Ezra Levant highlights Justin Trudeau’s 23% support from Canadian religious groups, plummeting from 43%, with evangelicals at 73% backing Conservatives and Muslims favoring the NDP. Despite Trudeau’s pro-Hamas UN votes—including $10M for Hamas-linked UN RWA—Jews (42% Conservative) remain his most loyal base. Levant condemns violent, anti-police UCAM/UQAM encampments, where protesters block dialogue, chant genocidal slogans, and illegally occupy private property, while security prioritizes removing journalists over dismantling the protests. His analysis suggests Trudeau’s survival hinges on weak successors and potential CCP leverage, raising questions about Canada’s shifting political alliances amid rising extremism. Tonight, a new Angus Reed poll measures Canadian support for the liberals and conservatives by religion.
Where do you think the Muslims are and where do you think the Jews are?
That's today.
It's May 21st, and you're watching the Ezra Levant Show.
Shame on you, you censorious bug.
A quick news item, lots of opinion polls, all of them bad for Justin Trudeau.
Seriously, I don't think he's been even close in a year in the polls, but a poll is not a prediction.
It's a snapshot at a moment in time.
The only poll that matters, as you know, is the one on Election Day.
And he'll kick that can down the road as far as possible.
I did a little poll of my own.
It's not a real poll.
I asked my Twitter followers, why is Trudeau sticking around?
I came up with four possibilities.
I'm sure there are more.
And I guess any person's decision in life is likely a combination of answers.
Here's what my viewers said.
He loves power.
That's why he's not resigning.
He loves power was the top answer.
Billions more to steal was a close second.
Has no other options is a third.
I think at one point he thought he would have some international UN job or something.
And successors all too weak was chosen by a handful of people.
Those are the questions I put in my little Twitter poll, obviously not scientific.
I saw people adding their own ideas in the Twitter replies.
Other reasons, including the suggestion that the Chinese Communist Party has a damning file on him and they're calling the shots and they're not done with him yet.
It's an interesting theory and it's utterly credible.
But that's not a real random poll, of course.
That's a survey of self-selecting people, namely people who follow me on Twitter.
And in any event, it's just a guess.
You can't actually find out what's in someone's mind by polling other people about it.
But still, it was fun to do.
But here's a real poll, though, done by Angus Reed, as you know.
I'll read the headline they put on it.
Half of Muslims and Jews say their opinion of Trudeau has worsened in recent weeks.
That's true, I'm sure.
Here's the opening paragraph of their press release on it.
Canada's shifting demographics has meant a commensurate shift in the way political parties look for voters.
Modern politicians have sought to appeal to support bases across diverse linguistic, cultural, and religious diasporas.
In 2015, the liberals appealed to Muslim voters, helped power Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to a majority government.
But recent tensions brought on by the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and the resulting humanitarian crisis have changed the political landscape.
Okay, but I don't want to talk so much about that.
I want to look at a few of the numbers, and I want to point something out in particular.
Let me show you.
So here's a chart that they published.
You can see the average support for the different parties based on all Canadians of all religions.
According to this poll was 43% for Pierre Polyev's Conservatives, 23% for Trudeau's liberals, 20% for the NDP, and then small numbers for the bloc and other parties, as you can see.
Now, that sounds about right to me.
It's the same as we've seen in other polls.
But then look at the breakdowns by religion.
For Christians of all sorts, the numbers are more dramatic.
53% for the Conservatives, 22% for the Liberals, and just 11% from the NDP.
So the Liberal support is about the same for Christians, but Christians tend to refuse to support Jagmeet Singh's socialists, and they choose Pier Polyev's conservatives more often.
Not a real surprise.
But there are different types of Christians, of course.
Here's the breakdown of that in a later chart by Angus Reed.
So take a look at this.
He breaks down Christians into three groups.
Look at the support for the Conservatives.
Catholics are at 45% for Conservatives, a sniff more than ordinary Canadians.
Protestants are at a whopping 58%.
And evangelical Christians are at 73% support for the Conservatives.
That's an amazing number.
In fact, look at the opposite side of that.
Only 5% of evangelical Christians support Trudeau, whereas 14% of evangelicals would support the NDP.
I find that sort of interesting.
Just one more detail.
You can see self-described atheists are the second highest group to support the NDP, fully 30%.
The highest NDP supporters, Muslim Canadians at 41%, which explains why Jagmeet Singh and Justin Trudeau appear to be in a battle to see who can be more pro-Hamas than the other guy.
Now, the Conservatives, as you can see, would win just 15% of the Muslim vote, but it's a rapidly growing vote.
Nearly 2 million Canadians are Muslim today, compared to around 400,000 Jews, for example.
And let's look at that Jewish number, and this is what drives me nuts.
Yes, more Jews would vote Conservative than would vote liberal, if this poll is accurate.
42% to 33%.
And 20% would vote for the NDP.
But what's with that 33% for Trudeau?
If you look, it's literally the highest of any religious group in Canada to support Trudeau.
Jews support Trudeau more than even Muslims do.
What's wrong with the Jews?
And I say this as a Jew.
For eight months, Trudeau has taken the side of Hamas, has poured tens of millions of Canadian tax dollars into the Hamas front group called the UN RWA Relief Works Administration.
Canada has voted against Israel in the UN several times, breaking decades of tradition and precedent.
And Trudeau hasn't said a word against the hurricane of anti-Semitism sweeping our countries, especially our university.
And yet, Jews are the most loyal base of liberal voters, even more than Muslims.
You know, there's a stereotype of Jews being smart for supposedly smart people.
Just Incredible, Just Insane00:04:50
I think we can be pretty stupid.
stay with us for more alexa here in montreal at ucam the university of quebec in montreal where the second encampment is located so So my intro is being filmed after we went there.
So you can see I'm full of painting.
You will see this report is just incredible, just insane.
So our goal was just going there, try to engage conversation, ask them how long they are going to be there, especially because we heard that those steel fences had been stolen in Montreal.
And also, I wanted to ask them if they will return those fences afterwards.
And also, because you can release a statement saying that they have no ties with Israel.
So, please just leave.
There is no reason for occupying our premises.
But still, they are here, they are occupying the place.
They locked the whole park so you cannot enter there.
They also painted some graffiti on the wall of the university as a cab.
All cop are bastards.
If you think this is actually for Palestine, it's mostly for anti-capitalism against the police, against colonialism.
And this is actually the movement of Antifa and the Black Bloc.
So, you will see those people that you will see in that video.
It's mostly white privileged students.
They are there for just causing trouble.
They were already ready with their umbrellas, ready to go at war against us.
So, we were unfortunate because they painted us.
They are always ready with like multiple fascist tactics against people who are just trying to get their side of the story.
So, this is my report, but I want you to do something for me.
I want you to go over theportamas.com.
If you believe that every single person that are here in Canada that are not citizens are doing this kind of disrupting actions and they are glorifying terrorist organizations and they are supporting Hamas and those other like terror organizations, go and sign our petition, theportamas.com.
And now, I let you on the full video because this is just insane.
And this is the true face of who is occupying the land of multiple universities.
You don't have to go out of your parachute.
Yes, we ask you to go out of your parachute.
I need to show you the other side of the story.
But as you will see in this report, it can be dangerous for us.
News travels quickly, and sometimes it's hard to find available security.
Today demonstrates just how critical it is these encampments are not peaceful and can be quite dangerous.
Please help us raise funds to ensure the safety of myself and my colleagues by chipping in at journalistdefensefund.com.
Why do you panic?
Do you want to panic?
No, I just want to go.
I don't want to go because you are currently on a university.
I'm going to go to university and ask me to go because it's a terrain privé.
I think we are here.
We are students at Randolph.
I think we are here.
You are not just students.
Why We Support Palestine00:11:07
It has been shown that you are more than half of them.
You are not students here, so I just asked what you are going to do here.
It's really easy to talk with you.
You have seen graffiti on the moors.
Do you think it's intelligent to make graffiti on the moors?
We don't interact with you, sorry.
Who's who's that?
Are you going to take them?
Are you going to put them on the next one?
In addition, there is a beautiful graffiti on one of the moors.
All cops are bastards.
In addition, you should have respect to the police who took your favor for the injunction.
I don't know.
No.
Thank you.
But it seems to be doing graffiti in cabs, it's not very respectable.
With the Palestine, so, so, so!

Are you an student?
Hein, Mr?
Are you an student?
You're not an student?
I was an student.
You don't touch me, first?
What are you talking about?
What are you talking about?
Rebel News Call, please!
It's my assasai Rebel News Call, please!
So you see behind me, like, it took one minute that they got excited by my microphone.
And now I have just a bunch of people with umbrella yelling that we are complicit of a genocide that is actually untrue.
We just show what is going on in those schools, those universities.
And by the way, you can have said that they have no ties with Israel.
So it's very surprising that they are still occupying it.
You see that man just right there, he's taking pictures.
I don't know who he is.
He refused to identify himself.
It's probably like someone associated with them.
He's taking pictures.
I don't care if they can take my face.
My face is everywhere.
But he pushed me.
He tried to block my camera.
He's trying to intimidate me.
You know, I don't feel intimidated.
I used to be with them.
They are not scary.
They have nothing to do else than yelling, yelling at genocide, yelling at everything else.
But when we come to ask questions, they cannot answer it.
This is what we need to deal with.
Rebel News!
La Palestine va a grand!

He's really peaceful!
It's just for me to be peaceful!
Yes, I want to sing!
Hey, it's good to sing!
So, Antifa tactics.
So they call themselves Antifa, but they are actually the ones who are fascist.
It's all they are.
They don't want to talk to anybody.
They refuse everybody else to talk with us.
They stole the defenses.
And the way the fences is not there.
They took it from, I think it's from the city or a company.
And they did some graffiti on the wall of UCAM.
It's obvious that this movement is not peaceful and actually they cause harm to the real people who are protesting for the cause.
Those people don't know what they are doing Hey it's a paste!
Step up, step up!
Free, free Palestine!
Justice now!
Free, free Palestine!
Justice now!
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
Justice now!
Free free Palestine justice now.
They all have their umbrella ready.
So there is an interesting fact.
So sometimes they were chanting for Palestinian cause and sometimes they were chanting against rebellions.
We see how they are more like enthusiasm to chant against us than for the cops.
News at all!
The world!
It is terrible news at all!
It is terrible news at all!
The world!
Amen!
You approve that, sir?
I don't know the story.

You have some way of law enforcement.
Fascist!
Referee.
Fascist!
It's possible that you wanted...
I wanted my job.
You can't change my job.
This is so stupid.
So, instead of the security of this university, instead of telling them to calm down, to go back to their camp, he told us to go away.
Can you believe that?
Literally, those people are really, really, really aggressive, really violent.
And like now, they will probably call the police, and the police will come here and they will remove us from here.
But at the end of the day, those people are illegally occupying a private property where other students are trying to go to school and learn what they pay for.
Those people, like, it's just stupid.
With, with, with, with the Palestine!
Even if you take a photo, that's not a problem.
With, with, with, with the Palestine!
But even the UQAM asked them to leave.
It's not, it's not a problem.
It's correct, I'm used to it.
It's not a problem.
Witnessing Trouble00:01:27
Oh, shit!
Hey, it's not a problem.
We're going to put it in there.

That's not a problem.
It's a problem.
You are a witness, you see it?
Yes, exactly.
You're a witness.
My camera just costs 1000,000,000.

Okay, can you please, say that you're a witness?
I'm not a witness.
I've had an interaction with Mr. Tampou.
The only thing I tell you is that you can always put it in.
I should get the results of the SPVR for the staff that you want.
If...
If you...
not easy to report on this kind of story, but if you appreciate our work, we will greatly appreciate that you go over Theportamas.com.
You can chip in what you can to encourage our journalism, but also I invite you to sign our petition to make sure that those people who come in Canada who are not Canadian citizens that are promoting and advocating for terrorist organizations will not stay here.
