Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 247 Podcast.
Amidst billowing clouds of fragrant aromatic first and second hand, premium cigar smoke.
I am Rush Limboy, and this is the Excellence in Broadcasting Network, and we've got three hours of it straight ahead for you, and lots coming up.
A telephone number if you want to be on the program.
Nice that you could join us, uh Sturdley, 800-282-2882.
And the email address, L Rushball at EIBNet.com.
Can you say public option health care next Thursday?
That is the objective of Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, and I'm going to explain to you in a few short minutes exactly how they intend to do it.
By next Thursday, a week from tomorrow, public option health care, single payer, whatever you want to say.
Parliamentary procedures here being used.
It'll open your eyes, and it's real.
I wanted a couple other things at first.
Sarkozy.
We talked about him yesterday.
Sarkozy expressing all kinds of nervousness about Obama.
Last night on Greta Van Susteren's show on Fox...
She spoke with Jack Kelly of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, who says that he has sources who've told him that uh Sarkozy has the same opinion of Obama that we do.
Greta Van Sestrin's question was prior to this issue of Iran arising in Pittsburgh at the G twenty, and before that at the General Assembly at the UN, what was President Sarkozy's view of President Obama and have they patched things up a little bit?
I have a friend who has one friend who is close to Sarkozy and another who is a member of the Francis uh external uh intelligence agency.
And they both say that uh Sarkozy thinks uh that President Obama is incredibly naive and grossly egotistical, so egotistical that no one can dent his naivete, and that he's very worried about what that means for the West, because the the President of the United States is the leader of the free world.
And if the President of the United States isn't going to lead the free world, it isn't going to be led.
See, I go back and forth on this naivete business.
I don't doubt that there's some naivete, but I think there's an incredible ego and hubris.
But I say, I think all this is on purpose.
I think all this from the from the destroying the U.S. economy to creating as much welfare as possible or creating as much dependence on government, I think it's all possible.
I think, and I'm sorry to sound like a broken record on this.
I really don't believe it's naivete.
I think that Barack Obama and the gang which spawned him have an active dislike for this country as founded.
You can hear it in all of his speeches.
Every time he goes around the world, apologizes for the United States.
That speech at the United Nations.
Everybody says it's sophomoric, probably was in a strict uh analysis on the basis of content so forth.
But if you listen to several things about it, you find there's hardly anything but naive hardly any naivete there.
Me essentially said, my country sucked.
My country sucked, and every every one of you in this body who thought the United States was a bad deal.
You're right.
But look at what we've done to change it in the last nine months.
Look how much it's better since I'm here.
Now that's I don't think that's naivety, and I it is certainly ego, but folks, we're dealing with a guy who is out to destroy the whole concept of the West.
Western civilization, the West in terms of a geopolitical uh organization of nations, out to destroy it.
We've never seen anything like this.
Gore Vidal even says that we're headed toward a dictatorship soon in the United States of America.
And this is a guy that this is in the UK Times.
He voted for Obama.
Conversation with Gore Vidal.
Now, I know Gore Vidal himself is insane, uh, but this, nevertheless, quite instructive.
Gore Vidal uh famously switched allegiance from Hillary to Barack Obama during the nomination process, and now in this interview, he regrets his change of heart.
How's Obama doing?
He was asked, dreadfully.
I was hopeful.
He was the most intelligent person we've had in that position for a long time, but he's inexperienced.
He has a total inability to understand military matters.
He's acting as if Afghanistan's a magic talisman.
Solve that and you solve terrorism.
Another notable Obama misstep has been health care reform.
He screwed it up.
I don't know how, because the country Wanted it.
America has no intellectual class.
It's rotting away at funereal pace.
We'll have a military dictatorship fairly soon on the basis that nobody else can hold anything together.
Obama would have been better off focusing on educating the American people.
Now, this is in the women's section of the UK Times, the Life and Style section.
But Gor Vidal, who himself is a left-wing lunatic.
Apparently, himself, despite his lunacy, is seeing the lunacy he's looking at when he looks at the White House.
I guess it takes a lunatic to see a lunatic of no one.
See, the problem is if if Obama had more experience in the public or private sector, he never would have been elected president in the first place.
The more we know, the more the myth of Obama fades.
It was Obama's inexperience and planitudes that got him elected.
It's his inexperience is going to do great harm to the country and the world that we used to lead.
And but I I I think I think all the inexperience, all the naivete misses the point of what we're dealing with here.
We're dealing with somebody who's got a chip on his shoulder, and it's been placed there from the moment he was born by people who reared him, by the church he went to, by his buddy Bill Ayers.
If you just look at who his friends are Valerie Jarrett, the Chicago machine, Richard Daly.
Why is Obama off in Copenhagen?
Now there are many, many theories about this.
Some people think, no, it's not in the bag.
It's not in the bag, and Daly wants it, and Daly made Obama.
Daly opened up the machine to Obama, and Daly said, You better get yourself over there, and you better get this for me, because I want all that money flowing in here for 2016.
I need to keep going on my patronage, and I need to get corruption.
You know, the way the machine works.
And so Obama's essentially been ordered by Daly to get over there and get this done.
That's one theory.
Another theory is it is done, and Obama's going over there just to accept the accolades and so forth.
The theory being that he would not dare stick foot in Copenhagen if there was a chance that the uh Chicago would not be granted a 2016 Olympics.
Now, Michelle, my Bell Obama arrived there this morning.
Two different airplanes.
She flew her 757.
He's going to fly the 747 tomorrow.
They have to go 747 back up.
A third 747 goes to provide communications over the Atlantic.
All kinds of support people have to fly over to advanced commercial.
A bunch of uh military jets and cargo planes have to take limousines and so forth.
And this is not state business.
Now, it'd be a mistake to focus on all the money that's being spent on this.
Instead, you need to focus on the priorities.
And I really do believe, I'm I've thought about this.
I really do think that it's not in the bag.
And I think that's why Daly ordered him to get over there.
And Daly's in the Mayor of Chicago, get yourself over there and and and you get this done.
You owe us is uh, I think I think one of the things that's uh that's guiding this.
Mike, I'm gonna interrupt what I told you about the Soundbite Order because Gore Vidal says we really don't know who the guy is.
Um Joe Klein said the same thing, I'm just looking for the bite.
Number four.
Number four and number five.
Joe Klein, Time Magazine who thinks that uh talk radio is the biggest problem facing America today, was uh was on MSNBC yesterday afternoon, Andrea Mitchell's show.
She said, We saw that even now with David Gregory on Meet the Press.
Any interview with Bill Clinton's just a rich mind of his knowledge, his assessments, his instincts, and I suspect that um that's one of the reasons Obama had lunch with him in Greenwich Village two weeks ago to pick his brain.
Now these people are living in a fantasy world.
If they think that's why they had lunch together, but here's what Klein said.
He knows a lot.
The other interesting thing is the contrast between these two men.
Clinton is so wildly emotional and over the top, and Obama is so buttoned down, and it makes you realize how little we still know about President Obama, even after eight or nine months in office.
Then what explains your slavish devotion to him, Joe?
So little is known about him.
Joe, call me.
I'll tell you everything you want to know about the guy.
And I've never met him, and I've never covered him up close like you have, and I'll tell you everything you want to know.
I'll tell you everything he's doing, and I'll be spot on right.
Let's go back to the archives, October 29, 2008, Charlie Rose show, PBS.
He's talking to Tom Brokow.
I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.
No, I don't know how he really sees where China is.
We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
I don't really know.
And do we know anything about the people who are advising them?
You know, it's an interesting question.
He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational speeches.
I don't know what books he's read.
What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
There's a lot about him we don't know.
Yeah, that was to a couple days before the election, three or four days before the election, and Joe Klein says eight or nine months later, we still don't know who the guy is.
Call me, Joe.
Send me an email, Joe.
I'll tell you exactly who Barack Obama is and what's headed for this country.
It's right, that's for everybody to see.
It doesn't take a neophyte to understand his economic policies are not designed to improve things.
Check this.
The U.S. economy contracted.
I mean, the the this is Reuters, and they're really trying so hard to put a happy spin on this economic mess.
U.S. economy contracted at a slower pace than previously thought.
That's another way to say unexpected in the second quarter, but a further decline in private payrolls in September was another indication that recovery from recession would be patchy.
There is no recovery from the recession.
And that is by design.
We learned today that two and a half billion dollars of stimulus money is going to the Clinton Library and Massage Parlor for renovations.
We're sending more money to the uh the National Science Foundation, stimulus money that was designed to put people back to work.
The Clinton Library and Massage Parlor, which got who knows how many billions of dollars in donations.
Commerce Department said on Wednesday that gross domestic product fell at a 0.7% annual rate instead of the one percent rate.
Uh that was uh reported last month.
This was better than market expectations, but still, let me check Wall Street.
It opened up today.
Uh down this is down 70.
Uh there's a lot of there's there's a lot of unease.
There's nothing coming back, folks.
The economy's not rebounding.
Look at this story.
This is from the Associated Press about California.
Somebody has actually offered a plan in California to help the economy, and it'll never fly.
Let me share with you the details.
This is unbelievable.
A state commission is expected to submit a report to Governor Schwarzenegger that recommends bold changes to California's tax system.
But it's being met by political skepticism before the ink dries.
The Commission on the 21st century economy is expected to recommend repealing the sales and corporate taxes.
Repealing them.
Do you hear this?
Repeal sales and corporate taxes, flatten the income tax rate, meaning make it a little easier on the rich, and taxing businesses in a way that has never been tried on a wide scale in the United States.
A draft copy of the report attained by the AP showed the Commission will recommend that the cash-strapped state change its personal income tax structure to reduce the burden on the wealthy.
Critics argue that the plan has not been well studied.
B.S. It has been studied.
It works every time it's tried.
So here we have California in the tank, like water circling in a drain.
Part of the reason is because it's driven away many of the achievers and many of the entrepreneurs with high taxes.
Same thing in New York.
Things have now gotten so desperate.
Someone in California's actually had a good idea.
When things reach their lowest, what do they always turn to?
Basic conservative economic theory.
And it's called bold changes to California's tax system.
So when a state wants to get back on its feet, when it seriously wants to get back on its feet, what does it recommend out of utter desperation?
Tax cuts.
Repeal the sales in corporate taxes.
Replace them with a new business levy that taxes net receipts, not gross.
Flatten the income tax rate to reduce the burden on the wealthy.
They must be listening to this program.
This is what we have been suggesting that happen all across the country, state after state and in Washington.
The fact is this thing doesn't have a chance in California with the um structure of the California legislature, the assembly, and the Senate.
So we continue in a spiral downward.
The President of the United States is unconcerned.
He's telling us the exact opposite of what's going on.
Now he's off to Copenhagen, probably on the orders of Richard Daly in Chicago to go secure the Olympics for 2016, delaying whatever we're going to do in uh in Afghanistan.
Um, and Congress's secret plan to pass Obamacare by next Thursday.
This is not reconciliation, by the way.
This is not reconciliation.
Sit tight.
I will explain all this when we come back.
A man, a legend, a way of life.
Learn it, love it, live it.
Rush Limbaugh in good health, a bulwark serving humanity, emitting vocal vibrations behind this.
The golden EIB microphone, government run health care by next Thursday.
The Washington Post front page, prospects for public option dim in the Senate.
This all because of the vote yesterday in committee.
Hey, Rush, hey, Rush, it failed, it failed, and they didn't tell you about it until after your show, so you couldn't rip them to shreds.
Don't be fooled, folks.
Senate Finance Committee did vote down two amendments that each would have added a government-run insurance plan to the committee's health care bill.
But two key Democrat Senators who voted against Rockefeller's and Nelson's plans, uh Rockefeller's plan, Nelson and Tom Carper voted for Chuck Schumer's version of this.
And according to an independent analysis of Senate Democrat public statements on the public option, that raises the number of Democrats on record supporting a public option from 47 to 49.
That means that Tom Harkin, who's chairman of the health, education, labor, and pensions committee help, uh, said that Democrats comfortably have the remaining votes to reach 51 and pass a public plan once the debate moves to the House floor.
Now, here's here's how this is going to happen.
And as as Brian Darling, who is uh uh works at the Heritage Foundation, he's director of the U.S. Senate relations and heritage.
President Obama, Liberals in Congress seem intent on passing comprehensive health care reform, even though polls suggest it's unpopular with the American people.
This is like they're gonna bring the Olympics to Chicago, and over half Chicago doesn't want the Olympics, but you know, the the the small R Republican that defines this country representative republic.
It's gone.
It's gone.
We may as well have a semi-dictatorship now.
We may as well have a semi-tyranny now.
Because the small R Republican that defined this form of government has just been whitewashed away.
The Senate plans here's here's how they're gonna do this.
The Senate plans to attach their health care bill to a House passed bill that has nothing to do with health care.
You say, well, Rush, why the hell can I do that?
Well, they can do anything they want.
Nobody knows right now what that legislation looks like because it hasn't been written.
But many members plan to rubber stamp Obamacare without reading or understanding the bill.
The Senate Finance Committee worked very hard last week to mark up a conceptual framework of health care reform.
The uh committee actually rejected an amendment by uh Republican Jim Bunning to mandate that the bill text and final cost be publicly available as 72 hours before the Finance Committee votes on final passage.
So the following four-step scenario describes one way that the Liberals plan to work the rules in their favor to get Obamacare through the Senate.
Step one is this the Finance Committee must first approve the marked-up version of Baucus's framework.
Then Harry Reid can say that two Senate committees have passed a health care bill.
Bauchus' committee and Harkin's committee, the help committee.
So you have two Senate committees have passed the bill which will allow Reed to take extraordinary steps to get the bill on the Senate floor.
During the markup last week, members had difficulty offering amendments and uh and trying to make constructive changes because they lacked actual legislative text, and Baucus made unilateral last-minute changes.
For example, the AP reported, quote, under pressure from uh fellow Democrats, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee decided to commit an additional $50 billion over a decade toward making insurance more affordable for working class families.
Step two.
After the two Senate bills have been introduced on the floor, Senator Reed will take the final product of those two bills, the Senate Finance Committee, And merge it with the help committee bill, which passed on a party line vote in July.
So the two health care bills in the Senate will be merged into one.
Now, usually a bill is voted out of committee, and then the Senate takes up the final product on uh of the committee so that all 100 senators can have a hand in the process.
But with some help from the Obama administration, Harry Reid alone will decide what aspects of the help and finance committee bills to keep.
They're gonna merge this, they're gonna actually take whatever he Harry Reid and Obama want from the two Senate bills.
Then, when that's done, Senate Obamacare will be ready to hitch a ride on an unrelated bill from the House.
Senator Reed will move to proceed to H.R. 1586.
Now that that bill is a bill that imposes a tax on bonuses received by certain TARP recipients.
That bill was passed in the wake of the AIG controversy.
So let me stop right there because it's this this there's this never another step after this to explain how this is all gonna happen.
All right, let me see if I can synthesize this and make the complex understandable.
They want to get a health care bill to Obama next week.
They don't want to have to go through the 60 vote requirement, and they really don't want to go through reconciliation because there's been enough education now that people know reconciliation is only used for budget items.
The rules prevent it for anything else.
But they want to get this health care bill through because they're losing on the issue of the American people.
They don't want any more debate about it.
So they've got two bills in the Senate.
They got Harkin's bill, I got Baucus's bill, two different committees.
They're gonna take Harry Reed's gonna take the parts of both of these bills that he likes and merge them, come up with uh, you know, one bill and take it to the Senate floor.
Now, after they've got their health care bill to the Senate floor, as you know, the House has to do something on this as well.
The House health care bill hasn't passed, but there is a bill in the House that's been collecting dust over there that has passed, is sitting around, the Senate hasn't taken any action on that bill.
That is a bill that imposes a tax on bonuses received by certain TARP recipients.
That was passed by the House in the wake of the AIG bonus controversy.
So you have the House bill, and that's what Harry Reed wants to attach the merged Senate bill to.
You say, Well, how do they get them health care?
Stand by.
That's the complex being made understandable here right before your very eyes and ears.
Now, this this move to proceed at this point does require 60 votes to start the debate.
After the motion is approved, Senator Reed will offer Obamacare as a complete substitute to the unrelated uh House past bill.
So what this means, and with the cooperation of Pelosi, the House is the House is not being left out of this, it's all part of stratagem.
What this means is that the entire health care reform effort will be included as an amendment to the TARP bill that has been collecting dust in the Senate for months because the House passed it long ago.
The Senate hasn't taken any action on it.
So Reed is gonna merge these two health care bills, attach it to the TARP bill basically as an amendment, and then have the TARP bill passed, the uh bonus bill passed uh in the Senate.
Now, for this strategy to work, it's not it's not smooth sailing, it's not like uh a height knife through butter.
The proponents here would need to hold together the liberal caucus of 58 Democrats, including Paul Kirk, who was named to replace Senator Kennedy, and Lieberman and Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
These members will all have to hold hands and vote against any filibuster.
And that still remains the big obstacle for them.
Uh, once the Senate takes up the bill, after they've got the 60 votes to start debate, it doesn't take 60 more votes to pass it.
Once once debate has started, once they got that 60 votes to get going, after that, all they need is 51 votes to pass it.
And it's it's possible that one of the endangered moderate Democrats like Blanch Lincoln of Arkansas could vote to stop a filibuster, then vote against Obamacare so as not to offend any angry constituents.
So that's gonna be the big thing to watch.
And and by the way, very little of this is gonna be made, is gonna be happening publicly.
Uh a lot of this is behind the scenes.
You're gonna wake up one day if all this goes as Reed and Pelosi and Obama have it planned, and you're gonna wake up one day and find out that they've all voted on uh on single payer health care with a public option in it.
And you say, well, wait a minute, what happened to the House bill where we the House bill is the TARP bill.
And the Senate health care bill becomes an amendment to it.
Then they go to conference, everybody accepts it, signs off on it.
Once the Senate passes their bill with their with their version of the bonus bill and sends it to the House, all the House would have to do is pass it without any changes.
And Obama will then present it with his health care reform measure.
If this doesn't work, then they're going to have to go back to reconciliation to pass the legislation.
So, I mean, they've still got some things in their way.
It's not smooth sailing, but this is the plan.
And of course, one of the things that we we say here, all we have to do is in the House, you just have them pass the bill without any changes.
That's going to be tough because the House has its own renegades over there, and it's got a congressional black caucus and all these different disparate groups who might not like everything in the Senate bill, or the Senate bill might not have enough in it to satisfy them.
So it's not smooth sailing.
But what the point here is is to give you a sense of the anti-American public sentiment that is that is fueling the passage of this bill.
They know, Harry Reed and Pelosi both know that if they conduct the debate and produce the legislation in a standard way, that they won't have a bill by Christmas.
They won't have a bill by next year if it if they do it in normal circumstances.
But if they play rule games in parliamentary rule games and actually have the health care bill sent to Obama be a bill that uh taxes bonuses paid to TARP recipients that has an amendment, health care reform.
They think that this is a way to get it done surreptitiously without a whole lot of people knowing what is going on.
And if they do it this way, you are now informed and advised, and you uh will will have a big say so in stopping this.
But the point here, folks, I mentioned that we're gonna the the small R Republican, a representative republic here, nothing to do with the Republican Party.
It's just it's out the window.
These leftists, these Democrats don't give a rat's rear end about the democratic process or what you want.
This is all about the advancement of their agenda.
And don't be fooled.
Don't be fooled.
They're gonna try to ram something through by any means possible.
They're gonna conceal the true nature of it.
If they get away with this, they're going to tell you that they're finally taking action on taxing the bonuses of these rich elitist Wall Street types.
And they think that the class envy that they've created will have universal acceptance of the part of the American people.
Oh, yeah, tax those AIG bonuses, tax everybody else's bonuses.
That's what they're gonna do.
It's gonna be a faint and a misleading thing.
This is how Harry Reid's gonna drive the whole legislation back to the House.
Uh, and and this is essentially what reconciliation is uh is all about.
And in one move, and they're targeting next week to get this done.
In one move, the U.S. Congress will take over hospitals, will take over laboratories, will take over the medical profession, will take over the insurance companies.
What what they are planning, let me let me put it to you in a an even more understandable fashion.
What they are plotting and hope to pull off by next week will make the takeovers of General Motors and Chrysler look like a joke.
And once they've taken over the hospitals, the labs, the medical profession, the insurance companies.
Guess who's gonna get patronage jobs in all these industries?
The union people, particularly the SEIU union people.
The Harry Reed Pelosi Obama plan comes down to this.
The Democrats are scheming against the American people as they have been all along.
The Obama administration, starting with the campaign, was a scheme against the American people and against the traditions and institutions that have defined this country's greatness.
I know I say that like a broken record, but it takes repetition.
The Obama administration is a scheme.
The Obama campaign was A scheme.
There's not going to be any tort reform in this if they're just window dressing.
And the purpose will be to siphon money from taxpayers and doctors and hospitals to the trial lawyers, who in turn will load up Democrat coffers with contributions.
And during every election cycle, a Democrats using the power of government will reward those who support them and deny those who don't support them with any benefits.
In the end.
This is going to drive the nation into poverty.
It is going to drive the nation into disunity.
But by the time that happens, this is not going to happen overnight.
By the time that happens, the current crop of leftists and radicals engineering all this will be gone.
They don't care about the nation's future and your children.
They don't care about.
They care about them now and changing and remaking this country in their image and getting it done in such a way that rolling it back will be difficult if impossible to do.
Get this.
I mean, it's folks, it's this simple.
Take it or leave it.
Marxism, socialism, statism generally creates poverty.
You want to hear something funny?
Kim Jong-il has decided that he's uh communism doesn't work.
He's decided he's saying he's taken the word communism out of the North Korean Constitution and replaced it with socialism.
I don't care where you go, whatever they call themselves, progressives, go to Detroit.
What do you see in Detroit?
Abject poverty.
What do you see in most of Michigan?
Abject poverty.
What do you see where liberal Democrats, socialists, anywhere in the world have total unchecked power to run things, be it a country or being a city or be in a state?
You see abject poverty.
Marxism, socialism, create poverty.
I know it's hard to believe that this is somebody's design, but it is.
Somebody who thinks this is an immoral and unjust country.
This country deserves to live like the rest of the world.
The rest of the world lives in poverty because of us.
This is what Obama believes.
Obama believes we've stolen the riches of the world, that we have used our imperialism to dominate the world and we're unjust and immoral.
If he could rip up that constitution, he would do it.
He doesn't like it.
It's an obstacle.
It is a problem.
If you don't believe me on this, try this.
I don't know if you've heard about this.
Pat Leahy and John Conyers, Leahy in the Senate, Conyers in the House, are pushing a bill through Congress that'll create sixty-three new federal judgeships.
There's only one reason for that.
Load up the judiciary with more leftists who will ensure that the policies this Congress and this president pass today will be forever upheld within the law.
You heard of Roosevelt stacking the Supreme Court, these guys are stacking the federal judiciary.
Sixty-three new federal judgeships.
The goal of all of this is to smother the individual.
The individual, you will be so busy working your way through the maze of rules that are imposed on you in this healthcare business and everything else that you won't have time to think for yourself.
Make no mistake about this.
This is all aimed at robbing you of your humanity and forcing you to bow down to the state.
If you feel sick, you need a procedure, need a prescription.
You're going to be thinking about the government.
Who do I see?
What do they want me to do for it?
Where do I go?
What do I have to do to have my treatment approved?
In other words, you are going to be relying on government for your survival.
That's never happened before in this country outside of national security and natural disaster context.
This has never happened before.
From now on, you're going to need your government's permission to get well.
Even if there are people who can medically help you, even if there are technologies and drugs that can help you, you're still going to need permission from the government, some bureaucrat before you can make use of them.
Because some bureaucrats are going to tell a doctor somewhere or a hospital whether or not you qualify for treatment.
This is the ultimate Power over you and your family.
You will do anything your government says you'll do anything you must if it's a life or death scenario, and especially if it involves your kids, your kids have a sickness.
You'll do anything.
Your government asks you to do.
The road to serfdom.
To uh steal the title of a great book by Friedrich von Hayek.
The Road to Serfdom is paved in Obamacare that they want on his desk for signature by next week.
It's not going to be a matter of whether you can or cannot pay.
It won't be a matter of whether you have coverage or don't have coverage.
What'll matter is that all of us will be slaves, will become slaves to the arbitrary and inhumane decisions of distant bureaucrats working in Washington where there's no competition.
Nobody you can go to if you don't like what you hear from the from the bureaucrats that you have to deal with.
And if you want to take a close look at it, listen to those and those in this administration and those who run Congress what they're saying.
About 9.7% unemployment and over 52% youth unemployment.
What do you what are you hearing about that?
Nothing.
You're not hearing a word.
You're not hearing a word about the dismal economy other than that, it's going to be bad for a while working on it.
Stimulus is working.
Working better than we ever imagined.
Obama flies off to make some pitch for the Olympics.
When he and his people do finally speak about the economy, they tell us we're coming out of the recession.
So compassion to you.
Now we've all heard the question asked, and we've all asked the question to members of Congress.
Hey, are you gonna sign up?
Are you gonna sign up yourself and your family the same health care plan you're putting us into?
There is no way that's gonna happen, but wait until you hear.
You don't know the half of their health care plan and options and treat.
You don't know the half of it.
I'm gonna get to that at the top of the next hour.
What you need to know, and I'm sure you do, you just need to be reminded of this.
The same people pushing government health care are the same people who have driven the finances of this nation over the cliff.
From the Community Redevelopment Act, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, trillions in Red Inc.
for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security.
They have lied repeatedly about what they're doing and what they can do, and yet they promise yet again to cover everybody for everything at all times, while also insisting they're gonna cut costs, cut waste, and be more efficient when they've never ever done it in the history of the country.
It's never happened.
It's the height of folly, it's a triumph of emotion over common sense for people in this country to believe that something that has never happened can happen.
It's easier to believe it's something that has happened can't happen again than to believe it's something that's never happened can happen.
There's never been a major serious government program that cut costs that cost less than what they said it was going to cost.
That expanded freedom.
And in the final analysis, this actually worked.
It never ceases to amaze me.
That a nation founded on the notion of individual liberty, private property, limited government, is run by politicians now who reject it all.
That is, they reject the very principles upon which the nation was established.
That is Barack Obama and his administration.
That is Barney Frank, that is Harry Reid.
They're too cowardly to say so openly.
They're too cowardly to say, you know what?
The Constitution is bad.
It sucks.
The federal government needs more power.
The private sector should exist for the sole purpose of funding government.
That's what they believe.
They don't have the guts to say it.
You ought to be happy, they believe that there are a handful of them smart enough to manage your lives so that you don't keep screwing things up.
This is what the left really thinks.
This is what the left really believes, but they're too cowardly to just say it.
They're too power hungry to risk having their political asses handed to them, which they would if they were ever open and honest about their plans.
They would have their political asses handed to them, and it would be the end of the Democrat Party.
Let me say what needs to be said, whatever the consequences.
The consequences have never stopped me before.
Obama, Pelosi, Reed, Schumer, Frank, the rest of them do not like this country as constituted.
They do not like the Constitution.
They do not like the private Sector.
They do not like individual rights.
Their every action and policy is aimed at diminishing all of that.
They hate the military, of course.
But I'm talking about fundamental principles of liberty, property, limited government.
They reject it completely.
It's right in front of our eyes to see it.
We just have the have the courage to admit it.
They are killing the private sector right in front of our eyes.
They know it.
They're breaking the states.
They're all in debt.
They know it.
Smothering individual initiative and opportunity, and they know it.
It's about our freedom, folks, not health care.
Speaking of becoming slaves to the government, you heard about this in Michigan.
Michigan has told a Michigan mother she's running an illegal daycare center by watching her neighbor's kids for an hour before school.
