Sheila Gunn Reid interviews Rebel News journalists Yankee Pollack and Efron Monsanto, deployed last-minute to the RNC in Milwaukee amid Secret Service delays, while protesters mock Trump’s "divine intervention" near-miss assassination. Joel Pollack highlights the convention’s emotional urgency despite Trump’s Manhattan conviction. Amber Rose’s OnlyFans-backed speech sparks debate, with Matt Walsh criticizing her inclusion. Bruce from Alberta argues the UN’s gun ban targets lawful owners, not criminals, and urges conservatives to defend property rights. The episode blends security chaos, political polarization, and grassroots frustration over Milwaukee’s decline, framing the RNC as a battleground for America’s future. [Automatically generated summary]
Republicans gather just days after an assassination attempt on Donald Trump and rebel news is there on the ground.
and you're watching the gun show a little bit different in that i am talking to rebel news journalists who are on the ground on location on a story
Usually I talk to them once they get back from a story or I talk to newsmakers that the mainstream media ignores.
But I think this story is the biggest story in the world right now.
And I think it will be for weeks and months to come.
It's the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump, which was a hand of God near miss.
And the Republican National Convention is taking place right now, just days after that assassination attempt.
We're seeing a different Donald Trump.
I mean, he's the same.
He's the still sort of same fun-loving, funny Republican president, former president, now candidate for the presidency.
But he's emotional in a way that we've never seen before.
Here, take a look at this clip.
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land.
Sing it.
The biggest story in the world, we thought, how could we not have rebel news journalists there?
So we sent our social media manager, Yankee Pollack, up from Florida to Milwaukee, where the convention is.
And we sent Efron Monsanto, who is our head of video down from Toronto.
And the two of them are working together outside of the GOP convention right now.
Hopefully they'll make it inside once they pass their security clearances.
But this is a last-minute trip.
So we're waiting on that to bring you the sights and sounds of what's happening outside this historic, truly historic Republican National Convention.
So here's my interview with Yankee, and you'll see Efron in the background.
And then we also talk to some protesters as best you can talk to protesters.
Take a listen.
I'm good.
Now is my good friend, someone who normally works behind the scenes here at Rebel News in social media, Yankee Pollock.
And he is in Milwaukee at the first RNC event, convention, post the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
And Yankee and Efron behind the camera, thanks so much for working so hard at this historic event.
Tell us where you are right now and give us the lay of the land.
So I'm right outside of one of the entrances to the convention that's right behind me with full police security and all of that.
And right behind me over there, you can see there's a handful of protesters, literally like two, I think, right now.
Yesterday there was a bit more and got to speak to them.
And, you know, there's a bunch of, turn around, there's a bunch of GOP and Trump supporters around, locals and delegates alike, and it's been a blast out here.
So tell us what security is like, because I mean, of course, this should be a time of heightened security given the security failures, it sounds like at the Trump event that led to his attempted assassination.
What's security like outside?
Security is crazy around here.
There's a few block radius blocked off with police everywhere, car checkpoints, people checkpoints, and just cops everywhere.
I hope it's more than security feeder and they're actually doing something on like on Saturday.
Now, you had the, I'm going to say pleasure, maybe I should say opportunity to talk to some of the Democrat counter protesters who couldn't even set aside their differences, not even for a couple of days, while Donald Trump's ear heals.
Tell us what they're like.
Are they toning down their rhetoric or same old Democrats?
Those people there.
I'm trying.
Maybe you could hear.
Uh, they're just, I'm not even sure what he's chanting, but no, they're not toning down the rhetoric.
Uh.
You know, earlier there was a bunch of, you know, they just chant.
I'm not going to repeat what they say.
You could just show the footage of what they're saying.
What brings you out today?
John's a loser.
What do you think about the Saturday assassination attack?
Don't give a shit.
Y'all like Second Amendment, right?
The Puss of us exercising his Second Amendment fucking right.
What do you think about the Trump supporter that died?
Don't give a shit.
I don't give a shit.
Come in the top.
How many times you have a minute?
I don't give a shit.
I don't give a shit.
So you don't give a shit about American diet.
I don't give a s**t.
Where's he at?
Who's he at?
No, bitch.
I don't want your time to say anything.
This is us.
YV us.
We don't give a chance at your passion.
You want to answer a few questions?
Yankee Pollock for Rebel News in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
And right behind me, you have a handful of protesters.
The entrance for the event is right over there.
And they're just shouting.
I'm going to try to speak to convention goers and these protesters and see what they have to say.
It seems like it's going to be an eventful day.
Go to rebelnewsusa.com for more of these stuff.
And please help us crowdfund this event.
It's going to be very eventful, and we need your help.
Give me two!
Give me two!
Give me two horses!
Give me two horses!
What brings you out today?
Death to the GOP.
Trump has already killed the GOP.
Now he's in the process of destroying the MAGA.
Okay?
Biden's going to win by $25 million.
The reason he's staying in is because even if we lose the Electoral College, which I don't think we will, Biden will stay in.
Then, oh yeah, he's going to stay in.
He's going to say, Supreme Court gave him immunity.
Supreme Court gave him immunity.
So he's going to stay in.
He's going to have the military.
He's going to have the Blue State National Guard.
He's going to have blue law enforcement and people like us.
Let Kevin Roberts know it will not be bloodless.
They're going down.
They're going down hard.
The military takes out the hard targets and the Patriots, we take out the loners and the f ⁇ ing idiots hanging the Trump flags.
Guaranteed, the GOP is destroyed.
They're already destroyed.
We're waiting for the November election.
It was GOP, RIP, 2023.
We're just waiting for the headstone on November.
That's it.
What do you think about the attempt assassination on Saturday?
Okay, Trump and Trump and the Project 25 were having problems.
Okay, they were having problems.
So they got together in those 10 days that Trump wasn't gone to get Trump in line.
And just to give him a little push, they had that kid.
I don't even think good ammunition.
Okay, just to let him know.
Just to let him know.
They could have killed him.
They don't need him anymore.
Now they got JD Vance, Minnie Trump, Trump Jr.
And of course they were going to blame it on the Democrats.
That worked for the Nazis in 1933 when they burned down the Reichstag.
Blame it on the communists.
They won.
What do you think about the Trump supporters that were killed during the on Saturday?
That's terrible.
But what were they doing there?
Guaranteed Biden by 25 million minimum.
I don't care about the electoral college.
That's why Baden's staying in.
He's going to stay in and declare martial law.
Thank you, Scott.
Thank you, Supreme Court, for giving us immunity.
They're going down.
Free Kyle runs with Seagaisley.
Remember Kyle Rittenhouse in Wisconsin kill those people?
Nazi.
Seagaisley.
Right here.
Seagaisle.
That's what those that support him are.
They're Nazis.
They're Nazis.
They're fascists.
And we ain't letting them have it.
There's more left and right in this country.
But here, we have a friendly clown, which, where is he?
I did an interview with him.
That video should be out soon.
You know, when I say make America great again, fine.
My concern right now is make MPS great again, because it was at one point.
Make Milwaukee great again.
We used to be the toolbox of the world.
We're no longer that.
In fact, A.O. Smith, where my grandfather retired out of, when they tore that billion down, I cried.
And I'm crying for much.
You know.
So, yeah, I want to come down here, show some support, find other supporters.
I'm trying to figure out where they're holding up.
I don't have the credentials to get in there.
Oh, my God, would I love to make a balloon for the president?
This past Saturday, what do you make of the attempted assassination of President Trump?
Well, the press finally got what they've been calling for for years.
And honestly, I'm a kid from the 70s.
I remember the rhetoric back then.
You know, they've been going off calling, you know, conservatives what the Democrats have always been.
Hold, they're all racist.
Well, no Republican ever owned a slave.
All right.
Oh, well, they're this, they're that.
They're everything that the Democrats have always been.
It was Al Gore's father that filibustered against the civil rights movement.
Why is the press not on that?
Why aren't they telling the true history?
They won't do it because it doesn't serve their purpose.
It keeps us divided.
And I'm tired of this divide and conquer crap.
You know, I actually feel for that poor kid that to an extent, I don't, I feel more for obviously President Trump, but how did he end up on that rooftop?
What were all the steps in his life?
What were his parents teaching him?
Because that's where it starts.
And all we know about them is they were psychologists.
Wow, what a shocker.
The highly educated.
Okay, I want to know if any of those educated can build Esmeralda, can bake a batch of cookies, another thing that I do professionally.
Or if they, you know, make a balloon animal for a kid and make them laugh.
No, they're more interested in actually killing kids.
I'm not going to mince words about that.
Now, you guys got me on camera.
I know who Rebel Nose is.
Praying to God that you guys are who you are.
If you turn out to be CNN, oh, shit, yeah, that fucked up.
We're Rebel News.
Yeah, no, I haven't watched a bunch of Rebel News lately.
I've been kind of busy with other things, so I didn't recognize you, but I recognize the Rebel right away.
So, yeah, there's a bunch of different people with different characters.
Now he's chanting, he lost, he really, really lost.
But, you know, so, and I shouldn't call him a he.
He told me he's a it.
He finally told me he's genderless.
So we now know his gender.
It's very important.
Which is none.
Which is none, yes.
Right.
Now, I guess to the credit of the Republicans, they're allowing these protesters to just do their thing in spite of the fact that there was an assassination attempt just a couple of days ago.
Those allowing protesters to be near the RNC convention, given what just happened, sort of blows a hole in the whole Trump's a fascist and doesn't care about our civil liberties nonsense coming from the Democrats.
Yeah, I mean, yesterday I was speaking to someone and he was telling me Trump is a fascist, but also Joe Biden is not going to leave office and he's going to do basically an insurrection and stay in power if he loses.
That's what he told me.
Republicans' Sentiment Shift?00:07:00
So like, yeah, these people are projecting what they actually are.
Yeah, they're going to.
I saw that some of these Democrats think that it would be best if the Biden administration pulls a bit of a PLO and just stays on forever.
Yeah, that's what they pretty much said.
Now, tell me about the sentiment of the Republicans who are coming and going.
So you've been talking to normal people.
You've been talking to journalists.
And you've been talking to like high-profile members of the GOP.
So let's start with the normal people, the people I care about the most.
What are they saying about Trump's prospects going forward?
So everyone definitely thinks that Trump's after post-assassination, Trump is different.
He's, I don't know, maybe more serious, but also they think the prospects of winning went up post-assassination.
You know, people, I think, people on the sidelines, like even Elon Musk, like the day of the assassination attempt, endorsed Trump.
And there's a lot of, there's a whole list of people that were like on the sidelines and they're like, you know, I've seen enough.
It's now or never.
America's on the line.
So I've heard a lot of people say that from politicians to GOP insiders, journalists, people, everyone is pretty much in the same lines in terms of about that.
Now, I want to ask you, because you just mentioned it, people are saying Trump is different somehow.
Like we all know Trump, he's kind of funny, goofy, does his little dance dance thing that he does, and we love him for it.
But I saw a different Trump when he walked out onto the convention floor the other night.
He was visibly emotional.
It looked like he was fighting tears.
That's a Trump that we have never seen before.
What are people saying about that?
You know, I've asked people about that.
And again, they think, you know, when you come back close to death, you know, something changes in you a lot of times.
I've never had a near-death experience myself.
But others that have, you know, say that and that, you know, he's just different from what he seems.
Again, I wasn't close up to him.
But from what I could see, I watched that video too.
It's a lot more emotional, Trump.
Yeah.
Now, I want to ask you a little bit about the people who are speaking at the convention.
There's some controversy, I guess, in some circles, although I'm not sure, about Amber Rose speaking.
My beloved Matt Walsh has said that it should have been a no-no to have somebody who is an OnlyFans model speaking at the Republican National Convention.
But I'm on the opposite end of that.
I love Matt Walsh and I hate to disagree with him.
But if we go around evangelizing the good word of conservatism and then we get some takers, we probably shouldn't push them out the other side for not being pure enough.
Has anybody outside been talking about that at all?
Honestly, nobody mentioned it.
I'll ask more people about that.
But yeah, I don't think anyone here took issue with it, to be honest.
I'm glad because that proves to me that the internet is not real life.
Now, I want to ask you, Yankee, to explain to people why you are on the outside as opposed to the inside of the convention, because people are going to wonder, were you allowed in?
Were you not allowed in?
Or is the GOP blocking journalists, as the mainstream media would probably like to say?
Why are you guys on the outside right now?
So we signed up pretty much last minute.
So, you know, I opposed the assassination attempt, we decided to come here.
And we have been approved by the GOP to enter.
Now, the Secret Service is holding us back.
So we're waiting, hopefully, later today, or maybe tomorrow, we'll get in and we'll do some stuff from the inside.
But right now, unfortunately, we're on the outside where there's a lot of journalism to be done.
So, yeah, that's pretty much it.
I think sometimes that's where the fun stuff happens.
The inside is kind of controlled and you don't get the interesting stuff.
I mean, you'll meet some interesting people in there, but a lot of the sights and sounds sometimes are outside.
I don't want to keep you guys too long.
We'll beef up the show with clips of the work that you're doing.
But I want to ask you two questions before I let you go.
What can we expect from the convention for the rest of the week?
So there's a lot of videos coming.
There's the scene setter with radical left protesters that is already published.
There's a video with Joel Pollock.
I think you've been on the show many times.
Ezra has him all the time.
Hi, Joel.
So what brings you to Milwaukee?
I'm part of the Breitbart News team covering the Republican National Convention, and I'll be in Chicago next month to cover the Democratic National Convention.
The two major party conventions in a presidential election year.
This one, of course, is very special because of the circumstances coming just days, hours really, after President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated in Pennsylvania.
So the mood here is quite urgent and emotional and excited because Trump had a good chance of winning coming into this convention.
And now people feel like the country is rallying around him.
So it does feel like this campaign is picking up a lot of momentum as it goes further on.
So this convention is unlike any I've ever been to really in the expectation of success, which is new.
Six or seven weeks ago, it didn't seem likely President Trump had just been convicted in Manhattan of a bogus crime, but he was due to be sentenced last week and the judge postponed the sentencing hearing until September.
But he could still go to prison before the campaign is over.
Who knows?
But the mood here is very upbeat.
So that's why I'm here.
I'm here to cover the campaign, to tell the stories of the people who've come here, to interview policymakers and newsmakers, and to enjoy Milwaukee, which is a fantastic town.
And there's others, other, a lot of videos coming with different people.
Averted Cataclysm00:02:28
We're here until Thursday night, so we're going to pump out a bunch of videos.
It's all going to be on RebelNewsUSA.com.
And you could help us and support us in this mission of being here.
It's not cheap, but we do it for you guys.
What do you make of the Trump attempt assassination on Saturday?
I mean, we witnessed a miracle.
I don't care if you're religious or not.
We witnessed something of divine intervention because had that bullet caught its mark, we'd probably be in civil war, a hot civil war, and rapidly descending into a World War III, in a very meaningful, non-hyperbolic sense.
Like Franz Ferdinand, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was a relatively, I would say, low-level politician, but that triggered the world into a World War I because you had international, you know, global powers trying to fight for, you know, over the very, you know, similar stuff to what they're fighting over today.
And you have one destabilizing act that gives any impetus to global powers to make their move.
We would have seen that 100%.
These psychopaths who are praising this, you know, he shouldn't have missed yada yada.
They don't understand the hell that they would have ushered in, but for this act of God, I say, that prevented, avoided a World War III.
And videos came out, like people showing footage of how Trump literally just moved his head like just then.
A quarter of an inch.
Quarter of an inch.
And that saved his life, but also saved America.
If you don't believe in God, you'll call it an extreme fluke.
It's like that scene from Pulp Fiction.
Whether you call it an act of God or something incredibly a fluke.
It's a cosmic fluke, at the very least.
It's a divine intervention to have averted that.
Now, the gentleman, Corey, who died, I mean, it's tough to say it's a miracle when someone actually got killed.
Nonetheless, at some point, you can't really prevent evil from being evil.
But what we saw was an aversion of what would have been a cataclysmic event in the history of humanity.
And as it turns out now, it looks like it's going to be cataclysmic in the opposite sense.
There is a unification, not among the evil people who supported this, cheered it on, whatever, or mocked Trump in the aftermath, but there's a unification that enough is enough.
And of the reasonable people of this universe, you can't tolerate this type of evil.
They spend eight years calling Trump a racist, a tyrant, an extremist, a threat to humanity, an existential threat.
Unification Against Cataclysm00:03:11
And then security has this inexplicable lapse of security.
They couldn't put snipers on the roof because it was too slow.
I mean, it's idiotic.
We averted cataclysmic disaster by an act of God.
I'm sounding religious.
I'm not religious, by the way, people, but it's tough not to understand that that's what we just witnessed.
Right.
You came up from Florida, from the free state of Florida, coaxing you to leave there.
It feels almost unfair.
And then Efron, our beloved Efron, fresh back from London, turned and burned and then went all the way to Milwaukee to bring people the news.
So we just appreciate how hard you guys are working.
And if our viewers want to support us, they'll go to that link that you just mentioned.
Before I let you go, it's Wednesday morning.
We're filming this.
What's been your funnest video so far from the convention?
I must be the scene setter with the loonies.
Okay, Yankees.
Do you want to go over?
Let's go over.
Let's go over.
Let's go.
Let's go over to them.
Again, there's only two right now.
And yesterday there were in different spots.
There were different ones.
But let's see.
Let's see if they want to.
Doesn't want to speak.
Thank you.
Don't make me car sick.
Okay.
Yes.
I'm going to Alex Jones your asses.
I'm going to Alex Jones your asses.
What does that mean?
You know where Alex Jones is.
Yes.
I am going to Alex Jones your asses.
But what does it mean?
Can you explain?
Okay, I think your audience is smart enough to do that.
Okay.
I'm going to Alex Jones, y'all asses.
And what is your...
I'm going to Alex Jones.
Okay, that's all I got.
Progressivism is a mental illness.
Is she saying that the assassination attempt was a false flag?
She said she didn't care.
She didn't give a shit about it.
I don't remember she said it was a false flag.
Her shirt says false flag.
No, yeah, yeah, yeah.
She did.
Yeah, it does say in her shirt.
I forgot.
June 13th is false flag.
Yeah, she is saying that.
What do you think about the Trump assassination?
This person, no gender, does not want to tell us.
Oh, you know, like these people go into a protest, and a protest is a public expression of your views, and then you ask them to publicly express their views, and they're like, sorry, I can't talk to you right now.
Yeah, you know, it's their right to be here.
Yeah.
I don't want them to leave, but you know, if you're out here and like we have thousands of viewers, like tell us what you think, right?
You know what?
I hope those crazy people never stop because that is a perfect synopsis of who and what they are.
Bruce On Small Arms Ownership00:05:14
Yankee, I want to let you guys get back to work.
Sounds like there's a lot of work to do.
Thanks so much for jumping on the call, you guys.
And I can't wait to see what you guys do next.
Well, friends, we've come to the portion of the show wherein I invite your viewer feedback.
I say it every week.
I know it gets redundant, but we get new people here all the time.
We have to tell them the rules.
Unlike the mainstream media, we do not seek Justin Trudeau's approval, permission, or money to do the work that we do here at Rebel News.
We rely on you, which is why I let you have your say about the work that we do here.
I want to know what you think.
Do you like it?
Do you hate it?
Is there something that we should do different?
Are there stories that you want us to chase and pursue?
It's the reason I give you my email address right now.
It's Sheila at RebelNews.com.
Put gun show letters in the subject line so I know why you're emailing me because I'm sure that you are well aware that I get dozens, if not sometimes hundreds of emails every single day, depending on what's happening in the world, what controversial thing that we've said or done that day.
So, yes, gun show letters in the subject line.
But if you're watching the show somewhere else or you're watching a clip, leave a comment on Rumble or on YouTube.
I go looking over there sometimes for your viewer feedback.
I just don't want to hear from the paid subscribers.
I want to hear from people who might one day become a paid subscriber.
So, regular, long-time viewers of the show will know that I have a bit of an email versus broadcast exchange with a longtime supporter of Rebel News, Bruce, in Radway, Alberta.
And as I always point out, Radway has one heck of a military surplus store there.
So, if you need camping clothes, that's a great store to go to.
Anyway, and I'm not sponsored by them, of course, I wouldn't be.
I just know about it and I kind of like it.
So, Bruce writes to me on last week's show with Rick Igersich from the National Firearms Association about his trip to the United Nations, wherein the United Nations, every six or so years, goes out of their way to try to ban private handgun ownership.
And not just handgun ownership, but private small arms ownership.
You see, there's this move to say, well, there's this illicit small arms trade.
Where are they getting all the illicit small arms?
Oh, it must be law-abiding Canadian gun owners deciding to become lawless and buy guns and then give them to criminals.
So-called straw purchases.
It is so rare, it's outrageous.
Most of the illicit guns in this country are either through robberies of law-abiding handgun owners.
So you're scapegoating the victims of the crime for the crimes committed by the materials that are stolen.
It would be like blaming me if my car gets stolen and then it's used in a bank heist.
You would never do that with a car, right?
So, why do you do it with a gun?
Except for it serves Justin Trudeau's purposes.
Also, you know, the guns are trafficked across the poorest border from the United States.
And Justin Trudeau is not doing anything about that because if you tightened up the border, you would stop the flow of people too.
And he just can't have that stopping the flow of future liberal voters across the border.
So, anyway, the crime rates go up and progressive politicians continue to scapegoat the law-abiding instead of actually doing something about the problems they created.
All that is to say, Bruce writes to me and says, Hi, Sheila.
I'm glad you have Rick on your show from time to time.
Yeah, me too.
This is truly a property issue.
It is true.
I just pointed that out to you with my car scenario.
You know, you would never do this with other property, wherein you are to blame for what a criminal does with your stolen property.
The United Nations knows that power comes from the barrel of a gun, so they want to take our guns from us so that we will be helpless.
It's like declawing a cat so that he or she can't scratch the hand that feeds.
Let's stay wild instead of being the UN's domestic livestock.
I joined the NFA for five years and I'm proud to support them.
I also have written Shannon Stubbs, as a conservative MP, about gun ownership, and she agrees it's important.
She's very strong on this issue.
I know I'd feel much safer if I had even a plinker rifle.
The bad guys need not know that I'm almost blind.
That gun would be my equalizer.
Neither would I shoot anybody unless my life was in imminent danger.
I think most people feel the same way you do.
Bruce writes, Give Margaret Scratcher some cheek scratches from Delta and me.
Delta is Bruce's cat, and Margaret Scratcher is my cat.
And naming the cat Margaret Scratcher is the only way we got a cat in the first place, was leaving me up to the naming rights.
Bring News from the Convention00:00:16
Well, everybody, that's the show for tonight.
Thanks so much for tuning in.
Thanks so much to our team in Milwaukee working hard to bring you news from the Republican Convention on the ground.
If you'd like to support their journalism, as my friend Yankee said, please go to rebelnewsusa.com.
