Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of The Rush 247 podcast.
You know, you can say what you want about the Internet.
I mean, a lot of people don't like the Internet.
A lot of people think that nobody has any privacy anymore because of the Internet.
One thing might be able to say is if Twitter had been around in the 1960s, Mary Joe Capeckney might be alive today.
Well, you have to consider a possibility.
Greetings, folks, and welcome Rush Limbaugh back in the saddle.
The official attempted huncher here at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Our telephone number is 800-282-2882, the email address Lrushbaugh at EIBNet.com secret project right on schedule.
Yes, it is.
And Snerdley says that many of you on the phone are expressing what is it?
They're little they're peaked.
Stringing along loyal members of my audience.
Well, that's not, I mean, I guess I am.
I have no way to avoid it.
It's not the purpose.
It is an ancillary aspect, but it's a secret project.
If it weren't secret, I'd tell you what it is.
At some point, we'll be able to tell you what it is, right?
Now it's secret.
Don't want anybody else to know about it until it happens.
Well, it uh with what is this, June?
Certainly at some point this month.
Oh, yes, it's imminent.
It's uh it's imminent.
Anyway, uh uh ladies and gentlemen, great to have you here.
As always, a telephone number if you want to be on the program has not changed in 22 years.
800-282-2882, and the email address Lrushbaugh at EIB net.com.
I'm gonna develop this later on in the program today, but somebody has to do this.
You know, Austin Goolsby's out, he's quitting.
He's gonna go back and teach, which is that's that's exciting.
Here's a guy that's uh one of an economic fifth economic advisor to to quit.
The Obama team, the only one of the originals left is Geithner.
And so Goolsby's going back to teach, which is not encouraging.
Here's a total screw up who has no clue what he's doing, is gonna go back to the halls of academe and uh corrupt and pollute the mines, the young skulls full of mush of the youths of America.
But I'm gonna tell you, I've looked at what Carville has had to say.
Carville predicting potential riots next summer if the uh unemployment situation doesn't change, uh, making it clear that these are not good times for Obama.
I L Rushbow, and as I say, I will develop this later on as the program unfolds before your very eyes and ears today.
But at some point, you Democrats are gonna have to make a decision.
Do you stick with Obama or do you jump ship?
Do you stick with Obama?
Or do you do a goalsby and get out of there?
Ask yourself this.
Do you stick with Jimmy Carter?
Or do you get out and protect yourself?
The time's coming where it's going to be too late.
The time is approaching for you, Democrats.
It's going to be too late, or he is going to drag all of you down, just as he did so many members of the House in the last election.
That that November 2010 election, a shellacking from the top of the ballot to the to the bottom of the ballot, and by that I mean down to state and local elections.
I know that I know the Democrats and Socialists and Liberals, you're loyal and all of this, but you have to have something to run.
You have to have something to have power over.
You have to have something that's worthwhile.
And your careers are hanging in the balance.
You Democrats, if you you continue to have your careers tied to uh President Obama, you're not going to have a career.
You know, the Rage and Cajun Carville, I mean, he's he's he's given us about 10% of what he really thinks.
If he's saying What he's saying.
There's 90% that he's thinking that he's not saying yet.
He's worried.
He's been there.
He's been there.
It's the economy stupid, was his phrase.
That can come back and you can throw it right back at these guys now.
So for you Democrats who are interested in protecting your own careers, you're going to have to make a decision.
You stay with this guy or do you run away from him as fast as possible?
And I say this as someone who supported Hillary against Obama in Operation Chaos.
I have tried to help you before, and you ignored me.
I did.
I tried to save you from this guy.
I didn't have much of a choice.
I did not have much of a choice, Hillary or Obama, but look at that nomination was hers.
She and Huma knew that it was hers.
Huma was so depressed when all that happened, she married Wiener.
I'm telling you, folks, particularly you Democrats out there, as as one who has not only supported Hillary, but I urge this audience to support Hillary in Operation Chaos, and they did.
I have tried to help you out before.
I mean, you're trying to pick our candidates for us, and we appreciate it.
And I'm trying to return the favor.
But if you Democrats, and I'm talking about elected officials.
I understand I don't have much of a chance here at persuading you, but I wanted to get it on the table and let you know that I know that you are thinking about it.
I know that you know that this can't go on.
That you're not going to have a career if this if if this stewardship, if this destruction of the once great United States economy continues unabated, you're no you're nowhere.
What are you, you know, gonna have control over.
Now, on a related item.
I hope Anthony Wiener never resigns.
I hope Wiener is never forced to resign.
I hope Pelosi does not make a full pitched effort here at the Ethics Committee.
I'm hoping that that's just for public consumption.
I don't want this guy to go away.
This guy, Anthony Wiener, Tony Wiener.
Look at what they're asking us to believe.
Here you have the classic dictionary definition of a nerd.
The classic dictionary definition of a pencil necked geek.
And they are telling us that this guy walked into a bar or who would walk into a bar and women would fall all over themselves to be near the guy.
This guy was Playboy numero Oh no, he was a womanizer par excellence.
This guy, he's such a woman, uh such a ladies' man, he had to do all of his womanizing anonymously sexting.
You know, phone sex, at least there's a voice on the other end.
This texting, this is just well, it's absurd.
This is not what real you never catch Hugh Hefner doing this.
Hugh Hefner put his pajamas on, have him over to the mansion and go at it for real.
Hugh Hefner wouldn't show him a picture, he'd show him the real thing.
They're trying to tell us that Wiener's some kind of playboy.
Some kind of uh God's gift to uh to women.
Sorry, I'm I'm not by it, buying it at all.
This this guy, this guy is the poster boy.
Remember during I think it was the um Republican convention in Houston in '92 when Woody Allen ditched Mia and went with the adopted daughter.
And we were all saying, that's the guy, that's the face of Democrat family values.
Would he yell it?
Well, now it's Wiener.
Wiener is the face of Democrat of Democrat family values.
He is The epitome of a Democrat culture of corruption, the Democrat culture of erection.
He is wrong on policy.
He is an admitted liar.
He used his orifice in Congress to conduct his lurid E perversions.
The guy's got it all.
And I wholeheartedly endorse the fact that he is not going to resign.
He and his wife have been married less than a year.
He said they've been through a lot together in less than a year.
Tony Wiener is the Democrat Party, writ small.
We want Wiener to stand firm here and not quit.
I do anyway.
I'm just speaking for myself.
I do.
I want him to hang in there and be tough.
Because he's a perfect, perfect poster boy.
I mean, look at the guy who married him, Bill Clinton.
Hey, I never had sex with that woman, not a single time.
And I never asked anybody to lie.
Error.
Wiener hasn't learned a whole lot.
Well, I don't know how hard it is for Wiener to stand up to all this or not.
I really, I don't know.
Now, I don't know how long.
I'm surprised this is still on his website.
I I kid you not.
It has not been scrubbed.
There is at Wiener.house.gov slash issue display.
Tough on crime, Anthony Wiener protecting children on the internet.
In early 2007, my office did a study that found over 85% of registered sex offenders in New York City live less than five blocks from schools.
670 sex offenders live within just two blocks.
Some offenders are even closer, permanently residing less than 500 feet away from unwitting parents, educators, and children.
Along with several colleagues in Congress, we introduced and passed the kids, keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators Act of 2007.
I kid you not, Wiener was a co-sponsor.
And it's still on his website.
Keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators Act of 2007.
He's a co-sponsor, a co-author.
The keeping the Internet Devoid of Sexual Predators Act of 2007 requires sex offenders offenders to register their email and instant message addresses with the National Sex Offender Registry.
The Kids Act implemented one, this is Wiener on his website.
The Kids Act implemented one of my six recommendations to keep a closer eye on sex offenders, both near Scruel grounds and online.
I also wrote Wiener.
I also proposed stricter GPS trafficking.
I'm sorry, tracking of sex offenders, tougher enforcement of registration laws, and more public disclosure of sex offender data.
Sadly, the internet is the predator's venue of choice today.
They haven't scrubbed it.
I checked just this morning before the program started.
It was still up there.
Anthony Wiener, protector of the Internet, also did this.
While everybody is focused on the uh the uh culture of erection here.
You ever looked at this guy's voting record?
Folks, I mean, I've it it it's um there ain't enough time to go through all of them.
But anybody who cares about this country would have to think that Wiener policy-wise is despicable.
You look through this voting record here.
The reason this country's on the ropes is due to the way Anthony Wiener and his fellow liberals vote, not how he texts.
He voted no on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions, April 2005.
He voted no on banning partial birth abortion except to save the mother's life, October 2003.
He voted yes on 192 billion dollars additional stimulus spending.
Voted yes on an additional $825 billion economic recovery package.
January 2009 voted yes.
$15 billion bailout.
General Motors and Chrysler voted no constitutionally defining marriage as one man, one woman, voted no on protecting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Rated 30% by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce indicating an anti-business voting record, voted no on military border patrols to battle drugs and terrorism, voted yes on allowing the courts to decide on God in Pledge of Allegiance.
Voted no on allowing school prayer during the war on terror.
Voted yes on enforcing limits of carbon dioxide global warming pollution.
I mean it's a 110% perfect liberal voting record.
This guy is the epitome of why this country's economy is in the trouble it's in.
It's why the country is in the trouble it's in.
Tony Weiner voted yes on $2 billion more for the Cash for Clunkers program.
Voted yes on starting implementation of Kyoto Prokobal protocol establishing greenhouse gas tradable allowances, cap and trade, all that.
That's just the first half of one page.
It goes on and on and on.
And to show you how pathetic this all is Wall Street Journal speakeasy blog, Alexandra Cheney.
Nothing against her, but if it's to show you where our culture is, seven ways to avoid being a wiener on the web.
How stupid must we be if they've got to publish seven things for us to remember so that we don't end up being a wiener?
You want to hear what some of them are?
Don't post private material.
Really?
We need somebody in a newspaper blog to tell us this.
Don't change your personality online.
Although it's a different vehicle of communication, it should not be a different personality.
Don't say things online you wouldn't say in person.
Maintain your standards on the web.
Don't email things you wouldn't hand deliver.
Be ready for online attacks and avoid mixing alcohol and social media.
Don't drink and tweet, in other words.
I kid you not.
These are so obvious.
This is like I I what do you mean the first one's not obvious?
Don't post private material.
Look at I know.
I know we got people, I know we have people who want to vomit everything about themselves because they want fame and this kind of, but it's this is one of these common sense things.
These seven items are no different than having a news reporter for your local TV station go standing out in a blizzard saying stay inside.
This is not common sense anymore.
Don't we're in trouble.
That's why that's why I don't want Wiener to quit.
Keep him there as a poster boy for all this stuff.
Your guiding Light El Rushball behind the golden EIB microphone.
Happy to have you along, my friends.
Broadcast excellence, all yours.
I'll tell you no matter where you look, you see news that makes you ask, can we really recover from this?
The federal government, USA Today, the federal government's financial condition deteriorated rapidly last year, far beyond the one and a half trillion dollars in new debt taken on to finance the budget deficit.
The government added five point three trillion dollars in new financial obligations in 2010, largely for retirement programs, Medicare, Social Security.
That brings to a record, $61.6 trillion.
It total financial promises Not paid for unfunded liabilities.
This comes to around 700 or 800,000 per American household.
$61.3 trillion.
In 2008, just to show you how fast this is adding up.
2008, the total of unfunded liabilities, Social Security and Medicare was 53 trillion.
Today it's uh sixty one point six trillion.
And this this election coming up is in fact about liberty versus tyranny.
This is about the private sector versus big government.
Market system versus socialism.
There has never been an election more focused on the revival versus the death of a great nation than this election coming up.
That's what's at stake.
And that's why I'm suggesting many of you Democrats, you may want to start flying the coop early.
My friend, sixty-one point six trillion in unfunded liability.
Whatever story we see about Social Security running out of money in ten years or Medicare Medicaid running out of money in ten years.
They're out of money now, sixty-one point six trillion.
unfunded liabilities.
It's a USA Today story that this news comes from.
And by the way, it's $534,000 per household.
Thank you.
That's the sum total of the debt.
$534,000 per American household.
Now that number, $134,000, is more than five times what Americans have borrowed for everything else.
Mortgages, automobile loans, other debt.
Five times.
Unfunded.
Sixty-one point six trillion is what the people who work in this country are obligated to pay those who will retire is the way to look at this.
Nothing's real.
We haven't had this money for a long time.
We don't have this money now.
Now, coincidentally, Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security and Medicare are the two programs that the Democrats are dead set against changing even one IOTA.
And the USA Today's story about the $61.6 trillion in deficit, the unfunded liabilities, was based on quote, a little known audited financial report of the federal government.
So why is so little known?
Oh, by the way, guess what we found going through an audit of the federal government?
Look at this, $61.6 trillion, an unfunded liability.
And that doesn't include all the unfunded pension plans in the states.
For public sector employee, this is just Social Security and Medicare.
This election coming up, it is all about the private sector versus big government.
Market system versus socialism.
Might be accurate to say that there has never been an election more focused on what's either going to be the revival of a great nation or the death of a great nation than this one coming up.
If you noticed many of Obama's sentences begin with no longer can America blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Now he usually delivers these sentences overseas.
No longer can America, no longer can America.
So the question that I'd like to ask to all of you liberals, and I know you're out there.
You know you're here.
I know you're here.
You're here every day.
On what basis does Obama deserve re-election?
On what basis has Obama earned your vote?
On what basis?
Of all the things that this regime has done, what is it that you want More of what is it that's making everybody so ecstatically happy or supremely content that you want more of it.
You know the popular election slogan, re-election slogan, four more years of this.
What do we want four more years of?
I can't think of a single thing that we want four more years of from this administration.
Maybe four more years of Anthony Weiner.
But I don't know.
I there's nothing that would recommend this guy is land slightly defeatable, as I have been saying now for weeks almost into months on this program.
Washington Post today, Obama loses bin Laden bounce, Romney on the move among GOP contenders.
Public opinion boosts President Obama, the public opinion boost Obama received after the killing of bin Laden has dissipated.
Americans' disapproval of how he's handling the nation's economy and the deficit has reached new highs, according to a Washington Post ABC News poll.
The survey portrays a broadly pessimistic mood in the country this spring as higher gas prices, sliding home values, and a disappointing employment picture have raised fresh concerns about the pace of the economic recovery.
By the way, and something that was somewhat uplifting.
There's another poll out there.
60% of the American people don't believe there is a recovery.
It ought to be 100%, but I'll take 60.
The way things are going.
By two to one, Americans say the country's pretty seriously on the wrong track.
Nine in ten continue to rate the economy in negative terms.
Nearly this poll, nearly six in ten say the economy has not started to recover.
Regardless of what official statistics may say.
Most of those who say it has improved rate the recovery as weak.
New post ABC numbers show Obama leading five of six potential Republican rivals tested in the poll, but he is in a dead heat with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who formally announced his candidacy last week, making jobs and the economy the central issues in his campaign.
Mike, stand by.
I'm going to change up the audio soundbite order as soon as I find the soundbite that I want you to use.
And I just found it.
Grab audio soundbite number 19.
Last Friday in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the University of New Hampshire, Romney held a town hall meeting.
And during the Q&A...
Somebody stood up and said nearly all the other candidates suggest that there is no scientific consensus on climate change.
Some insist.
And it's not even occurring.
We can't have a meaningful discussion about solutions until there's agreement about the problem.
Will you, sir, state now?
That under a Romney administration, global warming will be accepted as reality.
And this reality will form the foundation for all climate and energy policy.
And here's what Romney said.
I believe the world is getting warmer.
I can't prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer.
And number two, I believe the humans contribute to that.
I don't know how much our contribution is to that, because I know there's been there have been periods of greater heat and warmth in the past, but but I believe that we contribute to that.
And so I think it's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and the global warming that you're seeing.
Bye-bye nomination.
Bye bye nomination, another one down.
We're in the midst here of discovering that this is all a hoax.
The last year has established that the whole premise of man-made global warming is a hoax.
And we still have presidential candidates who want to buy into it.
Why?
Because in New Hampshire they obviously care about it.
So you go to Iowa and say, hey, by the way, I'm all for ethanol subsidies.
And you go to Florida and say, hey, you seasoned citizens, I'm all for never-ending social security.
Wherever you go, whatever they care about there is what you're for.
I saw this.
I couldn't believe this when I saw it.
People in New Hampshire for some cockamamy reason want to believe in global warming.
There was snow on the summit of Hawaii's biggest mountain, Monica, after a thunderstorm dropped inches of ice this morning in Hawaii.
I believe climate change is man-made.
This is like a throwaway.
It just then we see in this poll, all of a sudden Romney's on the top.
So I guess.
Washington Post liked that answer, put Ronnie top.
This is what we want to hear at a Republican nominee.
This is what we want to hear.
Back to Anthony Wiener.
I got some sound bites I gotta get in on this just to establish a couple things, and then we'll get back to this economic business.
I want to go back to me, actually, last Thursday on this program, when his Wiener stuff um.
I guess first uh first uh might say that raised its ugly head, erupted, or or what have you.
And I remember that day, I lad I didn't want to have to focus on this rock gut.
I was I was I was dragged out being dragged into it today.
You know, the the what where this guy is on issues is the problem with uh with Tony Wiener.
But anyway, this is what I said last Thursday, just a reminder.
These people who seek to rule over us, who seek endless power over us, Wiener is part of this Democrat cabal that wants total authoritarian power over the people of this country.
They are bullies, and yet what do they do?
They pose as wise, intelligent people, smarter than everybody else, so special like Geitner.
We were told we had to put up with his cheating on his taxes because he's the only guy in Washington that could have shepherded us through the TARP business.
A guy who's never had a job in the real world, never had a job in the private sector, was the only guy capable of shepherding this country through this mess that was TARP in the financial crisis.
A wiener is just part of this crowd that we're told better than us, more special than we are.
We dare not even look at them in their presence.
We don't have that right.
They are so elevated above us, so wise, so intelligent beyond the people that they seek to control.
But really, what are they?
They're flesh and blood, and they are flawed like everybody else.
They are perhaps more deeply flawed than everybody else because they bring with them the baggage of hypocrisy.
They're no better than anybody else.
No better than everybody else, but they seek to rule us.
They seek to live our lives for us.
Okay.
So there's my take on them last Thursday.
Last night, on the Charlie Rose show on PBS, they had an exchange out there with the political columnist Roger Simon and Mark Halperin from Time magazine about Wiener and the revelation that he was the one who sent the photo to a woman via Twitter and then lied to cover it up and listen to these guys as you recall what I just said.
I've asked you.
It's the very intelligence of these men, like Spitzer, like Wiener, how bright they are, how quick they are, how successful they are, that gives them a sense of invulnerability.
That nothing bad can really happen to them because nothing bad ever has.
You won't meet any smarter people in politics than those two guys.
Just won't.
Spitzer and Wiener, Mark Halpern.
You won't meet any smarter people in politics than those two guys.
I told my wife.
I told her yesterday, I said, you wait and see how this is spun.
Before it's all said and done, we're gonna get stories, but this is so typical of type A guys, powerful men who do great things.
One woman's not enough.
They have to spread their seed all over the place.
Make sure that there are countless others that are born in their image.
They're going to get stories about how this is an attribute, a personality attribute, a great characteristic.
Just like in the mid-90s, how telling lies was actually helpful.
Because it spared people hurt feelings and all this.
These people make me write so many times a week I lose count.
They're so smart.
They're smarter than the rest of us.
They are allowed to do this because they are so smart.
They are a cut above.
And here's Mark Halford.
You won't find a couple of smarter guys and Spitzer and Wiener.
Why in the world go talk to Spitzer about this in the first place?
And what Spitzer doing coming on it?
Yeah, in fact, folks, let's put it this way this is what they want us to believe.
Wiener, Spitzer, epitome of brilliance.
Intelligence that is a cut above.
So if some blithering idiot had done the same thing, I guess we would have to believe that it was a flash of brilliance.
To send a picture of yourself in your underwear via Twitter to some babe would have been a flash of brilliance, because these are the smartest guys in politics you'll ever find.
Let me grab a phone call here.
I got other stuff to do, but some people responding already to that which has been said.
Starting in Arlington, Virginia, this is uh Seth.
Welcome, sir.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Thank you, R. So I'm looking at this and I'm saying two adults exchanging, or actually seven if there's six women, exchanging uh pictures in a consensual way.
And I guess it's none of my business.
It was none of the reporter's business.
It was none of anyone else's business.
How is this different?
Yeah, I mean, you're talking about how smart everybody is.
You tell us how smart you are every day.
But how is this different from you going to you know the sexual tourist destination of Dominican Republic with a bottle of Viagra and having that split all over the headlines?
How did you like that?
Why is this different?
Well, but what you describe about me isn't true.
And I guess what you're suggesting here is that getting caught having sex affairs is only stupid when Republicans do it.
No.
But I I didn't I didn't know this, you know, you are you're you're repeating internet rumors based in hatred and misinformation and typical brainlessness on the left.
None of that which you described took place whatsoever.
But you know what?
Even if it had, even if it had, it doesn't change what Wiener did.
And it doesn't change the way Wiener is handled it.
And it doesn't change what Bill Clinton did, and it doesn't change Bill Clinton lying under oath.
It doesn't change any of the reprobate activities that the Democrats and leaders of that party have engaged in.
It doesn't change a thing.
If you want to take refuge and if you want to seek comfort, you want to try to excuse this depravity by believing BS and believes.
And getting your jollies by calling here and repeating that stuff.
You might as well have thrown in some of the quotes that I never said about slavery when trying to buy a part of the St. Louis Rams.
But it's people like you present the rest of us with the greatest challenge we have in saving the country.
Because general glittering jewels of colossal ignorance like you and your hate-filled partisanship are primarily responsible.
People just like you are primarily responsible for the precarious position this great nation finds itself in.
Because you can't be counted on for genuine decent citizenship.
You can't be counted on to protect this Country when it's under assault internally.
You seek your jollies in false victories over your political enemies while your country is in the process of going down in flames.
It's people like you that try to make excuses for reprobates like Wiener and Clinton and so forth, while immersing yourself in lies to make yourself feel good that present a problem for the rest of us.
Feel sorry for you.
You're probably capable of much more than you're immersing yourself in.
I gotta take a brief time out.
We'll be back.
We'll continue right after this.
It's Al Rushmore serving humanity simply by showing up.
That's all it takes.
Fastest three hours in media.
The first one is in the can, on the way already to the Limbaugh Broadcast Museum, which you can visit at rushlimbaugh.com.
