Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
I have a question for all of you pet owners out there.
When you have fixed or neutered your pets, when you cut them out, was it a benevolent act?
Greetings, my friends, and welcome to Castrati Thursday here on the Excellence in Broadcasting Network, Rush Limbaugh Behind the Golden EIB microphone.
Telephone number, if you want to be on the program, is 800-282-2882.
The email address is lrushbow at EIBnet.com.
Yes.
Castrati Thursday today, ladies and gentlemen, here in honor of the Reverend Jackson, who has for most of his career been the official media-selected black leader, highly successful racial entrepreneur, minister to both Bill Clinton and a number of other people in need, particularly in Clinton's case after the blue dress affair.
Castrati Thursday.
In case you've not heard, the Reverend Jackson was all over the news last night, not for what he said.
We all heard about the open mic.
The Reverend Jacks was caught in the open mic, and everybody, I was watching CNN, I'm watching all these places, and they are all talking about his apology, and they're just talking on and on and on about he's apologizing, and they covered his apology statement at 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock Eastern Time yesterday without saying what had happened.
All they were doing was driving audience to the Fox News channel, which had the tape, and aired a portion of it last night.
It must have been serious because the Reverend Jackson, in his statement, evoked every race cart, every blackest victim talking point that he could remember.
And every liberal pundit that I watched on DNC TV and over on CNN circle the wagon to try to pull Jackson's nuts out of the fire.
And yet nobody had heard his macaka moment.
Nobody had heard his macaka statement.
Finally, at the stroke of 8 p.m. on the O'Reilly factor last night, we learned that the Reverend Jackson had prescribed castration for the Democrat presidential nominee, the Messiah, Lord Barack Obama.
Here is what the relevant portion of the tape has the Reverend Jackson saying.
Was you able to hear that, Don?
Were you able to make...
It's basically, see, Barack's been talking down to black people on this faith-based stuff.
I want to cut his nuts out.
We bleep the nuts, but I mean, it's a word.
Barack, he's talking down to black people.
The Reverend Dax did not know that his mic was hot.
Are you just hearing about this for the first time, Dawn?
You really are.
She's been staring at me like, what the hell are you talking about?
I figured you're just hearing about this?
Oh, this is something.
Now, what does all this mean?
What does all this mean?
Well, it means that the Messiah, Lord Obama, has yet another Reverend problem, ladies and gentlemen.
He can no more throw the Reverend Dax under the bus than he can throw Reverend Wright under the bus.
And the followers of the Reverend Dax have to wonder, is a castrated Messiah more effective than an endowed Messiah.
I can just see the debate on hardball coming up.
Chris Matthews asking his panel of experts if a high-pitched Obama would get the support of Hillary's voters.
Just what did the Reverend Jackson have in mind?
Envy?
Or perhaps Mrs. Clinton's testicle lockbox?
We have a special edition, ladies and gentlemen, of the Justice Brothers arrived just before the program today.
No, an emergency action update from the Justice Brothers.
By now, you've probably heard that one of us has had an open mic accident.
It wasn't me.
I have broadcast insurance from the Justice Brothers.
Now we have an opportunity to brainstorm and show you how hard we work to protect you from catastrophic...
Stupidity.
Loss.
Yeah.
First, we will attempt to defuse the situation by coming up with a plausible and pliable excuse like this is a tough one.
I was misquoted.
But they were courting you.
That's not me.
That's it.
That's all you got?
I was in another dementia?
Yeah, let's go to that one.
See, it's just that simple.
And we'll work just as hard for you.
Broadcast insurance from the Justice Brothers.
Smart streetwise protection from open microphones.
With all his flip-flopping around, he should have been glad I said I didn't go there.
Hey, Jesse, you don't look so good.
You want to go shake somebody down?
No.
We can do something easy like march out in front of a fast food place against greasy food and calories.
No.
Are you sure?
It'll make you feel better.
Well, it would be fun to suck some grain from the machine.
Hey, is your mic still on?
Are you kidding?
You think I'm that stupid?
It was amazing.
It was amazing all afternoon watching the drive-by media just wring its hands and talk about what a great guy Jesse Jackson was and to explain why this could have happened without ever telling anybody what had happened.
Nobody knew about it or what it was until 8 o'clock.
I mean, Drudge had a blurb on it, but there was no official confirmation from anybody.
I'll tell you, Obama, the Lord Messiah, Barack Obama, had one hell of a day yesterday.
He first he flip-flop on FISA, and the lefties are going ballistic on this.
He was caught saying we need to all learn Spanish so he won't be embarrassed by us bitter clingers.
He says he regrets putting his children out in front of the camera when they were shockingly charming.
I mean, everybody that saw it thought the kids were very cute.
Germany yanked the welcome Mat for his grand non-presidential speech of the Berlin Wall, and now he's getting his nuts attacked by the Reverend Jackson, ladies and gentlemen.
Yeah, he forgot to beg for money and shows up at a speech to beg for money for Hillary.
He forgot to do that.
It's like going out to endorse somebody, giving a 30-minute speech and forgetting to endorse them.
So he forgot to beg for money.
Now, stop and think.
You know what else happened?
The Reverend Jackson's son, Jesse Jackson Jr., threw his dad under the bus.
He must know everything else that's on this tape because he threw his dad under the bus.
It didn't take long.
I love my dad, but I went out of the bus.
I've been supporting Obama.
Now, stop and think of this.
Jesse Jackson Jr. Throws his dad under the bus.
His dad is supported, and Jesse Jackson Jr. is supporting a guy who threw his grandmother under the bus.
And then all of these, we don't call them flip-flops on this program, as you know, ladies and gentlemen, these missteps of incompetence.
Victor Davis Hansen today has a piece at National Review online, which details just how close to existing Bush policy, foreign and domestic, Obama is right now.
The big thing is that, you know, this is just maneuvering.
He does it, and he's a leftist, and he's going to govern that way.
If he is elected, before we go to the break, ladies and gentlemen, the Democrat National Committee got wind yesterday of my ordering phase two of Operation Chaos.
And they are ecstatic.
You know, phase two of Operation Chaos are going to have these nationwide platform meetings where they want you, the members of the voting class, to show up at these various meetings around the country while they pretend that what they hear from you will affect what their platform is going to be.
And so this is the next phase.
If they're going to invite Americans in, I think we should send as many operatives and troops in as possible to make contributions to the Democrat Platform Committee.
They're right down the line conservative just to see what happens.
Well, the Democrat National Committee says, come on in, operatives.
They issued the following statement from Michael Yockey, the party's national platform director.
We'd like to thank Rush Limbaugh for publicizing the Listening to America events and extend an open invitation to him and his listeners to attend.
The Democrat Party is not afraid to listen to the wide array of views the American people have on issues they care about.
That's what makes our nation strong.
People across the country of all persuasions are tired of business as usual in Washington and people like Limbaugh, who are more concerned with scoring political points than changing the direction of the country.
Unlike McCain and the entire Republican Party, the Lord Messiah, Barack Obama, and the Democrat National Committee are encouraging Americans across the country to get involved and make their voices heard.
If Limbaugh's ditto heads want to join other Americans united in their belief that their voices should be heard in Washington, talking about their hopes, their dreams, and concerns in their living rooms, community centers, and churches, and reporting back on these discussions to the platform drafting committee, then they are welcome to join one of the 655 events in 47 states organized in just 24 hours.
And so there you have it, ladies, and the Democrat National Committee has officially extended an invitation to all of you Operation Chaos troops.
You will not have to infiltrate what?
Cash.
I know that, but they're not going to be charging people to go into these things.
You have to pay to get into one of these?
I haven't heard that.
You got it paid.
They may pass the plate once you get in there, but I can't believe that you got to pay to get into these things.
Anyway, we must take a brief time out here, ladies and gentlemen, much more straight ahead on the EIB networks.
By the way, once again, I ask you this question.
Once again, where is the fierce racism and bigotry found in this campaign?
It is found at the Rainbow Coalition, the monochrome coalition of the Reverend Dax And throughout the Democrat Party.
A brief timeout, ladies and gentlemen, a quick return after this.
And we're back, Rush Limbaugh, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have here on Castrate Thursday.
Telephone number 800 282-2882.
Before we go anywhere, I have to issue a thanks.
I have been getting Gardenia-scented candles sent to me out to Wazoo here ever since I mentioned it a couple weeks ago.
And it's gotten the point here.
I need to thank some people.
Rex Mason at the Root Candle Company.
They are in Medina, Ohio.
They sent a whole bunch of things in.
Company called Wicks and Moore.
Where is Wicks?
I've got this great catalog from.
I don't know where they're from.
Yeah, there's no way they're from.
But anyway, it's a great catalog here.
And two babes founded Wicks and Moore.
And there are others that have sent these in.
I thank you all very much.
We're fully scented here at the EIB network.
Now, the drive-bys, as you know, ladies and gentlemen, are in the tank for the Messiah, Lord Barack Obama.
Chicago Tribune, story by John Cost today or John Cass, the headline says it all.
Jackson's cutting remarks.
But this is another thing.
Can you imagine if this were two women?
Let's say it was Hillary and Pelosi.
And let's say that Pelosi said of Hillary, I just, I want to, I want to, see, I can't say it.
I can't say it, but you can say, you can hear Jesse Jackson, all everybody running around is going to cut his nuts off.
We're all laughing ourselves silly here.
You can laugh at this kind of thing happening to men, but you try a similar anatomical thing with women, and you don't even dare say it.
So anyway, I don't know if this headline's a double entendre or not.
Jackson's cutting remarks may be helpful to Obama.
And the thrust of the story is that, you know, how could this help Obama?
How in the world could the Reverend Jackson and his comment help Obama?
Well, in the perverted eyes of many in the drive-by media, we white racists so hate the Reverend Jackson that if the Reverend Jackson speaks badly of Obama for Obama's alleged slights against black people, then we will like Obama.
That is how pathetic the libs and the drive-bys are when it comes to understanding people.
The racism and the bigotry once again on full display in the Democrat Party.
I mean, you talk about convoluting to suggest this is going to help Obama with white voters because white voters so hate Jesse Jackson that anybody Jesse Jackson hates got to be a good guy.
In all candor, ladies and gentlemen, humor aside, this Reverend Jackson ordeal not being made the big deal it should be.
Who is this guy?
Jesse Jackson is one of the icons of the Democrat Party.
He has always been treated as such.
Jesse Jackson has received millions of dollars, a place of position and importance within the Democrat Party.
He'd been championed as an actual candidate and a legitimate elder statesman of the liberal left Democrats.
Yet what is his reality?
The Democrat Party is steeped in racism.
It's steeped in sexism, in contradictions, and divisiveness.
And notice none of the usual Democrat Party leaders in the Senate or in the House at the Democrat National Committee, et cetera, et cetera, have denounced the Reverend Jackson.
I mean, their presidential nominee, the Lord Messiah Barack Obama.
And by the way, you need to see this video of the Reverend Jackson.
I was stunned.
Dawn came in here today when I pronounced today New Castrate Thursday.
She's got a blank stare on her face.
I had no idea what this.
She had not heard about this.
It must have been a night with the kids last night.
But if you watch this, you ought to see what the Reverend Jackson does when he verbalizes his desire to cut out.
There's some debate over what he said, cut out or cut off, the Lord Messiah, Barack Obama's nuts.
He gives it one of these below-the-belt ghosts with his right hand, and his face sort of contorts.
I mean, he's mad.
He is really mad about all his faith-based stuff.
He's mad at Obama preaching responsibility to black men.
I don't know why.
See, it's different when a presidential candidate does this who's a Democrat and who's black than when Bill Cosby does it.
I'm sure, you know, Reverend Jackson says he's talking down to black people.
The Reverend Jackson got to feel threatened by something here.
In fact, I think that the Reverend Jackson has been threatened by the candidacy of Obama from the get-go.
Because this that's happening to the Messiah, Lord Barack Obama, is essentially Jack Jackson's.
This was his.
Just like the presidency was Hillary's, he was the first black, serious black presidential candidate.
Before old Joe Biden came out and said of Obama, it's about time we had somebody who's clean and articulate here.
More racism and bigotry again from the Democrat Party.
So none, none of the Democrat Party leaders in the House or the Senate have come out and talked about this when the Reverend Jackson has taken a huge shot at their Democrat presidential nominee.
They circle the wagons as always.
Now, on our side, for example, we have the self-appointed new conservative methaners always looking for opportunities to advance themselves at the expense of the movement and the party.
They would be first to pounce if one of our guys had done this.
We don't circle the wagons.
We simply pounce on somebody that allows the rest of us to elevate their self-esteem in the eyes of the left.
We always say we need to get rid of these kinds of miscreants.
The Democrats have circled the wagon around the Reverend Jackson.
Back in a moment.
Hey, congratulations on a broadcast engineer.
There's no name-shout jingle here, as there has been in every bottom-of-the-hour break for the last 15 years.
Sometimes they take up a little bit more time.
We're eager to get back to the programming content portion of the program.
Our telephone number is 800-282-2882.
Yesterday, Barack Obama, in discussing the launch of missiles from Iran, said this went right past me.
And I was reminded of this by a subscriber at rushlimbaugh.com.
Barack Obama said, I'm not worried about Iran.
They're not going to launch any against us.
They don't stand a chance against us.
And the reason that that kind of slipped by is because they don't, if we ever got serious about it.
I mean, militarily, they don't stand a chance against us.
But the fact was pointed out to me that Obama has been part of the chorus that we can't win in Iraq, that we never had a chance against the insurgents in Iraq, that the surge had no chance of working.
So Iran doesn't stand a chance against this, but we can't beat Iraq.
That's from the Messiah, the Lord Barack Obama.
Amazing story in the Los Angeles Times today by Michael Finnegan and Mark Barabuk.
Democrats take Obama's shift in stride by grabbing their ankles.
Now, they didn't put that in the headline.
I added that.
But a lib gets it in this story.
As the Lord Messiah Barack Obama moves to broaden his appeal beyond loyal Democrats, a chorus of anger and disappointment has arisen from the left.
But those voices are a distinct minority because the party has a more pressing concern, and that's winning in November.
On Wednesday, Obama again bucked with a B, his liberal allies voting in the Senate to give immunity to the telecoms on the FISA bill.
Reaction has been swift, and aside from the blogosphere in some newspaper column, it's been notably mild.
We're willing to work through this period, said Richard Parker, president of the liberal Americans for Democrat Action, one of the party's most enduring advocacy groups.
In the long run, he said the organization's serious concerns about Obama are far outweighed by its disagreements with McCain.
We're willing to work through this period.
They take the shift of Obama to the center in stride.
If that's true, it is because they know he doesn't mean a word of it.
And I'm here to tell you he doesn't mean a word of it.
All of this is smoke and mirrors.
If he does get elected, he's going to do everything he can to establish a pure anti-pro-leftist agenda.
Catherine Colbert, president of People for the American Way, at some point it does cause a problem.
Is he there yet?
No, he's not really a problem yet.
Now, this is about Ben Austin, who is a former Clinton White House political deputy and an early supporter of the Lord Messiah, Barack Obama, called Obama's perceived drift unnecessary and potentially counterproductive for a candidate who aspires to be a transformational figure.
Can we let go of that?
The idea that Obama is a transformational figure or is transcending something has now been blown through the roof.
They're holding on to a mirage.
They're holding on to a myth.
But here's what Ben Austin said.
He said it succinctly.
This is the thing that has been driving me nuts ever since the Republican primaries began.
It's been driving me nuts as I listen to the so-called conservative intelligentsia in our media.
Said Ben Austin, former Clinton White House political deputy.
To the extent that progressives see Barack Obama as the Reagan of the left, Reagan did not tack toward the center.
Ronald Reagan moved the electorate to the right.
A liberal Ben, that's they all know it, and that's why they're so scared of conservatism in the hands of an artful communicative leader, because conservatism moves the electorate to the conservatives, do not move to the center, except we are now.
Well, some of us are, you and I aren't.
But our conservative intelligentsia is moving to the center.
Our candidate has long since passed the center on his way to the left.
And they tell us the era of Reagan is over.
And they tell us we need a new kind of conservatism.
And yet, and yet, Obama moving to the right and trying to make it look like he's got to find some way to get the support of the bitter clingers that he really truly resents and is embarrassed by.
But it just, I can't tell you.
It's a mixture of emotions.
On the one hand, it's Hosanna's.
On the other hand, this makes me so mad.
Because they know that Democrats know exactly the danger posed by conservatism.
Ronald Reagan moved the electorate to the right.
He didn't go to the center.
We expect the Democrats to tack all over the place because they're phony baloney plastic banana good time rock and rollers from the get-go.
We don't expect our side to do it.
And in the process of doing it, telling us conservatism doesn't work, that it's old hat, that it's old-fashioned, that it needs to be modernized, upgraded, version 2.0, whatever.
Ronald Reagan moved the electorate to the right.
And a lot of that electorate, by the way, is still there.
And it's just as upset as I am that it has been abandoned by its leadership.
Am I right, my friends?
I am talking about you.
You know I'm right.
I'm right even when I think I'm wrong.
That's why my accuracy rating, documented to be almost always right, 98.8% of the time.
Let's go to the phones.
John in Churchill, Tennessee.
Glad you called, sir.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Mega Dittos, Rush.
Rush, instead of being embarrassed by Americans who don't speak foreign languages, Obama should be ashamed, really ashamed, that his NEA pals run schools that have graduates who can't read or write English.
Well, yeah, see, he's not going to be embarrassed by his own people.
I agree, you're right.
The left ought to be embarrassed about this, but it's their authorship that has created it.
And not all of it is by accident, you understand out there, John.
Sure, I do.
Rush, can I ask you a quick question?
Of course, my son.
Has Obama ever read a book on market economics that wasn't a critique of it?
I don't think so.
No, no.
I don't, in fact, I don't know how much he learned about whatever he had.
I want to play you.
Since you bring that up, since you bring that up, I got a couple soundbites.
Let me find them.
It's number three and four.
And yeah, three and four.
You listen to these on the radio.
You got your radio on, John?
Yes.
Great.
Listen to these.
Listen to these on the radio.
Now, they had nothing to do with economics.
What this is, this is July 2nd, eight days ago out in Colorado Springs.
Obama's speaking to the editorial board of the Military Times.
And he's, again, no teleprompter out there and no little wireless mic from campaign headquarters telling him what to say.
The editor here says the size of our military has really been built on the military's ability to be effective.
It's built very heavily on National Guard, very heavily on private contractors to provide everything from food service to aircraft service and gun-toning security.
What are the proper rules for those different pieces and how should that change?
Now, he interprets this to be a question.
When he heard private contractors, he heard Blackwater.
That's the knee-jerk reaction.
He wasn't thinking of Kellogg Brandon Root, who does the food services for Halliburton.
He wasn't thinking of Halliburton.
He was thinking of Blackwater.
Those evil, murdering mercenaries who make more than our brave troops.
You know, the left has their knee-jerk reactions, and you just say Blackwater and they seethe, say, Halliburton or Cheney, and they get suicidal.
So here is Obama and his answer.
When it comes to private contractors, there is room for private contractors working a mess hall, you know, providing basic supplies and doing some of the logistical work that might have been done in-house in the past.
I am troubled by the use of private contractors when it comes to potential armed engagement.
I think it puts our troops at harm's way.
I think it creates some difficult morale issues when you've got private contractors who are getting paid 10 times what an Army private's getting paid for work that is as risky.
It carries similar risk when it comes to our special forces.
What we've seen is a potential drain of some of our best-trained special forces, and you can't blame them if they can make so much more working for Blackwater than they can working as a master sergeant.
So that I think is a problem.
I don't think he understands who Blackwater is.
I don't think he understands what they do.
They do not engage in combat operations, per se.
They're a security outfit.
When I went to Afghanistan, there was a crew of these guys.
I didn't know, never heard of Blackwater at the time I was there.
But these guys, I mean, they were former special forces.
They had done their time.
They had done their duty.
And these guys, they were take-no-prisoners kind of guys, and they were just, they were secure, and they were armed to the hilt, and they drove the SUVs as we corkscrewed through downtown Kabul on our way to various sites.
And you thank God they were there.
Now, I did, in Kandahar, I did talk to one of the officers there who did point out that it was a problem when these guys are on the base because they are making six figures versus the enlisted people.
But he said that it is what it is, and we have to deal with it.
But there's something else that was sinister in Obama's answer here.
And it's just, to me, like the veterans bill that he rags McCain on for not supporting, being loaded up with pork, drain enlisted troops out of the service.
And now he's complaining about private contractors draining enlisted troops out of the service, which is not what happens.
So then the unidentified editor says, well, Blackwater would argue that they're a bargain, that you get a higher level of ability, that they can put people there, they can keep top-level talent there perpetually.
I am not arguing that there are never going to be uses for private contractors in some circumstances.
What I am saying is if you start building a military premised on the use of private contractors and you start making decisions about armed engagement based on the availability of private contractors to fill holes and gaps,
that over time you are, I believe, eroding the core of our military's relationship to the nation and how accountability is structured.
This is crazy.
You are privatizing something that is what essentially sets a nation state apart, which is the monopoly on violence.
And to set those kinds of precedents, I think, will lead us over the long term into some troubled waters.
He doesn't know what he's talking about now.
He is strictly wandering aimlessly in vain search of a cogent thought.
He has, it wasn't even coherent there.
We played these bites because the caller said, Do you think he understood anything in college about pro-market economics?
Did he read anything that was pro-market economics?
This is embarrassing.
He had no idea what he was talking about here.
You heard it.
You heard it.
A nation-state should have a monopoly on violence via its military.
And if you're going to have these private contractors to fill holes and gaps, you're going to erode the core of the military's relationship to the nation and how accountability is structured.
What about winning?
Yeah, of course, it's not defense either.
That's exactly right.
We're not talking about people who are in the military, by hook or by crook, who cares how, who are defending violence.
And as president, he wants a monopoly on the violence of this country.
Military action is just violence.
I guarantee you'll learn that in his elitist Ivy League classrooms as well.
All right, let's grab, by the way, folks, let's see, I'm just looking at, hang on, I've been getting soundbite roster here page by page, and it's all out of order.
And I'm going to need something here for this next call.
And I think it's, well, I don't know what it is now.
I can't find it.
The one page I need, I can't find it.
Let's go to, it's Jeannie in Gary, Indiana.
Is that where you are?
Yep, that's where I'm at.
And you're in a truck.
Yes, I'm a truck driver.
Terrific.
Great to have you on the program.
Oh, and it's a pleasure to speak to you too today.
Well, what's up?
Well, my point was, I listened to Jackson's apology on the radio yesterday.
Which part of it?
It went on for like 25 minutes.
And he never once said what he was apologizing for.
And neither did the networks covering the press conference say what he was apologizing for.
Well, not only that, in what he was saying, he spoke about how he supported Barack's positions.
He supported his policies.
He supported his campaign.
But he never once said he supported Barack Obama.
Just his policies and his position.
I don't think he really does.
I never have thought so.
I've never, I think, you know, the Reverend Jackson, he was for Hillary.
You know, he had, wasn't he?
Oh, that's it.
That's right.
I'm sorry.
It was the Reverend Jackson's wife who was for Hillary.
That's why the Reverend Jackson was silent about Obama.
Look, I know human nature.
And I know liberals like every square inch of my glorious naked body.
And I'm telling you, when you are, when the Democrat Party has built up Jesse Jackson to be as big as he is, he serves at their pleasure.
They gave him a seat at the table of power.
They have let him go off and shut down companies or blackmail him in order to earn money and so forth.
And he's got this huge ego, and the media treats him like he's God.
And all of a sudden, there's not just a God out there, there is a Lord.
There is a Messiah.
And the Reverend Jackson is but a mere God.
And a Messiah trumps a God and the Lord.
And there's no question that this is just eating him alive.
All of this puff piece, wonderful coverage, all of the, we love Obama on the people fainting and drawing 75,000 people supposedly to his speech.
It's got to be eating him up.
Oh, yeah.
There's no doubt he's got to be dealing.
It's worse than that.
Here we have Grab Cut 7.
Yeah, here's a little bit of the apology.
See what you think here, folks.
I have great passion for this campaign and travel across the country, the length and breadth of our nation on radio and TV and churches and schools arguing the case for the campaign.
I want to remain a part of the supportive element of it.
And if in this thing I've said in a hot mic statement that's interpreted as distractions, I offer apology for that because I don't want harm or hurt to come to this campaign.
She's got a point.
He didn't talk about harm or hurt not coming to Obama because he knew that he had said he wanted to cut off Obama's nuts, which is harmful to Obama.
I have exciting summer camp news, summer camp for kids news coming up, folks.
And also, I've just been made aware that Ralph Nader has sent me an open letter.
I have read this letter and I'm convinced that this is a plot.
This letter is designed to make Barack Obama look intelligent.
