Time Text
No, no, there's no mistake about it.
This guy's Sadiq Mateen, his father.
Omar's Mateen's dad supports Hillary Clinton.
The guy makes signs.
Guy made a big yellow sign carrying around.
Hillary Clinton makes the biggest investment since World War II.
Good for national security.
Then she quotes this ex-CIA chief, Mike Morrell.
Hillary told the truth about Benghazi.
Gun control laws.
So the father of the shooter and the Orlando massacre at the gay bar is a big Hillary supporter.
Now, is Hillary going to be asked by the media to uh denounce Sadiq Mateen.
Is is is Hillary going to be asked to distance herself from the what do you mean what?
Well, the drive-by's went out there and demanded it.
Donald Trump denounced David Duke.
What do you mean, well?
No, I'm I'm speaking rhetorically.
I of course know the media is not.
The media's gonna turn this guy into hero.
The media's gonna turn this.
See, see, it couldn't have been this man that inspired Sadiq.
Therefore, it couldn't have been Islam.
That's what this guy's support for Hillary does.
It says it enables everybody to say, see, this guy, he was a one-off lunatic.
He was so deranged, he was seriously sadly unbalanced.
It had nothing to do with Islam, why he blew up the gay bar in Orlando, because after all, look, his father is a brilliant man, supports Hillary Clinton, and understands how great she will be for the world and so forth and so on.
Meanwhile, Hillary's campaigns claiming they didn't know that this guy was a supporter.
She began her remarks at this event.
By the way, by the way, I've I have not been able to confirm this.
I there is so much out there.
But apparently there were only 150 people at this rally.
And drive-by news organizations have actually photoshopped pictures, still shots to make it look like thousands were there.
But this is this been claimed by a couple places.
Uh I'm not I'm not quite comfortable in saying, yep, that's exactly what happened, except that I do know that she is not drawing crowds.
She's not drawing crowds at all wherever she goes, folks.
Now, what makes this interesting is that Trump's crowds are still as large as ever, and they're still as enthusiastic as ever.
They're still as energetic and upbeat as ever.
And we're told that doesn't matter.
That you can't look at crowd size and crowd enthusiasm.
What you have to look at is the polls.
And of course, there's a new poll out today, the Monmouth poll.
And it's got Trump down every which way you can be down, and it's down by 10 points.
It's the worst poll that Trump's had since the conventions.
I mean, it is, it is, it is a horrible poll for Donald Trump.
And when people say, yeah, but the polls look at the crowds Trump's.
No, you can't look at the crowds Trump's drawing.
Well, what about the fact that nobody's showing up to Hill to hear Hillary?
Well, no, no, you you can't, you can't extrapolate that either.
So none of what you see, uh, the experts tell you is relevant.
None of what you see and none of what you experience means anything.
You have to go by what we are telling you as a result of our polling data.
Let's go to the audio sound bites on this, just a couple here.
This is John Berman at CNN this morning, uh, talking about Sadiq Mateen, the father of the Orlando terrorist, Omar Sadiq Mateen.
And again, this guy is seated right behind her, right over her left shoulder.
And the first thing she, by the way, mentioned, according to reports, Hillary's she began her remarks by talking about the shooting at the nightclub.
Because she was there.
I mean, she was that her event her event was was was near there.
Anyway, here's how CNN dealt with this.
A strange chapter in this campaign that happened overnight.
A lot of us didn't notice it yesterday, but during Hillary Clinton's event in Kissimmee, which apparently I've been saying wrong for dozens of years.
In Florida.
Hillary Clinton did an event.
And sitting behind her on the stage.
You can see it right there.
That's the father of the Orlando shooter.
He says he went to the event.
He essentially says that he likes Hillary Clinton.
He doesn't essentially say that he likes Hillary.
He's made this gigantic yellow sign that he carries around.
And he holds it up, and it's so big he has to extend his arms as as wide as he can to hold the sign.
Hillary Clinton makes the biggest investment since World War II.
Hillary Clinton, good for national security.
Hillary Clinton, ex-CIA chief Morel.
Hillary told the truth about Benghazi.
Hillary Clinton gun controller.
The guy's all in for her.
And it was a low, it was Channel 5 here, Mr. Snerdley, that caught up with the guy and televised his sign.
Televised him holding his sign.
That's right, our local guys at uh at the local NBC affiliate.
WPTV Channel 5.
They were on the case.
They found the guy, they found the guy carrying his sign.
They found the guy holding up his sign.
They're interviewing him, and he's all in for Hillary.
Now, if this were reversed, and if this were Trump, I guarantee you the media would be all over Trump today, demanding to know how in the hell the guy even got in.
What does it mean?
When are you going to denounce this man?
Doesn't this destroy your campaign that the father of the anti-gay bomber at the Pulse Nightclub loves you?
Doesn't that wow?
And of course, no similar occurrence with Hillary is taking place.
The drive-bys are acting shocked that they missed it.
Right.
But this is interesting.
Alice Stewart, who was uh a spokesman and a strategirist and an advisor for Ted Cruz was on CNN later this morning, and she was talking to one of their info babes there, Kate Baldwin, who said, Alice, as somebody who's been high up in campaigns, you understand optics, and you know kind of how these rallies are kind of set up.
You kind of know how they're kind of set up.
And uh did did someone screw up here, Alice, do you think?
That is a major advanced team failure right there.
For that man to get back there and uh get past the advanced team's carefully choreographed background, uh it's not a good sign.
It's certainly not his fault, it's uh certainly not uh Hillary's fault.
I'm sure someone uh is sitting down right now and getting a tongue-lashing because that's something that should not happen in these kind of events.
Yeah, because in Hillary's events, they are scripted, they are they are controlled like no other events are controlled.
Uh but here you have a Ted Cruz supporter totally exonerating Mrs. Clinton.
She couldn't possibly have known.
Because if Mrs. Clinton would have been told, or if she had known this guy, Mateen Sadigmate, whatever would never have gotten in there.
The official program observer has a question.
What is the question?
Right.
Well, that's what I've been wondering, too.
What's wrong with the guy sitting back there?
He didn't do anything.
He didn't blow up the gay bar, he didn't blow up the nightclub.
I mean, somebody from his sperm club did, but he didn't.
And Islam is a religion of peace.
There's no terrorism in Islam.
So what's the big deal here?
Why does it matter that the father of somebody who uh blew up a gay nightclub happens to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton?
But apparently it's very, very nerve-wracking.
Apparently, the Hillary campaign is not at all happy about this.
I'm just, I want to reiterate to you that I'm not sure I buy this, that it was a screw up.
I think that this could be, could have been an attempt at putting uh Kazir Khan Jr. up there.
This could have been a potential trap to lure Trump in to making what they think is another impolitic, inappropriate comment, so that they could.
I mean, that's how these people operate.
And I wouldn't put that past the Clinton campaign or anybody running it for a moment.
Oh, before we go to the break here, I have to mention something.
I've I totally forgot to mention this yesterday, and it's really a big deal.
I I got a chance to squeeze it in in the last 20 seconds of the program.
On Friday, we had a young 13-year-old call here named uh Walker Huber, and he was mature way beyond his 13 years.
And in talking to him, he informed us that he had written an app, created an app for the iOS, the Apple iPhone iPad App Store, that was a game, a game that you played that ended up being critical in a humorous way of Hillary Clinton.
And that came at the very end of his phone call.
So uh one of our eager listeners here looked up the game, found the game, and we linked to the game at our website immediately when we found out about it, even before the program had ended, shortly after we linked to it.
I had talked about the uh the app and advised people.
Well, it turns out that Walker's app ended up it the the highest his app went that we were able to record, number five.
Now this is big.
When you realize that there are millions of apps in the iOS app store, a 13-year-old caller to this program talking about his app, we found it.
We put a link to it at Rush Limbaugh.com.
We hyped it for a couple of minutes here, toward the end of the program.
His app over the weekend was number five in all paid apps.
It was number three in the games category, and in the specific arcade games category, Walker's app shot up to number one.
It was a 99 cent app, still is a 99 cent app.
And uh you have to you have to listen to Hillary speak in it.
That's the one downside to it.
The app does have Hillary uh audio in it.
Uh it's amazing that it got cleared because most of the apps, most of the political apps this season, the iOS app store happen to be bashing Trump.
But some have gotten uh past that bash Hillary or make fun of her.
I mean, this is not really a bashing app, it's just a it it pokes fun.
But you know, to the left, making fun of them is the same thing as bashing them, because they don't have any sense of humor.
But I just wanted to take a time and recognize Walker here, 13 years old.
He wrote his app, and it was at the end of his call.
Oh, by the way, by the way, I wrote an app I wrote Thanks, Walker, great to hear from you.
I wrote an app, it's called just is his call in it.
He got the name of his app, but it was not the primary reason he called.
And it turns out that he had a great weekend with it.
And I I meant to mention this yesterday, and I did I didn't get to it till the end of the program yesterday.
Brief time out here now, friends, and we move on.
We'll be back in just a second.
Don't go away.
Okay, let's get to the phones.
I have to barely scratch the surface here today.
This is this is one of these days that stuff just keeps coming in, upending everything I had prepped, and we're trying to combine it and mix it all together here into some semblance of uh cohesiveness.
We uh we start in Wichita with Scott.
Scott, thank you for calling.
It's great to have you with us.
Hello.
Hey Rush, how are you today, sir?
Very well, sir.
Thank you.
Hey, I called you back in 1993, and uh you were right.
About what?
I mean, I know, but but but I I got into a conversation, I think it was about the Bushes or something, but you were right.
I'm 54 years old now, and uh you were completely on target, man.
I should have never questioned you, but I thought I was smart.
What what did you you have in 1993, 1990, 9495, uh 20 some odd years ago, what uh uh do you remember what it was that you were bashing the bushes about?
I I cannot remember what it was, Rush.
I really don't remember.
But uh all I can say is you were right.
And uh another thing I'd like to add before I let you go, I know you're busy, is that one who gets elected as president.
We as a nation are done.
Uh love you rush, have a good day.
Thank you.
Well, look.
I'm I'm gonna be uh let me tell you something I've decided to do here, folks, and it's I'm gonna it's gonna require your uh indulgence.
Not today, but as we after Labor Day, once once we get summer vacations over with and people get back to a sense of normalcy, and everybody starts focusing on the campaign, not not just us wonks and and people who are fascinated by it for other reasons.
But admittedly, not everybody is, and many of those people who aren't are not even paying close attention right now.
You think they can't escape it because this news is all over the media.
But it isn't.
Half of the things that you know that have outraged you, that worry you, half of the things that you know that you think ought to outrage everybody, most of the country hasn't been told.
And that actually is one of the main problems we have.
We we've often asked ourselves and asked, and you've called and asked, how stupid are people?
I mean, why doesn't the most recent example is this payment of a ransom of 400 uh, what was it, 400 million?
Or was it 400,000?
I'm having a metal block.
I've got too much going through my mind.
Whatever it was, it was a ransom payment.
It's 400 million dollar ransom payment to the Iranians that's going to help them spread terrorism and and and continue work on their nuclear program.
And if I had one person ask me, I had 10, why doesn't this outrage people?
And my answer is they don't know.
You know about it because of the of the news you consume.
But people that only use the mainstream media, they're not told that it's a ransom.
They know that the payment happened, but they think it's totally above board.
They don't, they're just they it's not that they don't get irritated by it or outraged, they don't know what it is.
So that is the root here of what I'm telling you that I'm gonna do.
I am going to tackle this from a different standpoint.
Uh because what our last caller said is right, this election really is crucial.
And to me, it is about what kind of country we are going to be going forward.
There's always going to be an America.
There always will be in America.
It's what America is that's at stake.
And we already know what the last eight years, we already know the people running the country for the last eight years, we know what they want to do to this country.
And they have a pretty good start on it.
They've got an eight-year start, and they haven't been opposed in much of it in Washington in the political sphere.
Four more years of this, and particularly with all of the Supreme Court vacancies that are going to come up.
If the next president is a carbon copy of Obama ideologically, politically, then pretty much every institution that we rely on will have been corrupted.
And by that I mean overtaken by the left.
And that will mean a genuine fundamental change in the country until a majority of people do become aware of what has happened and at that point demand a change, and that will cause the cyclical rebound in our direction.
But we don't want to have to go through all of that.
We don't want the country to have to hit rock bottom in order for people to recognize how the left can take us there.
And so I'm going to be tackling this in just a moderately different way.
I'm not going to assume that everybody listening has been listening for 25 years and understands everything I believe.
So some of the techniques that I use to explain some of this may sound like I'm going back to a uh an early education level.
Because the people that I want to reach, got to reach them first.
I've got to somehow grab their attention.
And one thing we know is that the daily criticism of people like Obama or Hillary with current context falls on deaf ears.
It's disregarded because it's considered to be just partisan clap trap.
It's disregarded because people who hear it thinks it comes from people who don't like Obama or Hillary anyway, and that's the only reason why they're saying it.
So they they disregard it.
And the objective here is persuasion.
It certainly will be in this instance.
So I mean, I don't want to give away specific techniques, but I'm just telling you that I may rehash areas and things that you know and know conclusively and have heard me talk about for years in an effort to reach people who otherwise would be immune.
There just has to be a different way of reaching them.
It's not going to it's not going to involve an ideological change in the program.
You're going to love it just as much.
In fact, you may think it's it's it's great because it's if if I do it right, it it will be effective.
Um brief timeout.
That's all I'm gonna say about it right now.
You'll know it when you hear it.
The parents of two of the four Americans who died in the Benghazi attack in 2012 filed a lawsuit yesterday against Hillary Clinton, alleging her reckless handling of classified information attributed to their deaths.
The uh the case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by Larry Clayman of Freedom Watch USA on behalf of Patricia Smith, who is the mother of Sean Smith, and Charles Woods, the father of Tyrone Woods,
nicknamed Roan, uh, for allegedly wrongfully causing the death of their sons, as well as for defamation and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
The uh lawsuit suggests that Clinton's use of a private email server contributed to the deaths of Smith and Woods, adding that terrorists were able to obtain the whereabouts of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and thus the U.S. State Department and covert and other government operations in Benghazi, Libya, and then subsequently orchestrate plan and execute the now famous September 11th, 2012 attack.
In addition to the wrongful death and negligence charges named in the suit, the parents also claim that Clinton defamed them in statements to the media according to court documents, and that is I think related to Hillary telling them numerous occasions that it was a video that caused the protests that led to the attack in Benghazi.
And Hillary assured these parents that they were gonna get to the bottom of this guy that did the video and that he was going to be held accountable.
If you haven't seen the movie 13 hours, you can rent it.
I don't know if it's on Netflix yet, but you can rent it or buy it various places.
It's the story of what happened in Benghazi.
And I'll tell you the lesson you'll come away with watching this.
They don't delve much into the politics of it all.
There are a couple of uh by design they don't.
There are a couple of instances in the movie where some of the combatants on our side on the ground in Benghazi, when they're told that a video, that somebody is saying the video, a some video nobody's ever seen caused this.
They laugh about it and think it's this it's the craziest thing they've ever heard.
Because this was an organized, it was a large strategic and tactically executed attack.
It had mortars that were strategically targeted.
Some of the perps, what they did in lulls between the fighting, there were waves of fighting in the attack on the Annex at Benghazi.
And in one of the lulls, our guys happened to see some dilapidated car drive up, which they were waiting for friendlies.
The whole attack, they're waiting for support.
They're waiting for support from the United States or from Allies, and none ever came.
And it got to the point that when they realized none was coming, they made a feudal request.
Could you just send a couple of F-16s to fly over?
If you're not gonna launch anything at these people, could you just have them fly over and scare the hell out of them and make them think that you are coming?
And they wouldn't even do that.
But in the movie, it is and and the people involved in the movie say that it was it was done with precise care in replicating events as close to reality as they could.
And they portray an incident in a lull between the waves of attacks.
Some dilapidated broken down car with three people drives up to the compound.
The wall is still up, separating the compound from the street.
And they're on needles and pens.
I mean, they're they're waiting for anything to be another attack, but they hold off thinking something that's approaching might be friendly.
And so they don't fire on this dilapidated car.
It sits outside the wall for a couple of minutes and leaves.
And they figure out that what it was doing, the uh occupants of the car were using their cell phones to geotag the location of the troops inside the annex so that they could be eventually targeted precisely by mortar fire.
This was not a protest.
It was not anything related to a video.
And these families can't, they've got to be outraged at what happened here because there wasn't one, nobody lifted a finger to help until it was all over.
And that's the thing you'll come away with with uh when you watch this, is that they were begging the CIA, the uh security people, which is the ambassador of the three deaths were from the security team, Rangers and CIA people.
And they were begging for help, and none ever came.
The only help they had was local Benghazi gangs that they were paying to stand guard outside the annex and to help them return fire.
Now, the the Benghazi gangs were not part of the opposition, but they caved the moment the opposition showed up.
I mean, they ended up being pretty much worthless after not too long.
It's just infuriating uh to watch it.
You can understand the parents' reaction and why they don't want to let it go.
And it's gotta be offensive as it can be to them that the woman who stood by and let this happen because of whatever other objectives they had.
There was something that we haven't been told about why we were in Benghazi in the first place, because every other nation had pulled out.
It was a hellhole.
It was pure anarchy.
After Qaddafi was taken out by virtue of Hillary's policy, the place was total anarchy.
There was no government, there was no stability.
It was being uh control was being waged by one disparate gang of terrorists versus other gangs.
And every other nation got the hell out.
We didn't.
We kept a CIA station.
We kept an ambassadorial, well, we we kept a uh complex that would serve as an ambassadorial residence because Chris Stevens came in.
He came in and he met and he tried to do good works diplomatically, had a couple of meetings with locals and talked about helping them rebuild a library and this sort of thing, but he ended up being murdered.
And the one of the stipulations, or one of the one of the uh bits of conjecture as to why he was there is that we were actually using Benghazi to run guns to Syrian rebels.
And that's why we couldn't acknowledge our presence, and that's why we couldn't defend anybody there because we couldn't afford that to be known, or we couldn't afford that to be learned.
Running guns to the Syrian rebels, who were the Syrian rebels when you when you boil it, the Syrian rebels were ISIS.
But they weren't called that.
They were called the rebels, and that meant they were on our side because they were rebelling against Assad, who we didn't like.
And I remember uh Assad was accused of gassing his own people, i.e.
the rebels, and it turned out to be the other way around, which we knew from the get-go here.
So watching the movie, if you haven't seen it, it it it will it will provide pictures.
And it will help you understand even more why people remain to this day really bothered by this.
And why so many people think it would just be the biggest mistake we could make to have the woman in charge of that debacle become the commander-in-chief.
She is incompetent to begin with.
She is intemperate to begin with.
She may have health problems, who knows.
But she's not suited.
And that's before we even begin to talk about the destructive nature of her policies, which are just going to be echoes and expansions of the destructive policies that Barack Obama has implemented.
And this country doesn't need four more years of this or one more year of this.
We do not need a woman as president who has sold access to her presidency in advance already.
You know, Trump raised, there's a report that Trump raised 80 million dollars in July.
And there's an accompanying story that this has unnerved the Clinton campaign.
Now stop and think.
How many gazillions does Hillary already have?
Hillary has raised hundreds of millions.
She has collected hundreds of millions more for the Clinton Family Foundation.
She has sold access to her her would-be presidency to foreign governments, foreign entities, foreign individuals.
Before she even takes the oath of office, she already owes foreign governments and foreign entities in policy consideration.
We have no idea what they are.
We have no idea what they've bought.
All we know is that she has sold it.
And it's not just so Hillary Clinton can implement her ideology and her anti-American or disgust with America's founding thinking.
She's doing this to personally get rich.
As much as for anything else.
But the country can't afford four more years of this.
It can't afford even one more year of this.
And the people that have given us this mess are the career, supposed elite, qualified, expert.
They're in the business, they have the experience.
These are the people we can trust.
We can't trust people like Trump who doesn't know what he's doing.
He's never been a politician, he's never been in Washington.
We don't know who he's going to hire.
He might hire a bunch of cronies, he might hire a bunch of people who don't know what they're doing.
We can't afford it.
We do not need any more of the so-called experience and expertise that has given us this mess that we currently live in today.
We don't need any more.
Those people have already demonstrated they don't know what they're doing.
The people at the EPA, the people at the IRS, the people at the State Department, they don't know what they're doing.
Most of them think the United States is guilty anyway.
Most of them think the United States is flawed.
Most of them think the United States is the problem in the world.
Most of them have grown up and been educated and trained as leftist activists who do believe that the problems and the fault for all of the things wrong in the world can be laid at the feet of the United States of America and our wealth and our imperialism.
And they are like Barack Obama who believe we need to be cut down to size and we need to learn how the rest of the world has lived.
And we need to experience the pain and suffering we've inflicted on the rest of the world.
And do not doubt me about this.
This is exactly who they are.
And we don't need any more of it.
It's time to stop this direction we're headed and try to reverse it.
And a whole lot of American people think the same thing.
A whole lot of Americans are fed up with the so-called insider elite experience and qualifications and know-how, because they don't see the value in it.
And we'll find out in November just who outnumbers who.
But in the process, we're going to try to bring as many people along as we can to see exactly because where we are is not an accident.
Where this country is today is not an accident.
It's not the result of economic cycles.
It's not the result of ups and downs.
It's it's it's it's not it's not the result of happenstance.
We are where we are because people have written and implemented and signed into law policies that guaranteed the things that have happened have happened.
And many of those things have been detrimental to this country, to our economy, to our health care system, to our national defense, to our national security.
They have happened by design.
This administration has benefited from what I call the limbaugh theory.
They are not held accountable for any of the things that have gone wrong.
Obama's been in office eight years, and he still doesn't get blamed for this lackluster economy.
No, George W. Bush still gets blamed for that.
George W. Bush and the economic collapse of 2008, and poor Obama, he's just working so hard to fix it.
My God, he's working hard.
He never knew how bad it was.
They never told him how bad it was when he was inaugurated.
Man, did he find out that he'd been lied to.
He didn't know how bad it was.
He'd been working so hard, even trying to rebuild roads and bridges.
He'd been trying to rebuild schools.
He's been trying to rebuild the middle class, he'd been trying to create jobs, he's been trying to raise a minimum wage, he's been trying to equate the taxes, he's been man, it's just all these powerful forces are raided against him, and he haven't even meanwhile, it's been a steady decline all eight years.
And for a whole host of reasons, Obama's never blamed, never held accountable, never even associated with any of these failures.
All these failures are said to derive from previous years of Republican presidencies, even going all the way back to Reagan.
And that's not in any way, shape, manner, or form the explanation for why America finds itself where it is, where more Americans think our best days are behind us than our head, where more Americans believe that they'll never do as well as their parents.
There are reasons for this.
Way beyond happenstance, way beyond cycles, way beyond chance.
There are specific reasons because people want this country to be where it is today.
And they have succeeded in taking us there.
Back in just a second.
Fastest three hours in media.
Ill Rushball on a roll.
This is uh Bob in Quincy, Illinois.
Great to have you on the program, sir.
Hello.
Hi, Rush.
I would like to make two quick comments about Professor Gates, where I think he's uh just about a hundred degrees, a hundred and eighty degrees wrong on uh two things.
First of all, obviously, from a white supremacy standpoint in the college uh uh campuses, certainly is not talking about the students because this uh white students are uh underrepresented, uh uh underrepresented significantly by Asian students, Hispanic students.
But more importantly, uh he's attacking a white institution for sure, but it is a white institution of liberal professors, ex-hippies, and their uh trainees who are probably 95% liberal.
And uh if he's calling them racists, uh I think they're gonna be calling him out on the carpet.
Yeah, but see, that's this is I'm glad that you called, and I'm glad you had this observation.
What he's talking about, we have a story in the opening segment of the program.
Skip Gates, professor at Harvard, friend of Obama, has a magazine called Root, and there's a an article in the latest issue called How to Survive, Be Safe, and Thrive at a Predominantly White Institution.
And he's talking primarily about colleges and universities.
So Bob here is pointing out that there's no white supremacism at any of these universities.
It's arguable that there ever has been.
This is all part of the black lives matter movement that is meant to take the place of occupy Wall Street and just subsume every leftist cause there is, and bring it under that umbrella and advance it, part of leftist activism in adding the racial component to it, which freezes people.
But you're exactly right.
White supremacy on campus.
You think there's white supremacists acting at Duke, where the lacrosse team was nearly thrown out of school on a bogus charge, and all the false fake charges of rape.
White males are not even going to college anymore because the places are so screwed up and have become so feminized and so liberalized.
So and Gates knows this.
He's just throwing gasoline on the racial fire, or his magazine is, whoever wrote this piece.
White supremacy is code word.
