Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
Even without me, for four days, Operation Chaos is proceeding beautifully, ladies and gentlemen.
The Democrat dream team is now in a total nightmare.
It is a total nightmare.
As Operation Chaos continues to draw Democrats into bloody bickering throughout the country.
Greetings, my friends, and welcome.
Rush Limbaugh.
Happy to be back with you as we are firmly ensconced here behind the Golden EIB microphone at the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Looking forward to talking to you today.
The telephone number is 800-282-2882.
The email address is LRushbaugh at EIBnet.com.
So, Barack Obama, talking to a bunch of elitist millionaires and billionaires in San Francisco on April 6th, basically reveals what we have all known that all Democrats think of the people who make this country work.
They hold average people in contempt.
They don't think average people are capable of overcoming the obstacles in life.
They think they're racists and bigots, homophobes and all of this, a bunch of hayseed hicks.
This really isn't news to those of us who have spent our lives studying leftists.
But what's great about it is that Operation Chaos is working exactly as designed.
We are exceeding all of our objectives here because what's happening here is that the Democrat Party, by itself, with its two top-tier presidential frontrunners, is exposing who they are themselves for one and all to see.
And the Democrat Party is in an absolute mess over this because they know full well when they're in their little doors behind their doors, their little cloakrooms in the privacy of their own moments, they are gnashing their teeth over the fact that the truth of who they are is coming out.
Let's go to the audio tape just to just to establish here what Obama said in San Francisco on April 6th.
He was at a campaign fundraiser.
And this is just a portion of his remarks here.
It's internet quality.
The quality is not all that good, but you can still hear it.
And it's indicative of who liberal Democrats are.
Most importantly, it's indicative of who Obama is.
Obama is a radical socialist liberal.
He always has been.
His campaign has been an effort to cloud that, to mask it, to cover it up.
Operation Chaos, ladies and gentlemen, has succeeded in bringing the truth of both who Mrs. Clinton and Barack Obama are to the surface for one and all to see.
So let me repeat that because it's very difficult to hear.
It's not surprising then they get bitter.
They cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
So basically, people are a bunch of racists and bigots and kooks and hayseeds.
Here's a fuller transcript.
But the truth is, our challenge is to get people persuaded we can make progress when there's not evidence of that in their daily lives.
You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them.
And they fell through the Clinton administration and the Bush administration.
Each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate, and they haven't.
And it's not surprising then they get bitter.
They cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.
Now, these are in some communities, you know.
I think what you'll find is that people of every background are going to be a mix of people.
You go to the toughest neighborhoods, you know, working-class lunch pail folks.
You'll find Obama enthusiasts.
And you go into places where you think I'd be very strong, and people will just be skeptical.
The important thing is that you show up and you're doing what you're doing.
So he makes these comments to a bunch of elitist San Francisco millionaires and billionaires.
And the point here has to be made that Obama was not just talking about the people of Pennsylvania.
He was talking about people in Missouri, in southern Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, Kansas, North Carolina, Alabama, flyover country, the people who make the country work.
He is talking about all the people who did not use affirmative action to get into Harvard and Yale and Princeton, who don't have the money to live in mansions in the cities.
The people who, I say, make this country work, the people who will be in church on Sunday clinging to their God, not because that they have nothing else to hold on to.
They cling to God.
They're not even clinging to God.
They are worshiping.
They are worshiping God.
It is part of who they are.
Now, this to me, folks, makes all the Jeremiah Wright, Michelle Obama stuff crystal clear to anybody just glimpsing this.
Damn the middle class.
Damn it.
Michelle Obama has said as much, and so has Reverend Wright from the pulpit.
The middle class, the people who pay the freight, the people who pay the taxes so these elites can destroy the country, the people who make the country work.
Now, what's happened here, folks, is that Barack Obama has succeeded in attacking not only American values, he's done it by attacking the Americans who embrace those values.
He has stepped in it here.
He attacked the Americans who embrace good old American values.
And he's portraying this country as in a depression.
He's portraying these people as having no economic future.
He is lying about the status of the people he is talking about.
He's lying about their economic status.
They haven't had jobs for 25 years.
They are bitter and they are angry.
And why are they bitter and angry?
Because the government hadn't done anything for them.
As though they have no ability on their own to overcome the obstacles in life.
And until somebody's in the White House who actually cares about the grievances of these racists and bigots and can get their economy back on track, they're still going to continue to be mad.
It is one of the most insulting comments that a presidential candidate could make.
He's going out, he's attacking the customers.
He's attacking his voters.
But this is who they are.
This is who liberals are.
The great thing about this is that Barack Obama is telling all of us what all Democrats think of average Americans, which is why they want them to become dependent, why they want them to vote Democrat.
They want them to be undereducated.
They want them to be bigoted.
They want them to be angry all the time.
They want them to be fed up.
They want them to be filled with rage.
They want them to be hopeless.
They want them, contrary to his campaign being all about hope, he wants these people to be hopeless.
He wants them to be looking at the future and seeing nothing but darkness.
That's how they turn these people into angry, enraged victims so that they end up voting Democrat for the false promise of happiness and economic security and independence.
Well, you can go take a look at any program authored by liberal Democrats aimed to fix people in dire economic circumstances.
And I dare you to come back and tell me where any of them have succeeded.
Quite the contrary.
They have done exactly what Democrats and Obama now want them to do.
They have gotten angry.
They're med and they're fed up and they're depressed and they're blaming everybody for their problems because they've been sold out.
They have been underestimated as human beings.
Democrats look at them and see pure incompetence, inability, and they foster that and they promote that.
And they tell these people, you have no chance because this is a racist country.
It's a biased country.
It's a prejudiced country, all because of the Republicans, all because of conservatives who hate you.
If there's hate for the people who make this country work, if there is contempt for the people who make this country work, its home is smack dab in the middle of the Democrat Party.
You talk about bitter?
Barack Obama hangs around people who are bitter to the core.
His entire inner circle is filled with almost insane rage.
Jeremiah Wright, this other preacher, this Hayes fellow, he even married a person that's filled with hatred and rage based on her own words, Michelle Obama.
We now have, ladies and gentlemen, a very clear understanding of who he is.
Forget about Hillary.
We know who Hillary is.
Barack Obama has been attracted to extreme radical elements his entire life in college.
Saul Olinski after law school.
The Reverend Jeremiah Wright, this is who he is.
And when we point this out, we are called racists or McCarthyites.
Or they say that this is guilt by association.
No need to amplify these words.
Rush, I mean, he said it, but he didn't mean it.
You're just exacerbating the problem here.
But the comments that he made a week ago were not from Karl Marx or Saul Olinski or Jeremiah Wright or Michelle Obama.
They were straight out of his mouth.
Now, here's the challenge, as it always is.
The challenge is whether he and the media will be able to change the subject.
He said what he said.
And what he said was that Middle America is full of redneck, God-fearing racists and bigots.
That's what he said.
He also said that Middle America is bitter.
He doesn't see Middle America as strong and forward-looking, a force for greatness here and in the world.
He doesn't see Middle America as the place that makes this country work.
No, no, no.
He and his elitest buddies and their brilliance and their worldview, in their minds, they're the ones who make the country work.
Barack Obama and the Democrat Party couldn't do half or more of what is necessary every day in this country for it to work.
They haven't the slightest idea.
They haven't the slightest clue.
You talk about being out of touch.
This is it.
Barack Obama in his own words.
See, he's bitter.
Liberals are bitter and angry.
You know this.
You can listen to them talk about any circumstance in this country, any issue, from the war in Iraq to the economy to Walmart to big oil to big drug, anything they talk about.
They are filled with rage.
They are angry and they want everybody else to be angry.
They are bitter.
And some are saying that Obama's effort here was trying to be sympathetic in his perverted liberal manner that he was trying to relate to them.
That he's bitter too, that they have a right to be bitter because they've been shafted.
They've been shafted by government.
They've been shafted by Republicans, and he's trying to relate to them.
He thinks they should be bitter, because he is.
He and his fellow leftists are bitter, but they should look in the mirror.
Now, the media is trying to help him out here.
They're turning on Hillary.
When did she last go to church?
When was she for guns?
After three days, that's the spin they finally settled on.
Plus, well, that's not what he was trying to say.
What he really meant to say was, and of course, he may have a point.
They're always spinning for this guy, and they're always cleaning up his messes, just as they used to for the Clintons.
But that's not the issue.
We knew about Hillary Clinton.
The issue is that Obama exposed his attitude toward millions and millions of Americans, which he had thus far concealed by dismissing previous efforts to reveal them based on his contacts and associations with people like Jeremiah Wright.
This makes it totally clear to me why he will not disown and disavow Wright.
He agrees with him.
This is the same stuff that Jeremiah Wright believes.
And his attitude is shared by the left in the media, the Democrat Party, universities, colleges, and so forth.
When he made those comments to the San Francisco millionaires and billionaires, he was reinforcing their hateful and bigoted views.
You have to know that elite liberals, wherever you find them, on the left coast, in the northeastern corridors of power, they despise average, ordinary Americans.
They look down their noses at them.
How many times have I told you the story of elitist Republicans in the Northeast who have told me and come up to me, what are you going to do about the Christians?
They're destroying our party.
Elites are the same wherever you find them.
He shares the bigoted, elitist, hateful views of his audience in San Francisco.
He did not misspeak.
Hillary is irrelevant in all of this.
That's all diversionary.
Barack Obama's in the process of being given a pass on all this, but he is the most radical Democrat to run for president in my lifetime.
And I'm going to include McGovern and Walter Mondall and John Kerry on that list.
And I will guarantee you, the Democrat Party is worried, sick, and there is blood on the floor because they think that Obama had this brilliant strategy.
He was not even a black candidate.
He was a unity candidate.
He was above all this.
He was going to unite people.
And now he's become the candidate of race.
He's become the candidate of hate, the candidate of bigotry.
He has demonstrated once and for all exactly what the entire Democrat Party is for.
Senator Obama has asked for time on this program to issue an apology.
Here it is.
We haven't even scratched the surface yet, folks.
So be patient.
Rush Limbaugh, America's real anchor man, truth detector, doctor of democracy here behind the golden EIB microphone.
I'm watching, I wasn't watching less less.
I was recuperating from the weekend last night.
I was just resting, and I got an email flash.
Are you watching this compassion for him on CNN?
I said, hell no.
What do I need to watch?
A bunch of liberals and a compassion forum on CNN.
Well, you got to watch this.
You got to see, you got to see what Obama's saying.
I said, I don't need to see it.
I know these people.
Nevertheless, I turned it on.
And I'm watching Marxist Christians in the audience.
I'm watching these Marxist evangelicals.
And by the way, you know what's interesting?
An evangelical can be a Marxist liberal or socialist.
And the drive-bys never once care about crossing the line that separates church and state.
So Obama and Hillary can go to a religious college and have all kinds of politics mixed in here.
And it's just wonderful.
Because, of course, half the people stood up and asked these questions last night are just pure socialist evangelicals.
And there's one guy that stood up, why does I happen to turn it on and said, would you, Barack, commit to cutting poverty in half in 10 years?
Well, now, what is a socialist going to say in answer to that question?
I think Obama's going to say, hell no, I'm not going to commit to that.
We can't do it.
No, he said, I am going to tackle that with humility.
He makes the commitment with humility.
Now, I'll tell you why that question frustrated me.
For how many years have we had a war on poverty in this country?
At least 50?
And what are the results of the war on poverty in this country?
We haven't wiped it out.
The percentage of people in poverty today, expressed as a percentage of our population, is pretty much the same as it was when the war on poverty began.
And who's run the war on poverty?
Who created the whole program?
LBJ, Liberal Democrats.
It was their entitlement.
And they've been adding and adding money to it each and every year.
Now they advertise for food stamp recipients.
Have we gotten rid of poverty?
We have not.
So these idiots in the audience stand up and say, when are you going to do something about poverty?
We have been trying, and we've been trying it the wrong way.
The way for people out of poverty is economic growth.
The way for people out of poverty is education, high expectations, inspiration and motivation.
You're never going to get people who are stuck in poverty.
Most people are not, by the way.
People move in and out of various income quintiles.
But the people that are stuck there are not going to get out of it sitting around waiting for government handouts.
It just isn't going to happen.
People have to do this themselves.
They have to be trained, educated, inspired, and motivated to do it.
We'll never be able to count on Democrats to do that because they don't want those people out of poverty.
Half my brain tied behind my back.
Just to make it fair, Rushland bought a brand new week of broadcast excellence on the EIB network.
So Obama says that people go to church when they're bitter.
They go to church to cling to things.
Wrong, senator, they go to worship because they believe.
Now, get the, I mean, there's another aspect of this that you have to understand.
Obama implied that when people's lives are tough and they become bitter, that's when people turn to and need the church and God.
So in Obama's perverted worldview, church is equated to something you participate in when things are going bad.
You only go there because things are not going well and you need to cling to something.
So if liberals have power and make things right, then people won't have to go to church or go as much because they won't be bitter.
Instead, people will swell the congregation of the liberal church of government.
And this is exactly how they think.
This is a gold mine, folks.
The problem is getting people to accept this and believe it for what it is because the drive-by is going to be out there smearing this and rephrasing this and trying to try to divert everybody from it.
And in fact, Obama himself is out there saying, hey, wait a minute, wait a minute.
You just didn't hear me correctly.
You people are stupid.
You can't figure out what I was trying to say.
So it's our fault that we didn't hear Barack Obama correctly.
This is an attempt by Obama and his buddies in the media to once again recast this as something that it wasn't because this is bad.
This is crucially bad for him.
Think about this.
I am a man of words, a man of many words.
If I say something that my opponents think they can jump on and they do it often, the media don't give me a pass.
They don't try to find out what it was I really tried to say.
They don't find out what it was I really said.
They don't even listen to me.
They go to websites to find out what I said and they just react to it time and again.
And then they loop what I say and they distort it.
They twist it.
They turn it to the point where people don't even recognize it.
But in Obama's case, a candidate for president, not a talk show host, his words only have meaning if they can be characterized as brilliant and historic.
If his words cannot be characterized as brilliant and historic, then it's our fault for not understanding.
He's so much smarter than all of us.
When he trashes tens of millions of Americans, his words are to be parsed in ways that save his candidacy.
His stupidity, which is what this is, is totally excused.
So here you have the media again.
Oh, by the way, guess what the media is out there trying to do now?
This is classic.
There's a story here in my stack.
McCain more conservative than his image.
Huh.
Really?
Okay, now we have a story.
McCain more conservative than his image.
The media's attempt to portray him as a right-winger.
And this, of course, is being done purposefully, too.
This is to hurt McCain with the beautiful people that McCain seeks to enlist as voters, but which will have the unintended effect of convincing some conservatives they've got nothing to fear from a McCain presidency, despite his record of appealing to so many liberal policies.
So this is sort of a catch-22 for Senator McCain.
He wants liberals and independents Democrats to vote for him.
And now the drive-bys are saying, he's more conservative than you think, which could have the unintended consequence of fooling some conservatives.
Hey, it may not be so bad.
At the same time, driving liberal Democrats away.
And make no mistake, that's one of the objectives of the drive-by media is to make sure that as many Democrats, liberals, independents, and what have you, do not end up voting for McCain come November.
So in the process, you've got the drive-bys, again, spewing the Obama campaign's talking points.
He is the wronged person.
So now he's going on offensive against those who dare to expose him.
But his comments in San Francisco raise serious questions about his integrity.
You know, this is one of the things, too, that has preceded him as a public image, full of integrity, full of honor, a bright new shining face, no baggage.
People's, well, Rush, he can't have any baggage.
If he had any baggage, the Clintons would have found it.
If he had something really that people could destroy him with, you know, the Clintons would have found it, and they've been out there with it all.
There may not be anything, Rush.
Maybe not.
Who knows?
But there is him.
And we're finding out who he is.
And we're finding out that he's no different than the most radical liberal Democrat that the party has ever nominated.
He's just another one of them in a long line.
And the fact of the matter is, he's scared.
He can't be honest about what he really thinks on the record.
This is an off-the-record comment to a bunch of fat cat donors in San Francisco of all places.
But in public, would he dare say something like this?
No, because he knows it would be harmful.
So classic, true to form, right out of the Democrat Party playbook.
You got to mask yourself.
You got to camouflage yourself.
You cannot tell people who you really are.
He says one thing to the billionaires in San Francisco and another to blue-collar workers in central Pennsylvania.
His comments, let's get to some specifics about this.
His comments show that he could care less about the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms, when he says that people cling to guns.
Does he know the founding heritage of hunting and guns in our early 13 colonies?
You have slightest idea?
And then to say that they're bitter and that that explains their animosity towards people who are not like them, which is what he was saying to his billionaire friends in San Francisco, is to say that middle America is racist and xenophobic.
You know what he's doing?
He's portraying these people, those of you who live in small towns all over the country, as being a declining group of people who no longer can stand to see all the brown people in the country, be they black, be they illegal immigrants, be they mixed heritage, and you're just fed up out there and you're fit to be tied and you're angry.
So you cling to gun and you cling to God and you cling to all these things because you're feeling left out.
Obama wants you to think that you should be mad, that he's mad about it too.
These are not misstatements.
There was no misunderstanding.
These are deeply held beliefs on the part of Barack Obama because they are deeply held beliefs on the part of most prominent liberal Democrats.
By the way, these sentiments reflect almost precisely the belief system of one pastor Jeremiah Wright.
The spending, the defending of Obama focused on bitter.
Of course, people are bitter when they're unemployed.
Of course, they are bitter when the government makes promises and doesn't keep them.
Of course, they are bitter when advantages are given to other people that don't deserve it.
Of course, they're bitter about things.
They're bitter about taxes going up.
They're bitter about the cost of food because of liberal policies.
They're bitter about the price of gasoline.
They don't understand why that's happening.
They're bitter about a lot of things, but they're Americans.
And if they're bitter about certain things, you know, join the club.
A lot of you are too.
The real war we face in this country, folks, aside from the war with the Islamo fascists, the real war we face in this country is with the American left.
The American left is destroying this country.
It is dispiriting as many Americans as it can.
It is attempting to tear down the traditions and the institutions that have made this country great.
It is taking away freedom.
As I have said before, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness.
Democrats are not for life.
They're the ones leading the charge as many abortions as possible.
Liberty.
Don't talk to me about liberty.
They don't want you to have very much.
They want you to not be able to choose kind of light bulbs you have.
They want to sequester the kind of uses of your property where you can and cannot smoke, what you can and can't do here or there.
Liberty is not part of it, because liberty and control of the population don't go together.
Pursuit of happiness, when are they happy?
They are not happy.
Barack Obama's not happy.
He's embittered.
His wife is embittered.
His pastor is embittered.
And he's trying to make everybody else feel as embittered as he is.
This is what they consider their route to power.
This is a complete misunderstanding of the American people, as articulated by Obama in San Francisco.
But even putting that aside, he called millions and millions of Americans racist.
He called into question their commitment to their religions.
He dismissed their desired desires under the Bill of Rights to have guns as a psychological tool, only because they're bitter, because they got to be ready for when no people of color are going to come around the corner and maybe steal from them.
The next illegal immigrant comes around, I got to be prepared to shoot them.
That's how they look at you.
That's how liberal Democrats look at you, not just Obama.
And the reason he's lashing out in all directions today is because he and his handlers know what a possible disaster this is.
I mean, you cannot condescend to and smear the people whose votes you seek and who you hope to lead one day.
That's un-American because that's a put-down of the people.
It shows also the complete lack of humility and an inability to unite people despite claims to the contrary.
There is no way somebody that looks at his own country this way can possibly unite it.
A brief time out.
We'll take a commercial break here in the EIB Obscene Profit Center time.
I'll be right back after this.
Don't go away.
Ha, welcome back, Rush Limbaugh, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have right in the midst of Operation Chaos.
Now, on Saturday, excuse me, Barack Obama backtracked.
He said, obviously, if I'd worded things in a way that made people offended, I'd deeply regret that.
And then that was in North Carolina, Winston-Salem, in Muncie, Indiana.
He called the controversy interesting.
He said, lately, there's been a little typical sort of political flare-up because I said something that everybody knows is true, which is that there are a whole bunch of folks in small towns in Pennsylvania and towns right here in Indiana, my hometown, Illinois, who are bitter.
They are angry.
They feel like they've been left behind.
They feel like nobody's paying attention to what they're going through.
So I said, well, you know, when you're bitter and you turn to what you can count on, so people vote about guns and they take comfort from their faith in their family and their community and they get mad about illegal immigrants who are coming over to this country or they get frustrated about how things are changing.
It's a natural response.
And now, I didn't say it as well as I should have because you know the truth is that these traditions that are passed on from generation to generation, those are important.
So it just, it's our fault.
We don't have the brains to understand what he meant.
It's just, it's just, we don't have the ability.
And we knew what he meant, but we don't want to admit it.
And everybody knows it's true that people in small towns.
Let me, there are no bitter people in San Francisco.
San Francisco got to be one of the bitterest towns in the country.
You go to parts of New York, you're going to find a whole lot of bitter people and nothing small town about New York.
I mean, there's a lot of bitter people out there.
The question is why?
For crying out loud, folks, if you deigned to watch a whole lot of news television 24-7 or just three hours a day or two hours a day, I will guarantee you you're going to be mad.
What Obama doesn't understand is what some of these people are bitter about.
He thinks they're bitter because nobody cares about them.
Nobody cares about their circumstypical liberal attitude.
That people all over the country are looking to Washington for somebody to care about them and to somebody who noticed their pain and their suffering and then to go do something about it.
And the very people he's talking about are the kind of people who overcome obstacles like this on their own.
It is part of their ethic.
You want to talk tradition?
These are the people who make the country work for crying out loud.
He has no concept of it.
He has no clue whatsoever.
And because of Operation Chaos, it is all being exposed.
And Mrs. Clinton graciously gotten out of this race after Texas or Ohio.
Most of what's gone on since then would not have gone on.
In fact, the Los Angeles Times Today story by Peter Nichols, I'm sorry, Nicholas, bitter remarks cloud faith and values forum.
And this thing was, this compassion forum last night was an insult.
You know, I watched that thing last night, and that's what scares me.
That there are that many uneducated, uninformed people in this country.
The very most expensive commodity we have is ignorance, and it was on display at that compassion forum last night.
But anyway, in this LA Times story, Democrat strategist Dave Mudcat Saunders, who specializes in a rural strategy, said he was offended by Obama's remark.
It's a systematic problem in the Democrat Party.
I'm sick and tired of the Democrat stereotypes of small-town rural working people.
He said Obama's going to have a hard time talking me out of his feeling that the comment was offensive.
I never heard of Dave Mudcat Saunders, but Dave Mudcat Saunders is a Democrat strategicist specializing in rural strategy, and he's nailed it.
He is fed up with a Democrat stereotyping small-town rural working people as a bunch of hayseed hick, religion-believing, gun rack in the back of the pickup, going on Saturday night to get the best parking spot at church the next day, and then heading off to a NASCAR race.
For how many years have we accurately portrayed the Democrat view of average Americans in this country?
And Obama has simply articulated it.
To the phones, Robert in Paramus, New Jersey, you're up first today, sir.
Nice to have you here.
How you doing, Rush?
Good, thank you.
Okay, yeah.
What you've done is actually take what he's meant and completely spun it around.
Now, let me tell you, he's not the first person to say this.
Clinton said almost the same exact thing, almost word for word in 91, and he was even harsher.
Diversionary tactic, not about Clinton, and he's not running.
I don't know, folks, but he's not going to be able to do it.
But you might, if you want to quote Clinton, I know what Clinton said.
I've got it here in my stack.
It's just more evidence of what Democrats really think.
What did he say?
Well, let me find it here.
I can tell you if you.
Tell me what he said.
He said all these economically insecure white people are scared to death.
And basically what he meant was what the right wing was doing was trying to pit black against white and scare them with, oh, they're going to take our religion.
They're going to take our guns.
They're going to put in gay marriages.
Robert.
It's the same old game plan you guys have been running for decades.
Robert?
Yeah.
I got to respectfully disagree with you, my brother.
But it's true.
No, it's not true.
You're 180 degrees out of phase.
No, no, I'm right online.
No, no, the people that have been pitting groups of people against groups of people in this country are Democrats.
Are you saying we're the divider?
Damn right, the Democrats.
You may not be.
I'm talking about your leaders.
Damn right.
Your elected officials are dividers.
Black versus white, women versus men, gay versus straight.
That's been the strategy.
Divide people in this country and try to stoke up racism and bigotry for their own electoral success.
There's no question about it.
But this comes out of Rove's playbook.
How can it be the Democrats?
You're telling me the Terry Shivo thing in Florida when all these Republicans jumped in and tried to use.
Terry Shivo, what in the world does that have to see?
You can't defend what Obama said.
You've got to come up and try to smear my side and say that we're the racist and biggest trying to divide people.
I can tell you what Obama said.
Basically, he said is what these politicians are going to do when the economy is going down in tubes and things are going bad is they're going to use religion.
They're going to use guns to make against the opposition.
Not what he said.
No, no.
That's what he meant.
You're making your this is that's not what he said.
He didn't say anything about politicians.
He talked about the people right out of his mouth.
He called them racist bigots, hayseeds, and idiots who are bitter and they cling because they don't have the brains to do anything else.
They cling to guns and God.
Back in just a sec.
Bill Clinton said what he said.
There's no question.
What Obama said is worse.
Many times worse.
Insulting people as racists and God freaks.
Suggesting that they are ignored by government and the only reason they cling to these other things is because their government doesn't love them anymore.
