Miss Understood dives into Twitter’s 150+ FBI emails over election misinformation, Ozempic’s 59% sales surge amid diabetic shortages, and Gucci’s Harry Styles ad—accused of pedophilic symbolism. They mock Julia Fox’s bondage-themed teddy bear post, critique cheek fat removal surgery trends, and slam Cambridge Dictionary’s gender redefinition. Elon Musk’s Fauci tweets and 17M-vote resignation poll fuel skepticism about Twitter’s future, while Hollywood’s grooming of young actresses (like Scarlett Johansson) contrasts with actors’ protections. The episode ties corporate censorship, celebrity influence, and cultural shifts to a broader erosion of transparency and women’s rights. [Automatically generated summary]
This Yule Roth, who, like we said at the beginning, was the head of trust and safety at Twitter before Elon Musk dissolved the entire department because they weren't doing a good job because there was a ton of childborn on Twitter.
That's a ton.
Like, that's weird.
Like, they had the time to go through anyone tweeting and sharing the Hunter Biden laptop story, but they couldn't deal with friggin child pornography.
The most horrific thing in the world.
the most disgusting horror like like disgusting Merry Christmas everyone
Hello, and welcome to Misunderstood, the show for all your culturally and politically misunderstood ladies, gents, and non-binary Santa Clauses.
We are your hosts.
Hosts.
That was such a David Mensi's moment.
I'm Kat.
I'm nerd.
And to-do, we're going to talk about some strange new cosmetic and plastic surgery trends, Gucci's strange campaign starring Harry Styles holding a toddler's mattress.
Ew.
Plus, a lot is going on with Twitter right now.
So we unpack the Twitter lies files, the Twitter files, and the latest news about the company.
We don't have a culture shock moment of the week other than this is our last episode before Kat goes on Mertler.
Mertler.
That's Matt Lee because she's pregnant.
For those of you who don't know, you can't tell.
She is very pregnant.
So send her your e-transfers to buy her.
She needs a Prada bag.
I need a bad Birkenbag.
I need a nanny.
A car.
Anyway, all right.
So we're just going to hop right into it.
So there's this new celebrity weight loss drug.
It's called Ozempic.
And a lot of celebrities use it, as I just said, to lose weight.
Allegedly.
Allegedly, people are saying even Kim Kardashian allegedly used this drug to lose weight in three weeks for the Met Gala to fit into the famous Marilyn Monroe dress.
That she destroyed.
That she destroyed with her big old bungus.
God bless her.
Well, I think she's had the butt removed since then.
Allegedly.
Allegedly.
So I guess it was approved by the FDA in the U.S. in 2017 in its branded name of a semaglutide manufactured by the Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordzik.
Once injected, it mimics a hormone produced in the gut called GLP-1, which regulates insulin and blood sugar levels and is essential for the management of type 2 diabetes.
Basically, users feel fuller for longer, curbing hunger pangs.
Pangs.
So wait, this is a drug that celebrities are using to lose weight, but what's it really for, Kat?
Diabetes.
Oh.
Okay.
And isn't there like a shortage?
Apparently.
There is apparently a shortage of this drug.
So people with diabetes are having a hard time getting access to a drug they need.
Yeah.
So that's okay.
So.
So, you know, during the vaccine rollout, when they're like, oh, there's a hospital bed shortage because unvaccinated people are taking up hospital beds.
And then there was also a story that was like, gunshot victims aren't able to get seen by the emergency room because people are overdosing on ivermectin.
So I don't know.
I don't know anyone who's diabetic who can't get medication.
Yeah, I mean, this is also in the U.S.
So it's hard to say exactly how.
However, so it's like, so, you know, do we know for sure?
No, we don't.
But, but, according to Novo Nordisk's own announcement, their sales have increased by 59% for diabetes-related medication just in 2022 alone.
That's significant.
That's kind of fun.
Even if we don't have actual evidence that diabetes people, diabetics, diabetics can't get their hands on this much-needed life-saving medication, we don't know that for sure, but we do know that by almost 60%, they have increased the sales of this specific or diabetes-related medication.
It is sus.
Especially because The Guardian and Variety, which are both magazines, have called Ozempic Hollywood's worst kept secret, and apparently everyone is on it, which I had never heard of this before.
Clearly, I need to get on it.
But the problem is it costs around $800 to $1,000 per month, so it's very expensive, very elite.
And who can afford that?
Who can afford that?
Other than the rich and famous.
Who, by the way, it's a little bit frustrating because they have access to personal trainers and dieticians and nutritionists, but yet you need to use drugs.
Like, the rest of us are just stuck here running 5K outside and below 40, hoping to die.
We're going to do that every day.
Hoping to God we look good.
That's something I do.
That's something she still does as a pregnant woman.
But it's interesting because apparently another use for the drug is helping obese people so that it helps curb their appetite, which is also kind of like, I understand obesity is a huge problem in the USA, but it's also like, couldn't you just put in the work maybe instead of relying on this drug that people need for diabetes?
No, we have to do everything the easy way.
Let's not.
It's a magic pill.
Well, it's actually an injection that you take like once a week that costs almost $1,000 a month.
Yeah.
Probably not great for you if you're not obese or have diabetes, I would think.
Not a doctor?
Yeah.
I would think.
Doesn't look great.
Doesn't look great.
But yeah, apparently there's a TikTok hashtag that has over 320 million views and counting.
And some people are like bragging about their weight loss journey and hashtagging Ozempic.
Cute.
Yeah.
So, I don't know.
I will be doing that soon.
It's just like, yeah, it's, yeah.
And Kim Kardashian has never spoken about it or admitted that she's on this drug.
And we don't know for sure, but it's like she lost like 16 pounds in three weeks.
Three weeks, but she's also kept it off this whole time, which is like usually if you yin-yang like that, or sorry, yo-yo, you gain it back eventually.
You go back to your regular She was kind of the same way for many, many years, and then all of a sudden she's like lost so much weight.
And I find this to be very problematic because she alleges that she did it the right way.
She put in the way.
She put in the work, bitch.
Which is fine.
If she actually did, like, that's fine.
It's her choice.
should be allowed to do that but i think if but if you're lying about using this secret magical weight loss drug that's pretty dangerous because i mean she never lies about injections that she no No.
But it's just, she's just setting a very, very bad example yet again, yet again.
Yet again.
Are we surprised?
No, but it could, it is dangerous, though.
You know?
But it's also like, it's, like you said, it's so expensive that only the richest people can afford it.
So the rest of us out here, and that's not even us because we're comfortable in our bodies.
But like, what about young people who have trouble losing weight?
And then they're like, oh, but she can do it.
And then they think they need to literally starve themselves to death when it's like, Kim Kardashian is not starving.
She's curbing her appetite with drugs.
Yeah.
Whatever.
She's the worst.
She's the worst.
Continuing to be the worst.
Yeah.
There's another fun trend.
Yeah.
So there's this new guy, speaking of body positivity, right?
There's a new trend that you need to change your bodies up.
Yeah.
You get a slice and dice and you need to change your face completely.
I don't know how to say this word.
I think it's boop boopic.
Call?
B-U-C-C-A-L.
Anyway.
Cal fat removal is the thing.
So it's the latest trend.
Yeah.
So basically, it's like you have fat pads in your cheeks and they go in and they suck them out.
And then you look like this.
So some people that have allegedly undergone this interesting plastic surgery is Bel Hadid.
We have Leah Michelle.
We have Dove Cameron.
We have Joe Jonas' wife, Sophie Turner.
Oh, and then Lisa Rinna's daughter, is it Amelia Hamlet?
And let me tell you guys, hopefully we can post up some images of this.
They look like, first of all, like men.
They look like dudes.
And then second of all, they look old as hell.
They look old.
They look old as hell.
And it's weird.
Why are we setting trends that kind of strip women of their femininity?
Because couldn't you argue that heroin chic sort of does that as well because you're you're you're basically losing anything that jiggles.
Yeah Yeah, exactly.
So you're looking like a man.
And then we have all the baggy clothes trends and the oversized blazers and stuff, which I don't, I like that.
And then we have this new fat removal thing that basically makes everything about a woman.
It's a little bit more than you and it makes you look less feminine.
Yeah, it's very strange.
Makes your jaw look more square.
Yeah, and the problem with it is that it's actually you're not supposed to do it in your 20s because you lose fat in your face over time.
You want to have plump cheeks because as you get older.
That's a sign of youth.
Exactly.
I don't understand why anyone would want to lose.
Like, put on a little bronzer.
Yeah.
You know, it's funny because I've always, I have like a rounder face.
Oh, she's so cute.
I'm like a baby.
She's like a baby.
But now I'm like, cool, this is great.
I'm going to be young forever.
That's true.
When I was in high school, I had such a fatter face.
And as I aged, I did.
I had a huge freaking head fat face.
We'll post the fat face of it.
And as I've gotten older, I've lost a lot of the fat in my face.
Now, I did put on a little weight during pregnancy, so some of it's back.
But the point is, is like it, your face changes.
Like that said, when you're 20, you have so much more fat in your face, and it's like that's youthful.
And then as you age, it deteriorates.
So you can bet, you can bet that these girls are going to be re-injecting fat into their face into their face.
Yeah, and of course they have the money to be able to do that when this trend eventually goes out of style.
You're like fat faces back, ladies.
Get your fat injections.
Identified Victims and Transphobia00:10:50
Exactly.
And it's a lot of plastic surgeons are saying that they wouldn't do this procedure on someone who's under 25 because hello, your face is not fully really, you haven't grown into your face yet.
Like we've said this before.
My face has changed so much since my early 20s.
And now I'm like perfect and beautiful.
Like a 12 out of 10.
At least a 15.
I'm just kidding, Ellie.
But it's like you want to wait and see what happens into your adulthood.
And then if you're like super unhappy, whatever.
Yeah.
But come on, like wait.
Just grow into yourself.
Yeah.
And there's also the risk that they'll take out too much fat and then you just look gaunt AF.
But they already do.
Yeah, it's not pretty.
Makes you look like a man.
Yes.
So please don't get this.
And don't want your daughters because it's just not cute.
No, just stick to the nose job.
Speaking of cute, trans student charged after reportedly assaulting two female students in a school washroom.
So cute.
So cute.
But we were told that was just a straw man argument.
That wasn't going to happen.
No, it doesn't happen.
It's hypothetical.
It's completely hypothetical.
And it's transphobic to even talk about it.
Don't talk about it.
Unfortunately, you and I are a couple of transphobes.
Yeah, unfortunately.
Unfortunately.
I'm so scared.
I'm so irrationally scared of two men wearing wigs.
Yeah, a man beating up two women in a washroom.
So two female students have been left with injuries after reportedly being assaulted by a trans-identified male student in the women's restroom at a high school in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Yeah.
So great.
Yeah, this is great.
Another win for women.
Apparently, the trans-identified student hit this person in the face and she was unable to fight back because she's a girl.
Yeah.
So not a fair fight.
She was not able, she wasn't strong enough to fight back due to the force of the blow.
Right, because it was a big, strong man who threw her to the ground.
Yeah, that's really great.
And there are witnesses who can confirm this girl's story.
And it's interesting because in the police report, the trans person's parents arrive to pick the kid up, and the parent attempted to blame the victim for the assault, claiming that the girl has made fun of this person for being transgender.
I mean, we cannot confirm or deny that.
That's not nice, obviously.
But regardless, don't beat people up if they're mean to you.
We were all bullied when we were young.
Words are not violence, violence is violence.
Yeah, exactly.
Although, yeah, like Nat said, we don't encourage people to bully anyone.
Like, if you're uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with a trans person, that's one thing.
Yeah.
You can take it up with maybe a teacher.
You can ask for another bathroom, go to another bathroom.
Like, there are ways you can make yourself feel safe, but like bullying someone, they're going through something.
Yeah.
That teenager who's dressing like a woman, who's clearly a man, is going through something.
Leave him be.
And then, obviously, if he assaults you, then you can't.
Punch the police.
No, you're just going to wolf.
You can't because call the police.
But that's the thing.
Like, bullying is wrong, but violence is violence, not words.
So it's so true.
Yeah.
Anyway, so that's very scary.
And yet another reason to take your kids out of public school.
Okay.
I just wanted to mention because while I was on this, it's on Redux, which we love.
There was another, there was like a little article on the side and it was related.
Brazil's top female gamer is a trans-identified male now accused of sexting with a minor.
Hey, there's a lot to unpack.
So women can be professional gamers, guys, as long as they're men.
Okay.
And pedos, allegedly.
So that's really, that's really set in the bar.
Yeah.
That's a weird, that's weird.
That's a weird standard to set for the best female gamer.
Yeah.
I don't love that.
No.
It's like, we were talking, we're like, oh, we have a newfound respect for Leah Thomas now because at least she's not a pedophile.
A pedo, allegedly.
Yeah.
That we know of, allegedly.
Yeah.
Cool.
Just one thing real quick, too.
Cambridge Dictionary has redefined woman and man.
So I just like to read those.
Yes, please.
Because I want to know you're non-binary, how you feel with these definitions.
Okay.
I'm already offended.
Okay, well, just try not to.
Just chill out.
Okay, well, that's it.
Calm down.
No.
Wow.
Don't tell a private woman to calm down.
Okay, so a woman is now an adult who lives and identifies as female, though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.
By just some rando doctors.
Yeah, just some only because of like their genitals and chromosomes.
There's just some, there's no biology.
No, no.
And of course, of course, a man is an adult who lives and identifies as male, though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.
We've talked about this before, but it's only a matter of time until that now includes children because I noticed that it says the slippery adult who identifies.
But it's like, well, what about like my 13-year-old, gender-neutral, non-binary, what's it, is really old for her age, it's its age and like doesn't want to be identified as a child.
And also like, how convenient?
Because now, like, pedos and the lines are so blurred.
And you watch, I bet you, within this year, we're going to start seeing the normalization of like age, gender, like trans age.
I mean, not so, not so directly, but we'll see.
No, but we'll see it.
It'll be more explicit, I think.
Next year, you'll be a bigot if you criticize it.
Well, you already are.
Like, the whole drag queen story hour thing, like, there are arguments that, like, there are family-friendly ways of drag queens interacting with children, but drag is in itself a very sexual art form.
And, like, it's you put on fake boobs, you touch upon.
Loads of makeup, loads of makeup, you wear bloody clothes.
Exactly.
Like, there are ways for a man, for sure.
Like, have you ever seen those posters on the subway of like the like Toronto, like, I don't know, it'd be like Snow White in the Seven Dwarves, like, play?
It's like really, like, and there's like a man playing the evil witch.
Like, they'll be like, well, why is that okay?
Well, because their butt's not out.
Yeah.
Like, it's different.
There is a way for a man to dress up and entertain children as a woman that's not sexual, for sure.
But a lot of these things are sexual.
The lines get blurred.
They start.
We've seen the videos where there's children and they're like twerking and they're squeezing their fake boobs together and they're getting dollar bills put in their G-strings and it's like by toddlers.
It's obviously sexual.
Yeah.
Like we're not saying that a gay man or a trans man can't entertain children.
It's like when it becomes sexual, that's when it's no good anymore.
And we're so we're already seeing this like, but if like these blurred lines, and then if you criticize it, you're already a transphobe.
And it's like, no.
Why is protecting children bad?
Because children are nothing in our society.
it's crazy it's like we're going back to like pre-christianity yeah when women and children had no respect and we're like when they like tossed babies off a cliff yeah they had like a a hair lip or whatever But it's funny because like Christianity empowers women like, and yet Christianity is really bigoted.
And it's just so interesting that we're seeing this because now our culture has completely normalized the erasure of women and the exploitation of children.
Yeah.
I just heard just today, I didn't write it down, but Jicky Rowling is under fire again because she donated a bunch of money to a women's shelter that's only that only, like a battered women's shelter that only services biological women.
Right.
We're calling her a transphobe.
And it's like, biological women need a safe space from men.
From men.
Like if they're victims of assault or violence of any kind, they don't want to be walking in there.
It doesn't matter how that dude feels.
There's places for those people to go.
Right.
Like, what if they're a victim of rape?
They don't want to see a penis walking around.
I don't understand why, like, that person has to go everywhere.
Like, I'm not allowed everywhere.
No.
I'm not allowed to just walk into like the Argentina national soccer team change room.
That would be nice.
That would be nice.
But like, I'm not allowed in there.
There's places that some people are just not allowed in.
Well, technically, you are because you're non-binary.
Right.
But even still, it's like, I don't work for the team.
Like, I'm not a coach.
Like, there are certain.
You're very pretty, though.
I think they are.
Thank you.
I think they'd be like, yeah, you can still.
Okay, that's fine.
You're destroying my point, Nat.
Sorry.
But also complimenting me, so I don't know how to feel about it.
I don't know how to feel about it.
But the point is, there's places that not everyone can go.
And so if you're a transgender, like male to female person and you have been assaulted or battered, like that's sad.
You should have a place to go.
It doesn't necessarily need to be the same place that these women are going.
There's can be places for people.
All these people who are huffing and puffing about this, start a place for trans women or men to go to then.
Like start your own thing.
Great.
Donate money to a shelter that allows both all the people.
Right.
Or start your own.
Yeah, exactly.
But like they're, like, why does everything have to be for everyone?
It does, it's not.
It's because they're authoritarian.
Like, they are dictators.
They want us to just bend a knee to whatever they want.
Yeah, we won't.
I'm so busy.
Because I won't be able to get back up.
Yeah, she's busy having a baby.
All right, we got another one for you here.
We're going to move on to a little bit of San Joe.
Yeah.
So Scarlett Johansson claims she was groomed for bombshell roles early on.
Yes.
Yes.
And we've talked about this a little bit before, but I didn't know when she was in Lawson Translation with Bill Murray.
She was 17.
That's a minor.
Yeah.
I never saw the movie, but were they like a couple?
They have like a very intimate relationship.
I tried to look into it and it was like intimacy.
Yeah, like, because he's technically married, I think.
Anyway, they meet in, I think, Asia somewhere.
I don't know.
Anyway, I watched the movie years ago.
I didn't really like it.
But now in retrospect, I'm like, that's really disturbing, actually.
Yeah.
She looked so mature.
Yeah.
That's what she's talking about because she was sexy at a young age.
She was put in those roles.
And it's like sexualizing gross.
Like, poor kid.
Yeah, it's so weird.
And obviously, this has affected her, I think, as an actor too, because she was obviously put into this box that she couldn't get out of because she was just so curvy and pretty.
And it's interesting because men don't really get put in those same boxes, I feel like, unless they're like really ugly.
I think of her.
Unless they're like McLovin.
Well, I think I've heard, I remember reading about Johnny Depp when he was really young and because he was put in some heartthrob roles early on and he hated that.
So he made a point to be weird.
And that's why he always shows weird.
But he also had the crybaby, I think.
I think that was one of them.
And he was on that show.
Anyways.
Oh, yes.
Balenciaga and Beyond00:07:22
Okay.
And he made a point to avoid the heartthrob thing, even though he didn't really do that because I still loved him.
But he tried to get away from that and have like take on weird roles.
So I don't know if it's because he had more power than Scarlett.
Like we've both been in the acting world and we both know that if you are not willing to do something sexual or get naked or dogs.
You won't make that scene, they're like, oh, that's fine.
Because a million other girls will do it.
We're not even in LA.
This is Toronto.
Yeah.
But it was like, oh.
For free, by the way.
They asked for you to take your clothes off for free.
For free.
So you get an IRDB credit.
You're like, I don't want that.
For the experience.
Yeah.
I'm good.
Yeah.
Yeah, it is interesting.
I'm glad that she's calling it out, though, and saying the word grooming.
I think that's important because it does exist.
She's obviously a transphobe.
She's obviously, she hates pedophiles.
Yes.
Which is a good thing.
Okay.
Yeah.
Moving on.
Speaking of pedophiles.
Twitter.
So what?
Oh.
Oh.
I skipped that article.
I forgot.
You tell me.
Twitter.
Okay, so speaking.
Speaking of pedophiles, so you may recall our episode called the Balenciaga Saga where we went through the Balenciaga Gate, which is when they had the BDSM teddy bears with children posing, holding them, and a lot of other stuff.
Go back and watch the episode.
You heard it.
You heard it, probably.
But so the company that owns Balenciaga is called Carings, and they also own Gucci.
So you'd think they'd know better, but they don't because Harry Styles collaborated with the brand.
They designed like a capsule.
It was by him and Alessandro Michelle.
I don't know what it is.
It's called Gucci HaHa Ha.
Not your best writing, Harry.
But anyway, so the ad campaign was released recently, and it's Harry Styles with a teddy bear on his t-shirt, which is fine, I guess.
Although we did mention that the teddy bear is actually a symbol that pedophiles use to recognize each other.
So not sure if that was his intention at all.
Let's just avoid it as adults.
Let's avoid it as an adult.
Yeah, no teddy bears allowed.
But he is also seen holding a mattress.
He's holding it?
Yeah, he's holding a mattress.
The photo I saw was like behind him.
So there's one, there's a couple of different photos, but he's holding the mattress and it's a toddler's mattress.
It's a very tiny mattress.
And it's a little disturbing.
Yeah.
What do we think about this?
Yeah.
Well, also, the clothes are friggin hideous.
Yes.
The pants?
Yes.
They're not.
Yeah, the outfit looks.
Let's find a picture.
Yeah, but for those listening, he's wearing a pair of oversized khakis.
Super oversized, clownish, like Charlie Chaplin style.
Exactly, with a white t-shirt that has an angry pink teddy bear on it and a green plaid flannel coat.
And then like little loafers.
Yeah.
It's just a bad look for Harry.
Like, honestly, he looks better in a dress.
Yeah.
Well, I don't say that lately.
But yeah, the whole mattress thing, it's like, why?
What did we learn?
That we didn't learn.
We learned nothing.
And why are there, the article points this out.
They're like, why are there so many nods to young children in these fashion campaigns, including their beds or their stuffed animals?
Like, it's just very intimate things, too.
Yeah, it's very explicit.
It's not like a tricycle.
No, exactly.
It's like, this is where they sleep.
Yeah.
It's just, it's alarming.
It's creepy.
It's really creepy.
And especially, like you said, just after the Balenciaga thing.
Yeah, and it's owned by the same company, Gucci and Balenciaga.
So they know better.
This is obviously not a coincidence.
No, this is a good idea.
And they could have literally, if they already did the shoot, like you could easily figure out a way to Photoshop something in or just cut the ones where he's holding the mattress.
Like some of them, the mattress is in the background.
Like you can easily replace the background if you think the pants look good and you can't reach the picture.
It's such an interesting shoe.
It's really not.
Everything's so minimalist and grungy.
That's why I find it, they're obviously doing this on purpose.
Like they want people to, either they want to do this because allegedly no publicity is bad publicity, although you could argue that being called a pedophile is pretty bad.
You could argue that.
I will not buy Gucci this year.
No, me either.
And I throw all my Balenciaga, actually.
So we're the real heroes.
But anyway, it's creepy.
It's gross.
And I think.
Sorry, no.
I was just going to say, you'd think Harry would kind of maybe say, hey, this is kind of a tiny little mattress.
It's a little weird.
It's just weird.
Yeah, no, it's super weird.
And we mentioned this in the Balenciaga episode, but in a set, everything is put there on purpose.
Like, it's by design.
It's like if my coffee cup is right in the middle of this shot, you're like, oh, is that meant to be there?
Yes.
It's not just like, oh, whoops, there's a toddler mattress in the shot.
Like, ah, oh, uh-oh.
No, you put it there specifically for so that I can have a sip of coffee.
Yeah.
Coffee break, guys.
Sorry about that.
It's decaf, but yes.
Still gets me through.
Don't worry, Ryan.
And then again, there's some more disturbing news that's recently come out.
Julia Fox posts her disturbing Christmas ornament of an erect teddy bear in bondage gear.
Another thing, the teddy bear, again, and is now facing backlash amidst the Balenciaga scandal.
And it's weird.
So she posted a short video on her Instagram to show off this ornament.
It's gross.
It has a gag in its mouth.
Anyway, and so it's the most wonderful time of the year is played in the background as the camera zoomed in on the ornament and she captioned the clip, too soon, LOL.
Yeah.
That's flipping weird.
Yeah.
It is too soon.
It'll always be too soon.
Like, it'll always just be too soon.
Yeah, like, it's not like, oh, too soon, like, the Oscar slap.
Yeah.
It's like, oh, pedophilia.
Yeah.
Why is it okay?
Well, it's okay to her because she thinks men are the problem when it comes to pedophilia, not Hollywood.
So only men can be pedophiles, according to Julia Fox.
Yeah, that's like categorically false.
That's just objectively wrong.
Like you're wrong.
You're wrong.
And also, you're part of the problem now because you're making it like cool and hip and like sexy.
Like it's not sexy.
And she's approaching it as though it's lighthearted.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Exactly.
It's funny about pedophiles.
Remember this from a couple weeks ago?
Remember the exploitation of children and holding bondage teddy bears and then all the pedophilic documents?
Yes.
We do.
Yeah, we're not going to forget.
We're not going to forget it.
And now you're just like aligning yourself with that and you think it's like cute and quirky.
She's just like, the thing about Julia Fox is she, what is she doing?
She needs to stay relevant somehow.
She had to talk about why she dated Kanye and then why she like she like remember she said that she only dated Kanye to get him away from Kimberly.
That is such a BS.
She just has to stay relevant.
And like she has served some interesting looks this year.
I didn't know who she was.
I did see Uncut Gems.
Have you seen that movie?
It's so good.
Adam Sandler's best work.
Oh, my God.
He's a fine movie.
So she's in that, but she's just like a bimbo, and it's like, cool, whatever.
So that's all I ever knew her from.
And now she's like, she does like weird looks walking around here.
Have you seen her eyebrows?
Yeah, the eyebrows aren't good, Julia.
They don't look the pedophilia.
Not saying she's a pedophile.
No, she probably isn't, but it's just like, why are you lollsing?
Fauci's Alleged Government Directive00:14:53
Like, there's so many.
It's just not funny.
It's just not funny.
There's so many ornaments that are cute.
But the thing is, would any of those other ornaments get her on misunderstood?
Exactly.
No, it's true.
She's obviously doing this for attention, which is fine.
I'm okay with you pushing clickbait.
No, right.
Like, I'm okay with you posting like your clickbait and stuff.
But I have a problem when you're using the exploitation of children to get clicks.
That's kind of weird.
Why don't you just use your wit?
Or just like pop your tips out or something like a normal person.
Just wear more underwear to the grocery store.
Right, I don't know.
Date someone else.
Date Pete Davidson.
Yeah.
That's a great way to get attention.
You should do that.
Okay, do that.
Listen to us, Julia Fox, and fix your eyebrows.
That's all.
That's all from me.
Okay, let's move on to Twitter.
Okay.
Twitter.
So Twitter.
Twitter has had a crazy year, but it's not even been a year.
It's been like a couple months.
It's like May, I think.
it's been like uh yeah so So we made a little list here of just some, because obviously the Twitter files have come out and there's like so much to it.
If you want, there's the journalist, Matt Taibbi, who's on Substack.
He is the one who's exposing all this because he's getting it directly from Elon Musk.
So go to Substack, type in Matt Taibbi, and you'll find detailed stuff.
We're just going to talk about like a couple of hits from Twitter over the past couple months, weeks, whatever.
We'll start with some stuff that was in the Twitter files.
This one is that Twitter was in close contact with the FBI.
Nice.
That's weird.
That's weird.
It's weird that a private company chats.
It's like a social network.
Yeah, that's weird.
Yeah, apparently they exchanged more than 150 emails with the FBI.
And there are surprisingly a high number of requests by the FBI for Twitter to take action on election misinformation, which what is misinformation?
Nobody knows what that is.
It's just whatever you deem.
And like election misinformation, what you're talking about is politics.
Yeah.
You're saying.
So it's a politics you don't like.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
Like politics is a very subjective subject.
Yeah.
And you're just like, oh, that's election misinformation.
Like, are you saying that anyone questioning the results of the election, that's misinformation?
Like, you can't even question.
You can't even ask a question.
No, no, no, no.
You're not allowed.
No, no, no.
And they were really weird about it.
They even were worried about joke tweets from low follower accounts.
So they were watching like us.
I mean, we have like tens of millions of followers, but at the time.
At the time, it was like we were, people thought we were bots.
Yeah.
People still think we are.
Keller.
Yeah.
I am cat bot.
It's interesting.
It's interesting.
And it's weird that the FBI would be in such close contact with them and that Twitter wouldn't be like, hey, we're working with the FBI.
Like that makes it even weirder.
It's weird.
It's weird.
It's all weird.
And then Twitter also actively censored the Hunter Biden story.
Which obviously we know.
We know.
But it didn't come from the government.
It wasn't a directive from the government, which is shocking.
Yeah, so this article is talking about how Matt Taibbi said that he didn't find any connection that this came directly from Biden's team or the government, but actually Twitter internal itself, which is almost weirder.
It's very weird.
Yeah, but like people just kind of jumped to the conclusion, including Elon Musk, apparently allegedly possibly, that this was a government directive.
But it seems like it was actually the guy who we're going to talk about a little later.
What's his name?
Yoel Roth, who was the head of safety, something or other.
He was always ahead of something.
Something or other.
A head of trust and safety.
Whatever that means.
Yeah, well, he wasn't doing a very good job.
But I don't trust him and I don't feel safe.
No, I don't.
And neither should children, perhaps, allegedly.
Yeah, so Taibbi reported that both the Trump campaign and the Biden campaign reached out regularly to ask Twitter to investigate and remove posts.
But when it came to the Hunter Biden laptop story, Twitter went into overdrive, falsely categorizing the story as hacked materials early on, then locking prominent accounts that shared it, even barring the story from being shared in DMs.
That's crazy.
Like your private personal messages.
That's overboard.
Completely unsurprising, though.
Yeah, nothing's private or personal.
And Twitter had an act, like a personal vendetta against this story, which now, like, what is it, two years later?
Yeah.
Has been proven true.
Yeah.
That this was an actual verified laptop, that it did contain the pictures of Hunter Biden photos, you know, genitals and doing cookers and all that stuff.
Coke on genitals, all that fun stuff.
Merry Christmas.
It's great.
Yeah.
Nice.
So Twitter was a bad place.
Twitter's compromised.
And well, it was.
And of course, as we all know, they would silence right-wing voices through shadow banning and blacklists, despite lying about this repeatedly.
So they faced obviously accusations in the past, but then the platform denied it.
In 2018, Twitter's Vijaya Gadd, the head of legal policy and trust, and Kayvon Bakepoor, head of products, said, We do not shadow ban, they added, and we certainly don't shadow ban based on political viewpoints or ideology.
I think there's a word to describe that.
I think it's called gaslighting.
Yeah.
I think that's just a big literally like, hey, you're abusing me.
And they're like, we are not abusing you while abusing you.
It's like, we're not abusing you.
Yeah, but yeah.
That's just right-wing people feel crazy for saying, oh, like, how come my post didn't get like, obviously, it doesn't really happen at all.
You know, for people who don't know, not then, but not then, but yeah.
So famous.
But people who had largest thousands of followers all of a sudden getting like zero interaction or very limited interaction on their tweets, it's like, hmm.
And there, and there are screenshots of like the shadow banning, they'd be put on lists saying, like, do not, I don't know the words, but like promote this person's tweet or don't let this to trend on Twitter.
Exactly.
Stuff like that.
Yeah.
Really good stuff.
Really good stuff.
And then there's more to come with the Twitter files.
Yeah.
So since Elon took over, this is how the Twitter files are getting released now and then periodically.
And we're still waiting on more.
Elon Musk has teased that he has dirt on Anthony Fauci.
Who's that?
I don't know.
Some old guy who lies about AIDS and who does he like work with?
The World Health Organization?
Maybe.
I don't know.
CDC.
I don't know.
He shouldn't be.
He does a lot of work.
He does a lot of work with Beagles.
He's been in his position since 1984.
That's like 5,000 years.
Yeah.
Nobody should be in government for that long.
No.
That's called a career politician, my friend.
And nobody voted him in.
Nobody voted him in.
That sounds fair.
People who were around in the 80s will remember that Anthony Fauci also said that you could contract AIDS through, I think it was through the air.
Oh.
Like kids could get AIDS through their parents.
That's called misinformation.
Yeah, and this is kind of sort of like how things were done with COVID, allegedly, maybe, possibly.
Oh, no, no, no, you can't see that.
So Elon Musk sort of recently tweeted out that his pronouns are prosecute Fauci, which is extremely offensive to the non-binary community.
Well, that's.
They were upset.
Well, right as soon.
Your pronouns are so important.
They are so important.
They define basically your entire personality.
They are.
They literally are.
They are.
I'm dying my hair blue and cutting it all off.
Oh, you look so good.
And so people were like, half of them were upset about the pronouns.
Like, don't like endanger people who are already marginalized.
I feel like I'm in danger.
I feel very much in danger.
You should only feel like you're in danger if you're Fauci.
Okay, because shit's going to hit the fan for that man.
Yeah.
All right?
Yeah.
All right.
And we're not talking physical threats.
No.
We're not threatening Fauci.
No, no, but I mean shit's going to hit the fan when the information's released.
Well, that's hope.
That's the thing.
It's like Elon has been kind of all over the place lately.
Yes.
So does he actually have dirt on Fauci?
I hope so.
I would love to see it.
I'm sure there's some dirt.
It just needs to be dug up.
Yeah.
And there's this book that I haven't read, but it's called The Real Anthony Fauci.
It's like this thick.
Oh.
People say it's a read and it gets into some dark stuff and it's all verifiably true.
Interesting.
Yeah, so I will read that and let you guys know.
And yet he remains in his position.
Right.
So we'll see what happens with that.
But you know, Fauci, bad guy, but he's not a pedophile, allegedly.
That we know of.
Yeah.
So apparently Elon Musk tweeted about former head of trust and safety, UL Roth, being possibly connected to pedophilia, citing one of Roth's academic dissertations.
He's a gay man, Roth, and he suggested in his dissertation that gay dating apps like Grinder should adopt safety policies to accommodate teenagers who already use the apps underage as a form of harm reduction on social media.
Hmm.
And as we talked about in one of our episodes on social media, I think, what was it, like 83% of all human trafficking victims are contacted initially through social media.
So making the age limit lower on a dating site, gay or straight, probably not a good idea.
No, no, no.
Make it, yeah, you know what?
And teenagers don't need to date, okay?
They just need to do their homework.
Like, obviously, Grindr, Tinder came from Grindr, and both of them are really directed at hookups.
They're not really dating apps so much.
They're like sex apps.
So maybe not for children?
Yeah, perhaps not.
And perhaps let's not normalize dating apps for teenagers at all because they just need to focus on homework and popping their zips, okay?
That's it.
Yeah.
And so apparently after Elon Musk tweeted this out, this Yule Roth, who like we said at the beginning, was the head of trust and safety at Twitter before Elon Musk dissolved the entire department because they weren't doing a good job because there was a ton of childborn on Twitter.
Ooh, that's a good one.
A ton.
Like, that's weird.
I'm just so glad that, like, my algorithms are like.
Oh, my gosh.
I've never seen it.
I've never either.
And I'm like, oh, my God, there's childborn on Twitter, but apparently it was a huge problem.
But imagine if you come across that.
I don't know how I would want to made myself.
I would go get medical assistance in dying.
Yes.
Like, I could not, I don't want to, how do you unsee that?
And I don't understand how, like, concern, like, they had the time to go through anyone tweeting and sharing the Hunter Biden laptop story, but they couldn't deal with friggin' child pornography.
The most horrific thing in the world.
It's literally the most disgusting horror, like, like, just disgusting.
What?
Yeah.
Priorities, though.
Priorities.
So, like, this guy is in charge of safety at Twitter.
Whether he is a pedophile or not, I'm not, we're not.
No, we don't either way.
We're not accusing anyone.
He was in charge of protecting Twitter from unsafe things such as child pornography.
Didn't do that.
And then, meanwhile, had this weird dissertation about like, oh, let's lower the age for teenagers to get on.
It's a bad look.
So, anyways, since Elon Musk tweeted that out, apparently this guy, Yule Roth, has had to flee his home because he's in danger.
Now, I haven't been able to find any actual like examples of the threats that he's been getting.
If people are threatening his life, like, that's not great.
Let's not do that.
We don't encourage anyone to do that.
No, no.
Again, like.
If what he's doing is illegal, like, let's deal with that in the legal way and prosecute him.
Yeah, leave it to the government and the powers that be.
Exactly.
You know, but like.
Also, was he, or is this just like, oh no, I'm getting attacked online?
He got like one mean comment.
Yeah.
And I'm sure there are unhinged people, and I'm sure there are people saying, like, we should bash his face in or something horrible.
Like, that, yeah, I'm sure that happens.
But is that credible violence?
Because people say the horrible things to us, too.
Yeah, it's true.
We don't flee our home.
And I don't even take it seriously.
No, I'm kind of like, yeah, whatever.
No.
Literally, this girl messaged me on Instagram and she was like, I hope that you have, like, I hope the worst things ever happened to you.
Like, whoa.
It wasn't like a threat that she was caught like directing at me, but it was like she was like wishing harm on me.
And you, so, by the way.
Because, because we are unkind to trans people, therefore we deserve like death.
And it's like, okay, we've never wished death on any trans person.
Or anybody.
Or anyone.
So how are we worse?
Anyway, that's a side note.
Side note.
We'll get into that.
Don't threaten people physically and don't dox them.
But maybe this guy's being overdramatic?
Yeah, I think so.
Could be.
And then one more thing on this, and then we're going to wrap up the sure.
Our last sure before you go on, Matt Lee.
Last sure of the year.
So sad.
Anyway, Elon Musk started a Twitter poll asking if he should step down as the head of Twitter.
And he said in the same tweet, I will abide by the results of this poll.
And the voting is now closed.
It capped off at just over 17 million votes.
I'm pretty sure that's more people than voted for Justin Trudeau.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Oh, it definitely would be because Canada only has like 30 million people.
Yeah.
Well, yeah, maybe even more people than that voted at all.
Yeah, exactly.
But as of Monday, December 19th, the results were 57% yes, 43% no.
Do we know the results?
Yeah.
So it's a yes.
Yes, so he's stepping down.
Yeah.
So I think he was, the reason he conducted this survey was because there was that policy about not being able to post about other social media accounts on Twitter or something like that.
And people were like, this is not free speech.
So I guess he was receiving quite a bit of backlash from that.
I'm sure there was other things that came like that.
Also, he should be focusing on Mars.
Yeah, sure.
I mean, he seems like he's on Twitter like 24-7.
Like Ian Miles Chong levels of tweeting.
Yeah.
You know?
It's like, do you not have better, like, again, I like Elon, but, and I was excited for him to take over Twitter, but I really thought he was going to take like a hands-off approach where he just was like, welcome back, everyone.
Unless you're committing a crime, like posting child pornography or doxing someone or threatening physical violence, like legitimately, have at you.
Like, have fun, enjoy.
But he's.
He's kind of like a helicopter pair.
Yeah, kind of.
And like interacting with everybody.
And in his defense, I understand that there's a lot that he, a lot of kinks he needs to iron out within the company.
Like he, there's a lot.
Guys Thank Merch Excited00:02:58
He's not private.
Totally.
It's so true.
I'm not pro Elon.
I'm not anti-Elon.
I don't really care.
I just, it just, we talked about this offline, but it basically, we just shouldn't put our hope and trust in these people because they will disappoint you.
Elon is disappointing.
Some people.
Didolatry.
Some people are.
Exactly.
And some people are simping for him.
That's fine.
You're allowed to do that.
But maybe cool it, guys.
Like, let's let this man show us who he really is.
Yeah.
Yeah, and and maybe he can hire someone.
So that's the question: like, who is he gonna hire?
Maybe he can hire someone that's better to be the CEO of Twitter.
He's still grass and he's still gonna own it, but he's gonna be like more hands-off, which I think is a good idea.
Yeah, and maybe someone who's like more measured.
Yeah, doesn't take things as personally.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see.
I mean, the grass is not always greener, but I'm I don't know.
I'm excited to see how this plays out.
I really still stand by my initial belief that he should have just bought Twitter and deleted it.
But what would I do?
What would I do?
You have a baby coming.
Oh.
Okay.
Well, you're right.
That's a good point.
Anyway.
Anyways, I think that's the sure.
I think that's the sure.
That's the last sure of 2022, you guys.
I think we have a show coming out next week, but it'll just be, it will not be like this.
So this is our last proper episode.
Yes, this is the last proper episode.

It's going to be a little different, but we're still going to be us.
Hopefully.
Bents.
We're going to have Bants and Rants.
