Ezra Levant exposes Toronto Mayor John Tory’s $10M Florida lockdown home, where police and riot horses crushed protests like Adam Skelly’s barbecues while Trudeau’s travel bans force Canadians into costly "COVID jails" (up to $2K) until April 30, 2021—even for healthy, tested arrivals. Rebel News spent two months tracking politicians with drones, confirming a $10K case at Tory’s property, and contrasts this with exemptions for temporary foreign workers from Mexico and the Caribbean, allowed to quarantine on farms or via chartered flights. Legal aid (airports@rebelnews.com) and protests like Quebec’s hockey moms highlight systemic hypocrisy, framing these policies as a violation of civil liberties and Charter rights that deepens public distrust in pandemic governance. Hello Rebels, you're listening to a free audio-only recording of Ezra Levant's nightly Ezra Levant show and you'll recognize my voice as definitely not belonging to Ezra Levant but rather belonging to me.
Sheila Gunread, I'm filling in for the big man in the big chair tonight.
Now, my guest tonight is Ezra.
He's checking in on me and I'm checking in on him as he discusses his latest project to fire Toronto's authoritarian mayor, John Torrey.
You can see all the details at firetory.com and sign the petition.
Ezra's pretty sure he's caught John Torrey or a member of his family or extended family or one of John Torrey's friends using his Florida vacation home while John Torrey has locked all of Toronto down and we've got video footage to back up our claims.
And I'm discussing in the monologue how Justin Trudeau is stranding thousands of Canadian snowbirds in Mexico while at the same time chartering flights to bring in Mexican foreign nationals as essential farm workers who are not subject to the same quarantine measures as the rest of us.

Travel Bans and Quarantine Jails00:14:08
Justin Trudeau is whisking away Canadian citizens to his special COVID jails, all while chartering planes to bring in foreign nationals.
Then the big boss man, Ezra Levant, joins us to explain to you why I'm standing here hosting his show.
It's February 2nd, 2021.
I am not Ezra Levant.
I'm Sheila Gunread, but you're watching the Ezra Levant show.
Why should others go to jail when you're the biggest carbon consumer I know?
There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
The only thing I have to say is government house is because it's my bloody right to do so.
Have you seen Justin Trudeau's brand new travel restrictions on Canadian citizens?
Now, here's the pronouncement from the other day from the Government of Canada website.
The government of Canada announced new rules on international travel.
In addition to the multi-layered approach on COVID-19 already in place, the government and Canada's airlines have agreed to suspend all flights to and from Mexico and Caribbean countries until April 30th, 2021.
This will be in effect as of January 31st, 2021.
The new restrictions will include scheduled commercial passenger flights arriving from the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, which were exempted from the previous restrictions.
Private business and charter flights from all countries will also be required to land at the four airports that are still taking international flights.
Flights from Saint-Pierre et Miquelon and cargo-only flights will remain exempt.
As soon as possible in the coming weeks, all air travelers arriving in Canada with very limited exceptions must reserve a room in a government of Canada-approved hotel for three nights at their own cost and take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival at their own cost.
More details will be available in the coming days.
You know, those details haven't really come though.
And they're going to hire mercenaries to make sure that you don't get away from their COVID camps.
Look at this.
To ensure travelers' awareness, that's a neat word, and compliance with quarantine requirements, the Public Health Agency of Canada is working with security companies to help complete compliance checks for travelers arriving in Canada.
Employees of these companies were trained by the Public Health Agency of Canada and authorized as screening officers under the Quarantine Act.
These screening officers will visit travelers' quarantine locations to establish contact, confirm identity, and confirm that travelers are at the place of quarantine they identified upon arrival into Canada.
These new officers will conduct visits in 35 cities across the country, starting in Montreal and Toronto.
Now, this also applies to people who drive into the country, with of course the exception of truckers who are keeping our economy going.
The government of Canada will introduce a 72-hour pre-arrival screening test requirement, a molecular test, for travelers seeking entry in land mode with limited exceptions, such as for commercial truckers.
In addition, we continue to collaborate with partners in the United States to strengthen our border measures and keep our country safe, except, of course, at Wroxham Road, right?
Now, I'm still waiting for the legions of mainstream media hacks and progressive politicians who were so outraged at Donald Trump's travel ban of non-citizens from a series of failed states where the identities of the travelers could not be verified.
Those people are not raising their voices right now about what is, in effect, a travel ban on Canadian citizens trying to repatriate themselves if these Canadian citizens don't have the two grand to pay to quarantine upon entry to their very own country in a government-approved facility.
I mean, Justin Trudeau, he was the guy who triggered an illegal immigration crisis by preening about how everybody was welcome here in Canada in that one stupid tweet.
But now, as it turns out, Canadians, well, they're not really welcome in Canada now.
However, at Rebel News, we're trying to help.
Just take a look at this new video from my friend and colleague, Kian Bexte.
And please, if you know a traveler or if you are a traveler, write down the email address that he mentions at the end.
Someone you know or you could need it.
Take a look.
A crisis in Canada is imminent.
If you or any of your friends or your family are flying back to this country, to Canada, from any international destination, you need to be aware of what is going to happen to you.
You need to know your rights and you need to understand this very clearly.
It is important.
With almost no notice, Justin Trudeau announced that everyone, everyone, will be required to stay in mandatory quarantine hotels at a cost of thousands of dollars to you.
You cannot go home.
You cannot be picked up by friends or by family.
You must go to these Liberal Party-approved detention facilities and pay a $2,000 cost for three nights and longer if you actually test positive or if the Liberal Party of Canada tells you you're positive.
It's starting to happen already.
and it will continue to happen.
It will get worse.
It's ironic, isn't it?
When Donald Trump banned foreign citizens from the United States from a number of terrorist-infested countries, there was an international response, outcry, including from Canada.
That sudden announcement left travelers in limbo at airports.
We saw social justice lawyers going to those very airports trying to help foreign travelers.
We could sure use that kind of help right now here in Canada, but it's not coming from them at least when it's not even foreign visitors that are being restricted, keep in mind, coming to Canada.
It is Canadian citizens.
The Prime Minister of Canada, without any notice to Parliament, let alone a debate or a vote, has literally banned people from coming back to their home country.
And effectively, he sentenced them to a form of jail.
He's treating healthy people like sick people.
He's treating innocent people like guilty people.
It really is coming true.
He has set up COVID jails and he's staffing them with private security firms, including the notorious G4S.
Have you heard of them?
They're a private mercenary firm with a shocking, shocking international track record of human rights violations.
Google it.
Now, this isn't just if you take the wrong test or if your test expired in the middle of your flight back to Calgary or Toronto or Vancouver or Montreal, the only approved airports right now.
Justin Trudeau is going to be taking everyone, everyone at the airport to a COVID jail, even if you're not sick and even if you pass a test.
How is this lawful?
How is this constitutional?
This is a crisis.
Where is Amnesty International or the Canadian Civil Liberties Association for that matter?
Where are the law professors singing mass denunciations of the government?
Of course, they don't care because this is Liberal Party oppression.
It's approved by the elite.
Rebel News, on the other hand, we're going to take the lead on this.
We've hired a superstar team of lawyers.
We've already dispatched them in one case in Calgary, and we will continue doing just that.
If you are returning to Canada, if you've been taken by Justin Trudeau, please reach out to us.
The email is airports at rebelnews.com.
We want to help you.
We need to help you because nobody else is coming to your aid.
Your government will not help you.
The so-called opposition is silent.
The Conservative Party of Canada, where are they?
This is a crisis of epic proportions, a massive violation of your civil liberties and your charter rights.
You have a right to return to this country.
It's written in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
You have that right without your prime minister using a Blackwater-style firm to lock you up.
When you land, they're going to escort you to a Liberal Party-approved holding cell at a secure government-occupied hotel complex.
It is that serious.
Reach out to us at airports at rebelnews.com if you're coming back now.
And if you want to help your fellow Canadians get back to their home without Justin Trudeau getting his dirty hands on them, throwing them in COVID jails for no reason, please go to nocovidjails.com.
There you can see all of the coverage we are doing on this file, all the work we're doing to help Canadians, all of the lawyers we've hired and retained in different cities across this country to protect our fellow countrymen and women from Justin Trudeau, to protect them from their own prime minister.
We didn't think it would come to this, but it has.
The times we are living in are crazy ones, but we need your help to do what must be done to protect our fellow citizens.
Go to nocovidjails.com.
Oh, but friends, it gets even worse, so much worse.
Because while Justin Trudeau is hiring COVID security mercenaries to shuffle your snowbird, Baba Nguido off to a quarantine jail at their own expense, he's got exemptions for other travelers, not just truckers.
Take a look at this.
It's actually in the Western producer of all places.
New travel restrictions imposed on Canadians by the federal government won't impact the arrival of temporary or seasonal foreign workers, according to sources.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced January 29th that Canada's air carriers had agreed to suspend services to sunny destinations.
Flights to tropical locations like Mexico are being canceled by Air Canada, WestJet, Sunwing, and Air Transat until the end of April.
People from Mexico, though, and Caribbean nations make up a substantial amount of Canada's temporary foreign workers.
Look at this.
Those with negative test results will then be able to quarantine at home under significantly increased surveillance and enforcement, said Trudeau.
Those with positive tests will be immediately required to quarantine in designated government facilities to make sure that they're not carrying variants of potential concern.
Federal officials quelled any fears the restrictions would prevent foreign workers, though, from arriving in Canada.
According to sources, temporary or seasonal foreign workers aren't being subjected to the same quarantine orders, the same quarantine orders as Canadian citizens.
Look at this.
Workers are deemed essential by the federal government and won't be required to quarantine at an approved hotel as they await test results.
Instead, they'll be able to wait out their 14-day quarantine on farm.
Hang on for a second here.
So Canadian nationals flying home from their winter escape in Mexico have to mandatory quarantine in an expensive hotel because Justin Trudeau said so, but he's making special exceptions for Mexican foreign workers.
So grandma and grandpa can't quarantine for 14 days on their own farm that they own after coming back from Mexico.
But Mexican foreign workers can quarantine on the farm that they don't own but they're working at?
This is absolutely outrageous.
And as though, as though this couldn't get worse, it still is because the Liberals are in charge.
Because Justin Trudeau is forcing grandma and grandpa to pay for a hotel to quarantine.
But the government, they're looking at chartering planes to bring in temporary foreign workers because they canceled all the flights.
Look at this.
According to sources, federal officials are also trying to find ways of ensuring the arrival of workers despite flights being suspended.
Chartered flights are being considered and indeed already used often to bring in seasonal workers.
But the federal government is also working to ensure foreign airlines carrying foreign workers can land in Canada.
So Canadian Airlines, sorry, give me a break.
And all the while, Alberta maintains the second highest unemployment rate in this country, second only to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Liberals and their priorities.
Stay with us.
More up next after the break.
Ezra Levant joins us to give us an update on the special projects he's been working on.
You know how the old saying goes, if the Liberals didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all.
Which brings me to introducing the boss to you right now.
Joining me now is the boss man, Ezra Levant, and he's got a very special investigation to tell us all about.
Ezra Levant's Update00:14:40
Hey, boss, thanks for joining me on, I guess, your own show.
Well, Sheila, thanks for hosting the show.
And this week, I've been so busy with another special project that I needed to take the time off.
So thank you for spotting me off on the show.
But that said, we got some very interesting news that we just had to roll out.
As you know, politicians across the West have been cheating on their own lockdowns.
We see that in almost every government.
Gavin Newsom of California, most famously going to an exclusive luxury dinner when he locked down other restaurants.
Nancy Pelosi in the Congress going to a private hair salon when she locked down barbershops for the little people.
This has been everywhere.
We've seen resignations en masse in Alberta and the finance minister of Ontario resigning in disgrace after cheating.
We haven't made a big noise about it, but we have been hunting lockdown cheaters for about two months now.
And I don't want to publicize where we have sent people, but let me put it this way.
Five locations in three countries.
And, you know, it's a high-risk, high-reward strategy because you're just guessing where a politician would be, when they would be there.
You're guessing that you would find them.
I mean, they're not likely going to be walking on the streets.
So you need some intel, you need tips.
And we finally found one.
John Torrey, the mayor of Toronto, perhaps the meanest lockdown brute in the country.
Well, there was a weekend get-together at his gorgeous, gorgeous place in a private gated community in North Palm Beach.
And you can see the footage here.
Beautiful home.
It's got to be worth at least $10 million now.
Luxurious in every way.
And our on-the-spot eyes saw cars coming and going all weekend.
Now, you might be thinking, well, is that a housekeeper or a maintenance person?
No, no, no.
It wasn't that.
These were luxury vehicles.
There was a friendly summertime bicycle.
They came and went all weekend.
These were not maintenance people or housekeepers or anything like that.
It was someone enjoying John Torrey's beautiful home in Florida.
Now, John Torrey himself says it's not him, but he's lied about things like this before.
But let's take him at his word.
Maybe it wasn't him.
So who was it?
Was it his kids?
Was it his friends?
Who's using John Torrey's $10 million Florida getaway when the mayor himself is saying, don't you dare travel?
Who do you think it is, Sheila?
Well, I don't think it even matters who it is because the thing is that John Torrey says that the best way for people to live their lives is under his authoritarian lockdown thumb in Ontario.
And yet, someone, be it Tory or his family or extended family or friends, is using his luxury home in one of the least restrictive states in the entire union.
And I think that shows that even John Tory doesn't think that the lockdown is working.
Yeah, I mean, he's been such a vicious scold.
And I mean, I don't care if some mayor scolds me.
I mean, I mean, what do I care?
It's not the scolding.
It's the use of the law.
He's the guy who dispatched 100 police, including six riot horses, to crush the barbecue rebellion of Adam Skelly at Adamson's Barbecue.
They are naming and shaming people who are there, calling for massive fines.
As you know, Sheila, our Fight the Fines Project has many cases in Ontario.
So he's brutal, except for his own property.
And I want to know who it was.
I mean, I'm a skeptic when he says it wasn't him, but let's assume, you know, clock is the stop clock is right twice a day.
Let's assume that's the truth.
So who wasn't there?
Because it wasn't criminals breaking in.
They were people using it.
So who were they?
And why won't he tell us?
Why is he protecting family, friends?
I don't know.
And why would any other Canadian, especially someone in Toronto, live under the lockdown when the boss is clear?
Well, if you're friends with me, you don't have to follow the rules.
Well, I suppose after we saw what happened to Adam Skelly, that's why people in Toronto might continue to live under the lockdown because John Torrey will absolutely send in the riot cops and drop the hammer on normal people who want to live as free as John Torrey and his friends and family do.
I mean, seeing grandmas get arrested and thrown to the ground by police while John Torrey or someone in his extended family or his friends are able to live and enjoy life in one of the least restrictive lockdown states in the United States.
Now, I wanted to ask you, boss, it's just us doing this sort of work.
I mean, I was talking to David yesterday and he made a really great point that when he was investigating the suspected trip, we don't have confirmation, of Justin Trudeau out of the country over Christmas with Guy Annabelle.
He said that Guy Annabelle passed this information along to Glenn McGregor.
And Glenn McGregor said, oh, well, I heard back from the PMO.
The PMO says that he's up at Harrington Lake and that's good enough.
Nobody actually drove up to Harrington Lake to double check.
It's just us doing this sort of work.
And yet the mainstream media is getting bailout bucks from Justin Trudeau because I guess because they do valuable work, I don't see it.
So I suppose my question to you is, boss, how much is this costing us?
Well, again, I really, really want to tell some of the stories.
And Sheila, you know some of the people we've sent to exotic places.
As you can see, we used drones in this case because we could not get onto the property.
We couldn't ring the doorbell and say, hi, who are you?
Because we couldn't get past the armed guards at the gate.
So we have sent people to most exotic places where people have, our people have traveled.
One day we'll tell the story.
By airplane, by bus, and by motorbike, in one case, hunting for a big-name politician.
We have found a number of big shots, but not Canadian big shots.
You know what?
Don't mean to tease or tantalize, but we have, if I added up the airfare, the accommodations, the cost of the drones, and we have hired some freelancers and hard to get to places.
I would say we're around $10,000.
And I know that sounds like Chump Change, a rounding error to the CBC, but that's big bucks to us.
And in most of the cases, it's like drilling an oil well.
We came up dry, but you keep doing it until you strike gold or strike oil.
And we struck oil this time.
Torrey is claiming it's not him.
If I had a $10 million house in a highly guarded, gated community in North Palm Beach, Florida, I would know beyond a shadow of a doubt who was there.
And the fact that he's keeping that a secret tells us it's politically damaging.
I think that we are doing real journalism for everyone we find.
We've probably missed, you know, we've shot and missed five times.
This is the first score we've had.
And it is one of five places we've checked.
So the answer is we've drilled for oil five times.
We've struck oil once.
Total cost, probably $10,000.
We hit four dusters, as they say in the industry.
We do have a special website where people can donate to help cover the cost of our investigation because we are the only people doing this sort of work.
Nobody is hunting the locker downers quite like we are.
What's the website, boss?
Well, it's firetory.com, Torrey being the last name of Toronto's lockdown mayor, John Torrey.
So if you go to firetory.com, you can sign our petition and you can also chip in because, and again, it's sort of hard for me to hold back interesting newsy information about what we're doing because I don't want to tip off people we're tracking.
And I also want more than, like, so let's say there's five people we're hunting.
I don't want to tip them off, but I also want 100 politicians to say, is it me they're hunting?
Maybe I should be better behaved.
And I tell you, we will hunt them down.
And I should tell you, we've hunted people of a variety of political stripes.
And if you're a conservative, if you're a liberal, if you're a New Democrat, if you're bloc, if you're what, I don't care what you are, if you're a doctor, a public health authority, if you're a locker downer of any stripe, we're coming for you.
And by the way, I absolutely believe that we should all be free to travel.
I'm not against travel.
And the only reason I find it relevant is because these are the locker downers.
These are our jailers who are then sneaking off to their paradise.
That's my beef.
It's not that I've got a beef with John Torrey being worth $100 million partying at his $10 million Florida mansion.
If anything, I wish that were me.
That's my point.
It can't be me.
I haven't left this country since before the lockdown in March of last year.
And why should I obey the law if the lawmaker isn't?
That's the whole point here.
Well, Esther, I want to thank you for coming on to your own show.
I know you're very busy.
That's why I'm filling in.
So I'll let you get back to your work.
Again, that website is firetory.com.
And might I suggest at home, let's do a little crowd sourcing of our own.
We're really good at that here at Rebel News.
If you have a tip or a lead about one of these locker downer politicians, do send it to us at tips at rebelnews.com and you know we'll follow up on it.
Stay with us.
final thoughts and questions and queries and comments right after the break.
This is the part of the show where Ezra either gives his final thoughts, or we hear from you the dedicated viewer at home and And I think you hear enough of my thoughts.
every single day in my videos and in the live stream.
So you know what?
Let's hear a little bit more from you.
On Ezra's French language video, making an appeal to Quebecers to let us at Rebel News help you fight your COVID lockdown fines.
Most viewers saw right through Ezra's bad accent to his sincerity.
Matter21 writes, good job, Ezra, beautiful proof of respect for your friends in Quebec.
Very proud of you for your effort.
Nordic Wind says, this is good to include us as well in the fight for our rights.
And it would be awesome to have one of your fellow journalists cover our stories here in Quebec.
Plus, knowing you are not fluent in the language, I applaud you on your French speaking ability.
Respect to you and all of Rebel News.
Well, Nordic Wind, if that is indeed your real name, and I suspect it isn't, I'm very passionate about fighting these COVID lockdown fines and I'll cover as many Quebec stories as my absolute zero fluency in French will allow me to cover and I have a couple of them coming out very soon.
Okay, let's go over to David's video, shall we?
This is one of my favorites.
His story about the hockey moms who waged a protest game on Nathan Phillips Square to support Ocean Wiseblatt, the young man who was very nearly tasered by Calgary Cops for playing a pickup game of hockey on an outdoor rink.
Ron Metcalf says, maybe the NHL players should take a knee and stand up for youth hockey, if not boycott the televised hockey games.
If youth can't play, then adult NHL players can't play.
You know what, Ron?
What an excellent observation.
Where are the professional hockey players who get special exemptions from quarantine and enormous paychecks to play the sport they love?
Where are they to stand up for these little kids who are being denied some healthy outdoor activity with their little friends?
Island Lover tells us, actors can act, sports can continue on, but us little people can't do anything.
I bet you they can travel freely too.
Well, I think John Torrey, or at least members of his family, have been traveling pretty freely.
You can check out Ezra Levant's investigation into that whole story at firetory.com.
Oh, and sign the petition while you're there.
And you can pitch in at the very same time to cover our costs to do this sort of comprehensive, often out-of-country investigation into the travel and vacation habits of the locker downer politicians.
Well, everybody, that's the show for tonight.
You'll have another Rebel in this spot tomorrow.
Thanks so much for tuning in.
Thanks for your patience with me as I try to fill in for Ezra Levant.
Thank you to producer Justin for turning what I sent him into the show.
These folks are watching right now.
Thanks to the boss for trusting me with his show and thinking that I wouldn't burn the place to the ground.
