Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Okay, you know who I am?
You know what this is, so let's go.
800-282-2882 is the phone number if you want to be on the program.
Mayor Bloomberg.
We got a light of fire under Mayor Bloomberg.
I know how to do it.
We need to tell Mayor Bloomberg that this American citizen.
Who, by the way, says it was our drone operations in Pakistan.
It ticked him off, and it's why I did the bomb.
So could we say that Obama is out there creating new terrorists with his policies?
We need to tell we something needs to tell Bloomberg that uh that Shabazz here, whatever his name is, uh Nosehair Shabazz, the uh the bomber is uh heavy user of salt, big time smoker.
That will light Bloomberg's fire.
Uh greetings, folks.
Great to have you here.
I thought, I thought Obamacare was the solution.
I thought Obamacare was the solution, not the problem.
Bill Clinton said, if you Democrats, it's almost exactly what he said.
Hey, look, you guys, I just want to tell you the truth.
Now, I I we tried health care back in 1993, 1994.
And we got we, as you know, we got schlacked the midterms, and the reason why is because we fail to pass health care.
If you, if you want to guarantee yourself re-election this time, in 2010, you you you will pass that health care bill and send it up there uh for for the president to sign.
And I that's the only way.
If you don't do anything, I hate to tell you, if you don't do anything, you are toast.
So they followed his uh instructions.
David Obi will not seek re-election in a major blow.
To the Socialist Democrat Party of America, House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obi has told close associates he will not seek re-election, and an announcement of his plans is expected as early as today.
The Wisconsin Democrat faces tough poll numbers at home.
But until Tuesday night, his staff had insisted he was running aggressively.
He had uh hired campaign staff, but a person close to him confirmed the decision to politico Wednesday, said that Obi was preparing to make a statement.
This is big because he was considered to be untouchable.
Uh the appropriations committee chairman.
You don't give up that kind of power unless you think you are going to be shockingly embarrassed and lose in an election.
Because if you lose an election, it's a lot tougher to get a meaningful job than if you quit now and then go to the regime and say, okay, look, I fell on the sword for you guys, I fell on the sword for Clinton.
I'll make it worth my while.
The Obama administration.
From Politico again, British Petroleum and its employees have given more than three and a half million dollars to federal candidates over the past 20 years.
The largest chunk of their money over the last 20 years has gone to Barack Obama.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, donations come from a mix of employees and the company's political action committee.
2.89 million dollars flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs, and about $638,000 from individuals.
On top of that, the oil giant has spent millions each year on lobbying, including $15.9 million last year alone, as it has tried to influence energy policy.
Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP Pack and individual money over the past 20 years.
The Rock Hussein Obama.
And there's a website out there called Mediaite.
And on their posting of this story, oh, you can see where this is going.
Likely straight to Rush Limbaugh's radio show.
And I didn't make it the lead because I didn't want these guys to be a hundred percent correct.
That the Washington Post today, Karen Tumulty, did she leave Time Magazine?
Karen Tumulty.
She does both.
She will oh, that's right.
State control media interchangeable uh inter I just got a note that newsweek's for sale.
Somebody sent me another newsweek's for sale and said, let's buy it, Rush.
I yeah, for sale or foreclosed.
Um buy newsweek.
Oh, man, I don't I don't know.
It's this guaranteed loser proposition unless we change the content.
Probably change the content.
Well, we'll we'll look into it.
I mean, it's just that that's just one of these.
Well, I know I'm a publishing magnet, the most widely read uh uh political newsletter in the country today.
Uh everybody says you gotta do another book, Rush.
I mean, the book's made to order, yeah, I gotta do that too.
Now they know you'll buy Newsweek.
People wanting me to buy in the NFL.
Uh people want me to buy CBS, NBC, Comcast beat me to that.
Uh can't do it all, folks.
Plus, uh, well, but that would all be part of the mix of saving America, buying Newsweek, buying a uh CBS, NBC, and shutting them down.
Uh but other people beat me too.
Anyway, back to Karen Tummulty.
This is unbelievable.
In the Washington Post, here's the headline oil spill, failed bombing, offer Obama a challenge of message, comma management.
I'm not gonna bother excerpting the entire story for you, but summarizing it.
Uh they asked the question here how how how can Obama convey a sense of competence?
They're asking the question, okay.
He's got an opportunity here.
An opportunity to convey competence, thereby admitting he's not conveying competence right now.
Karen Tumulty says it's very easy.
Just success and list all the successes.
And then when you look in the story for her successes, you don't find any.
You don't find very many.
For many Americans, this could go down as the scariest week of the Obama presidency, but depending on how well Obama and his team do, it might be an opportunity.
After all, this is a White House whose watchword was once summed up by Rahmanuel, you never want to waste the Syria or never want a serious crisis to go to waste.
Exactly right.
As I said yesterday, there are no solutions.
There are only demons, state-run media, Karen Tumulty, Washington Post, desperately hoping Obama can somehow convey competence in this.
So let's let's look at where we are here.
David Obi, no Moss, no Moss.
Obama, we learned, turns out to be the biggest recipient of British petroleum BP money.
He was also the biggest recipient of Goldman Sachs cash.
And he's out there lecturing about the evil of big corporations and the need to silence them during political campaigns.
The Supreme Court had their ruling, these people can now get involved in politics.
The Democrats, oh no, they can't.
We're gonna write legislation countermanding a Supreme Court ruling.
And yet Obama's out there taking all this big money from BP and Goldman Sachs and lectures us about the evil of big corporations and the need to shut them up.
You know, I mean I've been thinking about this, folks, ever since this brilliant monologue of yesterday, which I uh we're gonna turn into a uh uh a timeline at the Limbaugh letter.
Uh I got in touch with the editrix there uh when she's taking time off from using her whips and chains on the staff, Diana Schneider.
And I said, we want to add the timeline here of no solutions, only demons, to the next issue of the limbaugh letter.
And so she said, fine, which of course she's obligated to do.
So we are we're gonna have that done in the next issue.
That was yesterday's, and I've been thinking about this.
We have people, folks, seriously now.
We have people doing all they can to keep this country safe.
We really do.
The NYPD, the FBI in this terrorist case, men and women who are working day and night to stop this oil spill in the Gulf.
They have absolutely no leadership from Washington, no leadership from Obama.
They only have demonization from the White House.
The White House is now trying to dump it off on Emirates Airlines or trying to dump off this guy flew back and forth to Pakistan 13 times.
What worth what's worth the no-fly list?
How many of you people keeping up with this story?
You ought to be at your wit's end.
Here is this guy on a no-fly list, or maybe not on the no-fly list.
Should be.
Back and forth to Pakistan 13 times, is able to call on the way, make a cash reservation for a sea.
Meanwhile, you're stripping down to your underwear and getting wand and securitized with the rest of the grandmothers, and this guy, smooth sailing, wherever he wants to go, Pakistan, but we still can't find what religion this guy is if you read the state control media.
All you know all you find out is this guy is an American citizen.
And now we learn he's ticked off at Obama's drone campaign.
So Obama's creating new terrorists out there.
Isn't that what they said about Bush going into Iraq?
Oh yeah, oh, oh, oh yeah.
This uh this uh Shabbaz Nosehair, whatever his name is, doesn't it?
We all know who I'm talking about.
Uh let me get it.
Faisal Faisal or Faisal uh Shazad, is that it?
Uh well Noshair was the guy that got in there and and uh uh uh Mayor Kahani uh want to make line.
At any rate, uh yeah, he he hated Bush, folks.
State control media now that this terrorist hated Bush.
We called this yesterday, predicted this was going to happen, foreclosed on, blame Bush for a whole bunch of stuff, blame Bush for the war on terror, now upset that our drone attacks in Pakistan.
So we have all of these people, we have really, and we're not showing them enough appreciation because we're all following the template from the White House, which is how can we give Obama credit for competence in the oil spill and in these terrorist mishaps.
Rather than focus, eleven people died in the Gulf in this rig explosion.
We have people from BP and a number of others trying to stem the tide of the oil.
The NYPD and the FBI working 24-7 to keep New York safe, and that who is their biggest obstacle?
The incompetent people in this administration in this regime.
They get no leadership from Washington, they got no leadership from Obama.
What do we get?
We get press statements.
We get self-serving talking points, leak to friendly media.
Oh, yeah, we were on this from day one.
We're on the case.
We know exactly what we're doing here.
Why?
This is uh this is a one-off.
We have uh total competence here, know exactly what we're doing.
What we have here is weakness in leadership all across the country.
New York, Bloomberg is no Giuliani.
Bloomberg has made a literal of himself.
It is absolutely I it's it's it's breathtaking.
It's beyond comprehension.
Oh, yeah, Katie, no question, this guy is a tea partier.
White guy, probably ticked off, mid-40s, probably ticked off at the health care bill, didn't even have the sense to blame it on Arizona's immigration law.
Then after it's discovered who this guy really is, I'm not gonna tolerate any backlash against Muslims and Middle Easterners in New York.
Well, I'd know Giuliani and Bloomberg get along, but uh sorry, Bloomberg is no Giuliani.
Obama has not surrounded himself with people of experience or skill.
He doesn't have one person.
He's and and that's saying something.
He's the least qualified guy in whatever room he walks into, including all the people he has surrounding him, department heads, cabinet secretaries, czars or whatever, not one of them with any practical experience in any of these areas.
In oil, in energy, anything in the private sector.
And the only people he's got at the FBI and over State Department of Pentagon that he's put there don't agree with our position on the war on terror.
Wanna have a trial for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in Manhattan?
He's surrounded by leftist hacks, deer in the headlight ice types, this big cis out there, Janet Napolitano.
There is no expertise.
A lot of really quote unquote smart people.
A lot of smart people, they think, but no practical expertise at the highest levels.
Obama himself is incapable of uh of real later leadership, folks.
He blames Bush for this, he blames Bush for that, he blames BP for this or that.
He never grabs events by the horns and takes control over them.
He's not redistributing wealth or grabbing power.
If he's not, he is without the ability to act.
If he if he is taken off of his agenda, if anything comes along to distract him from his agenda of the of the transformation of America from a capitalist to a socialist economy, he's lost.
He doesn't know how to handle it.
So you gotta blame BP.
See, there is no solution to anything.
There are only demons.
If Obama had done something effective Or substantive.
Now listen to me, and I'm very I'm dead serious about this, and I'm I'm not saying what I'm saying here to be partisan against Obama.
These are serious things happening here.
It is sheer, I'm gonna I'm just gonna come out and say it.
And I don't mean this to be casting aspersions on the NYPD or the FBI, but we have this this case, the more I look at it, this uh this uh the the Faisal Shabbat dumb luck, pure dumb luck at every step of the way in this case.
No competence from the administration, no leadership whatsoever.
If Obama had done something effective or substantive, or even useful, for example, on day one or day two or day three of the oil spill, his staff would have already leaked it, and the fawning media would have already reported it, and we would have had pictures of Obama in the situation room.
We would have had Obama surrounded by oil wells as he's learning about what happened here.
If he had done anything substantive, we would have known about it.
But we get nothing other than, oh yeah, we've been on this from day one.
We're not told how.
We're not told what he's doing, because he didn't do anything.
He's clueless.
And worse yet, he's too arrogant to learn.
He doesn't think he has anything to learn.
He thinks he knows it all, just like your kids.
At one point, didn't your kids think they knew it all, and you're the biggest idiot in the world?
Well, we are the kids, and Obama's the parent, and he doesn't have anything else to learn, and we don't know what we're talking about.
Times Square affair, he's not in charge.
He's not even taking charge.
Other people are working on this.
He passed this.
Look at the health care.
He passed this massive government-run health care bill, and he's done with it.
He's done with it, unless he decides he wants to expand it.
Okay, that's over.
How can I next transform the country?
All the problems, all the issues that uh are with it now and will arise from the health care bill, he doesn't care.
It doesn't matter to him at all.
Now it's just on to the next thing.
Quick time out.
I gotta I gotta break here because I'm a little long in this segment.
Sit tight, much more straight ahead right after this on the EIB network.
Don't go away.
Fox News reported this morning that uh uh Shahzad, uh Nozer Shazad, returned to Pakistan 13 times over the last 10 years.
He still wasn't on any watch list.
The first time he went on the watch list was Saturday at 12 p.m.
And meanwhile, all of us practically get strip searched at whatever airport we head into, and this guy's not even on the no-fly list despite all of these trips back and forth to Pakistan, and you couple that with everything else is known about the guy.
There's there's not there's literally no competence, nobody has any idea what is happening.
This administration, I was talking a moment ago about how they think they're the smartest, and their media buddies think they're the smartest.
What the media considers smart is what the ancient Greeks used to call sophistry.
You've heard me use that word, sophistry.
The sophists were just teachers of rhetoric.
Like George Lakoff rhymes with, is a sophist.
All they do is teach rhetoric.
And Biden isn't even good at that.
You couldn't even put him up to the level of being a sophist.
David Obey.
David Obi, not only, ladies and gentlemen, is David Obi, the retiring now chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, David Obi is the guy who brought the gavel down when health care reform passed on that awful Sunday in Washington.
And he used the same gabble as the one used to gavel Medicare.
And now, not even six months later, David Obi, no Moss, no Moss.
Barack Hussein Obama.
Mm.
Hmm.
Hmm, what did he say last week?
At some point you uh Don't need any more money.
Something like that.
Okay, so he's the leading recipient of campaign cash from British petroleum and Goldman Sachs, could we say to President Obama at some point you think you've raised enough money?
You think you have enough campaign cash, Mr. President?
You're gonna sit there and tell Americans, yeah, at some point, don't you think you have enough money?
Some point you got enough.
Don't you think you've raised enough, Mr. President?
It's astonishing to me, ladies and gentlemen, when we have a serious challenge as a nation, we have two of them right now.
No one really thinks Obama's up to it.
Or has anything to say to rally the people or can lead.
Nobody.
Nobody thinks Obama's up to it.
That's why Karen Tumulty in the Washington Post today.
Golden opportunity for Obama to convey competence.
Well, if you gotta convey it, it must mean you're not doing it now.
And her solution to that, yeah, just start listing your successes.
There aren't any that the American people support.
And it's Rush Limbaugh, the EIB network on fire today, enjoying every flame and every smoldering ember.
Telephone number 800 282-2882 if you want to be on the program.
You know what the smartest thing Obama could have done when this oil rig blew up?
Call Sarah Palin and her husband.
Do you realize that Sarah Palin and her husband have a gazillion times the knowledge and experience in the oil business than does Barack Hussein Obama?
Hmm.
Hmm.
What is Obama do?
What does he actually do, folks?
I don't care what happens, you can have a disaster.
You could have uh a near terrorist bomb go off, you have the oil spill.
What does Obama do?
He still goes out, and all he can do is talk about what should be and what can be if only he were more powerful and if the government were bigger.
If he is forced to actually address real world events and issues, he is without direction.
He doesn't have any experience.
He is entirely lost in the unless there's somebody that can put a paragraph or two on the teleprompter.
He can't come up with it himself.
All he can say to everything that happens, first, whatever happens, demonize somebody on the terror bomb, demonize emirate airlines, demonize whoever, demonize British petroleum, demonize the oil industry in general, and then say, if we had more power, if I had the ability to do things I can't now do, the government are bigger.
Well, this would never happen.
That's his sole approach to everything.
Whatever goes wrong, it's because government isn't big enough.
And he doesn't have enough power.
We see this with unemployment.
Obama likes to say that we are in an economic recovery, and that he has saved the nation from the brink.
But there is no recovery.
And there was no brink, by the way.
He says these things because they are entirely and purely self-serving.
When you look, honestly now, ladies and gentlemen, when you look at the real world implications of what Obama has done, he has killed jobs and job creation for years to come.
He has bankrupted the nation.
Take a look at Greece.
Greece, one-third of the workforce in Greece works for the government.
Greece about the size of New York State, in terms of population.
The unions, public and private, will not make any concessions whatsoever.
Now there are riots over austerity, even after bailouts.
All around us we see our future.
Wherever we look in the world, we can see it.
Even within our own borders.
We can see it if Arizona doesn't act regarding immigration.
We can see it in California regarding pensions and other unfunded liabilities.
We can see it in Venezuela.
We can see it in Greece throughout the European Union.
We can see our future precisely because of the lack of leadership and the total devotion to ideology that we have in the White House today.
Saved jobs, created jobs, brought us back from the brink.
In the real world, he has killed jobs.
He has killed job creation for years to come.
He has bankrupted the country.
He has been a complete and total disaster.
This is why I wanted him to fail.
He has succeeded in making a disaster.
He cannot, and he will not fix anything because of his ideology.
It will not allow him to change course.
And besides that, folks, Obama's actions were never about fixing or reforming anything.
They were all about advancing his ideology.
Look at him today.
Does he seem concerned?
Has he ever seemed concerned about high unemployment?
Does he do anything constructive about it?
Other than ask for more power or hold more summits or do more town hall meetings.
Is there ever anything he does that experience has taught us works in terms of job creation?
Zilch, zero nada.
In fact, he has used a recession to strike one blow after another against the country.
And he accomplishes another thing.
Another case is immigration.
Obama could not wait to jump on Arizona.
He could not wait to jump on the governor.
He couldn't wait to jump on the legislators out there.
He couldn't wait to jump on the people of Arizona.
To lie about their law, to race bait.
This is what he does.
That does not require any skill or knowledge.
That is sophistry.
A person of pure rhetoric.
He has failed to address the border problem in any effective way, and he's incapable of it.
His ideology will not permit it.
What do you mean by that, Rush?
Because he looks at people of color as disadvantaged minorities.
He looks at people of color all over the world as having been oppressed.
He looks at people of color as the genuine owners of the world's wealth who've been shut out of it.
So if you've heard people say, Rush, well, these people around the world just want a better life.
Yeah, they want a better life, and they need a better life, and they would have had a better life if it hadn't been for the United States.
That's Obama.
His ideology will not allow him in any way, shape, or form to permit corrective action on any of our problems.
So the border will remain porous and the conditions dangerous.
But when it comes to demagoguing the issue, he will blame others.
He will attack the state of Arizona.
He'll attack the governor.
He'll attack the people.
He'll send Clinton out to attack talk radio.
He'll attack the Tea Party.
But he will accomplish nothing positive for the country.
Can somebody tell me one thing positive for the country he has accomplished?
I'm serious.
One thing positive.
It isn't there.
Everybody that gets in the way of his agenda is demonized.
Every problem that arises has no solution.
In many cases, Obama's ideology tells him that the problem is a genuine deserved problem.
That we have to understand why these people are doing what they're doing.
Because it's our fault.
We have created all of this animus against us around the world.
Let's go to the audio sound bites last night on Mess NBC.
Patrick Leahy, question.
We read Miranda Rights, we didn't torture, and we're getting information from this terrorist.
This is kind of a textbook case in how it's supposed to work, isn't it?
We got the person who did this.
They crossed all the T's, they dotted all the I's.
But what I find frustrating are the people of Mr. Limbaugh, of course, that he wants a president to fail, even though the country would fail.
This really bothers me because after 9-11, even though the ball had been dropped, even though 9-11 could have been avoided, if everybody done what they should have, Democrats and Republicans came together and said, okay, that happened.
Let's make it better so this doesn't happen again.
We are taking out Al-Qaeda leaders all over the world.
We I wish we could talk, we can't, but I wish we could talk publicly about all the plots that we've disrupted that we stopped before they even got to our soil.
It's been one success after another.
Oh, isn't it wonderful why we've been so successful that we can't even tell anybody because it would compromise our techniques.
Senator Leahy, have you no shame?
You are a member of a party that did everything you could to secure defeat for your country because you wanted to defeat George W. Bush throughout the war on terror, and especially in Iraq.
And you're out there, you and your party are saying that the evasion of Iraq all it did was create more terrorists.
And now we have a terrorist in captivity who says that he only did what he did because of our drone operations in his native land of Pakistan.
I don't hear you saying, Obama's out there creating more terrorists with our policy.
I don't know.
You're talking about mythical, magical, solutions to imaginative or imaginary terrorist plots that we don't have any information on.
Somehow I got thrown in this mix this failure business.
I only wish he had.
Uh, had he failed in all of this, we wouldn't be as a nation where we are.
Have you noticed in the coverage of uh the Shazad guy that they keep saying he was an amateur?
At 1230 p.m. on Monday, more certain that Mr. Shazad was a suspected terrorist, investigators asked the Department of Homeland Security to put him on the no-fly list.
After 13 trips back and forth.
Three minutes later, the department sent airlines, including Emirates, an electronic notification that they should check the no-fly list for an update.
About 4 30 p.m.
More information was added to the list, including Shazad's passport number.
Workers at Emirates Airlines evidently did not check the list because at 6 30, Mr. Shazad called the airline and booked a flight to Pakistan via Dubai.
7.35, he arrived at the airport, he paid cash for his ticket, was given a boarding pass.
Airlines are not required to report cash purchases, said a Homeland Security official.
Emirates actually did report his purchase to the Transportation Security Administration, but only hours later when he was already in custody.
So when his undetonated bomb was first discovered in Times Square, we were told not to fret, not to fret.
I mean, this guy is the work of an amateur.
This is this guy a family man, upset with his house being foreclosed.
Don't worry about this.
I mean, this guy is nothing more than a hapless bumbling gomer pile out there.
Shazad was off on his own, he was clueless.
No need to worry.
The bomb was unsophisticated.
He was an idiot for not setting the time correctly.
He's the work of an amateur.
This amateur drove a car loaded with explosives into Times Square undetected.
This amateur left the scene undetected.
This amateur evaded FBI surveillance team on its way to the airport, and nobody knew what his destination was until a final passenger list was sent to customs and border protection just before takeoff.
Did this amateur know that Emirates Airlines might be late to act on alerts and the no-fly lists?
Did this amateur know about paying cash?
The exception in doing so, the airlines are not required to report cash purchases.
So this amateur, after doing all this, boards a jet and damn near got away.
If Shazad was such a bumbling stupid amateur, what does that make Janet Napolitano?
And whoever she's in charge of at Homeland Security.
And she and Eric Holder are out there congratulating themselves for what?
For capturing Gomerpile?
Why do you throw a party and celebrate how great and competent you are if this guy was nothing more than a rank amateur who nearly got away with it?
Who nearly pulled it off and nearly got away with it.
The reason, folks, the reason the Obama administration is stonewalling Congress on the Fort Hood terror attack by an Islamic extremist.
Tell you why.
They do not want attention drawn to the utter incompetence and how that entire episode went down.
Apparently a whole bunch of rank amateur jihadists are outsmarting our wizards at Smart at Janet Napolitano's agency.
So if these guys, if that's going to be their storyline, don't worry about it, folks.
We got it under control.
Got nothing but an amateur.
What's that make Janet Napolitano?
Faisal Shazad, ladies and gentlemen, has told U.S. authorities that he got five months of bomb-making training in Pakistan.
My question is, how much training has Janet Napolitano received for her job as the head of the Department of Homeland Security.
This guy, five months of bomb-making training, just an amateur out there.
What is Nepalitano?
By the way, maybe, maybe this is what Obama is doing from the Boulder, Colorado Daily Camera.
Boulder Man hopes to stop Gulf of Mexico oil spill with meditation.
Do you remember harmonic convergence?
Back in the 80s, I think I was working in Sacramento at the time.
A bunch of leftists wanted people to go to the top of Mount Shasta and sit there and just um and send out vibes all over the world for world peace, nuclear peace, to convince Reagan not to blow up the Soviet Union.
Honest to God, I have a story here from the Boulder Daily Camera.
One boulder man calling upon people around the world to try a different, simpler tack in stopping the oil leak, and that is meditation.
Maybe this is what Obama's doing.
The basic concept is to try and get as many people to visualize that the valve is actually functioning and is working in closing, said Carl Fuhrmann, a staff member at the University of Colorado's registrar office.
I'm not, I'm not kidding.
We should all sit here and meditate that the valve is working, and the power of our vibes will stop the oil leak out there.
This is exactly what we're being told to do.
All right, to the phones we go.
Phil, Minneapolis, great to have you, sir.
You're up first today on the Rush Limbaugh program.
Hi.
It is truly an honor to speak with you, sir, and truly an honor to lead off the show.
Uh, you are so brilliant so quickly.
I just wanted to point out that uh your observation that Obama simply stands in front of people and talks and continues the campaign is a textbook Chicago neighborhood organizer move.
That's what they do.
They just will run around neighborhoods and yell and point fingers with no substance.
Oh, exactly.
Sophistry, pure sophistry.
Whatever happens.
Obama says it wouldn't happen if the government was bigger.
British Petroleum, it's their problem.
It's their fault.
It's uh Emirates Airlines, it's their problem.
Follow the ambulance, it's their problem.
For all we need to do is more power for me and a bigger government.
And that is what I'm out there doing.
Every thing that goes wrong is an opportunity to grow government, is a crisis to maximize opportunities.
Uh, and to find and portray new demons.
Here is uh Gretchen in the Gulf Coast.
It's great to have you on the Rush Limbaugh program.
Hi.
Hey, great to be with you on this pretty day down here.
Thank you.
Thank you.
My thing is, listening to you, Carly, I've been trying to call in for a couple of days because I went to scream into the phone.
The oil spill and all the arguments and the senator or whatever in Florida, we're not going to drill here offshore.
They're making the perfect case for onshore drilling, baby.
And uh, and there it is.
It's so much easier to drill to get oil out of the ground on shore, put it in the truck and haul it to the refinery than it is underwater.
It's a logistic nightmare dealing with underwater.
And on land, I mean, I just only think all these people who are screaming about no offshore drilling are making a wonderful argument for onshore drilling.
Well, they may be, but of course, what they're trying to do is shut down all drilling.
This is their ultimate objective.
