law is broad.
And them trying to say it's less than that or double speak and say, well, maybe we'll let you go here.
Well, that's not the way the law is supposed to work.
They are instilling a climate of fear.
You could see it through that interview.
And we know that fear is their weapon in these situations.
They don't use logic.
They don't use reason.
They just use fear.
And that $25,000 fear of a fine is exactly what they're counting on to keep the population of Nova Scotia compliant with this climate power grab.
Yeah.
You know, and there's a section of our Constitution that bans things that are, quote, cruel and unusual treatment or cruel and unusual punishment.
A $25,000 fine for walking within your own forest is clearly unusual and quite cruel.
This is a lawless premier.
It's a disgrace that Tim Houston calls himself a conservative.
There is a man, I don't know him at all.
Jeff Evely is his name.
I understand he has been a political activist before, including running as a People's Party candidate.
As you may know, the People's Party was certainly the most noisy in opposition to the climate lockdowns.
In fact, it was the only party that opposed, pardon me, the pandemic lockdowns.
I think I just said climate lockdowns.
I'd like to play a short clip of Jeff Evely, who seems to be out in the woods near some of this yellow police tape.
Let's take a look now.
Hey, everybody, Jeff Evelyn here.
I'm in Petersfield Provincial Park in the most tyrannical province of Canada, which is Nova Scotia, with my fuzzy friend Axel, where we walk pretty much every single morning.
And here you can see that this area is taped off because that trail is the woods.
But this area is not taped off because that's not the woods.
This area is taped off because that's the woods.
And there is a sign here that says trail closed due to extreme fire hazards.
So that is the woods.
This area is not the woods.
This area is the woods.
This area is not the woods.
This area is the woods.
This area is not the woods.
This area is the woods.
This area is not the woods.
This area is the woods.
This area is not the woods.
This is the woods.
If we go in there, fires will start.
Axel, come on.
Come on, buddy.
We're going to start a fire.
Come on.
That's a good boy.
Come on, buddy.
This area is not the woods.
Right, buddy?
Now, the first time that Tyron Tim pulled this crap, this area was the woods, and there were pylons all across this trail, so I could not enter in 2023.
But this is 2025, so it's not the woods.
This area is the woods.
That guy's got a great sense of humor, and it shows the absurdity and the complete lack of science.
And again, there was a total lack of science during the pandemic.
Fighting Absurdity00:03:32
That was such a key thing.
And it was, in fact, later that we learned, for example, in the Justice Center's lawsuit against the no-fly list, that you couldn't get on a plane if you weren't Jeff.
There was no science behind it at all.
It was just proof that the government was doing something and a way to keep people scared, which was quite important, too.
I think that video by Jeff Evelyn was brilliant and showed the stupidity of it all.
And I'm just, I was trying to think, how could he or his dog possibly start a fire?
In fact, what would be more likely is they might spot a fire that was happening.
We have, indeed, the stupidest government in the world.
Now, Marty, you were saying you know this man, Jeff Evelyn.
Tell me how you know him, and is he someone who's going to fight this?
He made an excellent mockery of it, but will he fight it?
Well, I mean, Jeff Evely is a veteran.
He's a Canadian hero.
He also went to Ottawa, and him and his fellow veterans stood guard at the war memorial there in Ottawa, honoring the veterans who died and fought for freedom in this country.
And so, and in fact, Jeff Evely was charged and criminally prosecuted for mischief for participating in the Freedom Convoy.
So Mr. Evely is a fighter.
He's had the support of the Justice Center before in his previous cases.
And you know what?
The idea that he exposes there, that this is the forest, this is not the forest, it goes to show the absolute absurdity of the interpretation of the Nova Scotia order.
Yeah, I mean, that's the thing.
What even is the definition of the forest or the woods?
I mean, how do you define it?
He was showing things that looked identical to me.
And in some cases, he pointed out something that they had changed the name of it.
The whole thing is so stupid.
But I mean, the government, most governments, the lesson they took from the pandemic lockdowns was they can do it.
They got away with it.
Almost every government that went back to an election was re-elected.
It was only the most freedom-oriented place, Alberta, that chucked out their lockdown premier over the thing.
But most politicians took a lesson that if you just invoke safety and take off your jacket and look really hard at work like Tim Houston did there, you can get away with anything.
Well, hopefully, Jeff Evely will fight back.
And if you guys have represented him before, hopefully you'll back him up.
And I think an army or if you had 50 Jeff Evelyn, this whole thing would be done.
It wouldn't surprise me, though, that there was a snitch army on the other side.
I remember the self-appointed, self-deputized enforcers of mask laws.
If you went out without a mask, odds are you would be accosted not by a cop, but some busybody.
And it wouldn't surprise me if you had busy bodies maybe even using drones going to snitch on their neighbors.
You mentioned there's a snitch line already.
This really is the worst of Canada.
It's our nanny state coming through.
It's our despise for individuals.
And again, it's don't get exercise.
Don't go out in the open.
Stay at home, watch TV, and spend time with your phone.
It's just so gross to me.
Well, Canadians need to learn to stand up to continue tyranny, whether it's in the name of COVID or in the name of a changing climate.
And this is example, I would say, 1A of a climate change power grab in Canada.
Nanny State Despise00:03:20
And the question is an open question.
Will Canadians stand for it or fall with it?
Marty Moore, lawyer who works with the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms.
Great to see you.
Glad you guys are on this.
And I know that the headquarters of the JCCF is in Calgary.
So it's great to see you guys looking at things from coast to coast.
I think they could use a little bit of help out there in Nova Scotia.
And it also goes to show you that just because a politician calls himself conservative doesn't mean that he is.
Marty, stay in touch on this.
If it goes to court or something like that, we want to hear more.
Thanks, Ezra.
And our team is active in Nova Scotia with lawyers prepared to litigate there and licensed to do so.
Right on.
Well, that's very encouraging.
And if we can help bring some journalistic scrutiny, we don't have a full-time staffer in Nova Scotia, but we certainly could send someone out there to cover this story.
So this is an important one.
Climate lockdowns, that phrase is so gross to me, and I think we're seeing it.
Take care, Marty.
Keep fighting for freedom.
Thank you, Ezra.
Likewise.
There he is, Marty Moore.
And I'm glad they're on the case.
Stay with us more ahead.
Welcome back.
Your letters to me.
The first was on my comments about mass immigration.
Morning Sunshine says, remember, Muslim values are Canadian ink values.
Well, listen, there are some noble Muslim values.
It's just that the way Islam is expressed by certain extremists is violent.
You know, there are a billion and a half Muslims in the world, and there's a variety of ways to practice Islam.
And I keep thinking of Dr. Daniel Pipes, who says the answer to moderate radical Islam is moderate Islam.
I mean, you can't snap your fingers and make Islam go away.
You just can't put that genie back in the bottle.
But maybe you can do business with moderate progressive Islam like you see in Dubai.
And that's my news today out of Lebanon.
They are taking steps to make peace.
Now, some people would say, oh, there's no such thing.
If you read the actual strict words of the Quran, it is a document of war.
It's a document that calls for slavery.
And there's truth to that.
I think, though, that if you look at the Bible, you will see language that is interpreted in a more moderate way over the course of centuries.
I'm not comparing the Bible to the Quran.
I'm just saying it is possible to say the statement, Muslim values are Canadian values, and to say it honestly and in a hopeful way.
But I'm afraid that the dominant strain of Islam in Canada politically is not moderate and it does not share Canadian values.
It's for censorship.
It supports violence.
And I see it being expressed in our political institutions.
The kind of Islam I see in Canada is so radical, it would not be allowed in Saudi Arabia.
And that is what I believe Mark Carney was saying when he said Islamic values are Canadian values.
So I think he was wrong.
Next letter from Thomas Hughes Bio, who says, Pierre lost my respect after the turban crap.
Never saw Donald J. Trump wearing anything but a suit and wants a safety vest.
A true Western leader.
Deportation Debate00:05:23
Yeah, I think there was a long while there where conservative leaders, one after the other, all tried to outdo the Liberals for sucking up to mass immigration.
And that was just a lack of courage of standing up to the media.
I say again, had, by the way, our alumnus, Kian Becksley, put a great question to Pierre Pollev about immigration.
Can I play for you the question and the answer here?
Take a look.
This happened earlier today.
Thanks for taking my question.
Kien with Juno News.
I'd like to ask about immigration.
Nigel Farage in the United Kingdom has been quite popular recently.
He might even be prime minister if an election was held today with his plan to deport illegal migrants across the channel.
Donald Trump, same thing.
He just launched a father-son recruitment campaign for ICE.
It seems like the entire Western world, including the Liberals, have realized that out-of-control immigration is a problem.
But Canada is the only country without a solution to fix it.
And you don't have sovereignty without control of the borders.
So I'm wondering what your plan is to fix it and get illegal migrants out of this country.
Thank you.
Well, anyone who has been deemed inadmissible needs to leave and they need to be deported.
Anyone who has commits a crime while they're in Canada, they need to be immediately detained.
And when their detention is complete, they need to be deported from the country.
We need to track down the roughly 600 criminals that the Liberals have lost track of.
That means using all our security agencies to find out where they are, to locate them, arrest them, put them on planes, get them out of Canada.
We need to make it clear that anyone who commits a hate crime or an act of violence against an identifiable group should be that is not a citizen and not a permanent resident needs to be deported from this country.
We need to get rid of the incentives for people to come here that are not real refugees.
So we need a review of all the benefits that go to people who come as asylum claimants to make sure they're not getting more benefits than Canadian taxpayers get.
And those that arrive last should be their case, should be treated first so that they know that they'll be leaving quickly.
That will get the message back to the country of origin that if you come to Canada and you're not a real refugee, your case will be heard in a few weeks and you'll be back in your own country.
That would, right now, there's the opposite incentive.
People who are not real refugees come into Canada and they say, Well, even if I'm rejected, I'll have seven or eight years of appeal during which time they get all kinds of benefits.
If we were very clear that the benefits wouldn't be there, that they would be sent back within a couple of weeks, they wouldn't come in the first place.
We need to secure our borders to stop the crossings.
And more broadly on immigration, we need to bring way down the numbers of international students, of temporary foreign workers that are flooding our markets with low-wage labor.
The big corporations love it because they can drive down wages for Canadian youth who are facing unprecedented unemployment.
The temporary foreign worker program was not meant to drive down wages, it was meant to fill jobs that Canadians could not or would not do, particularly in agriculture.
Now it's just become a full-purpose thing that Starbucks or anyone else can use to drive wages down.
If they're having a hard time getting Canadian youth working, what they need to do is raise wages.
So we need to cut back on the temporary foreign worker program.
And finally, the overall number needs to go down.
Over the next several years, we actually need more people leaving than coming.
That's net negative migration.
And so that's what I've said.
We've got these millions of people whose visas are going to come up.
When their visas run out, they're not eligible to stay.
They need to be told to leave.
And if they don't leave, then obviously they need to be deported.
And that will allow us our housing, health care, and jobs to catch up with the number of people in our country.
Thank you.
If Pierre Polyev would have said those things in the election six months ago, or I guess the election wasn't quite six months ago, but if he had made that the issue, it would have been so controversial that it would have attracted all the media attention away from Donald Trump.
Pierre Polyev allowed Donald Trump to become the central issue in the campaign, and he lost.
Had he said those common sense things about mass immigration, I think he would have won.
Hopefully, Canada will be savable by the time the next election rolls around.
Last letter from Big Dogs, who says the only conservative that was vocal against immigration he pushed to pause it was Maxime Bernier and they tossed him from the CPC.
Big mistake.
You know, Maxime Bernier has been ahead of the curve on a lot of important things.
He was the only party leader in 2021 who opposed the lockdowns and they excluded him from the leaders' debate.
I regret that he did not sue.
As you know, Rebel News sued the Debates Commission several times and won every time.
I think that had Maxime Bernier been at that debate, it would have made a big difference.
But alas, he didn't attempt to get in by using the courts.
Same in the 2025 election.
His party's vote share has fallen precipitously.
And I think the moment of Maxine Bernier may be passed.
I share everyone's disappointment that Pierre Polyev did not win the last election, especially since he started with a 20-point lead.
And I hope Canada can survive to the next election.
