Time Text
Hi and welcome back.
Still a lot to do.
A lot to get through in this hour.
Gonna get started right away.
Rush Limbaugh.
Phone number if you want to be on the program, 800-282-2882.
The email address L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
Before we get back to Stephen in Houston, the uh daily press briefing with the press Secretary Robert Gibbs, a reporter said today at the National Counter-terrorism center where President Obama was hoping to find Jack Bauer to arrest him.
The President did not mention the word Afghanistan when listing all the targets we're hitting where Al Qaeda is.
Why is that?
I think the President mentioned regions of the world that threaten this country.
I think we talked about uh the Horn of Africa, different places in Asia, Southeast Asia.
I don't think the the point wasn't a geography be to mention each and every country in and around the world, but instead to focus on ensuring uh that we uh keep the fight on Al Qaeda's global network, that we uh take on uh Al Qaeda and its extremist allies, and most importantly that we thank the men and women that work there each day to help keep our country safe.
So the press wanted to know it's a lame answer from Gibbs.
Hey, this wasn't a geography B. We were mentioning regions of the world, but he did mention some nations.
Obama did, but he left out uh Afghanistan, gives you a little testy there about the uh Afghan omission.
All right, back to Stephen and Houston.
Well, Stephen, thanks for holding on.
Rush, how you doing?
Uh now, you uh uh well I'm still I'm doing well.
Are you still doing well?
Yeah.
Okay.
Um you just graduated from a school in Memphis, did you say, or in Tennessee?
Yes.
Okay.
Just graduated and you had an epiphany, you had an awakening there.
You went in as a lib and you came out the exact opposite.
And because of what you learned, you think that I'm a little incorrect when I say that the Democrats are doing all this, like the economic destruction, the stimulus package not working, doing the exact opposite of what it's intent is.
You think that I'm wrong.
You think that they're not doing this by design, that they're just blithering idiots, right?
That they have they have faith in a bunch of theory and equations like Keynes.
And their intentions.
It's it's all about their intentions.
They're good intentions.
They're, as Sean says a lot, they're anointed intentions.
So I think that they're just blinded to see the truth.
Um, this is why this is a teachable moment.
Um I agree, by the way, that that their intentions are what they want everybody to focus on because they want people to think of them as good people.
Yes.
Uh they never want the results analyzed.
And see, here's the here's the thing, Stephen, and I I I say this with with all due respect, and I'm I'm gr glad that you called, because it's really great.
You you have made an uh uh uh an overwhelming positive conversion, and it took the liberal academic setting for this to happen to you.
Yeah, that's what impressed me most.
Well, you are how old?
Twenty-two.
You're twenty-two years old.
Yes.
So I'm guessing that in terms of an adult life with focus on education of yourself and interest in current affairs and politics and so forth, you've probably had no more than six solid years of that.
Since you were sixteen.
Yeah.
All right.
Pretty close.
So you have now had this epiphany, and your education has worked miracles on you.
And you think that uh uh what you have learned uh it so far in your life explains it.
And I applaud you for that.
But here's what you're going to learn as you live longer.
You're going to learn that all this is intentional because there is a track record of over 75 years of these failures from even the stupidest people to learn from.
It's it's it's not that they don't want to learn the truth.
They want control.
They want power.
They want as many people dependent on the government as possible.
They just have a different belief system.
Their intentions may be good, but I don't care about their intentions because their intentions have failed miserably this country, and people like them all over the world.
The People that run our country now have a much closer proximity, uh, and they're much closer to the world's tyrants and dictators than they are closer to the people who founded the country.
This is not accidental.
They have chosen it.
This is the ideology that they have chosen.
This is what's best for them.
And you're gonna learn this if you stay focused and stay focused and stay interested and uh keep learning.
As you grow older, you're going to learn this.
You're gonna learn that they're not innocent idiots.
They are dangerous, devious, central planners who have designs on everybody's liberty and freedom.
That's what matters most to them because that's where they derive their power.
What concerns me though, Rush, is that if they're smart enough to understand this, to implement it, you know, it it what concerns me is that the only type of people who I can think of who will do this are people who want to see the world burn.
And I would hate to think that those people are at the top of our system.
I mean maybe somebody like Rob Deadfish Emmanuel, but I I I truly think that our system can protect us from this.
Do you disagree or do you think No, if I thought the system couldn't protect us, as I said last week, I'd cash in my chips, I would retire, and I would start on a spending spree to make sure I spent all the money I have before they take it from me, and the last check I wrote would be to the IRS and it would bounce.
But I'm not doing any of that.
I'm hanging in there because I do believe in the American people.
We're seeing right now that the American people don't want what this administration, what the Democrats in Congress are offering.
Um you say that you they're smart enough to understand this, to implement this.
Intelligence has nothing to do with this.
This is a raw pursuit of power that they succeeded in acquiring with their allies in the media for eight years tarnishing and trashing the U.S. military, George W. Bush, and the institutions and traditions that made this country great.
These people have purposely set groups of Americans against each other, men versus women, black versus white, minority versus majority.
Um it's uh gay versus straight.
They all by design to create chaos.
Never contentment, never happy.
They're not happy.
Have you ever been a Did anybody, your professors, were they ever happy?
Or were they always constantly wringing their hands and enraged and mad at whatever was going on, even after they've won all the power, they're still unhappy, they're still angry, they're still miserable.
You look at them on TV and they don't smile.
They have nothing about them that says join us.
They're we have no choice.
You know, we the and and their power didn't just come because of their intelligence.
The opposition party laid down the opposition party nominated somebody who didn't have a holy prayer of a chance.
Well, if it's not their intelligence, then all what you've said to me is it translates to downright evil to want to destroy the best economic system all for the want of power, just sounds like just evil.
And you got it.
I mean, do you think you've got it?
You got it, another epiphany, and it didn't take you four more years.
You got it in one call to the EIB network.
We are dealing with people who have let's define evil in this case.
Well, that's a good point, Rush, because you know, um in the Eastern society.
Let me define it.
Let me define evil for you.
Okay.
As I as I mean it here.
Because this is one of these things could end up being a media tweak.
Uh they'll hear me say, oh, they're evil.
I'm gonna applaud you if they are evil, and that's gonna be all over the uh the cable networks tonight.
Let me define it for you.
We have let's make it simple.
Let's say that America's made up of basically two groups of people, and both groups are represented by leaders that seek to win power to implement their ideas.
The people who are running the country now are from a group that does not believe in the justness of the founding of this country.
They are adamantly opposed to the way the country was founded.
They believe the country was founded by white, Eurocentric racists, sexists, bigots, colonialists, and imperialists.
They believe that the United States superpower status militarily and economically is the greatest threat to world peace and the climate And so forth.
And their job is they see it.
They don't have a love for this country as the people on the other side do, who cherish the founding, who cherish the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and understand what it is, understand that the greatness of this country is due to the freedom of its people to be and do whatever they wish to the best of their ability.
They don't that that that is anethemate to them.
They think that has led to an unjust and immoral country with racism and bigotry, the majority tromping all over the minority every day since we've been founded.
Uh and it it's it's something they they must fix.
They must fix.
They don't dislike America.
They dislike America as it was founded.
They want to remake it and they want to rechange it or change it.
I think it's an important point in the United States.
And that to me, by the way, is evil.
If we have people who want to take over the government of this country via elections for the purpose of remaking it and and uh eliminating all of the institutions and traditions that made this agreement, then that's evil to me.
Yes, see, I I would break it even down to something as simple as, you know, good versus bad.
And in Eastern societies where we're dealing with, you know, these jihadists, uh, the fundamentalists they want to go backwards in time to a more primitive state, and they despise the West because we we like progress, you know.
Economic progress is good for us.
I'm not talking about progressivism and progressive thinking or all any of that garbage.
I'm I'm talking about just moving forward, you know, uh helping the human condition.
And so, you know, they they may be a little misguided in that they think they're helping the human condition by getting rid of racism, sexism bigotry, but in fact they practice racism, sexism, and bigotry in the process, and they simply pollute the decency of the country.
I'm gonna I'm gonna let me let me try this another way with you.
All right?
Okay.
To illustrate my point.
Teenage unemployment is running over 50%.
Standard unemployment in this country, the real U6, that's the labor department characterization, the U6 unemployment is approaching 17%.
It's 9.8, but that includes people still looking for a job.
The real unemployment rate, people who've given up and no longer even receive extended unemployment benefits is close to 17%.
In certain cities and states, it's approaching twenty-five percent.
Now, these jobs, it's not only jobs lost now, but this is the delay or loss of entry-level training that could affect the rest of their working lives.
If they if young people cannot get entry-level jobs today and start learning how to work in the workplace at a job, their their productivity as productive members of the workforce is going to be delayed and delayed and delayed.
Now, this is the rush.
I mean, look at this.
I mean, I I studied accounting, you know, with all the things that happened after Enron, you know, with all the Sarbane's Oxley and everything, you would think I'd have be able to easy enough get a accounting job.
But the government put so many restrictions and so much regulation on CPA firms and corporations.
Now, do you think that was just innocent?
Do you think that's a good thing?
Oh no, I think it was I I do believe you that some of it is.
Damn it, it was purposeful.
It was purposeful because that's class envy.
They were simply ginning up average Americans' hatred of corporations and coming up with legislation that would penalize corporations for the sake of only getting people's votes and in the in the in the end of the now, they're harming people's lives by eliminating jobs.
So let me finish this analogy.
Teenage unemployment 50 percent, and as that number goes larger, fewer and fewer people getting jobs, that means fewer and fewer people getting entry-level training, that's going to affect the rest of their lives.
Now, here's the question.
If cutting the minimum wage in half would drop teenage unemployment from 50 percent to ten percent or twenty percent, would the liberals agree to do it?
I think they would, but we who know.
No.
Uh-uh.
This is the point.
If cutting taxes would cause job creation to start, if cutting taxes would cause the economy to rebound, if cutting taxes would lead businesses to grow and invest and hire workers, would liberals cut taxes?
No.
No.
So you acknowledge they're smart, they're educated.
We have history in this country.
The blueprint for getting out of a mess like this was written in the nineteen eighties.
They have gone out of their way to rewrite that period so that the media and the schools teach that the eighties was a decade of greed.
And imperialism.
And imperialism.
When we beat Soviet communism.
My point to you is they will not do what's best for this country and its people if it conflicts with their ideological desires.
That to me is evil.
That to me is not innocent, bumbling idiots.
This is purposeful destruction.
It's a teachable moment, I thank you for, and you have advanced your life by four years in a 20-minute phone call.
All the best, my man.
Talk soon.
Now there's to be fair, ladies and gentlemen, there's an alternative explanation.
For liberals, repeating failed policy after failed policy for 75 years, and that's insanity.
You've heard the classic definition.
You keep you keep trying the same thing over and over again, and you keep expecting a different result is insane.
I'm not even going to give them that acknowledgement.
This they're they're not insane.
They are totally this is by design.
This is who they are.
Obama represents them perfectly.
This is who they are.
Pelosi read, this is who they are.
Barney Frank.
Just listen to them speak.
This is who they are.
All right.
I got a lot of stuff here I gotta squeeze in.
Teachable moment was not part of the plan today, but it just happened, so we dealt with it when the opportunity presented itself.
Back to the American thinker, James Lewis.
Lose Afghanistan, lose Pakistan, lose Iran, lose it all.
The gangster regimes of the world are on the march and they've got our number.
They know how to squeeze more civilized nations.
Our weakness is cowardice.
And that goes double or triple in the face of nuclear weapons.
That's why all the rogues are trying to get nukes as fast as they can.
They know it's the perfect blackmail weapon.
It makes them invulnerable to attack.
That is also why Obama's public rejection of General McCristol's advice on Afghanistan affects your personal safety and mine.
General McChrystal wants more troops.
Obama doesn't want to send them because he needs the money to promote his socialist takeover of America.
You can't have both.
Look at Europe, where the military have become pathetic social welfare programs.
All the air is sucked out by bigger and bicker victim programs.
Obama must be realizing by now that the chance of a major war in the Gulf next year is rising to 100%.
Ahmed Dinizad will have nuclear weapons too.
He already has enough radioactive materials for a dirty nuke.
A low-tech weapon that can spread terror everywhere in the world.
The left always puts the burden of proof for weapons of mass destruction on America, which can never prove their existence, because the CIA rarely can penetrate totalitarian regimes.
You can't prove a negative.
Ever.
So the left is always asking the impossible.
It makes them sound reasonable when they're just sabotaging common sense.
But Saddam had a warehouse full of yellow cake uranium, uranium, as we now know, and to make a terror weapon, all he had to do was load a plane full of that stuff and crash it into the LA library tower, for example.
You don't need a nuclear explosion to spread terror.
All you need is a lot of radioactive stuff thrown together with explosives.
Agricultural fertilizer will do.
For radioactive material, you could use the material in your local X-ray unit.
Saddam did not do that because he feared our inevitable retaliation.
If Israel attacks Tehran, the Iranians will try to retaliate either by a missile strike or by local attacks using Hezbollah or Hamas.
If Israel does not attack Tehran, the Iranians will try to attack Tel Aviv anyway, because it is the key plant in their ideological doctrine.
The only one they have been chanting about for 30 years.
For Israel, it's just in the difference in the timing of an inevitable war.
It's damned if you do, it's damned if you don't.
So it makes more sense for Israel to attack first and expect to defend immediately against Iranian retaliation.
It is far, far better to do that before the Iranians get actual nukes.
If Obama expects to stay out of that battle, good luck.
The Iranians are just as likely to strike as the Saudi oil fields 50 miles away, the Gulf shakens, the U.S. in Iraq, the U.S. Navy in the Gulf, or Israel.
Israel is the best defended state in the region.
Unlike the Arab states, Israel has proven retaliatory capacity.
The Arabs have to rely on us.
But if we don't come through and defend them successfully, the Saudis are all ready to import nuclear weapons from Pakistan.
They've already paid for them by financing the Paki nuke development.
So the U.S. will be drawn into an East Asian or Gulf War.
There's no way it can stay out unless, of course, we want a war to spread wider.
It is the United States that keeps its finger in this dike.
Pull that finger out, and we're going to see a flood.
So we lose and the world does too if we don't beat down the threat.
If we succeed in defending the world in alliance with other countries, we will survive and the gangster regimes will be held back.
Welcome to Obama's choice.
The White House debate on Afghanistan is therefore critical.
That's why General McChrystal is risking his career by going public.
And why the White House is sneering at him in public the way they do.
But McChrystal was appointed just ten months ago as the best expert in the Petraus anti-insurgency doctrine.
There aren't any better military leaders for this kind of conflict.
His willingness to go public shows what kind of values he has.
Obama's now where he dreamed of being, making a huge life or death decision on civilization.
He's never shown any comprehension of America's strategic aims and doctrines in the last sixty years.
I can only guess that he's getting intensive tutoring right now by General Jones and Sec Def Robert Gates, maybe even by Hillary and Bill.
Anybody with credibility will do.
If Obama makes the wrong decision, start digging that hole in your backyard.
It'll be a long-term investment because you'll want a bomb shelter for years to come.
This could be the real Obama stimulus plan.
Bush and Cheney tried to point out all this.
They were shut out by our fantasy-driven media.
The left chose to close its eyes and ears to the plain facts, and now Obama is in charge.
And we're back.
That last piece, James Lewis in the American thinker today.
Lose Afghanistan, lose Pakistan, lose Iran, lose it all.
These are um these are serious times to the phones.
Uh Indianapolis.
Fred, welcome to the EIB network, sir.
Hello.
Hi, Russ.
Uh Pit Steeler Gidddoes.
Thank you, sir.
I just heard some good news.
Palomalo will practice this week.
Palomalu will practice, gonna try to play uh Sunday in Detroit against the Lions.
Yeah.
Uh that day I'm I'm on my way to Tulsa to get married.
So if you're looking for another wedding to crash, we'd love that.
Becoming an expert at wedding crashing.
Okay, uh Russ, today on Fox News, and I got to tell you all the hypocrisy in Washington.
Charles Wrangle really kind of gets my goat.
And today they said that he was going to be coming under some scrutiny this week.
And they wondered if it was better for us or Republican if he got uh sort of taken down, or if he was left in place as a poster boy for everything that's gone wrong in Washington for next year's election.
Let me let me tell you what I know about this uh, and it's uh it's from CBS in New York.
Congressional Republicans are going to draft a resolution designed to oust Wrangle.
Sources uh have told Marcia Kramer, Channel 2 in New York that uh Democrats are discussing a plan to have.
Wrangle resign.
The Democrats are actually talking with Republicans about Wrangell resigning so that Governor Patterson can run for his seat.
This is very strange.
I'm just telling you this is local New York news, but this is what this is what they've it's a new twist.
Highly placed Democrat sources told CBS II HD.
Uh, that's eyeball news.
They have discussed the possibility of using one damaged New York politician to get rid of another.
It centers on having Wrangle resign and giving Governor David Patterson a dignified way to leave Albany by running for Wrangell's seat.
So that's that's what I know about that, and uh that's that's what the latest is on that.
And frankly, that's backseat news to me uh today, although personality-wise, it's interesting.
Look, we've we found another Obama oddball.
Obama's nominee to become commissioner For the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission is Kaya Feldblum.
She's an outspoken gay rights activist, Georgetown University law professor, and she has praised polygamy and contended that traditional marriage should not have privileged status.
Uh uh there's a soundbite we're working on even now.
I just set it up to uh cookie.
Apparently, this this is just an oddball duck, another this is another thing.
People say, why wait a minute?
Obama's always oddballs were.
Does he not know who these people does he not know who Van Jones is?
Valerie Jarrett handpicked Van Jones.
He knows exactly who these people are.
This is who they all are.
This is purposeful, folks.
I know it's difficult for a lot of you to understand that there are Americans who don't like this country as constituted.
I know it's difficult to understand.
You think they're fringe protesters that show up to protest this or that.
No, they're running the country now.
And they've been around since the 60s.
When the academics first got to actually starting in the 40s, this is when the leftist radicals really began to take over the academy.
Intensified their their charges, you know, started growing up in the 60s, and their kids started going to school in the 60s, and it's just it's built and finally they're in charge.
This this is what Bill and Hillary wanted to do in a in a less radical way than Obama, but they're all the same people.
This is who they are.
And Obama got elected.
There's a chance, put all these people in powerful positions to remake this country.
Okay.
Uh this is serious stuff.
Sherwood, Wisconsin, Josh.
Is that right?
John, welcome to the EIB network, sir.
It is Josh.
Hello, sir.
How are you, Mr. Limbaugh?
I've been listening to you since I was just big enough to walk.
It's a pleasure to talk to you.
Um I went to public school all my life, and when I was a g junior in high school, um, I had a teacher that had us read an article that compared our founding fathers to terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq.
And I just wanted to call to first of all thank you for helping me in my conservative view, but also to thank him to strengthen my conservative views.
Uh thank you very much.
Uh you know, you're not the first person that I have heard.
I've heard parents say that they have kids going to school, being taught that the founding fathers were terrorists.
Look at this this is it dovetails precisely with what the radical left, how the radical left views the country.
Unjust, immoral, Eurocentric white supremacy, uh racist, sexist, bigot, homophobia, brought syphilis in, uh, took the land away from the Indians who were at one with it.
They got us the multicultural curriculum in schools.
They hate the country as it was constituted.
They've always been fringes.
They've all they've always been out there.
I mean, they've been telling us who they are for years.
The thing is now they got elected.
They finally got elected.
Exactly.
Um, but again, thank you very much.
I appreciate everything you've done for me.
I know you've opened up my eyes very widely to what's happening.
Well, thank you, sir, very much.
I I have to tell you, though, you couldn't have done it without yourself.
Wow.
You hung in there.
And my mother and my father, they're another one that really helped me in my way.
Well, that's right.
You had a you had a and the conservative view is all basically one in my eyes.
Well, uh excellent.
Thanks so much.
Very nice of you to say.
Now look, here's a story.
In all of my days, I never ever thought this would actually happen.
I knew there were people who wanted to make it happen because they've been shouting and screaming about it my whole life, but I never thought we would elect them.
This is in the Wall Street Journal.
The Obama administration's PAZAR is planning to clamp down on compensation at firms receiving large sums of government aid by cutting annual cash salaries.
We're not talking bonuses here, salaries for many of the top employees under his authority, according to people familiar with the matter.
Instead of awarding large cash salaries, awarding salaries.
Kenneth Feinberg is planning to shift A chunk of an employee's annual salary into stock that cannot be accessed for several years.
Such a move, the most intrusive yet into corporate compensation, would mark the government's first effort to curb the take-home pay of everyone from auto executives to financial traders.
It is no accident they wanted to own the auto companies.
It's no accident they wanted to own and control the banks, the mortgage industry, and Wall Street.
It is who they are.
And if you're out there applauding that these fat cats need to have their salaries cut, then you go ahead and applaud, and I'm going to be applauding when they cut yours.
Actually, I will not be applauding.
I'm going to be defending you against their attacks on your salary.
Mr. Feinberg is expected to issue by mid-October his determination on compensation packages for 175 of the most highly compensated executives and employees at the seven firms he oversees.
The companies are AIG, Bank of America, Citigroup, General Motors, GMAC Financial Services, Chrysler, and Chrysler Financial.
The move will further reshape pay at those firms, could complicate efforts by some of those seven companies to attract top executives and employees.
Hell yes.
And don't tell me they're bumbling idiots and don't know that.
They know exactly what the outcome of this will be.
This is not constitutional, folks.
Many of these companies did not want the government involved.
They were given no choice.
The government does not set people's pay, other than the people who work for the government.
And see, that's the rub.
The more people who work for the government or depend on it, the more people are controlled.
This is all part of a giant redistribution scheme.
This administration is hatched and is well into implementing.
Be right back.
Stay with us.
Bob Herbert, the New York Times today.
Does Obama get it?
Here's the open, the lead.
The big question on the domestic front right now is whether President Obama understands the gravity of the employment crisis facing the country.
Does he get it?
The signals coming out of the White House have not been encouraging.
Poor Bob.
He's so deluded.
Bob, let me let me let me answer this for you.
Please, honestly now, Bob.
He does get it.
Obama gets it.
I don't think Obama cares.
This is all part of the design, Bob.
Why am I wasting my breath?
Bob Herbert will never believe this.
Why am I wasting my never believe it?
Well, that's not a waste.
I'm addressing it to him as a waste.
It just, it's it's so tempting to try to make him understand this.
I I don't think Bob gets it either.
The answer's not FDR.
The answer's not government work projects.
The government, the answer's not stimulus programs, the answer's not a second stimulus, the answer's not cap and trade.
The answer's not health care reform.
How many times this have to be proven, though?
Bob Herbert's not the only one.
Richard Cohen today, they actually ran two headlines on this.
Richard Cohen, Washington Post, Obama doesn't seem ready to lead.
The other headline, does Obama have a backbone?
And then there's uh Roger Simon in the political calling for Barack the Bold.
Obama, the beta male as a premise is getting some company here.
Roger Simon can't stand it anymore.
He joins Cohen.
They want him to be bold in Afghanistan and take the team off the field.
That's bold to them is get out of there.
But that's no wait.
That's that's bold.
Backbone is Richard Cohen.
I'm talking about Roger Simon Politico says there are three of them today.
Now let me explain this, though, folks.
This is not about these guys are worried about Obama's weakness, not because they get out of Afghanistan, get out of it, because it's hurting the domestic agenda.
They want all this garbage in the domestic.
They want health care, they want cap and tax, they want centralized government, they want higher taxes, and they think Obama is endangering all that by flubbing Afghanistan.
They want him to get out of there.
Why do you think Obama went over to the counterterrorism unit today?
He went over there for a photo op.
He went over there to look tough because McChrystal's called him out.
The general has called him out.
They're bumbling and fumbling around.
They've got to make it look like they're on the case.
So he goes over there and makes some of the most ridiculous comments in the world.
He lists off all the places we're fighting al-Qaeda, doesn't mention Afghanistan, doesn't mention Iraq.
It was a pure photo op to distract everybody to create the impression he's on the case when he's not.
He's also having meetings with congressional leaders about Afghanistan today.
Congressional leaders.
When a president has meetings with congressional leaders is to tell them what's happening and what he's going to do.
And I can't see that happening here.
I've got a whole you know, this is a great illustration.
I have a whole soundbite roster.
I've only gotten to about a fourth of it, if that much.
Most of the stack I haven't gotten to.
Because this show is improv.
It it plays out as it happens.
If I were lazy, I'd say, you know what?
I don't have to prep tomorrow's show because I got so much great stuff left from this one.
But I am not lazy.
And by tomorrow, all this stuff, while fascinating and interesting, may be irrelevant compared to what we have to deal with when noon Eastern arrives tomorrow.
But I'm going to hold this stack out.
Um this story about the latest uh the employment equal employment opportunity commission that the Obama's put in there.
I mean, an absolute...
Mmm...
Well, I don't have a word that will work right now.
So let's go to Flat Rock, North Carolina.
Uh, John, welcome to the program.
I'm glad you called, sir.
Megaditos, Rush.
Thank you.
Um, I was very interested in your story in the Washington Post about uh Jennifer Granholm, the Michigan governor.
And uh the first thing that struck me is this article is in a Washington, D.C. paper, not in a Michigan paper.
I think the Michigan news media has a different take on Governor Grandholm.
And uh to show you that I'm a perpetual student in the Limbo Institute.
Uh, what this article describes is the ultimate resume enhancement for a promotion of the governor of Michigan to a senior Obama position.
I can't I can't disagree with any of this.
It's very rare that a caller teaches me, but when it happens, I'm willing to acknowledge it.
You're absolutely right.
The fact this ran in the Washington Post is curious.
What is they what do they care?
Unless they're out there trying to further this notion of the Obama green sector, but they end up trashing it, so I don't think that's it.
Well, there's a lot of people.
But since you're you are concluding that failure is a resume enhancement for Democrats, i.e., look at Jimmy Carter.
Um, then you may indeed have a point here.
What the other end of the green jobs they mentioned, Rush, when they made the announcement, Biden and Gran Human, Michigan, they referred to to them as union jobs.
Does that help?
Uh uh help what?
Help me understand something or help help what?
How she is uh positioning herself as the Democrat star of the Green Revolution.
She may be, but there's nobody, there's nobody gonna star in that green revolution.
Folks, folks, let me give you the numbers of this.
This is incredible.
I'm gonna I'm gonna lose my temper again going through this.
Michigan's lost in her second term, 638,000 jobs.
They're going to lose another 300 and 370,000 by the in the end of next year.
So in 15 months, 370,000 more jobs will be lost in Michigan.
Jennifer Granholm is taking credit for the new green job sector that she's going to be creating.
Forty thousand new jobs in 11 years.
2010.
This is good news.
This country, this is the United States of America.
We ought to be creating 40,000 jobs a day in this country.
And to herald 40,000 jobs in 11 years in Michigan.
Don't make me laugh.
That's just absurd.
All right, we did one of our famous Google searches here, and we have found we we searched the keywords Founding Fathers Were Terrorists.
Google searched Founding Fathers Were Terrorists.
It returned eleven thousand two hundred pages for Founding Fathers Were Terrorists.
That's how mainstream it is, at least uh out there on the internet.
All right, already Wednesday tomorrow, folks.
Don't be absent.
Pop quiz is possible.
