Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Greetings, my friends.
Great to be back.
Here we are on Hump Day in the middle of the week.
For those of you newly rendered part-time workers via Obama's health care plan.
It used to be Hump Day, but now you don't even have a hump day.
You're just screwed.
Or some of you may enjoy it.
You see these new Obama ads, speaking of being screwed.
You see the new Obamacare ads are promoting promiscuity.
They're promoting it.
Colorado is uh is where some of these ads are targeting millennials.
Greetings, folks.
Great to have you here on the Rush Limbaugh program.
The telephone number 800 28282 and the uh email address, L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
Let me turn the dental cam off here for a second because I'm gonna have to.
I'm gonna have to zoom in.
I should have done this before the program started, but I wasn't gonna talk about this now.
I don't know what happened.
Close enough.
Let me get a little tighter.
Hang on, be patient.
I know some of you don't have a dental cam and don't care about this, but for those who do, all right.
Now, yeah, I you you all may remember this.
There was there was a controversy about a year and a half ago.
Some guy got in uh real big trouble.
There was a there was a woman out there that was made to look like she was testifying before a congressional committee.
She wasn't, it was uh it was a it was a press, sort of a PR deal with members of Congress, made to look like they were conducting hearings, and there was this student, this 35-year-old student from Georgetown who was complaining that for as often as she had sex,
birth control pills were costing her like what was it, $3,000 a month or some such thing, and she wanted relief from this.
Uh she wanted the regime, she wanted Obamacare to pay for her contraception.
She wanted Obamacare to pay for her birth control pills.
And there was some guy that reacted to this trying to have fun with it by characterizing the kind of behavior that the woman might have been engaged in, such as promiscuity.
And it it turns out that uh the guy that had used the he used a word he didn't mean to use.
He meant to use promiscuity, and it caused a lot of people to freak out and so forth.
It's about a year and a half ago, but lo and behold, folks, every time even when I screw up, I get it right.
Even when because that's exactly what happened.
I'm gonna show you now, I'm gonna turn on the ditto cam.
The Obama when I first saw this, somebody sent me this yesterday.
This is a joke.
I thought this was an onion satire type joke, and I was prepared not to use this, and then I found out there's 10 or 12 different ads for every kind of behavior that is um well, basically irresponsible.
And it's promoting this.
These ads are promoting this irresponsible behavior and assuring you that you'll be okay if you engage in this irresponsible behavior if you get insurance.
The ads are designed to convince young people, millennials, to go sign up for Obamacare.
Now, here's the first ad, and it's it's a uh for those of you that that don't have a ditto cam here and can't see it.
By the way, you get the Ditto Cam at Rush Limbaugh.com if you become a subscribing member.
You get so much, by the way, if you subscribe, not just the Ditto Cam.
You get an encyclopedic website.
But more on that later.
You also get the Ditto Cam where you can watch this program take place each and every day.
And I'm gonna hold up this ad.
And like all of these ads, like I say there's uh maybe 12 of these, they're all titled Got Insurance.
Now, this ad, for those of you who can't see it, we've got a millennial couple.
Um a young woman in jeans and heels in a sleeveless scanty top.
Smiling.
She's she's uh what color hair?
Is that is that dishwater blonde hair is that uh tricolor auburn.
Well, I guess it depends on how it prints out for you.
Um her mouth is wide open.
She's smiling like she can't wait.
Their mouth is wide open.
She dirty blonde.
Okay.
That's okay.
Dishwater, dirty blonde.
That's the color of the woman's hair.
And and her mouth is wide open and she's smiling like she's anticipating something.
She can't wait, folks.
That mouth is wide open.
If you get my drift, the mouth is wide open.
She can't wait, and she's holding in her hand proudly and happily, some birth control pills in the container they come from from the pharmacy.
Next to her, and her name is Susie.
Next to her is a guy named Nate.
And Nate is a classic hipster.
He looks like he's also wearing jeans, a gray, long-sleeve shirt untucked with a sport coat, his left hand in his left pocket, which is suggestively close to the pubic area.
If I You know, we've got young children listening to the program now because of Rush Revere and the bridge.
I gotta be careful here.
Um, and while Susie's mouth is wide open in eager anticipation, holding her birth control pills.
Nate here has this grin on his face, like he knows what's coming when we stop looking at the ad.
When he gets her off of this piece of paper and where he wants it, we know what's gonna happen.
All right, now here's the copy.
Got insurance.
Let's get physical.
Oh my god, is he hot?
Let's hope he's as easy to get as this birth control was.
My health insurance covers the pill, which means all I have to worry about is getting him between the covers.
I got insurance, and now you can too, thanks Obamacare.
And then at the bottom, there's an asterisk.
The pill does not protect you from STDs.
Condoms and common sense do that.
All right, now here's the ad.
I'm gonna turn a ditto cam on.
You've heard me read the text.
There is the ad.
That ad is promoting promiscuity.
That ad is associating promiscuity with Obamacare.
Obamacare will get you your birth control pill so you can get him and you can get her.
And you can get them between the covers.
Each other between the covers.
You don't have to worry about anything because Obamacare's got you covered because you got insurance.
Show you this one more time.
I have to pull this down because I've got the ditto cam really focused in.
And I just, when I think back, when I, ladies and gentlemen, predicted, I warned everybody that's where this was headed.
This is exactly what that I forget that woman's name now, snerdly, the one that was in that fake congressional hearing press conference.
But she was asking, she was she was sitting there and she was basically saying, Look, I want to have lend limitless, endless sex, I want you to pay for it.
And it's costing me $3,000 a month for my birth control, but I can't afford that with my tuition and everything else, and I want you all to pay for it.
And I was like any any, I think normal, responsible person, I was insulted by this.
That we were here being told we have to pay for this.
Which is behavior we don't sanction, we don't think there's anything good can come of it.
You know what this is like, folks?
I remember back in the 1990s when the schools started teaching young people in Scrual and Junior High School how to use condoms as part of the sex education curriculum.
And it it got to the point where even parents were offering their teenage children spare bedrooms in the house to have sex with their boyfriends and girlfriends because the car was too dirty, one woman caller told me.
And at least in the house, they knew it would be clean.
And I said, Well, you know, this is the theory was you couldn't stop them from having sex.
They're gonna do it, Rush.
You can't stop them.
So we may as well try to teach them safe sex.
I said, okay, well, you're gonna include the cigarettes on the nightstand for the post-coitus ritual.
Uh Well, coitus is okay, because they'll have to ask their parents what that is, and the parents can worm their way out of that one.
No, the parents of this show do know.
What is it?
Low information, coitus, what that?
Never heard that.
Got insurance.
They'll still sleep anyway.
The lower information crowd's still sleeping.
They haven't gone up and turned on Instagram and Yahoo yet to figure out what's going on in the world.
So this, and this is just one of them.
But honest to God, folks, this this let me read to you again.
Oh my God, is he hot?
Let's get physical.
Let's hope he's as easy to get as this birth control.
My health insurance covers the pill, which means all I have to worry about is getting him between the covers.
I got insurance.
So here's an ad aimed at millennials telling them all they got to do is go sign up insurance, and they get all the Obamacare contraception they want free.
And then all they have to do is worry about getting betwixt and between the sheets.
Now these ads, you know what's incumbent in an ad campaign like this is the assumption, and some of you may think that this is smart marketing.
The assumption here is that these young people are irresponsible, they're unserious, their only interest, and by the way, the other ads, including drinking shots, guzzling out of kegs, partying, hooking up, um working out at the gym and losing your while drinking wine, uh, two women working out at the gym, drinking wine, making making plans.
Oh, they're look at uh there's listen, I haven't seen the young black butcher, so I don't know what that is.
Um, but uh there's club men.
Oh, no, that's not the only the only one when I see with a black kid in the ads carrying a bag of golf clubs.
I I don't uh I don't I don't uh I don't see that, but I mean, folks, uh they're just there it's uh there's even one for painkillers.
Three looks like female uh rollerbladers.
And it what this is, obviously, this the implication here is that millennials can be bought by promising them free access to all of this irresponsible behavior.
Irresponsible, unserious behavior, that all they care about, the only thing young people care about, and maybe this is true since they can't find work, that all they care about is drinking shots, guzzling out of kegs, partying, hooking up, drinking wine at the gym, taking risks and being irresponsible in general.
But then they're assuming that these same irresponsible, sibaritic, hedonistic, worthless, irresponsible kids are nevertheless responsible enough to seek out insurance at the Obamacare Exchange.
It's a totally mixed message.
And I just I can't help but think back to that that uh two-week period of massive controversy.
Here it is.
Here it is, it is come to life, brought to you by the Obama administration, actually promoting promiscuity, encouraging it, by saying, we'll give you what you need to make sure there are no consequences to your actions.
Just sign up for Obamacare, and there's no consequences to whatever you do because if it involves health, we got you covered.
That's the message they're sending out.
Let's take a brief time out.
Don't go away.
How did I know?
Um that one was easy.
That was T ball.
That didn't take any particular special analysis or analytical ability.
I mean, you see a woman up there complaining about her birth control pills and begging to have it all covered no matter how much activity she engages in.
What do you think's going on?
And the, and here's the regime right in there, because you know, what whatever kind of behavior they end up causing in people.
I don't care about this.
Standards, morality, comportment, decency, none of that matters.
Whatsoever.
Anyway, gotta take a break.
Sit tight, coming back much more after this, so don't go away.
Now let me give you a little irony about this, folks, just to show you the kind of people we're dealing with.
We've got as activist leftists, people like Michael Doomberg, right?
Who is telling you how to eat and behave for ostensibly your own benefit, right?
I mean, this is why they tell you to do these things, because they care about you.
They are looking out for you.
You don't know how to make the right choices in your life.
You're not competent, you're not capable.
Left your own devices, you'll end up being a fat pig with a type 2 diabetes by age 12, and they don't want that to happen because they love you.
So they're going to limit how much coke you can drink and how much trans fat you can eat and all that sort of stuff.
At Michelle Obama's the same way.
Michelle Obama's out there dictating the lunch menu at various public schools and uh encouraging people to get active and be physically fit and all this.
Why, so that you'll make the right decisions in life.
In their view, so that you will grow up to be a wholesome, healthy, robotic Democrat voting citizen.
And while they do all, and they said don't smoke and don't do drugs except for marijuana, uh, and and don't eat too much and make sure you get the right kind of exercise.
And these people, they really out there, they're trying to make you think that they really care about you.
And that they are dictating behavioral standards for your benefit.
And then, after they do all that, in order you to get, in order to get you to sign up for their health care plan, they then suggest to you that it's okay to go pretend to be a mink to have sex as often as you want.
Don't worry about it.
It's perfectly fine because our health insurance plan is going to make sure that there are no consequences.
Now, how on one hand can you believe that these people are looking out for you?
They care for you.
They really want the best for you.
Make sure you can't eat or drink those bad things for you.
You can't uh you can't drive certain kinds of cars, you can't uh uh eat certain kinds of foods, all of this stuff.
But then when it comes to sex, there aren't any limits at all.
You do whatever you want to do.
There's no right or wrong there, whatever you want to do, and we'll take care of the consequences for you.
It's sort of a contradiction, is it not?
And what it what it illustrates to me is they don't really, as I've tried to point out during the course of the busy broadcast week, government does not care.
Government can't care.
What government does is coerce.
There's a there's another uh ad promoting promiscuous sex.
Susie and Nate are not alone here.
There's another ad featuring Allie and uh it looks like a uh Ryan Gosling looking character, cardboard cutout of the actor Ryan Gosling.
And Allie is holding her birth control with the caption, hey girl, you're excited about easy access to birth control, and I'm excited about getting to know you.
She got insurance.
Now you can too.
Thanks, Obamacare.
They're out promoting it.
They are promoting promiscuity.
They're selling it.
And they're doing so without consequences.
And the no consequences are wrapped right up in contraception and birth control pills, which we here at the regime will happily and eagerly provide for you free.
By the way, folks, that's just one of the reasons why you can't hold on to the insurance you had, because now you have to have a policy that buys these promiscuous millennials their birth control and their contraception.
And I'm not making it up.
That's why you can't keep your plan.
It's one of the many reasons, but it's why you can't.
Because every policy now, you whether this fits you or not, you've got to pay for everybody else's contraception.
You have to pay for their birth control.
Somebody's got to pay for it.
And these millennials are being told that they're not.
And it's just one of the many reasons you can't keep your policy.
It's one of the many reasons why you were never going to be able to keep your policy.
Is because every policy is now required to cover things like this.
And by the way, this constitutes a change.
And Obama said, well, I said you could keep it if your insurance company didn't change your plan.
But those evil, rotten, mean insurance companies, they came around and changed your plan.
They didn't.
They were mandated to.
They were required to change their plans because they were told they had to offer this kind of crap in it.
And that's why, among many other reasons, you've lost the plan and doctor that you liked.
Now here's the thing, folks.
These millennials are being lied to.
They are being told, I mean, it's it's in the ad the implication that this is free.
I mean, that's what that whole fake congressional hearing press conference was all about.
It's creating the idea that all your birth control, all your contraception is free.
The fuddy duddies are going to be paying for that.
And you millennials who fall for this, you have no idea what's out of your way.
Wait until you find out how much your free birth control pills are going to cost you.
When your rates triple and your deductibles go through the roof.
And what the regime is doing here, basically, what these ads are really promising, if you like your risky, promiscuous lifestyle, you can keep it.
That's what Obama's promising.
If you like being promiscuous, you can keep on being promiscuous.
If you like being a prostitute, then have at it.
You like your risky, promiscuous lifestyle, you can keep it.
That's what Obama is promising in these ads.
Let me go to Pittsburgh.
Kevin is going to grab you first here on the program today.
Welcome and great to have you with us.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
Great to talk to you again.
You know, my daughter is the most important thing to me in the world.
I would do anything.
I would stop my life for my daughter.
I wonder how Obama, dirty hairy, nasty Pelosi.
How would these people like it if we targeted their daughters in this ad?
And that's what they're doing.
My daughter's a millennial kid.
How would they feel if we use their daughters as a target?
Well, you know, in a sense, they are.
I mean, their kids uh are gonna see these ads.
Dingy Harry's sons, who helped him in the fraudulent land deals in uh Nevada and California, they're gonna see the ads.
I don't know about Obama's daughters, they're they're somewhat young, but I mean they're they don't care.
They don't care.
Now, if you specifically targeted them, I think they would react as normal parents.
How old is your daughter?
He dropped.
And I must have had a bad cell connection.
Um but I I think folks, here's here the truth is Obama doesn't know about these ads.
Don't forget, Obama doesn't know about this.
No, no, no, no.
No matter what happens, he doesn't know about this.
And when he finds out about it, boy, she could be stoking mad.
I guarantee you.
When he finds out about these ads, he's gonna go out there, he's gonna call a press conference, and he's gonna be talking about these that this is the kind of thing that happens when the Republicans shut down the government and have this constant friction and and and no bipartisanship.
This is the kind of stuff that you get.
And he abhors it, and then and so he's not gonna know anything about it.
He'll approve the TV versions for next week, uh, but he won't know anything about that either.
He doesn't know anything about any of this.
Now, I'm not kidding when when I say those of you who think that you're gonna be getting all this no consequential, or better stated, who think you're gonna be getting insurance that that provides you free, no consequences to a promiscuous lifestyle.
You have another thing coming.
Betsy McCoy, who's one of the ranking analysts of socialist medicine, socialized medicine, be it Hillary Care or Obamacare has a piece that I think it's an investors.com, the old investors business daily.
And headline to piece is you think Obamacare is bad now, it gets worse next year.
Okay, now what gets worse next year?
Well, here's how she starts the piece.
Backpedaling on his promise that if you like your plan, you can keep your plan.
Obama is now telling Americans another whopper.
The insurance they can get on Obamacare exchanges is a better deal.
Substandard and cut rate is what Obama calls the health plans that millions have lost, even though they wanted to keep them.
Don't believe him.
On the exchanges, you may no longer be able to use the doctors in the hospitals you prefer.
Many exchange plans exclude the top drawer academic hospitals like Caesar's Sinai in Los Angeles, the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and New York Presbyterian in New York City.
Instead, the law says that exchange plans must cover care at essential community providers that serve predominantly low-income medically underserved individuals.
That's from the law itself.
What that means is that clinics, public hospitals, and hospitals largely serving the Medicaid community is where the majority of exchange plans will work.
You do not get the top drawer hospitals and clinics.
Those are reserved for people who will pay out of their pocket and will not have insurance.
But the president claims that people losing their health plans and having to sign up on the exchanges will be getting a better deal.
And he is.
And that's what Jay Carney was trying to say yesterday as they continue to lie about that.
I mean, it's just – It's astounding.
They are compounding their one lie with another.
I mean, they're just continuing to tell lies here.
And I think they sent Carney out to say yesterday.
Well, of course, the president doesn't like what's going on here.
He doesn't like these substandard plans that people had.
And what really is what's going to happen here is that people later when they lose their plan to sign up, they're going to get a better deal.
And who's who's opposed to that?
So here's what they're defining as getting a better deal.
Losing your doctor, losing your existing plan that you liked, now having to shop blind on a website that doesn't work for a health plan, settling for Medicaid level care and government controls at underserved hospitals and clinics, all for a premium that's on average 41% higher than what you were paying, that somehow is a better deal.
But and here is the piece desistance.
Wait until the other shoe drops in 2014.
You know what that other shoe to drop is?
All we're talking about now is people who are losing individual insurance.
Meaning you have gone to an insurance company and bought an individual policy, and you may be lumped in with another group.
But right now, that's the only thing affected is individual policies.
And nevertheless, even though that limited number of people is affected, that limited number of people is causing all of this havoc.
The other shoe to drop in 2014 is when this same thing starts happening to people who get their health care at work.
We're not talking about employer-provided coverage here yet.
That shoe doesn't drop until next year.
Right now, it's just the individual insurance market that's being affected by the exchanges.
It's just the individuals who are unable to keep the plan they like.
Wait until everybody who is insured by their boss begins to lose their plan.
Which that happens in January of next year.
Then all hell is going to break loose because then we're talking about the vast majority of the people in this country.
Admittedly, folks, the individual insurance market is not the major part of it.
I mean, how many of you, let me just X uh ask you the question.
How many of you have a health insurance policy or had that you went out and bought yourself?
Shaw hands, let me see.
Probably two out of ten people.
The vast majority of people get their health insurance at work.
And none of this, they haven't lost their plans yet.
They haven't had their plans taken away from them.
Their premiums and all that stuff hasn't gone up yet.
That doesn't happen in the employer provided market until January.
Now wait until 80% of people with health insurance start being impacted by Obamacare.
And it's going to make what's look what's happening now look like romper room.
So if you get your insurance at work as an employee benefit, none of what's being discussed here really has impacted you yet.
About the only way it has is maybe you've been converted to part-time.
You may have lost your health insurance at work because your company can't stay in business with the new rules.
But for those of you who still get health insurance at work, and by the way, if there's one exception, we talked about it yesterday.
If your company is self-insured, none of this is gonna matter to you until they get around to fixing it so that you do get hurt by it.
Right now, the self-insured market is not impacted by any of this.
There aren't any rules or restrictions in the self-insured market.
And again, the self-insured market is when your boss, your company, just pays for your health care directly without an insurance policy.
They set aside the same amount of money to insure everybody that works there.
An employee goes to the doctor, has to get an operation, company pays the hospital directly, the doctor directly, not an insurance company.
That's called self-insure.
And Obamacare doesn't touch them.
Republicans got a carve out for that.
Now the Democrats are trying to fix that.
Now, so the only way that you who have your insurance through your boss will not be impacted in January is if your company self-insures.
And I don't know how many it is.
But the point is that Betsy McCoy's making is that right now we're just talking about the individual insurance market.
And let's face it, the percentage of Americans who go out and buy their own health insurance like they buy hotel rooms is tiny.
Most people are insured at work.
Wait till they start losing their policies.
Wait till they lose their plans that they like.
Wait till they start losing.
We're talking tons and tons of people.
Then that's the other shoot or drop in 2014.
Nobody's brought it up yet.
I just want you to have a heads up.
Back after this.
Don't go away.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have rush limbaugh, the EIB network.
One more thing about this ad that I showed you on the Ditto Cam.
If you'll notice in that ad, I'm sure you'll see it and you'll find it now.
And it's probably, I'm sure Coco already has that ad and all the others linked.
I'm sure Coco's got that done by now at uh at rushlimbaug.com.
You'll notice that in the ad, it is the young woman who is the aggressor, Dawn.
Something you would never do.
It's the young woman who is the sex aggressor.
She is the one who hopes that the guy is easy.
She's the one with her mouth wide open, holding a birth control pill saying she can't wait to get the dude between the covers.
The woman.
This is the cultural change reflected in the in the ads.
The guy is just this smiling brain dead dupe waiting there to be coerced in disservicing the sexually aggressive woman in the ad.
And the way she's gonna get the guy is to show him her free Obamacare birth control pills.
That's her come on.
The guy is the sex object, and the woman is the aggressor.
This no, he he will not get breakfast and he won't be respected in the morning.
He won't even finish the night.
The guy doesn't know it, but he's gone as soon as the service is over with.
You're not gonna wake up with the guy.
That didn't gonna happen.
Here's uh here's Jared Roland Heights, California.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hi.
Hey, thanks, Rush.
Longtime listener, first-time caller.
Thank you, sir.
Just want to make a quick comment that all of these behaviors that they're demonstrating in the ads uh will only increase the health costs later on and drive up premiums, which is what they don't want.
Uh the what health costs later.
Well, if you look at drinking, they'll make uh liver cancer, smoking will give you a give you sexually transmitted diseases.
Actually, it's a cancer.
He's right, it's a great point.
The behaviors that are being promoted do have serious consequences above and beyond pregnancy.
Possible STDs, uh all the other and not to mention, can I can I be brave and mention something else here?
I will tell you there will be psychological issues.
If if if people take this and behave as though there's no consequence to this kind of behavior, and they go there they're gonna be messed up at some point.
Nothing's gonna be real to them.
Nothing is gonna end up having any meaning.
There's going to be post-traumatic stress, what whatever there are going to be psychological issues that will require therapy.
The kind of activity here being promoted.
No question about it.
There's a reason this stuff is stigmatized in in culture as being not good for people.
There's a reason for it.
And this regime has come along and thrown them out all the way and is trying to make these young people think this is where it's at now.
Do whatever you want.
There are no consequences as long as you got Obamacare, we'll handle it for you.
Here's uh here's Lucy Columbus Ohio.
Hi, Lucy, great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hi.
Hi, how are you?
Hey, I wanted to make a comment.
I have a comment about the health care ads, but um I was telling um uh Mr. Surley about my daughter, or I bought Rush Revere for her.
I ordered it through Amazon, and she I was telling her about it, sort of setting it up, and she must have asked me every day if it's here yet.
Is it here yet?
Um when it came, I took it to school, I gave it to her, she's uh 10, and I handed it to her.
She was so excited, she started reading it right away in the back seat.
And I let her read for about 15 minutes, and I kept looking in the review mirror, and she had the biggest smile on her face at about five minutes in.
And I kept saying, you know, Elise, what what's going on?
Is it a good book?
At least, and she did not hear a thing I said.
She was so engrossed in the book, and I just want to thank you for having that book for her.
She she kept asking me, is there gonna be more?
And I six-year-old kept saying, Well, what's it say?
What's it say?
Because obviously you can't read.
And she's like, I'll tell you later.
So I just want to thank you for the book, and it's very exciting for these little ones to experience history this way.
Uh Lucy, uh, love you.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You are you you're you're uh people like you are convincing me that this was a worthwhile thing to do.
The feedback on this, I've I've printed out some fan mail that we're getting, and there are uh a lot of parents like you are saying they're kids who normally don't like reading or don't like history, just absolutely love this, and you all are making my day.
I I can't uh I I can't tell you how how pleased and and happy That all of us that have worked on this book are when we uh get feedback such as yours.
I mean the idea that that uh your daughter's Elise, did you say?
Elise, yes.
