Hey Mike, I want you to do me a favor.
I want you to grab the bank amigo parody.
They got the bank amigo parody standing by.
Just give me a quick flash when you have the bank amigo parody ready to go.
By the way, somebody tell me, was there a new episode of Lost Last Night or not?
I have my TiVo set up to record the Lost series, and somehow I've got I got five TiVos set up to do it, and not one of them did.
And I went to play back what I thought was the most recent one that won't play back.
The thing was in use.
I went to the iTunes trying to get the latest uh episode of Lost.
It's the one from last week, so and I haven't had chance to go look at it at a grid guide to find out if there was a new lost last night.
Somebody tell me.
Rush Limbaugh 8008.
Well, because I have more important things to do, Sturdly.
Look it up.
That's what you're for.
800-282-288.
If you want to be on the program, the email address Lrushbaugh EIB net.com.
Um I'm not quite through this immigration stuff before we get to the financial stuff.
Seems to me, ladies and gentlemen, that Obama and the Democrats are demonizing government employees.
Aren't the governor and legislators of Arizona who passed this bill government employees?
Are they not?
And who the hell's out there demonizing them?
Where's Bill Clinton when you need him?
I mean, we got we got state employees.
You get government employees being beaten as pinatas.
The mayor out there, the governor's being beaten with her face on a pinata.
Where's Clinton when you need him?
Where's all the concern about the violence that might visit these state government employees?
I don't see any concern for that.
And wasn't there a push?
I know there was because we sat satirized it, the a push mostly from Liberal Democrats to give legals identification back in 2007.
It came up during the campaign so they could have some form of ID so they could open bank accounts.
In other words, we wanted illegals to have papers.
And we satirized it with bank amigo.
Yeah, so we're going to give them identification so they can open bank accounts.
We were going to give them papers.
Oh good.
Lost was a repeat of several weeks ago.
Good.
What are they doing repeats though?
This is the final finale season.
I guess they had to skip a week to make the May sweeps.
Okay, good.
That's why my TiVo machines didn't record it.
Actually, I don't have TiVo, I got direct TV receivers, it's the same thing.
Uh it was a repeat of several weeks ago.
Well.
Well, that burns me up.
I was looking forward to it.
It's the only thing I was looking forward to last night.
I was all alone last night except for that.
I tuned in, I did some show prep, tune about 1015, I'm sitting down on a couch, a little adult beverage, a turn of what I think is gonna be lost, and it's not there.
God, I can't tell you how sad I was.
How disappointed.
What's I'm not gonna- you know, Sturdley's been trying to push the show true blood on me.
I I do not I I I since I was a child, I have not understood the fascination with vampires.
Nothing against Ann Rice.
He's a great writer, but I'd never have gotten they don't exist.
There's no such thing, and there's nothing charming about it.
There's what is the fam w what what possible benefit fantasy-wise, there's a vampire attacking you.
Or being one.
I just have never understood it.
True blood.
Oh, you d oh, that it.
You live forever and you don't need health care.
Is that what it is?
Speaking of health care.
Had this from the stack yesterday, didn't get to it.
Associated press.
Some families will face a weight to cover young adults.
President Obama's health care overhaul was supposed to take care of a major worry for parents of 20-year-olds making the transition to work, keeping the kids insured.
But what sounds like a simple solution starting this year, letting young adults stay on their parents' health plan until they turn 26 involves a surprising amount of fine print.
As a consequence, some families may have to wait until 2011 to get their kids covered, particularly if the parents are working for a large employer.
This according to benefits experts and government officials.
Some employers weighing whether to immediately extend coverage for young adults are wondering whether they'll have to withhold additional federal taxes from parents to cover the value of the what the benefit.
You mean it's not free?
You mean parents are going to have to pay more for this?
Who knew?
And we had to pass this to find River Pelosi, so we're going to pass the bill to find out what's in it.
Yeah.
College graduations are just weeks away.
The economy's still uncertain.
The number one inquiry that corporate benefit managers are getting from employees is how they can keep their adult children on the company plan.
Uh but they're having all kinds of problems out there because it's also unclear how employers will charge for the new coverage.
They could spread the cost across their entire pool of employees with family coverage, or they could charge families that elect to cover their young adults a separate premium, likely high.
Well, I thought this was all going to be free.
I thought the kids staying on the parents' health insurance plan was free.
Who knew?
We had to pass the bill to find out that it's going to cost us more money.
Oh, those lying sacks excrement.
How dare they mislead us about this?
And plus, it's not going to be until 2011.
Here is uh the haughty Senator Carey, who very, very got very outraged when people challenged his patriotism.
This is this morning on Imus on WABC in New York.
Imus, I don't think it's fair for these senators to suggest that Goldman was taking advantage of a bunch of innocent people who didn't know what they were doing.
I think people really just sense that there's a lack of uh patriotism in it.
There's a lack of concern about the country.
It's just, hey, let's make our money and run.
And devil be damned what the implications are.
And here we go.
So Wall Street officials suffered from a lack of patriotism in their practices during the financial crisis, according to Senator Carrie, who, by the way, served in Vietnam.
And of course, the Democrats and Congress who caused this crisis are what?
Carrie suggested that Wall Street showed a disregard for the public good during the run-up to the financial crisis in the fall of 2008.
And Chris Dodd and Barney Frank were showing a disregard to whom?
Senator Carey.
Carrie said, I think people really just censors a lack of patriotism in it.
There's a lack of concern about the country.
Hey, let's just make our money and run.
Devil be damned what the implications are.
Alright.
Uh that same thing could have come out of Barney Frank's mouth.
And Dingy Harry has accused Republicans of being anti-American for blocking a Wall Street regulation bill from coming to the Senate floor.
Standard and Poor's cut its ratings on Spain by one notch to double A from A plus Wednesday, saying a longer than expected period of low growth could undermine efforts to cut the budget deficit.
Actually, two jobs here.
The second one, green stimulus money, costs more job uh jobs than it creates, according to a study.
Every green job, and we've had this before, every green job created with government money in Spain over the last eight years came at the cost of 2.2 regular jobs.
So Spain has been downgraded.
Guess what?
Spain is California, because Spain is the capital of green jobs, which are a net job loser.
Have to remember the factors that have driven Spain into the toilet.
It's called liberalism.
And the face of their liberalism has been green jobs.
A brief timeout.
Rush Limbaugh and the EIB network back after this.
Snirdley just brought some flowers.
And when do we get these flowers?
Did you just get them now?
Because they're not even open yet.
No, I mean they're not fully bloomed.
It's great.
They're gonna last for a week.
We just got some more Pro Flowers roses in here.
This obviously for uh for Mother's Day.
Mother's Day is coming up pretty soon, and you know I'm talking about Proflowers when I mention this.
And I'm looking at them right now.
These the most gorgeous colors.
There's even some orange.
And of course the bright red, pink, white.
And it's gonna be a couple days before they open up.
These things are gonna last a week here.
Um anyway, Mother's Day coming up, there's a special special order, special deal from ProFlow for you, the EIB Loyalist, 100 blooms for your mom, just 1999 plus shipping and a free glass vase.
Now, I have sent this bouquet before.
It's as gorgeous as it is impressive.
It scores points with whomever you send it to.
And at this price point, I mean, 1999, you could send to a lot of other women who are mothers, sisters-in-law, mothers in law, what have you, to score major points right there.
Just go to RushProflowers.com and place your order today.
100 blooms.
That's not what I'm looking at.
I'm looking at roses here, but uh you can see it on the website at Rushproflowers.com.
100 blooms for Mother's Day, rushproflowers.com or call them 1-800 PRO flowers.
Now the blooms offer ends Friday, a couple days from now, so order El Quico.
Here he is, Dingy Harry, this afternoon at a press conference.
All the talk of the Republicans about wanting to do something about this bill before it gets on the floor is really anti-Senate, anti-American.
They keep stalling and they keep stalling.
And it appears that they're more concerned about taking care of the fat cats in Wall Street than they are the people who aren't so fat.
The people who have been hit so hard, the consumers of America.
Um not a single word of truth from these people.
But here we go.
They can call Republicans anti-American, but we can't call a genuine phony soldier a phony soldier.
Republicans, anti-Senate, anti-American.
They keep stalling.
Let me tell you why.
The financial regulatory reform bill is 1,336 pages long.
It's said to be far more convoluted than the health care bill.
When are we going to find out what's really in the financial regulatory reform bill?
Byron Dorgan, if the disclosures at these hearings are not the final nail that persuades the American people to demand this be done now, I don't know what would be.
Big problem, though, for the leftist majorities in Congress.
The American people just don't believe Washington has any idea about why the financial crisis happened or how to regulate it.
Rasmussen, 64% of Americans are not confident that policymakers in Washington know what they are doing.
when addressing the current economic problems on Wall Street.
I don't care where you look, folks.
The Democrats are on the losing side of every poll.
There is no confidence in them or Obama on any issue.
Obama didn't get a bounce out of health care.
The governor of Arizona got a 16-point bounce when the immigration law there was passed.
Obama has yet to get a bounce from his health care bill, Nobody has any faith in the Democrats to do anything, right?
Because they own everything now.
The Heritage Foundation asks, does Byron Dorgan really believe anybody who didn't blindly keep inflating the housing bubble was betting against your country?
Is it now unpatriotic to believe it housing prices cannot infinitely rise?
By the same token, is it unpatriotic to aggressively go after profits, which is what the Democrats seem hellbent on.
Profits are unpatriotic now.
Wall Street is unpatriotic.
Republicans are unpatriotic and un-American.
All from this bunch of people said we shouldn't be demonizing officials in government.
We shouldn't be criticizing elected officials.
What's Dingy Harry doing?
They're calling them un-American.
And Carrie is challenging Wall Street's lack of patriotism.
We're not supposed to talk that way, I thought.
Make no mistake.
One of the main reasons for yesterday's hearing, the Goldman hearing, was to deflect attention away from Washington's role in creating the 2008 financial crisis.
It was the government created and subsidized Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack that played leading roles in the markets at the center of the housing storm.
But the left prioritize their political goals over financial reality.
So once again, they're passing the buck.
They get to act alike spectators.
And after those hearings yesterday, folks, I think Goldman Sachs is going to have a new name.
Obama Goldman Sachs.
May as well be Obama Goldman so look at it.
Blank find supports financial reform legislation.
In a press release late Tuesday, Wall Street's most powerful and prestigious investment banking and securities firm, Goldman Sachs, made a blockbuster announcement, taking everybody except Rush Limbaugh by surprise.
Goldman Sachs revealed it was taking on a new senior partner, Barack Obama.
As of today, the new firm will be known as Obama Goldman Sachs.
This stunning overt marriage of big government and big business is sure to royal markets for the foreseeable future as Wall Street absorbs the news.
Market watchers are betting shares of Obama Goldman Sachs will experience a nifty bounce, despite the fact that President Obama knows nothing about investment banking, much less the private sector.
Experts suggest that Obama's lack of understanding of businesses and the economy will be offset due to his almost unlimited power to regulate markets, tax competitors, and print money.
Details of the arrangement were not readily available when asked for comment, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said, pound sand.
We're in charge of banks and mortgages, car companies, taxes and spending.
And with Lindsey Graham's help, we're soon going to have total control over the energy markets.
Plus we got billions in slush funds at our disposal.
So we can do whatever the hell we want to do, whenever the hell we want to do it, to whomever the hell we want.
We're a big effing deal.
Like the president said, we won.
Deal with it.
That was the report from associated propagandists reporting on the new Wall Street firm Obama Goldman Sachs.
I know it was funny.
That's why I'm host.
Bob in Chicago.
Welcome to the EIV network, sir.
Great to have you with us.
Hey Rush, thanks for taking my call from COC.
You bet.
I uh I have a comment regarding this immigration bit.
I'm a small contractor in the Chicago area.
I've been here for 25 years.
Last year I don't think.
Are you still in business?
I am still in business.
Last year I made under 40,000.
And now I, for two years, I have been I have hired an illegal, unknown to me.
He provided documentation for me, full documentation, which I kept on file.
And when I sent him a W-2 form, I got a letter back from the government that it's incorrect.
Now I have the potential of being fined because I had someone illegal working for me.
And I was told that it's my obligation to check this man out to see if he is illegal or not.
You mean you were to check his papers.
I was to check his papers.
I was to call immigrations here in Broadville.
And you did check his papers, and he had apparently what were legal papers, right?
I looked at his papers.
They look fine to me.
I made copies of them.
I have them on file here, and he told me you want new papers, I get you new papers tomorrow.
For 125 dollars, they can get a full set of papers in Chicago where you get driver's license, social security cards, and green cards.
That's what Obama taught Acorn to do, yeah.
That's I I don't know if Acorn has anything to do with it.
Oh, don't doubt me.
I mean, if Acorn's willing to set up brothels for imports from Central America, I mean they're sure as hell come up with fake ideas and driver's licenses for them.
Well, the uh facility that uh uh provides this paperwork is about within about four miles of Obama's home in Chicago.
So you can't tell me that they were not aware of it, so it very well could be that Acorn has something to do with it.
But come on, that whether it's Acorn or some other name.
What it's a community agitator bunch for Christ.
We got the same, we got the video tape of these clowns openly assisting a pimp set up a whorehouse for illegal alien females from Central America.
So now I'm being fine.
I have the potential being fined 10,000.
Well, what happened when you sent the W 2 to the guy?
Was he not there?
How did the government find out that the guy wasn't real?
Because uh a 1040 form went out with his I mean the W-2 form went out, and it that's how they identified it, because the name on the card did not correspond with the number.
Okay, so identity theft.
Identity theft.
Life lock identity theft is what happened to you, and now you're up for the 10 grand fine, even though you're the one scammed.
Just to reiterate, ladies and gentlemen, it's a very important point, perhaps a theme of today's program concerning illegal immigration and why the regime and the media and all of its supporters are just in a tizzy about the new Arizona immigration law.
It is all about voting.
If papers are required to vote, the Democrats are finished.
They're the radicals.
They are siding against the American people.
This regime siding against the American people.
The only hope they have is for fraud and illegals voting.
And you can't well, you can't really get away with that if everybody has to have a photo ID and legal proof, i.e., papers, that they are citizens.
So under the heading of why this is so important to the Democrats, a federal immigration probe in 1996 into alleged motor voter fraud.
By the way, do you know what the first real act of legislation was for Bill Clinton 93?
Motor voter.
Motor voter, register when you get your driver's license.
Bill Clinton, Democrats.
Anyway, federal federal immigration probe nineteen ninety-six into alleged motor voter fraud in California's Orange County revealed that 4,023 illegal voters possibly cast ballots in the disputed election between Robert Dornan and Loretta Sanchez for Congress.
Dornan lost that race by fewer than 1,000 votes.
And there were alleged to be 4,000 illegal votes.
That is the point.
Obama has told a Republican governor to go to hell.
President Obama has denied aid to individuals affected by March's massive snowstorms.
In Connecticut, Governor M. Jody Rell said she plans to file a formal appeal.
The decision comes just days after Obama approved the state's request for a major disaster declaration, which provides financial help to state and municipal governments.
in Fairfield, Middlesex, and New London counties.
So he took care of his union pals, but not individuals.
Storms plague the state, especially these counties.
From March 12th to the 14th and March 29th to 31st, the governor was looking for help for homeowners, renters, and employers, i.e., the private sector.
Obama said no to them, but he did approve a major disaster declaration to help state and municipal governments.
But not individuals.
See, Goldman Sachs understands with whom they are dealing.
They decided to get in bed with Obama.
He'll put his name on the masthead up there instead of getting slapped around.
This will teach Lieberman a lesson.
This will teach Governor Rell a lesson.
And those voters who put him into office.
Speaking of that, let's go.
Last night in Washington, Capitol Hill, Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
The Goldman Sachs, I'm sorry, the Obama Goldman Sachs CEO, Lloyd Blankfine, Testified during the QA, Republican Senator Tom Coburn said, Do you still maintain support for this financial regulatation a regulation reform bill?
I'm generally supportive.
Financial reform is absolutely you know is essential.
And I will say that um last week uh in New York, I listened to a speech by a Barack Obama at Wall Street, and one of the points he made resonated with me because I said it myself.
Somebody is sucking up during this soundbite.
That that's what you're hearing.
Here, play it again.
I'm generally supportive.
Financial reform is absolutely you know, is essential.
And I will say that um last week uh in New York, I listened to a speech by a Barack Obama at Wall Street, and one of the points he made resonated with me because I said it myself.
He said that the biggest beneficiaries of reform will be Wall Street itself because proper reform will make the market safer, and then I'll add my own piece to the biggest risk that financial institutions have are with each other.
And so to the extent that that's all made safer, I think we'll America will be a big beneficiary, but specifically we will as well.
Translation, please, please join our firm and leave me in charge.
Please.
Last night on the Charlie Rose show, he spoke with Newsweek editor-at-large Evan Thomas about the Goldman Sachs hearings.
Charlie Rose said, you saw no one defending Goldman Sachs except the Goldman Sachs executives.
It's hard to feel sorry for Goldman Sachs, but there's a Stalinist show trial aspect to this.
Stalinist show trial.
Well, they pour these guys up and they wag their finger at them.
The deck is stacked against Goldman.
Even Evan Thomas.
you Yeah, there's a Stalinist show trial up there, but it was deserved.
They deserved it.
To the phones.
Dick, back to Arizona.
He's in Tucson.
Welcome to the EIB network, sir.
Hello.
Rush, it's uh great honor to speak to you first.
Thank you very much.
Uh I'll try to get to the point real quickly here.
I'm a 62-year-old uh resident of uh Green Valley, Arizona, just about uh 30, 40 miles from the the Mexican border.
Uh what we're seeing down here is an absolute travesty.
And uh frankly, I uh uh I'm very, very disappointed in our uh lawmakers uh both in Washington and and locally, but uh I'm really hoping that your listeners uh uh that that support our cause down here, uh push back.
Um our economy has suffered enough.
Um what we'd like to see is a boycott if uh you know San Francisco and uh and California General is gonna boycott us, then your listeners ought to boycott maybe the wineries in California.
Uh I'm all for taking my California wines and pouring them out in the desert.
Well, you know, that's not a bad idea.
I think you need to I'm and I'm I'm I'm not please don't misunderstand this.
But the premier boycott leader in the country is Bill O'Reilly.
He brought France to its knees uh not long ago.
And if uh anybody could succeed in a boycott of uh the wine country, California.
You don't have to call O'Reilly.
I'm sure we hear about this, but I mean he's he's got he's got the power, the wherewithal, the uh he's got the guts to do it.
Well, I've called just about everybody I can think of.
Uh just come down here for a week and walk through the desert.
Last weekend I walked through the desert, two hundred uh sleeping bags, backpacks, blankets, uh cans, bottles of water, uh within about oh, probably a five-mile area.
And you know, you go out to the city.
And this was not people on vacation.
This is not a week later, it's back out there.
Yeah, this was not Arizonans on vacation, right?
Uh not to my knowledge.
No.
Well, here's what I think.
I think I like I said earlier, I think the governor needs to call a press conference, announce all the places in San Francisco where uh uh welfare cases uh the people on welfare get their benefits.
Just give them a map.
I mean, just print up a map of San Francisco.
This where you go if you want this.
This is where you go if you want that.
And to and at press conference for illegal aliens, and then give them all a one-way travel voucher on Greyhound or Amtrak to get them to San Francisco.
I mean, Sanctuary City and all that.
Uh Dick, thanks for the uh for the call out there.
Joe in Spring Valley, New York.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hello.
Yeah, hi, Rush.
Uh, first, I gotta tell you, man, you could you made me so famous.
I used to be an obscure economist.
And my conversation with you about Obama's mother-in-law example, that's on Google with millions of hits.
And based upon that, I gotta get a call from the White House, and they're saying they're willing to meet you too.
So that was my second conversation with you uh some months ago.
Yeah.
All you gotta do is call the White House, and Obama's willing to sit down with you and talk.
Did you did you send me an email about this?
Or have you talked on the program to me about this before?
I forgot.
Yeah, I I have.
On uh in fact, I spoke to you on 911.
And I told you I was about to meet President Obama at an economist to create millions of jobs, and it all started with you.
I do have a vague recollection of this that you but I don't did you tell me this on the phone, or did you tell me in an email?
Are you a website subscriber?
You send me an email to that account.
I I am a website subscriber, but I took a lot of people.
This guy does.
I asked you and you said you're more than willing to meet Obama, but the White House told me uh that all you have to do is call the White House.
Yeah, he sent me this note.
This guy sent me a note.
I read it.
Is it that the White House is willing to talk to you, but they're not gonna reach out to you.
You gotta reach out to them.
And that this guy, Joe in Spring Valley, New York, set it up.
Who knew it was that easy?
We just discussed this.
Rasmussen's latest poll confirms what you already know.
Sixty-four percent of you do not believe Congress is smart enough to write the rules to guide our financial industry with good reforms.
When Barney Frank states that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have little to do with the mortgage crisis, and that it's the likes of Goldman Sachs, Obama Goldman Sachs that are the problem.
You know there's an agenda to make private enterprise the private sector the scapegoat again.
Every one of our freedoms is gonna be under attack in this current administration and Congress, which makes it a busy time for me and uh our friends at the Heritage Foundation.
I'm a member of Heritage, you ought to be.
If you are, you know how every dollar of your membership is hard at work paying attention to the issues that affect our freedom, financial reform, immigration laws, national security, and don't forget, look, folks.
Let me be clear.
The only reason the Obama administration and the Democrat Party is upset about the new Arizona immigration law is because it threatens their attempt at national nationwide voter fraud, which is the only hope they have of winning elections.
They're in such trouble now.
That's all it's about.
All the rest of us just a bunch of poo-bah designed to distract you.
They're scared to death.
That at some point people are gonna have to show photo IDs when they vote, just like you have to everywhere else.
When that happens, they're finished.
Now the Heritage Foundation work on all this immigration, national security, financial reform.
They are a group of intellectuals, but they're not elitists.
They're not a bunch of pointy-headed, arrogant look down their nose, snobs at people.
They're researchers.
They're smart communicators, they get the truth out.
You can access to so much of their information, and they use your support to counter all of this liberal deception.
It's a gold mine to be a member to be able to access what these people do is a genuine privilege.
And the left is not going to stop their march anytime soon.
Heritage only gonna get busier between now and November, like I already am, and even then there's a lot more work to be done going forward.
So just go to Askheritage.org and check it out, look it over, and decide to join.
It's another little bit of ammo in the quiver that we are all going to need.
Jim in Jacksonville, Florida.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hello, sir.
Thank you, Rush.
Listen, just to comment on the immigration Problem.
A U.S. citizen cannot leave the U.S. to enter another country without a U.S. passport where you're asked by the other country what your business is in their country.
Yet these illegals walk in the U.S. by the thousands with ease to trespass upon our goodwill and our laws without punishing.
They receive the financial benefits and profit from Americans' bounty.
Pay for, I might add, by our taxpay-in, law-abiding citizens.
I know.
You know, I made this point earlier in the program.
Why do we even have embassies?
You know, if if if if you um the the if the American embassy in Great Britain or France or wherever, if you are not a citizen, you have to get a visa to come here.
So you go to the why have diplomats?
Why have why not just get rid of passports?
Why not just get rid of them, folks?
That has an excellent point.
Because I made it earlier.
That's why I know it's an excellent point.
But nevertheless, uh look it.
We can fight this on logic grounds, every sentence, and we can smear them.
We can cream them.
But the big thing, the reason why they are so nervous, is that this threatens nationwide voter fraud.
That's what they're concerned about.
The vote.
Pure and simple.
And they're happy to agitate.
They're happy to send a Reverend Zach and uh Reverend Sharpton.
Grab grab Sharpton taking it to the streets.
He's already.
Well, I don't know if he's rehearsing or if he's actually been there, but this is what you can expect to hear when Reverend Sharpton and the boys hit the streets.
There you have it, uh, ladies and gentlemen, the Reverend Sharpton.
On the streets in Arizona, get this from the St. Louis Post to scratch.
The Census Bureau says the return rate is the same as it was in 2000.
So they um they spent a whole, well, how many millions of dollars marketing to get the same exact response, and they put out all that stuff the Republicans' conservatives are not sending it in because they think it's a conspiracy.
Apparently the rate of response is what it always has been.
You remember, folks, what Obama's first organizing job in Chicago was was Project Vote, uh, which is about getting a vote to new votes for Carol Mosley Braun.
And the same project vote got him elected a couple years later.
Project vote to local version of Rock the Vote.
It was an acorn type thing.
Project vote.
New votes, uh, quote unquote new votes.
So amnesty is simply the next project vote.
Export Selection
