Great to have you here, folks, as always.
And I am your guiding light, Rush Limbaugh.
Here at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, telephone number 800-282-288-2.
And the email address, Lrushbo at EIB net.com.
Have soundbites 9 and 10 standing by, Mike.
One thing that uh ladies and gentlemen on this um uh Todd Aiken business.
We've had a couple calls from Missouri today from people who support Aiken and want him to stay in.
And one of them, uh a lady from Lake of the Ozarks made the point that she doesn't want the Republican establishment weighing in on this and forcing out somebody who won an election and replacing them with one of their own establishment candidates.
Uh and she knows, I think, even she acknowledged that that Claire McCaskill and the Democrats did what they could to secure Aiken as the Republican that they would face, that McCaskill would face, because they think that they'll be able to tar and feather Aiken as this right wing kook pro-lifer.
And remember, they all think that every Republican and conservative is a right wing kook and pro-lifer.
And they think that's a winning ticket for them.
Now, those of you out there who are supportive of Aiken, I want you to understand something, at least for me, uh uh speaking for myself here.
Those who are hoping that Aiken sees the light and withdraws, this is not about abortion.
It's it's not no I uh I'll just speak for myself here.
Hoping that he decides to step aside here has nothing to do, as far as I'm concerned, with his views on abortion.
I don't know about other people in this.
But as far as I'm concerned, that's that's not the problematic thing for me regarding Mr. Aiken.
And it's not a desire on my part to have social issues not be part of a campaign.
I'm not afraid of social issues being part of a campaign.
Jeff Bell wrote a book.
We've talked about the book on this program.
Social issues actually have been factors in Republican victories.
And it's uh it's it he documented it with um uh polling data, election data and results.
This is not about that to me.
This is about something entirely different, and that is qualifications and this was an absolutely ridiculous thing to say.
To start qualifying rape in any way legitimate, I know he apologized for it, but that it it's still an indication that there's more there that could potentially bubble up that we could be harmful.
This is to me, this is all about saving the country.
This is this is all about being bigger than any one person.
This is about winning the White House.
This is about winning the Senate and holding the House of Representatives.
This is about the future of the country and what kind of country it's going to be.
I need people that can win elections and then do the right thing afterwards.
I don't want a Joe Biden on our side.
And the Democrats, uh, ladies and gentlemen, you you go out, you say stupid things, you become vice president on the on the uh on the Democrat side.
We don't need any unforced errors.
We have to play it so close to the vest.
There is a double standard, and yep, it's unfair, but it exists, and it's something that we have to acknowledge.
Now there's a right way to deal with it, and there's a wrong way to deal with it.
You can't run from it, you can't whine about it, you can't cry about it.
And you do have to stand up for yourself.
There's some people, uh, I've gotten emails from people say, Rush, I like this.
This is this guy standing up to his maca moment.
George Allen should have stood up to his maca moment.
Aiken standing up to this.
Finally, Aiken is saying to Hellwood, I'm not going to be macacin.
I don't think that's what Aiken's doing.
I mean, you might want to transfer that aspect of what he's done.
I don't get that sense.
But I'm I just want to share with I'm getting emails of that regard.
But as far for those of you who support Aiken, I just want you to know abortion has nothing to do with this.
And I think most people who are hoping that he pulls out, it is nothing to do with uh abortion or wanting to repudiate social issues or social conservatism at all.
Speaking for myself, just uh just so you know.
Do you hear about so we're talking about stupid things that people say and maybe stupid people.
Mayor Doomberg of New York said last week that the federal government should assign immigrants to live in cities like Detroit, and if they survive seven years, then make them citizens.
He said all the federal government's got to do is say we're gonna welcome you here in this country, first come, first serve families.
If you're willing to come here under the following terms.
Bloomberg was in Boston.
It was August 14th, he said this.
We're gonna assign you a city.
Let's say Detroit.
You got to agree to not be arrested and not take any federal, state, or city money, and you gotta live there for seven years.
And if you survive seven years in Detroit, we will make you and your family full citizens.
Honest to God, he said it.
Now, is anybody suggesting get this guy out of there?
It's Cybercast News Service.
Make immigrants live in Detroit if they survive seven years, make them citizens.
The mayor of New York City said that.
And I don't recall this is now the he said this back on August the uh 14th.
He was in Boston when he said it.
It's a week ago that he said, and I'm not aware of anybody saying, Oh my god.
Oh, geez, this guy's a republic.
Oh my god, is he embarrassing us?
Oh, geez.
Oh, we gotta get rid of Bloomberg.
I don't even think anybody in Detroit said that.
How would you like to be the mayor of Detroit, Dave Bing, and you get up and the mayor of New York says, hey, all you illegals, we're gonna send you to Detroit.
You survived seven years there, not taking any federal or state money, and you qualify for citizenship.
This this guy needs to be moved into the Joe Biden Memorial Insanity Clinic.
And there is going to be one of those if this keeps up.
We're gonna need a home for insane, ludicrous, dumb politicians.
Name it after Biden.
Speaking of Biden, let's go back.
Let's turn back the hands of time.
Let's go back to the grooveyard of forgotten favorites to our audio archives, October 12th, 2011 in Flint, Michigan, at the downtown fire department.
Here was Vice President Bite Me.
In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on the police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city.
In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65, and rapes, just to pick two categories, climbed to 229.
In 2011, you now only have 125 SHIELS.
God only knows what the numbers will be this year for Flint if we don't rectify it.
And God only knows what that number would have been had we not been able to get a little bit of help to you.
So last year, our esteemed vice president made an outrageous remark about rape, blaming it on Republicans.
And somehow this did not damage the Democrat brand.
Todd Aiken is destroying the Democrat brand, right?
That's a Republican brand.
Biden, they never say, oh, that's old Joe.
It's just Joe.
Now, I know there's some Democrats who wish Biden would be sent packing, but they are few, and they are not afforded a big soapbox.
That was October 12th.
On October 18th, Biden went to Philadelphia.
University of Pennsylvania, after a round table with police chiefs from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
He was discussing the impact of budget cuts on their ability to effectively police their communities.
And he was talking about the American Jobs Act, and Biden said it again.
Let me tell you, it's not temporary when that 911 call comes in and a woman's being raped if a cop shows up in time to prevent the rape.
It's not temporary to that woman.
It's not temporary to the guy whose stores being held up and has a gun pointed at his head if a cop shows up and he's not killed.
That's not temporary to that store owner.
Give me a break, temporary.
So in Flint, Biden essentially blames Republicans for increased rapes.
A week later goes into Philadelphia and doubles down on it.
Rank utter stupidity, embarrassingly so.
But nobody said that old Joe was damaging a Democrat brand.
It's just old Joe.
That's just Joe.
The Democrats seem to be perfectly fine with stupidity at the highest levels of their party.
And how about I love this?
You know, Obama is drawing smaller and smaller crowds.
Everywhere he's going.
And so you know what they're saying?
Oh, we're doing it on purpose.
We are intentionally limiting the crowd size at our rallies.
Washington Times.
Last week, the presumptive GOP presidential vice presidential nominees Romney and Ryan are attracting thousands of supporters to their rallies.
Since Romney named Ryan to the ticket, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee has taken notice of these big crowds.
And they sent out urgent emails to their supporters.
And we read you one of those emails last week.
They're very concerned about the small crowd sizes for Obama and the big crowd sizes for Romney and Ryan.
New York Times is reporting that the Obama campaign is saying that it is intentionally limiting crowd size at their events because of security and cost.
And the next thing they're going to tell us is that they are intentionally reducing the amount of money that they are raising.
Jen Psaki, or P-S-A-K-I, campaign spokes babe for Obama.
Yeah, we got plenty of time for big rallies.
Our focus right now is on exciting our supporters and winning over undecided voters.
And the smaller and medium-size events are the best venue to accomplish that.
Because the president can then closely engage the crowd.
These big rallies, they're expensive, uh, especially given the logistical and security challenges for a president as opposed to a mere senator.
And Obama campaign operatives, both at the Chicago headquarters and in swing states where Obama has recently stumped, say the campaign intentionally limits crowds by restricting the number of tickets available.
And the reason is to allow the president to better connect with supporters.
And of course, this is reported with an utterly straight face.
and Oh, there's nothing to see here.
These small crowds, that's what we want.
Damn straight.
We want well what else are they gonna say?
That that Obama and Biden are failures?
Are they gonna say, yeah, we're having a problem?
Uh people just aren't excited by the president anymore.
And uh, you know, the circus act that Biden used to be, people have used to they've seen it now, it's not a big deal.
So there's no longer all this excitement.
Are they gonna say that?
No, no.
So they have to say there's too much enthusiasm.
There's so much enthusiasm.
We have to limit the size of the crowded Obama rallies.
But the bottom line is the Obama fad is over.
All of this hope and change and all of this mis messianic stuff.
All of this that attached itself to Obama in 08 is over.
It's done with.
And they are in trouble.
And I don't care.
Aiken isn't going to change that.
Whatever Aiken does or doesn't do isn't going to change the dismal economic situation that we have that is the direct result of Obama's policies.
I am still chuckling here over this ebook that the politico has has put out with Random House and that passage.
That one of the two things really irritating Obama is his concern that that Romney's going to get credit for the eventual economic recovery if if Romney wins.
There isn't going to be an economic recovery if Obama wins.
The only way there's going to be a recovery is if Obama loses and Romney wipes out a bunch of economic policies that are currently in place, and if we repeal Obamacare.
Otherwise, there isn't going to be a recovery as we've known them in the past.
It's laughable for Obama to actually sit.
We're talking about stupidity, which seems to be the theme of the day.
Well, I'm going to tell you, folks, it is blatantly stupid if the President of the United States thinks that just sitting there doing nothing after what he's already done, there's going to be some magical economic recovery, and it's going to happen next year or the year after that.
If he really believes that, and I bet he does, because I don't think he has the slightest idea of how economic activity actually takes place.
Private sector activity, growth, all I don't think he understands it.
I know he hates it.
I know he despises it, but I don't think he knows how it happens.
I think he thinks it's an accident.
And somehow people that don't deserve to do well end up doing well, and that's what has to change.
Anyway, let me take a brief time out.
We'll continue.
Be back before you know it.
Don't go away.
Here is uh Pam and Lee's summit, Missouri, near Kansas City.
Great to have you on the program.
Hi.
Hi, thank you, Rash.
I can't believe I'm talking to you.
Here you are.
Well, I had to call in when I was listening to the program because last night on the news and hearing what Todd Aiken had said, I was very upset.
I felt like he was handing the election over to Claire McCaskill.
And I've been anxious to see Claire McCaskill ousted at this election.
And when he made that statement, it made no sense.
I'm very pro-life.
And uh it made no sense that a woman's body has that capability.
And I'm an American before I'm a pro a Republican.
I I want this country to get back on track.
And the people are saying, well, the Dems get away with this.
Well, the Democrats, for the most part, I can't blanket every person that follows the Democratic Party, but most of them don't educate themselves.
And Republicans are unique because we do, and we follow after people of integrity, and we vote for people of integrity.
How can I put a sign in my yard for someone that I'm embarrassed of?
I hear you.
I know exactly what you're talking about.
I want to be a proponent of our candidates.
I don't want to just settle.
He may be a very good man, but he needs to step aside for the good of our country and for the good of our state.
Well, the the last that has been heard from Aiken is that he's in.
He's not, he's not going anywhere.
He's uh he's in.
However, there's still a couple hours to go, two and a half hours left for pressure to be exerted.
We'll see.
Thanks much for the call.
And we're back.
Rush Limbaugh here behind the golden EIB microphone.
Folks, there is a um a story out there that it hasn't gotten a lot of coverage.
It is in the New York Daily News, but it's it's it's not Gotten much traction.
Let me share with you the details here.
Democrat leaders in Minnesota demanding a state lawmaker withdraw from his reelection bid after police claim that he admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old boy at a rest stop.
Representative Kerry Gautier, 56, uh will lose support from fellow Democrat Farmer Labor Party members if he continues with his campaign.
Party leaders, however, have stopped short of asking him to resign.
While he will lose support from fellow Democrat farmer labor party members.
If he continues with his campaign, party leaders stopped short yesterday of asking him to immediately resign.
Now this guy has admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old boy at a rest up.
Now the Gary Studds, Jerry Studs Master, that's right, got promoted for this in the in the House of Representatives.
Got a standing ovation in the process for hanging tough against calls that he should quit.
You want to talk double standard.
And again, there's nobody saying that this guy is doing damage to the Democrat brand.
And quite frankly, he's not.
Because there aren't any lofty expectations of Democrats.
When you hear that a 56-year-old Democrat has admitted to having sex with a 17-year-old boy to rest up, well, what's what's unusual about that?
It just it doesn't so.
It's not that big a deal when a Democrat does it, and the Democrats know it.
The first term legislator was not charged in the alleged July 22nd encounter because the legal age of consent in Minnesota is 16 and no money was exchanged.
The police said that the two had oral sex behind a rest stop pavilion in Duluth after the teenager responded to this guy's Craigslist ad looking for no strings attached sex.
Police reports made public last week say Gautier came clean about the rest stop rendezvous.
The teen reportedly told officials that Gautier was a stranger and that he lied to the unmarried lawmaker when he said he was 18.
Troopers were alerted to the alleged incident by a woman at the rest stop who was complaining about a male urinating on her car.
Now we've got all of these ingredients in a story involving an elected Democrat, not a Democrat candidate for anything.
And there aren't any stories about any damage to the Democrat brand.
This guy's story did not cause Obama to end his two-month boycott of the media.
We haven't heard Obama speak out against Mr. Gauthier, or Gauthier, however he pronounces his name.
But, Trooper Scott Parker wrote in a report that uh he came across another man who was identified as Gautier behind a rest area building after the woman reported a male urinating on her car.
The uh the trooper said it was at that time, but I noted his zipper was open and part of his shirt was hanging out.
I asked him why his zipper was down, he said he didn't know.
Well, I told him to zip it up and leave.
He seemed very nervous.
Zip it up and leave.
It is.
It's a it's a Ted Kennedy moment.
Zip it up and leave.
Gautier took office last year representing the Duluth area in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
So it's a local guy.
He's not what's a state office, is not a national office.
The uh chairman of the Democrat Farber Labor Party, Ken Martin said in a statement that Gautier's actions are inexcusable.
No one in our party condones what he did, nor will we defend him in this matter.
But Democrat former labor party members stopped short of asking him to resign.
So, we just mentioned this.
They're saying it's a private encounter, and it didn't affect anybody's ability to do their job, and it was only sex.
You know, the usual excuses we get when Democrats are involved in this kind of thing.
From the Pioneer Press newspaper, Gauthier's district is a reliably Democratic one, and...
the situation may complicate efforts by Democrats to regain control of the house.
Might it might complicate it's not guaranteed to complicate might not complicate either here's Bob in East Central Ohio as we go back to the phones.
Great to have you on the program sir.
Hello.
Yeah hi.
Hey hi got well good to hear your voice.
Thank you very much sir.
We're on some kind of a delay I guess but I can hear you I turned my radio off.
Yeah do that.
We're on a very long delay a lot of callers uh use profanity.
Oh don't don't worry I'm okay.
Okay.
Uh you two hear it because we we bleep it out but there's a we really have had some profane people on the phone here over the years and so we've got a very long delay till we can uh decide uh whether or not we want to allow the profanity or not.
Yeah.
Hey at any rate I just wanted to let you know that things I would hope are better than worse.
The cup is more than half full in east-central Ohio, Tuscarawas County.
I feel comfortable.
I'm 65 years old, 30% taxpayer, 30% of my flow.
But I can see coal picking up, C-O-A-L, coal.
I know they've closed some plants, electric production plants down, but there's enough picking up in the coal industry that we're still making coal here.
And also, we've been blessed here in the three-county area to about two, and I'm going to use the word B, billion, $2 billion influx of money.
So because of that, last year, I think it was two months ago, we were at about 7% unemployment, and this year we're at about 6%.
So everything created equally.
I just have more hope.
All of us are in this shining city on the hill that we read about.
And don't get so bogged down in a few things that, we can't say thanks for what we got.
Price of wood's up too if case you want to sell a log I you know what I was wondering about I have some logs and I've been holding on to them.
Well there you go well you know as long as they're still alive uh it's the best investment that you can make and you can cash them in and you're not limited uh to market.
See I even have friends that uh have saw mills so yeah everybody gives pitches in and we're getting along in Ohio and and uh I want you to think that things are better than than some people say well now I I note that uh you you're you're in east central ohio yeah Tuscaris County South Canton Ohio.
Okay, yeah.
Big big log uh area I know and I know Obama's in Ohio right now so there might be a correlation the log business being up and Obama being in town or or being in the state.
I mean who knows.
That was a couple years ago what was a couple years ago?
Uh when he was in Tuscarus County Oh he's there now well I don't know if he's in in in your county but he's he's in Oh is in Ohio right now.
Yeah.
But I tell you what I wouldn't put too much hope in coal with Obama lurking around if if I were you I mean he he has you may not have heard this but he has targeted coal as something he wants to put out of business.
Well I I was involved in several projects over the last twenty years the increasing the efficiency of coal burns particularly in uh he doesn't care about that coal you know i once the once the EPA set the standard we evolved the technology to meet it I was a little upset because after we met it and built two pl uh built conveyors for ten plants in uh Canada, uh the United States and Mexico.
So about three third in each, I think it was.
Uh right now we can't do it anymore.
The only way they can Oh, they were dropping whole tires down into the barn when they were making uh uh concrete.
And what it meant was the temperature increased where it increased efficiency and burned out the You've got it all going on.
You've got logs, you have got you got tires, you got concrete, you've got coal, uh, you got Mexico involved, that's NAFTA, and you've got Obama in the state.
Why, you are in Nirvana.
Well, to tell you the truth, I wasn't I wasn't too pleased about somebody that didn't volunteer militarily to go, but on the other hand, now we got two running.
Uh uh both uh Obama and uh and uh Republican guy uh didn't choose to volunteer early in life.
Yeah, Obama and the Republican guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, I didn't say Republican, I said publican.
Publican.
Yeah, with a P. Just like when you use the word Democrat with a small D. Right.
So uh uh let me I'm not quite sure, as I'm sitting here talking to you, who are you voting for?
I I'm gonna surprise a lot of people and say that I'm going to vote for Obama this time.
No, you're not surprising anybody.
It was eight days ago, folks, August the 13th, eight days ago that a CNN reporter by the name of Hamby, Peter Hamby, tweeted the following quote, Paul Ryan to Milwaukee Magazine in 2005.
I have a sister-in-law who's African American, and my college sweetheart was black.
Eight days ago.
You heard anything about that, Snerdley?
You didn't know that Ryan dated a black chick, and you didn't know that his sister-in-law was uh was African American.
Well, it's eight days ago.
How come we don't know this?
A CNN guy tweets it and it dies.
And all the while, Obama and Biden and the Democrats are trying to paint Ryan as some big racist.
Okay.
Along with Romney, other big racists.
Yeah, Brian's budget.
And it's there's Biden out there saying, Yeah, they want to put you all back in chains.
How come we don't hear this?
We've heard everything negative they have on Ryan.
I'll tell you why we don't hear it is because it doesn't help the Obama agenda.
Pure and simple.
Meanwhile, Anthony Wiener's tweets go all over the world.
I don't know.
It's an unfair world out there.
We'll take a brief time out, come back and wrap it up right after this.
Don't go away.
There's a publication out there called The Root, and it's it's run by uh Obama's buddy, Henry Lewis Gates, Skip Gates, up at uh up at Harvard.
And his uh his publication, The Root has a story with this headline Does Paul Ryan's black ex-girlfriend matter?
I kid you not.
Does Paul Ryan's ex-black girlfriend matter?
In Skip Gates publication.
Okay, folks.
Well, here we're back, and we're back through the election.
So I just uh sit sit tight, be calm, and don't forget our latest big sweepstakes, uh giant seven-day extraordinary cruise for a grand prize winner.
Check it all out at two if by tea.com.
