Yes, of course I heard that, and of course I'm going to mention it.
And if you just let me run things here, everything you want to hear, you're here.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida, it's open line Friday.
Have I heard that they're thinking of putting Keith Ellison as the head of the Democratic National?
Yes!
Not only have I heard that, you ought to see the people endorsing the move.
Chuck Yu Schumer!
Are you kidding me?
If the Democrat Party thinks they're in trouble now, wait until they make this move.
One of, I think he may be the only Muslim serving in the House Representative, right?
Are there two?
He's the first and maybe still the only Muslim.
Keith Ellison, he's in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He's the official candidate of the Council on CARE, whatever the acronym stands for.
I mean, for crying out loud, folks, they couldn't do much worse if they're thinking of unity.
Holy smokes.
And you know why they would do this?
I don't even want to get into it.
Because, you know, I don't want to be steeped in Democrat Party negativism today.
But man, oh man, are they must be really feel what all they want is payback.
They just want to ram it down Trump's throat or what they think will be ramming things down Trump's throat.
But what they're doing is engaging in self-destructive activities that they apparently do not see.
Anyway, folks, I'm glad that you're here.
It's great to have you back.
800-282-2882 and the email address ilrushbow at eibnet.com.
So while the Democrats are mired in a fit of emotional peak that is going to further destroy them, this rage and anger, Trump is really going to follow through on what he campaigned on.
He is his own man.
He's going to put his own people in key positions.
He is going to put people who are not part of the establishment as head of his cabinet positions or agencies.
And it has the potential to be absolutely great.
They use the term drain the swamp, especially in connection with the Department of Justice.
And what that means is get the people out of there who have politicized it and who have corrupted it.
If there is any agency in this country that is supposed to be blind to any of the differences between us, it's the Department of Justice.
They're not supposed to notice skin color.
They're not supposed to notice income difference.
They're not supposed to notice a thing because of the premise of equality before the law.
Now, they have their civil rights divisions and they have this division and that division.
The Obama Justice Department has attempted to take over and they have succeeded a number of major big city police departments under the premise that those police departments are racist.
That has to be unwound and the swamp drained.
And Trump is going to do this.
So many of the principles and the things that we have believed in all of our lives are going to be implemented here.
Now, I also want to address one thing else, just my personal thoughts on this.
I haven't received a lot of email about this lately, but I did early on in the campaign the refrain that Trump's not conservative and we're going to get stung here, Rush, if you're not careful, because Trump's not a conservative.
He's a New York Democrat, maybe a New York liberal.
That may have been true at one point.
But Donald Trump, my friends, is not blind and he is not stupid.
And he has not just witnessed, he has been the target of liberals and Democrats.
And he now, if he didn't know it, knows who they are.
He knows how they behave.
He knows how they attack.
And if you look at the names that he's floated for the Supreme Court, you'll find every name is somebody that most every conservative would applaud, not just agree with, but applaud.
When you listen to the names being bandied about for cabinet positions, you applaud.
We haven't seen evidence here that this guy wants to find a place for Elizabeth Warren or for Bernie Sanders or any of that.
And it's refreshing and it's inspiring.
It's encouraging and it's going to further radicalize and crazyize the left.
They are going to be driven even further insane.
And that's one of the reasons they're talking about Keith Ellison as head of the Democrat National Committee, you know, assuming the chair that Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz had.
That's an in-your-face move.
It's not a move designed to help improve them.
They think it is, but really what it's an in-your-face move, because they really think, you know, the Selena Zito passage in the Atlantic, Trump's opponents do not take him seriously, but they take him literally.
Now, I think this is true of all liberals, by the way.
And Trump's supporters take him seriously, but not literally.
This is why, I'll give you a great example of this.
The Chris Wallace debate question.
Mr. Trump, will you acknowledge here with us all tonight that if you lose the election, that you will concede that you've lost the election.
I'm not going to do that until we find out what happens.
I know Donald Trump.
I have spent enough time with Donald that I know him.
I know how to read him.
I know how to hear him.
But I know him.
There is no way that Donald Trump was ever going to not accept his defeat if that's what genuinely happened.
If it didn't genuinely happen, he wasn't going to accept it.
But these people believe, they really believe that Trump was prepared to blow up the Constitution if he lost.
They really believe that by virtue of that answer.
By the same token, when Trump talks about limiting immigration and finding out who loves this country and who doesn't, and trying to best to vet them and keep the people that don't love this country and may intend us harm out, and he says part of that is a Muslim consideration because they're the ones conducting acts of terror.
They hear Trump say that he's going to go on patrol and he's going to make sure that not a single Muslim ever gets in this country and furthermore that every other Muslim is going to get kicked out.
They really are so far from and distant from reality that it's hard to chronicle.
When what you and I knew was that Trump was simply saying we're going to keep bad people out of the country to the best extent we can.
It was no more complicated than that.
But they have their inordinate, out-of-control fears, and it doesn't take much to trigger them.
So now they, college students, women really believe, like this piece I have in the show prep stack here, some feminist leader urging women to go out and buy as many birth control pills as they can because Donald Trump's going to make sure they're not available in the drugstores when he's in office.
Who would possibly believe that?
What kind of people really believe that?
Donald Trump's never said it.
But even if he did say it, he wouldn't have meant that.
This is the point about taking him literally versus seriously and versus MISA.
But it's fascinating to watch these people.
Harry Reid, the outgoing Senate leader for the Democrats, Donald Trump has ushered in a new wave of hate.
And it's going to be up to Donald Trump to temper the hate and make sure the hate does not become prime.
Donald Trump isn't anything.
He's not about hate.
They are.
Harry Reid and the Democrats.
And I was, there's a, oh, another great example.
They, Hillary was actually in one of the debates, I think, actually made some claim or some media person that Trump was going to put people that disagreed with him in jail.
Remember that?
This is not who we are.
We do not jail our political.
We don't.
The Obama administration did.
The poor guy that made that pathetic video that had nothing to do with Benghazi was put in jail.
They're the ones that want to jail political opponents and let absolute human debris out of jail.
Scooter Libby, they put in jail about a false, phony, trumped-up charge.
It's just, it's, but I'm telling you, they are still coming to grips with this, and it's going to be a long time.
I don't think they're ever going to accept it.
The meltdown is going to continue.
Quickly into the audio sound by Trump number three here.
The day would not complete with Be Complete without an audio soundbite referencing me.
And today comes from NPR, a program that aired this morning.
The host is a guy named John Hockenberry.
He's taking calls from listeners about the election.
And a guy named Dave from Newark, New Jersey called in.
I think liberals who are going on this whole not my president thing are really no better than when Rush Lindbaugh said in 2009, I hope he fails.
You can't root against the president.
We've lost.
Get over it.
It's time to put on our big boy pants and get to work.
Good point there, Dave, from Newark, New Jersey.
Good point there, Dave, from Newark, New Jersey.
We've got to be better than Rush Lindbaugh.
Except, I didn't say I hoped America failed.
I hoped Obama failed in implementing his agenda.
As it turns out, he didn't.
He succeeded wildly in implementing his agenda.
I also got an email.
Rush, don't you feel a little hypocritical?
You gave Obama all this grief for his stimulus bill that was for rebuilding roads and bridges.
But when Trump announces his plan, which even spends more than Obama plan, you don't seem to have a problem with it.
Well, here's the difference.
I knew from the get-go that Barack Obama wasn't going to spend a dime on roads and bridges.
I knew from the get-go that that's how Obama sold the idea.
Who would ever be against rebuilding roads and bridges and schools and all that?
I knew that that money was to be spent to grow government.
And it turned out that over 75% of the stimulus was given to union employees during the recession to guard against them being unemployed.
Because a union member unemployed doesn't pay dues.
And when a union member unemployed is not paying dues, then the money donated to Democrat campaign coffers is not as large.
The whole thing's a money laundering scheme.
So Obama authorizes about $800 billion in stimulus building, spending 75% of it goes to union members who pay dues, and that money comes right back to the Democrat Party.
I would say of the $800 billion that was allocated for stimulus, a couple hundred million ends up with Democrats going through unions and dues and then union donations from the dues money.
And then other Democrats were paid off who had helped Obama get elected.
Big donors were given things like Solyndra.
But I knew from the beginning, we're going to spend the money on roads and bridges, and we haven't.
But I think when Donald Trump talks about how embarrassed he is at the state of some American airports, he's truthful.
And I think that some, if he's got a stimulus plan, and if the thing gets passed, if the Republican Congress authorizes it, and it'll be interesting to watch the Democrats what they do on this.
Because Trump does have a big, big stimulus plan.
Well, not a stimulus.
He's got a big roads and bridges repair project plan.
And the Democrats, they could not wait to vote for and authorize Obama's.
Let's see what they do in the Senate and in the House when Trump's plan comes up.
Let's see if they oppose it.
I have no doubt they'll oppose it.
Some of them are going to be tempted to go along with it, though, because they think the people benefiting from the money will be union types, construction and so forth.
But we'll see.
But they're going to be tempted to oppose Trump on everything just for the principle of it.
So we'll see.
They're going to be in a bit of a dilemma on that.
Quick phone call here before we hit the break in this hour.
This is Jody in Raleigh, North Carolina.
I'm glad you waited.
It's great to have you with us.
Hello.
Hey, Rush, first-time caller.
I've been a listener since the day after 9-11.
So happy to be on today.
Hey, I'm Cookie.
I'm at a University of North Carolina.
I just wanted to share that since Wednesday, I have received numerous emails from the department head and the university bulletin telling faculty how to console our distraught students, where to spend them for counseling to deal with their grief.
Rush, it is like somebody died.
I just wonder, has this ever happened before in any other election?
Well, it has in a modified form in 2004 when John Kerry lost here in South Florida.
I think this was the first time that I was actually aware of it.
A bunch of brand new therapy centers in existing hospitals and clinics sprung up to help Democrat voters who were distraught over John Kerry's loss.
And they got so many customers that a new business was created post-election stress disorder.
And I'm not, I'm not, it's what they called it.
And they had so many customers that it now exists.
What's happening with you and your little snowflakes on college campus?
Well, let me ask you this.
How do you deal?
You're an adjunct professor.
How do you deal with it when you get letters, emails to the administration telling you how to deal?
What do you really do?
Well, Rush, that's the problem.
I would love to fire back one of these reply alls and say, hey, I'm not on the same page as y'all.
But, you know, because that's what we've gotten, you know, replies that said, oh, thank you for sending us this email on this day of mourning, this sad day.
But Rush, I can't.
I can't reply because I just feel like my contract will end if I'm not.
I know you can't reply, but how are you dealing with the little snowflakes in your class?
That's right, Rush.
Well, I say nothing because, again, I value my job there at the university.
And honestly, I just feel like I can't say a mumbling word.
Okay.
Look, this is how the left has always ended up being able to control things.
Either you are afraid for your job or a parent of a student who disagrees is afraid for the kid's grade or being expelled.
And so this is a kind of bullying that they get away with.
I saw something, you'll be interested in this.
William Shatner of Star Trek fame, who is one of the funniest human beings you'd ever meet, he heard about these snowflakes wilting on campus and melting down.
And he tweeted something along the lines of, hey, it's time to grow up.
You don't get everything you want all the time, and it's time to stop crying and be adults about this.
And he was greeted with tweet after tweet after tweet from people who said, Mr. Shatner, your days of relevance have passed.
Your trip down memory lane to nostalgia is worthless.
There is real suffering and real pain, and you don't understand it, and you're not being helpful.
And I disagree.
I think somebody needs to get hold of these kids and tell them, grow up.
You have no business letting an election affect the rest of your life like this.
You're not going to win everything you go for.
You're not going to win every election.
You've got to learn to adapt and come back and win the next time.
I would grab by the shoulders, not physically, because then I'd go to jail, and shake them and try to get them to realize reality.
There's no excuse for this, if you ask me.
Coddling this kind of childish behavior is guaranteed these kids are not going to grow up.
I need you to hang on, Jody.
Do not go away.
I'll tell you what, Donald Trump just made a brilliant move.
He removed Governor Christie from the transition team head and put Mike Pence in there.
Mike Pence in charge of the transition.
There are 4,000 jobs that need to be filled in these next 73 days.
And having Mike Pence lead that effort is some of the best news we could have gotten today.
I want to go back to Jody in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jody, I think you're going to be more emboldened to act as you want as the days, the months go by here because there's going to be fundamental shift making it possible for you to do so.
I hope so, Rush.
I hope so.
Well, you will.
Now, I need to ask you, would you like a new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus?
Oh, Rush, my 5, the screen is cracked.
So you made my day with that.
You need iPhone 5.
Yeah, it's time for an upgrade.
You want a plus.
Okay, what is your carrier?
AT ⁇ T. AT ⁇ T.
Okay, you have a color preference?
What do you got?
Like black?
Black.
Okay.
Would you like the matte black or the jet black?
That's impossible, but anybody for me to get.
Yes, I think the matte black.
You want the matte black?
Done deal.
It'll come to you.
It may have a T-Mobile SIM card in it, but don't worry.
It's unlocked.
You can put your iPhone 5 SIM card in this phone and it'll work.
Or you can go to AT ⁇ T to have the number switched however you want to do it.
But you tell anybody that asks it's unlocked.
Means it'll work with any number that you want to put in there.
Okay?
Wow, Rush, thank you so much.
You bet.
Now, don't hang up.
We need to get your address so we can fit exiting to you.
We'll be back here in just a second.
Half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.
Rushlimbaugh, the EIB network.
Did you see, you see where yesterday the ever-smug Josh Ernest, the White House, who do you think Trump's press secretary will be, Mr. Snerdley?
Any idea who Mr. Trump's press secretary would be?
Amarosa?
Omarosa Manigault Stalworth?
Well, not the Stalwart anymore.
dumped.
You think, oh, you're thinking Katrina Pearson?
You're thinking, well, that's Omarosa.
You think Omarosa?
No, no, no, they.
Katrina Pearson's a concern of Pearson who also had Scotty Nell Hughes.
Do you think?
How about Hannity?
How about Sean Hannity as press secretary?
Would that not be, well, Tony Snow did it.
Would that not be, well, I know, but Tony Snow was an infant.
He came from Fox, so what?
No, Kelly Ann Conway is going to be behind the scenes in the White House somewhere like Rove was with, boy, yeah, yeah.
I've heard, yeah, Steve Moore's name, Kudlow for Treasury, that kind of thing.
That's what I mean.
People that were always quoting people.
Yeah, I'll tell you, I'm jazzed.
But what I was going to say is the current White House press secretary is Josh Ernest.
And he said this.
He said that it is too early to discern exactly what message voters were trying to send on Tuesday.
We're talking the river in Egypt again here.
Denial.
There is no way that there is an unclear message.
Now, having said that, I'm not surprised the White House would try to pretend they don't understand.
I'm not surprised the White House would try to confuse other Democrats or give them comfort.
I mean, I'm not surprised the guy that's the press secretary for Obama will go out and try to convince people that the result had nothing to do with Obama.
He's a loyal guy.
But Tuesday's vote can be summed up in one sentence.
The people of this country said no more.
They said no more fundamental transformation of America.
We want somebody not only who's going to stop what Obama was doing, but we want somebody who's going to roll it back.
Just like Obama vowed to roll back the Reagan Revolution, we vow to roll this back.
And it's understandable, but Ernest would go out there and try to make everybody think that this election was not about his boss.
But Ernest wasn't finished.
He went out there.
He went on to say that Obama was going to continue to push and protect his policies between now and January 20th.
No matter how much people hate and reject them, he's still going to push them.
Yep, real servant of the people.
Real servant.
Obama's policies have just been told to pound sand.
What's Obama going to do?
He's going to go down and just slam them right down our throats.
How about the Grubhub guy?
Did you hear about this guy?
Do you know what Grubhub is?
It's a food delivery service.
And the guy that runs it, when I saw his picture, it's all I needed after I read the story and saw his picture.
You know, it is a shame.
I'm just going to say this.
It's a shame what liberalism has done to millennial-aged men.
Way too many of them.
They've demasculated them.
They have neutered them in just incredible ways.
The only way to describe this, and not just this guy at Grubhub, but in all of these leftist millennial men, whether they're journalists or business people, to listen to them talk, they have become full-fledged walking robots of the indoctrination that they've had.
Anyway, this guy at Grubhub, Before he was called out on it, this guy basically said that anybody who voted for Trump is not welcome to stay employed at Grubhub.
You voted for Trump.
You don't have a home here.
You don't have a job.
You'd better keep quiet.
And that's what he was really saying, because he can't fire people.
Well, I guess he could try.
But what he was really saying, what the CEO of Grubhub, his real message was to the people that work there, if you agree with Trump, you shut the hell up and you don't talk about it or you're gone.
We don't want to hear it and we will not hear it.
That's the message.
He was bullying his employees and using the power of his position to tell them that they were not free to speak.
And he can do that.
I mean, the First Amendment related to government can't write a law that infringes on your speech, but this guy can.
He can lay out the conditions for employment.
But it's typical.
I mean, these people, these are the ones that tell us, folks, that they are the ones who are tolerant.
They're not bigoted.
No.
They're the ones that are tolerant and understanding, and they love diversity.
What a crock.
These people wouldn't, diversity to them is nothing more than the coloring on a package.
That's all it is.
It certainly has nothing to do with substantive thought.
When it comes to substantive thought, the left doesn't have any diversity.
It has rote requirements.
And if you don't speak the way it, even journalists, you know what was happening on Twitter?
Have you heard of the journalist shaming that was going on out there?
It reached record proportions.
There were some journalists toward the end who were writing positive things about Trump.
And the journalist community, I'm talking about people whose names you would know, were responding and shaming them and telling them to shut up.
They were embarrassment to the profession if they didn't even opine, if they were just reporting things that showed Trump in a positive way.
So here we have among us our brave leftists, champions of diversity, champions of non-bigotry, champions of tolerance, and they're none of those things.
They don't tolerate opposing opinions.
They don't tolerate any diversity whatsoever of thought.
But what the left has done to millennial aged men, and even some older than men, I think, is very sad.
It's just very sad.
And it's very unfortunate.
Because what they've essentially done is try to erase characteristics of masculinity and maeledom that are genetic.
And they have done their best to nearly criminalize much of what has long been normal male behavior.
If not criminalize it, stigmatize it.
And they have succeeded in creating a series, a huge number of, I don't know, wimps is not the correct word, but it's certainly a new definition of manly.
Here is David in Racine, Washington.
Welcome, sir.
You're next in, I'm sorry, Wisconsin.
Great to have you on the program.
Hi.
Greetings, sir.
I've been listening since the Bush 41 administration.
Well, wow, you're a lifer.
You go back 1988, 1990, somewhere.
Thank you very much.
Thank you, sir.
Getting quickly to the point, I think that the Trump administration could show some magnanimity by appointing Hillary Clinton as ambassador to Libya.
Take advantage of her experience or show that you broke it, you bought it.
Oh, geez, I'm thinking.
If Trump would announce that even before calling Hillary with it, I'm thinking of calling Hillary Clinton.
She's a valuable administration, and maybe she would serve as our ambassador to Libya.
Then she could take Sid Blumenthal with her.
Oh, yeah, tell her that, hey, you know what, you want to hire Sid?
Be fine with me.
I know Obama wasn't cool with it as long as you take him with you.
Find a navy.
Hire old Sid.
Hey, that's very good.
Would you like, I'm asking everybody today, would you like a new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus?
Oh, that would be shiny.
Which model would you like, the 7 or the 7 Plus?
Probably to start out since I'm a bit of a technophobe.
Probably the 7.
Okay.
What carrier?
ATT.
ATT.
Done deal.
I'll send you an iPhone 7 black.
In fact, the Apple Jet Black iPhone 7, I think, is the most, well, it's the best looking, most beautiful product they've ever made.
My opinion.
Wow, that would be slicker than snot on a doorknob.
It's going to rate a little bit higher than that.
You'll see, but I like the way you think out there.
Now, hang on so we can get the FedEx address from you because you will have it tomorrow.
Don't go away, folks.
Arlene in Fort Charlotte, Florida.
You're next on Open Line Friday.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
It's actually Pauline, not Arlene.
I'm sorry about that, Pauline.
Welcome to the program.
Thank you.
We've been listening to you for about 20 years, and my husband has withdrawal pain so we don't hear you.
Oh, no.
And so anyway, my question is: what do you think will happen with the Clinton Foundation since nobody I can imagine would be wanting to pay Bill and Hillary to talk to them anymore?
Well, you know, it's a great, great thing to ponder.
I've been asking myself a bunch of things.
They took a lot of money.
I mean, they took millions.
Some people gave them $100 million, Pauline, from people all over the world and governments, and they expected something for it that they're not going to get now.
Right.
Now, I have seen people in the mainstream media speculate that the Clinton Foundation is going to be wound down.
And one of the reasons is that the people there do not want there to be an investigation of the place.
Oh, okay.
That makes sense.
Yeah, there's a lot to be found there that nobody knows.
And it served its purpose.
It rebuilt Clinton's image after the Lewinsky circumstance.
It raised all this money for Hillary and Bill.
It made them rich.
Right.
So why continue it when there's nothing we can offer?
Made Chelsea very rich, too.
But now I rigged it.
It did.
And now they're talking about Chelsea running for Congress.
That might be one reason to keep.
I know.
I know.
You think, gosh, will the monster never go away?
Hey, Pauline, would you like a new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus?
Oh, I would love it.
Which one?
The Plus?
The Plus?
And who's your carrier?
ATT.
You have a color preference out there, Pauline.
Not really.
Really?
Okay, would you like it white on the front or black on the front?
Black.
Okay.
Done deal.
Taken care of.
So just remember, we're going to, hang on, Mr. Snerdley, get your address.
You'll have it tomorrow.
But when you get it, it's unlocked, which means it will work.
Yours is going to work on any carrier.
It'll work on ATT just fine.
It may have no SIM card.
It might have a Verizon SIM card in it, but pay more attention.
You take it to ATT and tell them it's a gift, that it's unlocked from the factory and that you want your number put on it.
And they will do that and make it happen.
So we'll send you a black one, and you'll have it tomorrow.
Don't hang up now, Pauline.
If I had to guess, I think Barack Obama will pardon Hillary Clinton before he leaves office.
But I still think they'll wind down that foundation, whether she's pardoned or not.
There's going to be a lot of third world potentates might be suing for breach of contract.
I'm half joking.
Some people might want their money back.
I mean, there's a lot of people who've given a lot of money that's now worthless.
