EZRA LEVANT | The Best of Rebel News Campaign 2025 Edition

Ezra Levant’s Rebel News Campaign 2025 episode highlights Canada’s election as a clash between Liberal policies—like Bill C-75’s "catch and release" bail laws, tied to crimes such as OPP Constable Greg Persella’s 2022 murder by a repeat offender—and economic struggles, including housing costs and border security failures (e.g., only 1% of shipping containers inspected). Supporters, from vaccine-injured advocates to Sikh small business owners, rally behind Pierre Polyeva over Mark Carney, dismissing polls like Rumble’s Bernier win as unreliable. Levant frames the election as a fight against debt, bureaucracy, and imports, arguing Polyeva alone can reverse decline, while attendees in Brampton—where 39.6% lean conservative—wear "Make Canada Great Again" hats despite Trudeau’s criticism. The episode ends with calls to fund border watchtowers by scrapping a $2B+ gun grab, urging viewers to back Polyeva’s campaign at campaign2025.com. [Automatically generated summary]

Big Things Afoot 00:14:52
Tonight, the election hits its halfway point.
What's Rebel News up to?
I'll show you the best of our work so far.
It's April 14th, and this is the Ezra Levant Show.
Shame on you, you censorious whoo-bug!
Oh, hi everybody.
I'm running around like crazy.
On Friday, I live tweeted Tommy Robinson's court case from London, England.
This week, we have big things afoot.
I don't want to give it all away, but let me say this.
Montreal, Wednesday, Thursday, the leaders' debates were in.
There's actually a really big story behind that.
Of course, we're running all across the country covering the election full tilt.
I'll have lots more on the elections debate for you tomorrow.
It's actually incredible news.
I think it's perhaps the greatest legal victory that Rebel News has had so far, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
For today, enjoy the best of Rebel News in this general election.
It's now or never.
You can't sit the fence in this fight.
That's it.
Time to pick a side.
And I'm here.
I've picked my side.
This radical wave of crime is not happening by accident.
These radical decisions are not being simply handed out by judges.
They are being imposed by catch and release laws of the Liberal government.
Believe the people out here like this, it feels like we're fighting the good fights, though.
We're not out of it yet.
These past 10 years of this Liberal government has been disastrous for this country.
I mean, I remember when Trudeau first took power when he first won the election.
I was 15 years old.
We just spoke with some of the party representatives, and they do not particularly like the optics of this van driving around the parking lot.
So we just kindly ask on behalf of the party that you just refrain from driving around the van.
There's a truck.
There's the truck.
People love the truck.
That's great.
Look at that truck shining like a diamond.
That truck's shining like a diamond.
And when I become Prime Minister, the era of Liberals telling the West to pay up and shut up will be over forever.
When I was growing up, I was a Liberal NDP, and as I got older, I realized that it matters who pays for things.
I think there are a lot of reluctant separatists, people who really, they love Canada, they love this country, they just don't feel appreciated by it.
I'm a Canadian, but I want my daughters to have a future.
I barely bought a home.
They won't.
Oh, Canada, we stand on guard for the So I want to tell the whole world, if you're watching this, buy Alberta Energy, because we have the best.
Last question.
Thank you for that wonderful commercial for the oil and gas industry.
I think I heard you call my namesake.
Guys, just drop it and get out of here.
You're not welcome.
Take us.
Sinus says hate has no home here.
Take on.
I'm not hate.
I just say you guys are fake news.
Time to move on.
Okay, then but I ask you what makes us fake and you didn't give us an example.
I don't have to get into the long history of Rebel News and Ezra Levant and your fake news.
There are plenty of time.
You guys are well aware of it.
Well, he could have called an issue as well the entire time.
Could have triggered an election.
Yeah.
Like, so honestly, it's just like, well, you didn't do anything either.
Shut up.
Like, what's the point?
He's getting that nice $2 million pension.
Yeah, I heard Pierre.
Mr. Sang, do you regret propping up the Trudeau Liberals given the polling numbers?
Mr. Polyev is passionate about our country.
He's passionate about the people.
The turnouts that have been happening, the polls, I don't believe.
I thought I'd see a crowd, but nothing like this.
Let's go!
Canada first for a change!
Let's bring it home!
That's why we're all here, showing our support, and definitely want to bring it home.
You can't trust anything he says right now, and that's why I'm not voting for him.
What do you guys think of Mark Carney?
Guy lives in the States?
He wants to sell Canada out.
Honestly, if this stays red, I don't know if I can stay here any longer.
Oh, I'm here to vote for Pierre.
The only one that's going to change Canada.
It's going to be a blowout.
I have a hard time believing the polls.
People don't realize how historic this is right now.
I think the Glenn Maxwell photo is probably my favorite.
He's there with just Lane Maxwell.
So he was in Hamilton tonight?
Yes.
60 people, eh?
Yes.
I think there's about 3,500 at least here tonight.
I think you know that a liberal is lying when he opens his mouth.
We have to be careful.
We cannot let the liberals distract us.
Three, four, thousand people in there.
Really?
It's insane.
Your votes matter.
Your votes count.
We can see the increased drug abuser, increased the alcoholic, increase the homeless, increase the suicide, increase the teenager drug abuser.
And people, what people actually think of or like focus on, so Trump.
I love it.
He's a master troller.
All the liberals in Canada that hate Trump now are going to be turned off by Kearney because Trump likes him.
Like I said, I'm much more of a Pierre fan, so freedom is more of a concern for me than having owe nothing and be happy.
What is lies on this?
That he was with Epstein and Maxwell, but you have a picture of them together.
It's not him.
You're saying to me it doesn't like him at all.
No, the face is shorter, the chin is longer.
No.
What happened in the last 10 years, when I came here, oh, about over 40 years ago, it was so safe.
But in the last 10 years, things have gotten much worse.
Politicians always have their own agenda.
Well, sir, he says he's a globalist and an elitist, and that's what Canada needs right now.
Do you agree with that?
Yes.
People will charge me as being elitist, or it happens to be exactly what we need.
I am a proud liberal because we are fighting for the poor.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Look, he's the only one who can confront Trump.
Okay.
That's the party that you're supporting.
Please!
Please!
Not at all!
Ma'am, why did you punch that lady?
And it looks like one of the liberal supporters didn't like you.
And all of a sudden, she just came in and whammed me right in the mouth.
Rebel News, where are you from?
We're based here in Toronto.
I guess, do you get most of your news, I'm guessing, from the CBC?
I don't think I like talking to someone from Rebel News.
The rest of Canada has to learn from Quebec's determination and its courage to protect its way of life, culture and identity.
It doesn't matter if you don't have confidence, it doesn't matter if the only debate you want to be here and Radio-Canada.
I think it's a non-respect for the friends of Quebec, for the friends of Quebec, I think it's a non-respect.
I now realize that the leader of the Greens were not invited.
There are two leaders of the Green.
They refuse to debate in French.
They hide.
First, I'm very happy about what Mr. Koiliev said last night.
He said that he's ready to transfer us a selection of temporary workers, the PMI program.
It's a time when we need a change.
This election's about freedoms for a cross-fish country.
This election is crucial.
I think that New Brunswickers are ready to put Canada first.
What do you think?
How is Pierre Polyeva fascist?
Exactly.
Figure that s ⁇ out, motherfer.
Every year, debt.
They don't care about the little guy anywhere in the world.
If we can just get him in power, I think he'll be true to his word.
I didn't really follow the elbows up.
Can you explain?
Not really.
Oh, I think he's a lifelong crook and a lifelong con artist.
He's been a thief and a crook his entire life.
He's a racist and a rapist and everything bad.
So dictatorship are for freedom of speech.
Yes.
They're not for freedom of speech.
Usually they are not for dictators.
Edon Moss is actually buying Twitter to protect the freedom of speech.
Do you think that is actually an image of dictatorship?
Well.
They're firing too many people.
They still have control.
Anywhere we want in this country, we know we have health care.
In the States, it just usually depended on your job.
So if your job doesn't want to give you health care, you probably don't have it.
Kitchener Waterloo, who's going to vote for a change?
People that are voting conservative, they've honestly just been in Canada for much longer.
Okay, then.
And so they've seen, you know, standards of living change over the last 10 years, and they've seen the standards of living dropping so much.
I remember how Canada was when I was growing up, and it's just, it's changed so much.
And I never actually got a chance to experience it before the last 10 years.
People will charge me as being elitist or globalist to use that term, which is, well, that's exactly, you know, it happens to be exactly what we need.
We don't need any of that.
We need down-to-earth politics.
If this doesn't work, we're moving to Alberta.
We have just walked for over three miles to get here.
Three miles?
So I'm telling you, there's something going on here tonight.
April 28th night, so no more polls.
And the peer is the next prime minister with a super majority.
We are going to celebrate it.
Are you Mark Carney supporters?
Get away from me.
Hey.
Get away from me.
What are you so angry about?
We're not.
Why is he so angry?
Call you there and interview him.
Oh, I did earlier today, sir, actually.
Why are you so angry?
Because you're in our way.
It's not moving.
We're better off today than you were.
I was just trying to get to say something that would agree with your point of view.
I can't control what you're saying.
You're pretty frustrated with this gotcha news.
You know?
You're trying to get a soundbite for the far right.
I mean, come on.
You know you're.
A soundbite for the far right.
What does that mean, sir?
And Premier Daniel Smith.
Mark Carney says the province of Alberta will be the heart of the solutions for ushering in a new energy era.
But is still stand by is so-called no more pipeline bill C69.
What's your message for the Liberal leader?
Well, you can't ride two horses at once.
You got to decide.
Are you going to repeal the policies that have killed investment in Alberta so that we can beat an energy superpower?
Or are you not?
And so that's, we've yet to see the answer to that question.
But I think there's no question that the energy ease pipeline got canceled because a billion dollars into the regulatory process and multiple years, the company couldn't see a pathway to getting an approval.
That's a problem.
So we need to be able to have a clear permitting process to get approvals.
And we can't have arbitrary policies like unachievable emissions caps.
That's the real problem.
And it's not just us saying it.
Conference Board of Canada and various other consultancies have looked at what the stringent emissions cap would do, and it's shutting in oil production by 2 million barrels by 2030.
So it's one thing to say that you want to build oil and gas infrastructure, but you have to have the production and you won't have the production if you don't have the right policies.
So I'll wait and see which horse the next prime minister is going to ride.
But you have to have policies in place that will bring investment back and the policies that the current liberal government have in place chased it away.
I also questioned her about her ongoing discussions with Quebec's Premier regarding energy development.
Specifically, I asked whether she had any concerns about the long-term viability of such a partnership, particularly if Mark Carney becomes Prime Minister and maintain Bill C-69, and if Quebec's party, Québecois, known for its anti-pipeline stance, wins the 2026 provincial election.
We want to work with partners that want to work with us.
And there's lots of partners.
There's lots of opportunities.
We could build to the West Coast.
We could build to the North.
We could build to Churchill.
We could build from Ontario up to Grace Bay.
And we can support others in doing the same.
So I'll do my best to try to put out a hand of friendship and say, hey, how can they help each other?
But I have to obviously deal with the individuals who are in the office at the time.
So I don't know what's going to happen in 18 months equal.
But we're going to keep on working to build pipelines northeast and west.
That's a tough.
Thank you.
Thank you, Diana.
I'm aware.
This is why we have an arms embargo.
You're not a man.
You're not a vampire like them.
Shut up.
Shut up.
You're a genocide.
You're a genocide.
Liberation.
Why are you voting for Mark Carney?
Why not?
Yeah, you know, we need more adults to lead this country.
Does that discount the Liberal leadership?
Because right now we do have a Liberal government.
Mark Carney, why should Canadians trust that you don't have any financial conflicts?
Do you think that there's anything fishy about his finances?
Maybe that is a priority for somebody else.
But for us, that is not a priority.
Prefabricated and modular housing are the future.
People's Party Revolution 00:03:13
And now we're going to follow that model and it's going to work.
And it's going to work for Alberta.
It's going to put everyone to work.
And Polyov has no idea.
I think if you get somebody that's coming from that isn't so popular in Alberta, it's actually a good thing.
Going to a central banker for political advice is never a good idea.
What is the goal if you have the best ideas for this country and you keep them for yourself?
You know, I want you to be part of the change.
That is a revolution that we are doing today.
A real revolution.
And we need everybody to do that revolution together.
Well, folks, I'm with Maxine Bernier.
He is, of course, the leader of the People's Party of Canada.
And first of all, Maxine, thank you so much for your time.
I know you're going to make a presentation here at the golf course, but so much to talk about.
But let's talk about the thing that is on everyone's mind.
I can't go anywhere without anybody asking me this.
A few months ago, the polls, if you believe them, indicated that the Pierre Polyev Conservatives were in landslide territory.
Now, those same polls say it's a horse race and a photo finish at that.
What's your take on that?
And do you think that these polls are accurate?
No, I don't.
You know, I don't.
I don't trust these polls.
And actually, when they're doing polling, they don't put the People's Party there.
So I'm traveling like you across the country, meeting people.
And I can tell you, we, the People's Party, have more support than what they are telling Canadians about us.
Do you believe the polls right now?
No, absolutely not.
And in fact, if you look at Rumble's poll, Chris Pavlowski, who's the CEO of Rumble, did a poll, who would be the best leader for Canada, and Maxine Bernier was the clear winner.
All politicians agree, all business people agree.
Well, most people agree.
If the economy doesn't work, nothing else will work.
If the economy doesn't work, you cannot feed the hungry.
You cannot look after the most fragile people, the elderly, the sick, and the handicapped.
But we do not talk.
What drives the economy is the most important subject.
We don't talk about it.
There's reasons why, because the world is still ruled by the golden rule.
The people which have the gold or the monies, you don't see them anymore like the kings, you know, hundreds of years ago.
So you don't see the people which have, they might live in Hawaii, they might live in Beverly Hills, they might live in Monaco, but they don't want to share the profits with the employees.
Now let me, isn't it the most logical reason?
So I'm not teaching, I'm not preaching, let's take away from the rich.
I'm saying we must let the employees participate.
When we bake the economic pie, when they participate, everybody gets a bigger slice.
So that is really the reason, right?
Our living standards gone down over and over and over, right?
Why We Must Involve Employees 00:15:48
So there were liberals, liberals on the managing majority in parliament or conservatives, right?
And what we have is we have an environment where the debts gone up, right?
And where the bureaucracy is going up and where the imports are high, right?
It means a perfect formula, like a freight train going down the hill without a brake.
Oh, hi, everybody.
Ezra Levant here.
I'm outside a convention center in Brampton, Ontario.
That's a city about half an hour away from Toronto proper.
It's just after 4 p.m.
The rally here is not expected for another two hours, but you can see hundreds of people are already lined up.
They want to make sure they get in.
In recent days, Pierre Polyev's events have been standing room only and overflow crowds, including an incredible rally in Edmonton, Alberta, a couple days ago that had about, I don't know, 10,000, 12,000 people in attendance.
Some people said as many as 15,000 people.
The theme for today's event is crime and fighting against crime.
There's been a crime wave across Canada in recent years.
It's been particularly bad in Toronto and cities like Brampton.
Cars are stolen regularly, put on ships sold overseas, home invasion robberies.
You see brazen daylight robberies of jewelry stores in malls almost on a daily basis.
There's really a lawlessness and it happens.
You can't put it all on Justin Trudeau.
I think a lot of it's on him because the criminal code has been weakened.
Some of it's on the provinces and local police as well.
Canada is in the worst crime wave of our history.
And I don't know if you remember.
A few months ago, the City of Toronto police gave advice to people to leave their key fobs near their front doors so when the home invasion gangs burst in, they don't have to ransack your whole house to find your keys.
They're right there.
The police were literally giving advice to homeowners to cooperate.
To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your fobs at your front door.
Because they're breaking into your home to steal your car.
They don't want anything else.
A lot of them that they're arresting have guns on them and they're not toy guns.
They're real guns.
They're loaded.
With their home invaders, absolutely shocking.
That's how it is in the greater Toronto area and in many other cities in Canada.
So that's going to be one of the themes today.
Very excited to say our truck is on the scene too.
Right now, it's circling in the mall area outside the convention center.
Whenever it drives through this little welcome area, people cheer for the truck.
They love to see the 4 Canada truck.
If you recall, we set up a third-party campaign group in this election to be compliant with election laws.
If you love that truck, don't be shy.
Go to 4canada.ca.
That's F-O-R-Canada.ca.
Help us keep that truck on the road.
We want that truck going every single day during the campaign.
We've also got radio ads going, tons of online ads.
I'm really excited about what we're doing, and we're doing it in a way to be compliant, because, of course, Elections Canada is extremely partisan.
You might recall a few years ago, they actually prosecuted me for writing a book critical of Justin Trudeau.
Anyways, that's my little scene setter.
We'll be here all evening, including covering the speech itself.
But I just wanted to tell you, two hours before showtime, there's already a lineup around the block.
We're keeping them entertained with the truck, though.
Go to 4canada.ca to help.
Hi, Manza.
Good to meet you.
It's all the time.
There's the truck.
There's the truck.
People love the truck.
Look at that truck shining like a diamond.
That truck's shining like a diamond.
Well, you're almost at the front of the line.
What time did you get here today?
We were here around 2.30.
2.30?
Well, the event doesn't officially start until 6.
I know.
We wanted to see how everybody was showing up and to show the support.
Are you from Brampton or did you come in from another town?
No, I'm coming from the Kawartha Lakes.
Oh, wow, that's a bit of a drive.
It is.
It is a part of a drive.
But trying to get the best for our country now, right?
That's great.
And what makes you interested in this event?
Is it an issue in particular or just what motivates you politically?
Well, I am a vaccine injured.
And it really was like pushed by my work.
And I really suffered lots of health problems since then.
Still battling with them.
So in the past couple of years, I've been at the hospital like already two surgeries.
I'm so sorry to hear that.
Yeah, so we're trying to find a way that our country comes back clear and with people that really cares about us, right?
Like we need to fight for everybody for our future as well, our kids as well.
Why do you make the journey in today?
Well, because we can't have Kearney.
We have to have Pierre.
Plain and simple.
If he doesn't win, the country's done.
What are you worried about?
everything, cost of living, cost of, he can't afford a house.
If Kearney wins, I'm probably going to look to move south or even Europe, anywhere else.
I mean, we can't afford, most of the people I know my age, they're going to be looking to move elsewhere.
Are you a conservative by nature or are you just here to kick the tires?
I'm conservative by nature.
What do you like about him?
I cannot.
He's a very exciting person, I'll be honest.
That's why I like because a lot of times a lot of the politicians are not, they can't get the people, if you know what I mean.
It's very difficult for somebody, because a lot of them, like a lot of people, the focus on, you know, they see the things that you have to be smart to understand, which a lot of people, well, they don't, like, they think that getting things, The government giving them stuff for free and stuff like that is a good thing while it's not really, yeah.
Can I ask how old you are?
19.
19.
Well, so you were old enough to vote this time, but maybe not last time.
Not last time, not in 2021, no.
And are you in Brampton itself?
Yes.
Sean, you're here with the Sikh community.
Tell me a little bit about that in Brampton, because that's a large community in Brampton.
Yep, the Sikh community is a large community in Brampton, Ontario, and all of Canada.
We're far and wide.
A lot of Sikh, established families now, for many years, have lived here long term.
And honestly, the largest portion of them are more conservative leaning, right?
And there's a bunch of reasons for that, but I think the main reasons is economic, right?
Because a lot of us are in small business.
A lot of us work very hard in factory jobs.
A lot of us work at different businesses.
And we want to empower those people, right?
We want to empower our families too.
So that's why there's all that support.
It's still an hour and a half till showtime.
They're handing out free Somozas.
Naturally, I had one.
Pretty delish.
Some of these folks have been waiting, they tell me, since 2:30 in the afternoon.
The doors don't open till 6.
I'm trying to get a read on how large the venue is.
I'm told it holds thousands.
Now, that's a pretty round number.
I'll tell you if I get more details.
Some folks know what they're doing.
They brought the folding chairs.
They're ready.
They've waited in line before.
They want to get the best seats.
Some folks came in from far away.
Some folks drove for hours.
Others are here.
In Brampton, there's the free Somozas hander outer, who's now my best friend.
The Rebel truck continues to circulate.
People here say they enjoy it.
One fella chipped in 20 bucks when he saw it, which was nice.
I want to go around the corner and see how many people are here because, like I say, it's not even 4.45.
I can see some other citizen journalists.
That's an interesting change.
You know, we've been doing Rebel News for 10 years now.
When we started, we were pretty much the only folks doing citizen journalism.
Now, at every single event, I see other people and I love it.
Brampton is a part of the greater Toronto area, just enormous growth and a very multicultural community.
You can see in the names of the candidates, many of them are Sikh.
The lineup does go around the back of the building.
Not quite as far back as I imagine it'll get when it's closer to showtime.
Parking lots starting to fill up, but still a few empty seats.
I'm looking forward to it.
Grandkids.
4 p.m.
4 Pierre.
Yes.
Where did you come in from today?
Are you from Brampton?
I'm from Barry.
Oh.
And where are you coming in from today?
Newmarket.
How long a drive is that?
About two hours?
Hour and a half?
Oh, sometimes it's like four or five hours.
Oh, my God.
You know what?
It's been a while since I've been there.
Why would you go to that journey to be here today?
I wanted to see Pelyev in real life.
I usually see him on a screen and I think as human beings we should actually see our heroes in person.
I'm not that person who doesn't believe you shouldn't meet your heroes, so I believe he's my hero.
And what is it about him you find appealing?
I feel that it's been the last 10 years I've been, as myself, I've never been able to be realized as a Canadian.
It feels like I've been pushed to the side.
And Palio, he speaks all the right points for me.
So I believe he can bring it home.
Are you worried about the polls?
No, I think that's propaganda.
Well, I mean, that's a tempting thing to say.
And I mean, I would like to say that.
I see lots of boomers and lots of people who are relieved that they can vote for someone who looks like Mark Carney and sounds like Mark Carney.
A lot of people hated Trudeau and he's gone now, so that hatred is removed.
And they look at Carney and they say, well, he looks the part.
He looks like a wise, you know, older banker.
I think that a lot of liberals find it easy to move back to Carney.
I find that weird because it's just Trudeau leveled up, really.
There's not going to be much of a change.
You just kind of put a new coat of paint on it, really.
I'm a construction electrician, and I really see that these past 10 years of this Liberal government has been disastrous for this country.
I mean, I remember when Trudeau first took power when he first won the election.
I was 15 years old.
And I couldn't vote.
And until now, I'm now at a chance.
I now have a chance to make change in our country.
Hi, how are you?
Good, I'm good, good.
Are you live right now?
Well, we're not live.
We're doing live to tape.
So who's that on your shirt?
This is my local candidate at Scarborough Center Don Valley East.
And who's the incumbent MP there right now?
Salma Zahid, the liberal that broke the Liberals Party's tradition of supporting the state of Israel.
Right, I know who she is.
She's part of what I call the Liberal Hamas caucus.
Scarborough is a pretty tough turf for the Conservatives.
I know, it is.
And for 40 years, it's been liberal.
But this time around, I think it will be changing to blue.
I've been canvassing over there, and we have this app called C2G.
We basically identify who's a supporter, who's not, and who's undecided.
And overall, we've knocked on, I think, 20,000 doors so far.
10,000 have answered, and 39.6% of them are voting conservative.
35.5% undecided and 19% are non-supporters.
Guys, I want to be really honest.
It was working way in the back of my mind quietly, quietly, ever since the trucker convoy.
I wanted to become a trucker.
Obviously, I've chosen a different path in life, but I was so inspired by the trucker convoy.
And had I had a truck like this in 2022, you know we would have been down there.
You know it.
And it just took me a couple years to get my act together.
I'm very proud of that truck.
I know it's not comparable to driving the actual big rigs, but it is our little way of fighting for freedom.
And I have it, so I claim a tiny percent, maybe 1% fraternity with the actual truck drivers of Canada.
I mean, obviously, this is a, it's not a large truck.
You don't need a special license.
It's really about ads, not hauling material.
But it is a thrill to ride a truck for freedom.
And in our small way, this is our homage, a tribute we pay to the truckers who really got us back our freedom in 2022.
You may forget what it was like back then.
Life has pretty much returned to normal now, but it was awful.
And all the establishments were captured.
You might recall that all five political parties in the leaders' debate in 2021, they all agreed with the lockdowns.
They all agreed with Vaccine Manage.
There was no actual debate in the leaders' debate.
Most of the media were in lockstep.
Most of the lawyers, most of the judges, it fell to ordinary truckers to save the country.
As George Orwell wrote in his book 1984, if there was hope, it was with the proles, the proletariat.
That's what Orwell said some 70-odd years ago.
Anyways, that's our little truck.
Hi, do you want a selfie?
Did you see me?
Did you see me pointing out your Ezra?
Yeah, what's your name?
I'm Ann Robert.
I'm with the RCMP.
Oh, great.
It's my friend Efron.
Hi, nice to meet you.
So I just spoke with some of the party representatives, and they do not particularly like the optics of this van driving around the parking lot.
So we just kindly ask, on behalf of the party, that you just refrain from driving around the van, if that's you guys don't.
Well, are you speaking on behalf of the venue or this entire mall?
No, I'm speaking on behalf of the Conservative Party.
They don't like the optics of the van.
Drive you don't, and that's, that's fine.
I just wanted to make sure that I pass that along.
Yeah well, I'm happy to talk to the party I. Are you guys going inside?
Yeah, is there any anyone in particular?
You know what?
When you get inside, you can even ask one of the volunteers.
Yeah, so you're just passing on a message.
This is not a police directive.
No no, it's not.
We do have a trespass to property, for the building as well as the parking lot oh okay well, you do have.
That'll be a very exciting moment if that happens, and that's not, I'm just letting you know that there is one in place.
But like well if if, you're gonna trespass the truck, come and find me.
No no, I'm just.
I'm just letting you know that there is one in place and I was just kindly, on behalf of the party, asking that you refrain from driving the van around.
It's the optics they don't seem to care for, but if that's a problem, then yeah well, I mean one of the reasons that I'm sympathetic to the Conservative, I hope we earn it, thank you.
One of the reasons that I'm sympathetic to the Conservative Party hey Bron, how you doing nice to see you is that it's because I believe in freedom of speech, including the right to prickle at politicians of every stripe.
So I hope the Conservative Party isn't becoming censorious and things like that.
No, not at all, not at all.
Like I said, it's always, everything's always based on options, very friendly, very friendly and no reason for me.
Belief in Freedom of Speech 00:07:42
Okay thanks, very much.
No, I thank you.
Thank you for that.
Okay, cheers.
Well, that's very strange that the Conservative Party has dispatched an RCMP officer to tell us not to drive the truck around.
The truck is clearly marked as a What's a Rebel news truck that is being rented by the FOR Canada third party campaign group that I set up a few weeks ago to comply with election law.
That's why we're doing it, because to have a partisan message that you pay money for is a regulated election expense.
I learned that the hard way when I wrote a book called The Libranos in 2019.
That was just a legit book, normal book, bestseller by the way.
And the Liberals had me prosecuted, which was so gross.
But I thought, you know, I don't need to be prosecuted again.
I'll just comply with the law.
It actually doesn't cost any money to register.
Great to see you here.
We're going to do a little video with my friend Efron.
The Rebel News vehicle is here from our friend the Flying Dutchman.
The Flying Dutchman.
Now, I love the rap on it, but you've got some additional stuff.
You've got TheyLied.ca.
Yeah, the Farmers in Holland.
This is for the farmers in Holland.
That's very important.
Wow.
And my favorite is on the side.
Okay.
Rebel News telling the other side of the story.
That's amazing.
Ezra, it's such an honor to drive it because people want to talk to me and they want to hear what I have to say.
Some people don't even know Rebel News, and I say, you know what?
And I explained the Canadian flag on the top.
That's right.
Well, all the Liberals are doing it now, so I have to compete with a little one now.
Now, the thing that impresses me the most is I do not see any vandalism on the car.
Now, maybe I'm missing it, but I mean, that confirms that people are either positive or at least polite.
I would be worried that bad people would vandalize the car.
Well, I had just another finger.
Well, once in a while, that's okay.
That's okay.
And, you know, it's so nice to be part of a little bit of Rebel News.
You guys are doing a great job.
Thank you.
You're one of our number one supporters.
And, of course, you came on our last Rebel News cruise, which was super saved my life.
No, it did.
And so at the 17, we're going again, June, right?
And so, yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun.
Well, great to see you.
And thanks for representing Rebel News so nicely.
Hi, man.
I love it.
So I have fun.
So good to see you again.
I see you've got the Make Canada Great Again hat on.
Absolutely, yeah.
For sure.
I heard a rumor from my friend that at another venue, and I'm not looking to cause trouble, but I heard that they were asking people with Make Canada Great Again hats to take them off, which, and I hope they don't do that here, because it's...
I was a little nervous about that, because I asked my wife, I said, you know, do you think I should wear it?
Like, it might make me take it off, you know, thinking that it's too close to Trump.
It's sort of the opposite, though.
You know, it makes Canada great again.
I mean, every country should be great.
Exactly.
But, you know, I mean, under Trudeau, we've suffered a lot.
And under Carney, we're going to suffer more.
And that's something that has to be turned around.
Well, thanks for talking to me, and I hope you can keep your hat on.
Me too.
I'm wearing my Rebel.
I just got my Rebel hat literally today.
I ordered this on RebelNewsStore.com just today.
I've ordered things from Rebel News.
Especially when we're fighting Trudeau the first time.
The polls are lying, first of all.
And I think the country is going to shit completely if we don't get conservative in.
If there isn't a change, this country's ruined, in my opinion.
That's pretty heavy duty.
I mean, I tend to agree with you.
What do you think would be the ways it would fall apart?
And I don't mean to relish in this doomsday scenario, but what do you think would be the things going wrong?
Well, for one, jobs.
That's already at a massive decline.
Number two, the dollar will go down.
If Mark Carney gets in, it's over for the dollar.
It's over for all of us.
What line of work are you in?
I'm in construction.
I build foundations.
And I'm struggling.
Just me and my wife, and I'm struggling.
So if there isn't a change soon, we're looking at the homeless.
Oh, my God.
Well, I certainly hope it doesn't come to that.
You and me both.
That's why I'm here.
Because if you and your kids want to have a future in this country, then this is the way we got to go.
Because the other way is just there's no future.
There's no light at the end of the tunnel for any of us.
This is the target.
We are the target.
It's now or never.
You can't sit the fence in this fight.
That's it.
Time to pick a side.
And I'm here.
I picked my side.
I did my research two and a half years.
I know my stuff.
So I'm here to fight for all of us.
All of us.
And I'm so happy to see this, man.
Well, it's nice you to say.
For all of us, too.
Well, good to meet you.
Thanks for speaking from the heart.
Of course.
Well, are you worried about the polls?
I am.
It's concerning because unfortunately people, they buy stuff too easily.
And as passionate as the voter base is for the conservatives, I think it's like 70 or 80% a locked-in vote for them.
It's only 50% for the Liberals.
So great as the turnout may be, I'm just hoping that people will still open their eyes and actually see that Pierre is the better option out of the two.
All right, well, thanks for talking.
Did you see the truck?
What do you think of the truck?
I always love seeing that.
That's great.
Love it.
I think in Ontario, a lot of people are slouching back to the Liberals.
I'm not trying to argue with you.
I'm just telling you I'm worried.
Yeah, I see the concern for that, but I believe the people out here like this, it feels like we're fighting the good fights, though.
We're not out of it yet.
It's 5.22.
It's almost 45 minutes till showtime.
And they're letting people in here in Brampton at the convention center.
I have to get a proper count on the capacity of this building because I don't know if it's in the hundreds or if it's in the thousands.
This lineup did stretch around the building.
Lots of friendly folks here, Rebel fans.
It's always good to come to an event.
David Menzies, if he were here, he'd be mobbed by well-wishers and people asking for selfies.
And he's got such a funny joke he always tells.
It's one of David Menzies' patented dad jokes that if there's a lovely lady who asks for a selfie, he always says, where were you when I was in high school?
It makes me, thank you very much.
Anyways, I get a fraction of David's love, but it's still wonderful.
And I think it's because people want to hear the other side of the story.
If you watch CTV, CBC, Global, Toronto Star, it's really the same story.
It's like they've been handed the same script.
And in a way, they have, because they're all working for the same boss.
They all get those media subsidies by Justin Trudeau.
I've talked to a number of people here, little Vox pop streeters as we call them.
And, you know, there's an enthusiasm for Pierre Polyev, but there's also a bit of a worry.
You can't look at these polls every day showing either, at best, a tie or a little bit of a setback for the Conservatives and not be worried, especially after two years of the Conservatives leading so strongly.
We'll see what the energy is like when we're inside the crowd, inside the room.
Bring It Home 00:03:11
Hi, how are you?
Wow, it's amazing.
Please join me in singing our national anthem.
True nature love in all the sunscreen land.
We glory our CC from fire and by the hand of peace and honor for thee.
I be our land, glorious and free.
Amen.
And I proudly served as a president of the Peel Regional Police Association.
And I've worked in Peel.
I've worked here in Brampton for more than 25 years.
I started just down the street in 21 Division.
That was my home base and this was one of my control zones.
So when I tell you, I used to work on these streets.
I used to look after these neighborhoods and take care of these communities.
I can tell you, I know that from the bottom of my heart because I've worked in it.
But I'm proud to stand here today and say that the Peel Regional Chiefs Association is here to make a change.
Make a change with all of you and support a leader who will make this good.
Restore mandatory minimus.
He will slam the revolving door of criminality and put violent offenders where they belong, behind bars.
It is no longer acceptable for them to be out on our streets.
He will put victims before criminals.
He will put families before politics.
And he will put safety before ideology.
My friends, this isn't about right or left.
This is about right and wrong.
So let's take back our communities.
bring it let's bring it home and if you had doubt at all the courage of our police officers let's look back to 2022.
Bail and Bloodshed 00:06:30
Two days after Christmas near Brantford, OPP Constable Greg Persella was shot and killed.
The accused, Randall McKenzie, had a long history of convictions for violent crime, but guess what?
He was out on bail.
He had already attacked his ex-girlfriend and been caught with an illegal firearm.
He'd been denied bail at first, but then the judge changed his mind and turned him loose.
These are just one of the many examples that if we look over to 2018 in Mississauga, a 14-year-old boy, Riley, was killed by two brothers, one of whom was out on bail for robbery, death threats, and violating other bail conditions.
So he violates the bail conditions and they let him out on bail again.
Five years later, they pled guilty to the lesser offense of manslaughter, which the family rightly called a denial of justice.
And then if you turn the page to the next story, you have Darian's grandparents, Flo and Paul, who are here today.
In Brampton, Darian was a beautiful and beloved young woman from a loving family whose life was taken tragically five years ago.
The accused was an ex of hers who was out on bail for weapons charges, violence, and breaking contact orders with her.
Unbelievably, as we gather here today, he can apply for bail again.
No family should have to face that.
And then there's Tori Stafford.
In 2009, Michael Rafferty and Terry Lynn McClintock murdered Tori just a few months shy of her ninth birthday.
Despite being sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years, the Carney Trudeau Liberals let Rafferty move to a medium security prison.
And McClintock was moved to a healing lodge in 2018.
A move that was only reversed because of strong pressure from conservative members of parliament in the House of Commons.
Now, this radical wave of crime is not happening by accident.
These radical decisions are not being simply handed out by judges.
They are being imposed by catch and release laws of the Liberal government.
Ron is running for us in Oakville, but he's Oakville East, but he is a longtime police officer, including for Peel.
Yes, sir.
And tell me what you've seen from catch and release under Liberal Bill C-75.
If I were to explain to you and have you live the life of an average police officer just over the last six years, ever since Bill C-75 came in in 2019, it would keep you up for decades.
And it's terrible.
We have families who have lost their loved ones, their kids in their own household from fentanyl overdoses, and police officers and first responders have to tell the family.
We have repeat violent offenders committing murders, carjackings, home invasions, and when we catch them, we have to tell these innocent Canadian victims, good people with their family, their loved ones in their house, that the person who did this was on bail.
And we're trying everything we can do to keep this person in custody, but this Liberal government has always led them out.
That heartbreak was the reason why I got involved with Pierre Polyev.
I had been lobbying to government as an independent police officer to say, please bring back common sense.
And out of all of the politicians I had met years ago, I'd met with Pierre Polyev.
He was the only politician to ever ask me, how do we fix it?
And Ron, I'm happy to say that we will fix it.
A Canada-first Conservative government will repeal catch and release bail and end C-75.
Love you too, buddy.
Who's this guy?
What's your name?
Anthony.
Say hi to everyone, Anthony.
Hi, everyone.
Anthony, why did you come here today?
To support you.
Thank you very much, good young man.
How old are you?
I'm 12.
Wow.
And what do you want to see for our country?
I want to see crimes being stopped.
I want to see Canada turn good again.
Bring it home.
Way to go, bud.
Thank you.
Way to go.
What a great kid.
Maybe a future prime minister over there.
Right now, the government allows 99% of shipping containers to come in and go out without inspection.
Where do you think all the stolen cars go?
On a shipping container.
So imagine this very simple idea.
You've got a CBSA officer.
We're going to hire 2,000 more of those, too.
And he sits there.
You can tell me if this is a good idea, okay?
I know you're not CBSA, but would this work?
So you've got the manifest, and it says that in the shipping container is widgets.
And then you look at the scanner, and it shows that it's a beamer.
Well, then you go and you pull the beamer out of the container.
You call the guy on the VIN and say, were you planning to send your beamer to Turkey today?
And he says, no, I was going to drive it to work, but it went missing in this morning.
Oh, we've got it over at the Port of Montreal.
You can come get it.
And then you find out who booked the shipping container.
You go to that guy and say, you're under arrest.
You have a right to remain silent.
What do you think?
Would that work?
I don't know.
I'm just a simple boy from the prairies, but it seems like it would make sense to me, right?
Yeah, that's right.
Common sense.
And we're going to have watchtowers that scan the frontier border to stop illegal crossings from happening.
will also have more frontline officers and less back office bureaucrats and consultants.
Managed Track Cop Truck Away 00:04:23
And we're going to pay for all this by canceling the ridiculous multi-billion dollar gun grab that targets hunters and sports shooters.
Well, the rally is over.
A tough on crime speech by Pierre Polyev.
Hundreds of people.
I don't know if it was thousands.
You know, I saw estimates that suggested it was in the thousands, but I also saw them closing.
You know how big rooms have sort of segmented doors?
So they closed the room to make it a little smaller.
That concerned me a little bit.
There were a lot of candidates here from the Brampton area.
The speech was fairly high energy, but I have to tell you, I'm a little bit worried.
If you're in the greater Toronto area and you give people a few days' notice, even if they did have 2,000 people, and I'm not sure if they did, shouldn't it be bigger?
I saw that amazing rally in Edmonton where there were between 10 and 15,000 people.
They had to get an airplane hangar or something, some huge factory-style building to fit everybody.
But that's Alberta.
I mean, the Conservatives are going to do well in Alberta.
They need to do well in the greater Toronto area.
I'm not talking about downtown Toronto, fancy pantsy Toronto.
I'm talking about in the GTA, the greater Toronto area, half an hour outside this city.
This is a very hardworking area.
It's a multicultural area, but all the candidates for the party are multicultural.
They're seek.
One was a Kawk.
The local police force just endorsed the party.
They should have had a two, three, four, 5,000 person rally here.
I won't lie to you, I'm a little worried about it.
Listen, the election still has halfway to go.
It's still time to do whatever is necessary.
I was glad to be here.
It's wall-to-wall love for rebel news.
But Pierre Polyev's got to fight hard these next two weeks because right now, if I had to bet, if I had to go with my gut, I hate to say it.
Mark Carney, the World Economic Forum Director, the favored son of China, is on track to become our new prime minister.
Believe me, I hate saying those words.
It's just my honest sense of things as of today.
There's a little bit of a coda to the story earlier where the police told me to shut down our truck to get our truck away.
As you may know, we put a little Twitter video of my interaction with that police officer online, and I got a message sent to me by the Conservative Party saying they checked with all their staff and no one, no one instructed the police to shoe us away.
Really?
Now, I managed to track down the RCMP officer, again, that friendly lady who in a friendly way said, get the truck away.
And I said, look, the Conservative Party is denying that this happened, but I find it hard to believe that the police would make this up out of whole cloth.
And she said that it was the private security who instructed her and I should take it up with them.
So I will.
I just wanted to draw a line under that because it's not the conservative way to be censorious.
At least it shouldn't be.
And it certainly is not the conservative way to tell rebel news that we can't express ourselves, or at least it shouldn't be.
I mean, that's Aaron O'Toole stuff.
That's Andrew Scheer's stuff, stuff that's best left in the past.
So I did reconnect with that cop.
I managed to find that cop again, which was not easy.
And she said it was the private security.
So I'll take it back to them.
Anyways, I just wanted to end, to tell you the end of that story.
We did sort of chase it down.
I don't know what it means, but I hope that the Conservative Party of Canada continues to embrace freedom of speech.
I don't want them to become another Mark Carney light party.
Well, we're covering this campaign from coast to coast from Drea Humphrey, who's got you covered on the west coast, to Alexa Lavoie in La Belle Provence of Quebec and Ottawa and Toronto.
And we got rebels everywhere.
Sheila was just at the big rally in Edmonton.
Help us out and stay informed.
