DAILY | Bikers descend on Ottawa; Trump returns to social media; Musk dumps on the far-left

Andrew and Yankee Pollock preview a chaotic biker protest in Ottawa, citing past violence claims (arson, racist remarks) while questioning media credibility—like the "swastika photo" hoax—and police dismissals of protests. They mock Evan Solomon’s CTV interview for targeting Chris Sky without evidence, despite his wife being Asian, and critique Ukraine’s far-right ties, even as Trudeau and Freeland admit decades of engagement. Elon Musk’s Twitter growth contrasts Trump’s suspended account, sparking debate over censorship risks, while they condemn Biden’s "disinformation governance board" and its leader, Nita Jankovich (aka Olivia), for TikTok content and alleged data theft. Parler’s return hints at future platform battles, and Dave Portnoy’s Canada visit exposes BlogTO’s bad-faith reporting, with restaurants denying pressure. Florida’s "Don’t Say Gay" bill and climate quips wrap up amid merch plugs—Rebel News warns against government speech control, blending satire with free-speech advocacy. Protest in Ottawa 00:14:50
Good afternoon or good morning to those of you on the West Coast.
Welcome to the Rebel Daily live stream with myself, Andrew, and resident plan truster, Yankee Pollock.
How are you, Yankee?
I'm great.
I'm the president, apparently.
But yeah, it's a great morning in Florida.
It's 26 degrees for those disgusting.
And what is it on Fahrenheit?
I don't know.
My phone is on Celsius right now.
I keep switching it back.
It's about, well, it's actually real feels right now, 28.
It's just closer to 80 degrees.
Real-time weather updates, Yankee.
That's what we're all here for.
82 degrees.
82 degrees.
Okay.
But yeah, it's a beautiful morning here.
Elon Musk is tweeting again, and people are getting angry about it.
But what's our schedule?
What are we going to talk about first?
Well, the first thing we want to talk about today, and we're on Rumble, Super U, Odyssey, Getter, and of course YouTube.
And if you guys want to chat with us, you want any questions, comments, concerns, anything else you want to provide to us, website-length statements, you can send us a Rumble rant, a Super U shout, or an Odyssey hyper chat from the year 3000, and we will read them on air.
And it doesn't matter if it's loving or hateful.
I will read it.
So you go right ahead, everybody, to your desire.
But in Ottawa, they are preparing for yet another protest.
There it is.
See your message on screen, and Yankee will read it out.
I can't read.
That's true.
In Ottawa, they're having another protest.
They're bracing for it, but this time it's a biker protest, Yankee.
I'm not sure exactly what that means, other than it'll probably be people on motorcycles.
Notoriously unviolent when bikers show up to an event like this.
I can't think.
Not to say that there was violence at the last one, except for people being trampled by horses and being shot with gas canisters.
Ottawa police said it did not.
That's fair.
They're to be trusted.
Didn't we have an article saying that they threw out almost all complaints, basically saying, oh, it didn't happen.
It's not true.
Well, they had the arson story that didn't turn out to be true.
One of the things that I remembered was the claims that people threw rocks at an ambulance and said racist things to a paramedic.
I never saw proof of that.
Just like the soup kitchen having their food stolen.
I never saw any evidence of that.
Hundreds of thousands of cell phones there.
No evidence.
Yeah, the paramedic one was I have a friend that is a paramedic and that person told me, look what happened.
That person is on the other side of the oil spectrum of politics and did not support the convoy.
And they were like, look, people are throwing rocks.
I'm like, show me one video.
And they were like, I can't, but it's terrible.
Exactly.
That's what they needed it for for the fake news.
The same as with the arson.
They knew it was fake.
Which pink hair trucker did it?
No.
But they went with it anyway.
The same thing with the photos.
Alexa Lavois had a great video talking about the swastika photo and the Confederate flag.
Obviously, people were near the Confederate flag guy, and they could obviously see that he was a plant with his brand new flag with a truck sewn onto it.
Guy didn't say anything, of course.
And then the swastika from the hotel where nobody had access except for the media that was taken from like across the street where nobody else has access.
So all that wonderful government stuff happening.
But right now, we have a team in Ottawa.
We have producer Efron.
Three teams or two teams.
Three teams, I believe.
Efron, TV's Lincoln J, Isabel.
TV's Dashal Treasure David Menzies and then Quebec's favorite reporting team Alex LaVois and probably Guillaume and that team is ascending on Ottawa right now.
So we want to show a bunch of their videos that they've posted since they've been there if you want to bring those up Olivia.
The chat is saying they can't hear me.
Is it better now?
I moved my camera, my, my camera, my mic.
If it's better, let me know, because I never have issues with my Blue Yeti.
I'm here at Fine.
We're good.
Okay.
Whose video is this?
And Olivia?
All right.
So this is from last night in Ottawa.
Let's go ahead and play this.
Let's see what's going on.
That's from Alexa, I believe.
No snow.
Eerie silence in the nation's capital.
Or is that bikes I hear?
No, it's just night noises.
Yeah, I think they're supposed to come to the downtown core tonight around 6 o'clock or 7 o'clock.
I know there's an event going on.
Speaking of the event going on, Yankee, did you see this controversy where the leader of the protest was on CTV News?
Maybe you can find that video, Olivia.
And he was being questioned on whether or not Chris Sky was going to be a speaker.
And then he denounced him even though he was listed as a speaker on their website.
Did you see that?
I saw the video, but I didn't watch it.
I scrolled through Twitter.
And it was not something I watched.
I don't talk much about Chris Sky.
I don't care about him.
That's the thing, though.
They want to make it this big deal.
Nobody really cares.
If he wants to speak there, that's his right.
And they want to call him all these names that probably aren't true.
They call him a racist.
His wife is Asian.
And it's like, this is all the media has right now, is my point.
They can't really say, oh, it's going to be violent or the last one was violent on anybody's side other than the RCMP.
They can't really come up with any narrative.
So Evan Solomon of CTV, who I think is supposed to be a conservative guy, is attacking it because they want a person he doesn't like to speak.
And if it was up to me, I would say, don't take away people's rights, and then you won't have these protests happen.
So for a conservative speaker like that or personality to just be like, well, I don't have any problems, but you have a person I don't like talking.
What does that say?
It's a very mainstream media viewpoint to take, I think.
And at the same time, how about actually wait until something like something is said or somebody says something that you disagree with instead of saying, you know, I have a problem with what this person might say.
It's character assassination.
And if whoever is organizing this protest was a little bit smarter, they would have seen this coming.
I mean, you put somebody on your website as a speaker.
Obviously, you're going to be criticized for it.
The guy had no answer for it, which is kind of sad.
But I don't know, Yankee.
Did you see the video of one of the organizers yesterday yelling at people to put down their phones because their phones are the problem?
This is pretty interesting as well.
Like he was yelling, put away your phones.
You're causing the issues.
The phone is the issue, which I don't necessarily disagree.
Like phones, like people having their phones and looking at the news all day and recording everything is the problem in the world, which I don't necessarily disagree, but the way he was saying it, like, it didn't sound very stable.
So I hope everyone stays very calm and you know, I agree with protests, protesting for freedom, and I just hope that the Ottawa police doesn't.
Yeah, that's a guy, let's hear it.
I just hope the oh yeah, I fucking earned my right to say this.
People with your fucking phones, put them down.
I am not fucking done talking.
You're in the right to talk okay, you're in this.
Okay, you didn't.
What is wrong with the province?
What's wrong with this country?
You've all got fucking phones in your hands.
I'm gonna go on the side of plant here.
We need to relax.
You need to relax.
Right, from my understanding, he's one of the organizers and he does not look like unless he's government plan.
Well, he puts his uh, his medals on his biker vest here and he's wearing his beret, which is fine, I guess, but uh, I don't know much about military customs.
You're ex-military, you tell me if that is.
Uh well, you're not supposed to wear that stuff when it's not on a uniform is the rule, it's the law technique.
But uh, he's retired.
If he went to war, then I say he can do with that what he wants.
That's not my problem.
My problem is that you're yelling at people to put down their phones.
If people didn't have their phones out in the last protest, we wouldn't have seen people get trampled.
We wouldn't have seen the stuff that the mainstream media didn't want us to see.
So if he's making the point that you know people being on their phone, phones too much and reading uh, bad information is a is the problem, then of course I'm gonna probably agree with that.
But if the idea here is, put your phones away like we're some, yeah.
If the idea is put your phones away like we're some sort of Antifa sect because we don't want anybody to see what our plans are and what we're doing, I mean that's stupid and you have to understand when you are leading let's say, he is the leader, I'm not sure, or not, or if he's one of the leaders or one of the spokespeople.
You have to understand when you're leading a protest like this or speaking on behalf of a protest like this, the mainstream media is going to try to find anything they can to pick you apart, to make you look crazy, to make you look like you're attached to the alt right or whatever it might be.
So you can't just be flying off the handle saying things like freaking out, like that, and that's the problem they had with protests in the past.
That's the problem I had with a lot of the anti-lockdown groups and it's why I was right about them that they were completely unsuccessful and accomplished nothing.
And the Ottawa protest did accomplish a lot, in my opinion.
So did the Windsor protest.
But when you have but they're always looking for somebody to point out and like, this is the crazy guy yeah, need one person, you just need one.
Lamont, whatever his name is, from the line the eagle, there you go, your favorite guy.
Do we have any more videos from last night?
Yeah, he's like we should.
I don't know, I don't want to misquote him, but he wanted to crash some cars into buildings or he's being sarcastic.
He was being sarcastic, but yeah, he's like, maybe I feel like what, driving a car into the CBC, but I don't actually do that, and it's like.
Why like, even if that's not what you mean, why even give people the ammunition of that?
But then it was his other creepy stuff that really set people over the line.
Then he went away.
They don't talk about him anymore somehow.
But you still see some line flags, some basis people have them, but overall the line is gone.
It's true, you know?
I wonder why that is.
Do we have more videos from last night, Olivia?
Yeah, Alexa did like three or four videos.
I think we have a written article about it as well.
It was allowed to occupy Ottawa for three weeks.
Let's, let's hear that memories.
It was allowed to occupy Ottawa.
Profanity is like calling me a child.
Um, like stuff like that.
Just Why are you wearing a mask?
It's a real story.
It's swearing your religion.
Like, I wear Rebel Merch, right?
It is a Rebel Merchant.
They wear their mask.
It's, you know, wearing your politics.
I just love that voiceover.
It was a protest that was allowed to happen.
CTV News politics in Ottawa.
Anything else we want to talk about on this protest?
Did the trucker protest to Washington and United States ever happen?
Yeah, it happened.
We reported.
Yeah, but did they get to DC?
Yeah, of course.
It spent, I believe, a month or three weeks in DC.
Jeremy Lafredo was there for us.
But it never got national attention, really.
Like you're asking, obviously, the Messiah.
They never made it really into D.C.
They were like outside.
Maybe like five, ten trucks made it down two or three days.
They were blocked.
They were blocking the exits before they could get in.
And basically, they met a few senators.
I think it was Ted Cruz and Williams.
Right, I do remember that.
And then they just went away because basically nobody was listening.
So it didn't really work out.
Well, when Biden locked down the Capitol last year, I'd imagine they put a lot of infrastructure in place.
Very Germanic of them, I'll say, to have this whole system of shutdown in the United States.
Yeah, let's show this clip.
This is people showing that they're being directed out of DC, which I could have predicted this was going to, like, and I did.
I mean, you're never going to, when you tell them you're coming from the other side of the continent, they're going to be prepared with Capitol Police and everybody else.
But this is unique to you.
This is after Ottawa.
The world saw what happened in terms of how many angry Canadians there were.
And they came down and the Biden admin over there, the installed government, wasn't going to allow to be embarrassed like Trudeau was.
So they stopped it before it ever made it to the doorsteps.
Indeed.
And I want to get to another part of Canadian news before we get off of Canada.
We'll go into some American stuff.
I believe it was CTV News reporting last night, and I think you can find this on my Twitter feed as well, Olivia.
But CTV News talking about how Canadian forces trained the Ukrainian far-right.
Finally, it's credit.
Finally.
And I basically said: first, there was no, they didn't exist.
It was a conspiracy.
Then it was Russian propaganda blown out of proportion.
And then it was okay, but there's only a few of them.
And now we've gone full circle to, oh, yes, we've been training them for years.
And our Canadian government pretending as if they didn't know this when Justin Trudeau and Christy Freeland both separately have met with leaders of these groups, I'll say.
I'll be polite and say these groups for now because we're on YouTube.
And the idea that we didn't know about them and who they were, considering they've been around for 30 years in Ukraine.
I mean, the guy who started the party started in 1991.
Continuous Push to Support Ukraine 00:03:35
That would be the neo-Nazi party.
It's a joke that they wanted to pretend that nothing was going on.
And then everybody puts their Ukraine flags on their website.
And on their DoorDash or something, and it's Ukraine on there.
Yeah, Yankee's got a Ukraine flag draped over his bed at night.
No, no, it's Kype.
They have Ukraine flags.
Everyone has them.
There you go.
Just keep that in the middle.
Someone's going to screenshot that.
So now the government is admitting it, Yankee.
And I don't know why even conservatives went along with this.
Nobody's asking you to support Russia.
I'm certainly not.
Russia's always loved to do this thing where they try to slowly regain back territory that they used to have historically.
And it's an ongoing thing.
Ukraine's bad too.
But why, Yankee, is there this push?
Biden wants more and more billions for Ukraine.
Why is there this continuous push to keep supporting Ukraine?
What do you think is behind that?
I don't know.
So I'm not a big fan of the government of Ukraine.
And the history of Ukraine has a lot of Nazis in it.
But this, I'll just say it.
Like, look at the Second World War.
Like, my grandparents all survived the war.
We all know what Ukraine did.
It's not a, you know, but at the same time, I am not pro-Russia.
Russia has this bigger picture, like Putin.
He wants to see the USSR back.
And Putin is no good guy either.
These people saying, oh, Putin is denazifying.
He's not denazifying anything.
That is just an excuse for him to get his power.
They're both bad.
Does Russia have the right to invade a sovereign nation?
The answer is no.
So, you know, I'm pro-Ukraine in that sense, but the way the world is all over, like, Ukraine is this amazing good country that is innocent, and we don't know why Russia attacked it is, you know?
Yeah.
And it's been, I think, three months now almost of them saying, oh, this isn't a thing.
This isn't a thing.
Ukraine's wonderful.
But we've known, like, if you Google anything back to prior to this year, we know what's happened in Ukraine, whether it's Hunter Biden, whether it's the bombing in the eastern provinces, whether it's Canada training neo-Nazi paramilitary groups who are now part of the National Guard.
I just don't want people to lie.
And I don't like the idea that we've gone and like BLM'd this, where it's like you have a banner on the top of your page to help you try to sell things to make people pretend that you care or make people think that you care about something when they don't.
When a company puts support Ukraine on the top of their website, it's not I care about Ukraine.
It's let me use this thing to manipulate you emotionally so that you think that we care so that you'll use our product, which is, you know, I guess a product of the times we live in, but it's just a pattern I've seen.
And it's sad when you see people use, in this case, the death of poor Ukrainian people to be like, hey, look how good of a person I am.
And we'll just pretend.
I use Adobe.
We all do, I think.
And you open up the app and it's like there's the logo, instead of being red and white and black, I think it is, it's now Ukrainian blue and yellow.
And it's a lot of apps, a lot of, you know, we did something.
What did you do?
You did nothing.
You changed your logo.
I told you, I changed my background.
Truth Social Follower Bump 00:15:21
I did something.
I'll clap for myself.
Please clap.
Jeff Bush.
Jeb Bush moment, right?
That's the best moment ever.
It means nothing.
But, you know, everyone wants the virtue signal.
And that's the world of 2022 where, you know, I did something, you know, thoughts and prayers.
Well, I estimate now that we are about six, rebel news is usually about six months ahead of the main narrative that happens.
So we told you again first, we will continue telling you the stuff ahead of time because I mentioned on social media last night, the Canadian media, if it's not on their little Windows thing that pops up with the weather in the news or it's not emailed to them by a politician, they're not really aware of what's going on in the world.
These are people who went to college for journalism or went to university for journalism.
They only know the top three results on Google as their sources.
It's not like this brilliant crowd of people who just, you know, love writing and journalism so much.
It's people who are willing to say what they're told to say.
Sorry to say.
We can move on to your current country of residence, Yankee, of New York.
You did live in New York, but I did.
Yeah, of America, I meant.
So Elon's taken over, of course.
His tweets are, I believe, the second most liked tweet of all time was this tweet of him saying he's going to buy Coca-Cola.
Wikipedia tracks a lot of things, and I've been following that Wikipedia page.
You can't really use Wikipedia for a source, but I think for this, you could use it as a source.
It's second most liked tweet of him saying he'll buy Coca-Cola and put cocaine back.
Yeah.
What's the first one then?
Was it like Family of Chadwick Boseman?
That had the most.
His death when he died, that tweet got the most likes.
I'm not sure why.
I'm not sure why either.
Like, nothing against him.
That's just like a celebrity's death.
That guy must have affected a lot of people because that's almost double.
A lot of people were touched by his death.
I think it was a shock death.
Like, nobody knew he was sick.
Yeah.
And it shocked a lot of people.
I'm also surprised that that is the one.
I'm not into culture that much, so I don't even really know who he was, but I know he was a big actor.
Olivia, can we bring that back up?
I want to see what the other tweets, the other ones are.
I think that is a screenshot, but if you Google top most liked tweets, you should get the top 30.
Yeah, Wikipedia.
That'd just be fun to go through, I think.
So Elon's been tweeting, and his newest thing, which we'll get to in a second, is that he's saying the far left hates everyone, themselves included.
But I want to see what the most liked tweets are.
This is interesting to me.
So Elon's tweet about free speech is number seven.
Here we go.
Obama's number three.
No one is born hating another person because of the color of her skin.
See, now, that's Barack Obama in 2017.
2011 over there.
You could see the full tweet, or we'll open it on Twitter.
We can still leave it here, I think.
It says it.
2017, Barack Obama says, no one is born racist, like hating because of the color of their skin.
That is not what critical race theory teaches.
Critical race theory teaches inherent and implicit bias, which is very interesting that five years ago, Barack Obama said something different.
I was watching Timcast last night, and they were talking about how some people are actually saying Obama's right wing.
Pretty much.
I mean, if you go back and look at him in 2008, same with Hillary when she's running against him.
Hillary was against gay marriage, I believe, when she first started running for president.
And Obama was.
Yeah, and then they were also for border protection.
Now, obviously, that didn't happen, especially under Obama.
But all these things that they were saying, that Overton window has shifted now, and it's far right to say borders and, you know, you're not racist.
Elon's meme or graphic from yesterday shows how the right stayed and the left just went.
It's true.
And I also saw that there was an article written of what Elon gets wrong on this cartoon.
Somebody on the Elon Musk beat.
Watching everything he does.
His tweets have been on fire.
His tweets, honestly.
And he hasn't said really anything really controversial other than putting cocaine back into coke.
You should look up the history of Mountain Dew.
That also had some weird stuff in it.
It was basically like a coffee.
Wow.
Yesterday he had 88 million followers.
Today is 88.7.
Trump, when he got suspended, had 88.9, I believe.
So he's going to surpass the, I guess, the suspended account of Donald Trump.
What do you think is going on here?
Because I think everybody has noticed, even myself on a smaller scale, higher engagement.
A bunch of right-wing accounts got a bunch of follower bumps.
Do you think that's them Twitter engineers taking away restrictions?
Or do you think it's people being shown?
Do you think it's Twitter hiding followers?
Or do you think it's that they've started showing the accounts to more people?
Do you have any conspiracy theories on that, Yakov?
You know, even myself, I have 25,000 followers.
I gained 300 followers approximately in the last three days after my account was flat for like for a month or two.
I think since after the convoy, basically everything went flat.
And then, yes, the beginning of the week, it started going up by 300.
Now my account isn't in the millions, so 300 is a lot.
But I also noticed that my following count went up.
So there might be some things they're removing, but I also think a lot of conservatives are coming back or freedom-oriented people while liberals are leaving.
But also, they just released that they inflated Twitter's numbers, the users, a bit by a bit.
So I don't know.
But maybe it's a bit of both.
Maybe it's a bit of other things.
But also, I noticed that my follower count, my following count, so the people I follow went up by a few, and I don't follow that many people.
I mean, under 500 people, and it went up by five without me following anyone.
That suggests to me that people came back to Twitter, reactivated their account, and I followed some of these people before they went away, and now they came back.
And other people said the same.
So I don't know, but things are happening, and it's definitely due to Elon.
Is it behind the scenes, or is it a conspiracy theory, or it's simply people coming back?
I'm not sure.
Great plug for you.
Great plug.
You know, you could go to followyankee.com and you could find all my social media accounts.
Well, I should do something like that.
I have one of those contact and bio things, but if I could just direct to that, that's smart, Yankee.
I'm going to write that down.
Follow Yankee.com.
Yeah.
It's followavi.com.
You could see all his stuff.
And I was like, I'm going to do the same.
I own stopavi.com if you didn't know that.
Yeah, I know.
Everyone can go to that.
We should really stop Avi.
One thing I noticed about Twitter, besides getting a bit more natural engagement on tweets, is that I had never been able to switch to Twitter for professionals.
And that allows you to put like a job title sort of thing.
You saw it on Yankee's thing there.
It says media personality.
I was never able to do that for all.
Well, now you could apply to get verified.
You need that to get verified.
Now I'm allowed to qualify or put it as a professional account.
Just magically happened this week.
I don't know why.
Donald Trump came back to social media, but on true social.
And I want to know, Yankee, if you think Donald Trump is going to come back on Twitter or if it obviously he's got a business that is a rival to Twitter.
This is his he's posting his truth on Truth Social.
Well, we are on.
I don't know if you could see it.
We're on Truth Social, and we post there.
I haven't seen much success on Shuvitz Social for a Rebel personally.
I find it very Trumpy.
And if you're not posting Trump, Trump, Trump all day, you're not gonna.
I hear a lot of backgrounds.
Yeah, this sound coming through.
Somebody's drilling through our wall, I think.
The Chinese troops are drilling underneath Rebel News.
The Chinese troops that were on Salt Spring.
Yeah, they're on Salt Spring Island.
It's funny that we both go to that right away.
They're on Salt Spring Island on BC.
If you haven't seen the video, the funniest thing about that video, Yankee, I don't know if you ever got around to reading what it actually was.
It was literally a cult.
It was a cult.
But they ended up killing a couple people.
Allegedly killing a couple people.
They killed a couple people.
Allegedly.
But yeah, this video of Chinese troops on.
And I knew right away it was fake because it was all women in camouflage, like a uniform of camouflage that's not the Chinese camouflage that they use.
And it was like a retreat of like, find yourself, get to know your true self retreat.
And then they were connected, allegedly, of course, before the lawyers storm in here to a couple of murders.
And Sheila talked about that, and I talked about that.
And it was just hilarious.
There were articles about it.
It was weird.
But back to where were we?
We were at Trump and Truth Social.
Trump and True Social.
So I have a Truth Social account.
I don't use it.
I use for Rebel because it's very hard to switch between accounts.
So I just leave it on the Rebel one.
And also, it only works on iPhone.
And I have a special iPhone versus my regular phone that I use.
It's very complicated to use.
And it's only available in the US now.
You can't even get it in Canada.
Well, you can't use it on desktop either, which is annoying.
Everything else you can use on desktop from parlor to Getter to Mines and everything.
It's even Instagram now.
Yeah, exactly.
To be app-only as well.
And I saw that Trump himself, he has 2 million followers on True Social.
So that is probably how many users they have, give or take.
Maybe a few don't follow Trump, but overall, I would think they do.
So we'll see.
But I think it's a mistake for Trump not to come back to Twitter.
Although they might be censorious, come back and just post your mind.
They ban you again.
Just keep on pushing True Social.
Be like, hey, I'm on True Social.
If you want to see everything, if I get banned again, go here, go here.
Yeah, I think he should post his tweets as screenshots of his true social image, truth, I guess you call them.
And then only do like every third one on Twitter.
So you would get two out of the extra two out of three on his own platform.
Yeah, and maybe link, just a link, and you can see like the sum of it.
But not coming back is a mistake for Trump.
Twitter is a very important platform, and that's why we're on it.
Although we know it's censorious, you got to stay on it and try.
That being said, regardless if Trump comes back or not, he should be unsuspended, unbanned.
They like calling it a suspension, a permanent suspension, versus like, no, you're banned.
But, you know, how Facebook did it.
Facebook preserved the archives of all Trump's old stuff, which is better.
Again, I don't think he should have been banned, but at least you can see the archives and see what he posted on Facebook and even Instagram.
And that's why every few weeks someone is like, oh, look, they unbanned Trump.
It's like, no, the account is there.
He just can't post, which is still a better option than suspending the account and deleting presidential tweets for almost four years, but also his account that is probably from 2009, deleting thousands of tweets in official correspondence from the president, just going off.
Like if you want to take away his ability to tweet, but keep the account, I still think is a better option than Robot Zuckerberg is a bit smarter than maybe the people who were on Twitter's board, And he knows that if Trump or somebody who supports Trump gets back in office, there's going to be a lot of pressure on him.
This – and just, again, we're a week or less since Elon bought Twitter.
And now the Biden administration has directed the Department of Homeland Security, which, of course, was born out of – It's true.
Yeah.
What's the real name of it, though?
I don't know.
Ministry of Truth.
The Don't Say Gay Bill has a real name.
Ministry of Truth is a real name.
But it's a part of the Department of Homeland Security, which of course was born out of the Bush era and wonderful things like TSA that we all know and love.
If we're from the United States, where they check your shoes and your cavities and such.
But Department of Homeland Security, which of course is to protect the homeland, which is America, has now a section of it that will try to stamp out misinformation.
They claim it's for things like child trafficking, which we know Democrats are strongly against, and human trafficking and the border and all these other things that the Democrats are so strongly against, as we all know and love.
But here it is.
So Ministry of Truth is still trending, number three on Twitter.
It's portrayed in Georgia always.
George, always disinformation.
So the Biden administration will create a disinformation governance board within the Department of Homeland Security dedicated to, yeah, misinformation.
Yeah, so whenever the government...
It's similar to what Trudeau is doing, though.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So no matter what side of the political aisle you're on, you should be able to recognize that somebody in the government deciding what is good information and what is bad information and punishing you for it is not a good idea.
So the leader of it is a young woman who, and when I say young, she's in her early 30s.
Government Deciding Truth? 00:04:20
I didn't develop just a lisp there out of nowhere.
She's in her early 30s.
And she's written books about how to be a woman online and how to combat online hate against women and do all these things and how to fight back online.
Olivia knows what I'm talking about, fighting back as a woman online.
She does it every single day.
She's throwing punches at me right now.
And this is the woman who's now deciding what is truth and what is not on the internet.
Let's play her amazing TikToks.
Information laundering is really quite ferocious.
It's when a huckster takes some lies and makes them sound precocious by saying them in Congress or unreaching.
Disinformation's origins are slightly half atrocious.
It's how you hide a little idled lie.
It's how you hide a little idle lie.
It's how you hide a little idle lie.
This is literally turning my back on this.
This is a torture.
What movie is that where they turn their back on people?
They did that at Joe Biden's inauguration.
But that's from a movie where people turn their back on somebody.
I need to find out.
I don't know.
At the inauguration parade, they did that.
The military.
Yes, it's true.
Movie reference.
Don't fact-check me.
I think that's what happened.
Was it a year and a half ago?
I don't remember anymore.
I don't remember.
But it's from a movie where they just start turning their backs on the leader.
Damn, I wish I remember that.
I'm usually good for that.
Put our crack producing.
Take all Rebel News resources right now and pool them together to find out which movies where they start turning their back on the leader.
And he starts freaking out.
I forget what it is.
But that's the woman, Nita Jankovich, is her name.
I believe that's an Austrian name, if I'm an Austrian-Polish name, if I'm not mistaken.
And now, yeah, this woman who thinks it's a great idea to do TikToks of her singing in a British accent is going to be deciding what's the misinformation.
It's a good thing, though, that the person in charge of this is big onto the Chinese app that steals your information, steals your keystrokes.
So it's a very good sign that she's using that and will now be deciding what's good and bad on the internet.
She can't even decide for herself what, like, are we going to have a government TikTok where the government of China just all of a sudden is able to track what's going on in the White House?
Because that's where she's going to be.
She's going to be invited to the White House as this great woman, another woman in power who's fighting back again.
Yankee thoughts on the Ministry of Truth.
You know, it's no good.
It needs to go.
You know, free speech is.
What was Elon's tweet about it?
You know, allowing your haters to speak.
Yeah, exactly.
He said, it's a twin pin tweet, I believe.
There you go.
By free speech, I simply mean what matches the law.
I'm against censorship that goes for, that goes far beyond the law.
If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect.
Therefore, going beyond that, the law is contrary to the will of the people.
So this is the issue.
Instead of so, he says they will vote for it.
Nobody voted for it.
They just do it anyway.
And they're going to take away your free speech.
So, you know, and Elon is right.
Like, Twitter, what is Twitter, any company going to do?
Look at Gab.
I'm not in Gab, not a big fan of it.
But their policy.
I'm a fan of their policies, not of the people on there necessarily, of all of them.
And their policy is First Amendment.
Whatever is allowed by law, you could do.
But that is not good enough for the App Store.
The App Store and the Google Play Stores, they will not allow you on.
And that was, well, they claimed that was Parler's issue.
It wasn't.
They just had to kill Parlor because it was doing amazingly well.
Now it's dead.
They killed Parler.
After a month of not being online, I think it was closer to two months.
They, how's it called?
Parler's Fall 00:03:47
They came back.
And, you know, I believe that they're on the App Store now, but still not on Google.
Might be wrong.
But they came back and they were just dead.
The hype was out.
They were doing amazing.
They killed it.
They had to kill it.
So it seems like Elon decided instead of making a new one, he'll just take over an old one, which would be way harder to kill.
But we'll see what happens.
I hope they don't kill Twitter because it's a great place to create a firestorm.
Let's put it that way.
Firestorm starring Yakov Pollock in theaters this Wednesday.
We want to throw to a Rebel News store for a moment.
We'll give Yankee a moment to fix his hair or something.
And we want to promote this because Rebel News store is always pushing more stuff.
And we don't get around to it as often as we'd like whenever I'm on.
So we're making sure that we get a good ad in here.
You can use promo code Andrew10 if you want.
I don't know if Yankee has one, but nothing makes me happy.
I made it myself.
Nothing makes me happier than you buying things with my name.
I believe it's Mom25 to get the second one free.
Okay.
For Thursday?
All right, let's just watch the ad.
Maybe it tells us.
I think so.
Somebody who's the salt of the earth.
Your teacher, your friend.
Mothers look after their children and they fight for their rights.
Even if it doesn't affect them, we're fighting for our kids' rights.
Lioness, don't mess with them.
My mother means almost everything to me.
She's 91.
She's been there for me all my life.
She's implanted Christian values.
She's never changed, and she's a rock in our life.
My favorite person in the world.
Everything she did for us was because she loved us so dearly, never gave up on us.
She's my mother so much.
My mother has passed away, but she has been a guiding light in my life still.
I talk with her.
I feel that she's impacted a lot of truth and faith.
And she always taught me to remember that I'm a child of the king.
Anything that she could do to help or support, she did it.
And she's gone now, but I will love her forever.
Despite whatever may get in her way, she'll be there for you.
A mother is unconditional love.
And this is my mom.
Oh, and I love her to death.
Thank you, thank you.
And this is my mother.
So if you agree with us that mothers deserve to be celebrated this Mother's Day and every other day, head to RebelNewsStore.com.
Check out our new exclusive line just for the Rebel Mom in Your Life.
and use coupon code MUMF25 to save for grandma and mother all together.
Olivia's crying back there.
I can see it.
She's shedding six to eight tears right now.
Rebelnewstore.com, everybody, if you want to buy some merchandise, we have the trucker merch, which is topical again, Yakov.
And we've got so much other stuff.
We've got getting points from Natasha Biase, who is missed, her name was misspelled as Watasha the other day.
And she's telling me to talk about misunderstood merchandise.
Should we throw it up?
We'll throw it up for a Yankee.
Misunderstood Merchandise 00:03:40
I know you have a shirt from them, don't you?
How many shirts did you buy?
I have a lot of Rebel merch.
I'm wearing one.
I probably have about closer to 20 Rebel shirts.
You've beaten me.
I think I have probably about 10 Rebel shirts.
The Back to the Future one is my favorite one.
We're looking for the misunderstood merch is what we're looking for.
Probably 15, 15, 15 shirts.
Well, I look forward to your Instagram video of you modeling all your shirts.
No.
One of those reels where you snap and you're in a different outfit and you're turning.
Which outfit should I wear today?
I have, well, I have five Rebel hats.
So I probably have 20 pieces of Rebel merch.
We'll get all that on the version of Cribs, Rebel version of Cribs.
There's the Assume My Gender shirt.
The one I like there besides Assume My Gender is just the definition of a woman.
Imagine how much you would trigger people just by wearing any of this merchandise.
It's pretty funny.
If you want to trigger someone with facts, as Ben Shier says, facts don't care about your feelings, you wear that one.
On the same beat of misinformation, we have a CBC, which obviously is trustworthy.
Expert tells MPs, an expert tells MPs that one and a quarter of Canadians believe in online conspiracy theories.
The far right has evolved.
David Morin at the Université spies on you.
So random guy.
That's right.
This is always what it is.
And they have one from Durham College, where I'm from in Oshawa, where they have a woman they go to all the time who talks about conspiracy theories and the alt-right and the far right.
And they talk about this all the time so they get one person to tell people about it because they're an expert, Yankee.
You can trust them.
They're the Fauci of online hate.
Let's bring this article back up and we'll read it a bit more to see how insane it is.
David Morin, professor at the University of Sherbrooke.
I don't consent to your Frenchness, even though I am French.
He said a poll conducted for an upcoming report.
He is preparing and found that 9% to 10% of Canadians strongly believe in conspiracy theories, while another 15% moderately believe in them.
He told members of the public safety, this is a thing.
He's made his own poll.
He's telling it to the members of the public and national security committee so that they can, what?
So that they can make legislation based on whatever garbage they found.
They have a sympathy towards violence.
Of course they do.
The poll run by a ledger marketing firm was conducted online from May 19th to June 6th, but 4,500 responded.
So what's 10% of that?
45 people, 450 people.
Comparable margin of error probability would be 1.5 percentage points.
So 450 people said they somewhat believe or moderately believe in online conspiracy theories.
And, you know, Sam.
That's exactly it.
Everything was a conspiracy theory until, well, it wasn't.
Right.
We're on YouTube.
I won't go into detail, but you all know what it is.
You know, you question the narrative and then the narrative becomes, you know, BC, BC's Department of Health, whatever they're called, tweeted the other day, I think it was April 15, they tweeted that kids should get vaccinated to reduce their risks of getting, not getting COVID, but getting severe COVID.
Dave Portnoy Receipts Controversy 00:14:50
And I looked at it.
I'm like, huh?
How many kids do you know they got severe COVID?
But they're advertising officially the vaccine now as something that reduces severity.
If you said that a year ago, like if I said this on YouTube a year ago, I would probably be zapped.
I'm still not saying it.
I'm saying that the BC Health Department is saying that.
I'm not saying that even.
And Joe Biden is the greatest president of all time.
Well, we're on the subject, who got 88 trillion votes.
Do you remember what Biden said in his he did?
Because it's at the beginning of a Bryson Gray song.
And again, this is the president, the most popular president of all time with the most votes of all who said, as Joe Biden quoted, the president himself, I can't be more clear.
He said, if you take the vaccine, you're not going to get sick.
That's what he said.
Was that misinformation, Yankee?
No.
Snopes did a thing about it, and they said, no.
He's mostly amazing.
He meant something else.
He didn't mean what he said.
I'd like to see this.
Yeah, go ahead.
You know, during the beginning of the Ukraine war, like he kept saying, oh, when you'll go to Ukraine, you will see in his policy, he kept saying stuff, and the White House had to keep backtracking everything he said.
No, no, he didn't mean this.
We meant Poland.
He meant you'll go to Poland and see the war in Ukraine somehow.
Another thing about Poland that I didn't get to on Wednesday with you with Lewis, I was going to say with Ukraine, but it's with Ukraine, talking to Lewis, is that Poland says that Russia is now blackmailing them for their energy.
And the story there was that even though Poland said they would provide jets to the Ukraine to fight Russia, Ukraine is now complaining that Russia is withholding energy from them.
And it's like, this is the type of stuff that I don't understand.
You keep pushing this stuff, and you're just like, why doesn't Russia love us anymore?
Yeah.
You could disagree with the war, but if I'm at war with someone and you help my enemy, yeah, of course I will retaliate against you somehow.
And I'm not saying the war is right.
It's just, it makes sense.
It's like you're expecting Russia to be, if you're expecting Russia to hate itself and side with you because of social justice, accuses Russia of blackmail after shutting off natural gas from Poland and Bulgaria.
What they won't tell you in this article, or maybe they will, put CtrlF or Command-F jets and see if that's in the article.
Yeah, no mention of fighters.
I think what happened is it got leaked and they got and Russia warned them not to.
So they don't see that's what I understood happened.
I might be wrong, but yeah, it's it's a lovely time to be alive, Yankee.
And I think the last thing we want to get to here is back on our side of the border.
And thank you, everybody, Rebel News, for supporting this and getting this out there.
Is Blog TO going after Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, of course?
Now, of course, I'm a fan of Barstool and of Dave, but this wouldn't be such an interesting story for me to go and cover if it wasn't what I call let's ruin their life journalism.
So we're fresh off of Taylor Lorenz Yankee, which I know you're very familiar with that story, Ian Miles Chauncey.
She's 49.
She's 49 years old?
I don't know.
Is she 35?
We don't know.
That's funny.
So she, of course, complained that people were ruining her life, emailing her threats and everything, and you should never go to somebody's house.
And then she went and did that when they're trying to find the Libs of TikTok person who had to go then into hiding.
We'll call it basically a place where no one would find them.
Shout out Libs of TikTok, of course.
So that happened not two weeks ago.
What happens now is Dave Portnoy announces he's coming to Canada to watch baseball games and eat pizza.
Heaven forbid.
So this writer, Amy, from Blog TO, decided, you know, what every restaurant that said that they want Dave Portnoy to come try their pizza, I'm going to message them or email them the same thing, copy and paste, because that's how hardworking they are.
Have you heard of his allegations?
And of course, his allegations are somebody from Business Insider tried to ruin Dave Portnoy's life by reaching out to any woman who's ever spoken to him or mentioned his name, basically trying to make him look like a sex offender.
Turns out Dave Portnoy had receipts.
Some things were exaggerated.
Some people were taking out of context.
Nothing legally came of it besides maybe litigation between Business Insider and Dave Portnoy.
I digress.
That's what happens to you for interviewing Donald Trump.
Exactly.
That's where they came after.
So Dave Portnoy decides to come to Canada, and we can show this now, Olivia, please.
Let's start by showing the message she sent to everybody.
Hi, Amy here from Blog TO.
And yeah, click on one of these.
Hi, hope you're well, Amy from Blog TO.
Just reaching out.
saw you on Dave Portnoy's post offering him pizza.
I'm writing a post about the visit and would like to get a comment from you on whether or not you're a fan of his if you know about the allegations against him and if they affect your desire for him to visit your restaurant.
And then the people we spoke to, she sends links to about these claims from Business Insider.
There's another one showing that they're copying and pasting it.
She can't even send it from her own thing, of course.
So they're obviously, I'll just say allegedly, she's trying to bring to people's attention the claims against him from Business Insider.
And then she went and wrote this article saying this restaurant changed their mind after we talked to them.
This restaurant changed their mind.
Well, it turned out, dearest Yakov, that a bunch of them didn't actually say the stuff that she claimed.
One of the owners took a picture with Dave Portnoy.
Another one posted an Instagram story that they disagreed with it.
And then the people that we interviewed at Aristorante Di Rosina, I'm surprised I remembered that, said we didn't say this.
They obviously made it seem as if we were against him coming.
We never actually said that.
Let's just play the short clip that we have there.
Hey guys, Andrew here from Rebel News.
We're at Restorante Di Rosino.
They were one of the restaurants named and shamed, frankly, by Blog TO in the article regarding Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports being here in Toronto to just try out pizza and watch baseball games, frankly.
They said they messaged them and that they changed their mind.
We're going to go inside and ask if that's actually true.
We're going to see if they want to speak to us at all.
Wish us luck.
We're here at Ristorante Rosina with Giovanni and Anthony, the owner and the manager.
And we're reaching out to you to find out what exactly BlogTO said to you when they reached out to you guys and what your response is and if they misrepresented it at all.
So basically we messaged Dave first on his Instagram when he posted about coming to Toronto.
We'd love to have him here.
And then shortly after that, Blog TO saw our comments and then reached out to us about these allegations against him.
Then we became aware of them, but at the end of the day, we never denied him entry.
BlogTio later came out with an article which made us seem like we were denying him entry, which is never the case.
We don't deny anybody entry here at the restaurant.
All pizza pasta enthusiasts are allowed at our place.
We have our doors open for everybody.
Allegations are one thing for sure, but at the end of the day, we don't want our name to go out there in a bad name like that, right?
Giovanni, this is the second restaurant.
You guys and another one saying that Blog TO misrepresented what you guys said to them.
Did they reach out to you again if they apologized or anything like that?
Yeah, they just reached out to us this morning, said they apologize, and they are willing to hear from us.
But at this point, we write Anthony, we don't feel like replying because they come out with fake news and it could really hurt the restaurant.
We really work hard.
So here's the thing, Yankee.
These guys are smart.
They recognize the language this woman was using, sending them links.
She said, fake news.
We're not replying.
Read that these articles, that they're just allegations and nothing's been proven.
Obviously, they're a fan of Portnoy a little bit, and they read what he said, and they said, listen, allegations are one thing.
We still want him to come here.
It's great for business.
He gave the restaurant north of Brooklyn an 8.4, which is very high, which is going to drive business to the restaurant.
The problem here is, Yankee, that we have a woman from Blog TO who thinks she's doing a good thing by trying to ruin somebody's life and smear them as some sort of sex offender to other restaurants.
Just based on the fact that she's read something and she thinks this is a great idea, she should engage it.
She's going to change people's minds.
Listen, Amy, from Blog TO, you're not doing the right thing.
There's a voice inside you that's telling you that this is wrong when you message people and do this.
Listen to this voice.
It's not that difficult to know right from wrong.
When you're trying to engage in ruining people's lives, and then you're so cowardly that you just take your name off the article, you won't respond to any claims.
Nobody from your organization will go on Dave Portnoy's show, which will, if you're telling the truth and doing a good thing, it will monumentally increase your reach from Barstool's social media and website and podcasts.
But you know you're doing the wrong thing, so you've gone into hiding, you've taken your name off of things, you won't respond to anybody.
And this is what happens when you do the wrong thing.
People will now tell you that you're being a bad person.
And this is what it's all about.
Nobody wants for you to be harassed.
Nobody wants for you to be, you know, have death threats sent.
That's all bad too.
But the reason why people are saying you're a bad person is because you're engaging in this journalism that nobody respects.
Journalism.
But yeah, I agree.
I believe we reached out and no answer from them either.
This is crazy.
You know, they're hiding.
And as a guy said, they're fake news.
We don't want to respond to them.
They're bad faith.
And they only reached out after these articles.
After the article was published, they say, oh, is there something that you didn't agree with?
And then they say, oh, we'll bring this to the attention of our publisher.
Article didn't get changed.
So that's the people you want to be.
Now everybody sees it.
Blah.
T.O. steals people's videos anyways, quote unquote, allegedly.
So we'll leave it at that.
Do we have any super nice paid chats for dearest Yakov?
I think we have a few.
All right, let's throw them up.
I didn't read them, but I saw them on the other screen.
You go first, Yankee.
It's for you.
Yankee, I can't read.
I am here for being in the free state.
In a free state.
I wish I was a dual citizen.
Yeah, well, I am.
It's pure blood.
I can't travel with a plane train.
If I won a big lottery, I would leave Canada and live in a free country.
Well, I would say the U.S. isn't necessarily free.
Florida is, though.
There's a select few states, right?
Select few states.
And look, you don't need to wear a mask while flying now in the States, thanks to a Florida federal judge.
So good things happen in Florida.
Even the crocodiles here are nice.
And you don't have basements either.
That's true, right?
Too much.
We do not have basements or underground transit.
It's a swamp.
You can't really do that here.
It's because of climate change, Yankee.
One more, I think.
Yeah, it's climate change.
Becca Henderson says, how's my favorite state doing?
Have you gotten arrested for saying the word gay yet?
Can't wait to come to Florida and test out saying gay.
This is an edge lord, Becca Henderson.
I know, Becca, but I will not say that word while I'm in Florida because I think Ron Sanders will send the, can I say, I'll say it, the gay police on me?
I think they're coming.
I'm watching my camera here.
I think they're coming.
But I was in New York City over the weekend last week.
This week?
It's Thursday.
I was there over last weekend.
And I tweeted now that I'm in.
I don't remember the exact wording, but I basically said now that I'm in New York City, I could say the word gay finally.
And people didn't get the sarcasm and they were going off in the replies.
Well, that's what some people believe.
That's what the bill actually is, that you can't mention being gay, which is, of course, insanity.
That it, young Olivia?
Okay, I think we're done here today.
Just not that interesting.
Okay, there's not enough.
We can't talk about guns on YouTube or else we would have got a lot more super chats.
Talk about guns, but we could pull up that story about the sheriff in Florida saying, Good for whoever shot the intruder and don't be afraid.
You did a good thing.
And I could say, don't break into my house.
I'll leave it at that.
I would like to see a Yankee Pollock 30-part music video like R. Kelly of Trapped in the Closet, except it's with guns.
And I'm going to have to play that out somewhere.
Yankee, if you've never heard of that or seen that, you know, the singer R. Kelly peed on a child.
He's got a 30-something part.
I don't want to say it.
Didn't he like marry an underage girl or something?
I don't know about that.
He's in jail.
Yeah, it's him who you're thinking of.
I don't know his exact crimes he's been convicted of, but he's in jail.
He's got a 30-year-old.
I don't want to call him names he's not because I'm not sure, but I think there's not nice things to say about him.
My point is, Yankee, you need to watch his music videos called Trapped in the Closet.
It's like 30 parts.
You will laugh your head off.
