Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 Podcast.
Well, here we are, folks, and uh we're back.
We've got broadcast excellence for three hours straight ahead, hosted by me.
Your adorable and uh shining guiding light.
Your bulwark, your alpha male in a world of chicken.
Rush Limbaugh at 800-282-2882 and the email address L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
Ah, this is fabulous out there.
Now Saturday Night Live is making fun of Obama.
Saturday Night Live isn't You know, here's an interesting thing.
Johnny Carson was loved, as you well know.
I uh he's loved by the whole country.
Johnny Carson, when Johnny Carson dumped on you, you were done.
When Johnny Carson started making fun of it, you were done.
Now, the reason that that happened, see, I am a highly trained broadcast specialist, and I understand these things.
I understand how the the art of broadcasting works.
Carson was not a polarizing figure.
I mean, he was a comedian.
But Johnny Carson had a knack of waiting until the people got it.
And then he let fly.
I am not Johnny Carson.
I don't wait for the people to get it.
I help the people get it.
And since I'm ahead of the people, half of them hate me.
But this we've been making fun of Obama for nine months.
We've been for a year and a half.
Finally, Saturday Night Live cannot avoid it anymore.
The guy is a joke in many, many ways.
It's so funny, even CNN fact-checked a Saturday Night Live skit.
We have the audio coming up.
MSNBC is in it got their underwear in a wad over the Saturday Night Live skit, and they did a whole discussion about it, about Saturday Night Live being mean to the president, going after him, and uh still these Obama hacks are complaining that talk radio cheered Obama's failure to win the Olympics for Chicago.
Now it's really too bad that these fools aren't more animated about winning the war in Afghanistan and lamenting the failure of this president to act like a commander-in-chief with young men and women dying on the battlefield.
What do we have to do here?
We have to get Mayor Daly to call Obama and tell him to focus on Afghanistan and do what needs to be done to win it?
Is that what it's gonna take?
Maybe a phone call from Valerie Jarrett?
Obama has spent more time talking to liberal Democrat doctors dressed in white coats handed out by the White House than he has been talking to his generals.
And that stuff at the White House yesterday, you know.
We learn now that these hundred and fifty doctors are all Obama contributors or supporters, or the vast majority of them are.
They showed up, many of them showed up as you, if you're invited to the White House, you show up uh in a coat and tie.
You have reference for the place.
These guys did not bring, all of them did not bring their lab coats, their doctor jackets, their white coats.
So the White House passed them out.
The White House passed out white coats to the doctors who didn't bring theirs.
Because it's all image.
And when I read the story, I began to think maybe these guys aren't doctors, maybe they're just all actors.
Because I know full well that the vast majority of doctors want no part of Obamacare.
They want no part of any kind of a public option.
They want no part of this at all.
So for you, you Obama hacks who are complaining about talk radio cheering his failure to win the Olympics for Chicago.
You have to understand something.
We conservatives are rooting for our country, especially in the middle of a war, and we don't need lectures from hacks.
Now it's interesting today.
Richard Cohen, Washington Post, Roger Simon Political, Bob Herbert, New York Times all cream Obama today, for basically having no go nets.
Are you up to the job, Barack?
And I'm thinking, now what's bringing this on?
It was only yesterday that we shared the story with you from the American spectator that Obama's a beta male, uh, not an alpha male, and that can be seen now in many, many news stories, and these three guys chime in, and I'll tell you what it is.
They don't care about Afghanistan.
They don't care about Obama leading on the world stage.
What they care about his domestic agenda, and they're afraid he's going to blow the domestic agenda by blowing um international events and uh and national security events.
Obama has no foreign policy.
This is what you got to understand.
Biden's it.
That's comforting, is it not?
Biden is our foreign policy.
This general, McCrystal, do you realize I'm convinced now that this guy, McCrystal leaked to Bob Woodward at the Washington Post.
I think that's how it got, because I think McChrystal, I mean, this is deadly serious stuff what's happening over there.
This is not just Afghanistan.
We get rolled over there and it's over.
And I think this guy, trained general, takes it very seriously.
I think he's scared to death of what he's dealing with, folks.
I really do, and I think that's why he leaked his report.
And I'm just guessing, I'm just a wild guess, but I think this general is scared to death of what he's dealing with in a commander-in-chief who has no foreign policy.
All he does is make international trips, give campaign speeches aimed at promoting himself, when he makes decisions about foreign policy, they're counterintuitive.
By that I mean he embraces the killers and the thugs and the dictators, and he lectures, and worse, he admonishes our allies, the small D Democrats that are our allies around the world.
I wonder if it'll be said because Simon, Roger Simon, Richard Cohen, Bob Herbert.
I wonder if they will be called racist hate mongers today since they have criticized Obama.
Because all these other Obama hacks have called us uh conservative talk show host racist hate monongers.
Uh that's gonna be fascinating.
By the way, um, we do have a message from the White House on the new Afghanistan strategy.
I am aware that some have questioned my changing strategy in Afghanistan.
Just six months after implementing our current plan.
Uh others wonder why it's taking so long to respond to General McChrystal's troop request.
Let me put your mind at ease by telling you that we know Al Qaeda in Afghanistan is a real threat.
In fact, it's the biggest threat we face against the passage of health care reform, further stimulus spending, and climate change legislation.
That is why I am already pursuing my new new strategy called Win-When.
After consulting with Attorney General Holder, General Motors, the Surgeon General, and General Biden.
We call it win-win.
Because America wins if Al Qaeda wins.
Joe says uh worked in Vietnam, and it's essentially to work in Afghanistan.
So you can count on Michelle and I to continue to successfully keep the war out of the news by pursuing the Olympic games or having tea with Ahmadinajad on the Oprah Winfrey show.
While we lose in Afghanistan with dignity.
Thank you.
The latest win-win strategy from the White House.
And President Obama.
All right, let's uh let's talk about the white coats, the doctors, the White House.
They were a manipulation.
I called it yesterday.
I'm on a roll, folks, on C I Told You Sows.
Listen to this.
Obama, a hundred and fifty doctors in white coats in the Rose Garden today to go through the motions of saying they support Obamacare.
I don't know, but I would like to find out if there was a psychiatrist among them, because that's who's needed inside the White House.
This is a classic textbook move by the fascists.
What you do here is you organize the private sector using carrots and sticks to have them work against their own self-interests and for the interests of central planners in Washington.
And that's exactly what happened in there.
Bring in these carrot and sticks, and these doctors that basically Obama supporters and contributors.
A lot of them are not profit, nonprofit doctors, by the way.
A lot of these doctors, we have learned, work for nonprofit uh health institutions.
So they're not they're not even interested in the capitalist cause or aspect of uh of health care.
He did the same thing with uh what was it, the uh uh the hospital business or the no the drug business, the big big drug.
You know, he uh he promised them a whole bunch of um uh escapes, if you will, from his health bill, if they would pony up a hundred and fifty billion dollars to help him advertise his health bill.
So he got them with a carrot and stick to work against their own interests overall.
And this is what he's doing with the doctors.
Here is how it sounded yesterday.
Short little soundbite here, six seconds.
I am thrilled to have all of you here today, and you look very spiffy in your coats.
Which we passed out to you because you didn't show up in your doctor coats.
I think as more than half of these people showed up in regular business attire.
And uh they where'd they get where did they get the white coats?
The doctors show up, half of them aren't dressed appropriately, and they where'd they get the white coats for the doctors and white white coats that fit.
They get them from the kitchen staff in the white where do they get them?
Central cast.
This is why I was wondering why in the world these people are even doctors.
Maybe they are just actors.
The uh New York Post, in a heavy-handed attempt at reviving support for health care reform, the White House orchestrated a massive photo up to bustro buttress its claim that frontline physicians support Obama, a sea of 150 white coated doctors,
all enthusiastically supportive of the president and representing all 50 states, looked as if they were in a costume party as they posed in the Rose Garden before hearing Obama's pitch for the Democrat overhaul bills moving through Congress.
The physicians, all invited guests, were told to bring their white lab coats to make sure that TV cameras captured the image.
Some doctors apparently forgot, failing to meet the White House dress code by showing up in business suits or dresses, or maybe they were just too embarrassed to dress that way for a photo up.
So the White House rustled up white coats for him, it doesn't say how or where, and handed them out to the suited physicians who had taken seats in the sun-splashed lawn area.
Underlying the strictly photo-op nature of the event, the AP noted that Obama broke no new ground in his remarks.
The president told the doctors that if they back him, quote, I'm confident we're gonna get a health care reform passed this year.
The Republican National Committee shot back with a response from Tom Price, a Republican from Georgia, who was an orthopaedic surgeon before being elected to Congress.
He said today the president wants you to believe that the medical community supports his government takeover of health care.
Don't be fooled.
Tom Price is exactly right.
Remember the uh Olympics?
The China Olympics, the Beijing Olympics.
Remember the opening ceremony?
Remember how dazzled everybody was by it?
Do you remember how I mean there were thousands of people, all dressed alike within their groups.
And their movements were beautiful.
They were just captivating, spellbinding, and everybody was mesmerized by the color, the pageantry, and the synchronization of the movements of those thousands of Chinese citizens.
Except me.
It was I who threw cold water on it the next day.
And I said, This is an example of how I'm ahead of the people.
I know you saw what you saw, but you didn't see what I saw.
What I saw scared the hell out of me.
I saw centralized control planning.
I saw the absence of the individual.
I saw nothing but a bunch of brainwashed automaton robots that the ChICOMs had no doubt been training and orchestrating for months, if not years, to achieve the effect that they achieved.
Central planners use visual images to dazzle.
But they serve as a metaphor for control, and that's the key to understanding Obamacare.
It's about control, and so we move forward to the doctors.
Now the doctors goofed up.
They didn't go along with the plan.
Of course, the White House probably didn't have months and months of training time with them, like the Chicoms had with their automaton robot citizens in Beijing for the Olympic opening ceremony.
You see, Obama is a collectivist, folks.
And in order for him to succeed, he must seize liberty.
He must mandate our behavior.
And if you don't comply, the state and the statists fine and perhaps jail you if you don't march exactly the way you were told.
I looked at that.
The sameness, the sameness of that opening ceremony is what bothered me, and everybody else was dazzled by it.
Everybody else was and it's it's hard not to, I understand, folks, most of you falling for it.
Uh that was the purpose.
But it was just scary to me.
And then we have this costume party at the White House yesterday.
So Obama reduced the day.
Actually, it was Halloween.
Halloween about a month early.
People visitors the White House given costumes, all to be made up to look like doctors.
The only thing that surprised me is it didn't hand out stethoscopes and tongue depressors.
And maybe bring in an oxygen tent, have to have a portable MRI in there.
These were the doctors yesterday, our equivalent of the ChICOM children playing dress up in an attempt to take over one-sixth of the economy.
It's all fake with the Obama crowd.
Nothing is real.
It is all a lie.
Well, now this is funny.
We've got videotape on the networks now of Obama over at the new National Counterterrorism Center.
Uh making remarks, my guess is he went over there to try to find Jack Bauer to arrest him for crimes against America.
And if you can find Mitch Rapp from Vince Flynn's books, it'd probably try to put him in jail, too.
Welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network.
This is the skit from Saturday Night Live that has some in the state-controlled media bent so out of shape.
When you look at my record, it's very clear what I've done so far.
And that is nothing.
You think I'm making it up?
Take a look at this checklist.
Now, on my first day in office.
On my first day in office, I said I'd close Guantanamo Mobe.
Is it closed yet?
No.
I said we'd be out of Iraq.
Are we?
Not the last time I checked.
I said I'd make improvements in the war in Afghanistan.
Is it better?
No, I think it's actually worse.
That's uh That's the actor comedian Fred Armison who impersonates uh Barack Obama's Barack Ob.
And we're back.
Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize for this, but we lost every phone line suspiciously, I might add.
We lost every phone line that gets the program out of our Southern Command studio to you.
Uh yeah, we uh were in the process of rerouting everything through a satellite backup here, a satellite uplink backup that we have.
Um we have uh secured one phone line back, and we're trying to find out exactly what happened here.
But uh in the meantime, we're here.
So let me pick up where I was uh where I left off.
As I was saying, uh state-controlled media having a cow over this harmless little bit on Saturday Night Live, this past weekend, it's the actor performer Fred Armison, who doesn't do a good Obama impersonation, but he is portraying Obama in this bit.
When you look at my record, it's very clear what I've done so far.
And that is nothing.
You think I'm making it up?
Take a look at this checklist.
Now, on my first day in office, on my first day in office, I said I'd close Guantanamo Mobe.
Is it closed yet?
No.
I said we'd be out of Iraq.
Are we?
Not the last time I checked.
I said I'd make improvements in the war in Afghanistan.
Is it better?
No, I think it's actually worse.
State-controlled media has its underwear in a wad.
As I said, you need to take the skirt off of this guy.
If you're the media, you gotta stop protecting him.
He's the quarterback.
He's supposed to be a man, an alpha male, and they can't even get away with teasing him now on Saturday Night Live.
They're whining Saturday Night Live made the slightest bit of fun of Obama, which is what Saturday Night Live does.
I mean, for crying out loud, Will Farrell is still out there making a living off making fun of George W. Bush.
So yesterday and last night, here's a montage of a bunch of state-controlled media people whining about the Saturday Night Live bit.
Saturday Night Live taking on President Obama.
Saturday Night Live was a little rough on the president.
How should this White House Deal with a Saturday Night Live skit like this.
Do they just ignore it?
Saturday Night Live actually mocked Barack Obama.
But friends like these at present does not need enemies.
Saturday Night Live just skewered the president.
What's insult to injury?
It's when Saturday Night Live starts to take notice.
Saturday Night Live skewered the president.
Is it a sign of tough times to come?
This sketch missed the mark because great comedy is based in truth.
And I'm like, are you kidding me?
There's a role for humor, but come on.
There's a role for humor, but come on.
And and who was it?
Whoever said the sketch missed the mark.
Great comedy is based in truth.
Everything they said in the sketch is true.
Now here's Eugene Robinson.
Real clear politics.
He's a columnist for the Washington Post.
Generals need to shut up and salute.
Sure, the generals need to shut up and salute, unless they oppose Bush and the Iraq War, and then the generals are supposed to stand up and to disobedient so that they can be praised by the likes of Eugene Robinson.
Saturday Night Live Skit was even fact-checked by CNN.
They fact-check a comedy show to see if they lied about Obama.
Bill Adair, editor of PolitiFact.com, a nonpartisan fact-checking website that rates the statements of elected officials says SNL missed the mark on some of its claims.
I think SNL tended to kind of gloss over what is a fair amount of progress by this administration about sending two additional brigades to Afghanistan.
We rated that a promise kept.
On Iraq, Saturday Night Live said not done.
And of course that's true, they're not done.
As for health care, Adair says SNL also got it wrong since that legislation is still stalled in Congress.
But Adair says the sketch did get some things right, like Guantanamo Bay.
This is not a fair portrayal of how Obama's done.
This is just unbelievable, folks.
It is you know they're two different media worlds out there.
You know, it's typified by what happened uh uh over the weekend when this BBC reporterette did not know that when I went uh on Friday, we're talking Friday afternoon at Obama's failed bid to get the Olympics Barack Hussein Obama.
They played that all over MSNBC, and this info babe from BBC America was just beside herself.
How can that was that's so insidious, did she say?
Insidious to mention his middle name.
She was totally clueless of this episode at the New Jersey school kit where the teacher indoctrinated the little kids to sing that song with those words.
She was clueless.
Now, how is it that I, El Rushbow, I know everything they're doing in their world.
I don't have to read a website to tell me what happened on MSNBC.
I don't need to read a website to tell me what happened on CNN, or it's in the New York Times because I expose myself to all this stuff to find out what they're doing.
Because in a sense, they are the enemy.
These people only know what is in their little cocoon world.
If they don't know about it, they don't report it, obviously.
And if they don't report it, they don't know about it, and they don't care to know about it.
All they do, uh, ladies and gentlemen, is read websites that summarize what's said on this show and others, and then report what is said.
They never even call us to ask, well, did you really say this?
Uh, what did you mean by this?
Uh, were you trying to be funny?
What's the point here?
Very few of them do.
Some do, but very few do.
I certainly have never heard from this babe Catty Kay at the BBC America.
But she was just clueless to stop and think about this.
Those of us on our side of the aisle know everything they do.
We read them, we watch them.
They have no clue.
It's they they do everything they do for each other.
The Sunday morning shows are nothing more than shows for everybody else in the media.
They are not even for the audience.
They're not even for the American people anymore.
It is a closed circle.
It is an inside the beltway.
Well, I should say inside the New York Washington Axis or corridor.
That's who they program to, and that's what they do.
This woman did not know.
And I bet you a whole bunch of the state controlled media does not to this day know.
That school children all over the country are being made To recite poems and sing songs in dedication to dear leader Barack Hussein Obama.
Mmm, mmm, mmm.
This is quite stunning, actually, when you consider how puffed up they think they are, how important they think they are, how smart they think they are, how aware these are the people say we need filters out there.
You can't trust what's here on talk radio, you can't trust what you're eating the sewer of the internet.
You don't even trust us.
And they don't know what's going on.
They haven't the slightest idea what's going on.
And now fact checking.
A Saturday Night Live Skit.
Seriously fact-checking a Saturday Night Live skit.
Breathtaking.
Unbelievable, except that it happened.
We must take a brief time out here.
We'll be back.
We'll continue.
Get some of your phone calls El Quicko.
Sit tight, folks.
And we're back, El Rushbow serving humanity here from the uh safely secured uh EIB Southern Command.
We are at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Great to have you with us.
Let's move on to the economy.
We're gonna get to Afghanistan in depth here uh as as we get into the uh the next hour of the program.
Lots to do here today, and as I always say, we can't do it all in one segment.
We can't even do it all in one hour.
We can barely do it all in one show.
That's why I say the show never ends.
This is from uh looks like uh Yahoo Finance story.
I forget the I don't know, it's in the long link, I can't tell where it's from.
It's probably one of the wire services.
The real economy is dying.
And a well-known financial wizard says that the fourth quarter is gonna be a bloodbath.
Stocks rallied to start the week thanks to a better than expected services sector, ISM services sector report, and a Goldman Sachs upgrade of big banks, including Wells Fargo and Capital One, but all is not right in either the economy or the banking sector, according to Christopher Whalen, the managing director at Institutional Risk Analytics.
In fact, Whalen says that most observers are drawing the wrong economic conclusions from the stock market's robust rally.
He says, why is liquidity going into the financial sector?
It's because the real economy is dying and everyone is fleeing into the stocks and bonds because they're liquid at the moment.
This is not a good sign, says Christopher Whalen.
The banking sector's assets shrunk by about $300 billion per quarter in the first half of the year, a sign of banks hoarding cash in anticipation of additional future losses.
The real economy is shrinking because of a lack of credit.
Now, what the hell was TARP all about?
What the hell was it all about?
It was about reinfusing capital.
It was about making loans to people.
And of course, Obama says all that's happening.
It's not happening.
There is no credit virtually.
And even if there were, who could afford to take out a loan right now with the economy in the sad, sorry shape that it's in?
And yet the Obama people are running around talking about how wonderful everything is.
And we've reached the brink, and we've turned back from it, and it's getting worse.
Obama's own people slipped up the other day and said that it's going to be at least the end of the year before there's an uptick in jobs.
Now we bring another expert, and this is from the from the Heritage Foundation today.com.
Not everybody's enthusiastic about the recovery.
New York Federal Reserve President Bill Dudley is concerned about several things, including commercial real estate.
Financial markets are performing better, but on the negative side, unemployment is way too high.
People are in the stock market, remember, because Christopher Whalen says, because the rest of the economy is dying.
The real economy is dead, and the fourth quarter is going to be a bloodbath.
Now, Whalen, I'm sorry, Dudley who spoke last night at Fordham University, said the recovery will turn out to be moderate by historic standards, an outcome he calls disappointing and which will not bring the unemployment rate down quickly.
He said three restraining factors are in play.
The shock to household net worth seems likely to have several important implications for household Behavior.
The fiscal outlook, as the stimulus is a temporary fix, it's no fix at all, actually, and banks still in the dump's balance sheets, uh, which makes them capital constrained and hesitant to expand their lending, which has been reported in the first story.
Now, Bill Dudley then addressed the 800-pound gorilla in the room, commercial real estate, which is under particular pressure.
And uh I'm reading a lot of guys like Bill Dudley out there, and they all say that commercial real estate's the next shoot a drop, and it I guess it makes sense.
He's saying there's not going to be a V-shaped recovery.
You know, normally you have a recession, and you got a the the left side of the V, and then you bottom out, and the right side of the V starts happening, you tick back up.
We're not looking, we're maybe looking at a W shape with a double dip, or maybe a long protracted U recovery is what everybody's looking at.
It ain't gonna be pretty, and it isn't gonna be str it isn't gonna be quick, and it's all being held back by Obama's policies.
There's not one thing this administration has done to actively stimulate this economy.
What this administration has done is depress the economy.
And I continue to maintain that this is not accidental.
Nobody with half a brain, even after nine months of trying this, okay, this isn't working.
Now they're talking about a second stimulus.
Second stimulus?
Well, I don't know.
Let this work.
Biden says it's working great.
Where would we be if we hadn't done the stimulus?
We'd be a hell of a lot better off.
And while all this is going, what's Obama doing?
He's passing out uniforms, white coats for people to wear at a press event, grown professional adults being given white coats to wear at a press event.
I'm surprised they didn't pass out Mao jackets or Hillary Clinton pantsuits to go along with the white coats.
The New York Times, as job losses rise, Obama aids act to fix safety net.
Let me translate this for you.
Obama is rushing to put a safety net under his economic stimulus casualties.
It's unbelievable.
We need a safety net now to help people who are the casualties of Obama's stimulus plan.
That's not what the New York Times says, but that's what the story means.
Export Selection
