Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
All right, folks, here's the way I see it.
And as you know, I see things very clear.
Oh, and by the way, as everybody's concerned, I'm sure that you can hear that my voice sounds normal and energetic and not tired because I got four full hours sleep last night.
So we're back.
We're back to normal here.
Here's how I see this.
I see things very straight.
I think it's very clear.
Obama's health care plan will be one written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, that'd be John Conyers.
His health care plan will be two, passed by Congress that has not read it.
Number three, signed by a president who smokes, four, funded by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, five, overseen by a surgeon general who's obese, and six financed by a country that's nearly broke.
What could possibly go wrong with this?
Greetings, my friends, and welcome.
It's Rush Limboard.
This is the the one and only EIB network coming to you live from Los Angeles today.
Uh, as we will be uh tomorrow as well.
Great to be with you.
Telephone numbers 800-282-2882 and the uh email address L Rushball at EIBNet.com.
This is getting comical.
Uh the number of U.S. workers filing new claims for jobless benefits unexpectedly rose last week.
A government report showed Thursday.
Fanning worries of an anemic recovery from the worst recession in 70.
This is incompetence.
It's becoming a joke.
Every economic report has the word unexpected in it.
Whether the numbers go up or whether the numbers go down, it's unexpected.
Who in the world could expect the numbers to get better?
What in the hell's happened out there to make the numbers better?
And I thought the recession was over.
I thought we were in the rescue phase.
I thought we're in the recovery phase.
But now the uh CNBC is reported, taxes as Reuters is reporting that uh worries are now being fanned of an anemic recovery from the worst recession in 70 years.
Analysts polled by uh Reuters had forecast new claims slipping to 550,000 last week from a previously reported 558, but the number is um 576,000.
It's up out there.
Now, a bipartisan conservative stimulus plan would have created jobs and sparked a robust recovery, but Obama chose to go it alone.
And this is a precursor for health care.
You know what he's doing for job growth.
He will inflict far more harm than good.
He'll do it without bipartisan support.
Just wait for the summer to end.
Seasonal jobs will expire, unemployment will unexpectedly jump again.
And then imagine if Cap and Trade passes the Senate and if Obama takes over health care.
You know, what what business out there is going to hire anybody with these pending disasters on the horizon, which leads me to, you know, another conclusion.
I'm getting so many people upset over what Waxman and some of these guys doing the letters they sent to 52 insurance execs that we talked about yesterday.
Clearly, this is like the East German police.
This is like the KGB.
This is pure intimidation and threat.
And the insurance agency fears that this is happening because of reprisals for not going along with the plan.
And the fact of the matter is that Obama does have a lot of big business support on this.
People misunderstand, and they have for a long time.
Big business is always been assumed to be pro-Republican, pro-conservative, small government, but that's not at all the case.
Big business hazes its bets.
Big business loves to get involved with big government.
They love to have the administration in Congress on their side, paving the way for them.
It is small business that is uh for the most part instinctively conservative.
It is small business that is uh oriented toward lesser government.
Just get out of my way, leave me alone.
But big business, uh, you know, these guys are going after the insurance industry, and in large part the insurance industry is uh has been on board with uh with big government.
Oh, here's this.
The uh the government says that life expectancy in the United States has risen to a new high.
Unexpectedly so it stands at seventy-eight years.
How can this possibly be with our horrible health care system?
I ax you.
How can our life expectancy be up seventy-eight years unexpectedly so?
The unexpected increase is due mainly to falling death rates.
Well, duh.
I mean, if we Of course, if the life expectancy is going up, people are not dying as soon as they did.
The unexpected increase uh due mainly to falling death rates in almost all the leading causes of death.
Government officials now calling on U.S. businesses to help manage swine flu this fall by getting vaccines to vulnerable workers and encouraging employees with symptoms to stay home.
The Commerce Secretary Gary Locke.
Lockheed Loki, I don't know how he pronounces it, uh, says employers should develop plans for managing both seasonal and swine flu.
But get this.
The uh this guy's not long for the world, the uh commerce secretary, talking about swine flu vaccination.
Government can't do this on its own.
We need businesses to do their part.
The government can't do this on its own.
The government can't do anything on its own, but it's gonna do health care on its own.
It's amazing.
And the um numbers of poor and uninsured Americans are likely rising, and they may not be.
If you don't put the word likely in there, it may mean that they're not rising.
I mean, if if it was definite that the numbers of poor and uninsured were rising, they wouldn't put the word likely in there, but they put the word likely in there, which means it could be not rising.
More than 38.8 million people believed to be in poverty.
Rebecca Blank, Commerce Department's undersecretary economic affairs spoke to the AP controlled media in advance of next month's release at a closely watched census data.
The number of people who lack health insurance also expected to increase from the uh estimate uh of roughly 46 million, a current estimate.
Uh she cited the souring economy in 2008 as the reason for the increases.
Uh numbers of poor and uninsured are likely rising.
I thought recession was over.
The economy was in recovery and ticking back.
Oh, we just get so much disinformation out.
And ladies and gentlemen, President Obama in the recording studio, one of his last major efforts on health care prior to stealing away to Martha's Vineyard for a vacation.
And that's white comedian Paul Shanklin as President Obama and American Lie.
Of course, that's a takeoff of parody on Don McLean's American pie.
You know, people have forgotten this, but I haven't, and that's why I'm host, and that's why you listen.
You remember the uh the Uyghur the the Chinese uh uh Muslim terrorist group, the Uyghurs that were released, and they were sent to Bermuda, and the next pictures we saw were them frolicking in the ocean on a beach.
Do you remember why Bermuda agreed to take the Uyghurs?
Bermuda agreed to take the Uyghurs because Obama promised to lay off attacking insurance companies.
Insurance companies are huge.
It's big insurance in uh in Bermuda.
It's their primary business because big insurance is there for tax shelters.
And so now they've got the Uyghurs, they've got these terrorists out there working on the beach or doing whatever, been released in exchange for no attacks on big insurance, and we see how that played out.
We have a fun afternoon schedule here in uh in Los Angeles uh post show today.
I'm heading over to another super secret residential location to uh appear on William Shatner's show.
He's got a I I I forget the name of the show.
It's on uh Arts and Entertainment.
What?
What is it?
Might be raw.
I don't know what.
Anyway, it's it's I've I've I've admired Bill Shatner.
I can't tell you how I'm not a trekky Star Treky, but but uh, you know, Bill Shatner's character Denny Crane on Boston Legal was just uh over the top.
Priceline commercials raw nerve is the name of the show, okay.
And what he does, he talks to everybody, all of his guests about everything except their area of expertise, which in my case leaves nothing to discuss.
I'm an expert in everything.
So it's it's it's uh it's gonna be a probably five-minute show.
So no, we're going over there this afternoon to do that.
Uh and finally this happened later this afternoon, get some time off.
Uh golf course is closed today for A tournament, so can't go play golf.
So uh anyway, and by the way, I I'm getting, folks, I'm getting uh some grief over my uh comments on Barney Frank yesterday.
As you know, well, you may not know if you weren't here.
Barney Frank got a question from a Lyndon LaRouche Democrat woman at a town hall meeting, and she was holding up a poster of Obama with uh with an Adolf Hitler mustache.
And Barney went off into a tirade saying he didn't know what planet that she lived on, and I said, Well, can understand now, you know, Barney freely cavorts around Uranus, um speaking of planets.
Well, they didn't like it.
I know it's a great line.
They didn't like it at the Huffpo and a bunch of other people.
Look, you gotta understand here, folks.
Even though, even I mean, I did yesterday's show on fumes.
I basically I pulled an all-nighter the night before yesterday's show.
I was tired.
I had jet lagged that flew out here from the uh from the right coast again here to the left coast.
And I mean, that's what that's what Hillary always says when she makes a gaff.
Oh, well, I'm just very tired, and I feel fat, she said.
Uh well, Tina Brown said she feels fat.
I don't feel fat because I'm not fat anymore, but anyway, um, and who other who has this Secretary of uh uh the president himself has even said, Well, I was tired when I made that comment.
But I really can't use an excuses because I meant to say it.
Because it was a great and funny line.
I think we're gonna have to stand by audio soundbite number five.
I think we're gonna have to amend the U.S. Constitution.
Um the Constitution doesn't actually say there's a separation of church and state, but it's been now assumed that it does.
But we may actually need to amend the Constitution to establish a separation of God and President Obama.
There's been a lot of misinformation in this debate.
And there are some folks out there who are frankly bearing false witness.
These are all fabrications that have been put out there in order to discourage people from meeting what I consider to be a core ethical and moral obligation, and that is that we look out for one another.
That I am my brother's keeper and my my sister's keeper, and in the wealthiest nation on earth right now, uh we are neglecting uh to live up to that call.
Bearing false witness, that's I I am convinced this guy heard every word, Reverend Wright said.
Bearing false witness, folks out there bearing false witness, lying about his plan.
And here comes this business, I am my brother's keeper.
You know, I uh I have always thought that this I am my brother's keeper business has been misunderstood.
Uh the because the question was, am I my brother's keeper?
And it's like, what am I supposed to- who am I?
What am I supposed to is this my job?
I thought that's how the question was asked in the biblical sense.
And Obama, brother's keeper, my God, his brother still lives in a hut.
His half-brother, George Hussein on Yango Obongo, Obama, whatever, lives in a six by nine foot square hut dirt floor.
And here's Obama out talking about I am my brother's keeper.
We all are brothers and sisters keep it.
He it's a line he used uh frequently during the uh during the campaign.
And then something that I think ought to be banner headlined all over the place.
He said we he was talking to some rabbis.
He said, we are God's partners in matters of life and death.
I mean, that's audacious, even for a guy who's written two autobiographies by age 48 after having not much more than a five-minute career.
We are God's partners in matters of life and death.
Now he's gonna validate abortion.
We are God's partners in matters of life and death.
This is exactly what we feared, my friends.
The government's gonna impose itself in every aspect of our lives, including matters of life and death, and we're gonna do it on the basis that Obama is God's partner.
That's why we need separation of God and Obama written into the Constitution.
Is there any doubt that Obamacare will sooner or later fund abortions?
There is no doubt.
Is there any doubt that Obamacare sooner or later will have death panels, whatever you call them?
There's gonna be a panel that's gonna decide who gets health care and who doesn't.
And how much is gonna be spent?
So here we have Barack Obama has just made his case in the debate on how he intends to handle health care in the U.S. if we give him the chance, he's got to play God.
He's going to be God's partner.
He does this messianic complex may not be a joke.
I don't think.
I mean, you know, in God we trust.
Now Obama wants in on the action, but the problem is we don't trust him.
Ten simple words crystallized many people's fears.
Ten simple words validate many people's fears.
Ten simple words have removed any thought of trusting this small mortal man who carries with him a big God complex.
We are God's partners in matters of life and death.
Well, Obama, yesterday in Washington at conference call with the National Council of Churches.
He tried to refute four laws that people are telling about his uh his health care plan.
And so what we did, we went together, we we we found audio to prove that every one of these lies is true.
Now I don't have time to get started with the audio right now, but uh one of the things that uh he says uh is uh put this out of order.
Well, rather than try to summarize this, I'm just gonna wait till we have time in the next segment to uh to actually play these things.
But he does lament all of these ludicrous lies, the divisive, deceptive attacks on his plan.
Uh, and uh we are brothers' keeper and so forth.
And the first the first uh the first lie he tackles is death panels.
Now, whether elderly people get to live or die, he said that is just an extraordinary lie.
And uh it's not just the elderly and whether they live or die, it is anybody who's sick, seriously sick, regardless of age.
There can be no other way around this.
This is why this man is detached.
He's not even responding to the truthful criticisms in a persuasive way.
He's sticking with his line on this from four or five months ago.
Back in just a sec here.
Yeah, I think it's safe to say that uh there were some people out there that misconscrewed my uh Barney Frank comment uh prowling around Uranus.
People misconscrew what I say uh uh frequently, folks.
Greetings and welcome back.
This is the cash for clunkers.
Here goes another botched program.
This is from the politico transportation secretary Ray Lahood promised car dealers will be paid the money the federal government owes them through the Cash for Clunkers program.
He said that the department will announce in coming days how much money is left and when the program will likely come to an end.
I don't know how much money's left.
I know the dealers are frustrated out there, but uh they're gonna get their money, Lahood said at an event in Washington, highlighting drunk driving.
Lahood did not rule in or out the possibility of another round of money for the popular program.
She says, We got our we got our hands full right now, handling the money we have.
And Lahood get this, acknowledge that because of the unexpected popularity of the program, the transportation department did not have enough people in place to really process the paperwork.
If they didn't understand the popularity of the Cash for Clunkers program, if that led to difficulties, imagine when health care is said to be free, what kind of what kind of uh uh problem they're gonna have.
The unexpected popularity of the free health care plan.
These people are the Keystone cops.
From the uh Los Angeles Times today, the government will announce a plan as soon as today for winding down the popular but problem-plagued Clash for Clunkers or Cash for Clunkers program.
The announcement by the Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood came as a New York dealership group, said that hundreds of its members had stopped doing clunker transactions.
What appropriate name for a government program anyway, the clunker program.
Uh hundreds of its members have stopped doing clunker transactions because of delays and getting reimbursed by the federal government.
Lahood said, I know they're frustrated, but they're gonna get paid.
Let's play a game.
Let's imagine that the Cash for Clunkers program is government run health care.
And let's go through this story and let's replace the word dealers with cancer victims and the word paid with treated.
Shall we try this?
The government will announce a plan as soon as today for winding down its popular but problem plagued cash for clunkers program.
The announced by Treasury or Transportation Secretary Ray LaHud came as a New York dealership group said that hundreds of its members uh oh, I'm sorry, um uh the New York uh uh cancer group uh said that uh hundreds of its cancer victims had stopped doing transactions with the government because of delays in getting reimbursed or treated.
New York dealership group said that hundreds of uh New York Cancer Victims Group said that hundreds of its members have stopped doing transactions because of delays in getting treated by the federal government.
And a government official says, I know these cancer victims are frustrated, but they are going to get treated.
That is the way to properly analyze the uh the program.
As a result of the uh the auto dealers being truthful about Obama's incompetence here, and they're not being reimbursed and now that their lack of trust has been made.
No, I mean this is what's happening.
When these dealers opt out of it, they're saying we don't trust the government, we don't trust Obama's government to handle all this.
Look for more dealer closings and an inquisition by uh by Congress.
Now, by the way, let's not forget this.
A few months ago, Barack Obama made this promise to the American people about their warranties with car companies that he owns and operates.
Uh car company he owned.
Well, it's true.
That's why I'm laughing.
It's ridiculous, but it's true.
Here's what he said.
If you buy a car from Chrysler General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired just like always.
Your warranty will be safe.
In fact, it'll be safer than it's ever been because starting today, the U.S. government will stand behind your warranty.
Right.
The government's not even standing behind your purchase.
The dealers are opting out because they can't give you and then who's gonna reimburse the dealers for warranty work?
Obama.
And Ray Lahood, and these people are still out saying they're the only people that can handle delicate health care plans.
A quick phone call, Watertown, Connecticut.
Mike, I'm glad you called.
You're up first today.
Nice to have you on the program.
Uh, it's great to speak to you.
It's an honor.
And if I can say something, the first four points, uh, I believe it was four points you made when you you first came on the air today were excellent.
Uh second thing I want to say, right side, left side, upside down, sideways.
It doesn't matter what side you're from.
What matters is what you say, the truthfulness behind it and the consistency and rush.
You're consistent, you're truthful, and you're getting out there and telling people what's going on.
Another thing, our American uh the government and Obama and his administration would like nothing more than to see the American people implone on each other at town hall meetings and calling us mobs and riots and sending in union worker thugs to do their bidding.
They want nothing more for than us to dislike each other, to hate each other, to argue with each other, anything to fearmonger and cloud the truth.
You know, you are very you're very right.
They love the chaos and they love pitting groups of Americans against each other.
You're a very shrewd.
It says up here that you're 22 years old.
You are you are very shrewd.
Uh I I just I you know, I have a lot of friends, and there are I I want to say that the government underestimates uh the amount of information on out there for people.
You have to look, you have to find it, you have to read it, you have to find the truth.
And thank God I found this radio station, because there are things that you speak about that you would never hear about in mainstream news that you would never hear at the table.
And as far as death panels go, uh there's no better way to call Obama would call these things.
Uh what do you call it when uh uh third party is called in with the doctors and uh professors and they're going to be the ones making the decisions.
A third party corporate association is nothing more than a panel of people deciding who gets to live and who's gonna die, who will be cared for and who's gonna be screwed.
That's all there is to it.
Well, uh as at after 22 years of age, you're very shrewd out there, and it's uh it's this kind of stuff is heartening as uh uh people of your age uh either are not yet interested or they have been brainwashed into thinking something uh opposite.
So that's great.
I'm glad you called.
I appreciate that.
Let's get into some of these lies.
Let's get started.
We won't be able to, or Obama refuting the lies.
Uh, we won't be able to uh go through all of these, but but we'll get a good start here.
This was yesterday in Washington at the uh conference call, the National Council of Churches, and here's part of what he said in his opening remarks.
We are closer to achieving that reform than we have ever been.
And that's why we're seeing some of the divisive and deceptive attacks.
You've heard some of them, uh, ludicrous ideas, for example.
Let me just give you one example.
This notion that somehow we are setting up death panels uh that would decide on whether elderly people get to live or die.
That is just an extraordinary lie.
Look, it doesn't say death panels in there, but it there is he's going to set up a commission.
He wants to take over the control which currently resides in Congress of who did of deciding how much money is spent Medicare and Medicaid and on whom.
That already exists.
He wants to take it over from Congress, have it run out of the executive branch with a commission of people that he's already talked about setting uh setting up, making these decisions.
So it doesn't say death panels in there, but look at common sense is common sense.
You don't spend health care money on the on the healthy.
You don't spend any money on the healthy, you spend it on the sick, and they're gonna cut back.
They have to cut back.
He even says we got to get our health care costs down.
There's only one way to do that, and that's stop spending as much money on the sick.
And it's just a logical progression to figure out how do you get back money being spent on the sick.
But let's use his own words.
Let's go back to June 24th, the ABC primetime uh infomercial for Obama.
This is the woman who stood up, said, I got a 100 five-year-old grandmother when she was one or mother when she was 100, she needed a pacemaker, and a bunch of doctors said, nah, 100 uh too old, not gonna do that.
She finally found a doctor specialist that would do it because this specialist recognized in this 100-year-old woman a spunk, a uh spirit and a will to live.
So he put the health uh the uh pacemaker in, and this woman shows up and actually asks Obama, the President of the United States, are you going to allow for considerations being given to the desire to live, the spunk, the spirit of elderly people when it comes to medical procedures?
I don't think that we can make judgments based on people's spirit.
Uh that'd be uh a pretty subjective decision to be making.
I think we have to have rules that uh say that we are gonna provide good quality care for all people.
End of life care is one of the most difficult sets of decisions that we're gonna have to make.
But understand that those decisions are already being made in one way or another.
If they're not being made under Medicare and Medicaid, they're being made by private insurers.
At least we can let doctors know, and your mom know that you know what, maybe this isn't gonna help.
Maybe you're better off uh not having the surgery, but taking uh the painkilling.
Now, how are we supposed to interpret this?
Maybe you're better off not having the surgery.
Maybe we can let doctors know.
We can let doctors know.
Who?
His commission.
The death panel.
They sure as hell are not life panels.
The death panel.
What we're gonna commission is gonna at least we let doctors know your moms know, you know what?
Maybe this isn't gonna help.
Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, we say to the 100-year-old mother, grandmother.
Uh maybe uh just take the pain.
What the hell?
This is clear as a bell.
That's lie one that he claims is being lied about.
We just refuted it.
We got more coming up after this.
Now, this next attempt by Obama to say people are lying about his plan.
Uh, is this a little tricky here?
But I'm gonna make the point anyway.
Here's what Obama said on the conference call, the National Council of Churches.
We've heard that this is all designed to provide health insurance to illegal aliens.
That's not true.
Well, back on July 22nd in the White House, Obama said.
This is not just about the 47 million Americans who don't have any health insurance at all.
Reforms about every American who has ever feared that they may lose their coverage if they become too sick or lose their job or change their job.
All right, 47 million Americans.
And we're not gonna we're not gonna insure illegal aliens.
Two points.
We already do in several states.
Do you remember what was it?
Prop 186 out here in California, Brian was about all the uh health benefits and uh school coverage and all that that the illegals were getting, and the people said, No, but we're not paying for this anymore.
And a judge said you can't do it's unconstitutional.
We're already giving health care in some states, but here's the stickling point, the sticking point 47 million uninsured figure includes about 12 to 14 million illegal aliens.
If you take them out, the 47 million drops uh proportionately, and then there are young people who actively choose not to buy it.
It's not that they can't get it, they just don't want it.
So the number of truly uninsured people, we've run the numbers on this.
Uninsured people who want it but don't have it is 12 million.
And you could do that, you can insure 12 million people for one year for 30 billion dollars, and you can take it out of the unspent stimulus money.
It's not even about the it's not even about insuring the uninsured for this is just a smokescreen.
But if he's gonna band it a 47 million uninsured figure around, he's got somebody's got to tell him that that number includes illegal aliens, and that we already do.
Hell, we give them preferential treatment on uh on on college tuition admissions.
And they get health care in uh any number of places, especially at the uh at the uh the emergency room.
Here is another thing.
This really upsets Obama.
You've heard that this is all going to uh to mean government funding of abortion.
Not true.
We've heard uh uh stuttering on this one quite a bit.
Uh uh it's all gonna be in the government funding of abortion, not true.
Let's go back July 17th, 2007.
Obama spoke to Planned Parenthood during the QA.
The Planned Parenthood CEO Brian Howard had a question.
Now, remember, Planned Parenthood is in the abortion business.
And Planned Parenthood supports the Obama health care plan or the whatever the plan is in the House.
They support the overhaul.
So here's the question from Brian Howard to CEO of Planned Parenthood, which is in the abortion business.
You know that rights and access and rights and ability have to go hand in hand.
And we know that health care reform is an important part of your agenda.
Could you talk and give us some specifics about how reproductive health care and women's health care is gonna fit into and be part of primary care for women in your plan?
And how Planned Parenthood, as a safety net provider, that means the safety net is in case you get pregnant, you don't want to get pregnant.
The safety net, hey, we'll abort the kid for you.
Can you tell us how we are going to be a part of your safety net for women and families across the across the country?
In my mind, uh reproductive care is essential care.
It is basic care.
Uh and so it is at the center and at the heart of the plan that I've proposed.
Essentially, uh what we're doing is to say that uh we're gonna set up a public plan that all persons and all women can access if they don't have health insurance.
It'll be a plan that uh will provide all essential services, including uh reproductive services.
There you go.
We also will subsidize those who prefer to stay in the private insurance market, except the insurers are going to have to abide by the same rules in terms of providing comprehensive care, including reproductive care.
Sorry, Mr. President, uh, we're not lying.
I mean, not only is he saying that uh all persons and all women can access reproductive care.
Well, but what what what is We already cover every other form of reproductive care.
Prenatal, postnatal, we cover all that.
The only thing that can be talked about here is abortion.
Now, when planned parents involved, uh, we know that they're asking here about abortion and they're talking in code lingo.
So, Mr. President, it is not a lie that federal tax dollars are going to be used to pay for abortions and not just in the public option.
He says here that we will subsidize those who prefer to stay in the private insurance market, except the insurers are going to have to abide by the same rules.
They're gonna have to provide insurance for abortion as well.
He can tell us that we're lying, but he's the one who is.
And this is what I mean when I say he's detached.
He really is just not addressing the realities of this as the realities are being thrown up.
We got one more of these to go.
And he says, You've heard that this is a government takeover of health care.
That's not true.
Here's Cut 13, where he uh says, Oh, yeah, it is government.
My commitment is to make sure that we've got universal health care for all Americans by the end of my first term as president.
I don't think we're gonna be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately.
There's gonna be potentially some transition process.
I can envision a decade out or 15 years out or 20 years out.
So he's God's partner in life and death, but the problem is we can trust God.
We cannot trust Obama.
He is lying through his teeth about this.
You've heard the government take over health care, not true, but he wants single payer.
He wants it by the end of his first term and certainly in 15 or 20 years.
And look, folks, even if abortion and illegal coverage is not actually in the House bill, if it's not mentioned, the Supreme Court will see to it they get coverage.
Supreme Court's already ruled that illegal aliens have all citizen rights, and Obama knows this.
And we have noted before he always hid behind eventual SCOTUS rulings when voting for or against something like infanticide.
He always said the Supreme Court will strike it down.
He's doing the same thing here, but not admitting it.
