There was another black operation that was outed sometime within the past uh two years.
I forget it might have been during um four campaign year, sometime last year, but it was outed by Senators Rockefeller, Durban and Eleven.
Uh and they did this in a budget debate.
They outed a new black op satellite, spy satellite program that had been around since I think the 1990s.
And they did this during the course of conducting uh uh debates, intelligence debates and budget debates.
And uh they they said it's simply not going to fund this, and I'm gonna they're gonna pay for this.
It's just it's unnecessary, it's totally worthless.
And so the the uh this was not a CIA leak.
This is members of the Intelligence Committee in the U.S. Senate on the Democrat side leaking things.
So my my my only point, there are enemies of this country within the country doing their best to undermine the agenda of this country.
And when I say enemies, let me qualify it because some of them may well think of themselves as patriots.
You know, we do have these uh vast disagreements uh about how to manage our affairs in this country, political disagreements.
We have massive disagreements over what the right foreign policy is.
It could well be these people think of themselves as just as patriotic as anybody else does, but they um and they're going to whatever length they can to stop who they think is the problem, which would be Bush.
But look at what they're compromising.
It was December 2004 that the stealth satellite program was uh revealed.
The uh the black ops stealth satellite program was revealed, so there are a lot of these things, and so a lot of these things end up in the newspaper, like the Plaim Wilson story and now the Black Sites story last Wednesday in the Washington Post, which Bill Frist and Denny Hester now have ordered a bipartisan bicameral investigation of that CIA leak.
I mentioned right before the uh oh, I have to apologize to General Valilee.
Um I've been mispronouncing his name, Major General Paul Vallelli, I've been calling him.
I don't listen to television, folks.
I don't, you know, I've I am deaf.
I have my cochlear implant, uh, and listening to television sometimes is not a pleasant experience.
Uh depends on the room I'm in, what kind of acoustics.
Uh uh sometimes it's just very, very uh irritating.
So I watch television with close caption.
And if I see a name that I'm unsure of the pronunciation, and I'll ask somebody before I come to the program.
If something looks like it's easily pronounced, and Vallelli's name with two L's in the middle of the word looks like it would be Valelli, then I didn't ask.
I'm now told he pronounces his name Valily.
So I apologize to Major General Paul Valilee, the screw up of his name, not intentionally done.
Uh there have been quite a few newspaper stories and media accounts of an Iraq vet by the name of Jimmy Massey.
The name ring a bell.
Jimmy Massey has been seeking audiences wherever he can find them, describing all of the atrocities that he as a soldier saw in Iraq.
Said that he worked with the Marines in Iraq.
It has been discovered that he lied about it all.
He lied and made it all up.
And his story now is that he was told to say this by others.
So make no mistake about it that there is a coordinated effort at the highest levels of who knows where to undermine the war on terror and the war on Iraq, because the m the primary goal is to undermine and eventually impeach George W. Bush.
That is the focus.
That's why all this is going on, and they are now even corrupting soldiers coming back and telling, okay, we want you to go out and say this, go out and say this.
Story in the St. Louis Post dispatch today with one of the funniest headlines I have ever seen about Jimmy Massey.
In fact, before I give you the headline, let me read you the lead of the story.
Media outlets throughout the world have reported Jimmy Massey's claims of war crimes frequently without ever seeking to verify them.
For instance, no one ever called any of the five journalists who were embedded with Massey's battalion to ask him or her about his claims.
The AP, which serves more than 8,500 newspaper radio and television stations worldwide, wrote three stories about Jimmy Massey, including an interview with him in October about his new book.
But none of the AP reporters ever called Ravi Nessman, an associated press reporter who was embedded with Massey's unit.
Nessman wrote more than 30 stories about the unit from the beginning of the war until April 15th, after Baghdad Baghdad had fallen.
Jack Spokes, a spokesman for the AP, said he didn't know why the reporters didn't talk to Nessman, nor could he explain why the AP ran stories without seeking a response in the Marine Corps.
The organization also refused to allow Nessman to be interviewed for the story.
Some media did seek comment from the Marine Corps, were told that an investigation of Massey's accusations had found them baseless.
Still, those news outlets printed Massey's claims without any evidence other than the word of Massey, who had been released from service because of depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
What do you think the headline of the story is?
Headline of the story, St. Louis Post Distach, St. Louis Post Dispatch today, written by Ron Harris.
And he probably didn't write the headline, but the headline is why did the press swallow Massey's stories?
So here you have a story in the press in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, asking why did the press swallow these?
They have to ask.
John Kerry lied about atrocities.
Look where it got him.
John Kerry made up all kinds of things about atrocities that got him the Democratic Party presidential nomination.
Who knows what they promised this Massey guy?
You could be the next Paul, what's his name in Ohio?
What's this clown's you can be the next Paul Hackett, Mr. Massey?
Just go out and say A, B, C and D will guarantee you you will not be challenged.
Why?
For the press itself to ask why did the press swallow Massey's stories?
Because it fit the template.
You wanted to believe it, just like Dan Rather wanted to believe Bill Burkett's documents were not forged, that they were genuine.
And why did you want to believe it?
Because you hate George W. Bush.
Admit it.
You have a personal hatred and rage for this man that knows no bounds.
You are obsessed.
So you will throw all journalistic pretense out the window when somebody comes along and says what you already think is true, and he's wearing a uniform.
Well, that's all the credibility you need.
Got a guy, and better that he's got post-traumatic stress disorder.
Look what Bush's war did to poor Jimmy Massey.
And Jimmy Massey's trying to alert the world of what happened.
Jimmy Massey was lying.
And the press didn't give a rat's ass.
Pardon my French, but I want it made clear.
They didn't give a diddly squat because the news today is not what is happening, it's what they want to happen.
This story continues.
There's a subhead.
Why would we have run this story?
That Massey should wasn't telling the truth should have become obvious the more he told his story, said Philip Dixon, the former managing editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer and currently the chairman of the Howard University Department of Journalism.
Dixon examined dozens of newspaper articles in which Massey told the atrocities that Marines allegedly committed in Iraq.
Dixon, who had been an editor at the Washington Post of the Los Angeles Times, said he couldn't keep his story straight.
First it was a four-year-old girl with a bullet hole in her head, then it was a six-year-old girl.
Editors at some papers look back at the massey articles and are surprised that they ran them without examining whether the claims were true or without ever asking the Marine Corps about them.
What's the press on to now then they've got it totally 180 degrees out of focus?
Joe Wilson and Valerie Plain, because they want Joe Wilson to be a truth teller.
They wanted Cindy Sheehan to be angelic and prophetic.
They wanted Bill Burkett to have the goods.
They wanted the Jersey girl to have the goods.
Look who they throw in with.
This poor Jimmy Massey, who knows who exploited this guy and put the uh stories and the ideas in his head.
That's what he's saying anyway.
Which takes us to the other CIA leak story last Wednesday in the Washington Post.
So we're going to leak about these black sites.
Well, how do we know it's true?
That's what part of the investigation is going to determine.
Is it true?
It's war out there, folks.
It is war inside our own borders and inside the beltway.
We'll be back.
Stay with us.
You're listening to Rush Limbaugh on the Excellence in Podcasting Network.
Yes, yes, yes, yeah.
Well, I'm going to get to the uh the uh sound bites of action on the floor of the Senate before the program ends, hopefully sooner than later.
But uh, my friends, you must understand there are far, far, far many more issues out there uh that have far greater import importance than uh my radio show being debated on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
Well, I know apparently not certain senators, it's the only thing that matters to them today, but but uh, you know, a bunch of out of out of touch.
You know, there's the f for example.
For example, here are these clowns too busy to put to to to have the debate, the hearings on uh on Samolito.
It's too busy.
I frankly think it's gonna work out just fine uh politically, but I'm still struck by the fact that they just too busy.
They have the Thanksgiving retest, they have to go home, they have this re reelection campaigning and so forth and so on.
They're just too busy.
These guys work at a snail's pace anyway.
Uh and and uh if faced with the lives of daily average Americans, these guys would be exhausted by 10 o'clock in the morning.
Well, I'm not kidding.
The average American, look what the average American just has, especially if you got kids.
Uh it's just it's silly for these people to say they're too tight up, they're too busy, and evidence that they're too busy to to have hearings on the Supreme Court nominee, but they've got a day and a half to debate my radio program on the floor of the U.S. Senate, along with Armed Forces Radio Network.
Here is uh here's Mark in St. Louis.
Great you called, sir.
Thank you.
It's an honor to speak with you, Rush.
Uh, I just wanted to first start off uh and say that I agree with you 99.9% of the time.
However, I do take exception to uh what you talked about last hour at the CIA and uh Bill Casey.
Uh he may have a hero starting uh off World War II and uh leading up to Hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it.
You're breaking up real bad.
Start again.
You're on a cell phone, obviously.
So start again here because I uh Right.
I I apologize.
I just wanted to say that uh from your uh discussion last hour with the CIA and then with Bill Casey.
Um he may have been a hero, you know, in World War II and and things of that nature and beginning in the Reagan administration.
However, I think his big downfall is, and I I can't consider him a patriot, especially towards the end of his career uh because of uh the Iran Contra.
Oh, if that's what you were talking about.
Yes.
Iran Contra.
So you don't want me to call Casey a hero because of Iran Contra.
Right.
I mean, he may have been a hero in, you know, World War II, and you know, maybe leading up till, you know, eighty-four or eighty-five.
Mark, there's no maybe about it.
Bill Casey is a hero.
Bill Casey is an American hero.
And as for Iran Contra, I was on the radio back then, but the nation did not have the benefit of hearing it.
Only those in Sacramento did, because I was on the air in Sacramento when it happened, but I'll just tell you what I said.
I was standing up applauding.
When Oliver North found a way to divert funds from our terrorist buddies to the Contras freedom fighters in Nicaragua opposing a communist Sandinista government that was in a back pocket of the liberal Democrats in this country, I stood up and cheered.
It was a brilliant plan.
I still think it's a brilliant plan today.
I think the Boland Amendment was unconstitutional, and it was an effort by the U.S. Congress to undermine our government in dealing with the establishment of the Soviet satellite state in Nicaragua.
I got so sick and tired of that communist thug, Danielle Ortega coming to New York and being squirred around by Peter Paul and Mary to go in and buy sunglasses at $2,000 a pop.
And this is a guy that supposedly was in charge of the great of a revolution in the in Nicaragua that's going to help the people.
And as always, when we finally got a chance to have a genuine free election in that country, the Sandinistas were dispatched in a landslide.
You remember who won the election, folks?
Victoria Chamora.
She was the uh the candidate of the so-called Contras.
I'll tell you what, that's the kind of guts that it it I think it took.
We were fighting the communists, if we would have left it up to the Democrats back then.
You people forget this.
Daniel Ortega would would be supported Democrats in the House, particularly this back in the Jim Wright days.
Jim Wright was the speaker of the House.
You had George Miller from Arizona.
You had a guy named Jim Jones of Oklahoma who's now at the American Stock Exchange in Chicago.
Uh you had Pat Schroeder in the House in those days, and they were standing up and they were doing everything they could to support the Sandinistas and Ortega.
And after vote after vote after vote, where the U.S. House defeated any action to help the Contras, any funding to help the Contras.
Ortega would fly off to meet his sponsors in the Soviet Union.
I can remember the Democrats being embarrassed time and time again because he would embarrass them.
They would stand up and say he was not a communist.
He'd fly off and meet Gorbachev or Andropov or whichever Soviet leader hadn't died yet.
And I can I can I can distinct George Miller, in fact, was uh was the point.
George Miller was the guy that was sent down to Managua to talk to to uh what's his face, uh Ortega, and say, stop embarrassing us, pal.
I mean, that this this was serious stuff.
This is why Bill Casey is a hero.
And I uh, you know, it was it was those things that the people in the administration they paid a price for it.
They certainly did, but uh I'll tell you something.
I you people uh, you know, memories are short, but uh but but mine aren't when it comes to communism.
Yeah, that's what I mean, Mr. Sturdley.
He got a hero's welcome.
He c Ortega would come to New York and he would be taken on shopping sprees by Peter Paul and Mary.
I hosted at dinner parties at Peter Yarrow's place, and they'd go shopping and he'd buy two thousand dollar pairs of sunglasses.
And this is a guy leading a people's revolution and so forth.
Yeah, well this this was this was this was just despicable.
What was what was going on back then?
So um no, I I I thought there was a lot of heroic activity.
I'm not gonna take away from Bill Casey because of that.
I wish Bill Casey were still alive.
I w uh Well, what would w Bill Casey had a an aneurysm or heart attack or something, a stroke, and was in his hospital in a coma unconscious when Woodward went in and talked to him.
Apparently a medical miracle occurred, and Casey awoke from his coma, gave Woodward some quotes, and then died.
Uh and Woodward wrote a book about about what uh about what Bill Casey had said.
So that that's why Woodward still is sometimes the brunt of jokes about anybody else have a stroke that's only talking to Bob Woodward.
Who's next on this program?
Josh in Staten Island in New York.
Welcome, sir.
Nice to have you with us.
Ah, thanks.
It's a pleasure, Rush.
I'm uh longtime listener and first-time caller.
Thank you.
I just wanted to comment.
You made a statement before about the uh the CIA and how they don't hire uh people like Casey.
My my brother was a Marine for five years.
He was a scout sniper, and over the years I've had the pleasure of knowing a lot of Marines, a lot of Navy SEALs.
And you know, these guys, they just don't hire these guys.
They have uh uh, you know, uh a blackout somewhere and they see Marine, they see special forces, and they don't hire them.
They hire accountants, they hire lawyers.
Uh my out of out of hundreds of these guys, they've all applied to federal law enforcement.
One, one was ever hired.
A lot of these guys, you know, they go into state law enforcement.
A lot of them have gone back to Iraq as these, you know, these uh security consultants for black people.
We have to wait, We have to be careful here about uh and please don't don't don't take this personally.
I don't mean it personally, but we have to be careful uh uh forming firm opinions on anecdotal evidence.
I have no doubt that uh uh what you've been told is true to you, and that there have been people go in and apply and haven't gotten jobs because they're uh military, former military, and they are hiring accountants, but I'll guarantee you we still have and I th there are plenty for those of you who read Vince Flynn novels and know Mitch Rapp, his uh his hero, there are plenty of Mitch raps in the CIA.
Then you just will never know about them.
They will never talk about it.
Nobody will ever well, I shouldn't say nobody the way it's going now.
Some of them may be outed someday, but they're still out there.
We've we've CIA is not all bad, it's not all rotten.
There's still good people in there doing things.
It's just that we're limited by some of the legislation from the past decades or so as to what they can and can't do.
We'll be back in just a second.
Okay, so there's a bunch of uh off-year elections, uh, Virginia governor up today.
We've got uh bunch of ballot initiatives in Ohio and in California.
And you can find news stories about this all over the place.
Uh here is an AP story of today's voting could be test for GOP.
You got uh Corzine acknowledging a little nervous as he voted today in his race for governor of New Jersey.
Why isn't this a test for the Democrats?
Why couldn't it just as easily be written as today's voting could be a test for Democrats?
They're the ones that don't have an agenda.
They're the ones that are not even going to announce their agenda until next year.
That's right.
A Capitol Hill newspaper roll call reported today that party leaders in the Democrats have decided to punt on rolling out their 2006 agenda until next year, because they haven't figured it out yet.
They keep going behind closed doors to try to figure out what they say they're gonna say they believe in, and then how they're gonna advance the idea.
Uh E.J. Dion Jr. today has a column called The Democrats' Vision.
He says Democrats are obsessed with visions, messages, programs, and narratives.
Parties' leaders, thinkers, and consultants have held a slew of meetings said to be close to a statement of hopes and principles.
They're determined to apply the tactical lessons of the contract with America, Newt Gingrich in 1994.
There is a collective rush to the nearest thesaurus, as Democrats consider a compact with America, a covenant with America, a bargain or even a concordate can't be far behind.
Personally, I'm still fond of the word deal, as in square, new or fair, but I guess that word's just too 20th century.
Uh so here's Dion.
He's lamenting that the Democrats don't come forth with their vision.
Is there's a Democrat vision cannot be only about rights?
It should be disturbing to liberals and Democrats that they've not only been losing arguments over who will stand up for liberty, but also over which side will nurture the values of community and patriotism.
Meanwhile, these elections are a test for the Republicans.
The fact of the matter is that this is a test for the Democrats.
Will people vote for people that don't have an agenda?
Will people vote for a bunch of hate mongers?
Will people vote for a bunch of corruption?
We'll find out.
But I'll tell you this.
If the Democrats win some of these races, don't worry.
Even tomorrow when you see newspapers, uh Tuesday elections indicate bad news for Bush.
B.S. By the time the 06 elections come around, nobody's gonna remember the elections that happened today.
The elections that happen today have nothing to do with what's going to happen in 06 because there has not been a full-fledged national campaign going on in these 05 off-year elections.
So this is not a test of anything in terms of national indications or preferences on the part of the American people.
These are local elections, state elections, and they're just that.
But just like Paul Hackett losing in Ohio was a victory to the Democrats.
Paul Hackett losing meant that Bush was in trouble.
That's how cockeyed out of whack these people have become.
Losing is winning.
So I just don't worry about it.
This is a this is the Democrats have the one.
They're the ones who've been losing elections for crying out loud.
Why does why is it they who have the test when it comes to turning out voters?
All right.
That angers me.
It really does this kind of stuff.
Republican big test for republic.
Big test for Bush.
Bush isn't on the ballot anywhere, you idiots.
In the press, show me where Bush is on the ballot anywhere, and I'll read your cockamami drivel.
But he's not even on a ballot.
Let's go to the audio tapes.
We're going to start with the Harkin floor debate on me and this program.
Our nickname for him is Tom Dung Heap Harkin.
I've forgotten why we named him that.
But it was he said something once about a dung heap.
Call his opponents dung heaps or something, so we turned it back around on him.
This is a uh portion of his remarks.
They're debating the defense authorization bill, but Harkin is upset that I dominate so much of armed forces radio network, and that so few progressives have a chance to be heard.
What they actually get is nothing on the on the progressive side.
But they get 100% or Rush Limbaugh.
2,460 minutes a week.
That's balance.
That's fair.
That's not balance.
That's monopoly.
It's called this is called propagandizing our troops.
Propagandizing our troops.
Yes, I said it and I will say it again.
They are propagandizing our troops.
Well, I'm trying where does he get this figure of 2,460 minutes a week?
They carry one hour a day.
They carry it at 8 o'clock at night.
By the way, individual AFART stations, that's the acronym American Forces Radio Television Service.
They, these stations, affiliates carry what they want to carry, and as you'll hear as the debate goes on, uh there's plenty of quote unquote progressive programs offered, but uh some of these stations don't carry them.
And by the way, my program was put on the Armed Forces Radio Network during the Clinton administration.
Uh the uh the late defense secretary.
Oh what was his name?
Snurley helped me out.
What was the late Les Aspen?
Less Les Aspen.
Uh because that was popular demand.
It happened back in 93 or 94, somewhere around there.
Uh yeah, they took a poll and I was a right-in candidate of all the troops, and they put my program on.
That's right.
Took a poll, and my show was not listed.
They they they put out a uh a list of uh programs and let the armed forces members around the world vote.
And my name was not on the list that you could vote for.
They wrote my name in, and I got more votes than anybody else, and that's why they put the program on.
They were really gonna put three hours on.
They tried to take it off, but we didn't let them after the vote had uh had come in.
Uh oh yeah, Harkin called the impeachment charges against Clinton dung heap.
A dung heap of charges.
That's why we call him Tom Dung Heap Harkin.
I still don't know where he gets this 2,460 minute.
Uh no, he said one, he said, Rush Limbaugh, 2,460 minutes a week.
If he's talking about all conservative programming, he should say that.
But I get one hour, that's 60 minutes a day times five, that would be uh 300 minutes a week.
Not 2,640.
Right.
What's that?
I know we need more.
That's the problem.
There's not enough of Limbaugh on the Armed Forces Radio Network.
The problem is there's not enough, and he's trying to stack the deck here uh with a bunch of progressives that nobody wants to listen to.
Here's here's more of what he had to say, talking about when he brought this effort up last year.
Rush Limbaugh went ballistic on his radio show.
Oh, Senator Harkin said he's now trying to take me off the air.
He wants to deny you the troops, the opportunity to hear me.
And he went on and on like that.
Well, I had other reporters and press people ask me about it, and I said, Well, typical of Rush Limbaugh.
He doesn't understand what's happening.
You know, he wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the face.
I said, all I gotta do is stand there.
What I wanted was balance.
What Rush Limbaugh wants is monopoly.
Yeah, right.
See, to him.
Stop the tape a second.
Uh Senator, you know, I have earned what is a monopoly.
Uh I didn't set out for it.
It's the market that has dictated this monopoly, if you will.
Have someone oppose him and get equal time might be the same as in his own little mind, and I do mean little.
It would be the same as taking him off the air.
That's the way he probably thinks.
But I've never called him taken off the air.
Well, he forgets that that little George Soros website did.
They did try to get me thrown off the air on Armed Forces Radio Network, and Harkin was out there carrying along the uh carrying the water for it.
Well, it's it's water to the bridge, but as I say, folks, my dad would just be going bananas.
If my mom too, if they were alive to witness this.
Here is a United States senator from the neighboring state of my homestead.
I'm in Missouri from Missouri here.
Iowa's on our northern border.
Here's a senator from Iowa talking about a citizen of this country as our own little mind.
I do mean little.
You have a U.S. Senator personally berating a citizen of this country.
And I'm honored to be the citizen.
I am honored to be the citizen berated as a small mind by Tom Dung Heap Harkin on the floor of the Senate.
And I I just I sat here and I walked out yesterday, Snerdling and I walked out to leave.
He said, I guess we know what's going to be on the show tomorrow.
And I said, Well, a portion of it, and I told him then, I said, my dad would not believe this.
Just wouldn't believe it.
Here's here's more.
They they they didn't this didn't stop.
He goes back to the Abu Grab quotes now to in order.
Now remember what he's trying to do is get a bunch of liberal hosts that you can't listen to and you've never heard of on Armed Forces Radio Network.
So in order to do that, he can't build them up.
He has to try to tear me down.
Here's what Rush Limbaugh had to say about Abu Ghraib.
He called it a fraternity prank.
Yeah.
He dubbed the humiliation of inmates a brilliant maneuver.
No different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation at Yale.
Stop the tape a second.
Now, this this is classic because he is taking this out of context with his proof that they don't get the joke.
Skull and bones, that's John Kerry, that's George Bush.
These guys, and they're all kinds of secret things that go on at skull and bones, and it was a laugh line.
And here is this guy outraged and taking it seriously, not getting it at probably on purpose, but I doubt that he would have gotten it if he'd have heard it in context originally.
He described the images of torture as, again, a quote from Rush Limbaugh.
Pictures of homoeroticism that look like standard good old American pornography.
Stop the tape.
Yes, he's quoting me accurately.
And I said, why are people upset about this when they buy it on cable TV?
They buy it on the internet and they buy it in magazines every week.
I thought we were supposed to love homoerotic things.
I thought we're supposed to be open-minded and tolerant of homoerotic things.
I thought that was the definition of an open mind, a large mind.
So here I say, hey, there are a lot of people look at these pictures by getting turned on.
This is good.
They are looking at these pictures and they're thinking America is advancing.
Now the military's getting into it.
Over their heads, flat smack dab over their heads.
Let's listen to the rest.
That's Rush Limbaugh.
Talking to our troops 100% of the time.
He said of the pictures at Abu Gharib, and again, this is a quote from Rush Limbaugh.
If you take these pictures and bring them back and have them taken in an American city and put on an American website, they might win a video award from the pornography industry.
I ask, does this represent the views and attitudes of the average American citizen?
No, no, of course not, but it does represent the views of the average American leftist.
It's the left that will not condemn any of this when it happens to their kids when it's happening in schools, when it's happening in the porno industry in this country.
In fact, the Supreme Court has said that this kind of stuff can happen with no controls whatsoever on the internet.
Senator Harkin, your crowd is the one that's totally tolerant of this, except when it happens in a prison to our enemies.
Pornographers can destroy our own citizens, corrupt our own children, and you sit by and say nothing.
But when this kind of thing happens to people who want to blow up the country, you somehow want to come to the defense of the people who want to blow up the country.
We'll be back in just a moment.
You know, these guys, they can't even, they didn't even quote me correctly out of context.
I, I, um, um, um.
they left out one of my greatest lines.
I said uh looking at the Abu Ghrab pictures, I said, What's the big deal?
You see this every time you watch a Madonna video.
Why couldn't he have mentioned that?
If he's on the floor of the Senate and quoting me, why couldn't he quote that?
Well, it's true.
You ever see a Madonna Chains and Whips video?
They're all over the place now.
The MTV.
No different out there.
I mean, you even I think the cigarettes aren't in a Madonna video, but that's about the only uh about the only difference.
But the thing about Senator Harkin, and by the way, we've got the soundbite.
I I'm I'm not sure.
Do you have a sound bite of Harkin at the Wellstone Memorial um Mike?
Yeah, I don't I don't can't find it here on the transcript.
Okay.
Well, hang on to that.
We're not through with Senator Harkin.
He uh we got one more, well, actually two more bites counting that one.
But let me answer him while I got some time here.
Tom Harkin is anti-free speech.
He's anti-public debate, he is anti-military.
One hour of my show is aired to the military.
The same military your party has sought to disenfranchise for years.
You tried to disenfranchise military uh veterans overseas, absentee during the 2000 Florida recount.
And I say this, Senator, why not let those who serve in the military vote whether they want me on the air as opposed to your liberal friends being the deciding factor?
You are using your position in the Senate to promote a dead liberal, a DNC backed radio network that diverted money from kids to pay operating expenses.
You are trying to promote networks that have taken money from a boys and girls club to fund their own failing operation.
Now, as for talking to our troops, you might want to quote your good friend fellow leftist and party leader, the number two Democrat in the Senate.
You might want to go talk to Senator Turbin, who equated our troops to the forces of mass murder under Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot.
You've yet to speak out against what he said.
Are you not concerned about what your fellow Democrats might be doing via propaganda to demoralize the U.S. military?
How about your buddy Ted Kennedy, your icon, who accused our troops of doing nothing more than changing management at Abu Grab.
We're no different than Saddam Hussein.
You guys would be excellent witnesses in his trial.
Or John Kerry lied before a Senate committee in 1971, accusing our troops of atrocities that never occurred and that he never witnessed, and these are your heroes today.
And how about you yourself?
You say I wouldn't know the truth, Senator Harkin.
In 1979, Tom Harkin, then a congressman, participated in a round table discussion arranged by the Congressional Vietnam Veterans Caucus.
Quote, I spent five years as a Navy pilot starting in November of 1962, Harkin said at that meeting, in words that were later quoted in a book, Changing of the Guard by Washington Post political writer David Broder.
One year was in Vietnam.
I was flying F-4s and F-8s on combat air patrols and photo reconnaissance support missions.
I did no bombing.
That clearly is not an accurate picture of his Navy service.
Mr. Harkin's Navy record shows his only decoration is the National Defense Service Medal awarded to everybody on active service during those years.
He did not receive either the Vietnam Service Medal or the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
The decorations given to everybody who served in the Southeast Asia Theater.
It turned out Mr. Harkin had not seen combat.
He was stationed in Japan.
Opinionjournal.com is the source for this.
The Wall Street Journal's uh blog site, Opinionjournal.com.
He lied through his teeth about his service in Vietnam and he was never there.
He was in Japan.
And so he takes to the Senate floor to accuse me of propaganda while ignoring the statements of his own party members.
Senator Turbin, Ted Kennedy, John Carey, and of course his own misrepresentations about himself.
But really what I'm most upset about is the fact that he didn't include my quote about Madonna videos and the Abu Grab picture, because that that hurts.
Because that was a great line.
And he probably left it out because he probably agreed with it.
It would show me as being right.
All right, Coco at the website.
I want you to prepare a package to be sent to the office of Senator Tom Dungheap.
Well, no, just Senator Tom Harkin.
Send him a Club Gitmo t-shirt, a Club Gitmo um golf shirt, a Jihad Java coffee mug, Club Gitmo staff t-shirt, and uh a couple of other Club Gitmo trinkets.
Uh and then ask him to send us a picture back for our webpage of him wearing the t-shirt.
