Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
From the EIB's Southern Command, it's Rush Limbaugh, and this is the one and only Excellence in Broadcasting Network.
And I am your host, El Rushbow, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-incensed, all-furious, Maha Rushi.
Here on the EIB network, telephone number 800-282-2882, the email address, LRushbow at EIBNet.com.
I almost couldn't take it last night.
I almost could not take it.
I knew Bill Clinton was going to do what he always does, and that's go out and lie through his teeth.
But then Biden comes on, and some of the stuff that came out of Biden's mouth, a noted plagiarizer, Clinton, a noted perjurer, both these guys on full display, and the slobbering media swallowed it all.
I had to hear, I had to hear these two speeches, and then I listened, and I read analysts talking about how effective both speeches were, while those same analysts acknowledged the lies in the speeches.
And I sit there and I ask myself, how in a sane world can something that is a lie or a series of lies be effective?
Now, look, I'm an adult, and I understand all during the 90s, the drive-bys marveled at how Clinton lied.
But the combination of the words effective and lies sums up the Democrat Party.
It sums up what we're going to get tonight with Obama.
And everybody's talking about this speech tonight at Mile High, at Invesco Field at Mile High, as being in front of a Greek set.
More and more people now starting to think that this is an attempt to sort of recreate the setting in front of the Lincoln Memorial when Martin Luther King gave his big speech 45 years ago.
I'll tell you something else to look out for tonight, folks.
Peggy Noonan has a pretty good piece about this, too, by the way, talking about how this is a risky thing to do to speak in an open-air stadium like this.
And she, remember what I told you yesterday?
She says they run the risk here of making this look like Nuremberg.
And she says, when you start speaking outdoors with all these speakers and echoes and reverb with nothing up there to bring the sound back down, it takes away from the overall intimacy of things.
The stories the drive-bys are putting out is that half the Obama camp is very worried about this tonight.
We shall see.
But we're going to have to put up with Al Gore before Obama.
We're going to have to put up with Tim Kaine before Al Gore and the governor of Colorado.
We're going to have to put up with.
Did you notice?
You listened to Biden's story, his childhood story.
It sounds as conservative as any story and as average American as any story you'll hear in this country.
And it made me think back to Michelle Obama's speech talking about her childhood and how she grew up.
Both these childhoods sounded as conservative as they can be.
As rig rock, rock-ribbed, middle-class American conservative as you can be.
And they're all stories.
And here's Obama.
I'm sorry.
Here's Biden talking about how his dad kept telling him, you get up, you get knocked down, you keep getting up, and you keep getting up, and you keep getting up.
And then his mom said, you do more than get up.
You get out there and you go bloody the nose of the bully.
I'm thinking, this is the guy that wanted to lose in Iraq.
This is the guy that opposed the surge.
This is the guy who doesn't put into practice in his life, in his politics, what he lauded his parents for raising him with last night.
And then I found this in the Democrat Party platform.
This is actually in the platform.
For decades, Americans have been told to act for ourselves, by ourselves, on our own.
Democrats reject this recipe for division and failure.
Now, platforms, you know, they're kindling for fireplaces after conventions are over.
But the people that write them care deeply about all this.
And so this is basically the Democrat Party platform summed up here in two sentences: is screw the America that we've always known.
These people are getting away with trashing the country.
They're getting away with trashing the economy.
They are not being held accountable for it.
The economy, by the way, stunning.
The growth rate for the second quarter is out, 3.3%.
I went back, Clinton last night lying about the economy during his presidency.
I went back and looked, you know what the January 01, that would be the fourth quarter GDP rate was?
That was, no, first quarter, I'm sorry, of 01 when Bush took office, 0.49, minus 0.49%.
Clinton handed off, and we all remember this, except the drive-bys won't remind anybody of it.
Clinton handed off economic growth rate of minus 0.49% to George W. Bush.
And then here came 9-11 shortly thereafter because of inadequacies of Clinton's foreign policy during his own eight years as president of the United States.
And I have to listen to Biden reprise the 1992 BS that this is the worst economy he's ever seen, portraying this country as a soup line country.
So trash the country, trash the economy, and then put themselves up as the people to fix it.
I just, it's wearing me out, folks.
I can imagine if you're watching this, it's wearing you out too.
It literally is wearing me out.
I went to bed last night and I just was frustrated, not the word, furious is the word for it.
Even though I knew it was going to happen, and even though I knew the drive-bys, we're going to call it magical and effective and so forth.
And then I get up and I read where I see West Virginia Democrats are not buying into Obama's Act.
Now, Rasmussen says he sees the beginning of an Obama bounce.
You would think so.
Here's another thing.
I'm fed up with hearing about Obama.
He shows up for five minutes last night.
And he's not even part of this.
It's been a Clinton convention.
He shows up for five minutes last night.
He's already overexposed.
But despite all of that, by the way, as an added bonus on today's program, my friends, I am going to give you the speech Bill Clinton really wanted to give last night.
Stand by for that.
So I watched this pathetic convention last night, furious, just frustrated as I can be.
But before we get to that in great detail with audio soundbites and so forth, I want to describe for you exactly how it is that the Obama campaign operates behind the scenes.
The brutal ruthlessness, the smear tactics of this campaign, this situation that I'm going to tell you about, something the drive-bys will not tell you about, and it is an insight.
It is a clear insight into how Obama would govern.
There is, oh, first, before I get to the big story, how about this?
You probably heard about the ABC reporter on their investigative unit that was arrested on a public sidewalk in Denver taking pictures of Democrat senators going into an exclusive posh hotel for a meeting with high-roll donors.
The special interests that Obama says are not going to be part of any massive change that he brings to the party.
Now, put the lie to that.
Tonight at Invesco Field, they have club seats in that state.
Charles Krauthammer had a great description of this.
Charles Krauthammer said, this is the Super Bowl halftime show without the game.
They have these club suites.
And guess who's going to be in them?
For millions of dollars in donations.
The big fat cats, the special interests, the corporate interests that the Democrats profess to hate so that they can protect you from these evil, mean profiteers.
And they're going to be in those club boxes, and Obama's going to pow around with them afterwards.
You're going to hobnob with them up there.
Just like they were in the hotel.
Police in Denver arrested an ABC News producer yesterday as he and a camera crew were attempting to take pictures on a public sidewalk of Democrat senators and VIP donors leaving a private meeting at the Brown Palace Hotel.
A cigar-smoking Denver police sergeant, accompanied by a team of five other officers, first put his hands on S. Locker's neck and then twisted the producer's arm behind him to put on handcuffs.
A police officer later told lawyers for ABC News that S. Locker is being charged with trespass interference and failure to follow a lawful order.
He also said the arrest followed a signed complaint from the Brown Palace Hotel.
S. Locker and his ABC News colleagues are spending the week investigating the role of corporate lobbyists and wealthy donors at the convention for a series of money trail reports on World News tonight with Charles Gibson.
They're going to do this in Minnesota, too.
But this is the Democrat Party in conjunction with this hotel wanting to keep all of this private.
And so a reporter is arrested and carted off.
This is the change.
This is the Barack Obama of Chicago, as Bill Clinton called him, a typical Chicago thug.
You don't play on a level playing field.
You clear it.
You clear the playing field.
Now they're trying to destroy Stanley Kurtz of National Review magazine because Stanley Kurtz has been researching the papers in the William S. Daly Library in Chicago that detail the business dealings of Obama and William Ayers.
The attempt to destroy not just the career and the reputation of Stanley Kurtz occurred on radio last night.
A local Chicago host, who himself, I'm told is a pretty nonpartisan guy, was stunned at the effort made by the Obama campaign to clog up the phone lines.
They had thousands of people just calling to complain about Stanley Kurtz.
Mass emails, not saying one thing specifically in defense of Obama, but rather trashing Kurtz for engaging in this kind of politics.
It's right out of the Sololinsky book.
It's right out of this book for radicals.
And this is Obama.
He doesn't want whatever is known about Ayers to become widely known.
There's something there.
It has to be for this campaign to be ginned up this way.
Now imagine if they had the fairness doctrine.
If they had the fairness doctrine, they wouldn't have to mass email.
They wouldn't have to clog up phone lines.
All they'd have to do is call the general manager of the radio station and complain, demand equal time, and do this 20 times a day in response to programming at every radio station around.
And guess what?
The programming's gone because stations can't put up with that kind of hassle.
They can't document it to the government in order to prove that they've been fair and so forth.
This is the Obama that nobody knows.
This is the Obama that the drive-bys will not tell you about.
This is the Obama who wants to clear the playing field.
His accomplishments, not on display last night.
Nobody at that convention could describe his accomplishments because there aren't any that they can talk about.
His real accomplishment is learning the art of Chicago thug politics.
Bill Clinton is exactly right.
And that's what you need to be concerned about in addition to what we know as his radical leftist policies would be.
That's what you need to know about Obama.
Let me give you some details on this.
We come back and then we'll get to the audio soundbite analysis of some of this.
That was just garbage last night.
It was just flat out garbage.
Hi, welcome back.
Rushlin Boy and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network.
I mentioned that Scott Rasmussen says he begins to see the beginnings of a bounce for Obama.
And the Democrats, of course, talking about we're in a recession.
They want everybody to believe we're in soup line America.
The latest quarter growth rate, 3.3%.
If there's any recession, it's in the Obama campaign.
Who's been losing value ever since this convention started?
And what was the bounce that Rasmussen found?
The bounce that Rasmussen found after last night was one point.
And yet, once again, we get treated to what a juggernaut this campaign is and this party is and how they're universally loved and so forth.
Now, I'll tell you about what's going on in Chicago.
Bill Ayers, weather underground terrorist, now an educator, University of Chicago somewhere, longtime friend of Obama.
Obama has described him as just somebody who lives in a neighborhood.
It's a lie.
I know it's a harsh word to use, but they're close friends.
They are associates.
Obama's career was launched in this guy's house.
This guy was one of Obama's mentors, taught him the ins and outs of radicalism as authored by Saul Alinsky.
The relationship between Bill Ayers and Obama is much deeper than Obama admits.
They were partners in a bunch of entities.
They regularly exchanged ideas, including, according to Investors Business Daily, how to turn Chicago schools into re-education camps to create a generation of social revolutionaries.
That's who Bill Ayers is, and he is unrepentant.
And this is who Obama worked with on education.
One of Ayers' descriptions for a course that he and Obama designed and worked on is called Improving Learning Environments.
And here's the description.
Prospective K-12 teachers need to be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and be a teacher of capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.
You think you know enough to elect Barack Obama?
You think you know enough about what he really believes?
Do you think you know enough about what has really happened in his life in order to form a judgment?
Now, Stanley Kurtz writes for National Review Online.
He's a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
He is a Harvard-educated social anthropologist who frequently does contribute to National Review and some other publications.
He is widely respected.
His research is meticulous.
And he has been doing for months, as many of us do, the job the mainstream media refuses to do, and that is examine the background, the public records of Obama to try to find out what's there.
Specifically looking into his relationship with Bill Ayers.
And he has found some documents in Chicago that give some details that shine the light on the lie that Obama barely knows Ayers.
Just a guy in my neighborhood.
It's clear that Obama does not want people to know how close he is to Bill Ayers.
So the Saul Alinsky-inspired Obama campaign has engaged in a brutal sleaze and smear tactic.
The Obama machine now going after Stanley Kurtz, who is just looking into this, he was on Chicago radio station WGN last night, and the phone lines were flooded and the emails came in.
And call after call after call came in denouncing Kurtz.
Kurtz needs to stop this.
We just want this.
The callers were robots.
They were reading an email that the Obama campaign had sent out and they got through.
Those that got through were just reading emails.
We just want it to stop.
The host said, what has Mr. Kurtz said that's not true here tonight?
And they would not respond because they couldn't respond.
They just said, we want it to stop.
The criticism of Obama is just not what we want to hear as Americans.
And these people were racing through their script and they echoed the campaign insistence that it was Rosenberg, the host, who was lowering the standards of political discourse by having Stanley Kurtz on rather than the campaign by shouting him down.
This is who they are.
There is no opposition permitted.
They are to be gotten off the field.
The field is to be cleared.
You are not going to be allowed to criticize our candidate.
I don't care whether the criticism is true or not.
We are going to stop you.
We are going to stop it.
We're going to destroy you.
We're going to destroy your reputation.
We're going to harass these media people that give you any opportunity whatsoever.
We're going to intimidate them.
We're going to make them afraid to have any guest on their show that will criticize.
They, when asked what's wrong, when asked what's inaccurate, when asked, what's Mr. Kurtz saying here that's incorrect?
They don't answer it.
They read from the script.
We just want this to stop.
This is Barack Obama.
This is who Barack Obama is.
This is William Ayers and who he is.
This is Jeremiah Wright and who he is.
This is everybody who has ever poisoned the mind of Barack Obama.
I'm sure at some point in his young life, he was like every other normal little kid with four half-brothers and a father with four wives.
But somewhere, somehow, somebody got a hold of him, or he chose it.
Maybe he wanted to go to Chicago, get involved in politics there, and he knew what he had to do to do it.
And he has absorbed this poison from radical, radical leftists who do not like this country.
He has learned their techniques.
The techniques of radical leftists do not involve engaging in debate.
They do not involve in trying to persuade people to agree with your point of view.
The Obama heirs, Jeremiah Wright, Harvard professors, whoever it is that's taught this guy, the technique is you get rid of the opposition.
And it doesn't matter how.
You get rid of them by destroying their credibility.
You intimidate them.
You intimidate people who would give the media opportunities.
This is a window, my friends, into how Barack Obama would govern.
And don't forget this little episode with the ABC News producer and his camera crew outside the hotel in Denver.
Don't forget that.
This is who Barack Obama is.
And you will not see it tonight if he walks out on a toga in front of this Greek set.
Oh, one other thing about that when we come back.
Don't go away.
Making the complex understandable.
Rush Limbaugh and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network.
Steve Gilbert, Sweetness and Light blog, points out the dedication by Saul Olinski in his own book, Rules for Radicals.
We've discussed Saul Olinsky a lot over the recent past.
He was one of Hillary Clinton's idols.
She, too, by the way, from Chicago, but Alinsky's tactics have spread through.
I mean, Vladimir Putin uses Saul Olinski tactics.
The difference between Vladimir Putin and Saul Olinski is too small to be measured.
And I know you're not going to believe this.
You're not going to believe that a woman who almost became the president of the vice or the presidential nominated Democrat Party holds Saul Olinski as one of her idols, one of her role models.
You're not going to believe this when you read or hear me read to you his dedication to the book.
You are not going to believe that Obama has signed onto this hook line and sinker.
Rules for Radicals is the title of the book, A Practical Primer for Realistic Radicals by Saul Alinsky.
He's no longer alive, but his work lives on.
Here is Saul Alinsky's dedication to his own book.
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgement to the very first radical.
From all our legends, mythology and history, and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins, or which is which, the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom, Lucifer.
Saul Alinsky dedicated the book that Barack Obama has learned from to the devil, to Satan.
It's right here.
We have screenshots.
We will link to Steve Gilbert's website, Sweetness and Light blog, sweetnessandlight.com, sweetnesslight.com.
Can I read it to you again?
I just snirdly can't believe what I just heard because he's out there screening calls.
Rules for radicals.
Saul Olinski, Hillary Clinton's idol, Barack Obama, total believer.
Saul Olinski from Chicago dedicated his own book with this.
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgement to the very first radical from all our legends, mythology, and history.
The first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom, Lucifer.
There are two other dedications on this page, one from Thomas Payne, the other from Rabbi Hillel.
But it's Saul Olinski who is the author of the book.
And I know you're not going to believe it.
I know you don't believe this.
But this is, folks, the evidence for the belief that Obama buys what's in this book is on display against Stanley Kurtz of National Review, all because he's trying to find out what the relationship was between Bill Ayers and Barack Obama.
And that's not going to be found.
And if it is found, the guy who finds it and tells everybody is going to be so discredited and so destroyed, nobody's going to believe it.
And anybody else who tries to give Stanley Kurtz an opportunity to be on the air, they're going to be likewise intimidated.
This is on a local Chicago radio last night, but it has spread throughout the proper channels, ladies and gentlemen.
It will never find its way to the drive-by media.
Switching gears, let's go to the convention.
You know, next week, the Republican convention kicks off on Monday.
And out there is Hurricane Gustav, also known as Katrina 2.
Now, I'm watching it last night.
I told you I'm a student of these things.
Those of us who live in South Florida are.
Snurdley hadn't gotten into it because he knows that he can rely on me to tell him everything so he didn't have to waste his time on a computer.
But I watched it last night, maybe late yesterday after, forget which.
I multitask.
I can listen to Democrats lie through their teeth, get frustrated as hell about it, and still track hurricanes.
And I'm watching it, I'm watching it, and the weather centers, the hurricane center says, hip, still moving west, northwest.
There's five miles an hour.
I'm saying, speed up, baby.
Speed up so it goes somewhere besides here.
Sorry, New Orleans.
Sorry, Texas.
Speed up so it goes somewhere.
It didn't speed up, but lo and behold, it looked like it fell apart.
And I got a note from an official climatologist, Roy Spencer said, Gustav just falling apart out there.
He said, you know, you need the heat from thunderstorms to give these things their energy.
And it is falling apart.
And it was weakening.
But it wasn't, in fact, falling apart.
It took a jog due south that only one of the 14 models predicted.
It took a jog due south.
It was supposed to go between Cuba, Klobgitmo, and Jamaica.
It's creaming Jamaica right now.
So because of that due south jog now moving west, they've moved the forecast track from New Orleans west closer to the New Orleans, the Louisiana-Texas border.
They still don't know.
I mean, it all depends on so many variables.
Nobody saw one model saw that southern jog last night, and they didn't put that in the official forecast.
Well, no, they didn't.
They didn't have it in the official forecast track.
Now, the drive-bys are hoping for New Orleans.
The drive-by's been hoping for New Orleans since Katrina.
They want to blame it on Republicans.
If the Republican convention, well, when it kicks off on Monday, the forecast now, and again, this is way out.
We're talking next Tuesday.
Sometime in the day on Tuesday, it is supposed to hit its target, landfall, United States, Louisiana, somewhere.
And the drive-bys are just hoping it's New Orleans because they want to totally decamp St. Paul.
The drive-bys don't want to go to a Republican convention anyway.
The drive-bys don't like Republicans.
They don't think the Republicans have good enough parties.
They don't have decent enough celebrities.
Republicans, just a bunch of dryball boars.
They really don't want to be there other than for the opportunity to trash them and rip them and lie about Republicans.
But if Hurricane Katrina 2 hits anywhere near New Orleans, they're going to get out of there en masse.
There's not going to be any coverage of the Republican convention.
They will use the excuse to tear down breakdown.
We got breaking news.
We already know who the nominee is.
We've got to get it.
There'll be limited coverage.
Nothing like this orgy of a love fest that we have had to frustratingly sit through for the past, it seems like a week.
I have to say this is the fastest, the five-day fastest week in meetings.
It's the slowest three days of my life these past three days.
The slowest damn three.
I'm not kidding.
Keep looking at the clock.
Chug on, chug on.
At any rate, I want you to listen to a montage of the drive-bys.
So excited, rooting for a hurricane.
Hurricane Gustav moving towards that coast.
Patterson heading there on Friday.
I'll be there on Friday.
What timing?
The third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
In the middle of the Republican National Convention.
That wouldn't really be a bad storyline for them.
When Katrina made landfall in New Orleans, where was John McCain?
He was standing with President Bush.
Now we've got Hurricane Gustav turning off the coast, potentially with the beat on New Orleans again.
This is the perfect storm brewing.
Well, it's a storm that could have political impact.
I mean, look, no one can root for Gustav.
Eugene Robinson was the last spoken.
Nobody can root for Gustav.
You all are rooting for Gustav.
You think it's going to destroy the Republican Party again.
It's the perfect storm brewing, said Nora O'Donnell.
And where was McCain when Katrina made landfall?
Why, he was standing with President Bush.
Let me tell you, you Democrats, you drive-bys, you better be very careful here because we have a very competent governor now who can tell that local weed mayor in New Orleans how to do this right.
His name is Bobby Jindal, and Bobby Jindal is not going to leave and go to the convention.
Bobby Jindal is going to stay there.
We're going to have a competent politician this time getting ready for this thing if it hits there.
They're all, I know, activated a National Guard, 300 troops so far, more to come, churned off National Homeland Security going down there.
It ain't going to happen, drive-bys, like it happened last time.
You're going to be the ones left out this time.
A Republican governor is going to show the way in the middle of a natural disaster.
Just like Haley Barber did in Mississippi and just like Jeb Bush always did here in Florida.
New Orleans, Louisiana were the mess they were because of two incompetent liberals that were running the show at the same time with nothing but liberals running the show in the whole state for years before that.
We'll be right back.
Don't go away.
By the way, folks, you know, there is some dissension in the ranks at the drive-bys.
MSNBC is about to implode because apparently Keith Olberman runs the network now.
And he's in charge of who gets on it, who doesn't get on it.
He's in charge of which hosts get airtime and so forth, at least thinks he is.
And he and Matthews are going at it and Scarborough's going at it with David Schuster.
And one insider at MSNBC says, my network's blowing up.
Well, it's a bunch of kid libs running the show over there.
You know something?
There's something for NBC to have allowed this to happen to MSNBC.
I mean, no pretense.
I mean, you talk about Sololinsky radicals.
It's a bunch of radicals on that network.
They're nowhere near to practicing journalism.
And if they would say that's fine, if they want to call themselves the radical network, but the point is they're imploding and NBC's letting it.
Something tells me that they don't care about it anymore.
And I keep hearing these rumors that GE wants to dump NBC, just get rid of it, NBC Universal and all that.
Now, of course, all the NBC people deny this when they're asked about it.
But I mean, for something to happen like, this is just, it's childish and embarrassing.
And then Jonathan Alter, Jonathan Alder, who writes for Newsweek, has gone out after Carville and Mary Madeline.
He doesn't like what Carville's been saying about the convention.
He doesn't like what Carville's been ripping the convention.
No message, no this.
He said, I finally figured out what's going on.
Carville needs Obama to lose so he and Mary Madeline can continue to have their act, their roadshow, how they earn their money.
So you got Jonathan Alter calling James Carville and Mary Madeline an act.
There is dissension in the ranks of the drive-bys.
And the reason is there's a vacuum of substance at the top of the Democrat Party.
They're having to spend up so much time with sweet nothings about Obama because there is nothing of substance about Obama that anybody wants to talk about.
They don't want to talk about the Sololinsky past.
Speaking of substance and no substance, let's go to the audio sound bites.
Let's start with Joe Biden.
Listen to this story.
My dad, who fell on hard times, always told me, though, champ, when you get knocked down, get up.
Get up.
I was taught, I was taught that by my dad.
And God, I wish my dad was here tonight.
But I thank God and I'm grateful that my mom, Catherine Eugenia Finnegan Biden, is here tonight.
When I got knocked down by guys bigger than me, and this is the God's truth, she sent me back out and said, bloody their nose so you can walk down the street the next day.
And that's what I did.
Well, now, isn't this amazing?
This is from the guy who tried to author defeat in Iraq.
This is the guy who opposed the Gulf War in 1991.
This is the guy who, well, he voted for the war in Iraq, but he opposed the surge.
So what have we learned here in this little bite?
First off, sounds like little Joe's house was pretty conservative.
Sounds like his parents loved him, cared about his future.
Sounds like he had a mom and dad that were there for him.
And his mom has her own little message after dad says, just get up, go out there and bloody the bully's nose.
Now, from this story, ladies and gentlemen, we have to assume that simply breaking a nose would not be good enough for mom.
Nope.
She insisted upon little Joey Biden drawing blood.
You have to respect that.
Joey's mom wasn't a micromanager.
She kept it simple, trusted her son could work out the details, just go out there and kick their button, blood of their nose.
So I think maybe you want to send Joe Biden around to various schools in the country and say the way we deal with bullies like Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden is to bloody their nose.
Now, how did it happen, ladies and gentlemen?
Joe Biden was taught all of these values.
Joe Biden, do you realize that crowd last night applauded violence?
Where was the conflict resolution, Joe?
Why didn't your parents tell you to go out there like you are having kids be taught today?
Why didn't you go out there and try to negotiate with the bully and resolve the conflict?
No, no.
When it was you, Joe, and it was, yeah, when it was you, Joe, your dad goes down and you didn't even ask your allies to help Joe.
You didn't care what your family's reputation was.
You didn't care whether the neighborhood loved you or hated you.
And you didn't care what the neighborhood would think of you after you went out and bloodied the guy's nose.
You just went out and did it.
Now all of a sudden, your country is not worth the house you grew up in.
Your country is not worth the values you grew up with.
You phony, baloney, plastic banana, good time rocket.
I'm sorry, folks.
I have just built, I cannot handle these people anymore.
Here's another soundbite.
For those of us who grew up in middle-class neighborhoods like Scranton and Wilmington, that was the American dream.
Ladies and gentlemen, but today, today, that American dream feels like it's slowly slipping away.
I don't have to tell you that.
You feel it every single day in your own lives.
I've never seen a time when Washington has watched so many people get knocked down without doing anything to help them get back up.
What the hell, Joe?
Who helped you get back up?
You just got through teaching a story of self-reliance and you are instead spreading dependent helplessness to as many Americans as possible.
You are not behaving and living the lessons you learned when you grew up.
Besides, what you said is a lie.
The economic circumstance of this country is nowhere near the way you described it.
But hey, he hasn't changed.
In 1988, when he ran for president, he kept talking about how nobody around the world respected us and how the economy was letting people down.
One more.
And it said, all can happen.
Should mom move him into this now, now that dad's gone?
$50, $60, $70 just to fill up the gas tank.
