Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's an outrage.
It is an absolute outrage.
Our president has been shafted by the Nobel Committee and by the Pope.
Greetings, my friends.
Great to have you with us.
Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network.
800-282-2882.
If you want to be on the program, the email address today, Elrushbaugh at EIBNet.com.
Well, they gave out the Nobel Prize for Economics last week.
President Obama did not get it.
It is an insulting outrage.
I mean, if he's going to get the peace prize for crying out for doing nothing, at least the same bunch of people who like what he's doing to destroy America's foreign policy and standing in the world could at least have awarded him the same thing for destroying our economy.
Well, I'm just, if I were Obama, if I were the White House, I'd be outraged about this.
In fact, he should have gotten the Nobel Prize for Economics before he got the Nobel Peace Prize, because there isn't peace out there, but there is economic destruction, the kind of which Western European elites love to see, along with the likes of the Hugo Chavez of the world and the Fidel Castros.
And folks, another insult, the Pope for Vatican City, this news was made yesterday.
Pope Benedict XVI canonized five new saints on Sunday, even one for work in Hawaii.
And I saw this, oh my God, the Catholic Church has sainted Obama.
But no, the Catholic Church has shafted Obama.
Five new saints, and not one of them was President Obama.
Obama has been robbed by the Nobel Economic Team and the Catholic Church.
Well, Obama may be bigger than the Pope, Snerdley, but he's not bigger than saints.
You're going to pass out five saints or elevate five saints a couple days after you give out the Nobel Peace Prize, and you don't put our president on air, and our country's being dissed left and right here.
And then there's this, the Nobel winners who probably changed your life.
Forgive the question, but have you had a colonoscopy yet?
If the answer is yes, you can thank Charles K. Cow, and I hope I'm pronouncing that right, K-A-O, Willard S. Boyle, and George E. Smith.
Those three gentlemen, those three scientists, won the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physics last week, four decades ago.
These men produced key scientific insights that have led to fiber optic data transmission and digital photography.
Let me translate this for you.
Oh, you think you know where this is going?
So the colonoscopy guys, all three of them, get a physics Nobel.
Three physicists won the Nobel Award because of research that allows doctors to peek inside your colon.
Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize because the Nobel Committee stuck their heads up his colon.
Or maybe it was the other way around.
Maybe he stuck his head up their colons.
I know you're aware.
How is this possibly going to relate to President Obama?
Leave it to me, ladies and gentlemen.
Come up with a way.
Share what Liz Cheney said.
I love Liz Cheney.
Hear what she said about the Nobel Peace Prize.
She said that President Obama should send a message to the Nobel Committee at the December 10th award ceremony in Oslo suggesting that he skip the ceremony and send the mother of a fallen soldier to show the importance of the war effort.
The notion that this White House says he'll go to Oslo to accept this prize just adds to the farce.
She said this on Fox News Sunday, but I do think he could send a real signal here.
I think what President Obama ought to do, frankly, is send a mother of a fallen American soldier to accept the prize on behalf of the U.S. military.
And frankly, to send the message to remind the Nobel Committee that each one of them sleeps soundly at night because the U.S. military is the greatest peacekeeping force in the world today.
Mike, did you find those two sound bites?
Folks, I want to take you back to last week.
Excuse me.
I could have hit the cough button, but I'm lazy.
I didn't want to reach over there and hit it today.
I want to go back to Detroit Cobalt Hall last week where some 35 or 65,000 people showed up to receive applications for stimulus money.
About 3,500 people will actually be granted a portion of $15 million in stimulus money.
There were scam artists outside Cobalt Hall selling fake applications for 20 bucks a piece.
I was thinking about this all weekend.
And particularly, you know, after doing the Jamie Gangel interview on Thursday, first part of which today ran on the Today Show Part 2 will run tomorrow.
And it's at rushlimbaugh.com if you missed it, both the video and the transcripts.
But I got to thinking about this.
And it really, you know, we had a mixture of emotions.
And in my commentary about this, you know, we had a little fun with it, as we do with most everything Obama does.
But this is really sad when you get right down to it, that this is happening in the United States of America.
Listen to these, listen to these two bites.
This is from our affiliate in Detroit, WJR.
Why are you here?
To get some money.
What kind of money?
Obama money.
Where's it coming from?
Obama.
And where did Obama get it?
I don't know.
His stash.
I don't know.
I don't know where he got it from.
But he's giving it to us to help us.
We love him.
That's what we voted for.
Obama!
All right, that was on Wednesday, I believe.
Here is the bite that we had again from WJR Detroit on Tuesday.
Did you get an application to fill out your money?
I sure did.
And I filled it out, and I am waiting to see what the results are going to be.
Will you know today how much money you're getting?
No, I won't, but I'm waiting for a phone call.
Where's the money coming from?
I believe it's coming from the city of Detroit or the state.
Where did they get it from?
Some funds that was forgiven by Obama.
And where did Obama get the funds?
Obama might have gotten the funds from I have no idea.
Tell you the truth, he's the president.
In downtown Detroit, Ken Rogulski, WJR News.
Okay, now Detroit is Hurricane Katrina without the levees having broken.
It's a miss.
They have a genuine depression.
Now, you've seen pictures of the people who showed up at Cobo Hall.
And I was talking to a friend, emailing, wait, eye-chatting back and forth, IMing back and forth on Friday night.
And this friend said, you know, I'm really, really thinking about that WJR audio you played of people wanting a stimulus money.
I'm really troubled by it.
And that started my brain neurons firing.
And I got to thinking, what if I'm president and that kind of thing is happening in my country?
I'd be embarrassed.
I would be embarrassed, were I president, that there were people lining up thinking they were getting money directly from me.
That would frighten me about the condition of the country and the future of the country.
And it would make me really wonder what's going wrong with our education system.
These are poor black people.
And when you listen to these people, and they're out there having a good time talking about Obama, but look what they're doing.
They're lining up in a city that's been devastated, devastated by Democrat administrations and governorships for years.
They're lining up for so little money that it's insignificant.
I'd be embarrassed that my policies, that my administration had created this kind of destitution, this kind of hopelessness, and this kind of really, really sad ignorance.
Now, President Obama, as everybody asks me and reminds me, is black.
And so were these people, in large part, who showed up at Cobo Hall last week in Detroit for money.
I just wonder if he sees these pictures and what he thinks.
And my fear is that he likes it.
My fear is that he enjoys this kind of dependency on him and the federal government, that he and his political advisors look at an event like that in Detroit on Tuesdays.
Oh, we've got the next election sewn up.
These people are totally dependent on us.
They'll never vote against us or me or our party because they're totally, and I got to think that makes me even angrier and saddens me and sickens me even more.
That in effect, futures are bleak.
Futures are being destroyed all because of the narcissistic power and desire for that power held by the president and his advisory team.
It really is sad, folks, when you boil all the pictures of it away, that these kind of hopeless, how about all that hope and change?
All of these people who, I mean, all they've got, they think, is Obama, when in fact they live in what is the greatest country on earth and the greatest asset they all have is themselves.
And yet, does anybody promote that to them?
Does anybody tell them that they are the greatest asset they have?
Or are they steered to idol worship?
Are they moved?
Are they motivated?
Are they inspired to look at the president or any politician as their only salvation?
And if they are, it's just a shame.
This country has run rings around the rest of the world for good and for some of the greatest reasons ever.
Freedom, God-granted freedom, the acknowledgement of the source of our freedom and our rights, a natural yearning as human beings to be free.
And we have a political party that has sought for years to dumb these people down, look at them as though they are incompetent and helpless, and then want to capitalize that on that.
After promoting that notion that they're incompetent, and after telling them that the deck is stacked against them in this country because past injustices and so forth, that the only way out is through some messianic figure in Washington, D.C., or some messianic figure in Lansing, or some politician somewhere.
And just as an American, and that's how I see these people, as an American, it is dispiriting.
It is depressing because we are only as great a nation as we have great people.
I wouldn't be where I am had I not had people tell me things that made me believe in myself.
Very few people are self-starters.
We all need them push.
We all need some inspiration.
And they're not getting it.
They're getting just the opposite.
They're being beaten down.
And they're being told the only way out of the circumstances they find themselves in is voting for a particular party.
And I would, you know, I look at what that party and its policies have done to the poor, the disadvantaged, and minorities in this country.
Their lives, to the extent that they've stayed loyal to that party, have been destroyed.
Their families have been broken up.
They have not grown.
They have not been lifted.
And as an American, it's just troubling.
Here, listen to these two again and try to suppress whatever entertainment factor you find here.
And imagine if they were your kids.
Why are you here?
To get some money.
What kind of money?
Obama money.
Where's it coming from?
Obama.
And where did Obama get it?
I don't know.
His fashion.
I don't know.
I don't know where he got it from.
But he's giving it to us to help us.
We love him.
That's what we voted for.
Obama.
Obama.
Did you get an application to fill out your?
I sure did.
And I filled it out.
And I am waiting to see what the results are going to be.
The sad reality here is that many of these people that showed up in Detroit are black.
And it seems that the president is content for them to suffer like this and to look to him as the lone solution to their suffering.
By the way, the intellectuals are coming around.
Charles Krauthammer late last week or over the weekend, I saw a transcript of a speech he gave.
The decline is purposeful, meaning our economic decline is happening on purpose.
Intellectuals are catching up to me here.
This is not accidental.
What's happening to our economy?
These poor people love Obama.
They think he's one of them.
And Harry is presiding over their misery.
He wants them to be victims.
Not just them either, folks, as many people as possible.
Victims, destitute, uninformed, but worshiping him.
Happy for them to be in the perpetual on-the-come mode, always expecting him to bail them out or make things right for them.
And even when his efforts fail to improve their lot in life, they're going to blame everybody but him.
When the answer is in their own hearts and in their own souls, in their own desires, that nobody's telling them that.
Nobody's building them up.
Nobody's telling them they're special.
Nobody's telling them how great they can be if they just apply themselves.
Just makes me sad.
It just really does, because it shouldn't be happening in the United States of America.
Back after this.
Let's talk a little health care, ladies and gentlemen, because tomorrow, big, big vote in the Senate Finance Committee.
The big news today is that after months of collaboration on Obama's attempt to overhaul the nation's health care system and destroy it, the insurance industry plans to strike out against the effort today with a report.
In fact, they have come out with that report.
It has been released.
Warning that the typical family of four in 2019 could cost $4,000 more than projected.
By the way, interesting thing here.
You know, last week, I made the observation after playing an audio soundbite from Kathy Kay of the BBC, who did not understand where Barack Hussein Obama came from because she's totally ignorant of anything going on outside her little cocoon world.
Over the weekend, on WABC, AM 77 in New York, Mark Simone was talking to Margaret Carlson, who I know, used to be at Time Magazine.
I think she's now at Bloomberg.
She did not know in a conversation.
Mark Simone had to point out to her that there are 1,700 insurance companies nationwide selling healthcare coverage.
She thought there were 12 or 13, and that's why we needed a government option.
She did not know.
She was stunned.
So you're going to have to look it up.
She also did not know that the health care plan, as being debated, will not be implemented for four years.
She did not know.
She thought it would happen immediately.
Now, these are the people.
And I'm not digging Margaret Carlson please here, folks.
It's just a symptom, a symptom of the so-called mainstream media, the best and brightest among us, they are clueless.
They have literally no idea what's going on outside the world in which they live and work.
Now, I and you, on the other hand, we know everything about them.
We watch them.
We study them.
We read them.
They don't listen to this program or any others.
They don't watch Fox News.
They go to websites to find out what we supposedly said on issue after issue.
And purposely, those things are false, sometimes outright false, or taken out of context.
But even at that, some of the mainstream press have reported that the health care bill doesn't get implemented until 2013, four years from now, if it passes.
Others have stated the number of insurance companies out there nationwide that are selling private health care plans.
She didn't know.
Katty Kaye didn't know that it was the student school in New Jersey that had this little propagandist song that they recorded on video.
Barack Hussein Obama thought that I was being disrespectful to the president by parodying it.
They also demo they have no sense of humor.
But regardless, 2019, if the bill passes, typical family premium, 4,000 more than projected, industry officials said they intend to circulate the report prepared by Price Waterhouse Coopers on Capitol Hill and promote it in new advertisements.
The report was paid for by America's Health Insurance Plans, an industry trade group.
And the White House is not happy about this because the insurance companies were trying to collaborate like pharmaceutical companies have collaborated.
They are very, very upset about this at the White House.
It's not going down the way they thought it should or would.
And we're back.
Rush Limbaugh, talent on loan from God, the brand new week of Broadcast Excellence, 800-282-2882.
Snirdley's looking at me.
He hadn't said anything to me.
He's looking at me since the show began.
Why aren't you talking about the Today Show?
When you did the CPAC speech, you didn't talk about that.
Folks, I'm going to explain it to you.
I've got a soundbite roster today that is 95% me.
You know how uncomfortable I am talking about myself on this program.
Soundbite roster is 95% me.
And I refuse to be distracted by all of this stuff.
I'll get to the Today Show bites, but if you want to watch it, I mean, you really should watch it.
It's at rushlimbaugh.com in its entirety.
And there's a transcript up there.
But there is, just to give you a flavor of some of the stuff that is out there today, here's this.
This was early this morning, well, sometime this morning from PMS NBC.
We're just learning the Reverend Al Sharpton wants to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell about Rush Limbaugh.
Sharpton says he should not be allowed to buy a football team.
Now, this saddens me as well.
This disappoints me.
I know Reverend Sharpton.
Sharpton's better than this.
He knows better than this.
You know, I didn't judge Al Sharpton's fitness to be in radio when he wanted to earn an honest living for once, given his well-documented past, the author of the Tawana Brawley hoax.
I believe in freedom, second chance, and I also don't discriminate.
So Reverend Sharpton's trying to get a meeting with the NFL Commissioner.
The formula is, and then the AP sends me, do you have any reply to this?
And I just ignore it because the formula for making news, not reporting it, but the formula for making news has not changed in 21 years.
So there.
Now, I want to get to some sound bites that have nothing to do with me, but they are fabulous.
Steve Wynn on Fox News Sunday interviewed by Chris Wallace.
He's the CEO of Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas.
He's also on with Jennifer Granholm, the governor of Michigan.
And Chris Wallace says unemployment in Nevada, 13.2%.
That's the second highest in the nation.
Your company, Wynn Resorts, has more than 20,000 employees.
Do you see any turnaround yet?
No, in the sense that I think that the priorities of the administration should have been more directly focused on job creation from the day of the inauguration forward.
The priority should have been job creation.
And the most powerful weapon and the tool that the government has for that is its tax policy.
If the government had used its power to restrain its tax collection, they would have given everybody who runs small businesses, large businesses, a chance to hire more people.
And that could have been done in an entirely different way.
With $800 or $900 billion, we could have created 4 or 5 million jobs, which have made a big difference.
That's what you call stimulus.
That's what you call stimulus.
That's what I have been saying.
That's what anybody with even a modicum of Econ 101 understands.
You have to invest and you have to create the investment.
You have to incentivize growth.
And this administration is penalizing it.
This administration is punishing growth.
This administration is doing everything it can to prevent growth.
This is all done on purpose.
And now, my friends, I finally am joined.
In my previous one-man crusade, Steve Wynn on board Charles Krauthammer with a speech that he gave on board saying the decline is purposeful.
Chris Wallace, they said, well, where do you draw the line between the proper role of government and all of this and the proper role of the private sector?
Government has never increased the standard of living of one single human being in civilization's history.
For some reason, that simple truth has evaded everybody.
The only thing that creates an increased standard of living is giving someone a job.
The demand for their labor, whether it's you and I, Chris, or anybody else.
The people that are paying the price for this juggernaut of federal spending are the middle class and the working class of America.
Right.
And soaring rhetoric and great speeches with or without a teleprompter aren't going to change the truth.
And the truth is the biggest enemy, the biggest obstacle that working middle-class America has is government spending.
Steve Wynn, Wind Resorts, Las Vegas.
He is right on the money.
People who are paying the price for this juggernaut of federal spending are the middle class and the working class of America, i.e., these poor people in Detroit.
They are in those lines because they have no choice because that's where this administration wants them.
Soaring rhetoric, great speeches with or without a teleprompter isn't going to change the truth.
So Jennifer Grandholm got to get in on this.
Wallace says, let me bring in the governor of Michigan, Jennifer Granholm.
Looks like she wants to come out of her seat at this.
It's just so simplistic to say that with all due respect, I mean, to say that government has never created a job or increased the standard of living.
You know, I mean, there are a lot of people who are grateful that in this country we have a minimum wage.
There are a lot of people who are grateful that they have access to Medicare and Medicaid.
And I hope that we get access further to additional health care for those who are right now uninsured.
I mean, there is a balance here to say that government is all evil.
This is a democracy.
It's the greatest country in the world.
This is the governor of the state of Michigan where people in the tens of thousands are lining up for pittance.
A pittance handout from the federal government.
The state of Michigan is broke.
The city of Detroit, many people who live there, is in recession.
She thinks the minimum wage has raised standard of living.
The minimum wage is part of the reason unemployment is rising and the fact that Democrats authored an increase of it.
Folks, they are just dunces.
They're economic dunces.
It is just breathtaking.
Now, here she is.
She's talking to a man calling him simplistic.
I wonder how many, well, we'll hear in just a second.
Steve Wynne describe how many health care policies he provides for people, how many employees he has.
And not just in Las Vegas.
He's been in Atlantic City, in the Orient, I think Macau.
He was working on an operation there.
But he wanted to respond to this simplistic business, and this is the exchange that they had.
I didn't say that at all.
I'm saying that the source of government revenue, the source of well-being in this country, is employment.
That allows companies to pay taxes, employees to pay taxes.
That's the source here.
And it's gotten out of focus.
I agree.
There's no.
Okay, that's my point, Governor.
I'm not making any other point.
And believe me, ma'am, I've got 20,000 employees.
I've had as many as 150,000 families that I've been self-insuring.
There's nothing simplistic about my approach to this problem.
And see, in this series of three sound bites, we have the perfect illustration of the problem.
We have a man in the private sector who actually works, who creates jobs, jobs that are really well-paying.
He has health insurance for all of them, as many as $150,000.
And a government official is telling him he doesn't know what he's talking about, cites the minimum wage to him.
He doesn't have any clue what he's in her mind.
And this is where we are.
These kind of people with this kind of thinking, as expressed here by Governor Grandholm, are exactly the kind of people running the whole show now, be it in Washington, be it in Michigan or wherever there is a Democrat governor.
This is what they believe.
And it takes me back to my opening monologue.
For what?
For what?
It certainly can't be.
Do you realize, folks, it is, I don't know what the word is, but to sit here and not be outraged over the economic plight of the working class and poor people in this country.
To go out and be playing basketball with your staff and then go play golf after you try another church on Sunday.
And then to be talking about a second stimuli, and to pile more misery on top of this with two more disastrous plans, health care reform and cap and trade, both of which are going to create even longer unemployment lines, will create even more destitution and poverty.
There's no way to conclude other than it must be on purpose.
It's just shocking.
But this is a great series of sound bites here for people to actually learn who it is in this country that are the smart people, but more importantly, who it is that make this country work.
Back in just a second.
Stay with us.
So here's the test, folks.
The real test is this.
How many private sector jobs has Jennifer Granholm created?
Just last week, we had the most amazing story.
It was a two-page story that took me 30 minutes to fully digest and react to.
Do you remember it?
In her two terms of governor, which will expire next year, I believe, the state of Michigan has lost 630,000 jobs in the next 14 months.
It is expected that the state of Michigan will lose another 370,000 jobs, or grand total of 1 million jobs lost under Jennifer Grandholm's governorship.
The story was in the Washington Post, and it was a puff piece pushing the obviously false premise that she has created 160 or 200,000, what was it, 260,000 jobs, 100,000, whatever.
She created hundreds of thousands of jobs.
And then, but the green jobs are to come, and then she's going to really fix the state because she's going to convert the state into an all-green technology sector job state.
And get this.
By 2020, 40,000 new jobs will be created.
She's going, we ought to be creating 40,000 jobs a day in this country.
And in Michigan, she bragging in the Washington Post about 40,000 new jobs in 11 years.
I needed the vapors because the Washington Post was heralding this, has tremendous great progress.
So here's the way to look at this.
In 14 months, 370,000 more jobs projected to be lost in Michigan in the next 14 months.
That's a little over a year.
And yet on the other side of that, in the next 11 years, 40,000 green jobs will be created.
And she's out there, you know, I just, I just, I know she went to have lunch with laid-off employees, stayed there until, and, well, yeah, stayed there last day.
She stayed with me.
She went home to her husband.
Oh, my God, what can I do for these people?
So the real question here is, how many private sector jobs has Jennifer Grandholm created?
How many has Steve Wynn created?
That little side-by-side answer is the difference between statism and capitalism.
So here we have a failed governor with a state in a near depression holding firm to her policies, learning nothing from a man who created a multi-billion dollar enterprise that hires tens of thousands of people and could hire more, but for government tax and spend policies, and whose own city is in the tank right now because the president of the United States, inasmuch as told people, the days of getting on your jet and going to Las Vegas are over.
Have you forgotten that?
That was early on when he was beating up the Wall Street guys, back when the automobile guys had the audacity to fly from Michigan to Washington in their corporate jets to be grilled by members of Congress over why they needed bailout money.
So they had to come back with their revised plans some months later and they had to drive.
And the president said, yeah, the days are getting on your jet and going to Las Vegas.
So guess what's happened in the hospitality business?
I'm telling you, this administration has taken a fire hose to the U.S. economy.
It's mind-boggling here.
Steve Wynne, multi-billion dollar enterprise, hires tens of thousands of people, could hire more and would love to be able to hire more, but because of government tax and spend policies, he can't.
And on the other side, a failed governor.
Who's telling him that he's simplistic?
Let's go to the phones.
Here's Eddie.
We're going to start in Kent, Washington today.
Eddie, hello and welcome.
Great to have you with us.
Morning, Rush.
Hi.
Hello?
Hello.
Yeah, I'm here.
Okay, yes.
I couldn't help but hear your first two sound bites about people in Detroit standing in line waiting for money.
Basically, what that does, Rush, it just epitomizes what's happened to the black family since the 64 Civil Rights Act, the war on poverty.
It just pulverized it.
Be careful here, Eddie.
Do you have any desire someday of owning a professional sports franchise?
Not really.
Good.
Go ahead and say what you want to say because otherwise, if you say it, the sports writer community will come after you.
Okay, well, let them come after me.
I don't give a rat's behind.
You know, the black community has been destroyed.
I'm black, and it just makes me sad to see the condition of the black family.
Barack Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the Urban League, they don't give a fat rats behind about the black family.
They don't.
They've got their seat at the table with white liberal people.
I thought the F-bomb was coming, folks.
And they're not about to give up that seat.
So they'll sell their own people out, deliver the black vote to the white liberal Democrats, and make sure the black community stays on its knees in poverty.
That's enough to make you cry.
It is sad.
It's very, particularly when they run around claiming that they're the only way out for these poor, depressed people.
Well, Brock, you know, that sheep herd mindset that I heard through those two soundbites, that's what followed Jim Jones down to Guyana in 1978.
They found over 900 people down there dead.
A lot of them were black.
See, if you convince these people they're victims of something, then what that does, Brock, that absolves people from being personally responsible for themselves.
I know.
How can you be a victim in a country that has the most prosperous country in the world?
How can you be a victim?
See, there was a time my grandfather, they wouldn't have stood in line for something like that.
How did you avoid this happening to you?
Because it's 50 years of being told you're a victim.
How did you rise above this?
Because I took my grandmother's advice.
She told me to use my God-given common sense.
Nobody owes you nothing.
She taught me the art of ownership, the art of doing things right the first time.
See?
And I never looked back.
Well, that's great.
It stuck with you.
Yes, I'm not a victim of nobody.
I may be a victim of my own poor choices, but I'm a blessed man.
I was born in a free country.
This is my country.
I serve my country in uniform.
I come from a long line of men in my family who served this country.
Yeah, you're singing my song.
That's the same thing.
We want everybody in this country to succeed.
We want everybody in this country to reap the rewards of the privileges of being born American.
Exactly.
You know, you're going to achieve based on your God-given skill and talent and the freedoms afforded you, you know?
So, see, see, government has become the god of the black family, unfortunately.
It's become their God, the Democratic Party.
I don't know about that.
Maybe the father.
Yeah, well, yeah.
Black people are very religious.
They're one of the most religious groups of people around.
Exactly.
But, you know, get up off your knees with your hands stretched forward, begging government, the little G, for a handout.
Move to the right, get on your knees, and worship at the altar of the Big G, God, G-O-D.
He says, I'll supply all your needs, not government.
God bless you out there, Eddie.
Okay, you have a good day, Rush.
You too.
Glad you called.
Great first call of the day.
We'll kick a brief timeout here, another obscene prosperity timeout.
We'll be back after this.
Sit tight.
This is actually not a new story, but it's getting a new push here.
We first reported this again months ago, just in the L.A. Times today.
Obesity concerns spur calls to limit new convenience stores in South Los Angeles.
The proposed rules and outgrowth of last year's city restriction on new fast food restaurants are prompted by links found by researchers between snack foods and obesity in poor communities.
So they're going to limit the shopping choices of poor people in L.A., not because of any link to obesity, but because it's what liberal Democrats do.
Limit and control your freedom.
And get this from the New York Times, John Harwood.
Headline, I'll elaborate in the next hour.
Democrats must attack to win in 2010, strategists say.
