Uh what one more comment here when I got a little more time to make it.
Katha Pollett, all upset here.
What's happening to the feminists, what's happening to people not voting for Hillary, uh reducing her defeat to uh cheap criticism from people like me as uh sexist or whatever.
Let me tell you something, Katha.
The one person that has taken Hillary Clinton seriously in her public life has been me, analyzing her health care plan, analyzing all of the mechanisms that she screwed up, advising her husband from Paula Jones to uh uh any number of things, impeachment.
This I I have this woman can't do anything right, and I'm talking about within the realm she claims to be an expert.
The other things are just an added bonus.
She is Nurse Ratchet.
She does come across as a domineering, controlling, mean person.
But she's also incompetent, and we have cataloged this.
You know, you people out there on the left, you want to criticize talk radio and so forth.
Some of the most in-depth analysis of events and of policy is occurring in this country on talk radio, not in the drive-by media, where they give you sound bites of anywhere from twenty to forty seconds.
In the meantime, people are out there talking about the end of talk radio, the death of talk radio.
The real story with Mrs. Clinton's demise here is the death of the feminazi.
The feminist movement as personified by Mrs. Clinton is dead.
She also represents the sixties baby boomers on the left.
You know, I thought this was election going to be between a uh sixties baby boomer on the left and a sixties baby boomer on the right, like Rudy Giuliani, Romney.
I had but uh i th this is this is gonna end up being something far more generational than that.
But I thought it was gonna be the last gasp of the anti-war feminists, the anti-war leftists from the baby boom generation.
They're gone.
She has been dismissed is what all of this means.
The feminist movement as personified by militant angry women from the sixties and seventies is dead.
It has no influence anymore.
It cannot even beat a candidate with no experience, a rookie who speaks in platitudes.
The real story here with the demise of Mrs. Clinton, Katha, is that the feminist movement has no influence anymore.
In a major political sense in this country.
We have outlasted it.
We have beaten it back.
It is a all militant feminism is, by the way, folks, is just one of the many tentacles of liberalism out there.
And this tentacle, which is working its way into our home by the way, it's not it's not dead.
It's not totally dead, but it it is it is it's been reduced in its national political influence.
The tentacles of feminism are still out there screwing up marriages and screwing up child care and this kind of thing.
And that's going to be the case for a long time.
I mean, militant feminism gave us the notion that every father's a predator.
It gave us the every father is a predator and abuses kids.
Uh and that those those kinds of things are still with us.
But in terms of uh militant feminism as an agenda articulated by a leading feminazi, uh winning elections.
Uh is not the case.
I'm sure you've all heard yesterday when I heard about this, I did not know that it was Bill Cunningham, who was a talk show host in Cincinnati, who had warmed up the audience for McCain.
And then, of course, he had he kept talking about, I guess I mentioned three times Barack Hussein Obama.
And uh McCain claimed after the Cunningham finished, McCain did his remarks at the rally, and after that, when he was told what happened, he immediately apologized through Cunningham under the Straight Talk Express, uh, and uh and disavowed it and said this kind of stuff's not gonna happen in his campaign anymore because Obama and Hillary are honorable people.
Uh here is uh here's a little of what Cunningham said in Cincinnati yesterday, warming up the crowd.
And by the way, uh Cunningham said it's what they asked me to do.
They wanted me to warm up the crowd, go out and get people ready for McCain.
You know, McCain's trying to build his bona fides with conservatives.
They hire this conservative talk show host to go out and warm up the crowd, and this is what Bill Cunningham said.
At some point in the near future, the media, the Stooges from the New York Times, CBS, the Clinton broadcasting system, NBC, the Nobody But Clinton Network, the all Bill Clinton channel ABC, and the Clinton News Network at some point is going to peel the bark off Barack Hussein Obama.
That day will come at some point.
The media will quit taking sides in this thing and maybe start covering Barack Hussein Obama the same way they covered Bush, the same way they covered Cheney, and the same way they cover every Republican.
I looked forward to that day when truth comes.
I look forward to that.
Okay, so it and that might Cunningham says Barack Hussein Obama twice.
There have since been a number of people saying this is not a wise thing to do.
I commented on it yesterday.
We don't harp on uh on his middle name on this program for uh host of reasons.
Even Carl Rove has come out today and said, No, don't do this.
It's not it's not productive.
It's it's it's it's gonna it's not gonna accomplish anything.
It's it's you know, my reaction is I we're we're getting dangerously close here to where the liberals are telling us what we can and can't say.
We can't use the guy's name.
Uh we also cannot call him a liberal.
He doesn't want to be called a liberal, says he's not a we can't call him a liberal.
Uh and we're not supposed to talk about his ties with Farrakhan, at least not his ties, but Farrakhan endorsing him.
And we're not supposed to really talk much about his pastor.
Uh we're we're not supposed to talk much so we're we're and with the Republican National Committee writing all these memos saying, eh, we're gonna be very careful how we go after Barack Obama because we don't want to be perceived as racist or sexist or what have you.
So uh this is why, I mean, just to repeat myself, this is why I've wanted Mrs. Clinton to stay viable and in this, because Obama needs to be bloodied up politically.
Uh and it it's it's clear that our side isn't gonna do it.
And I admit it's gonna be tough because I said last hour, he's not leading a campaign.
He doesn't have a bunch of people that are supporting him because of his stand on the issues, even though his stand on the issues is discernible, that's not where they support him.
He th he what he's got's a movement going on.
He's got uh I mean it may be exaggerating to say it's a cult, but I mean it that makes the point.
He's got people that don't care.
Look, I saw this.
I saw this with Perot back in 1992.
The people that were following Ross Perot earlier did not care to hear anything negative.
They didn't register bounced right off.
They thought that people were trying to do unfair damage to their guy.
It's gonna be the same thing here with uh with Obama.
And a Republican's gonna have to be careful about making fun of Obama's supporters, too, because that's not gonna drive them away.
It it's uh i it it's gonna be a delicate balancing act.
Uh because all the restrictions now that are being placed.
Can't call him Barack Hussein Obama, can't use his real name.
Can we call him BHO?
You know, presidents have um have initials.
WSW, but JFK, RFK.
Uh we referred to Reagan by re as President Reagan, Jimmy Carter, J. E. C. We didn't call him Jimmy Earl Carter.
Uh but sometimes president are known, but their their three initials, B.H.O. Are we going to call him B.O.?
Don't think we're going to do that.
I don't think the popularity, if he becomes president, we're going to we're not going to say B-O, B-O.
We're going to say B eight.
No, we'll say Barack.
Uh or Obama.
But uh we're being told can't use Hussein, being told we can't uh talk about his uh being a liberal.
But I want to I want to get Bill Cunningham off the hook here a little bit.
Bill, apparently you're not to blame for this.
I am.
Uh on CNN the situation room last night, Wolf Blitzer is talking to John King, a reporter at and contributor, a reporter, and uh contributorette uh Gloria Borger.
John King said, you know, they that they say that they knew they were taking a risk uh by having Cunningham there, uh, but they wanted him on board the campaign.
And now they say that the risk backfired.
Senator McCain obviously having to come out.
It's embarrassing.
He wanted to talk about Iraq and the economy today.
Instead, he had to repudiate one of his own supporters.
I think John McCain would take every conservative radio talk show host he can get right now on his Campaign, given where Rush Limbaugh stands on him.
So this fellow is a conservative radio talk show host.
Except he ended up embarrassing the campaign.
And now, of course, he's disowned the campaign completely.
So this is something they, you know, if they want to be ready for prime time, they gotta watch out for this.
But you know what?
I've known John McCain for a long time, and it does underscore that he is a decent, decent person to so quickly go out and repudiate what this conservative radio talk show host had to say.
He didn't mince any words uh saying he doesn't want to run a campaign against either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama using this kind of language.
Yeah.
There's a translation for that, and that is that my criticism forced McCain to associate with talk radio hosts, and it got him in trouble.
Uh but still he's a great guy now because he threw a talk radio host under the bus.
So people like me.
Uh I uh uh they the I made McCain's camp go out and try to get the support of a talk show host.
They got the support of a talk show host, and they threw the talk show host under the bus.
So that this is a translate what uh what CNN was saying.
Here's by the way, what McCain said.
Um he rushed to the microphones to apologize after his uh after his rally yesterday.
I regret any comments that may be made about these two individuals who are honorable Americans.
We just have strong philosophical differences, and uh so I want to disassociate myself from any disparaging remarks that may have been said about I will take responsibility and any offense that was inflicted, I apologize for.
I will take that responsibility.
Whatever suggestion was made that was in any way disparaging to the integrity, character, honesty of either Senator Obama or Senator Clinton was wrong, and I condemn it.
And uh if I have any and any responsibility, I will take responsibility and I apologize for it.
No, I haven't heard everything Bill Cunningham said, but I don't think he's he was probably more disparaging of the drive-bys uh than he was of Obama.
See, all he did was use Obama's middle name.
Now I didn't again, I didn't hear the whole thing, but I'm wondering if McCain heard what he said.
Either I know McCain wasn't there when he said it.
I know McCain wasn't there when he said it, but I mean I'm wondering if McCain got an accurate portrayal of what he said.
Uh you know, Rob Portman, who is uh director OMB, former congressman from Ohio, and I know Rob Portman and his wife, and they are they're great people.
And Portman was the guy who went out and got Cunningham and asked him to do this, from what I understand.
Uh one one more bite because uh McCain also had said yesterday he'd never met Cunningham, but Cunningham was on CNN's election center last night, said he has met uh McCain.
John Roberts said to Cunningham, You You ever met John McCain?
Twice.
He said he's never met you.
He's got a bad memory.
When did you meet him?
I met him at the home of Bob Ryan, who's a friend of mine in Cincinnati, and I met him at the Kenwood Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the presence of Senator Mike DeWine.
I've met him twice.
His people called me specifically.
His people said you're the guy we want because you've met John.
But I'm not gonna meet him again.
I've headed up to here with John McCain.
He's off the list.
I'm joining Ann Coulter and supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton.
He also said that uh McCain threw him under the straight talk express.
So anyway, it just it just keeps on.
It just keeps on.
I gotta go.
Quick timeout.
We'll be back.
What's more straight ahead here on the EIB network?
Yeah, yeah, that Cunningham guy.
That's so awful what he said.
So awful.
I mean, daring to speak Obama's full name.
Who did Cunningham think he is?
And then, after making that mistake, Cunningham then had the audacity to say that Obama is tied to the Chicago political machine.
How over the top was that?
We can't have this on the Republican Party.
If we we I mean, you can't, we can't go anywhere if we're gonna name our candidates, our opponents.
If we can't talk about their names if we can't talk about the fact that they're part of the Chicago political machine.
You don't think Senator McCain would be well advised.
And uh far be it for me to I mean if he if advice comes to me, he's he's not gonna accept it, but I think Senator McCain should start pretending that liberal Democrats are conservative Republicans.
And then he can cuss them out and throw them under his bus.
Because if anybody needs to be thrown under his bus, it's Liberal Democrats.
Remember, uh, ladies and gentlemen, there was a campaign event, and I don't know, this might have been back in South Carolina, I forget the state.
But there was a woman in in the audience talking about Hillary when McCain was on the stage, and the woman called Hillary a bitch.
Do you remember this?
And McCain chuckled.
Uh I think the woman said, How are we going to beat the B.I. itch?
Said it right in front of McCain.
I don't think he denounced this babe in the audience, but he denounces Cunningham.
Um we didn't even hear for saying Obama's middle name.
So, I don't know, I just...
We just gotta stop accepting the premises of the left, folks.
And I'll tell you this business of going out of your way to pre to please the drive-by media.
Throwing your own supporters under the bus.
I mean, if McCain was unhappy with what Cunningham said, there's uh there's a better way of dealing with this than to go and throw him under the bus this way.
There's a better way of dealing with it.
I didn't hear it.
I can't say yet.
I'm gonna find out.
I'm gonna find out what we said.
I'm gonna find out who asked this guy to want to talk to this guy, and then I'll get back to you.
But no.
Uh throw the guy under the bus.
By the way, for those of you who subscribe to the limbow letter, forgive me, I'm gonna give you a little heads up over something that's coming in the stupid quotes section of the issue currently in the works, the March 07 issue.
Because I just I just finished my brilliant monologue on the death of feminism as represented by the spiraling downward to defeat Hillary Clinton campaign.
But I think I think actually what's happening here that some feminizes may be adopting Obama as one of their own.
Here's one of the stupid quotes coming in next month's issue.
It's from Bonnie Herbey, who is a liberal columnist for Scripps Howard News Service and also hosts the all-feminist chat show on PBS called On the Contrary or to the Contrary.
Here's what she said.
Metrosexual, pro-choice, pro-health care, anti-poverty.
Obama is in every political sense at least more of a woman than Hillary Clinton.
So Katha Pollet, I think you should call Bonnie Urbe and have it out and settle your differences out there.
Dallas, Texas, this is Becky.
It's great to have you with us, Becky.
Hi, Rush.
How are you?
Thank you.
Very well.
Well, this is fun.
Getting to talk to you.
Good.
I appreciate that.
I was just going to say that I had the pleasure of one time meeting Mr. Boxley.
And he was so kind and so gracious to me.
I'm a flight attendant.
He was sitting in first class.
And we just started chatting, and I just happened to be reading, it was really coincidental.
I happened to be reading one of his books.
He graciously signed it for me.
I've never, never met a more kind, decent man, really and truly.
Well, that's great to hear.
I know I'm the uh I hear this from a lot of people who uh have met Mr. Buckley just on a on a random uh basis like this.
Uh and it warms my heart to hear.
He was just he was uh, like you say, it was very gracious.
He was had time for anybody.
He was not looking he had an ego.
He knew who he was, but he's modest and he was humble.
Yes, he was.
And you know, a lot of times celebrities and political figures aren't as nice as they should be.
Really?
I'm surprised to hear that.
I know it's shocking, isn't it?
And uh but anyway, and one may I make one more comment?
Yeah.
I was thinking about the death of the feminist movement, and I think there's another movement coming to its demise.
What would that be?
Well, I think civil rights leaders like Jesse Jackson and people like that, because Barack Obama, it looks like he's going to be the Democratic nominee.
And if he in fact gets elected as president, they can no longer say that there's racism in this country because we have Becky, Becky.
I hate to disappoint you.
It's gonna be worse than ever if he's elected president.
The charges of racism are.
The race, the race industry is going to grow.
I look, I'm running out of time.
I I uh keep your radio on if you can.
I I will explain this.
I love getting calls from flight attendants, fly the friendly skies of ignited.
Hi, and welcome back, ladies and gentlemen.
Uh big, big big news on the global warming front, but this this is going to serve as a great example to what I was talking about earlier.
You have Obama and his followers, and you're not going to talk his followers out of him with standard political jargon or criticism because that they're not with him because of politics.
He's not he's not running a political campaign in leading a movement out there.
But the same token, global warming has no basis.
Man-made global warming is a total hoax.
It has no basis in fact, and yet it has acolytes out the wazoo.
We have people going out and living their lives and changing their lives to account for this hoax and this man-made global warming that's destroying the planet that they have been led to believe they are responsible for in part, and so they've got to do things to absolve themselves of their sin.
So they're putting in these screwy little spaghetti light bulbs, they're driving strange cars, they're wiping never mind.
They're using something others in toilet paper in a bathroom.
Whatever number of things, and no matter what you tell them.
They go out or watch Gore's movie.
You can point out every factual error in Gore's movie.
No, I I uh uh no, it's bad.
It's bad.
That movie is the truth.
When people become attached to a movement, a person or whatever on the basis of faith, you got problems trying to separate them.
Because faith is what?
Faith is loyalty.
It is support of the unknown, or the something that cannot be proved.
It can't be proven, it can't be disproven as far as the faithful are concerned.
Obama has a bunch of faithful.
And so does the man-made global warming hoax.
I have a piece of information here.
You may have seen it already today, that totally discounts it all.
In my mind, but in it in just in terms of common sense.
Let me give you the data.
In the last year, we have seen the largest one-year temperature change ever recorded for global temperatures.
However, it's been a cooling trend, not warming.
Record snows and cold being reported from all over the northern hemisphere this winter.
Seems like our unbiased media should have been covering this important story.
If you search uh Google News for articles in the last month containing the phrase global warming, get twenty-nine thousand hits.
If you do the same for global cooling, you'll get one hundred hits.
100 cooling hits versus 29,000 warming hits.
We could be sliding into a new ice age.
And the drive-by media would be crying hysterically about global warming.
Okay, Rush, prove it.
Prove it.
Fine.
I got it right here.
Um This is from the Daily Tech.com.
It's a science website.
All four major global temperature tracking outlets.
Hadley, NASA's GISS, the UAH, and the RSS have data showing that global temperatures have dropped big time.
Does this mean that Al Gore is out of a job?
Does it mean that they should rescind his Nobel Peace Prize?
Will Al Gore just jump on the cold a bad bandwagon or do something more fun?
World temperatures, according to the Hadley Center for Climate Prediction is the chart that is exhibited here.
We'll put this up at Rush Limbaugh.com so you can see it.
And you can see the sharp drop over the last year.
It is it is a huge drop.
As we reported yesterday, more snow and ice cover the northern hemisphere than at any time since 1966.
The twelve-month long drop.
Now get this, because this is crucial.
The drop in global temperatures this past year has wiped out one century of warming.
We went up one degree Celsius, we think in one year, in one hundred years, in one century.
In one year, it's been wiped out.
Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded.
China has its coldest winter in 100 years.
Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded heathwa.
North America has the most snow cover in 50 years.
Places like Wisconsin the highest since record keeping began.
Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile, the list goes on.
No more than anecdotal evidence to be sure, but now that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact.
All four major global temperature tracking outlets have released updated data and all show that over the past year global temperatures have dropped precipitously, a degree.
In one year, ladies and gentlemen.
And you know what?
Scientists, such as uh Drew Thornley, at the he's a policy analyst at the Texas Public Policy Foundation's Center for Economic Freedom and the Center for Natural Resources, and a new planet Gore contributor chimes in on the inconvenient truth of global cooling.
New data from these four major global temperature tracking outlets show that world temperatures last year dropped 0.75 degrees Celsius, large enough to wipe out virtually an entire century of warming.
Multiple researchers have linked global temperatures to levels of solar activity.
This all may be due to a changing solar cycle.
As we have attempted to explain on this program, as we have gone into great depth on global warming, just as we went into great depth on the policies of Mrs. Clinton and on her incompetence.
This is profound.
I have yet to see this in the drive-by media.
And if it ever does appear in the drive-by media, it will show it will be portrayed as Kooks extremists are harping on one year's data.
And of course, the global warming man-made hoaxers will come out and say, of course, we have said all along that we're going to have these drastic impulses and cycles.
This could mean that next year we can gain a full temperature in one year, which is why we have to continue to do what we're doing.
So despite the fact that the anecdotal evidence has been matched up with true scientific evidence, the faithful who buy into this hoax will not be separated from their faithful belief based on this.
Because they have too much invested in their own feeling of mattering and relevance and contributing and so forth.
And so they'll come up with all kinds of excuses.
Well, maybe true for one year, but we can't afford to just forget this, and we can't afford to stop our carbon footprint limiting.
We can't afford.
So it's it's this is and folks.
Once again, this is one of the brilliant tactics of the left is to turn, I mean, the whole belief, I will go so far as to say that belief in liberalism has to be faith because the evidence is it fails.
The evidence is it doesn't work.
The evidence is abundant, either in the number of deaths, the number of genocides, the number of starvations, the lack of economic opportunity and prosperity, communism is a disaster.
And yet there are faithful communists, faithful socialists, faithful liberals who still think with the right people in charge, it can succeed.
So when you see the evidence of the Soviet Union crumbling, when you see the way people live in Cuba, look at the way liberals talk about best healthcare system in the world.
This is where we're headed with Obama.
This is what we have Here.
This is what Mrs. Clinton could never create is faith in herself.
Obama has done it.
Well, what about conservative conservatism does require on this?
You know, conservatives already have their faith in God.
We don't have faith in government.
We don't even have hope.
We already know it's a disaster when liberals are in charge of.
So we are in the process of explaining ourselves substantively with ideas.
And we are trying to get inside the deep dark crevices of people's minds.
Get into their brains and convince them.
And what we're battling against is their faith.
Things will get better.
And people care enough out there to make them better.
Wait a minute.
The people trying to make them better are no different than the people who've seen it fail.
Go to China.
Go anywhere.
Go to Vietnam.
Go to Cuba.
Go to the Soviet Union.
These are the extreme examples.
Go to any socialist democracy, and you tell me how it's working.
No, no, no.
I've I have hope I have faith these people can make it work here.
There's too much inequality, Mr. Limbaugh.
We have faith that the fifth.
Okay, find me find me examples in any world country, any population where there is equality.
You might be able to do it, in fact.
But I'll guarantee you this, Mr. New Castrati.
I don't like that term, Mr. Lib.
Well, get used to it because it's what you are.
Your scrotum is gone, it's in the hands of somebody else.
Understand this.
You can find a place in this world where there is equality, and you know what it'll be?
Everybody is equally miserable.
Everybody is equally poor.
Everybody is equal in their lack of opportunity to change the sewers in which they live.
I resent that, Mr. Limb.
I'm sure you do.
It's the truth.
This is what we're up against, folks.
We're up against hard cold reality, experience, history, evidence, the power and art of persuasion versus people of faith, be it in Obama, be it in man-made global warming, uh be it in oil is destroying the world, what have you?
I mean, people that have these faithful attachments that are tough to break.
We'll be back.
Ha.
How are you?
Welcome back.
Things are wistful today, ladies and gentlemen, in the Clinton campaign.
Gotta figure out a way to separate people from their faith.
Faith in God's one thing.
I'm not gonna mess with that.
Faith in his other stuff, that's fair game.
We have to figure that out.
David in New Haven, Connecticut, uh, thank you for the call, sir.
Great to have you with us.
Rush, uh, I I'll tell you this is uh banner day for me.
I'm a fan of the show, although I am a liberal democrat.
I think there's a lot more that we agree on than disagree, and you know, this is indeed an honor I've been listening to.
Well, very nice.
Thank you, sir.
It's nice to have you here.
Now, I just first of all I wanted to share my condolences with you on the passing of William F. Buckley.
I've I've read quite a bit of his stuff, and although, again, as I disagree with quite a bit of it, I think he was a fine American and a brilliant conservative mind, and and my condolences on the loss of him.
Thank you, sir.
Now, one thing I really wanted to just touch on is you know, I I listened to you, I listened to Sean, I listened to a lot of the different conservative talk show hosts now that they've canceled Air America, pretty much for all intents and purposes.
Um, they sold it again.
Well, you know what, I've kind of lost track of it after they dropped it locally here, but uh that's that's brought me more to listening to you, so it can't be that bad.
Um, you know, I'm I just want to say how I want to commend you for sticking with your guns and not following the Republican Party.
You know, I understand and I listen to you every day that you are a true conservative.
And John McCain is so far from that, he's actually somebody I would vote for.
So uh, you know, I just want to commend you and Sean and everyone else who's just sticking to their guns and demanding more from the party.
And just wanted to get your thoughts on that.
Well, I I I'm uh it sounds like you want us to win, and you uh uh you're a liberal.
Uh yes.
Well, I want you to stick true to who you are, just as I plan on sticking True to who I am and backing my candidate.
And I just think it's refreshing.
You know, I I don't see four years ago as George Bush being a true conservative.
And I wish there was a bit of more of a of a uproar and a demand for change outside of the world.
Well, you know, that we could talk about it.
I'm running out of time here, but if you guys, not you, but if the liberals had let him alone on his war stuff, uh liberals unified people around George W. Bush, wish I could respond in greater detail here.
I simply don't have the time.
That's it, folks.
We are still just flat out of time here on the EIB Network, the Rush Limbaugh program.
As always, can't tell you how much fun it is to be with you, and I look forward to it tomorrow, too.
