Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24 7 Podcast.
Well, let's see, where were we today, folks?
We got let's see.
Um Obama has leaked the meetings, uh, the details of a private meeting with George W. Bush.
And yesterday on this program, I asked, will he leak it during the meeting with his Blackberry Live, or will he wait until afterwards and have Biden do it?
Regardless, I know these people, my friends, I know them.
We have a story from uh the political exit polling data show that the fastest growing group of people, the fastest growing demographic in the United States the past, and I get this, the past eight years has been people who earn more than 100,000 a year.
And Obama got the vast majority of those voters.
Uh, greetings, folks, and welcome.
It's Rush Limbaugh back at action behind the Golden EIB microphone here at the uh the EIB Southern Command.
Telephone number if you want to join us, 800-282-2882, the email address L Rushbo at EIBNet.com.
Fashion that for six years, the drive-by media tried to portray the United States economy as soup-line, a recession.
They tried to create doom and gloom in the minds of as many people as possible.
And yet, the fastest growing demographic group in America the past six years have been people to make a hundred grand or over, and a majority of them voted for the Messiah.
I will have analysis of this as the program unfolds before your very eyes.
Also, we have this is fabulous.
We have an AP Obama story.
You know how Bush got hammered for doing everything in the war on terror in secret?
Guess what now?
Covert operations are fine and dandy.
As uh for Obama.
Covert operations doing things in secret because he needs that flexibility.
To go out and fight the war on terror, from the Chicago Tribune blog, Iraq bombings show progress.
Today's bombings in Iraq, which left dozens dead is a stark and horrible reminder that while violence has dropped significantly there as a result of the surge.
It's a measure of progress that today's blasts, which killed at least 31 in Baghdad and more elsewhere, according to the Associated Press, represented the worst day of violence since June.
So we have the worst day of violence in Baghdad since June, portrayed as progress now, that Obama you just as I keep saying it, just have to laugh.
This is a uh this is a new hymn.
Uh covert operations necessary now for Barry to stay flexible.
Bomb blasts in Iraq show progress.
This is the new hymn written by the drive-bys for the Church of Obama.
And there's even more, uh, ladies and gentlemen, uh, of this kind of thing.
Uh yesterday, in trying to explain to you people why it is the drive-by's and the Democrats are not going to be swayed by any Obama failure.
Because they're in love.
Remember, I mentioned the point, these are these are these are most of these people grew up in the 60s.
And when you're young and you have your first love affair, whatever kind of love affair it is, that's the one you always remembered.
Their political, first political love affair was Camelot, the Kennedys.
And so they're out there now.
We've got the sound bites.
Everybody, these drive-by's, it feels like Camelot again.
It feels like the Kennedys are back.
You will not believe it until you hear the audio sound bites.
But before we get to all of this, uh, oh.
Speaking of Camelot, Cuban President Raul Castro will visit Russia next year, the Kremlin said today, in a news sign that Moscow is reviving a Cold War era trade and military alliance.
Moscow also repeated calls for Washington to lift the economic bargo imposed on Cuba in 62 when Fidel Castro was in power.
Next year we await Raul Castro in our country, and this will be yet another contribution to the development of ties, said Dmitry Medvedev to Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque in Moscow.
So yeah, we're getting Camelot back, and we're gonna get a new alliance between the Soviet Union and Cuba.
History repeating itself.
And why do I get the why do I get the sense that just as was the case in 1962 here in 2008, 2009, uh could well be that uh the KGB Vladimir Putin might wipe the floor with Barack Obama.
So Camelot's back in more ways than one.
Yesterday we had a story, little house cleaning here.
We had a story from Judicial Watch, which said that the Arizona Supreme Court had acquiesced to a demand by a Latino Bar Group that the word illegal and aliens and so forth was not permitted to be uttered in the courtroom.
We heard, apparently a fire storm was created over this story, and we heard from the communications director, the Arizona Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, who tells us that the judicial watch story is factually incorrect.
The Office of Chief Justice Ruth McGregor received a letter from a Hispanic group of the bar.
It was seven pages long, and among the issues in the letter that this group wanted the court to address was the use of the word illegal.
As is the process when the court receives letters from constituents or groups, these letters are passed along without regard to what point of view or suggestion the letters contain.
The communications director, Carrie Grebnik, said these letters come from both sides.
There was never a ban on the word illegal.
There was never any action by Judge McGregor taken off of the letter.
It was simply distributed within the court.
No edict was made, no executive order was written.
She couldn't say even whether any action would result from the letter one way or the other, simply put out there for people to see.
This is how we do things, but they have not they have not acquiesced to the demands of the Hispanic bar groups.
So the they're claiming that the judicial watch website was uh was factually incorrect.
They also um are very disturbed about what kind of reporting this can do to the uh image of the judicial system in the United States.
And they cite a um a piece story here that was running late yesterday afternoon, uh, that basically says that Hispanic lawyers group has asked Arizona's chief justice to end state court use of words its members consider inflammatory, such as illegal aliens, but Carrie Gerchik, spokesman for the Arizona Supreme Court, said Monday that there's been no ban on any words, nor is Chief Justice Ruth McGregor considering one.
So um, well, I maybe they didn't want to look like the Ninth Circuit, but who would what court would want to look like the Ninth Circuit, except of course for the Ninth Circuit, which takes pride uh in the in the way it looks.
But I wanted to get this out because they they got hold of us.
It was a light late in the day, yes, at five or five thirty or so, and I just wanted to let you know that uh they're claiming, they say at the Arizona Supreme Court that the judicial watch story was factually incorrect.
And that's good.
Uh because it was deeply troubling.
As Tom Dashell used to say, we were concerned uh about this.
And we're happy to hear that the story is not true.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, uh something I have observed, and once again, I wish I had mentioned this a couple days ago when I first started observing it.
I've actually m uh observed it throughout the campaign.
I just I just never discussed it with you.
I wish I had, because I've got audio sound bites once again to confirm that my instincts were correct.
You look at Obama and and you study him during the campaign, and you know, he said nothing better than anybody has ever said nothing, and he said it articulately, and he said it with confidence, and he said it as a as a charismatic demagogue, and attracted a lot of people.
And since the election, he has been, and even before, you know, he would set up uh oh when he would do an appearance, he would make it look like it was an oval office.
For example, the TV had the two-minute uh TV ad that it looked like it came from the Oval Office.
Uh the 30-minute TV ad looked like it came in part from the Oval Office.
This guy's acting like president already.
We discussed this on the program countless times.
This guy's acting like he's president already, and the bottom line to that, if you strip everything away was that he was acting presidential.
Acting, ACTING, acting.
And I have I have discovered, I think I've put it all together now since I heard these soundbites which are coming up here in just a second, the one campaign line that that Obama is likely to live up to.
And I don't know if he's going to live up to tax cuts.
I don't know if he's going to live up to alternative energy.
I don't know if he's going to live up to uh his promise to get out of Iraq immediately.
Why should he when the uh when the drive-by's call the worst bombing attack since June progress?
Gosh, I make myself laugh.
Why should he care about getting out of Iraq now if the press, if the drive-bys are going to sing his praises here?
But the one tagline that he will live up to for the next four years, regardless what happens, he acts presidential.
Remember that.
He acts presidential.
Accent is not on presidential, it's on acts.
He acts presidential.
So while the media is pondering, will he be the next JFK?
Will it be Camelot?
The more sensible question is will he be Martin Sheen who acted presidential on the West Wing?
Or will he act more presidential than Dennis Hayesbert, who played the first black president on 24, or maybe he will act more presidential like Gina Davis in commander-in-chief, although I doubt that because that show bombed.
Maybe he will um uh turn out to be a Chicago thug and act presidential like Gregory Itsen, the rogue President Logan in 24.
But regardless, he's got it down pat acting presidential.
Maybe he'll act like President Obama.
Uh wait.
Obama's not an actor, even though he acts like one.
So uh we don't know who Obama is, or remember Charlie Rose and Tom Brooke.
We don't know who he is.
He's acting presidential.
With that in mind, a couple of audio sound bites on MSNBC.
They are seriously comparing Obama to a TV show.
It was this morning, David Schuster talking to former West Wing producer and writer Lawrence O'Donnell, who used to be an NBC uh contributor.
And Schuster says, producer and writer of NBC's The West Wing, as well as an NBC analyst.
All right, Lawrence, here we go.
Barack Obama has named his chief of staff, Ram Emanuel, headed to the White House to fill that role in the West Wing.
You had Leo McGarry.
Uh any any similarities there, Lawrence.
Well, only in that they're both very experienced and capable.
You know, the Leo McGarry, I think, David, would be more a model of Tom Dashell.
You know, Tom Dashl was the other person who was in the running for that job, and uh Leo McGarry was the senior statesman type who had uh more experience than Rahmanuel.
So Rah, I think is much more similar to the Josh Lyman character who was the deputy chief of staff.
They're serious about this.
They are they are comparing the Obama presidency to the West Wing.
Remember all the jokes that we used to tell here about when liberals watch the West Wing, they think they're actually watching the administration.
Uh every time we make jokes about these people, the jokes turn out to be true.
Then David Schuster says to Lawrence O'Donnell, you mentioned uh Josh Lyman.
Uh David Axel Rod will be one of the top advisors.
Possible that he's a combination of Josh Lyman, Toby Ziggler, and Sam Seaborn.
I see David Axelrod as more in the Toby Ziegler mold, the Richard Schiff character in the show.
There's a lot of practical choices you make within government, a lot of compromises, and someone has to keep an eye on where's the line, where have we gone too far?
And uh, I think David Axelrod fits that view of uh because he's the kind of global strategist of the Obama campaign, and presumably will have an eye on a similar perspective in the White House.
So uh, ladies and gentlemen, they are seriously comparing the Obama administration to the TV show West Wing.
Uh It's all a game.
It's an act.
He's acting presidential.
And they are comparing Obama to the West Wing.
Just wanted you to know this.
Just wanted you to know it.
Lots to do on the program today, your phone calls included.
Be patient.
We'll be right back and continue with all the rest after this.
The views expressed by the host on this program are real.
We do not act.
If the Obama administration or his transition team is an act, and if they're comparing it to the West Wing, can I shout cut?
Stop the action?
No, we're we're we're we're doomed, ladies and gentlemen, to live through this show.
Isn't it interesting?
Um, you know, Ram Emanuel has a brother.
His name is Ari Emmanuel.
Ari Emmanuel, one of the top agents in Hollywood.
Last year at two years ago at the ATT Pro Am when I go out and play, uh, there's always a dinner on Wednesday night, uh, hosted by a famous person who wishes the dinner to be kept secret because he can't invite everybody, so I will not mention his name.
But I was seated next to Ari Emmanuel.
Uh and it just, I mean, he was it was over the top, nice, energetic, full of energy.
You gotta come out, you gotta come out and watch the Academy Awards as my guest.
You gotta come out and be with me.
It was just, he was just going over the top being nice.
You'd love it out here.
A lot to show you around and so forth.
This is like two years ago.
And I exchanged emails with him a couple times, nothing substantive, nothing policy-wise.
It just it just struck me here with all this acting that Clinton's had Harry Thomason, Linda Bloodworth Thomason, and and and now the the Democrats have got access, uh, the Obama campaign to whoever they want in Hollywood from Spielberg to uh George Lucas.
Anybody they want to stage things for them.
It's happened during the campaign, of course.
I think Spielberg produced the thing out in Denver with the Greek columns, if I'm not mistaken, not quite sure about that.
President Bush, this is A.P. Obama, Pamela Hess, the drive-by writer here.
President Bush leaves President elect Obama broad latitude for covert action in countries with which the U.S. is not at war.
Powers that Obama could scale back, along with other Bush presidential orders, now under consideration for rescinding, but Obama's not likely to do that.
Uh Obama already has telegraphed his willingness to exercise those powers if he deems them necessary.
Obama said in an August speech that he would target high-value terrorists in Pakistan without the government's permission.
Rescinding blanket orders, rescinding Bush executive orders on fighting terrorism would limit Obama's flexibility and proscribe the terrorists or proscribe the uh uh ability of U.S. intelligence and military forces to capture or kill wanted terrorists.
So you see the Bush executive orders allowing us to go wherever we wanted to go in the world to find the bad guys with special ops.
That was horrible.
That was worth leaking to the front page of the New York Times yesterday.
And every covert operation that the drive-bys could find on Bush leaked from the CIA, leaked from the State Department, leaked from the Pentagon, plastered all over the newspapers.
Bush was said to be spying on Americans.
Bush was Bush was just horrible.
He's violating everybody's civil rights.
Bush had to go.
Bush had to be impeached.
Bush didn't care.
He was listening in on your phone calls.
Bush was running around the world.
America hated by the world because Bush was running around with these kind of orders.
But now that they are Obama's.
Why, it's perfectly understandable that he would not rescind them.
Why?
Because Obama needs the flexibility.
If he has to go in and bomb Pakistan without Pakistan permission, he needs the flexibility to do it.
Yes, yes, that's right.
Those are our planes now, Ron.
These are our executive orders now.
These are our covert operations.
Rescinding blanket orders would limit Obama's flexibility and proscribe the ability of U.S. intelligence to capture or kill wanted terrorists.
So when Bush was doing these things, it was bad.
It's bad for America, bad for the world.
Poisoning.
It was poisoning the attitude of the world against us.
And he was going over the heads of Congress.
He was slapping Congress in the face.
He was ripping the Constitution to shreds.
He was using the Constitution as toilet paper.
But now but now it's Obama.
And he must have the flexibility to do these things in order to go after terrorists and catch bad guys.
By the way, listen to this montage yesterday and last night from the drive by media.
What really struck the Obama camp was how gracious President Bush was.
It was one gracious couple welcoming another senator remarked how gracious President Bush was.
They were incredibly gracious.
President and Mrs. Bush were extremely gracious.
George W. Bush has been incredibly gracious.
President Bush has made this pretty easy by being so gracious.
It's very gracious of President Bush.
Everything we hear is that he was very very gracious.
This is President Bush at his best being very gracious.
The visit that AIDS described as gracious the Bushes are very gracious and decent people.
The Bushes who are very gracious people and George Bush could not have been more gracious.
grace the class at the bushes showed i keep hearing reports at the president is been very gracious about all this was less two voices you heard were the forehead paul biggill and charlie rose Now this is beyond absurd and it is infuriating because whatever you think on policy all of these people have known for eight years what a decent and gracious man George W. Bush is.
Now all of a sudden that he's being nice to Obama is being nice to the Messiah well look at what a gracious and decent guy George W. Bush it's another indictment the unprofessionalism of journalists today.
President Bush at this very moment aboard the refurbished USS Intrepid, giving the annual Veterans Day address.
The Fox News channel is carrying it at the moment.
And the president's looking good, sounding good.
He's a decent guy.
Just gracious.
He's just being gracious as he can be out there, ladies and gentlemen, on the deck of the USS Intrepid.
Speaking of gracious, Willie Brown, last night on Campbell Brown No Bias No Bull is that the name of her new show Campbell No Bias no bull anyway she wasn't even there for her new show there was a fill-in host John Roberts and he spoke with uh former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown and Robert says what do you think uh incoming president elect Barack Obama learned today from President Bush?
I would expect that he wasn't learning anything about Paula's name.
I think more than anything else he probably for the first time have come to the reality that this is not necessarily an evil person.
And you may have a disagreement with his views you may have a disagreement with his policies but he's really a charming warm wonderful human being misguided all of this was so predictable.
Oh, it's funny, but it's infuriating.
They called this man Hitler.
They called him Bush Hitler.
They burned him in effigy.
They did books about assassinating him.
They did movies about assassinating him.
They said he was stupid.
They said he was trampling on the Constitution, shredding it, and using it for toilet paper.
but he was spying on Americans.
now after one meeting with Obama why the president was so gracious and so decent and Willie Brown he's really a charming warm wonderful human being Mr. Mayor that is not what your party has said for the last eight years you whipped your supporters in this country into a frenzy by saying that Bush is exactly
that evil and he had to be impeached and all that this is just it's so these people do they know in the drive by's the Democrat Party how predictable they are here is Julian Kodiak Alaska as we head to the phones.
Hi Julie great to have you here good morning.
How are you, Russ?
Never better.
Thanks much.
Me neither.
We have we have Miss Kalen back, so we're happy here.
I had a question about um I what I see as like an unusual amount of pressure by the Obama pre um elect staffers and and how much they're trying to get done prior to Obama becoming the actual president.
Do you see this uh um different than in in um situations in the past that there's an excessive amount of pressure to get Bush to do things that he wouldn't normally do, such as more aid and it's very thuggish behavior on the uh part of the Obama transition team.
It reminds me of uh what Bill Clinton said uh back in August uh that that the Obama and his people have the instincts of a Chicago thug uh to go into the White House after being graciously indecently invited just to go and hey, here's your new office.
Uh Willie Brown said I don't think there was much policy discussed, or we can learn much po uh that Mr. Mayor, I'm sorry, I think Bush could teach Obama a lot of reality about what's going on in the world.
I'll bet uh there was some of that.
But we've heard uh uh Julie, it's a great question because do you remember when Senator McCain uh decently and graciously suspended his campaign to fly to Washington to save the country during the financial crisis?
Do you remember that?
I do, and I remember that um he was the only one that put ne didn't necessarily lose it in that meeting.
That's uh exactly what I was going to say.
What happened is they had a meeting in the cabinet room, and the word got out this is the second time that an Obama private meeting details have leaked.
And in both meetings, Obama was there.
So and in in yesterday's meeting it was just the two of them, so we know who's leaking.
Now the Libs will not call this a leak.
They'll call Obama a whistleblower.
There you go.
But now wait a minute.
Now I want to make my point here.
So in both these meetings, we hear stories of thuggish behavior.
The leak out of the first meeting wasn't Obama walked and he just took over.
He just took over that meeting and it took Bush a while to regain control.
We also heard the meeting fell apart, and nothing got done, but he walked in there and started asserting control.
Now we hear, and this has to have come from Barry himself.
Now we hear that he went in there and started ordering Bush around on how to do with the auto bailout and so forth, and Bush hang tough and said, Nope, not going to do that unless you go along with this Columbia free trade thing, to which Obama said, Screw you, buddy, I'll just wait and take care of it when I'm inaugurated, then.
Uh and yeah, that's what I heard on the radio today that they were saying that how dare Bush um attach any request to something that they are right now.
I look at I I I don't want to spend the next two years doing I told you so every day, folks.
I really don't.
You know, I I I could, I I will be able to, but I really don't want to do that because it's annoying.
People don't like hearing people go, yeah.
People don't like this.
But there's nothing centrist about this group of people.
They are bulldozers.
They're going to go in there and they're gonna hit the ground running from the from the after he says uh the the oath of office and gives his speech on January twentieth, they get back to the White House.
I'm telling you, you better brace yourselves because there's gonna be more stuff done undone, if you will, uh in in the first hundred days than you can possibly imagine.
Obama goes in there.
We don't know what really happened.
What we know is what Obama has said happened.
It could well be that Obama went into both meetings and didn't say diddly squat.
It could be that Obama went into both meetings, especially talk about the one yesterday, went in there, and it was a kind, gracious little chat for an hour, talked about policy.
But what we're getting is that this young guy, he went in there and he told Bush how it's gonna be.
He wasn't deferential, he didn't, he's not tied up in the pomp and circumstance of the office.
He wasn't in awe or dazzled by where he was.
He's too important, he's too focused.
He went in there and he told the president of the United States just what the hell's up.
Now, I don't know which version to believe, but if if if we were to learn factually that the second version, the latter version is true, I could totally believe it.
I think off camera, where we don't see Obama, I don't see this acting presidential business.
You don't come out of the neighborhood, the Chicago political machine.
You don't come out of that neighborhood a cream puff.
You don't come out of there a polite guy when you're dealing with political matters.
You come out of there ham-handed, two-fisted, whatever it takes.
And the people he's put to John Podesta, the transition chief.
I'm d this is still he was ragging Bush two hours forward to me.
This guy was Clinton's chief of staff.
I mean, these are these are hard nosed heavyweight fighters, folks.
They are in there pounding each and every day.
So I tend to believe that the leaked version of what we got out of there is uh is true.
Uh and that's what they want us to think that Obama went in there and just took charge.
Uh I'm I'm just I'm just predicting to you that that uh we we don't in Obama we do not have and by the way, this is why Charlie Rose and Tom Broker are saying they don't know who he is.
This is why all these media well, it's interesting question.
Obama Obama books reads.
Uh they know who he is.
They know exactly who he is, and they're gonna have to be in the business of propping him up and supporting him when he behaves in the typical Chicago machine way.
And so I just mark my words here, folks.
There's there's nothing mild-mannered, there's nothing messianic here, uh, there's nothing uh cool.
This guy is cold.
I told you, I warned you people back during the campaign.
The adjective attack to the attached to this guy, he's cool.
He's calm.
He is a cold tactician out of the Chicago political machine.
Look at his associates, look at his allies, look at the people he's chosen to run the show here.
This guy is cold.
It's just something creepy about the guy.
In fact, he has created this creature that we all see.
I'm quoting Newsweek here now, by the way, if you're just tuning in.
John Meekham, Evan Thomas, creepy.
Very creepy, very singular.
Makes that acceptance speech and kicks the kids and the wife backstage.
Scram, Michelle, get the hell out of here.
It's my time now.
You come back when I'm finished.
And by the way, go unlock Biden.
He's in the bar.
And when he got off the airplane yesterday in Washington to go meet the president, got off the plane alone.
We know Michelle was there because she ended up getting out of the limo at the White House.
You gotta be kidding me.
You have got to be I did not know that.
They took separate flights.
They they took separate he charred that we I found out Obama chartered that American jet that's an MD-80.
He chart he chartered it and he didn't put his wife and kids on it or a wife?
Did she whoa, no, no, no, no, no, wait a second.
Now, don't tell me she had to go visit schools while he was busy, because she walked into the White House with him.
They met up in the car separate flights, met up in the car.
No, what at the airport?
That car did not stop once it left the airport.
So what had to happen is that the Michelle's flight had to land early, and they got her in the car, nobody knew where she was.
I'm sure this was just security precaution.
Security precaution.
Unless, you know, in case something happened to Obama's plane, the mother would still be around.
You know, this is how the sometimes it's the way people with families think.
Uh there's something creepy about this, though, folks.
I must admit, I am stunned.
I am shocked.
I am I'm uh I'm I'm not speechless, that never happens, but they took separate chartered flight, because you know she didn't fly commercial.
And no way she was gonna fly.
So they chartered two airplanes.
She gets in, has to have gotten in early.
She's waiting for him in the limo.
He gets off the airplane waving singularly.
Very, very creepy.
And he gets in a limo and she's there.
And in their drive, and they have oh, you know, well, I know she was in the same limo because they got out together.
But there was a decoy limo as well.
This folks, do you not admit that this is strange?
This is very creepy.
This is uh this is strange behavior, even for the creature that Obama has uh created here.
Man, I didn't snurly, where did you hear that?
I have not seen that anyway.
A piece story buried, little paragraph buried in an AP story.
I cannot believe that I missed that.
Well, I've I've uh I've been so shocked and stunned over the news that Mr. and Mrs. Obama arrived on separate chartered aircraft.
Uh One thing we have not referenced upon hearing this news is the size of the carbon footprint created by two people.
I mean, he could have chartered a smaller.
Why do you have to charter an MD-80 at seats 120 when he and maybe three others are the only people aboard?
Why do you have to do that?
I I thought that was strange in and of itself yesterday.
Anyway, brief timeouts.
Sit tight, coming right back with much more after this.
Okay, now I understand.
Now it makes sense, ladies and gentlemen.
Here are the details.
Michelle Obama flew in on her own charter jet early because she had a runner.
I knew she was going to go see the private schools.
I just thought she would do that after the White House meeting, but she got there in the morning and she visited two private schools that the Obamas are contemplating sending her to little girls to.
Then she met up with Obama at the airport, already in the limo.
Nobody knew she was there.
And then they get out of the limo together after Obama arrives alone from Chicago on his chartered MD-80.
And about that, Dr. Roy Spencer, official climatologist here to the EIB network, says, wait a minute, Rush, you're being too hasty in judging Obama's carbon footprint.
After all, he could have chartered a DC 10.
He could have chartered a 747, and he chose a very small and tiny MD-80.
He his theory will be that he saved a uh a carbon footprint.
Actually, I think I know what what the reason for this.
You if you fly a corporate jet into Washington National, by the way, you you couldn't get a DC-10 or a 747 in there to runways it's too short.
But if you fly a corporate jet, even today into uh Washington National, it's more trouble than it's worth.
The first thing you have to do is you have to have a sky marshal aboard.
Even if you're just going yourself, you have to have a sky marshal aboard.
If there isn't a sky marshal at the airport you're departing from, you have to stop at an airport and pick up the sky marshal and then go to Washington National.
Then you have they give you a 30-minute window of your arrival time, and if you don't make the 30-minute window for whatever reason, they'd send you back.
And then when you and by the way, when the air marshal gets aboard your airplane, you have to get off.
You have to do the entire security check as though it were a commercial flight.
You have to get off, you have to get the wand waving, you have the pockets inspected, go through a metal detector just to get on your own airplane.
They well, that's the I'm maybe he didn't have to do all this chartering an airliner's technically not a corporate jet.
Beats me.
I don't know.
Given the guy benefit of the doubt here, it makes no sense to charter an MD-80 unless you're big time in it.
He could have easily gotten in there in something smaller that goes in there all the time and uses less runway than a DC 9 does or an MD-80.
So anyway, the the Michelle My Bell Obama uh goes and checks out the uh the screws, and she also stayed later.
He flew back alone.
She then flew back alone.
Creepy.
Just creepy.
Very thonge, as they would say in John Kerry's France.
Very staunch.
I um I it's very, very weird, folks.
Very, very, very creepy that uh that this happened.
By the way, this private school bill.
Oh, we got time for soundbiter too.
Here we do before he uh end this segment.
Uh, you gotta hear this.
Last night on Campbell Brown, no bias, no bull on CNN, a panel discussion.
Sally Quinn had this to say.
Number five.
The energy's already here.
You can't imagine it.
Not only from a social point of view, but from a political point of view and from foreign policy point of view that this is the most electric place I can imagine being right now.
I've never felt anything like it in my life since the Kennedys were here.
I told you!
I told you I predicted yesterday.
Uh, ladies and gentlemen, that this would be the case.
Now, if Camelot is back, I want to know which black civil rights leaders are gonna get wiretapped.
Just like Robert Kennedy wiretapped, Martin Luther King here is on the same panel, Douglas Brinkley asked if this will be the second coming of the Kennedys.
I think so.
The thought of young people back in the White House, a bit of joy during these very grim times.
There's a great um feeling of history in the air right now, and everybody wants to be in Washington for the inaugural.
The rooms are sold out.
I'm expecting just uh one of the the most exciting inaugurals in American history.
Presidential historian Douglas Brinkley following Sally Quinn uh suggesting this is so exciting, I haven't been this excited, I haven't seen anything like this, felt anything like this in my life since the Kennedys were here.
So Camelot is back.
And as I said, Mr. Sturtley, which black civil rights leaders are gonna get wiretapped first since Camelot is back.
Just got a note from a friend.
Rush, rush, if Camelot's back, does that mean the mob is gonna be returning as well?
Yes.
People may as well be the mob.
