Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
You know what the biggest joke of all of this is?
The biggest joke they're trying to tell us, hey, nobody knew that the Democrat National Committee had rigged the game for Hillary.
Nobody knew the crazy Bernie supporters didn't know Bernie didn't know.
Come on, everybody, maybe they didn't, but everybody knew this game was rigged from the get-go on the Democrat side before we got the email release of WikiLeaks.
Who would have ever believed that Democrats have come to be defined by secret emails that have been dumped on us?
Emails we were never intended to see.
Greetings, folks, and here we are.
We kick off a brand new week of broadcast excellence and the Democrat National Convention.
And this is a week where I, your beloved host, really earn the money.
Because this is torture.
This is absolutely, they have to watch this, to have to pay close attention to it.
You don't have to.
You can just listen to me each day to find out what happened at the highlights and what to think.
But I got to watch this.
This is not something I can appoint surrogates.
I can't delegate this.
I have to actually watch this stuff.
It is sheer torture.
However, it is looking like it's going to have a little bit more of a fun quotient to it.
I mean, Debbie Blackermouse Schultz gets canned.
And wait till you hear what happened to her at the Florida delegation breakfast today.
This is hilarious.
She's up there bragging about how close she is to Hillary.
What a wonderful conversation that she had with her.
And they're going to all be marching together to victory.
And the whole place is shouting boo and taking her off the stage and shouting, Bernie, Bernie.
And even Bernie Sanders people running around the convention saying, lock her up, lock her up, lock her up.
You know, Trump got the big blame for that.
You know, there's an eight-foot fence around this venue.
They've got a wall.
They build a wall.
They build a fence around the venue to keep undesirables out.
So it has potential.
Here's the telephone number.
If you want in on this, 800-282-2882, the email address, LRushmo at EIBnet.com.
You know how I'm going to get into this email stuff?
I'm going to go back.
We bought some CI Told You Sos, things that I have told you in recent months in the past year and a half.
Things I predicted.
Well, I predict, I knew, I knew these things were going.
I knew the game was rigged against crazy Bernie.
I knew all this was going because I know these people.
I know the left.
I know the Democrats.
I know liberals.
I know how they operate.
And so you'll hear in the CI Told You Sos from weeks, months, and a little over a year and a half ago how I foretold all of this that is in this WikiWeek email document.
It's funny now that the Democrats are running around trying to blame this on the vast right-wing Putin conspiracy.
You know, the important, they want us to believe, hey, it's not what's in these emails that matter.
It's who leaked them.
And that was Putin.
And it's supposedly, we're supposed to believe here that Putin is working with Trump, which would be a horrible, horrible thing, in order to derail the lovely and gracious Hillary.
What's in the emails, of course, not a factor.
Remember here, the nature of the evidence counts not a whit when the Democrats are involved.
But some of this stuff is pretty vicious toward Bernie Sanders.
I mean, mocking his religion, setting up phony Craigslist jobs postings and so forth, ostensibly from the Trump campaign.
The dirty, well, the dirty, the dirty nature of the Democrat Party, the dirty trick nature has been fully exposed.
But here's the thing, folks.
If you read the New York Times and Washington Post and USA Today, you really are not hearing that much about this today.
If you watch CNN, you're hearing a little bit more than you're getting in the New York Times, but you're not hearing this story in its full-fledged impact.
They're covering it up.
They're trying to sweep it aside as nothing to see here.
And of course, they would, because these emails prove that news agencies are in league with the Democrat National Committee.
For example, a political reporter actually submitted stories to the Democrat National Committee for approval before he even sent them to the editor at the website.
They gave approval and advance knowledge of questions to Chelsea Clinton and a number of other Democrats.
It is clear, look, and this we've always known is the point.
This is confirmation for me and not surprise.
This is confirmation because we've always known that the Democrat Party and Drive by Journalism are one and the same thing.
Journalists today are Democrat operatives that have bylines.
They're just deployed at newspapers and TV networks and websites, but they're Democrat hacks.
They're operatives.
That's their objective, is to advance the Democrat Party agenda and to protect Democrats.
And these emails make clear that that happens.
I mean, we've got people at DNC getting a hold of F. Chuck Todd at NBC.
Chuck, we're not really pleased with the angle you're taking there.
We'd like to see you moderate that maybe a little bit.
And Chuck Todd dutifully conforms.
So it's not just a question of bias.
I mean, that clearly exists, but that doesn't explain what's going on.
This is full-fledged compatibility.
People that are on the same size.
Trump got an election convention bounce, and it's a big one, six-point convention bounce.
Now, if you look at the real clear politics average of polls, you don't see six points because those polls, the average of those polls, it consists of a number of days before the convention added to the days of and after the convention.
But if you take out the days leading up to the convention, just look at the polling data that comes from the convention and after it, it's a huge six-point convention bump.
Now, you might say, well, that's no big deal.
I mean, that's no big deal.
Russia, every candidate gets a convention bounce.
That's the thing.
That hasn't been the case in a long time.
And let's go to none other than CNN for the details.
Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary in the race for the White House, topping her 44-39 in a four-way matchup with Gary Johnson and Jill Stein and by three points in a two-way head-to-head.
There hasn't been a significant post-convention bounce in CNN's polling since 2000.
That year, Al Gore and George W. Bush both boosted their numbers by an identical eight points post-convention before battling all the way to the Florida aftermath, the recount eventual Supreme Court decision.
So those bounces wiped themselves out, but at least there were bounces.
There haven't been convention bounces.
There were not.
Obama didn't get one in 2008.
Bush didn't get one in 2004.
Nobody got one in 2004, 2008, or 2012.
So this is the first convention bounce in the CNN poll.
Trump got it since 2000.
And that's CNN.
And this, believe me, don't doubt me on this.
Despite the smiling and the attempts at everything's okay and all is normal that you're seeing from Democrats this week, they're worried.
They are panicked because Trump was supposed to be nowhere near.
Trump was not supposed to be close, much less leading.
Because in the conventional world of politics, Trump was supposed to have imploded or have been exposed as a fraud and a know-nothing long ago.
I mean, you go back three months, six months, the Democrat Party, the thing they were hoping for was Trump to win the nomination.
I mean, they thought that would be a slam dunk because the guy doesn't know what he's doing.
They think he's crazy.
They think his support is thin and that it can be persuaded to abandon him.
They don't know what they're dealing with, but they're getting an idea now that this is not the way it was supposed to be.
Last week, ladies and gentlemen, Nate Silver, the vaunted Nate Silver, formerly of the New York Times, and now of his own website, 538.com.
This is a guy that the Democrats relied on for comfort.
He was their guru during the 2012 presidential campaign.
Nate Silver then was analyzing polls, and that's what he does.
He analyzes polls and then makes percentage predictions based on his unique analysis.
Only Nate Silver does what he does.
So goes the reputation.
Only Nate Silver has super secret ways of analyzing results and making in-depth predictions based on percentage of who's likely to win, not by whatever margin, as other polling units do.
And last week, Nate Silver was telling all the Democrats, don't sweat it.
Right now, we're at Trump at maybe 10 to 15% chance of winning the White House.
Well, for business insider, Nate Silver, Donald Trump would most likely win the election if it were held today.
Remember, Democrats believe this guy.
This guy is an oracle.
If the election were held today, and of course it isn't, but if it were, Donald Trump would likely win.
That's what renowned statistician Nate Silver projected today for his data journalism outlet 538.
In his now-cast election model for who would win if ballots were cast today, Silver gave Trump a 57.5% chance of winning the presidency.
Up from 10%, whatever it was, it was minuscule just a week ago.
Presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton had a 42.5% chance of securing the nation's highest office if voters were taken to the polls, were to take to the polls today.
However, in Silver's polls-only forecast and in his polls-plus forecast, see, that's why this stuff's special.
Nobody else has a polls-only or a polls-plus, but Nate Silver does.
And in his polls-only forecast and his polls-plus forecast, Clinton was still favored to come out on top.
In the polls-only model, Clinton had a 53.7% chance of winning, while in the polls-plus model, Silver gave Clinton a 58.2% chance of winning.
But those numbers are a drastic drop-off from where they recently were.
Hillary used to be around 80%.
Nate Silver tweeted, I don't think people are really grasping how plausible it is that Trump could become president.
It's a close election right now.
So he's trying to warn them.
He's trying to warn the Democrats that things are much worse.
And then there was a USC U.S.Gov survey that was released yesterday, an election forecast.
And this one is a track of this outfit's best estimate over time of how Americans plan to vote in November.
And the upshot is that, well, Trump is way ahead in this, not way ahead, but he's got about a, let's say, an eight-point lead with a 95% confidence level in this poll.
It's just a graph.
It's a graph poll since July 10th through July 23rd.
Point is, it's just, it's a relatively new poll.
The USC Don Zeif LA Times presidential election poll represents a pioneering approach at tracking changes in Americans' opinions through the campaign for the White House.
3,000 respondents are asked questions on a regular basis on what they care about most.
And in this race, it's Trump big.
So again, I'm only mentioning this, ladies and gentlemen, because I have been called a data denier.
I've been blamed by others on our side of the aisle for being in denial of data.
In other words, by not believing polls.
This is something traces back to the Romney Obama campaign of 2012.
Caution, you've got to believe what the data says.
You can't be a data denier.
That's living in a fantasy land.
So I'm just telling you what the data is.
In that CNN poll, by the way, it's always the case, particularly with Trump.
If you go to the internals, it's bad for Hillary.
The end result even now has Trump way up.
But get this.
Hillary Clinton, do you consider her honest and trustworthy?
Yes, 30%.
No, 68%.
That's CNN and just some of the internals, which do not look good for Hillary.
Now we've got this mess coming up, the Democrat National Convention.
And we'll have more on that as it obviously happens and so forth.
But I don't know what, I'm not sure what their frame of mind is because I'm pretty sure they're all panicked and it's going to affect their confidence level.
I think you might be able to see this week the phony confidence that these Democrats are expressing on TV when they're on panel shows or in their speeches.
The bottom line is they all know that there's a whole bunch of Democrats out there that would prefer Bernie and they are making themselves heard.
They are protesting big time.
They're showing up at breakfast delegations in various states.
They are marching outside.
They plan to have some action inside.
Now with the email release, they know what everybody else did, and that is that the Democrat National Committee and Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz, working in consultation with Hillary Clinton, rigged the game against crazy Bernie.
And they are fit to be tied over it.
And the details of how it happened, going after Bernie's religion.
And of course, Hillary was asked about it in 60.
I didn't know.
I didn't know.
Just like she didn't know anything that's in her own emails that were on her own server in Chappaqua.
She didn't know anything about this.
And we got some audio soundbites from Tim Kaine when he runs for office in Virginia.
Her vice presidential.
Well, you would not believe how conservative this guy sounds.
Proving another of my many often-made points that Democrats, in order to win elections, national elections, have to make people think that they are not who they are.
They cannot run as progressives, liberal extremists.
They have to run as centrists or maybe even with a touch of conservatism in national races.
You'll hear Kane.
So there's that and much more.
We'll take our first obscene profit time out and be right back.
Don't go away.
Bernie Sanders supporters all over Philadelphia chanting, lock her up.
Anti-Hillary protests all over the Democrat Party.
Now, keep in mind, we were supposed to get all of that at the Republican convention, too.
There were supposed to be more anti-Trump protests, anti-Republican.
You're going to have Black Lives Matter, new Black Panther Party, media matters for anybody George Soros could buy.
They were going to flood Cleveland.
They're going to swarm Cleveland.
We're going to shut it down.
They're going to shut down the convention.
It didn't happen.
People are wondering why.
Was it the strong show of police that kept people at bay?
Nah.
I don't think that's it.
I think what happened for some reason, whoever pays for that decided to withhold funding.
George Soros is a primary funding source for all of this radical, militant protest, human debris out there.
And they got, I think they were told, for whatever reason, stay away.
Don't know why.
Maybe the money was withheld.
Because it's not because the protesters weren't geared up.
I mean, they're ready to go any day of the week, particularly if you pay them, which all these Democrat protesters are.
But they were able to be kept at bay by somebody.
Now, some people have speculated, no, no, Rush, it was that huge contingent of police, uniformed police.
It was a massive, intimidating thing that the protesters just didn't want any part of.
Maybe, I mean, I would love for that to be one of the reasons.
But I think there were strategic tactical reasons why they were withheld.
And maybe we'll find out in due course.
But the Democrat protests are happening.
And in fact, in one protest near City Hall in Philadelphia, you know, I've made this point constantly.
Here's a Democrat carrying assigned a bunch of Bernie snorters.
America was never great.
We need to overthrow the system.
America was never great.
That says it.
That's exactly who these leftists are, exactly who many in the Democrat Party are.
America was never great.
There is no American exceptionalism.
We don't like this country from the days of the founding in any way.
And that's who they are, folks.
That's what you must always remember.
Okay, we're on the verge of getting to the audio soundbites, a trip back to the grooveyard of forgotten soundbites to make, illustrate how whatever we've learned in this email dump from WikiLeaks that I already knew and told you about.
But before we get to that, you remember one of the themes from last week.
We had the Trump acceptance speech.
That night and the next day, there was total unison Throughout the media, it was dark.
It was foreboding.
It was negative.
It was scary.
Is it not?
Is it not fascinating?
Is it not illustrative how every drive-by media outlet, print, internet, broadcast, radio and television, every one of them use the same exact terms to describe Trump's speech?
Dark, foreboding, scary.
It's just every day they illustrate how they are not news.
But more importantly, they are the ones.
The left owns dark.
The left owns scary.
Those are techniques.
The left has frightened young people to death.
One of the most successful campaigns to scare young people and to keep them in line has been this whole global warming thing.
It is uncanny how many young people, and they've been watching Captain Planet since they were five years old, kindergarten, grade school, junior high, middle school, high school, they have been taught that humanity is destroying the planet.
Their parents and their grandparents, and they've believed it.
And they believe there's not going to be a habitable planet by the time they are 60, 65 years old, maybe even before.
They really believe this.
And if you take time to understand how they have just been smothered with this stuff, you would understand why the Democrats have made it possible.
And this is how, using fear, using darkness, using a never-ending crisis rooted in chaos, they keep these people loyal to big government command and control Democrat-run institutions, all to save the planet.
And it's how they incorporate them.
It's how they recruit them.
You can help us save the planet.
Your parents and previous generations have been in the process of destroying our great climate, ruining the chance for you to have a productive, enjoyable life, blah, blah, blah.
You can fix it.
And of course, how do you fix it?
A, you have to agree with everything.
And B, you sign on, you vote Democrat all the time.
You make sure that Democrats win and you believe in big government and you punish Republicans and that's how it works.
And all of this is rooted in what?
Fear.
And that's why millennials can't handle anything on college campus.
It's why they need their safe spaces.
It's why we joke and call them young little snowflakes.
They really cannot handle any opposition.
They're scared to death.
They have really, really been conditioned to believe that they are going to die because of capitalism and fossil fuels.
It is irrational.
It's not true.
They have been lied to through and through, but with the stakes so high, they have to believe it.
And here's the reason for that long setup is to share with you the next story.
This is how they do it.
Computers will use more electricity than the entire world can generate by 2040, tech experts claim.
Now, this is bogus.
This is bogus in terms of the math, in terms of the science.
It's bogus.
Computers do not use that much power.
Recharging your phones, keeping your computers charged, your iPads, minuscule amount of power.
But take the note of the age.
2040, if you happen to be 18 today, 2040, and that means it's going to start getting worse even before that, 2030, 2035, right in the middle of your peak years, we're going to run out of power.
We're going to run out of electricity.
We're not going to be able to power.
We're not going to be able to play Pokemon Go.
We're not going to be able to, we're not going to be able to watch YouTube.
We're not going to be able to stream Netflix.
Oh, my.
And they're in sheer panic.
And of course, what else do they believe?
They believe that fossil fuel use, which is the only salvation, the only hope we've got of increasing our energy supply is fossil fuel.
They believe that fossil fuels are destroying the planet are going to kill them.
So they want more wind.
They want more solar things that do not work, but now you add to it.
And where's this story run?
It's the UK sun.
It'll spread.
It'll be all over my tech blogs by this afternoon.
I guarantee you 100% agreement.
And then this story will morph into we have to defeat Trump.
Trump's irresponsible.
Republicans are irresponsible.
Conservatives don't care.
They're destroying the planet for profit before we all die, blah, blah, blah.
That's how it'll manifest itself.
The story itself says, modern humans depend on their computers to do everything from ordering food to finding a romantic partner.
But the current digital big bang could end with a disappointing whimper because humanity may be unable to produce enough power to keep computers running.
Experts have warned.
A leading technical organization called the Semiconductor Industry Association has produced a study, probably just as flawed as every one of these global warming models is flawed, which said that computer-crazy society will be running short of electricity by 2040.
It said computing will not be sustainable by 2040 when the energy required for computing will exceed the estimated world's energy production.
This means, of course, that tech firms will have to think of new ways to make computers powerful enough to keep up with demand.
What?
Wait, we need more powerful computers.
Wait, I thought.
Have you ever wondered why they love Elon Musk so much?
They love Elon Musk because they think Elon Musk is a genius at coming up with alternatives to oil and gasoline, fossil fuels.
Yes, his electric car.
What do you think is used to charge the giant batteries in these cars?
It is power plants, electricity fired by coal.
You can't charge an electric car with wind and you can't do it with the sun.
I mean, all of this stuff is just so patently absurd.
But they believe it.
And now you tell them that they're not going to be able to use their computers, that we're not going to have enough electricity.
If this were true, if, if, and it isn't, but if it is, you know what the answer would be?
More fracking.
Guess what?
They hate fracking.
They've been conditioned to believe that fracking causes earthquakes, poisons the groundwater, and basically kills people while enriching big oil.
Now, you want to talk about dark.
You want to talk about scary.
You want to talk about foreboding.
The Democrat Party owns it, and you're going to see it on display at this convention.
You're going to see every hand-wringing whine and moan there is about poverty, about injustice, about discrimination.
Everything they've got a grievance.
Now you're going to see it portrayed.
You're going to, for a, Hillary Clinton's out there telling the VFW she doesn't like hearing people downtalk this country.
She doesn't like, well, guess what, Hillary?
That's what your party has made their bones on.
The Democrat Party does nothing but rip this country to sheds and tell us we all now must participate in the new normal, which is a decline, a decline in standards of living, a decline in economic output, a decline in progressive technology advancement.
We just have to realize that we can't be the superpower that we once were.
But you watch, if you watch this convention, you're going to hear a never-ending parade of every wacko minority group you have ever heard of, and then some whining and moaning about how unfair and unjust.
Despite the fact they're winning everything, they are succeeding in corrupting so much of our culture, and yet they're not happy.
This is a party that ought to be happy this week.
They had two terms of Barack Hussein Obama.
They got pretty much everything Obama wanted.
They got national universal health care.
They got the dissolution of the U.S. military while deploying it in more places where it's not winning.
I mean, they love that.
The left loves a military unsuccessful because an unsuccessful military argues for doing away with it.
They've gotten everything they want.
Well, they lost the House and the Senate, evil Republicans, but they've gotten policy-wise.
They've gotten all this spending.
They got Santa Claus from the federal government.
Every 94 million Americans not working, but they're eating, and yet they're not happy.
And they are, by the way, constitutionally incapable of happiness.
As progressives, as liberals, they can't be.
They don't smile.
They don't know how to be happy.
They're uncomfortable being happy because they feel guilty.
How can we be happy when there's so much suffering in the world, when there's so much misery out there, largely caused by the United States debut?
How can we be so?
Well, they're never happy.
So you're going to see dark.
You're going to see pessimism.
And you just keep in mind as you watch this convention, everything complained about.
And they'll try their uplifting stuff.
They'll try to be positive about Obama and his accomplishments and achievements.
but they're going to be ultimately exhibiting who they really are.
The negative and the pessimism will triumph at this convention.
And you will see how dark and foreboding they are and what all that really is.
And you will hear them try to scare their younger voters.
Who knows what we're going to hear on climate change and all this other stuff.
Well, not only, by the way, I should add, not only are computers going to use more electricity than the entire world can generate by 2040.
Do you hear about John Kerry, who served in Vietnam?
Here's another one.
Air conditioners are as big a threat as ISIS.
Air conditioning is as big a threat as ISIS.
That's deranged.
That is delusional.
It's dangerously delusional because young people believe this crap.
They believe this garbage.
If it has to do with climate change, if it has to do with the world ending, if it has to do with lifestyles evaporating, they'll believe it.
That's how they've been raised.
That's what they've been pummeled with from the earliest points in their life.
Are they able to comprehend anything?
So you think John Kerry is an idiot?
No, he's not an idiot.
He's advancing the agenda.
Air conditioners as big a threat as ISIS.
They're pushing this climate change biz because that's the single greatest power grab next up.
They got all the power they wanted from Obamacare.
The next big power grab is climate change.
That's globalist power.
That's massive tax increases on carbon.
That is massive alteration of lifestyle.
That's anti-progress.
That's making everybody poorer.
But more importantly, it's putting these people in charge of the world under the guise that only they can save it because we, the citizens of the world, are too stupid to conserve.
We are too stupid to live responsibly.
We are responsible for the waste.
We are responsible for the destruction.
And the world's leaders need to come together and save the planet from us.
And young Democrats are checking off every box.
Yep, agree with that.
Agree with that.
That's why I harp on climate change so much, because it's propaganda for something that the supporters have no idea they're really being conditioned to support.
And this, air conditioners, as big a threat as ISIS, and not enough power to run your computers by 2040, so no Netflix, no Pokemon Go, no whatever by 2040.
Oh my God, you talk about panic, dark, negative, scaremongering, and fury.
And this, we haven't even gotten to the official gaveling of this convention yet.
All right, I'm going to get to the calls here, start on the phone in just a second.
But there's one more observation I want to make about this story.
Computers will use more electricity than the entire world can generate by 2040, tech experts claim.
So that makes it gospel.
People to read its gospel.
And what does this story assume for it to come true?
It assumes that we, the American people, are just going to sit here like bumps on a log.
We are just dumb idiots and we're just going to sit here.
And this is just going to happen.
There isn't going to be any more tech evolution.
There isn't going to be any more advancement.
There isn't going to be any more improvement.
There isn't going to be anything to change.
We're just bumps on the log.
We're just sitting here.
This is the static analysis.
The story doesn't factor the continued innovation that's going to be taking.
The innovation happening in the tech world is happening so fast people can't keep up with it.
Manufacturers can't push out new tech fast enough to satisfy the craving of a tech-savvy public.
And yet all of a sudden, in 2040, we're going to run out of electricity to use our computers.
That's like saying General Motors is going to sit around and continue to make cars while we run out of oil.
It's just idiocy.
But the thing is, it's a seductive headline.
And young skulls full of mush who think they're brilliant, who think they know everything, are going to eat it up because they love crisis.
They love pessimism.
They love this kind of, it gets them energized.
And I'm just sick of the lies.
I'm so sick of this kind of distortion, this lying to people, this purposeful, constant effort to drum pessimism and negativism into people for the advancement of a political party's agenda.
And that's what we're up against every day here.
And it's a new thing.
We wake up every day and there's some new assault.
And we have to, if we're serious and care, have to mount a defense too.
Let me grab a call before time runs out.
It's John in Detroit.
Great to have you, sir.
Hi.
Rush, honored to talk to you.
Let me run by you what I do.
I teach college chemistry at the University in Ohio, and I have been against global warming for the past 15 years.
Once I saw it in the textbooks that I was forced to teach it, I said no.
So I spend about 20 minutes in a semester on the anti-global warming, and my angle is because you don't have the raw data.
And I tell my students, until you have the raw data, you can't believe anything.
And there isn't any.
It's all computer math.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So what I do is I take, I took every barrel of oil harvested since 1900.
I'm a chemistry professor, okay?
If every barrel of oil was converted to octane and then octane was burned to CO2 and water, how much CO2 maximum could you have in the atmosphere?
Maximum.
The change in it.
0.12%.
So I said, that's the maximum you can have.
But I said, what you don't realize is the plants absorb it.
And I teach chemistry and I teach biochemistry and I tell them that.
So I said, it can't go any higher than this and it's going to be absorbed by the plants anyway.
Here's the problem, though, that you're encountering.
And this is, I've had to tell a number of conservative climate scientists this.
You're responding in a, I mean, you're got truth on your side.
You're responding with the science.
But the science is not what is making people believe this crap.
Politics is.
