President Obama does not want you listening to this is last chance Friday, meaning it's the last chance.
In their hands, Arlen Specter and Olympia Snow hold the fate of the United States economy for the next generation.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
And when we go to the phones, the program content is all yours.
You can ask anything.
You can bring anything up for the most part.
The telephone number, if you want to join us in our final hour this week is 800-282-2882.
The email address, Lrushbow at EIBNet.com.
Play the soundbite.
Grab that last soundbite.
Grab soundbite number 12 from Obama again.
This is hilarious.
He's out in Peoria, Illinois yesterday, an appearance at Caterpillar.
You know the story.
The Caterpillar CEO contradicted everything Obama said about the CEO hiring people back if the stimulus bill passes.
And the uh Caterpillar Headquarters, Peoria, and quite a few memorable Republicans have come from Peoria.
Ray Lahood, who is a former member of Congress now in Obama's cabinet as the transportation secretary, and Bob Michael, the former Republican leader in the House, back when they had 120 seats, 130 seats, something like that, out of 435.
And, you know, I was watching yesterday in the Capitol Rotunda the ceremony honoring Abraham Lincoln, at which, uh, by the way, his history was once again besmirched and lied about.
But as the camera panned those in the audience, I saw Bob Michael sitting there.
And I said, What the what is Bob Michael doing there?
Bob Michael hadn't been in Congress.
I don't know how many years.
What the hell is Bob Michael doing there?
Now he may still live there doing, you know, lobby work.
I don't know, but what's what's he doing there?
What possible tie does Bob Michael have to Obama?
What what?
And then it hit me.
No wonder Bob Michael's there because I bet you he's going to be on Air Force One with Obama as he flew out to Peoria to do the dog and pony show at Caterpillar.
And so this is what Obama said.
And as soon as he says here he loves Bob Michael, you can see him sort of, or you can hear him sort of lose his place here.
Gee, why did I just say that?
And then he goes back to LaHood and tries to gracefully get out of this.
Listen, I want to thank uh Peoria's own Ray Lahood, who is doing outstanding work as my transportation secretary.
You know, Ray comes from a long line of uh Republicans I love.
Starting with uh Bob Michael and uh you know they're just I think there's a common sense uh Midwestern can do uh oh bipartisan attitude that Ray represents.
What about Bob?
And I am so pleased that he's in my cabinet.
What about Bob?
Oh, come on, Bob, stand up, let him see you, Bob.
You know, some of you may be wondering why I'm laughing.
I'm gonna tell you why I'm laughing.
Here's a little passage from Time magazine on June 24th, of 2001.
Just a little over eight years ago.
When Newt Gingrich arrived in the House in 1979, he could see that the Republicans were a sorry lot, sorely in need of inspiration if they were ever to find their way out of the wilderness.
The old minority leader, the sweetly irrelevant Bob Michael of Illinois, would greet all the freshly elected Republican members with the revelation quote every day I wake up, I look in the mirror, and I say to myself, today you're going to be a loser.
And after you're here a while, freshman, you'll start to feel the same way.
But don't let it bother you.
You'll get used to it.
No wonder Obama loves the guy.
Gingrich, Of course, refused to get used to it, and he spent 10 years recruiting and training his own private army and eventually brought the House under Republican control for the first time in 40 years.
Now, for those of you new to the program and don't know Bob Michael, let me give you an idea how it worked when Bob Michael was the Republican leader in the House.
They had 120, 130 seats.
Sometimes they get up as high as 150.
Out of 435.
They had no prayer.
And the Democrats would say, hey, Bob, you know what?
We're going to have some committee hearings today.
We're not going to let you guys in.
You don't need to be here.
You can't stop anyway.
Bob said, it's cool.
That's cool.
We'll just go out and play golf.
And the Democrats would set up a golf game at Congressional, and Bob would take some of his Republican buddies out there, maybe some lobbyists and go play golf.
He was the most compliant loser on the face of the earth.
He knew that there was no way he was ever going to win anything.
So he never even tried.
He was, he just accepted the role of minority, and they loved him.
The Democrats loved this guy.
He never opposed him.
He never said a word.
And by the way, those when we when we when we hear about civility in politics, that's what the Democrats mean.
Bob, we've lost the civility.
We've lost the days of good old Bob Michael, who never, he, I mean, he'd go to dinner with us, and uh he'd never demand to know what we were going to do in legislation, and maybe put up some token fights now and then just to make an appearance.
But he knew he couldn't stop anything, and there weren't any arguments, and they didn't try to come up with any uh you know tricks in the ways and means committee when tax law was being rewritten and hashed out.
And those were the days of civility where the Republican leader, yes, yes, quintessential civility and bipartisanship, where the Republican leader greets the arriving freshman.
Look, I get up every day and I look in the mirror and I say to myself, you're gonna be a loser today, and it's gonna happen to you, but don't worry, you'll get used to it.
It's not that bad.
You know, the real question is how many freshmen were there every year?
Because what was the point of running?
What was the point of winning when you were going to be part of a constantly losing minority?
Yet there were Republicans that did uh that did run.
So Obama puts Bob Michael on the plane from Washington to Peoria, singles him out here as a Republican he loves.
That's right.
Civility, bipartisanship, eager loser.
Willing, eager, happy loser.
Now, nobody spoke of Bob Michael this way until we came along in 1988.
Not in the media.
I mean, you had you had some Republicans back in 1988 in the House and on through 92, 93, that started to get frustrated.
But I remember uh once this show started, and I started poking fun here at Congressman Michael.
I remember he was finally asked about it at a couple places in Peori's, and he got mad.
You know, he got he thought he was doing the best he could.
He thought he was doing the best with what he had to work with.
Telling the incoming recruits, you're gonna feel just like I do every day.
You're gonna feel like you're gonna be a loser today, but you'll get used to it.
It's not that bad.
And no wonder the Democrats have been PO'd ever since 1994, and that's they are never ever gonna let that happen again.
And that's what the stimulus porculus package is all about.
We'll be right back.
We'll get to your phone calls when we return.
Before we get back to your phone calls, and we're gonna do it quickly here.
I want to go back and play two sound bites.
Number 12.
I want to play it over again because there's another funny aspect to this.
I want to thank uh Peoria's own Ray Lahood, who is doing outstanding work as my transportation secretary.
You know, Ray comes from a long line of uh Republicans I love.
Starting with uh Bob Michael and uh, you know, they're just I I think there's a common sense Midwestern can-do bipartisan attitude that Ray represents.
And I am so pleased that he's in my cabinet.
Ray Lahood doing outstanding work comes from a long line of Republicans I love, starting with Bob Michael.
And you know.
Well, I can't think of any other Republicans I love, so let's go back to Ray La Hood and what a great job he's doing in my cabinet.
He couldn't think of any other Republicans he loves.
And I mentioned earlier at the top of the program the utter embarrassment mainstream media has become it's they have plunged to such depths of incompetence and unprofessionalism and ignorance.
It's it's actually hard for me to come up with uh accurate words to describe what has happened to them, but it's typified by this montage from Anderson Cooper last night on his show 360 on CNN.
Is this another sign that the Republican Party has in fact declared all out war on President Obama?
Republicans have decided to declare war on the President.
This idea of a Republican war against the President is it a sign the Republicans are declaring war on the president?
Have they in fact declared war on President Obama?
A war, an insurgency by Republicans against the President, a war by Republicans against the President.
He was just last night, he was fit to be tied that no Republicans are supporting Obama on this uh stimulus bill.
And of course, I will guarantee you that Anderson Cooper didn't have the slightest idea what's in it.
I'll guarantee you Anderson Cooper could not sign a paper swearing he's read it.
I'll bet you that he could not tell us what's in it.
I bet you he has no idea what's in the bill.
And yet Republicans are on the war path.
My good buddy Pete Wayner wrote about this today at uh at the contentions blog, part of commentary magazine.
Anderson Cooper goes on and on and on about this war, but there was not a single mention of how Obama and the Democrats froze the Republicans out from the so-called negotiations on the stimulus bill, and how Pelosi has delighted in making that point.
There was no mention from Anderson Cooper of why John McCain, who seems to want nothing more in life than to work across the aisle, considers the legislation to be an abomination, nor was there any mention of Obama's gratuitous jabs at Republicans in his appearance before Democrats last week.
And there was hardly a critical word about the unprecedented effort to move the census into the White House and place it under the control of a partisan Ram Emanuel, who ran the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee, the 2006 election.
So Anderson, what's really happening under your perfectly quaffed little head and nose is that the war going on in America today is the Obama war against the Republicans.
There is a war, but it's Obama, and he's trying to wipe out the Republicans, and he's got the support of a couple or three that are gonna make it somewhat easy for him to do it.
Bill in Richmond, Virginia, you're next, sir.
Great to have you with us.
Rush.
Yeah.
About your comments on uh wanting Obama's policies to fail.
Yeah.
They continue to make a huge deal about on the mainstream media almost every night.
I hear something about it.
Yeah.
Well, one thing that I haven't heard mentioned, couldn't you argue that in November almost sixty million Americans voted for Obama to fail?
Yeah, exactly right.
He did not win that big a majority.
The idea that this country's totally tank for Obama is a big myth.
Also, do you know this?
He's the most popular president ever.
My God, the American people love him.
They've got so much invested in Obama, right?
So his first press conference after his inauguration.
Forty-nine million viewers.
Bill Clinton's first press conference after his inauguration attracted 64 million viewers.
I mean, this the th so many myths have been set up about Obama.
But look, the the the left needs a demon.
The left needs an enemy, and nobody on our side in an elected position is willing to be that.
And so it fell to me.
And I didn't decide to take the responsibility simply because nobody else was.
I was just being honest when Hannity asked me about this.
And I was I I I want everything he's doing to fail.
His job, his stimulus is not about creating jobs.
It's about, oh, we've been through this.
I'm looking, I'm getting blue in the face.
Talking about this.
We anybody with a brain knows what's in this.
Anybody with a brain knows that this approach has never worked.
There's no evidence it's ever worked.
It will be the first time.
This is not about creating jobs.
This is the exact opposite.
This is this is this is all about rebuilding the Democrat Party into an unbeatable entity.
It's about remaking the United States of America without the Constitution as the guiding light.
Of course I want this to fail.
Of course I want Obama to fail.
And after this stimulus bill package passes, I want it to fail.
Let me give them some more fodder.
I want the stimulus package to fail.
Because if this thing for the first time ever does what it never has done before, we're even worse trouble.
If it becomes established that the federal government and the federal government alone can manage the economy and take over the private sector...
Then forget it, folks.
I'm looking for property in New Zealand, and I'm going to put my money in Singapore.
I do not want this to succeed.
And nobody who has any respect for the founding of this country and for the capitalist system, who is honest and who has looked at it, would want it to succeed either.
We're being told it must succeed because it's Obama's.
Well, what's such a big deal about Obama?
Somebody tell me.
Somebody tell me.
Somebody to drive by me.
Call me.
What is it that's so big about Obama that no matter what he does, it has to succeed?
I want you to tell me.
I want somebody to tell me just why we have to ignore every detail.
We have to ignore history.
We have to ignore his lies.
We have to ignore his prevarications and misleading statements.
We have to ignore everything historically we know and make sure we support that.
Would somebody tell me why and what it is about Barack Obama that makes it necessary that we all check our brains at the door and walk into the room brainless and support this.
Somebody tell me.
What is it about Barack Obama?
What is it about Barack Obama that says we have to fall in line and we have to support this?
Why is it that people who have no earthly idea what's in this legislation?
Why is it that they tell us we have to support it?
Why are they so outraged when somebody would dare publicly say, gosh, I hope this albatross doesn't work.
I hope this doesn't succeed.
Would somebody tell me in the drive-by media just what it is about Obama that mandates everybody supporting this thing.
The porculus bill passed the House, which was no that's a no-brainer.
246 to 183.
We need to know how many Democrats voted against it.
We know the Republicans all did.
We need to know how many Democrats.
The last tally I saw, there were six Democrats that were voting against it before the final tally, and I haven't seen a breakdown since the final vote was reached.
Here is uh Cameron in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Great to have you on the program.
Hello.
Rush, it is a distinct honor to talk to you.
Uh, thank you, sir, very much.
Uh, Russ, listen, uh, I'm sad for the nation today because we have now the specter of Arlem hanging over our heads, and it is to uh Pennsylvania's shame.
Yeah, this guy, ladies and gentlemen, is just one of hundreds we are hearing from today.
You're in good good company out there, uh, Cameron.
Uh I've I'm told Snerdley tells me that we're being inundated With um just countless people like you from Pennsylvania who are just angry as they can be at uh at Senator Specter.
Okay, with seven Democrats voted against it as opposed to eleven or twelve, whatever it was the last time.
So they got more they picked up more Democrat votes for the uh porcupist bill in the House than they got last time.
Uh Cameron, thanks much for the uh for the phone call.
I appreciate it.
I I really I'm serious.
Somebody drive by media, call me or send me a note.
You're criticizing me for hoping he fails.
You tell me what it is about this guy personally.
Says we have to hope he succeeds.
What is it about it?
You tell me.
And we are back, Rush Limbaugh on the cutting edge of societal evolution.
Instead of being asked, and I don't I refuse to go on the defensive about this anyway.
You know, why do you want Obama to fail?
I've explained it.
I'll say it again.
Not only do I want Obama to fail, I want this package to fail.
I want this to blow up in their face.
I want this to be seen by the American people for what it is.
Nothing to do with getting them jobs, nothing to do with reviving the gross domestic product of this country.
I want, once and for all, the American people to see full frontal nudity on what liberalism is and what a lie it is.
They have been sold a bill of goods.
This legislation will not accomplish anything that it is being that people are being promised.
And I want people to see it.
We can't stop it.
So if the Democrats want to destroy this economy at the ex at at that it to the to their benefit to create more and more poverty, to create more and more homelessness, to create more and more dependency on the federal government, let the American people see it.
Let the American people see what messiahs do with unchecked power.
Some of you people in the media, I'm serious.
You tell me.
You tell me why he has to succeed, regardless.
You tell me what it is about Barack Obama that make it imperative his policies, regardless what they are, succeed.
You tell me.
And then let me ask you some questions.
Did Obama and the Democrats hope Bush succeeded?
Do they hope Republicans succeed?
Does Obama hope I succeed?
Or does he want people to stop listening to me?
You people in the media answer these questions for me.
Did Obama and the Democrats hope the U.S. military succeeded in Iraq?
Or did they try to guarantee failure?
Did they try, were they trying to engender a defeat for the U.S. military?
You people in the military tell me, or the media, because you were helping them.
Do the Obama Democrats want oil companies to succeed?
Do Democrats want the airline manufacturers to succeed?
Do the Obama Democrats want tobacco farmers to succeed?
Do Barack Obama Democrats want Halliburton to succeed.
Who do you think you're kidding here?
Limbaugh, I hope Obama fails.
Exactly.
I hope the stimulus bill fails.
I hope it does exactly what we know it will do.
Blow everything to smithereens and not do one thing that has been promised.
Apparently experience is the greatest teacher.
And when these poor people who think bo Barack Obama means a new house, a new car, a new job, when they find out that's not what Barack Obama means.
So I do hope that happens.
Here's the exchange, by the way, that I talked about 27, 28, 29.
Let me see if I want to use all of these, because time is crucial.
Let's see.
Yeah, let's let's start with 27.
Let's go here and see how quickly we can get through these.
The CEO of Caterpillar, after the President left the event, said that he did not think the stimulus package in and of itself would be able to Enable him to rehire workers.
Certainly not in the short term.
He put out a statement today saying that a stimulus package combined with other significant stimulus packages abroad would help move the global economy towards recovery, and if these packages are enacted quickly, they could stimulate demand for our products.
And that would likely over time provide caterpillar the opportunity to recall employees have been laid off.
Certainly not exactly what uh President Obama said he had said, and I don't know what he said to begin with.
Um but if you could clarify that what the president said that uh the chairman and the CEO said if the recovery plan is passed, the company would be able to rehire some of those employees, and as you just read, uh he said that if these packages are enacted quickly that could stimulate demand for our products, that would likely over time provide caterpillar the opportunity to recall employees that have been laid off during this downturn.
I think uh the statement that you just read and the statement of the president are very consistent.
Now, this is Jake Tapper, and of course there's nothing consistent about this.
Tapper said, wait a minute.
The CEO says your package will not cause him to rehire.
CEO actually said there's only forty-six billion dollars in uh in heavy equipment or heavy construction in this thing, and it's not gonna help us at all.
And Gibson, well, no, he said what uh president and the CEO said it very consistent.
So Tapper says I don't even know how to respond to that.
It seems to me like the president the I mean the president was clearly giving the impression this is before the stimulus package had passed, uh, that the CEO of Caterpillar, who just announced layoffs in January,
said that he would be able to rehire some of those workers if this stimulus package passed the one stimulus package that the Senate was considering at the time, and what the CEO of Caterpillar said today, and again, I don't know what he said in private to anybody in your administration.
What he said today was this one plus other ones worldwide over a period of time that could enable them to rehire some of those workers.
Would likely over time provide caterpillar the opportunity to recall employees who've been laid off during this downturn.
He would not belabor it.
But uh he tried twice to get Gibbs to admit that the CEO and Obama are saying different things.
And you heard Gibbs and no, they're saying the same thing.
No, this it's it's it's beyond Orwellian.
This is beyond Orwellian.
This is Baghdad Bob.
You know, our troops are on the outskirts of Baghdad, and Baghdad Bob says that they're nowhere around where he haven't even entered the country.
This is Baghdad Bob.
So Tapper, who you have to give a lot of credit to here.
He's the only drive-byer who went this way.
So Tamper says, okay, let me try a different tack.
Congressman Ed Shock uh yesterday, who President Obama urged uh caterpillar employees Aaron Shock.
What did I say?
Oh, I'm sorry, Aaron Shock.
Cater uh President Obama urged him at caterpillar employees to lobby him.
Uh went to the floor of the House today and said that he uh had stayed around for half an hour and not one caterpillar employee came to him and urged him to vote for the stimulus package, and in fact, over the course of time, 1400 caterpillar employees uh have urged him to oppose the stimulus package.
And I was just wondering what you think that indicates if the president comes to a factory, uh heralds what this bill will do for these employees, urges them to lobby a congressman, and according to the congressman, not one of them does so.
Well, I I haven't uh I haven't seen what the Congressman said.
It means we got to get a hold of this congressman.
Uh turn this congressman upside down, and we're gonna as Congressman to say that you misheard him, Mr. Tapper.
You understand this, folks?
Yesterday after the event, Ed or Aaron Schock, the Congressman from Peoria.
Obama urged him, urged caterpillar employees to lobby him after the event yesterday.
The Congressman who went to the floor of the House today said he had stayed for half an hour after the Obama event yesterday at Caterpillar.
Not one caterpillar employee came to him and urged him to vote for the stimulus.
In fact, he's been hearing from phone calls and email.
1,400 Caterpillar employees have urged their own congressmen to oppose this.
2,400 Caterpillar employees have urged their own congressmen to oppose this.
I don't know if you've read 1984, but but I I feel like I'm in it.
I this is this is just stu I I you drive by by the way, Jake Tapper get some protection, buddy.
Get some protection.
Jake Tapper is at least illustrating or portraying the behavioral habits of long ago great journalist stars of the of the past.
Uh anyway, but I gotta go to a quick break here, folks.
However, you know, you wear their the the leave that up there of the controversy involving bi-American.
Obama and his buddies tried to sneak a by-American clause in the stimulus package, and it caused a bunch of ripples out there overseas in Canada in Great Britain, and all of this newfound love and respect for the United States based on Obama being elected caused a bunch of problems, and they both were threatening trade wars.
Obama backed down real fast.
He backed, they took it out of there.
They backed back down real fast on this buy American stuff.
They didn't want trade wars with people.
But this was also designed to show patriotism.
Now the buy American stuff, a lot of people do that anyway on their own, as it should be.
But to put government policy as bi-americ protectionism, that's tariffs that's it's it's that would that would have been the equivalent of smoot hawley in the middle of all this, which has also helped what expand the uh the Great Depression.
But if you are bi American, if that's if that's something I want to tell you the GM's an official sponsor here, and we're proud of that.
And one of the one of the greatest improvements General Motors has made with luxury and high standards, is at Cadillac.
And they've got a huge President's Day event.
Now, I don't know if you're in the market for a new car, but deals can be had as deals can be had on homes these days.
Deals can be had on real estate these days, deals can be had in a lot of ways if you have, and some people do, some disposable income.
You can save lots of money on first-class vehicles.
They've got the the Cadillac Escalade hybrid out now, 20 miles per gallon in the city.
The the CTS, we love the CT.
We drove a CTS around here, the 2009 Car and Driver, 10 best award winner, uh for the second straight year.
They're offering great financing or even cashback deals.
And if you're in the market for a new car, go check out the new Cadillacs through March 2nd.
Your Cadillac dealer, go to Cadillac.com for details.
They have really, really stepped up that line, done great work, and they're making big deals right now.
So if you're if you're if your patriotism is bi-American and you're looking for a car, just go look at them.
Look at the CTS.
Just look at it.
And tell me you're not oppressed with it.
Back in a second.
And a den of thieves gathered around Nancy Pelosi to celebrate themselves.
No Republicans voted for this, and you watch once again.
The media and the Democrats will be harping on the Republicans for not joining them bipartisan.
You watch the Republicans gonna come under severe criticism for this.
And it's actually a great thing that they have done here for themselves and for the country and the future.
And the media is gonna be all over them.
It's this is as predictable as the sun setting tonight.
It's almost gonna be portrayed, not totally, but there'll be tinges of my shame.
It's not a total victory for Obama.
They didn't get the bipartisan support.
Trevor in Wichita, glad you called, sir.
Hi.
So Russ, did you want President Obama to fail in the implementation of his ideas or policies?
Or after they're implemented, you would you support them after they're already passed?
Well.
Trevor, if I oppose the policies before they're passed and support the policies, the same policies after they're passed, why would have I opposed it in the first place?
Well, I understand that like I oppose the stimulus package, for instance, because of the overspending, but once it is passed, do we have another uh how can you oppose it once it's passed?
Oh, I uh easily I oppose it beforehand, I oppose it afterwards, and I'm being consistent.
You know the reason I oppose you know why I oppose it, Trevor?
Why that?
Well, because I'm I'm all for prosperity and opportunity and freedom.
I want I don't want people to be poor.
I don't want people to be unemployed.
I don't want people to be hopeless.
I don't want people to be misled.
I don't want people to be lied to.
I don't want people to be told that somebody like government is going to do something for them when they're not.
I want this to fail because this is the most expansive expenditure in the Democrat Party and liberalism's power that there has ever been.
I hope it blows up in their face.
I hope this thing does exactly what those of us who have studied these kinds of things do.
I hope it prolongs the failure, I hope it prolongs the recession, I hope it because people are going to have to figure out here this is not how economies recover.
Government is not the central planner, government is not control of this, government can't do it.
This is this is it's a disaster.
And and you know, I could sit here and say, yeah, I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope and pray this is the first time this works.
But if this works, the America that you and I know is over, Trevor.
Uh for your kids, it's over for a generation.
But is there any way to fight it after it passes?
What?
Is there any way to fight it or oppose it after it passes?
No.
Nope, done deal.
Can't do anything about it, just not participate in it the best you can by not putting yourself in a position of need.
But it doesn't matter, you're still going to raped financially for those who are.
That's true.
So I mean, look at it is it is what it is.
I I'm just gonna tell you, if if you, Trevor, if somebody came to you and asked you two months ago to design a stimulus package you thought would fail, this would be it.
If somebody said, write a bill that will not create private sector jobs, write a bill that will increase inflation and indebtedness.
This is the bill.
It's not like I'm criticizing something I would ordinarily be in favor of if Bush, if Bush or McCain were proposing this, if a Republican were behind this.
Same thing.
I hope it fails.
And I mean that.
From the bottom of my heart.
Folks, it is gonna fail.
This is the sad.
It breaks my heart that it's gonna fail.
Story out of uh, what is it, London, uh genetic blueprints.
They've they think that they have unraveled the genetic code of the common cold.
There are 99 known strains of the common cold.
However, every time we hear one of these stories, there's also this.
But it's never probably going to result in a vaccine.
Because maybe a drug, but the the costs of developing a drug and the trials, 700 million dollars, plus the regulatory process.
So they think they've isolated the common cold gene, but there's gonna be nothing we can do for it, which means what?
Zycam.
LyCam, remember folks.
They come up with all this great hope news that's false and phony.
There's one thing you can do to limit the severity of your call, and it's Zycam, Z-I-C-A-M.
That you can count on.
Now look here, just to clarify, heading into the weekend.
We will be here on Monday on President's Day, by the way.
When I say before the plan passes, I hope Obama fails.
See, I by the way, anybody notice I have hope too.
