Time Text
Yeah, yeah, I know.
I'm looking for the race stack.
Ah, there it is.
Okay, good.
Because that's a second thing coming up in this hour.
Greetings, my friends.
Welcome back.
El Rushbo and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network, the nation's happiest, the nation's most cheerful, optimistic radio program going.
What are you laughing at, Brian?
Oh, I'm totally optimistic about this.
You don't see me cashing it in and moving to behind the gates, do you?
800-282-2882.
If you'd like to be on the program, the email address, lrushbo at eibnet.com.
Woody Allen, who would be a great symbol for the social policies of the Democrat Party, was over at some posh lakeside or oceanside resort in Spain at a movie screening thing.
Film festival.
And he said it would be a disgrace and a humiliation if Barack Obama does not win.
It would be a very, very terrible thing for the United States in many, many ways.
Woody Allen said that Obama is so much better than McCain.
It represents a huge step upward from the incompetence and misjudgment of the Bush administration.
It would be a terrible thing if the American public was not moved to vote for him, that they actually preferred more of the same.
And AP has this little poll they came out with.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
That's what I'm saying.
It is speaking of incest and his daughter, wife, and so forth.
How's Woody doing with his daughter that he married?
That's why I say he's a poster child for Democrat Party social policies.
But no, snurdly, this is all good.
This is all good.
Democrats think this is helping them.
The left thinks this is, if I'm Obama, if I have any sense at all, every time I read something like this, I'm asking these guys, would you shut up?
Would you just shut up?
You're not helping me.
These polls on how one-third of blue-collar white Democrats won't vote for Obama because he's black.
And by the way, he's not black.
Do you know he has not one shred of African-American blood?
He doesn't have any African...
That's why they asked whether he was authentic, whether he's down for the struggle.
He's Arab.
You know, he's from Africa.
He's from Arab parts of Africa.
He's not.
His father was not African-American.
The last thing that he is is African-American.
But I guess that's splitting hairs.
All these little things.
Everything seems upside down today in this country.
But before getting to all that, ladies and gentlemen, it's time now to go to the Spanish language presentation of the Obama lies and distortions about me in an ad on immigration that he is running in Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, and Nevada in Spanish.
These are racist ads.
This is an ad designed to foment racism.
This is an ad designed from the unifier to stoke racial disharmony in the country today.
He took two things that I said out of context.
It's important to understand they either heard what I said or read the transcripts.
They knew what I said.
They had to know what I said in order to take these things out of context.
They did it knowingly.
Obama's team did purposely.
Now, one of the things they had me saying was, Mexicans are stupid and unskilled.
Let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do the work.
And that was taken from a 1993 phone call in a monologue after I got a phone call from a guy who was upset about American jobs being lost.
And I said, We're talking about jobs that you know, stupid Americans, uneducated Americans won't do.
Let the stupid and uneducated Mexicans do them.
We're going to lose them anyway.
You don't want them.
The second thing they did, I did a commentary parody on Mexican immigration law in which I said, Shut your mouth and get out because the Mexican immigration law says you can't protest, you can't engage in Mexican politics if you're an immigrant.
Essentially, shut up and get out, shut up, or get out.
And they, in this ad, they had me saying both those things about illegal immigrants.
In neither case was I talking about, especially the first one was talking about illegal immigrants at all.
It was a NAFTA debate.
So it's one thing to mount a rapid response defense to this in English, but the target of these ads are Spanish-speaking people.
So I'm going to play everything I said in Spanish for Hispanic-speaking people all across the country.
Here, just to review, is the original ad.
Now, they did not voice my quotes that I just gave you.
They appear graphically on screen.
Soy, Barack Obama.
Yo a prebo estemenzáje.
All right.
That's the ad that is running.
The next is going to be the Spanish language version of this portion of my morning update from April 6th of 2006.
If you're unskilled and uneducated, actually, this is 1993.
This is from the response to a caller worried about U.S. jobs being lost because of NAFTA.
If you're unskilled and uneducated, your job is going south.
Skilled workers, educated people are going to do fine because those are the kinds of jobs NAFTA is going to create.
If we're going to start rewarding no skills and stupid people, I'm serious.
Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do, let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do the work.
This was from 1993, and a NAFTA debate.
Estoy serio.
Dejen quos Mexicanos estupidos y sina abilidar a trabajo.
There's the Spanish language version of what I did.
Now, here in Spanish is the entire morning update from 2006, which was taken out of context.

That is the Spanish language version of the April 2006 morning update citing Mexican immigration law.
Two more to go.
Now, this is a commentary from last Thursday where I explain why what Obama did in these ads is an insult to Hispanics.
Barack Obama is fraud.
Now, for those of you just joining us, you're wrong in the middle of this.
This is a Spanish language translation to Hispanics of things I have said over the years that have been taken into context in a Barack Obama ad.
We're trying to reach Hispanics all across the country who do not understand English and inform them just exactly who Obama is.
For you, Hispanics, this next is muy importante.
Muy, muy importante.
This is where I explain who Obama is using racist tactics, how he's doing it to divide people.
The mask has been removed.
This is muy, muy importante.
The inciting sentiment partidarios of rencor.
I know you're president.
Where do I hit one for English?
And it would have taken twice as long if I had given the English here before each one.
You already heard that all last week and constant repetitions of last week.
These translations in Spanish were for Hispanics.
And by the way, by the way, we're rushing.
You don't have any Hispanics listening.
Let me think.
You would be amazed to know how many drive-by media newspapers and blogs promoted this.
The LA Times did a whole write-up on the fact that this was coming today.
And it's a huge Spanish language market.
So, anyway, I just beg my indulgence here, but this is part of getting the truth out to people who don't speak English that Obama is targeting in a racist fashion.
We will be back.
Stay with us.
It just doesn't stop, ladies and gentlemen.
A British government minister has attacked Sarah Palin as horrendous at the Labor Party conference on Saturday.
The outburst from the community secretary Hazel Blears threatens to undermine Prime Minister Gordon Brown's determination for the British government to maintain a neutral position in the U.S. presidential election.
Speaking at a fringe meeting of the center-left party, the Labor Party, during its annual party conference in Manchester, Hazel Blears said Palin was capitalizing on people's disillusionment with regular politics.
I just think there's so much anti-politics, not just in this country, but around the world.
And one of the reasons Sarah Palin has been such a phenomenon is because she's anti-politics.
Her politics are horrendous.
But actually, she struck a chord with people.
I'm a maverick.
I'm not part of those powerful people.
And people identified with that.
So the elites are upset that Sarah Palin's not one of them and is identifying them correctly.
Also, the let's see, what else was Charlie Wrangell?
He apologized for it.
Said she was disabled.
Charlie Wrangel of all people said she was disabled.
She got a disabled child, said she was disabled.
I meant that she's not experienced in foreign policy when he apologized.
Meanwhile, while all this is going on, try these two headlines.
Because, well, you know, Obama's making a big deal out of the fact that McCain has 13 cars.
Have you heard about that?
So while Barry is worrying about how many cars McCain has, try these two headlines.
Chavez to buy Chinese combat planes.
Russian warships set off for Venezuela.
And there's another headline.
Russians to install missile defense system in Iran to help protect against any attack.
By the way, there's a poll, and I wonder why the drive-bys have not mentioned this.
I wonder why.
It's a poll taken by Kellyanne Conway and Celinda Lake for Lifetime Television.
McCain and Palin have closed a 34-point gap on women's issues.
Since picking Sarah Palin, McCain has obliterated what had been a 34-percentage point deficit in a poll of likely women voters on the question of which candidate has a better understanding of women and what's important.
The two are now effectively tied.
McCain's 44 to 42 percentage point lead in the July poll.
Women preferred Barack Obama 52 to 18.
It is now 44 to 42.
This is Celinda Lake, well-known, Kellyanne Conway, well-known pollsters for lifetime television.
Back after this.
People have been patiently waiting.
I am Mr. Patience El Rushball, meeting and surpassing all audience expectations with half my brain tied behind my back, just to make it fair.
South Windsor, Connecticut.
This is George.
You're up, sir.
Hello.
Yeah, Rush, I wanted to comment on why I think you're 100% right on the mortgage crisis.
And that is, there would be congressional hearings and investigations right now, just like they dragged the big oil CEOs in when they thought there was price gouging.
So why not bring in, why not investigate and have hearings on Fannie Mae?
Bring the CEO and ask him.
Amen.
Amen.
God love you.
Stand up.
Let them see you out there, George.
You know, oh, God, I'm sorry about that.
What am I doing?
Nobody can see him.
He's on the phone.
Oh, well.
Excellent point.
They're not going to be the investigations of this.
They want oversight of the bailout.
They want to be able to come in and say where some of this is going to go.
You are so right.
If the Democrats really wanted to get to the bottom of this, if you could trace this back to one Republican, if you could trace it back to Scooter Libby, if you could trace it back to Karl Rove, they would be because they'd be scheduling hearings last week.
Yep, absolutely.
All right.
Well, that's well done out there, George.
I appreciate that.
Jeff in Jacksonville, thank you for calling.
Hello, sir.
How are you doing, Rush?
Honor to speak with you.
I just got a question for you about that Saturday Night Live skit about picking on Sarah Palin.
Yeah.
Honestly, I saw it, and I thought it was something that you could have wrote yourself.
It was hilarious.
All it was doing was showing the ignorance of the Northeast media, liberal media, and how stupid they were of a laugh to life.
Let me ask you a question.
Sure.
Because I've had a couple other people tell me that they saw it, and that was their interpretation.
So my question to you would be: would you ever expect to see Saturday Night Live do such a parody with New York Times reporters sitting around discussing Barack and Michelle Obama and their two daughters and speculating that because they're from Chicago and because they're black, there has to be incest in that family?
I understand your point.
However, they wouldn't do the skit simply because the media in Chicago is very similar to media in New York.
That's not the point.
The point is the Times positioned this as the SNL did this, positioned this with New York Times reporters, and I know it made them look like they're racist and bigots because they'll ask his way out there, but they still got the subject matter of incest in Palin's family out there.
And if you put that in context cumulatively with all the other similar type insults at Sarah Palin, you have to understand that they wanted to kill two birds here with one stone, maybe.
And I don't think they did this to embarrass the New York Times.
Understood.
However, us right-wing Rush babies that you have as followers here, we at least have a sense of humor to look through their bias.
And it was still funny.
All right.
Look, I understand that.
And I'm not trying to act, you know, I'm not Pope Rush here on this.
I'm just saying the Democrats are, Saturday Night Live did not help themselves with this.
Do you think their audience, the Saturday Night Live audience, wants to see the New York Times parodied?
The people who watch the New York Times, I'm telling you, this had a dual purpose, and it would not have been said about any other political candidate.
It would not have been said.
And quite frankly, I'm glad they did it.
Not too many people saw it.
The ratings, I think, was a low, a seasonal for a long time for Saturday Night Live, so I'm happy to amplify the number of people who heard about it.
But I don't think this stuff helps them.
Even if it is cashed as humor and presented as humor, this is just, it fits systematically with the way the left has tried to tear down Sarah Palin, and people are going to hear it that way.
And this is open to line, whether it's funny or not.
It's just, you know, let me ask you, Jeff, are you still there by any chance?
Yes, I am.
Tell me the last incest joke you heard before you saw this on Saturday Night Live.
I guess it would be the Mormons.
I haven't heard that one.
You talking about, oh, you're talking about the polygamous munch down there in wherever they were with the Pioneer Babes?
Yeah, yeah.
Well, I didn't hear too many jokes about those either.
But, all right, good point.
Good answer.
You just don't hear them much.
You don't hear incest jokes much.
I mean, even on some of the most perverted nightly sitcoms, you know.
Here's Ben in Burlington, Iowa.
Hi, Ben.
Great to have you here.
Hey, Rush, Megadittos from the Midwest.
Thank you, sir.
Hey, you know, it really, really irks me.
You know, flipping through the channels yesterday, yesterday morning, getting ready for church, you know, and flipping through the channels.
And here we got Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank on national TV blaming everybody, blaming everybody else but themselves.
You know, and it's just like all it boils down to is common sense.
And these guys have absolutely no common sense whatsoever.
No, it's not that.
These guys are on a protection mission.
They're using cover from the drive-by media to help spread the word that capitalism caused this.
They know they've got friends in the drive-by media.
This is to counter any notion they had any responsibility in this.
I'm telling you, ladies and gentlemen, what ought to happen here?
Because this guy that called earlier, great call.
If the Republicans had any culpability here, there would be ongoing investigations now.
They would have started months ago, and the Democrats would have used those investigations to put some Republicans in jail, to force them to quit or what have you.
The fact that there haven't been any investigations proves that the Democrats know there is nobody but themselves to investigate.
So they go to their friendly accomplices on the Sunday shows for cover to blame everybody else for this and to present themselves as the great saviors, now the great protectors.
They're going to fix this.
The very guys who broke it, now going to embrace the whole thing as their own.
Barney Frank and Chris Dodd ought to resign from the committees that they are on in the House and the Senate.
These people are into it up to their necks, and it's no good.
Quick, before we have to hit the break, who's next?
Susan and Tallahassee.
Hey, Susan, nice to have you here.
Oh, Rush, I love hanging out with you every day.
Speaking of not funny, NBC last night, you know, on the Emmys.
ABC.
ABC, NBC was doing the Packers and the Cowboys.
Oh, shucks.
Okay, I was trying to blame it on them.
Well, anyway, the Emmys in the in-memorium section when they, you know, show everybody that it passed away.
And they had about 50 people.
And the one the second to last is Tim Russert and then George Carlin.
And they never, ever showed Tony Snow.
Did they?
I thought that was.
Well, no, wait, now I had read they were going to include Tony Snow in this roster of those who have left us this year.
I didn't watch it, but you say they didn't?
They did not.
You watched all 60 names?
You heard all 60 names, all 60 pictures, or whatever it was?
Yeah, and I rewound it twice to make sure, and they did not.
It was a disgrace.
Well, that's just, I'm puzzled because they said they were going to do that.
I promise, Rush, I rewound it to show my husband and my son.
All right.
Well, I'll take your word for it.
I didn't watch it.
But I'm not.
The only reason I'm surprised is because I read they were going to do it.
The fact that they didn't doesn't actually surprise me.
Oh, well.
We live in a sick society in certain places or what?
All right, I got to take a brief time out.
We come back.
AP on Friday and over the weekend ran a poll and a story accompanying the results of the poll.
White racists may cost Obama the election.
This was a poll of Democrats.
The views expressed by the host of this program, documented to be almost always right, 98.8% of the time.
The Associated Press ran a story.
This was September 20th.
This is Saturday.
Saturday morning.
I guess it ran Friday.
No, it ran Saturday morning.
I knew it happened over the weekend.
Of all times to run this and of all premises to do a poll on, racial views steer some white Democrats away from Obama.
Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House if the election is close.
According to an AP Yahoo News poll that found one-third of white Democrats, one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks, many calling them lazy, violent, or responsible for their own troubles.
The poll was conducted with Stanford University.
suggests the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama because of his race could easily be larger than the final difference between the candidates in 2004, about two and one-half percentage points.
They go on to say it might be as high as six percentage points.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, I saw this and it repulsed me.
I don't care who it is, Democrats, Republicans, AP to go out there on the premise.
See, they're setting the table.
If Obama loses, it has to be racism.
What's fascinating about this is they're setting it up that it'll be white Democrat racists.
Now, who are these white Democrat racists?
Well, they're blue-collar workers.
They are largely rural.
Some live in Pennsylvania, some live in Ohio, some live in Texas, some live in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama.
These are the Democrats that the Obama types are embarrassed to have in the same party.
These are the bitter clingers.
And I found this fascinating.
See how the media are virtually unanimous now in reporting how middle American Democrats are racists.
Isn't this exactly what Obama was intimating when he was talking to his billionaire buddies in San Francisco?
The media and Obama, now through the media, trying to win the presidency by labeling union members as racists.
Now, you feel, what's the strategy here?
What in the world is the strategy?
Why didn't they do a poll of Republican blue-collar workers and call them racists?
Well, if they'd have done that, they would have united the Republican base even more.
As I think what they're trying to do is shame these Democrats into, we know you're racists.
We know you hicks.
Even though you're Democrats, we know you're racist and we dare you not to be in this election.
Now, maybe, maybe this is Ron Fournier and his gang at AP.
Maybe, maybe they could be a little bit more specific.
Like exactly who in the Democrat Party is racist.
Tell us, media.
Tell us, Obama, who exactly are you talking about here?
I mean, I think if you come to the defense of working Democrats and Democrats in Middle America, that would be a, this is this, this is just, they're not doing that.
The Democrats always came to the defense of working Democrats, Democrats in Middle America.
I mean, Biden's out there flapping his gums about middle America and the middle class and so forth.
And the Democrats have just run a poll, well, AP Democrats, not much difference, saying that third of them are racist.
I think this is outrageous.
This is prejudice, and this is bigotry on the part of the drive-by meby to even come up with this premise.
I'll tell you, if I were one of you blue-collar white union member Democrats, you've got to look at this poll as Obama and the Associated Press identifying you as bigots.
The reason he's not going to win, they're calling you racist.
They're not calling Republicans racist.
They didn't do a poll on Republican bigots and racists.
They did a poll on Democrat racists and bigots.
And they found a whole lot of you.
They found enough of you that you could screw the election.
You could screw Obama out of winning the election.
If Obama loses, do you understand what AP and Obama have just said?
It's going to be you, Democrats, you racist, blue-collar, rural union member Democrats are being set up as the explanation for Barry Obama losing the election.
I just, I find this amazing.
This is a complete setup.
What this is, a complete setup and an attempt to shame because if Obama loses, we're going to be told it's time for a national reexamination of who and what we are.
You see this coming.
I can just see it.
They will rewrite the outcome not as a difference of policy and experience, but racism winning out over hope and change.
Oh, America, we're still mired in the muck of slavery.
We haven't changed it all.
We still suck as a nation.
This, folks, is as grotesque as it gets.
Meanwhile, whites will not be voting 95% for McCain.
Blacks will be voting 95% for Obama.
You know, I just, of course, you know, when you look at this poll and you read the whole thing, you see, the only reason this could possibly be even a close election is race.
Obama's not flawed.
His radicalism is not flawed.
His campaign's not flawed.
No, no, no, no.
I mean, his own racism and comments in San Francisco, of course, are ignored.
His racist appeals to Hispanics, those are ignored.
His sexist approach to Hillary and Palin.
But if he loses, it's only because we're such a racist country.
And we're going to have to reexamine who we are and what we are.
Now, the temptation here may be to demean white Democrats.
That would require accepting the nefarious premise of this entire disgusting media enterprise.
What they're saying is that blue-collar middle-class Democrats, the more moderate or conservative part of the Democrat Party, they were the Reagan Democrats, are a bunch of racists.
This is the liberal media turning on blue-collar union members and the like, the very people Obama smeared in San Francisco, trying to shame them into not being racists.
And then if Barry loses, again, it's the country's fault.
It's not because Obama's an empty suit.
It's not because Obama's unqualified.
It's not because we can't afford Obama.
It had nothing to do with Obama, his policies, his brilliance.
No, it'll all be because of race.
And the media will say, we knew it.
There hasn't been any changes whatsoever.
This country is still may as well be back in the 1800s.
I can hear it all now.
Okay, ladies and gentlemen, before we squeeze out of here and start prepping for tomorrow, while getting ready for Monday Night Football Legits and the San Diego Chargers, this poll, the AP Yahoo poll, used the unique methodology of Knowledge Networks, Menlo Park, California firm that interviews people online after randomly selecting and screening them over the phone.
That way they get anonymity and all this sort of thing.
And a lot of the people at Knowledge Networks are people who have been contributors to the John Edwards campaign, the John Kerry campaign.
It's a bunch of Democrats, it looks like, that are doing this.
All right.
You sit tight.
We'll be back in 21 hours.
Much more straight ahead when we get back.
Export Selection
