Christine O'Donnell last night on Hannity endorsed Romney and said that the Tea Party was oriented toward Romney.
I'm sorry, I don't think that's accurate.
I don't think that's true.
And I think if I had to hazard again, people are asking me this, folks, so I got to hazard a guess here and answer, but who did Christine O'Donnell in?
Who largely maligned her?
That's too strong a word.
Who was it that said they weren't going to help?
Who was it that said she had no business being a nominee?
It was a Republican establishment, right?
All right.
So she comes out now and endorses Romney, obviously attempting to ingratiate herself with the Republican establishment.
I mean, that seems obvious to me.
I could be wrong, of course.
And I'm not trying to be disparaging a Christine O'Donnell.
And I don't know, you know, the two most vocal anti-O'Donnell people were Carl Rove and Mike Murphy, the political consultant.
Murphy's, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sitting here drinking my cocktail.
Yeah, I'm one of these consultants.
Yeah, yeah, okay.
You run her campaign then.
If she's done this magic, if you think she can win, she can't.
You run her campaign.
Now that Christine O'Donnell has endorsed Romney, how does it make those guys feel?
Are they happy to have her on their team?
Think so?
Heck no.
Well, but yeah, but she might bring the, I know dope might bring some Tea Party votes.
I probably not happy about it.
But anyway, it is what it is.
People are asking me to just see it.
Yeah, I thought they saw it.
How are you, folks?
Rush Limbaugh.
We are back.
It's the EIB Network, the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Telephone number if you want to be on the program.
We're going to get to your phone calls.
I've got to tell you, we are just swamped and loaded today.
Telephone numbers 800-282-2882 and the email address, lrushbow at EIBNet.com.
Ladies and gentlemen, data on sales of previously owned homes from 2007 through October this year were made up by a factor of two.
They double counted existing home sales will be revised down from 2007 to the present.
The National Association of Realtors said that a benchmarking exercise had revealed that some properties were listed more than once.
In some cases, new home sales were also captured.
What we have here, and speaking of things that being much worse than we thought, it turns out that the realtors have been exaggerating the number of house sales since 2007 due to double counting.
Now, why would they have done that?
When I heard this news, and I realized that it's the National Association of Realtors, not the government with these numbers.
The National Association of Realtors, what could they possibly gain from telling the public that housing sales were higher than they actually were?
The only thing I can think of is trying to save the market in terms of a perception.
You know, we were heading and trending to homes being worth less than what was owed on them, the traditional underwater status.
They knew how bad it was, and an attempt to keep it from getting worse exaggerated the health of the industry.
Now, nowhere in this story, and this is Reuters, and by the way, Reuters is essentially unfazed as you read this.
No big deal to them.
And I've read a number of other stories about this, and I can't find the number that will be revised, how far down.
All I know is double counting.
We're assuming here that the sales of existing homes number was a multiple of two.
Now, I remember we reported on this program back in February that the National Association of Realtors had been accused of overcounting home sales by as much as 20%.
And at the time, the realtor scoffed at that whole thing.
But now it looks like that they're going to have to come out and admit it.
But what this means, remember I've said throughout this year and even late last year, as the pension numbers became available, unfunded liabilities, pensions.
I said, folks, nothing's real.
Nothing's real.
Everybody that has what they have based on going into incalculable debt to have it, be it states or individuals, nothing's real.
Nothing's real.
And now look at, if this can be, if this number can be so easily fudged, and where is the journalist community?
Where's the curiosity here?
Where is somebody hearing the numbers?
Well, maybe we're not going to accept what you say.
Let's dig deep and find it.
Where is, there wasn't any.
There's no curiosity about the truth of the unemployment numbers.
None.
So how much other out there is not real?
How much else is being faked?
How many other things are we being lied to about?
The best guess is that we're being lied to far more than we're being told the truth, particularly when it comes to the state, the status of the economy.
And in large part, certain sectors of the economy, the American people, are just in denial about all of this.
And it's true.
A lot of people don't want to face just how bad things are.
But most people can't escape it.
I want to go back to the audio soundbites.
I want to finish this soundbite with Obama.
This is the piece des résistance.
This afternoon at Fort Bragg.
Remember now, Obama 2002 dumb war throughout his time in Washington and in Chicago, the state of Illinois, dumb war, constantly opposed it.
The objective was silly.
Democracy in the Middle East.
Why?
That's impossible.
We shouldn't be doing it.
We have no business being over there.
This is Bush's war.
Bush is lying.
We have no every effort that was made by the Democrat Party to sabotage and undermine victory.
Barack Obama was right in there.
Now, as president, he's taking credit for every aspect of it.
And here's the final thing that we have him saying today.
You, the 9-11 generation, has earned your place in history.
Because of you.
Because you sacrificed so much for a people that you had never met.
Iraqis have a chance to forge their own destiny.
That's part of what makes us special as Americans.
Unlike the old empires, we don't make these sacrifices for territory or for resources.
We do it because it's right.
He doesn't even, he doesn't believe a word of that.
This is re-election time, campaign central.
Here he is now trying to tell us what's great about America because of what we did and what our military did in Iraq.
And believe me, those people at Fort Bragg and people wearing the uniform of this country know full well where this guy was.
They know full well what Obama's position was when they were putting it on the line.
They know what the Democrat Party was trying to do.
We'll never forget the moveon.org ad on General Betray Us.
Dingy Harry, this war is lost.
This war is over.
And Barack Obama was right in there.
And now, Iraq is a great testament to the greatness of America.
The Iraqis can forge their own destiny.
And when George Bush set all this up, it was impossible.
It was a lie.
Bush was there for totally different reasons.
He was lying.
He was there to avenge his father and Saddam's attempt on his life.
He was there because he just wanted war.
He was there because he was trying to distract people from his failures as a president.
All of these things were said.
Every effort in the world to undermine victory in Barack Obama was all part of it.
No blood for oil.
All of that.
Yeah.
Meanwhile, Obama wants to cut the Pentagon budget by a trillion dollars.
Two phases of $500 billion each.
The vast majority of the defense budget goes to payroll and healthcare.
But Obama's biggest point was that Bush invaded to distract us from a bad economy and that Bush kept us in Iraq.
And remember, Obama was all over club gitmo and torture and all the horrible things we were doing.
And now, when it's re-election time, he goes to the very people he accused of being torturers and maimers and criminals and tells them how proud he is of their sacrifice for people they have never met.
John Kerry called them terrorists, folks, storming into the homes of Iraqi mothers at night and taking their children.
Dick Durbin comparing our troops to the Nazis and the Soviet soldiers and the gulags.
John Kerry accusing our troops and Jack Murtha of Pennsylvania believing that the Marines had committed rape at Haditha.
That's what the Democrat Party was doing all during the Iraq war.
And it was joined in every phase by Barack Obama.
This is sickening.
Makes you want to puke.
Now, I don't want anybody to tell me this guy can't be beat.
This is John Berman, ABC.
Good morning, America, this morning.
Now is the winter of our discontent.
Big, major across-the-board discontent.
The president has never been this unpopular in our polls, ever.
His popularity has fallen a full 31 points since before he took office.
And now, for the first time ever in our ABC News Washington Post poll, more people have a negative view of him than positive.
And the Republican establishment still doesn't believe Obama can be beat.
A random act of journalism from John Berman at ABC's Good Morning America.
Big major across the board discontent.
And I'll tell you, the NBC Wall Street Journal poll came out last night, and it's devastating as well.
Plus, it shows Newt at 40 nationally.
Obama's popularity has fallen a full 31 points since before he took orifice.
And for the first time ever in the ABC News Washington Post poll, more people have a negative view of him than positive.
Meanwhile, the Republican Party is being told, no, people like him.
People love Obama.
Feel sorry for him.
Don't go out there and criticize Obama.
Remember Joe Biden?
He's going to show the Iraq war.
He's going to shove it down George Bush's throat.
And now out there today, all of these guys trying to take credit for it.
Exactly what has Obama done for our combat troops the last three years?
He's done nothing.
And nobody's going to be fooled by this Fort Bragg speech.
Nobody's going to be fooled by it.
Nobody's going to be buying into it.
We're going to keep reminding everybody.
I remember back in, what was it, August of 2007, Obama said that our troops in Afghanistan are just air raiding villages and killing civilians.
That's he has been a constant drumbeat of criticism of the American military.
He has never supported victory.
He was part of a political party that sought to undermine victory.
But like I always told you folks, once they get the White House, they will not lose a war.
They'll love to saddle, say, a George Bush with a defeat.
They'd love to hang a defeat in Iraq or Afghanistan or both around Bush's neck.
But once they get into the Oval Office, ain't no way they are going to lose a war.
They love it when the military botches things.
They love it when the military gets defeated.
Left does.
The socialists and Marxists in our country.
They love it when the military loses, but not when they are in charge.
So now a shameless attempt to claim credit for this and to say that this is a great illustration, definition of American greatness.
Nobody will buy it.
John Boehner, last night in Washington, we have a montage of Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Kevin McCarthy talking about the vote to extend the payroll tax.
They defied Obama.
They put the Keystone Pipeline in it.
They put the Keystone pipeline in there and Obama was, he was, he feels like he has been challenged on this, disrespected on this.
He claims he's going to veto it.
Here's what our guys said.
We've passed a large bill that contains many of the priorities of our caucus and the White House.
We've worked to find common ground.
We just had a strong bipartisan vote on the House floor.
It's time for the other side, Harry Reid, as well as the president, to compromise.
When the founding fathers sat down to craft a type of government that they wanted to see that was by the people and for the people, they looked at compromise.
There you go.
So the Republican leadership in the House of Representatives believes compromise.
That's right, folks, compromise.
That's what you want.
The American people want compromise.
You want our guys to work with the Democrats.
You want at least.
There is a positive note here, and that is that Boehner and Cantor and these guys said it's time for the Democrats to compromise.
Normally it works the other way.
Normally, we are the ones that are supposed to compromise.
But no, not this time.
But still, this is what they say, using the language of the left.
And this, I'm telling you, their political consultants, their pollsters, their advisors are telling them the independents want compromise.
The independents want Democrats and Republicans to work together.
The Independents and the moderates don't like all this gridlock and confrontation.
And so whoever is structuring the Republican language here, we can tell that the establishment consultants and pollsters are making sure that they use language that they think the American people want to hear.
And I think they couldn't be more wrong.
Meanwhile, here's Dingy Harry.
Let's go ahead and play this out this morning in Washington.
Dingy Harry on the Senate floor.
Remember now, when our guys get too critical, when our guys don't compromise, when our guys stand steady on their turf, hold the line.
That's not good.
The independents are going to like, oh, no, no, Rush, the independents, you're going to send them off.
They're going to be racing off the Democrats.
They don't like this confrontation.
They're like this bomb-ass.
They don't like any of this stuff that you have to offer.
Now, this is where the Democrats will go.
This is the kind of, are the independents.
This is the kind of thing that's attractive to the independents.
The House has passed a bill that I have said and non-Democrats have said is a dead duck.
DOA, dead on arrival.
It's here.
It's dead.
And they don't want to vote on it.
Somebody explain something to me.
If the independents are going to run to the Democrats whenever the Republicans are obstinate and don't compromise, why are they going to go to the, I mean, the Democrats are the ones that always say the budget's DOA, the bill is DOA, it's dead.
It's not having a chance.
We're not voting for this.
You realize how we've been lied to and you realize the contradictions?
We're told the independents are going to flock to people to talk about compromise, want to work together, get things done, cross the aisle.
Democrats don't talk that way.
The Democrats say, that bill stinks.
That bill's dead on arrival.
They want to kill 8,100 people.
Barbara Boxer, Republicans want 8,100 people to die because of this bill.
And we're told that's where the independents are going to go.
And that's what our candidates are told.
That's what our consultants tell them, and that's what the Republican establishment believes.
So what's wrong with the Keystone Pipeline?
They've moved it away from the precious Nebraska sandhills now.
So what's the objection now?
Well, it still could cause pollution.
Mr. Limbo, that pipe could still erupt here and wreak havoc throughout the Midwest and throughout this entire nation.
And black oil will be all over everywhere and destroy crops and the snowboarders.
It's too big a risk.
We just simply can't go for it, Mr. Limbo.
Grab a call.
Alex in Marlborough, New Jersey.
Welcome to the EIB Network, sir.
You're up.
Hello, Rush.
Thanks for having me call.
Thank you, sir.
Look, I want to speak about the policies of this administration.
I'm a former Marine myself, did a few tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And quite frankly, I could speak for many, many of my friends, some of who are still in service.
The policies of this administration have been destructive.
They have cut military funding dramatically.
We saw that in the recent defense bill.
We're looking at cutting down our F-22s, our aircraft groups, our troop numbers.
And this don't-ask, don't-tell repeal, frankly, undermines the unity of our military.
And I think the Republican candidates out there really need to make a strong platform of how they're going to fix our military, how they're going to defend our country, and what they're going to do for the men and women in these armed forces, because we've seen devastating damage done to the security of this nation and the very fabric of our military.
And quite frankly, as a former Marine, I'm very concerned about this.
Well, you should be, and a lot of Americans are.
And that's why I say that this Obama speech at Fort Bragg is not going to fool anybody.
He hadn't done anything for the troops in three years.
There's not one thing that they can cite that Obama's done.
I appreciate your call, Alex.
Thanks very much.
Merry Christmas.
We will be back.
And we cannot forget Obama's rules of engagement in Afghanistan.
Remember, they were thinking of awarding a medal for courageous restraint for not firing.
Yeah, that's doing a lot for the troop.
We don't forget these things.
And speaking of the military, the Democrats right now, here's Obama out there today at Fort Bragg trying to claim credit for all the good that this country did and all the good this country stands for in Iraq.
And Iraq is now in charge of its own destiny.
And we did it.
It's a testament to the greatness of America.
And he opposed it every day that that war was ongoing.
The Democrats are, as we speak, holding funding for veterans and active military hostage.
They are refusing to pass any spending bills for the Pentagon or to even keep the government going.
They are threatening a government shutdown until they get their way on the payroll tax bill.
And Obama is encouraging them while he's at Fort Bragg and going on and on about our great military and how great he was and how great this commander-in-chief leading the effort, bring democracy to Iraq.
They're threatening a government shutdown.
Dingy Harry threatening a government.
And that is who the Independents are going to flock to and vote for.
Yep.
That's right.
The Independents.
They can't wait to vote Democrats because they hate the Republicans.
Too bombastic, too critical of Obama.
Meanwhile, Obama is undermining the military, holding it hostage to his payroll tax deal, threatening government shutdown.
And we're told the independents can't wait to vote for him.
He's talking about how he wants to thank the military, how we can't do enough for the military, need to do more for the military.
He's holding up funding for the Pentagon.
The Democrats are, and he's encouraging them.
Larry in Ithaca, Michigan, great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello, sir.
Hello, Rush.
What an honor to speak with you.
Thank you very much, sir.
I understand that.
I jump on the internet every day at 12.06 and shut her down at 3 o'clock.
But I don't have a question.
I just got a comment.
I told Mr. Snerdley, I'm a Newt Ginrich fan.
He's so charismatic, and he'll mop up the floor with Mr. Obama when it comes to debating.
I also told Mr. Snerdley that Herman Cain was my favorite.
He got railroaded.
There's no proof whatsoever ever been issued to claim that.
Yeah, but you know, that's an interesting thing.
People are asking, how come it did Herman Cain in?
We don't even know what happened.
And yet we know it happened with Newt, and he seems to be thriving.
And the answer is there's nothing new about Newt.
All this stuff's known.
It's been dealt with.
The public hasn't been surprised by any revelations about Newt.
With Herman Cain, none of that was known.
And there was so much of it that came that it onslaught that it created some doubts.
But even now, we don't know if it happened.
But with Newt, we know that it did, but it doesn't matter.
Because it was all known.
Now, that's right.
Where are the Kane women?
Exactly.
Where are they?
Where is Gloria Olra?
Where is their testimony?
Where is the specific detail of what he did?
It isn't anywhere.
Mission accomplished.
They don't have to go public with it.
But there's something here that Larry said.
Gingrich will mop newt up in the debates.
Maybe.
Folks, I'm here to tell you that we're getting ourselves in a trap, if that's going to be the reason.
I know.
I know what it is.
I know you're sick and tired of the Republicans putting people up that sound stupid and look stupid.
Meanwhile, we have this Obama who's said to be the smartest guy in the world and so smart we can't even keep up with him.
His light's so bright we can't even look at him without being blinded.
And so we got to find somebody who can compete with that.
We need somebody with ideas that are going to cream Obama's ideas.
This debate business, I'm going to tell you, you're getting sucked into a trap on this intelligence business, but I understand it.
When it's television, let me tell you a dirty little secret.
People will vote more on what they see than what they hear on TV.
It happens every time.
And we are back, ladies and gentlemen.
We had a total power failure, a total power outage.
Everything went south.
And it may be due to the fact that the Fox crew is here.
We may be overloaded.
It happened the last time that they were here, too.
We thought we'd had it.
But anyway, we're back now and we're up and running.
And I don't know if we're on generator or for online power.
We're online power.
Okay.
So apologize for that.
Everything that we, every system we have is still in the process of rebooting.
My computer hasn't reboot.
I thought I was on a UPS in here for my computer, but nothing is.
Nothing's on a UPS.
Anyway, I have finally, ladies and gentlemen, been granted permission to let you know what the new flavors are of 2F by T.
I don't know if the DittoCam is working.
I don't know if it's up and running.
My monitor has not been powered up.
So I wanted to show you the bottles.
They're beautiful, but you can see them at the 2fbit.com website.
The two new flavors are raspberry and peach.
Blueberry, blueberry and peach.
And they are both available in diet and regular.
And I am telling you, both of these new flavors, the peach and the blueberry, you open the bottle, the aroma wafts out.
You think you are holding a bottle of blueberry muffins.
And when you taste it, you still taste the tea.
You can order it now.
You can order diet or regular, blueberry or peach, two if by tea.
They are delicious.
You're going to think that you are eating fresh baked blueberry muffins or that you're taking a stroll through a peach orchard.
And we tasted a lot of tea out there.
These are hands down the freshest, most vibrant fruit flavor teas that you will find.
Nothing compares.
I mean it.
There's nothing even close in the tea market to these tea.
And of course, they're on the raspberry as well.
You know, that's our flagship.
But these two new flavors, the labeling is gorgeous.
The bottles are gorgeous.
The color of the tea is gorgeous.
Every bottle filled to the brim.
We are ecstatic and proud to be able to offer these new flavors.
We've been working on these for months.
Now, in honor of these new flavors, sit tight, folks, we're just now getting started.
In honor of these new flavors and the holiday season, we're now running our final big, huge sweepstakes of the year.

The color of the peach is a little darker.
I mean, we have spared no expense on the labels.
We have spared no expense on any of this, on the bottles of any of it.
So I'm glad the DittoCam is back so I can show you.
Okay, on your right is the Diet Blueberry, and on your left is the Diet Peach.
There you go.
Just gorgeous.
And wait till you taste it.
Okay, payroll tax cut threatens government shutdown.
Mentioned this before the power went out.
Republican payroll tax cut bill sailed through the House despite a White House veto threat dead on arrival in the Senate.
You heard Dingy Harry say so.
Harry Reid made these remarks yesterday as threatening a government shutdown over this.
In the meantime, I'm going to have to go into this in greater detail.
In the next hour, USA Today, in a random act of journalism, has a piece about the soaring costs of electricity over the past five years.
Now, you know, cheap, abundant energy is key.
The free flow of oil, for example, market prices, is key.
It's the fuel of the engine of freedom and democracy.
It's a key ingredient to improving a growing economy, improving all the human condition.
