To quote Jack Buck when Kirk Gibson hit a home run for the Los Angeles Dodgers who uh win a World Series game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
I don't believe what I just saw.
Housing, new home purchases in California are up sixty-five percent.
As we head into the worst recession in 26 years, according to the Financial Times.
New home sales, or home sales in general, not new home, home sales up 65%.
Half of the home sales come from foreclosure resales.
How can that be?
I'll tell you how that can be.
The prices have come down.
The bubble in the housing market and home values is finally leveling off here, and people are finding opportunities to buy houses, even in California.
Shill Zayam.
Welcome, folks, Rush Limbaugh, the EIB network.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
Our telephone number is 800-282-2882, the email address, L Rushbo at EIBNet.com.
Joe Biden was in Seattle.
And ABC News, Matthew Jaffe has the story.
Senator Joe Biden yesterday guaranteed that if elected, Obama will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power.
And he'll need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, possibly unpopular decisions.
That reminds me.
One more thing.
Everybody is forgetting the second thing that I said to Jonathan Martin yesterday about the Powell nomination, and it's this.
Because Powell said that Obama's a transformational figure.
And the world would celebrate and all that rigamarole.
So I said, you know, I wasn't aware of Powell's dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Leto, Anthony Kennedy, Antonin Scalia.
I guess he also regrets Ronald Reagan naming him, making him a four-star general, and uh President Bush naming him Secretary of State.
H. W. Bush naming him chairman of the Joint Chiefs.
Yeah, let's hear it for transformational figures, meaning Reagan was a transformational figure, meaning H. W. Bush was a transformational figure, meaning George W. Bush was a transformational figure.
Obama a transformational figure.
What?
Is he a transformational figure on?
Nothing but his race.
There's nothing about Obama policy that's transformational.
Unless you want to say full-fledged, unadulterated, undiluted socialism in the United States is transformational.
So Biden's out there guaranteeing that the world's gonna test the rookie.
The world's gonna test this little guy.
The world is gonna test the Messiah.
And when I heard Biden say this, wait a minute, Joe.
I thought you guys are telling us that Obama's election means the world's all gonna love us again.
That nobody's gonna have any animus towards us whatsoever.
There won't be any to test us to test Obama.
I thought they were gonna love us.
I thought Obama's election alone would restore our standing in the world.
Colin Powell said the same thing on Meet the Press yesterday.
Here's a little bit of what uh of what Biden had to say.
It sounded like what is it, 26 yesterday in Seattle at a fundraiser.
Mark my words.
Within the next first six months of this administration, if we win, they're gonna we're gonna face a major international challenge.
Because they're gonna want to test him just like they did young John Kennedy.
They're gonna want to test him.
And they're gonna find out this guy's got steel in his spine.
Really?
Okay, well, we're all comforted by this.
He's gonna steal in his spine.
But I guess Biden is keep in mind what Biden has said.
Biden has said that it's patriotic to pay higher taxes.
And now he said the country will face an international crisis only if Obama's elected.
Note what he didn't say.
He didn't say that we'll face an international crisis if McCain is elected.
So we can assume Joe Biden says no international crisis if McCain is elected.
Well, that's what he said.
No international crisis if we elect McCain.
Obama gets elected, bamboo.
I guarantee you, buddy, we gotta we wait with the first six months, we're gonna have international crisis.
So wonder McCain will get lower taxes, not higher.
And apparently, according to Biden, we'll have a far more peaceful world.
McCain's already been tested.
No one's gonna mess with him, according to Biden.
Higher taxes, attacks on our country, attacks on an ally, Biden says the world's gonna test O'Biden, Obama, hell, these guys are screwing.
Confusing me now.
Oh, Biden, Obama.
So what's it gonna be, folks?
China gonna try to take Taiwan, North Korea, both of them.
Russia gonna take over a bordering country or two?
Will Iran make its move against Israel?
Or will it be all of the above?
Don't know, but Biden is guaranteeing this.
And, you know, that's a fair price.
I guess a fair price for electing an inexperienced little guy like Obama to run our elections.
Wants Aikardon to run the elections.
Can't wait to send her surrender in Iraq, by the way.
Can't wait to proclaim defeat in Iraq.
Colin Powell said, I don't like, I don't like Palin, but I do love Biden.
Biden's ready to be president on day one.
Well, my question is this does Powell agree that the price for electing Obama is a world crisis?
Biden is stating this as a fact beyond dispute.
He says this is a guarantee that we are to mark my words.
Do you realize the import of this?
And then Biden said this.
He's gonna need help.
Obama's gonna need help.
And the kind of help he's gonna need is he's gonna need you.
Not financially.
We're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community to stand with him because it's not gonna be apparent initially.
It's not gonna be apparent that we're right in dealing with the international crisis.
Now what this is creepy, creepy stuff.
And everybody's out there going, wow, this is so honest.
I can't believe they're telling us how bad it's gonna be.
This is one thing that lives love.
They want everybody to be told how rotten things are gonna be, how rotten things are, how much worse they're gonna get.
That's honesty.
That's reality.
There is no future for America.
Our best days are behind us.
Obama said so in Berlin.
And now Biden's guaranteeing an international incident.
Maybe more.
And then he's telling us that what Obama's first reaction may not look like it's right, but you gotta hang in with us.
You have to support us.
It's up to you, folks.
Are you gonna take this risk?
Here's some other things that Biden said.
Some of this stuff is just great.
I I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate.
Uh mention the Middle East and Russia's possibilities.
He's gonna need help.
The kind of help he's gonna need, he's gonna need you.
We're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community to stand with him because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right.
I've forgotten more.
Listen to this.
I've forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know.
So I'm not being falsely humble with you.
I think I can be value added, but this guy has it, Biden said of Obama.
This guy has it.
But he's gonna need your help.
Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now saying, oh my God, why are they down there in the polls?
Why is the polling on Obama so low?
Why is this thing so tough?
We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years, so I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us.
Remember the faith you had at this point, because you're gonna have to reinforce us.
So Biden's basically saying the stuff that's gonna happen after Obama's elected and the stuff that's gonna happen to the country, we're gonna stink.
We're gonna be stinking up the sewer.
Our poll numbers are gonna be so bad.
Just remember the love that you have for us right now, a six months from now to two years from now, when you really hate us, when you really realize we don't know what we're doing, we had no idea what we're doing, we had no idea how to deal with any of this.
Remember how much you loved us two years ago.
We're gonna need that kind of support.
Now, if you're Obama and you've just got through digesting the wonderfulness of the of the Powell endorsement, then you hear that you're you're your highly esteemed, really, really brilliant.
Vice presidential nominee is out there guaranteeing a world crisis in six months, and guaranteeing that Obama's poll numbers are gonna be in the sewer, and begging people for support when all this happens.
What is your reaction?
You probably say, could I get Sarah Palin on my ticket?
We'll take a break.
We'll come back.
Your phone calls are next after this.
Stay with us.
You know, we have been wondering here on the EIB network, as have you uh out there in broadcast land.
What is this change Obama keeps talking about?
Going to bring change and all these.
Well, what is it?
We now know.
Senator Biden has let the cat out of the bag.
Change means things are going to get worse.
He just said it.
And by the way, Powell said it yesterday on Meet the Press yesterday.
Said I would I would start with talking to the American people and talking to the world, conveying a new image of American leadership, a new image of America's role in the world.
The problem's always going to be there, and there's going to be a crisis come along in the 21st or 22nd of January.
We don't even know about right now.
So I think the president has to do is start using the power of the Oval Office, the power of his personality to convince the American people and the world that America's solid.
He's doing the opposite.
General Powell.
He's telling the world that we are not living up to our best, that we are not solid.
You just endorsed a guy who's gotten where he is by running down the country, and now the vice president candidate for Obama has told us what change is.
Things get worse.
And by the way, General Powell, is is Sarah Palin not also a transfer uh transitional and transformational figure?
Is her campaign not also historic?
General Powell puts her down, said nothing of the vicious attacks on her, nothing of her experience, which is much greater than Obama's, but he's all concerned about McCain's campaign against Obama.
This was not, if you ask me, one of General Powell's finest hours, ladies and gentlemen.
The logic that he used in announcing his decision is really Swiss cheese.
It is it is just full of holes.
Now I want to go through since Biden said that we're going to be tested.
That we're going to be tested.
He said, I Obama's going to be, he's got a spine of steel.
He's going to be tested.
Our numbers are going to go way down.
And our response to what this international incident or incidents is going to be very you're not going to think we're doing the right thing at first.
I want you to hang in there and support us, all right.
Al Qaeda has a history of testing all of our new leaders.
World Trade Center, 1993, Al Qaeda tested Clinton, we failed.
Mogadishu, 1994, Al Qaeda tested Clinton, we failed.
Cobar Towers, 1996, Al Qaeda tested Clinton, we failed.
The Kenya-Tanzania Embassy bombing.
Al Qaeda tested us, we failed.
The 2000 bombing, U.S. coal.
Al Qaeda tested Clinton.
We failed.
9-11, Al Qaeda tested Bush.
We passed.
We haven't been hit since.
March 11th, 04, the Madrid bombings.
Al Qaeda tested Spain.
Spain failed.
August 2008, Al Qaeda tested Canadian Stephen Harper killed Canadians.
They announced a pull out from Afghanistan in 2011.
Canadians failed.
August 2008.
Al Qaeda tested Sarkozy by killing eleven French paratroopers.
Sarkozy passed and said we wouldn't surrender in Afghanistan.
And there are numerous other examples.
We could throw in here the potential tests.
You throw Israel on the uh on the board and uh Venezuela's any China, what might China do?
What might Russia do?
And Biden's basically promising.
All right to the phones to Redlands, California.
We're going to start, Matt, with you.
It's great to have you on the EIB network today, sir.
Hello.
Rush, it's an honor to speak with you.
Thank you very much, sir.
Rush, I agree with Joe Biden's recent statement that if we elect Barack Obama, that will guarantee that America's enemies will uh test Obama's youth and inexperience with uh crisis.
And the election of Obama would probably probably guarantee a war between Israel and Iran within the next two months, because many Israeli politicians and military leaders have publicly stated that if Obama is elected, Israel's gonna have to bomb Iran's nuclear weapons facilities before Bush leaves office on January 20th.
Because Israel knows that it cannot depend on a weak leader like Obama to support it if it goes to Iran.
So the election of Obama will probably guarantee a war between Israel and Iran within the next two months.
Then Obama would have to come into power.
We could have three wars going on.
We could have a war Afghanistan, Iraq, and we could end up in war with uh um Iran.
And Obama with three wars going on, that would be just great.
What do you think, Rush?
Well, uh, I have to defer to Senator Biden, and I don't think he could disagree with anything you said here.
Uh he said it's uh it's it's all on the table, it's all a possibility, and it's it's gonna be so bad that the numbers are gonna plunge and uh Biden wants all the people that love Obama and himself now to remember this day and support them regardless.
So I think uh it's it's a fairly good analysis uh had had had you called and said this today without Senator Biden providing the insight on the possible, I would have thought you were a loony tune.
You know, I would I would have thought you were a full-fledged kook trying to toy around with the host of this program, but I have to say uh your analysis given Senator Biden's insight on this, and as he said, he has forgotten more foreign policy than most of his colleagues know.
Uh I'd have to say that you're right on the money here.
Well, well, Rush, this isn't just some far right theory that the world can be in such a dangerous place.
Now we have uh Obama's own DP promising us that the world's gonna get more dangerous, promising that Obama will cause international crisis.
We know John McCain.
He's admitting that John McCain will keep things safe and stable.
I can't believe Biden is he admitted the truth that we conservatives have been saying.
Thanks, Joe.
We appreciate you admitting the truth that I was trying to get back to.
I love the guy.
I'm glad you know they've they've had they've had Michelle Obama up in the Waldorf, obviously eating hors d'oeuvres all this time, Iranian caviar and uh Bollinger champagne from the U.K. and all those um all those lobsters.
Uh I got I thought they had duct tape on her mouth, but obviously not.
She's but she's able to ingest and swallow food that she orders from room service.
And I I glad they let b Biden out of the pad itself too, because I missed him.
You know, they they we we we've we've missed Biden on out there, and he's he's now back in full-fledged glory and uh doing a genuine service to the country by informing us what's ahead if Obama is elected.
And by the way, folks, no, I do not believe it's a setup.
I I don't believe Biden saying this, so that when six months goes by and there is no international incident, they can say, wow, the world really loves us now.
The world I I I think it's just the exact opposite.
I think I don't think this is a a rope-dope uh type type move.
This is a head emoff at the pass move.
You know, this this is okay.
We know we're gonna catch hell here.
And what Biden is saying, we know the world's gonna test this little punk because he has no experience, and he's only 47 years old.
And we also know that he was hoping for defeat in Iraq.
So the rest of the world's gonna say, hey, you want your country to lose?
Here's another chance.
Try this.
And see what he does.
That's probably a good possibility.
Uh Marisol in Little Havana down in Miami.
Nice to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hi, Rush.
It's an honor to speak to you today in megadidto.
Thank you.
I was wondering if Senator Government um will live by his obvious ideology and distribute his um campaign funds to all the other politicians that are running that haven't um received as much.
You know, you're th this this is an excellent point.
I had a note to myself on this about all the money that Obama raised September 150 million dollars in September.
Now, what bad economy?
Where's all this money coming from?
Do you know that's that that's at the rate of if you run the numbers on that?
Twelve times 150 million could be well, that's gonna be it's gonna be over a billion.
If it that rate it would be over a billion dollars a year, I think, or close to it.
Uh I just uh uh course he's not gonna share the wealth.
In fact, in fact, folks, if you recall, Dingy Harry called Obama and said, Hey, could you give us some of your unspent cash to help us with a Democrat senatorial campaign committee, and Obama said, no, Dingy Harry, no.
Obama doesn't share anything.
You're gonna share folks, liberals don't use their own money for things.
Thanks, Marisol, very much.
Tim in San Diego, hello, sir, EIB network, you're next.
Tim in San Diego.
Going once, going twice, Tim in San Diego.
Hello, Mrs. Tim.
Yeah, Tim, nice to have you.
Welcome to the program.
Thanks very much, Rush.
Okay.
Uh I'm gonna go quickly because I do have two things I want to talk to you about.
You mentioned recently that we should all remember that this time four years ago, Bush was down by eleven points in the police.
Well, you know, I'd love to hear an audio montage of the various pundits and Democrats on the last election cycle saying that Bush didn't have a chance to beat Kerry, or you know, Gore for that matter.
To me, I think it would be very encouraging for conservatives to hear liberals in their own voices wrongly predicting predicting the election outcomes.
Because they love to bury their false prophecies, but I think if you were to dig them up and play them every day until the election, it would be uh just very encouraging to the to the listeners.
Not a bad idea, sir.
Thank you.
Uh now the other thing is that well, for instance, even their own people, they they were saying, you know, Gore will defeat Bush, Kerry will defeat Bush, Hillary is going to defeat Obama in the primaries.
And if okay, hang on just a second.
I got a break.
Hang on, we'll get we'll finish this, we come back.
Don't uh go away.
Rush Limbaugh with talent on lawn from a god uh kicking off uh brand new and full week of broadcast excellence back to Tim and San Diego.
Got one idea from you out of the way.
What's the second?
Okay, well, uh and just real quickly with the the previous idea there, you know, uh whether it was uh when we took back the House in the Senate or the Clinton years, or Bush winning twice, or you know, even that Hillary was gonna guarantee to win the primaries, they're always wrong.
And so if I don't know if you have access to these clips, but if you do, I just think it would be really helpful because if Bush was down by eleven points and our guys down by less than five points, then we definitely have a chance to win this uh this victory.
Okay, point number two.
Yes.
I called you about a year ago to lobby you to have Bo Snerdly added to your roster of guest hosts.
Now at the time you thought I was a stupid idiot, and you said, Well, who knows what might come out of his mouth as he was unleashed on the public airwaves.
And yet if we fast forward about eight or nine months, who is the official Obama criticizer of the EIB network?
Well, none other than Mr. Bo Snerdly himself.
So it took you a little while to come around and see the wisdom of my thinking, but you eventually did.
And not a lot of people can claim to change the mind of Rush Limbaugh.
Well, I'll tell you what.
I'll tell you what I'm going to do.
The next time, since you're the one with all the great ideas, the next time I'm going, we're going to call you.
To be guest host, and you can put together all those montages, and uh you can do the show yourself.
Who's next?
Alan in Memphis.
Welcome to the EIB network, sir.
Hello.
Well, thank you, Rush.
It really is an honor.
I appreciate that, sir.
Thank you.
And I know, but I still appreciate it.
Well, I want to say that while concentrating on my EIB doctoral thesis here recently, I realize that Obama's even lying when he talks to Joe the plumber.
He talks about wanting to spread the wealth around, but what in actuality is going to be he's going to be spreading the poverty around.
And the risk uh redistribution of wealth.
I'm afraid this distribution of poverty that we're going to have will look a lot more like East Europe instead of West Europe.
Well, this is i i I I don't call it spreading poverty around, but the the bottom line is that when you tax the golden goose or the golden geese, you destroy the production.
You destroy the productivity, you destroy that which is creating the wealth.
Obama has made it plain that that's his objective.
He wants the government to be distributing wealth.
He wants the government to be thought of as the source of wealth.
This is this is uh uh I don't think there's any mistake about look a socialist is a socialist.
You know, there's there there aren't any there aren't any grades or degrees of socialists, so you're a socialist or you're not.
And he is.
And this Joe the Plumber business, folks, just again to illustrate this.
Everybody, I think, including me, at first missed the point here.
I mean, we were correct in pointing out that it wasn't what Joe the Plumber asked that was the question.
It was what Obama's answer was, but it was even worse than that.
It was it's not about how quickly the Obama team and the willing accomplices in the drive-by media were able to shut down Joe the Plumber, at least try to, to mock him, make fun of him, investigate him, demonize him.
Uh uh you know, they this they they did everything a mob hit would do except throw him in the river with a cement swimsuit.
Yet the issue is bigger than Joe the plumber.
It's bigger than Obama's lame answer.
It's bigger than Obama's attack machine because what the left tells us or told us with with this little incident with Joe the Plumber is they say they're gonna go after the super rich, but what they're really gonna go after is achievers, period, no matter who you are, no matter where you are.
If you achieve at anything, particularly financially, you are looked at as somebody who has more than you need.
And if you have more than you need, they're going to be the arbiters of how much you need, and they're going to try to take everything else above what they think you need and redistribute it.
Now, one of the things that supposedly guides this is this notion of fairness.
And it's a it's a trick.
Fairness is what they say, because who's for unfairness?
Nobody is for unfairness.
It's the same thing with the environmentalist wackos saying that all they're about is clean air and clean waters.
Well, who's for dirty water and dirty air?
Nobody.
Except animals who don't know the difference.
But in this case, fairness.
So it's just, it's it's not fair that so many people have more and so many people have less, and we want to try to equalize things so that everybody is happier.
And it's only fair to do this.
There are people that have more than they need, but that's not what this is.
You have to understand the fairness is just the trick.
Fairness is just the route into people's minds to get them to go along with this.
What this is really all about is an expanding, ever expanding government with more and more control over more and more aspects of individual lives.
The more of you they can make dependent on them, where are you gonna go?
What are you gonna do?
And if it becomes punitive for you to succeed, if there are so many regulations imposed and so many penalties imposed on your success, at some point you get to the why work if it's if most of it's gonna be taken from me, regardless what's done with it, if it's given to somebody else, if it stays in the government to grow this and grow, why what was the point?
What's the point of going to the hassle taking a risk of hiring people if at the end of the day my business is no better off and I'm no better off than before I started it.
And this is the aim.
The overall aim is elites versus common.
They are all the elites, they'll take care of themselves, they'll be living fat, dumb, and happy lives, like Michelle Obama sitting up there in suite 23M of the Waldorf Towers with her hors d'oeuvres and her lobster and her champagne.
And you're gonna be out there uh begging for crumbs and hoping that what you end up with is uh is sufficient.
And they've got a lot of people that uh they they think you know their health care paid for in this way and so forth.
It's this is this is what they're all about.
So they got you thinking they're gonna go for the super rich.
They're gonna go for everybody.
They're gonna go for the achievers.
And that, and by the way, they're even gonna go for people who dream of achieving.
And that was Joe's great sin.
Joe the plumber's great sin was having a dream to improve his life.
They had to go destroy this guy.
They will not research any of Obama's relationships or any of his alliances.
They will cover them up, but they will go out and they will destroy an average citizen.
And what happened here?
It took a plumber to flush out Obama's true economic philosophy.
It took a plumber to illustrate to America that Obama's ideas do not hold water.
And more than that, it took a plumber to open the dam of resentment that has been under the surface for decades toward the media.
These people, these hardworking Americans are trying to play by the rules, jump through all the hoops that governments have placed in front of them, do not like to see a powerful political figure insult, belittle, and mock an average citizen.
And they don't like the media ganging up on this poor guy.
If the Joe the Plumbers of the world all laid down their wrenches and their hammers and their nails and their scissors and their trimmers and their saws and their tractors, if they all stopped getting calloused hands, sore backs and eyes full of sweat from their hard work, the country wouldn't last a month without the Joe the Plumbers of the world.
I'll tell you what, the media that there was a there was a, I guess somewhere I have this story in the stack here, the media just got unloaded on by people at a um at some sort of a fundraiser somewhere.
The media just unloaded on David Korn, wherever he works now, and the media for going after Joe the Plumber and not going after Bill Ayers.
So Joe the Plumber finally unloaded on that.
He just unleashed this damn DAM of resentment that people have had against the media.
And I'll tell you something, you know, all this all this this jive talk about people at at Palin rallies and McCain rallies shouting kill him and all this.
We know that the drive-by reporter from Scranton made it up.
But if there are any people out there shouting at anybody, I will bet you it's people shouting at the media, not about Obama.
And this has been a godsend.
The media has has they they they've discovered how disrespected they are, how angry people are at them at these McCain rallies.
And even when they're not at rallies, just when the when the when the media shows up to cover some event someplace, uh if it's in the right part of the country, the uh the people are unloading on them now.
There is anger and all of this, all of this has been ginned up by Joe the Plum, an average American who simply has a dream of achieving that the Obama campaign, including its media supporters, have to destroy.
Back in a second.
Now look at here, folks.
I don't know how this is possible.
Somebody's gonna have to explain this to me.
Gasoline prices, this is by the way, AP Obama, gasoline prices tumble despite likely OPEC output cuts.
Consumers got another break at the gas pump today.
Prices dropped further below three dollars a gallon and approached year-ago levels, even as the near certainty of an OPEC production cut pushed oil prices marginally higher.
Chakib Khalil, president of the uh OPEC gang, said that members plan to announce a substantial output cut at an extraordinary meeting that begins Friday in Vienna.
Quick, where's Vienna?
Pop quiz.
Austria, right?
A lot of people think it's in sausage.
But it's in uh it's it's in it's in Austria.
So gasoline prices are coming down.
Isn't this interesting too?
Uh where are the investigations?
Where are the investigations of big oil trying to tamper with the election, obviously?
Where's the investigation of all the speculators?
Obviously trying to tamper with the election.
How can these prices that was come down from 147 to 72 dollars a barrel?
How can this happen?
Who benefits from this?
We need big oil back up there to explain this.
Isn't it interesting how it never happens when the prices come down?
Here is uh John in uh Cosby, Tennessee.
John, welcome to the Rush Limbaugh program.
Hello, sir.
Hey, thanks, Rush, for the opportunity.
Yes, sir.
Uh I've got a couple questions for Biden.
You know, he was talking about this looming international challenge, and we're gonna have to hang in there with Obama when the going gets tough.
That's right.
That's right.
Well, why in the world didn't the Democrats do that in Iraq?
Why didn't they want to hang in with a country?
Yeah.
Well, they love Obama, don't like the country.
Uh they will love the country when Obama's running it, but uh they they will they don't love the country when Obama's not running it.
I guess.
Is this is this Biden's way of saying to the terrorists also just bring it on?
Well, it is interesting.
One of the things that happened is you know, there's all this uh uh chatter here about the the world being such a dangerous place, which still stuns me.
I mean, if we're on the verge of electing the Messiah and the rest of the world's gonna love us, I don't know what the concerns here are.
But nevertheless, with the world in such volatility and instability, it turns out that last week both campaigns were given foreign policy briefings as part of advanced transition procedures.
And as part of the foreign policy briefing, I'm sure that both campaigns were told what the hot spots are around the world and you know what the best guess from our intelligence agencies is.
And Lord knows, I'll bet you uh Biden heard about it, and he's out there in a way bragging about what he knows without saying what it is.
I'm an important guy.
I was a he didn't say this, of course.
He didn't say I was out there in a transition meeting and they told me X he wouldn't do that, but now he's out on a stump guaranteeing something.
Yeah, I think I think it's code language to the terrorists saying, I dare you.
No, it's not.
I'm just kidding.
No, I'm just kidding.
But I mean, that's how you know if they if they can twist our words around, you know, it's a fair game, isn't it?
I agree.
I agree, but you you you understand where their loyalties are.
Their loyalties are to their party, not the country.
It really is that simple.
I know that sounds very, very tough to say.
It's true.
I mean, there somebody needs to ask General Powell, what about surge, the surge work?
What about General Petraeus?
What about the ad that Obama's people ran against David Petraeus?
You're a military man.
What do you think of that campaign tactic, General Powell?
But of course, uh Tom broke off and Jurassic Park did not go there.
But Biden's right.
I mean, we got to admit Biden's right.
We're about to find out just how much world peace has been maintained by a powerful USA.
We're about to find this out.
Well, I'll tell you what I mean.
Our military strength and determination to support democracy and peace worldwide to deny totalitarian regimes the opportunity to spread like a cancer is not fully understood.
In fact, too many people his country look at that as being provocative, none of our business.
The election of Obama is a break in the dam of stability around the world.
Biden said the world's gonna test Obama, not a country.
He said the world is gonna test Obama.
If not for the United States does Israel exist, if not for the United States, does Europe exist as we know it.
If not for the United States does Taiwan exist, or North South Korea, Colombia.
The United States has created and maintained an umbrella of security around the world.
Obama's viewed as somebody unwilling to maintain it.
That's what Biden's telling us.
Biden's telling us that the world's looking at Obama, a new president, probably not going to be as vigilant in protecting allies as previous presidents have.
If the United States is to judge just to be a paper tiger, just watch what happens.
Weakness invites aggression.
And Biden, for all of the things he doesn't understand, at least got that one right.
Obama will be tested by the world.
But Israel will not see it as an Obama test.
They're gonna see it as their survival.
And ditto a half dozen other countries on the low side.
Vulnerable countries are not excited about Obama.
They depend on a strong and committed United States to maintain the peace, and they're not gonna have the confidence they can do that with Obama at the helm.
Everybody knows Obama has no mention or intention, rather, of maintaining peace through strength.
And if there's not peace, we don't have trading partners.
Peace and and and robust economy go hand in hand.
But peace is not achieved through appeasement.
Peace is not achieved through weakness.
And Obama is viewed to be weak.
That's what Biden's telling us, folks, with this promise with this guarantee that we're gonna be tested.
Here's Valerie in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Hi, Valerie, welcome to the EIB network.
It is very much a pleasure, sir.
Thank you.
Mr. Powell referred to Obama as a transformational figure, but he didn't specify as to whether the Obama presidency would require him to transform governments to transform or our lives to transform.
Well, you're taking it much farther than what General Powell meant.
Really?
Yeah, transformational simply means the transformational means that we're gonna we're finally gonna get over our days of slavery, and uh a majority of people will elect black guy president.
That's what's transformational.
Because it's not his policies.
Policies aren't transformational.
His policies are every bit as liberal as any of the world's ever seen, and nothing knew about them.
Well, you just made me feel a lot better.
Because I really thought that a lot of things are going to have to transform in there in order for him to be the president.
Well, I mean, things can transform to the worst.
That's exactly what I'm talking about.
Okay.
Transform transformational figure.
That term is being thrown around as though messianic.
All kinds of great new things, just change and so forth, but transformational can be bad as well.
Why is Palin not transformational?
You know, why is it why is it only Obama?
That that proves whether for the rest of you in the media, if you didn't hear it this first time, the Powell nomination of Obama is about race.
R A C E. It is about race, and you can quote me.
Bill Ayers has happened on Friday, has been canceled at the University of Nebraska.
