Time Text
Howdy, folks, and welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, the most listened to radio talk show in America meeting and surpassing all audience expectations on a daily basis, except yesterday.
We're here at 800-282-2882.
The email address is L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
I just checking the email.
I got an email from a guy.
Say, Rush, I checked out what you're reading about the Great Depression.
You're reading something written by a high school student.
I'm reading from three different entries on the Great Depression.
But even if one of them is from a high school student in 1996, where did he learn what he's learning?
What is the point?
I mean, that is precisely the point.
You know, well, there's a lot of things that uh uh we I don't think are being taught about the Great Depression.
One of the things that led to the stock market problem, Joe Kennedy, the patriarch of the Kennedy family.
This guys and he and his cronies were gaming the system like you can't believe they're out there selling short, which means they're betting on stock prices to go low, manipulating things so that they did.
People were losing their shirts.
You know, is the bootlegging booze into the country.
Uh the Kennedy family to this day still gets a duty on Scotch imports into this country.
It's it's it's uh it's not a complicated thing, but you know what's happening here with with with all of American history.
When when you and I went high school, junior high in learning American history, American history was American history.
Today, it's not.
American history is liberalism.
It's taught from a political science agenda standpoint.
Uh Rockefellers are playing fast and loose with things too.
And by the way, during the Great Depression, there was all kinds of economic growth.
You can you can you can go look at uh charts and graphs of this, but you can find that Southern California, people were migrating to where there were jobs.
Southern California, all of Northern California, they're building Golden Gate Bridge or building the Bay Bridge in the Great Depression, Hoover Dam, Empire State Building.
They came in in four years, and in case the Empire State Building came in on time.
Uh early, actually.
Now, one one more thing.
One of the comments and one of the pieces I read about the Great Depression, and this all started because Obama in Missouri yesterday claims that the housing crisis today reminds him of the Great Depression, which is just that's flummery.
Uh it's dangerously uninformed.
You know what here's a guy who went to the most expensive, was said to be the greatest university in the world.
He's he's he's just ignorant about things.
And I'm convinced he's been taught all of his life a left-wing political agenda under the guise of American history.
And to think that this guy might end up in charge of the entire executive branch, the Treasury Department, think Jimmy Carter.
From 1976 to 1980, this country was in a toilet, it was in a tank.
And there are definite reasons for it.
And I think people have forgotten, or maybe they never knew in the first place.
One of the things uh in one of these pieces about the Great Depression, well, the unequal distribution of wealth, the great difference between the rich and the middle class and so forth.
And then this guy goes on to blame tax cuts for the rich for leading to the Great Depression.
State uh the Treasury Department, U.S. Department of uh Department of Treasury Statistics of Income, annual 1920 to 1929.
Tax rates in this chart are shown for taxpayers at 100,000 a year.
And uh before 1925, the top rate was even higher than it was.
Here's here's the uh bottom line.
In 1923, the rich paid 32% of all taxes.
In 1925, the rich paid 45% of all taxes.
In 1929, the year of the stock market crash, the rich paid 65% of all income taxes.
And that's why I say there's a there's a close similarity to today, but it doesn't mean we're heading into a recession.
It or a depression.
That's not what this means at all.
Now, a hundred thousand dollars back in the twenties equivalent to a little bit over one million dollars today in uh in terms of income.
Do you remember, ladies and gentlemen, uh the Harlem church minister James David Manning?
We played audio soundbites of Minister Manning, who does has no love lost for Oprah Winfrey or Barack Obama.
He is back last Saturday in Harlem at his World Missionary Church.
I am Pastor James David Manning here to give you the report on the Trinity of Hell.
Thus saith the Lord, his name is Jesus, Oprah Winfrey, Barack Hussein Obama, and the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright.
This Trinity, these three from the Trinity United Church in Chicago, Illinois.
Number one.
First.
Open-minded and Middle America white women supported a struggling actor and radio talk show host named Oprah Winfrey because of the many white women who without prejudice and lovingly supported this struggling actor and radio talk show host.
She has now become, with the support of white women, one of the most famous and powerful women in America today.
Pastor James David Manning of Harlem just getting warmed up.
Now, when this struggling actor and radio talk show host had the opportunity to show her love and thanks to all of white America and white women in particular for their love and support of her in supporting a rising presidential candidate in the name of Hillary Rodham Clinton or Barack Hussein
Obama, Oprah Winfrey, chose to support one of the boys from the hood and one of the boys from the Trinity United Church disavowing and showing her contempt for the white women who made her the great woman that she is today.
Thus saith the Lord to all white women in America, boycott the Oprah Winfrey show.
Go to your remote control now and block her show under your parental control guise.
Do not purchase her products or services and do not become a guest on her show.
You are listening to Pastor James David Manning from the New York World Missionary Church in Harlem talking about the evil Trinity community.
Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
He now continues.org to rescue former President William Jefferson Clinton during his impeachment hearings some time ago.
This now organization, a move on organization, has now thrown its ugly left wing support wholeheartedly behind Barack Hussein Obama, pouring nearly 200 million dollars into the pockets of Barack Hussein Obama.
And in advertising to support his candidacy, he spent nearly all of that money with white agencies, white hotels, white businesses, white newspapers, and very little, if any, was spent with black television or black radio.
This is last Saturday in Harlem at the World Missionary Church, Pastor James David Manning.
Concluding now about the evil Trinity, talk show host Oprah Winfrey, Senator Barack Hussein Obama, and Pastor Jeremiah Wright.
Barack Hussein Obama played and pimped Warren Ballantyne, Michael Bazden, Russ Parr, Roland Martin, and Tavis Mauly, just to name a few.
They gave it up for free.
He pimped nearly all of the black media, gave them no money, but they gave it up for free.
I say unto you that they were played by the master player.
Now, this Trinity of hell.
The father, the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright, the son, the Senator Barack Hussein Obama, and the whore girl, Oprah Winfrey.
These three.
Now they are looking to be the president, the vice president, and the Secretary of State.
This is the report on the Trinity of Hell, and I am Pastor James David Manning.
That's Pastor James David Manning, a Hillary Clinton supporter, ladies and gentlemen, by the way.
Speaking last Saturday in Harlem from his World Missionary Church, there are some things that we chose not to air from his comments, which are related to the sexual preferences of these three members of the evil Trinity.
Quick timeout, we'll be back after this and continue.
Well the global warming advocates have just won another one and those of us who love liberty and freedom have taken it on the chin again.
The Interior Secretary has just announced that the polar bear needs to be put on the threatened species list.
Not endangered but threatened which is going to curtail a number of activities in the so-called polar bear environment.
I have been researching this I have found countless sources, ladies and gentlemen, maintain that there is no problem with the polar bear population whatsoever.
There are more polar bears than we probably can count.
They are not threatened in any way the reason that they are threatened is global warming and the melting of their habitat which is lied about pictorially and graphically in Al Gore's movie and inconvenient truth.
Back to the phones we go this is where are we going here?
Give me uh we're going to go to one I'm going to go to Daytona Beach.
This is Van I'm glad you called sir.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hey Rush how are you?
Good.
Yeah listen you're hard to get along you're harder get along than uh Barack Hussein Obama's bowling coach harder to get hold of than is bowling coach I think yes it'd be funny.
Anyway I I want I wanted to get your comment on this uh Rush the drive by media didn't even uh say anything about it last Thursday uh Mrs. Clinton made the statement that had she been under the uh Republican rules of nomination she would have had twenty three hundred and uh twenty votes right now and had the nomination and uh Barack Hussein Obama would have thirteen hundred and eight right now she'd be the nominee if if she was under the same rules as the republi as uh
McCain when he got his nomination.
That's all that's very true.
Yeah, so how come the drive-by media didn't say a word about that?
Well, I mean, why should they?
Because she's not running under the Republican Party.
Well, she needed something to boost her up, you know, and I thought that would have boosted her up a little bit.
Here's the dirty little secret about this.
The Clintons have only themselves to blame for these rules.
They were running the party when this whole shebang was put together.
You know, Howard Dean and the gang and the punk Terry McAuliffe, they figured this was going to be a coronation.
They stacked all these primaries early.
Now, the superdelegate and proportionate delegate allocations, the pledge delegates, that goes back basically to the early 80s to prevent, you know, a McGovern-type nomination or even a Jimmy Carter-type nomination.
It was basically to say average, ordinary, run-of-the-mill Democrat voters can't be trusted to do the right thing in the primaries, so we need these superdelegates, these party hacks, to make good on any mistakes that the idiots in our party commit with...
their vote in the primaries uh the the these these rules they've been around for a long time but basically this whole primary structure uh Mrs. Clinton is just she just she I can understand this too I mean she's trying to get any edge that she can and point out that in a normal Democrat process or democratic process she would have emerged victorious the real point the real thing you'll learn from this is that the Democrat Party is not a democratic process in the way they set up the rules they can have the rules any way they want they are a private organization
and they can do whatever they want uh But you know, she was she's hoisted on her own petard here.
I knew the rules going into this.
She just run a lousy campaign.
Thought they were going to have this wrapped up in February.
There's another thing out there, too.
You know, I I keep watching the drive-by's report all of this.
Uh, and and they're they're they're tying themselves into knots out there.
They think it's just fine and dandy for Obama to go out and brag about the 90% black vote that he is getting.
But on the other hand, you know, when Hillary goes out there and talks about all the white votes she's getting, they want to lyncher.
And then when they when they get the gonads to suggest that Barry's low percentage of white voters might be a tiny bit of a problem, then the drive-by's go nuts, racist, racist, racist.
I can't believe that Clinton's doing this in a Democrat Party.
So I have a question.
Just a simple question founded in logic.
Why is Hillary's great strength with white women?
Working stiffs.
Why is that not as equally as impressive as Obama's strength with black people?
How come she doesn't get to crow about that?
How come Obama and his gang can sit out there and say, whoo, look what we're doing, 90% of the black vote.
We own it.
It is a total disconnect, and it's funny to see these liberal people tie themselves into all these knots.
And I'll tell you this if the drive-by media was honest, they would be saying, they would have said last night that it was a racist decision for Obama not to campaign in West Virginia.
That he must be a racist for avoiding the white people in that state.
Well, you can look at it that.
What did he do?
So Hillary is going to have this big win.
She wins by over 40 points, and they're still telling her to get out of this.
She wins by 40 points.
Obama trains off the tracks.
Obama is showing he cannot win where he has to win, but they are afraid to take this away from him.
They don't dare.
But she's going to be able to make a case and she's not going anywhere.
She's going to make a case.
So what does Obama do?
Goes to Missouri, speaks at six o'clock tonight, trying to take something front and center stage.
Six o'clock at night, trying to take front and center stage.
Carl Rove said last night that he's really coming off like a sore loser.
He really is coming off like a sore.
And he gave up a golden opportunity for free media time to make a great conciliatory speech.
If everybody's trying to unify the party, why didn't Obama play along last night, knowing he was going to get shocked out there to go on TV, take advantage of the free media time instead of going into Cape Girardo to have a little town meeting with a hundred people that didn't get a whole lot of wide coverage at the time.
Well, CNN PMS NBC did carry the thing live, but he blew an opportunity to speak later in the night.
Free media to be conciliated and unify.
Because Obama's the Messiah, and he's the great unifier, and last night he did.
He acted like a spoiled little kid.
Acted like a spoiled little kid, and then went out, made some of the most stupid comments I've heard yet.
That the reason we need to get out of Iraq is so that our Arabic translators can go help out in Afghanistan.
When nobody in Afghanistan speaks Arabic.
Then he made that idiotic, uninformed, ignorant comment about the housing crisis, reminding him of the Great Depression.
I'll tell you, these Democrats superdelegates.
I I there was a time I thought that they were quaking in their boots over this.
They have got to be looking.
They have to see.
This guy is not winning the states they have to win.
He's not, he's not even coming close to winning the states they have to win.
He does not have momentum.
Outside of North Carolina, he didn't win anything big, maybe Mississippi since February 22nd.
But they so hate the Clintons.
That's that's that's what's so obvious.
the Democrat Party, they probably want to get rid of the Clintons more than you do.
And they can see it and they can taste it.
And so it it's going to be interesting to see how this all falls out.
She did pick up a couple superdelegates today, too, I should point out.
A headline in a story by Roger Simon at Politico.com.
Hillary wins.
Does anybody care?
I care, Roger.
It's called Operation Chaos.
Of course we want Hillary to keep winning here.
What Roger actually means is do the drive bys care.
Howard Kurtz, Washington Post says, I don't understand.
The cable networks keep saying it's a big deal, but it's not a big deal.
I mean, she had a landslide victory, Leslie.
It has to count for something.
It's got to mean something.
And yet everybody's telling her to get out.
In the media.
The media's wrong.
When you're gonna quit Hill.
She's not doing it for you in the media.
You people in the drive-bys are not the center of the universe for people in politics, despite how they treat you.
From the politico.com, women, comma churchgoers fuel Clinton win.
High turnout among female voters and regular church goers combined with widespread concern over the economy propelled Hillary to her overwhelming West Virginia primary victory on Tuesday.
According to Obama, these are the really bitter clingers.
The really bitter clingers.
Oh, I've got to address this.
This is going to be tough for me.
Because it comes in one of my all-time favorite websites.
And that is Bob Tyrell's American Spectator dot org.
Or maybe it's not command not sure which.
And I like this writer.
His name is Jay Humnick.
His piece that I have some commentary on is called a closet race in West Virginia.
My father's mother was born in New York City in 1900, passed away in Roanoke, Virginia, 1975.
She grew up among poor immigrants in New York who barely made ends meet.
She told me that they devised a way to save face when friends stopped by to say hello.
Traditionally they would have invited the visitors to stay for a meal, but they couldn't afford it if the people said yes.
So they would issue this self-canceling offer.
If you have a sense of humor, I'd like you to stay for dinner.
Something of this sort occurred in West Virginia the other night when they held a Democrat primary for president, if you have a sense of humor.
The winner of the Democrat nomination has been a foregone conclusion for some time now, but there are two classes of people who have failed to notice.
One is people whose last name is Clinton, and the other is people who would vote for any white person before any black person.
The most shocking part of the story is that Madame Clinton pulled up in that state expressly to pander to that audience.
The racists.
Within hours of arriving there last week, she was explaining to an interviewer that she was most adept at gaining the votes of white people.
Apparently, she's proud of being the senator in the state of Alabaster.
Forgetting even the issue of racism per se, with all its attendant ugliness, there is something uniquely horrific in seeing this attitude operating to the political extent or in the political context.
To consider the notion of a candidacy transacted on the basis, even the winking basis of quote, vote for me, I ain't no n-word, is to look into the heart of real darkness.
Did Hillary do that?
Was it was that you tell me, Mr. Snorwin, when she says she can go out there she can get the white votes, was she saying vote for me, I ain't no N-word.
What's going to say, okay, so okay, when she says, yeah, hardworking white women vote for me.
Hardworking white people.
I get the votes hard working.
So she you you you you can see a point here.
That she might be saying, vote for me, I ain't no N-word.
This sort of paleontology was supposed to be a thing of the past, although for the Clintons, nothing is too old or too dirty or too nasty or too divisive if it gets you a vote.
Senator Obama is a leftist with some very weak ideas about confronting national enemies, and as such he should be opposed by the forces of realism.
But a part of his idealism should be embraced.
Now remember, this is a conservative, this is a conservative publication.
A part of his idealism should be embraced, the part that asks us to view him through a glass lightly.
In this respect, he should be seen as a candidate representing both parties.
Republicans in their right minds should be making the message clear.
That is the guy I'd be voting for if I thought his ideas were on target.
Now, my problem here, aside from the fact that I don't like, you know, normally when I cite the American spectator, it's with praise, but this gives me pause because all this racism's on the Democrat side.
It's Mrs. Clinton that said whatever she said that might have implied the use of the N-word.
I don't know.
Republicans aren't saying any of this stuff.
Mr. Homnik forgets that conservatives already don't care how blackberry is.
It's from the get go.
It's been the Democrats who asked, is he dark enough?
Is he black enough?
Is he authentic enough?
It was they who came up with the phrase Barack the magic Negro.
It's the Democrats doing this.
Why do we Republicans owe it to ourselves to look at this guy as a candidate representing both parties?
What the hell did we do here?
What the hell are we guilty of that we need to be running around saying, make a point of?
What am I supposed to open to Shovel?
You know what?
That's a guy I would vote for if his ideas were on target.
What am I supposed to say this because the presumption that I'm a racist is something I need to dispel when the Democrats are demonstrating unabashed, pure, 100% thoroughbred undiluted racism every day in this campaign?
Both of the Clintons are.
And Obama is too, for crying out loud.
Let's let's not let him off the hook.
What is this talk about his idealism?
The part that asks us to view him through a glass lightly?
What the hell here?
This is the guy with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
This is a guy, best Bishop Desmond Tutu said yesterday, that Jeremiah Wright is saying what blacks all around the world really think?
Uh, I...
Obama lost this Messiah image many, many moons ago.
This is just this is I I'm stunned.
I'm I'm maybe I'm misinterpreting this.
Republicans in their right minds ought to be making the message clear this is the guy I'd be voting for if I thought his ideas were on target.
If you ask me, the party that has genuine black success stories and achievement and triumph is the Republican Party.
What excuses do we have to continue to make?
Now, Mr. Homnik finishes his piece.
This was not Hillary Clinton's finest hour, nor West Virginia's.
The persistent sense, fanned by interviewees and poll responders that the plebiscite there was a referendum on the compatibility of pigment with government was an embarrassment to that state's many fine denizens.
John Denver's sunny country roads were never meant to exclude.
I pray that we are never again forced to use our senses of humor to grit our teeth through another such event.
Again, what did Republicans have to do with this?
What did conservatives have to do with this?
These are Democrat voters we are talking about here.
These are Democrat voters in West Virginia who participated in the exit polls that gave us all these racial and other bits of information about who they are.
This is strictly the Republican primary for all intents and purposes was months ago.
Republicans weren't even on the field last night.
We are talking about Democrats here.
We're talking about both Clinton's throwing a race card.
We're throwing Obama bringing out Jeremiah Wright.
Look.
It's not just people in West Virginia who find Jeremiah Wright repugnant.
And it's not just white people who find Jeremiah Wright repugnant.
There are a lot of black people who are embarrassed by the guy when he gets rolling on these riff sermons of his because they think they're going to be stigmatized.
The old guilt by association thing.
But I don't see what the Republicans have to do with any of this.
And I don't see why we have to run around telling the whole world, that's the guy I'd vote for.
Or...
If his policies were on target.
When Obama himself is doing everything he can to facilitate the racial divide that's taking place in the Democrat Party.
Mr. Homnik, I've enjoyed your work over the years, and I've cited it many times.
We Republicans have our own problems.
It ain't racist.
Our problem is that liberals are taking over our party, and nobody's doing anything about it at the party level.
We'll be back in just a second.
Back to the phones.
We go to uh Greenville, South Carolina.
This is Tim.
I'm glad you called, sir.
Great to have you here.
Thank you.
I know you're dealing with difficult times, but I want you to know that there's countless of us out here who love you and we're with you.
Um I'm calling about the mortgage crisis.
Uh I heard Barack say, and I've heard Hillary say and even John Edwards say that the reason for this is this the unscrupulous uh lenders and mortgage lenders and bankers and brokers who took advantage.
Predatory is the word.
Yeah, the predatory guys.
Well, at every mortgage closing I've ever been to, there's an attorney representing the borrower who is supposed to protect their client.
And if indeed all of these lenders, especially at this level, took advantage, then the attorneys fail to do their job.
It would be subject to malpractice suit.
And thus maybe the source of funds to pay these mortgages back off.
Well, exactly right.
And one of the points you're illustrating is that all of this that we're being told that caused this is a bunch of hooey.
It was a bunch of BS.
The only difference between it and a bag of manure is the bag.
The bottom line is that there wasn't any predatory lending going on out there.
Uh the U.S. government was told to make the American dream available to people that couldn't afford it.
Lenders had to go out and do it.
They had to find some way to fund these mortgages, people couldn't pay back.
But the dirty, the dirty little secret out there, Tim, is that a lot of these so-called walkaway foreclosures, people just walking away before they're foreclosed on, not even people occupied their houses.
They were speculators.
Yeah.
It's illegal.
It's the whole thing.
It's being this is an election year.
Democrats are, I think, doing exactly with this, what they're doing with gasoline prices and food prices.
They're trying to make everybody in the country think that we're headed for a depression, a recession.
It's horrible out there.
We need more government regulation.
We mean more more government control.
The Republicans hate you.
Republicans don't care about you.
Republicans want you to die.
Republicans want you to get cancer.
They want you to get sick.
They want you to be poor and in poverty and so forth.
But in fact, it's the Democrats that want all that.
So they control your health care, control your income, uh, control your movements, your whereabouts, so forth and so on.
But uh, excellent point.
There's another factor.
You know, people don't talk about this.
But for people who were foreclosed on and who were living in their homes, there was a way for these people to perhaps forestall that day.
Renee Tankless Water Heater.
Do you realize how much money you could save if you had a Renee tankless water heater in your house, not wasting all of that water and money heating it up, then it cools off, never used, and you heat it back up again, all that gas, all that water, and then you've only got a certain amount of it.
And if a whole family shows up, and of course, if you're in one of these homes and your friends don't have a home, they're coming over to your place, take showers, time they get finished, you have no hot water, would not be the case with a Renee tankless water heater.
You can do all the dishes, you can do all the clothes, you'd have four showers going at the same time, and you will never run out of hot water.
And you're saving money at the same time.
You will not be foreclosed on.
With a Renee Tankless Water Heater.
You're on borrowed time with your regular tank water.
The average regular water heater, if you have one older than seven years, it's on its last legs.
You know it and I know it.
You owe your bank account a couple minutes to just learn more about Renee Tankless Water Heaters.
Go to Foreverhotwater.com.
See how it works, how much you can save every month, and keep the foreclosure banks away from your door.
Title of Two and Like to Get To Know You.
Spanky and Our Gang, 1968.
She's from this is Mama's and Papa's ripoff group.
She's from Illinois someplace, so Barack Obama state.
The um Huffington Post here.
Does Obama even need the Jewish vote?
No.
No, of course not.
Sam Stein, author of the piece here.
No, doesn't need the Jews, he doesn't need the whites, he doesn't need workers, he doesn't need the women.
He doesn't need anybody.
We're gonna anoint Obama.
Look at who he doesn't need.
He doesn't need the white people.
He doesn't need women.
He doesn't need Jewish people.
Does well he're not gonna get the Hispanic vote.
He doesn't need the Hispanic vote.
Look at this is what everybody's missing about Obama.
He doesn't need votes, period.
He is the Messiah.
You know, he's the Kentucky uh primary's coming up.
And they've put out Obama, you can see a picture of this on Drudge.
They've actually put out a flyer called Faith Hope Change Barack Obama for president, and it's a picture of him at a pulpit with a giant cross behind him in a church.
And then you open it up, and there's more pictures of Obama inside churches.
Faith Hope Change.
Now everybody remembers when Governor Huckabee ran an ad last December, and the camera moved around, there were lights in the room.
Bookcase.
The light hit the bookcase, and it looked like he was the cross was being illuminated behind Huckabee.
And you remember the religious left went literally bonkers on Huckabee.
Separation of church and state, they cried.
Subliminal religious messages, trying to say that he was God's chosen candidate.
Here's right out in the open here with Obama.
Right out in the open.
Ready to do the Lord's work, is actually some of the text in this little pamphlet in Kentucky.
Ready to do the Lord's work.
They are trying to get back to the Messiah mantle.
And of course, nobody's upset about this.
The drive-by is under ups.
Mrs. Clinton, you and Bill, you've been in your share of churches.
Are you going to let them take that from you too?
Are you gonna let the are you gonna let Obama take away your you Clintons, especially you, Bill?
You saved a bunch of black churches from burning.
Well, he said he did.
I mean, here's well, he said he saw it when he was growing up and he wanted you to let it happen again.
So now he doesn't need a Jewish vote, he doesn't need a white vote, doesn't need the Hispanic vote, doesn't need the white vote, he doesn't need votes.
He will be anointed.
