Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Snurdley, what are you doing here?
I I got a reverb.
VIX minus.
This is going to be tough.
I'm hearing myself say things.
There we go.
All right.
Cool.
Let's go back to LA.
Everything worked out there.
Snurdley, what are you doing here?
I either I thought I thought you either quit or I fired you.
I don't remember which.
Oh, is that right?
Mo Thacker.
Mo Thacker.
We have we have to deal with our own union thug here.
Mo Thacker of the United Screeners Association of America, USAA, advised you to come in.
And okay.
Well, have you lodged an official uh pro yes?
It's lodged an official protest.
Well, nice of you to not tell me before the program starts.
Great to have you with us here, folks.
They're back at our EIV Southern Command in uh truly sunny South Florida.
Telephone number if you want to be on the program is 800 282-2882, the email address L Rushbow at EIB net.com.
President Obama has arrived at Marxist Vineyard, has told the press, no coverage.
We don't just leave us alone.
Just leave us.
We don't want any coverage here.
Just leave us alone.
And I feel like waiting for the next headline on Drudge to be people to president.
Leave us alone.
Stay keep your hands off our health care.
Keep your hands off our social security.
Keep your hands off everything.
Just stay there.
Stay up there in Marxist Vineyard with your buddy Skimp Gates.
Go play a couple rounds of golf.
I, in fact, I have a very good friend.
I should I wonder if I should say this.
One of my really good friends owns the golf course on Martha's Vineyard.
Now there are two golf courses up there, but the golf course on Marxist Vineyard is owned by a friend of mine, and I'm I'm told that arrangements have been made that uh Obama and his merry band of golfers is going to show up there a couple three times this week.
I was uh in fact, you know, this this this folks, I'm gonna show you my devotion to you.
Last week I got a friend of mine tell me a note.
I when I was in California, I guess it was Thursday or Friday, I got a note from a friend saying Bill O'Reilly has written a column.
I don't know where O'Reilly's column was published, but in the column, it said that it was a good thing that Obama was going to Marxist Vineyard because there he could get away from Rush Limbaugh.
So my friend says, you know what, we ought to go up there and play golf on Wednesday.
You ought to come up here to Connecticut, pick me up, we fly over there, we play golf and have lunch on Wednesday.
I mean the word will surely get out.
And I say, I can't take the day off.
I just I would love to do it.
But I just I can't, I can't take the well, I got a client meeting here on Wednesday afternoon.
I'm doing uh I'm doing Glenn Beck's show uh Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock on the phone.
I just I just you know I I couldn't get away.
I would have been a hoot.
It would have been so much fun to bop up there and play golf.
You know, after O'Reilly says uh get away from Rush Limbaugh and air, I bop into Marxist Vineyard.
And of course, you know, I've got chaff uh uh dispensers on EIB.
Well, in case they get fired on Dawn Chaff, you this what it's what the the planes release this chaff and it's supposed to attract the uh the surface to air missiles away from the uh from the airplane and and when I I got it on there because I've flown into Marxist Vineyard a number of times.
If you find out I'm coming uh in advance, I have to take um you have to take defensive measures out there.
Here's the phone number, folks.
800-282-2882.
If you want to be on the program, the email address Lrushbaugh at EIB Net.com.
I'm not kidding.
The Obama White House has said, please leave us alone this week.
We don't want to be covered, leave the kids alone.
Uh we we uh we want our privacy and so forth.
And uh how how here's a here's a guy who's been on television 24-7 every day since he was immaculated, and now all of a sudden turn it off.
And there's an interesting I think this is a companion story.
Obama's spokesman announces interrogation unit.
President Obama has approved creation of a new special terrorism era interrogation unit to be supervised by the White House, a top aid said today.
And this story, by the way, hit over the weekend as well.
This is uh designed to push further uh his distance from the Bush administration detainee policies.
The new unit does not mean the CIA is out of the interrogation business.
Uh Bill Burton said.
It said the new unit will include all these different elements under one group.
Oh, let me tell you all this is.
And now that it's ABC has posted a story uh just before the program started.
Obama White House VCIA Panetta threatened to quit.
Tensions led to CIA directors screaming match at the White House.
Uh this was over uh Panetta trying to protect the agency from actions taken by the by the White.
Let me tell you all this.
All this is, and I'll tell you what it means.
I really think this means that the public option in health care is dead.
If it's not dead, it is dying.
It is close.
If you go to the Sunday shows yesterday and listen to Schumer talk about how they've been over forwards, they've been over backwards to accommodate the Republicans, but that they're going to have to go reconciliation.
Everybody knows it's not playing, Chuck U. Everybody knows the Democrats can do this by themselves.
You can blame the Republicans all you want, but it isn't going to fly.
The Republicans don't have the votes to stop this.
This is all about the blue dog Democrats in the House of Representatives.
And if you can't get 60 votes in the Senate, you can't blame that on the Republicans because you have 60 Democrat senators.
And if you can't get them all unified on this, you can't blame the Republicans for it.
There's nothing they can do to stop it.
In terms of there's nothing I can do to stop it.
Nothing you can do.
Well, not in terms of power and votes and this sort of thing.
We can, I think we have done a lot to uh impede it.
But what this what this return to the CIA and interrogation is an illustration of how the tone deafness of this administration a it illustrates to me a mistaken belief on their part of why they won election in 2008.
What's happened is, remember I told you last week when I was in in um in Los Angeles, I spent a lot of time on these kook websites like the Democrat Underground, the Daily Coast, and these these lunatics are just livid over the failure of the public option.
They are livid that the White House floated a trial balloon via Kathleen Sibelius, a public option was not crucial.
They were livid that Obama didn't backed it up, and then of course they reversed the trialists.
Oh no, the public option we can't do go forward without it.
And a bunch of Democrats went out there, Pelosi and so forth said so.
But they they they're they're losing their base on this.
There is uh a story at Salon.com by Glenn Greenwald that uh it's all about how the uh the left is being blamed for the problems when it's really the moderates that are the problem.
They're really at each other's throats here.
They're blaming the moderates, the no, the moderates are the the correct blame, the far leftists are destroying this, but the far leftists don't like hitting the blame, so they're to they're hitting back and saying, no, no, no, no, it's the moderates, it's the media and so forth.
They're making us look like the bad guys.
But it is these far fringe lunatic kooks that make up the Obama n Obama net root base, are really up in arms.
This CIA stuff, this new interrogation, all it is, I'm telling you, trust me, don't doubt me.
All this is an attempt to get these people back in gear because they hate the whole idea of an imperial U.S. military more than they want the public option.
They want Al-Qaeda to be portrayed as the good guys.
They want the Taliban to be portrayed as the good guys.
They want the U.S. to be portrayed as the bad guys.
Now, Obama and his team think that their position on Bush, Iraq, Afghanistan is a large factor in their election victory in 2008.
They're mistaken about that, but that's what they believe.
And so they're changing the subject.
They're changing the subject from the debacle that health care has become.
They're changing the subject from the fact the public option is in big trouble, and they're trying to rally the base now with an old a golden oldie, something from the groove yard of forgotten favorites.
I mean, Afghanistan and Iraq are Obama's p problem now.
You but we're they're trying to go back once again and revive this notion that America was a torturing nation.
And that we're not gonna torture anymore.
And this is, I think this is an act of desperation.
It is an attempt to change the subject.
It's an attempt to get his base on uh back on his side again because they know, and I think this is true.
Uh it's frightening, but it is true.
The Democrat base, the far-left radical lunatric lunatic fringe base, cares more about this country being humiliated, militarily foreign policy-wise, than they care about the public option.
Obama's got to get them on it.
This CIA stuff.
I mean, pulling it out of a hat, bringing it.
What the hell's the deal here?
He's gonna close Gitmo anyway.
What are we talking about?
Interrogation techniques.
He's already told Holder, the attorney general, to process a new policy that interrogation will also feature Miranda rights, that when we capture these clowns in the battlefield, they've got to be read their Miranda rights.
They're going to be given access to the U.S. Constitution as criminals, not uh enemy combatants or uh prisoners of war.
So what the why bring this all back?
It's pure politics.
It's nothing but a golden oldie, and it shows how out of step they are.
This is all part and parcel of the campaign mode uh with uh with with Obama trying to get that base back because there's no you know, the the American people are not fired up about interrogations anymore.
The American the American people are not fired up about torture, and they never were to the extent that the Obama people believes they were.
They've misread this totally.
But anyway, having to pay attention to his lunatic fringe base is what is causing all of this new attention on Afghanistan and interrogation techniques.
Now, I gotta uh take a quick time out here.
By the way, the ditto cam is back, and I'm I'm sure many of you are filled with uh immeasurable joy over the fact that the ditto cam is back at Rushlimbaugh.com.
Lots to do today.
It's an exciting and active Monday.
We'll get to all the rest of it right after this.
No, no, no, folks, I'm serious.
I checked the email during the break.
You gotta believe me on this.
Obama's fruitcakes on the left care much less about health care than making the United States the villain in the world.
The United States is the world's villain, has been a rallying cry for the radical left in this country as long as I've been alive.
And the whole point here is to give them uh like an aphrodisiac.
Go ahead now.
Make the make the U.S. the villain in the world again, and that'll get his uh loony left to calm down and accept a watered down version of health care.
I really do think that uh that that is what's going on here.
And you seasoned citizens out there, in addition to the fact that the Obama administration has plans for you called cash for caskets.
Get this millions of older people face shrinking social security checks next year.
The uh trustees who oversee Social Security are projecting there won't be a cost of living adjustment for the next two years.
That hasn't happened since automatic increases were adopted in 1975.
Cost of living adjustments are pegged to inflation, which has been negative this year, largely because energy prices are below 2008 levels.
Now, this could also be a ploy designed to get seasoned citizens on board for health care, uh, the kind of whatever health care the Obama administration wants, but it isn't going to work.
This is just gonna add up to more negatives for Obama.
A seasoned citizen population is well aware of Obama's cash for caskets program with them in the caskets.
In fact, ladies and gentlemen, we told you about the VA death book last week.
The Obama administration, ladies and gentlemen, has decided they need to counter the bad publicity.
So the news that senior citizens' social security checks will not have a colour cost of living increase uh for the next two years.
More bad news for Obama.
This none of this was supposed to happen.
We were the economy was supposed to be roaring by now, jobs created at a furious pace, the sea levels were uh should have uh begun to fall by now.
None of what he said was going to happen.
Now he's on vacation at Marxist Vineyard and is telling the press, leave us alone.
We don't want any part of your coverage.
I wonder, thinking about something last night.
Can Obama tell us when and where he supports free enterprise?
I mean, he supports government at all times, and it rarely works.
You know, this is a fascinating question.
If you listen to any of Obama's policies, if you look at them from the stimulus to the bailouts to uh health care, where does he support free enterprise?
Where does he support freedom?
Where does he support ingenuity in the private sector and creativity and entrepreneurism?
He doesn't.
But his people are out there now with a with an Alinsky rule using capitalist lingo to sell health care.
Competition, incentives.
He's speaking within the area of most people's experience, which is capitalism, but he's lying through his teeth about it.
Let's look at all the other problems.
We had a problem in health care, we're going to nationalize it.
One sixth of the economy.
Well, there are homeless people.
Should we nationalize homelessness?
In fact, there's an amazing story on all the homeless people that live one block from the White House.
I can't believe this story got published with a Democrat president.
All this is coming up, by the way.
The housing industry is an absolute mess.
Should we nationalize builders?
Should we nationalize realtors?
There are hungry people.
Should we nationalize the farms and the agriculture business?
I mean, we've got a health care problem, he says we're nationalized it.
Why not nationalize everything?
If Medicare and Medicaid are not public options, what the hell are they?
And they're broke to the tune of trillions of dollars.
What we need is not a public option.
We don't need a series of public options.
We need more private options, more private sector options.
And look where he goes on vacation.
He goes to Marxist Vineyard, one of the richest, whitest places in America.
He sends his kids to private schools.
He insists on the best medical treatment money can buy for his own family.
He uses an enormous amount of energy.
He has not cut his own trouble travel.
And guess who's paying for this?
This is the folks, this is the thing that just irritates me all to hell.
Barack Obama, as president of the United States, lives in public housing.
He travels on public airplanes.
He eats on public food.
Barack Obama has the lifestyle of one of the wealthiest persons in the world, and he's living off the hard work of the private sector.
While out there ripping the private sector to shreds.
He has the best food.
He's got the nicest clothes, and it's all paid for by who?
It's paid for the American taxpayer.
Without the American taxpayer, without the American private sector, without free enterprise.
There is no money in Washington other than that which they would print.
So it's the private sector that has created all of this wealth, the trappings of which Barack Obama is able to live on.
And he's out there ripping the very people who make his lifestyle pop uh popular and pop possible.
I mean, he could send his kids to public school.
He could insist on rationing the health care that his family receives.
Like he's insisting for everybody else.
He's insisting that minorities continue to go to public schools.
He's going to ration health care for everybody else.
If he didn't, if the White House is too big in extravagance, move across the street to the Blair House, that's the White House guest house, if he really believed in cutting back, he could curtail a lot of his travel, but he does none of it.
He would have nothing without the private sector and free enterprise.
That's what produces the wealth and money necessary for the president of the United States to live the lifestyle he does along with his family.
These people are just pure downright elitists up there at Marxist Vineyard.
Of all the places he could go, the richest places in the country with the whitest people in the country.
And Pelosi's no different.
You know, Nancy Pelosi and her husband could afford their own jet, and here she is trying to worm her way into more and more government jets.
Socialism sucks the life blood out of free enterprise in the private sector.
The very sector that produces everything Obama is living on.
Pelosi and her husband, they're worth tens of million dollars yet.
They want to play class warfare.
We got Obama living the good life.
He thinks nothing of flying a pizza chef to the White House or St. Louis or vacationing among the rich, largely non-integrated Marxist vineyard.
He thinks nothing of sending his kids to the best private school around.
Pelosi and her husband own a vineyard in Northern California.
They're worth a bundle.
I mean, I don't care about this, that's fine and dandy.
Except for the fact that they want to keep what they have and live as they do and deny that opportunity to the rest of everybody else, like the Russians ours.
They are smug, arrogant elitists.
I got to take a quick time out.
We'll be back.
We will continue after this.
Folks, we live in two parallel worlds here.
We live in the real world.
And then we live in the Obama-snorting world.
In the real world, we just learned on a document dump late Friday afternoon.
We just learned that the national debt will increase not by one or two billion dollars, not by ten or twenty billion, but by two thousand billion dollars.
Two trillion dollars.
That's how much we are going to be adding to the national debt via the deficit, annual budget deficit, two thousand billion dollars.
But in the Obama snorting world out there with the uh state-controlled media, we hear that Obama's fiscally responsible.
And we hear that he will cut deficits.
And he says it persuasively, elegantly, believably, it's it's uh it's it happens.
He speaks within the expertise of his audience's understanding.
Meanwhile, the debt is piling up at record rates, unseen in this nation ever.
And yet we hear that Obama is responsible, that he's fiscally responsible, that he's going to be cutting these deficits, and that's why we have to do health care.
That $2,000 billion more, $2 trillion, $2,000 billion more in debt.
That's before the additional 1,000 and 2,000 billion more that Obamacare will add to it.
The new debt figure was the biggest news of the year, and uh so far it's the least reported news of the year.
In the real world, Obama's health care plans collapsing under the weight of its own undeliverable promises.
In the Obama's snorting world, Obamacare's collapsing because of misinformation, because of the Republicans, because the Republicans are lying about it, because talk radio is lying about it.
But the truth is it's collapsing under the weight of its own undeliverable promises and the fact that people have lost trust in the President of the United States.
He tells us that doctors want to sever feet and other uh limbs for profit.
The doctors want to remove tonsils for profit.
He's doing everything to demonize the insurance agencies, the insurance companies, and so forth, at the same time saying he doesn't want to take over health insurance.
But he does want to tell insurers who they have to insure and what they have to cover, what they can charge and what they can earn in salary and profits, what states they can sell in, but he says he doesn't want to take over the health insurance business.
No, they don't want to take over health insurance.
The translation is they will still allow insurers to keep their company names on the policies, but that'll be about it.
We have a uh it's an amazing dichotomy, the world that we live in uh versus the world that the Obama state-controlled media tries to tell us we live in.
Audio sound by time.
You've got to hear this if you haven't already.
It was last Tuesday, Clark County, Washington, Representative Brian Baird, Democrat Washington, held a town hall meeting to talk about health care reform.
And during the QA, a citizen named David Hedrick said this.
I'm uh Marine Corps vet.
Thank you.
And like you, I didn't swear you know to defend my constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Now, I heard you say tonight about educating our children, indoctrinators, whatever you want to call it.
I didn't say indoctrinated our stay away from my kids.
I also heard you say that you're gonna let us keep our health insurance.
Well, thank you.
It's not your right to decide whether or not I keep my current plan or not.
Now, we added this cheers and the applause went on forever.
We have edited this down just for the uh for the sake of brevity.
But this Marine David Hedrick spoke for the American people when he was talking to Democrat Brian Baird.
Here's more.
I've heard recently in the media, you and some other people on the national political stage call us brown shirts because we oppose that.
No, I didn't.
What I thought was I've apologized for it.
Okay, well, thanks for apologizing, but let I won't speak to you, then I'll speak to others.
But I'll remind you a little history lesson.
The Nazis were the national socialist party.
They were leftists.
They were they took over the finance.
They took over the car industry, they took over health care in that country.
Nancy Pelosi wants to find a spots of maybe the first place she should look is the sleeve of her own arm.
Now, what I want to know is you've done a lot of things that violate your constitutional oath, as you know.
what I want to know is as a Marine, as a disabled veteran that served this country, I have kept my oath.
Do you ever intend to keep yours?
This is just fabulous.
Here is here is this Marine David Hedrick, a marine vet just taking it to another Democrat about the health care plan.
But this was this is also about philosophy.
It's not your right to decide whether or not I keep my current plan or not.
That's my decision.
Stay away from my kids.
I also heard you say you're going to let us keep our health insurance.
Thank you.
Who the hell are you to let us?
This is exactly right, and this is happening all over the country, and it's not dying down.
It is not dying down, and this was not supposed to happen.
But folks, let me tell you something.
The Democrats, they're not affected by this, except as to s as as to say, well, okay, how do we get around this?
The American people don't want this, so how do we get it past them?
How do we ram this down their throats without them knowing what's happening?
So hence the discussion of health care co-ops and so forth and so on.
But I tell you, I I I heard this, I was beaming with pride when I heard this.
I said it to Cookie on Friday, I said, you've got to have this ready for me on Monday because it's just it's it's just amazing.
I I um you know, we all had doubts.
We were all asking the question throughout the campaign, and even the first uh three to four months of the Obama presidency.
We're asking key question is our country really gone.
Does the country really want what this guy's offering?
Have we become a nation where over 50 percent of the people want to sit around and do nothing and feed off the others?
Do we do we have a country that basically believes the government can and should be the ultimate provider?
And whatever we get is hunky-dory and fine, and we should be grateful.
I can remember you people calling and ask me this question.
I can recall asking it myself rhetorically via the golden EIB microphone.
And I think with the Tea Parties and now with the health care reform we're seeing that this is largely is like I told you two weeks ago, this is a country that's conservative to the core in terms of its principles and beliefs.
This is not a radical leftist country.
This the people of this country did not elect knowingly or purposely a radical left administration, nor a radical left party in order to totally remake their country.
But I'll tell this health care is just one arm of it.
The Obama administration is trying, Obama himself, is doing everything he can to take over this country in any number of ways.
And so you uh you hope you don't get distracted by by looking at the main thing they're focusing on.
They're trying to change the subject now off of health care back to CIA interrogations because he's losing his base, so he wants to get that back.
Uh but I mean it's this is uh it's heartwarming, but it's a it's a it's it's a call to political arms because it's not gonna go away.
These people are who they are, and they're gonna keep trying for this.
My whole life they've been trying for this kind of stuff.
Uh it is the way of the world.
They're gonna have to be opposed constantly.
The 2010-2012 elections are crucial here.
Charlie Cook last week saying, Democrats in total disarray, he can see them losing 20 seats in the House of Representatives.
Harry Reid is in big trouble, and I've got a great story here.
There's a quote from a Harry Reed aide in this story.
Well, this is the kind of when you have to carry the agenda for the president, this is the kind of trouble you get into.
I can't re I can't believe they reported this.
But Reed is in big trouble in Arizona, particularly if he is see a Nevada, particularly if he is seen as spearheading this health care thing.
If he is seen as spearheading it, the people in Nevada don't want it.
Have you seen the Las Vegas unemployment numbers?
They are shooting up, skyrocketing up.
None of this was supposed to happen.
And you have a president totally detached from it now on this rich guy vacation.
I they they they tried to ban cameras and microphones from the airport at Marxist Vineyard.
But of course, some people got in there with their cell phones, and there's Air Force One, there's all the Marine helicopters, the trappings of luxury.
I mean, it was lifestyles of the rich and famous.
The only thing missing was Robin Leach on the tarmac to greet Obama when he got off the plane.
While everybody else is saying their job goes south, no raises.
Uh it's It's uh, you know, I I the tone deafness here is amazing.
But you know, folks, it's really it's it's a mistake to say it's tone deafness.
It's not tone deafness.
He just doesn't care.
They don't care what you think, they don't care what you want.
They're gonna ram it down your throat anyway because it's all about him.
It's all about what he wants.
Here's another question for Obama, and another question for those of us across the country.
Where is the specific constitutional language authorizing the president and Congress to dictate, dictate, yes, dictate our medical and health care decisions?
Where is the language?
And is there any founding father who would have imagined such a power exercised by the government they were established in?
Of course not.
There's not one founding father that would not be rolling over in his grave.
This is how far the nation is moved from its founding that we have a president actively in opposition to the Constitution, and very few people are even alarmed about it.
Well, that's not true to say anymore.
Gazillions of Americans now alarmed about it.
And they are speaking up.
Don't stop.
Back after this.
Here's that story again from the AP.
This was uh it was posted yesterday.
Midians face shrinking social security payments.
Millions of older people, seasoned citizens, face uh shrinking social security checks next year.
The first time in a generation payments would not rise.
Isn't this a cut?
Shouldn't the shouldn't the correct language in the state control media be social security recipients face cut in benefits the next two years?
Rationed benefits, cuts in social security.
Now, for you senior citizens out there, I am not making this up.
If this were happening with the Bush administration, the word cut would be all over the headline, and in the story, your social security is being cut because you're not getting a cost of living adjustment for the next two years.
By the way, leave our penises alone too.
This is getting out of hand.
There is a story.
The Obama administration, well, some officials in the Obama administration are pushing for circumcision for all boys born in the USA to fight HIV AIDS.
Not that I'm against circumcision, but it's a family's decision.
Leave our penises alone too, Obama.
You know who's going to be really upset by this news?
No circ.
The National Organization for Circumcision Information Resource Centers.
They're a San Francisco group, and they want to stamp out circumcision.
Well they they want to eliminate circumcision.
Here's Obama out there saying we gotta have circumcision of every young boyboy in the country.
Oh, this is not going to please the uh the no circ people at all.
Social security cuts the next two years.
You know, I really uh I want to play the sound bites here of the uh of the Marine vet whose name is David Hedrick.
And a lot of you have written, why did you cut the applause?
The applause that we cut it for time.
We we cut it for time.
Part of me is intrigued, want to hear all the applause.
When the drive-bys cover this, all they do is cover the applause, trying to show angry people.
You think this guy will show up on any cable network other than Fox as a guest?
Here again, the two bites.
This is in Clark County, Washington for Democrat Brian Baird town meeting last Tuesday, David Hedrick, an American citizen.
I'm uh Marine Corps vet.
Thank you.
And like you, I did swear a note to defend my constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Now, I heard you say tonight about educating our children, indoctrinating our children, whatever you want to call it.
Well, I just say indoctrinated stay away from my kids.
I also heard you saying that you're gonna let us keep our health insurance.
Well, thank you.
It's not your right to decide whether or not I keep my current plane or nothing.
Crowd was going nuts.
It went on and on and on and on and on.
I've heard recently in the media, you and some other people on the national political stage call us brown shirts because we oppose that.
No, I did not.
What I said was I've apologized for it.
Okay, well, thank thanks for apologizing, but let I won't speak to you, then I'll speak to others.
But I'll remind you a little history lesson.
The Nazis were the national socialist party.
They weren't leftists.
They were took over the finance.
They took over the car industry.
They took over health care in that country.
Nancy Pelosi needs to find the swats about maybe the first place she should look is the sleeve of her own arm.
Now, what I want to know is you've done a lot of things that violate your constitutional load, as you know.
What I want to know is, as a Marine, as a disabled veteran that served this country, I have kept my oath.
Do you ever intend to keep yours?
That's David Hedrick, a marine vet in Clark County, Washington for Representative Brian Baird at a town meeting last week.
It is uh it's exemplary.
It's also representative and illustrative of the uh attitude that has swept the country, which is why Obama's trying to uh uh change the subject.
The uh there's a story here by by Chris Steirwalt, who's the political editor at the WashingtonExaminer.com, and it uh follows this theme that there's a there's problem.
There's a trouble in paradise here between Obama and the state controlled media.
There really isn't, but but but there appears to be.
Obama's told the media, shut up, don't report on me now.
I'm up here at Marxist Vineyard with my buddy Skip Gates and some of the other rich white people I know.
Leave me alone.
Leave my kids alone, I won't have anything to do with you this week.
And of course, state controlled media is all hurt.
State controlled media wanted to be invited to all the parties.
They wanted to be invited to play golf.
They think they are part of the power elite.
So they're a bit out of shape about this.
Mr. Steyer Walt writes, there's nothing like a summer vacation to rekindle a romance, so maybe a week on Marxist Vineyard can uh bring back some of the magic between Obama and the state controlled media.
Before White House Press Secretary Baghdad Bob Gibbs left town, he tried to clarify Obama's comment that everybody in Washington gets all weeweed up, and then he blew it by saying, Yeah, well, it's a bunch of bedwetters in Washington in August.
Gibbs has grown more sardonic and patronizing as the summer wears on and Obama's poll numbers wilt.
Gibbs is so crabby because incredibly the administration blames the media for the president's problems.
It tried blaming Republicans, but the GOP's too far out of power and too invisible.
Nobody ever sees a Republican on TV.
How can you blame them?
All you ever see is Chuck Yu Schumer and Dick Durbin and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
How can you blame the Republicans?
I mean, they're they're uh actually, I think as a species, they may be on the on the endangered list.
In terms of media coverage, when the leader of the free world is complaining about a posting on the former governor of Alaska's Facebook page has got problems.
This is Sarah Palin and her comment about death panels.
Reporters who traveled with the Obama campaign tell horror stories about the organization, the dishonesty, the rudeness, and the abysmal access, but those reporters still served up the glowing coverage.
Didn't we see or read something like this during the Clinton years?
I don't remember specifically when, but we heard that the media said, Oh, yeah, these people dishonest, they're rude, they're abysmal, they're arrogant, but we still love them.
We're hearing the same thing now from the state-controlled media about uh about Obama.
So not only are Obama and his people still reliving the campaign, they're drawing the wrong lessons from it, hence the CIA story they're trying to distract with today.
We'll be back.
Stay tight.
I'll tell you what else, folks.
Our beloved president is uh a laughing stock around the world.
And if you don't like that, I'll say he's ineffective.
I mean, he tells, he warns Qaddafi not to treat the Lockerbie terrorist like a hero, and Gaddafi does just the opposite.
I mean, they're laughing at us around the world or laughing at Obama.
