And greetings, uh, music lovers, thrill seekers, conversationalists, Rush Lindball meeting and surpassing all audience expectations on a daily basis.
Our telephone number is 800 282-2882 if you want to be on the program today.
Uh email address, Lrushbo at EIB net.com.
Our insurance company representative Stacy did have to go into her meeting.
Uh, we'll be calling her back at 130, 25 minutes from now.
If you missed, she has been regularly calling us over the past six months.
She always goes to some secret location in Atlanta in Georgia to make the phone call to protect herself, but she's been telling us from the insurance company perspective just what's headed their way and thus ours.
And she called today and said uh remember she's the one that started all this Costa Rica business, which is hilarious.
She called here one day and and said that their company, her company had come up with a way to stay in business after this was fully implemented, and that is to set up clinics that they would own jointly with medical groups in Costa Rica, and they would sell insurance policies to Americans, and the policy would include airfare to and from Costa Rica for treatment when necessary.
So some weeks later, I never forget things.
Some weeks later, I have some guy on the phone scared to death.
Well, what are you gonna do?
Because everybody, you know, if if I'm gonna do it, they want to follow me.
Everybody wants to be me.
What are you gonna do?
I said, I'm going to Costa Rica.
But I didn't explain the context of it.
I didn't, I didn't take the time to tell the guy.
I just assumed everybody listening to the show would remember her saying that.
So all the liberals, all the liberals are offering to pay my way to Costa Rica one-way ticket.
You know what I think I'm gonna do?
I think they've got they've got some website um uh ticket for rush.com or I don't I'm not sure that's it.
Is that what it is?
Brian, have you seen it?
Uh what they're doing is uh they're they're asking people to donate one buck to get first class airfare from Palm Beach to Costa Rica for me to go.
And if uh if they collect more than is necessary for the one-way ticket, they're gonna give whatever is unnecessary to Planned Parenthood.
If I refuse to go, uh they're still gonna give the money to Planned Parenthood.
I think what I'm thinking of doing is saying, okay, I'll take it.
I'll take your money for your ticket, and I'll put this Marcellus kid on it that Obama had at the signing ceremony today, and I'll send Marcellus down uh since his mother died.
His mother died under health care plans created by Democrats.
Ted Kennedy, Medicare, Medicaid, all the the existing health care system failed his mother, and we had nothing to do with it.
And so send Marcellus down there to get some treatment whenever he needs it.
Of course, I'll pay for his return trip too.
Uh but anyway, this woman Stacy knows her stuff, and uh, she'll be talking to us at 130 this afternoon.
Also, people want to hear this again.
This is a uh the the citizen.
Uh in Raleigh, North Carolina last night, W R A L T V Eyeball News.
Uninsured patient DeCarlo Fly, of course the TV people went out and found this guy, and they asked him uh about the passage of health care reform.
It's just gonna be like Christmas.
I mean, it's gonna be great, you know, worries, you know, the bills we can go ahead and pay our copay and be all right.
It's gonna be just like Christmas.
They told us this when Medicare was signed into law.
Nobody's got any worries anymore, nobody's gonna have any more problems financially.
Now because we've signed Medicare into law.
Ted Kennedy, may he rest in peace, gave us the HMO system.
Ted Kennedy invented it and created it.
Everybody complains about the HMO system.
And uh so yeah, it's a ticket for rush.com.
A ticket for these people are sending me so many emails.
Hey Rush, are you a man of your word?
Are you gonna leave the country and go to Costa Rica?
We so hope you're a man of your word.
All they're all they're very nice emails.
Um I could broadcast anywhere in the world.
I've I tell you what, tuning New Zealand.
And by the way, I get emails from people in New Zealand, so what happened to us?
What happened?
Is that all they've raised?
Are you kidding me?
This is pathetic.
A ticket for Rush has only raised $1,400.
They're asking people to donate a dollar each.
Folks, don't call them.
Don't do this because the money's going to Planned Parenthood.
I mean, that's the that's the uh the ultimate trick for this.
Uh but $1,400.
I gotta tell you something.
You guys at Ticket for Rush.
$1,400 won't even buy a bottle of wine on my plane.
You guys have got so far away to go.
I mean, if you I in fact I I refuse to fly commercial, you guys.
If you guys really want to get me to leave Costa Rica, you're gonna have to.
I don't even want to tell you how much it costs you.
Uh $1,500 is well, $1,400.
Uh I don't know how many abortions that is at Planned Parenthood, because I frankly have never priced one, Snertley.
Uh, and this is something about which I'm happy to admit ignorance.
Uh I don't know.
All I know is that Obama did not sign the executive order today, and Stupak was not single.
He didn't sign it.
There is no executive order.
Stupec.
Stupid Stupec.
It proves he was always gonna vote for this.
This was just about getting him some FaceTime for his uh his own aggrandized.
Here, play audio soundbite 31 again.
People always say, how is it that Obama's got 36% approval, 46% approval in the polls?
It's because of this.
It's just gonna be like Christmas.
I mean, it's gonna be great.
You know, worries, you know, the bills we can go ahead and pay our copay and be all right.
That's uh DiCarlo Fife.
Hey, DeCarlo, I I need to I need to have you uh I know by now everybody knows who DeCarlo Fife is.
DeCarlo Fife is well known, now he's almost as well known as Marcellus.
Uh outside of uh outside of Raleigh now.
DeCarlo, it's spelled F. F. Oh, it's Fly, the F-L-Y-T-H-E.
Sort of like William Jefferson Blythe, Clinton, this is DiCarlo Fly.
Uh F L Y T H E. DeCarlo, I need you to call a woman in Tampa.
Shortly after Obama was uh immaculated, he did a town hall in Atlanta.
And uh a woman stood up and said, I need a kitchen, new kitchen in my house, and I actually need a new car.
Uh uh and I what what are you gonna do for me?
And Obama said, We'll have somebody on staff uh get with you.
A bunch of people at that press conference stood up and said things they were gonna need.
Then we go to Detroit, and you need to find that woman, DiCarlo and ask her if she's got her new kitchen from Obama's stash and her new car.
And then there's some people in Detroit you might want to talk to who um thought they were gonna be getting vouchers for something.
I forget what stimulus vouch, that's right.
Stimulus vouch.
You're gonna be access to stiff $15 billion of stimulus money for uh unemployed people in Detroit was told to go down to some federal building or city hall and sign up.
Uh and you know, our radio affiliate sent uh cameras and microphones down there and said, uh, where do you think this money's coming from?
It's come from Obama, Obama stash.
So there's a lot, DeCarlo, you can.
There's a lot of people who thought Christmas was coming, and you need to get a hold of them and find out if it has.
And I don't think it has, DeCarlo.
I think since uh since that town hall meeting in Tampa, about three million more people have lost their jobs than were working at the time.
Uh home sales, existing home sales declined in January, third consecutive month.
Nobody except us, and I mean all of you in this audience, nobody is talking about the absolute inability to pay for any of these programs now.
We are broke, we are in debt.
Uh we have a deficit of one and a half trillion dollars this year, $14 trillion national debt.
It's incomprehensible.
Uh it's just it's incomprehensible.
There's no way of paying it back.
Um, but under the premise of paying it back, DeCarlo get ready.
Your taxes are gonna be skyrocketing, everybody value added tax, it's gonna happen.
I'm I say this with a smile on my face.
I shouldn't be smiling because it's it's a it's a crying shame.
Uh what is being done to the country?
I remember Obama constantly arguing against cutting taxes to help the economy.
He said we couldn't go back to the same old tired ideas that gave us the financial crisis in the first place.
Well, what is new about health care reform?
What in the world's new about it?
Isn't it just doing more of the same that got us into the problem in the first place, only worse?
It most definitely is.
By the way, interesting story or press, I guess a press release.
It's from some outfit called Be Me Report.
Um HR, the the headline here is totally black, so I gotta read the story to find out the name of this group.
I'll find it before you do.
Anyway, the number of Americans who believe President Obama is purposely driving the U.S. economy into the ground for the express purpose of having the government take over more control of our lives, continues to grow according to the latest research conducted by the Beamer Report.com.
Britt Beamer, author of the Beamer Report.com, CEO of America's Research Group, ARG, Rush Limbaugh now has more people agreeing with him than those who voted for Barack Obama in 2008.
One hundred million Americans, this is based on his polling data and others.
One hundred million Americans believe Rush Limbaugh is right.
And I understand this group is even pitching this as a story to get themselves guest shots on uh on morning television shows.
All right, brief timeout, we'll come back.
We'll start with your calls in this hour, right when we come back.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have Shirley in San Antonio.
You're up first in this hour.
Great to have you on the uh EIB network.
Thanks for having me on, Rush.
I am so fed up, I don't know whether to stand up or sit down.
Well, do whatever would make you the more comfortable.
Well, I am tired of Nancy Pelosi covering for our brave president and our young president and for Harry Ree talking about this light-skinned Negro with no dialect.
I am so tired and the press.
I'm tired of the press interviewing this man, and he just has this however long infomercial, and then when Brett Bayer comes in and actually does an interview, they're so upset that he would we actually interrupt someone to ask the question.
I am ready for the American people to finally rise up and say, stop this nonsense.
Well, who are you mad at?
I'm trying to who who is your grievance against here, Shirley.
It's it's against this this ruling class, first of all, in in Washington.
They pretended to be patriots of the of the of America until they got in power.
Now that they have majorities in the House and the Senate and they have the presidency, they are saying to the American people, sit down, shut up, we know what's good for you, take your medicine like a good little girl glory and a little girl, and just let us run this country into the ground.
And this it cannot stand.
Russia, if we don't do something in November to let these people know they are going to be unemployed, then we we have really lost it.
There is no way that you can t convince me to tear down my house, which is what Obama's saying do.
Well, tear down your house.
Let's build it again so that we can add a room.
Who does that?
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
What do you mean Obama?
Why don't you explain yourself here?
Well Obama's trying to get everybody to tear down.
You talk about the country when you say tear down the house?
What I'm talking about is first of all, health care.
I'll be specific about this one.
He says that we want to add 32 million people to the health care roles, right?
Right.
But he says he's got to tear down the whole system to add these people.
Who in their right mind would tear down their house to add a room?
When you tear the house down, it's because you want to build something different.
Right.
That's exactly right.
And that's what ex that's exactly what he's doing.
But let me tell you, can you pay the same price for your house to rebuild it today that you paid for it ten years ago?
Absolutely not.
You're gonna get something smaller.
And when you get something smaller, it's going to be rationed.
So it's stupid to tell me it's it's gonna cost me less to get more.
And but but no one challenges him.
And he has this bully pulpit that he uses.
And it makes me so mad when he can Stand up using the presidency to call out private American citizens.
Joe the plumber said, So you want to spread the wealth around, and that's essentially what he wants to do.
And what does he do?
He calls him out.
I don't have a platform to defend myself against the most powerful man in the world.
But when he goes on the world stage, he cowtows to the Ortegas and the Chavez, the people that he should be going toe to toe with, he just cowers to them.
But when he gets back home, he'll call out people like John Boehner and and all of the members of Congress, and they don't even have a platform to defend themselves.
He's a schoolyard bully, and he's got a posse in the Congress and in the House, and no one else is supposed to touch this golden boy that uh America seems to be so enamored with.
And I am fed up with it.
If I didn't know better, I would say that you um basically are saying we have uh somebody unqualified, incompetent, uh being propped up by the real pros.
Well, let me tell you what, the first crop of affirmative action people to reach the presidency is a dismal failure.
But that's the thing about affirmative action.
It says, Oh, well, that's okay.
We don't expect too much from someone who comes to affirmative action.
The fact that they're trying, that's the most that we can expect.
And he's living up to it.
His inexperience is so obvious that and we're suffering for it.
Because liberal America, and I'll just say liberal and moderate white America was so afraid to be called racist that they allowed this nation to have the most inexperienced person ever take the highest office in the land at a time when we can least afford to have someone so incompetent at the head of our government.
Well, incompetent.
You have just called our first black president incompetent.
Oh, well, listen to what he said.
Last year he wanted a bill on his desk in June, July, August, September, and it was the same bill.
And if he had that bill that they started with to sign today, isn't that incompetent?
As hasn't it changed over the month from what it was to what are you talking about, what he actually signed?
What are you what are you saying here?
You are you are you saying that Obama is incompetent because even after a year with all this support, all these pros in the House and Senate, he still couldn't get it done for a year.
I'm saying he's incompetent because he doesn't know that we are a constitutional republic.
And he has limits on what he can do.
See, I disagree with you.
Now, you said his administration is a dismal failure.
Yeah, from our standpoint.
Because the country is gonna fail.
I mean, it's a good thing.
But but from his standpoint, see, I don't know how incompetent this guy is.
I think here's a guy who set out to transform this country into something other than a representative republic to wipe out the whole concept of uh American exceptionalism, and he's done it.
He has not failed.
Okay, let me tell you, Rush, when conservatives are back in power with the majority, we're also concerned about dismantling and repealing.
The only thing conservatives have to do is not fund in the budget all this garbage.
And when we get started, we need to take out the Department of Education, Health and Human Services, the EPA, don't fund it.
Don't put any money in the budget for these government bureaucracies and let them die on the vine.
Well, we're gonna need the White House to do that too.
And we're gonna need the we're gonna need the right guy in the White House to do that kind of thing.
I you know, Reagan even wanted to get rid of the Department of Education.
And of course you can imagine the uproar that uh that he faced, and he did not have uh anywhere near a congressional majority to be able to get away with it.
So it's just gonna take uh a unique set of circumstances for things like that to happen.
We're at the brink of losing what we know as America.
Yeah and we have been awakened.
The the Tea Party movement and the conservative movement has been awakened.
This is not fun and games.
This is not a reality show.
This is real life.
And we have got to take this country back to where it's supposed to be.
Personal responsibility, limited government, letting a man work for and keep what he earns.
That has to be the model that we put forward.
Well, we're definitely headed in the opposite direction from that.
I agree with you.
Uh it's it's a shame.
It is it is a tragedy that that this has happened.
And it can be uh it it it can be stopped.
It's and I I think that you have voiced here a degree of thinking and emotion that gazillions of Americans like you feel.
It it's wrong when I when I am in the pit of my stomach, when I think about on Sunday morning what is possibly going to happen to my country in Sunday night.
I shouldn't have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that what I knew as America within hours is going to be gone.
I know I had the same.
I ha I I I had the same sick feeling in the pit of my stomach and in my brain.
I'm I was I was feeling this everywhere.
I was I was even through Sunday afternoon, and I was I was I got polyannic.
This is not gonna happen.
This just at the moment of truth, this just can't happen.
And I was just, you know, I fell prey to my own hope.
Uh, and I was trying to suspend what was reality in front of my eyes, watching television for a while.
And then at about three or four o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday when uh the stupak circus started to show itself for what it was.
And I should have tried I should have believed myself at the outset, he was always gonna vote for this.
Um it was, you know, the the the sick feeling in the pit of the stomach.
We all feel it.
That's why we can't sugarcoat you're right, and you're not doing it.
Don't misunderstand.
We can't sugarcoat the gravity of this.
Uh in in the effort here to keep people's uh attitudes positive.
I mean, you've got to be honest about what's happened here, which you've done.
We have to be honest about the uh the whack this is at the America you and I know.
Look at I said yesterday the last thing I said to a caller on this program.
In fact, Mike, go get the last paragraph I said of that caller.
Uh we'll get a transcript.
I want to roll it off because it's better if I just have it replayed from yesterday, because I don't remember it all verbatim.
But I basically said, our enemy is now clearly defined.
We know who they are, and they are anybody with a D beside their name.
There's no moderate Democrat, there's no pro-life Democrat, there's no blue dog, lap dog, hot dog, back dog democrat.
If it's a D, they are the enemy, and they need to be reacted to as such.
Let's be honest about Obama here.
I just want to repeat something that I said in the first hour of this program.
There's no question Obama has huge majorities in both houses.
He had to fight like hell to get this vote.
He had to bribe, he had to pay off, he had to beat people with baseball battery at Pelosi and Reed do it.
Ronald Reagan had a Democrat Congress and got his tax cut through in his first August.
Obama is no Reagan, he's no Lincoln, he's unlike any president we have ever had.
What Obama did is succeed in forcing member of his own party to stick their collective finger in the eye of the American people.
And for this he's being praised by the liberal media and their ilk.
Obama is not a leader.
He has not led the people.
He has not won over the people.
His tactics are those of a thug, not a statesman.
As I said, the media is celebrating this great victory.
What great victory?
Over who?
Us.
The Democrat Party had to defeat us, the citizens of the United States, in order to get what they wanted.
And let's not confuse this vote in the House with leadership or statesmanship.
They had to fight among themselves.
The party has sealed its fate along with attempting to seal ours.
They have they have dug their own grave.
About that, there is no question.
But we're gonna fight back and hopefully reverse their course.
But they are damaged goods now.
And if you want to find a silver lining to anything, it is that.
As I said yesterday, they have now made it clear, abundantly clear to one and all who they are.
When you elect anybody with a D next to their name, this is what you get.
and Any time.
I don't care where they're from.
I don't care whether there's a modifier in front of their name, like moderate or blue dog or whatever, they're Democrats.
They're liberals.
They are all statists.
And there is literally no way to misunderstand who these people are now, what their motivations are.
Now we welcome back from in hiding in Atlanta, Stacy, who works for an insurance company who's been keeping us updated throughout this past year on the fate of her industry should this thing pass.
Now it has passed.
Give us the lowdown, Stacey.
Um, we're gonna make it two years, three tops.
Explain why and start At the beginning.
Okay.
Um for time immemorial, both state and federal uh regulation and also just the industry standard has been a sixty-five forty-five um percentage arrangement.
Sixty-five in claims payment, forty-five for administration and um claims expense withholding that you store for you know a a major catastrophe or something.
This is to pay your claims.
Uh no, sixty-five percent is to pay the claims.
Forty-five percent is for everything else.
That means sixty-five forty-five percent is salaries, uh administration costs in the offices, all the paperwork, that kind of thing.
It's that as well as you know, we are required to keep a certain amount of cash on hand um as a percentage of our claims exposure to pay claims.
So for example, if you had a disaster and you suddenly had, you know, four hundred thousand claims come in, you've got to have the money to be able to pay those claims immediately.
Now, I just want to make sure I understand here.
State and federal regulations set those percentages.
Um state and federal regulations, yes.
So if you wanted to have eighty-five percent set aside for claims, you couldn't.
You had to go at sixty-five percent.
Exactly.
If you wanted thirty percent set aside for claims, and the rest of administration you couldn't do it, it had to be sixty-five.
That's illegal.
Yes, it has to be, you know, sixty-five, forty-five, and there's a couple of percentage either way, but generally when an insurance company um falls outside of those guidelines, they are considered financially unstable.
Well, who audits who audits you all to make sure you are within audited by the state insurance departments primarily.
Um there are some plans that are audited both state and federally, and then you have your um private auditors who will come in um as part of stock market and that kind of thing.
So we're all right.
How often these audits take place?
Um at least once a year, you'll have one from the industry auditors, and um every three to five perhaps for federal and state.
More often if they if they think that you're unstable, they'll audit you more often.
So what Obama just did an hour and a half ago is make every insurance company in the country financially unstable.
Remind and remember, the fifteen percent that we are left has not only to pay salaries, uh maintenance, upkeep building, it also has to pay the forty percent increased taxes that we've got.
Um I mean, it's there's just no way.
You can't do it.
Well, now you're you're getting a little bit ahead of me here.
Uh what did Obama sign that changes this 65-45 split?
In what way did Obama now sign you into permanent instability?
The um provision, the Senate bill has the provision that requires that all insurance companies pay eighty-five percent of premiums collected every year in claims.
So the sixty-five is now eighty-five.
Exactly.
So that's it doesn't matter how much we increase the premium, it won't matter.
And just to satisfy my own curiosity, with the mandates that are in this, such as you now being required to insure children on their parents' policies to age twenty-six, twenty-seven, and now having to ensure cover pre-existing conditions, what's that gonna do to your current premium structure starting today?
That's my other fear rush.
I don't know that November is as big a lock as we would hope, and here's why.
Most group plans renew January first of every year.
Most people won't see the dramatic premium increases until January first.
So what they're gonna do is all these people who voted for this and who likely were swayed by this argument are gonna run around and say, Well, look, nothing's happened, you're not paying anymore.
You know, everything's fine.
It was just a bunch of quote unquote fear mongering, and I'm afraid they're gonna be reelected.
Well, we'll deal with that when the time comes.
I think there's a lot more in this than just those two provisions that have people outraged and upset, and I know that what your fear is that the people who supported this are gonna show out in droves and vote for Democrats on a theory that none of the um scare stories that were told had happened because it's delayed until until January.
But there are other things that we can work with on this.
The The Democrat Party's damaged itself in the sense they just inflicted great harm on the country whenever it shows up, uh, it will be realized.
Now, I want to take you back to the first thing you said.
You originally thought that your industry would survive are you speaking industry or just your particular company?
I I I would say ninety-nine percent of all insurance companies, health insurance companies in and in the country.
Okay, so you originally thought you might have three to five years to stay in business under Obama.
Now you sits two to three.
Why?
Because of the 8515, plus the additional expenses were gonna occur.
Um additionally, the mandates, what people don't understand when CMS, which is the centers of for Medicaid and Medicare, when they push a mandate down on on insurance companies, we have to pay to implement those mandates.
We don't know how many of those are in this monstrosity.
So we could be have our have our mandate budget doubled, we can have our taxes are already up forty percent or whatever it is, and our cash flow is immediately cut.
Well, how how can you know in advance of paying any claims?
Because they've now shifted to sixty-five percent that you have to set aside for claims to eighty-five percent.
How in the world can anybody know in advance of paying claims that's gonna amount to eighty-five percent?
Well, sixty-five percent versus uh it seems to me like this is a ridiculous dictate made by people who have no clue how your your business works.
Well, they don't have a clue, but um the way that that amount of money is calculated is you look at um the past year, past five years, past ten years, and you see what your claims expense has been those years.
And then based on your enrollment and your demographics, you project forward into what you expect to be paying in the future, in the next year or in the next five years.
So you can do that, it's not precise to a dollar, but you usually get pretty close.
What he's done is by saying, for example, the the preventative services now.
Um those are free.
Those are quote unquote free.
And what the hell is a preventative service covered by an insurance company anyway?
Well, that would be your colonoscopies, your mammograms, your yearly physicals, your um Oh, so those are free now.
So if I want to go get a colonoscopy today, and I have an insurance policy, I'm not gonna pay for it.
Exactly.
But you will.
Well, we will.
We'll pay out the nose for it.
Uh I know, bad analogy.
I'm sorry.
It is Christmas.
But Russ.
Well, no, I don't look at the colonoscopy.
It's Christmas, don't understand.
But I mean, but it is Christmas in the in a sense that so you're I don't know how you can stay in business even two to three years with this kind of thing happening to you this year alone.
I don't think we will, and that's why I am seriously considering leaving this industry.
I'm updating my resume.
Um, you know, people in who I work with, even people who voted for Obama and thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread or shell shocked.
And that just frustrates the hell out of me.
I don't anybody with a with with a brain has no reason to be shell-shocked about who this guy is.
That's but it is what it is.
Russ, it's not him.
I didn't think that Congress would sell us down the river like this.
Especially given the public opinion.
When have you ever seen a politician just say, I don't care that the public doesn't like it, and I don't care if I'm re-elected.
This is something I have never experienced.
I have never seen this.
And people that I work with who don't follow politics, who don't know what's going on necessarily, they they had no clue this was coming.
At least I had an inkling.
They had no idea.
Well, proof positive that people who don't pay attention to politics are now outraged, upset, and don't quite understand.
It's time to make them understand.
It's this is who Democrats are, this is who liberals are.
You realize too, I'm sure, that the whole purpose of all these new requirements on you is to put you out of business.
Oh, absolutely.
The whole purpose is to make it unable for you to stay in business financially, and so the government, okay, well, you know, these damn insurance come to you.
We never could depend on them, and nothing but a bunch of frauds and nothing but a bunch of cheats.
They're still cheating people, they're still raping people.
We're gonna have to do this ourselves.
And you know how many people are gonna die in the interim rush?
And I say that in all sincerity, because come January 1st and you're gonna see you know two, three hundred percent increases in premiums, and people are gonna drop their coverage, and so you've got the woman who's not gonna go get the mammogram, or the man who's not gonna get the people are gonna die.
Wait a minute, I thought the mammogram was free.
Not when you drop your coverage because you can't afford the three times the the premium.
Remember, the premiums are going up because of the government, and jobs are being lost because of the government.
If you can't pay it, you can't pay it.
So people are gonna drop it.
They're gonna drop their insurance before they drop their mortgage.
Uh they're gonna be clamoring to government to fix the mean spirited insurance companies for breaking the prices so high, and that's where Obama's gonna step in and say, you know what?
We have no choice here but then to do it ourselves.
And then you get dumped on again, first and foremost, with Obama portraying the country as uh the government is the as the savior.
Look, I gotta take a break.
Can you hang on a couple minutes?
Sure.
I still have a couple more questions.
Stacy, our insurance expert hiding in Atlanta to make the call.
We'll be back after this.
Back we are, Rush Limbaugh, hell rush ball, the all-knowing, all caring, all sensing, all feeling, maha rushy.
And we rejoin Stacy in hiding in Atlanta from the insurance industry.
You said just a minute ago that you're not all that confident about the November elections because all of these premium increases, group rates, group policies don't renew till January.
So all of your out-of-pocket expenses are gonna start relatively soon, but you can't raise premiums until January to recoup them, correct?
Correct.
All right, we just got a story here from the politico.
Timing right for Democrat midterm hopes.
Voters will get their first taste of the benefits of health care reform only a few short weeks before the November midterm elections.
They won't have to swallow most of the bitter pills until much later, well, after Obama faces voters again in 2012.
So she says here if you match the effective dates of key reform provisions against the election calendar, it becomes clear the Democrats were as focused on writing a legislative overhaul of the health care system as they were on devising a political roadmap for selling it to voters.
Now, of course, this story is celebrating the brilliance of the Democrats here in pointing all.
So basically this story is okay, yep, Americans, you got screwed, but you're not gonna know it in time to vote the Democrats out, which is essentially your fear.
Yeah, and and you know, Rush, Costa Rica's not gonna save us because it doesn't matter where services are rendered, the law's gonna cover any policies sold within the the United States.
So even though we can, you know, send folks down to Costa Rica um for care, we're still gonna be under the 8515 rule, we're still gonna have the additional taxes.
Um, this is academic, you're not gonna be in business.
I don't think it is.
That's why I'm leaving it.
Are you the only one that realizes this in your immediate orb within your company?
No, most of us most of us recognize it.
The question is, are you willing to move out of state?
You know, go somewhere else to find a comparable job.
That's the question now for a lot of us.
What comparable job?
It's a it's uh the technology aspect.
Um, the technology that we work with is not used commonly, you know, in in small shops around or whatever.
Yeah.
So um if we want a position using the technology we use today, we're gonna have to leave.
And I don't know where I'm gonna go.
Well, it's a shame.
And it's a shame because all of this was predictable based on the details of the uh of the legislation.
Stacy, feel free to stay in touch any time to update on this, uh update us on this.
We really do value your input on this.
Um very confident know what you're talking about.
And well, uh, in fact, you know what?
That Snerdley has a great idea, and we're we're gonna do this.
We are going to start collecting our own sob stories.
And Stacy, you might want to be one of our Sob stories, instead of bringing up individuals who have supposedly been treated harshly because of an unfair country and an unfair insurance industry, what we're going to do is create our own roster of sob story people, small businesses who have been put out of business, small business people whose taxes are raised, making it impossible to stay in business for very much longer.
People like you, whose entire industry is being targeted for eventual destruction.
Now we're gonna do people genuinely hurt by the legislation.
And believe me, there will be no shortage.
There won't be any.
If you want to be one of our sob stories, I hope you're not.
But if a sob story happens to you, we, the EIB network, will happily be your outlet.
Sit tight, folks, and be right back.
Don't go away.
So I get this email question from the subscriber list.
After listening to Stacy, why are the insurance companies not taking out full-page ads, detailing all of these deceptive lies to the American people?
Why are Wall Street companies not doing the same?
Why are they continuing to allow these liberals to demonize them and not fight back?
I can only take a guess, and as far as the insurance companies are concerned, take a look at the stocks.
Insurance company stocks right now are skyrocketing, and so are drug company stocks, because the original few years of this bill mandates 32 million more customers.
People are gonna and the insurance company is gonna be paid for them somehow, some way, so they they're they're excited about this.
You jump in on the bubble and you cash out.
I mean, if if if even if you think you got five years left in business, maximize it all you can and then get the hell out.
If you don't think you can stop it, anyway, my guess.
