Time Text
Well, the astronauts continue to be outfitted and are now climbing aboard the space shuttle launch scheduled at 3.51 this afternoon from Cape Canaveral.
And as I said, the spacesuits being worn by the astronauts are the identical color of our club Gitmo gear.
Very popular fashion statement being made by NASA.
Telephone number, if you want to be on the program, is 800-282-2882.
The email address rush at EIBnet.com.
All right.
One more thing on all this Rove business, and I'm going to move on.
If you want to talk about it on the phone, feel free to do that.
Feel free to call.
But there are other things here, and I wish to get to them.
Keep this in mind.
Bill Clinton, you know, we're talking about crimes here and Rove behaving illegally.
And note, as I said last hour, that the libs, the media, the Democrats have all changed gears now.
They've switched directions.
They now know that there may not be a crime here, and they know certainly that even if there is one, they don't know what it's going to be.
So they've swerved away from Rove as a criminal.
They're now on this bit that Rove is a liar.
Rove lied.
He lied to Bush.
And you can't lie to your president.
And if you lie to your president, the president can't trust you.
And so Rove needs to be fired.
That's the latest tack that they've taken.
Let's talk about crimes.
Remember that former President Bill Clinton was held in contempt by a federal judge for intentionally lying under oath during a deposition to a grand jury.
Lost his law license for a year.
In this case, if there is any law breaking, it appears it's the New York Times.
So we have Clinton who broke the law and was cited for contempt by a federal judge.
The New York Times have broken the law.
Does it bother anybody that the liberals demanded that Robert Novak cough up his two sources, but at the same time they praise Judith Miller for not coughing up her source, despite receiving a waiver from the source?
And remember this, it's the source's prerogative to stay hidden.
It's not the reporter's.
If the source says, go ahead and make me public, the reporter is released.
How about Scott McClellan?
The press pounding all over Scott McClellan.
You can't sit there and say you can't talk because of the ongoing investigation.
You can't pull a Janet Reno on us.
They want McClellan to talk.
They want Bush to talk.
They want Rove to open up.
The Democrats are demanding all these people talk.
But nobody's demanding that Judith Miller open up and speak.
Have you noted this?
Nobody is demanding that Judith Miller, the press doesn't have the slightest bit of interest in the New York Times or Judith Miller saying what they know about this.
They want Novak to cough up his sources.
Does it bother anybody the New York Times company believes that it's above the law, despite lecturing us repeatedly that courts have the final say on matters of law?
Just put Rove aside for a moment.
Look at how the left has created the situation.
Look at what a bunch of partisan hacks they are, including the media.
Look at how their so-called principles are so flexible depending on the results they want.
Well, yeah, they have principles.
You shouldn't keep things quiet in a criminal investigation.
We need to know.
Except for Judith Miller.
So again, the White House needs to drop this new tone, folks.
They need to get engaged.
They need to get engaged in this.
They need to get engaged in this Supreme Court battle.
Need to stop having breakfast with a bunch of people who are out to destroy them and start reaching out to the base and their supporters who are desperately crying out for some Visceral leadership here on all of this.
We'll see where it unfolds.
Have you heard about the news regarding the deficit?
How about this from the New York Times today by Edmund L. Andrews?
For the first time since President Bush took office, an unexpected leap.
An unexpected leap in tax revenue is about to shrink the federal budget deficit this year by nearly $100 billion, ladies and gentlemen.
Unexpected by who?
Unexpected by Democrats.
Unexpected by liberals.
Unexpected by socialists, maybe.
Why was it unexpected?
Well, because of Bush's tax cuts.
Why, you can't grow the economy.
You can't raise tax revenue by cutting taxes.
This is another reason why the mainstream press and the liberals are falling out of favor.
Because people know now that you cut taxes and you increase economic activity.
You create more taxpayers and you create more tax revenue.
The deficit's $333 billion instead of $450 somehow.
The deficits come down over $100 billion with what?
No tax increases.
We haven't increased any taxes, but we're collecting more taxes.
How is that possible, folks?
This is what is so infuriating.
This guy who wrote the Times story, Edmund Andrews, may not know it.
He may not.
He may still believe that supply-side economics actually is nothing more than rich people going to the homes of poor people and stealing their money.
Because that's what supply-side economics is.
If you listen to any liberal describe it, it's nothing more than the rich stealing from the poor.
Figure that out mathematically, and I'll give you an A. How can you steal what doesn't exist?
How can you get rich stealing from people who don't have anything?
But that's what they say.
So here it worked for Reagan, and it gave us unbridled economic growth.
And we were just patient.
The Bush tax cut's kicking in now.
The economy roaring.
Unemployment lowest it's been in four years.
The Democrats tried to create panic over that.
They tried to create panic over any number of issues since Bush took office.
That's another reason why they're on the roof business because not one thing that they have attempted to create panic about has stuck with the American people.
And that's why I say again and again, they're making their last stand.
They tried to destroy Bush on the economy.
They tried to destroy Bush on the high gas prices.
They tried to destroy Bush on the war on terror, the war with Iraq, every little thing that can come up.
They try to destroy Tom DeLay.
They have tried to destroy any number of people.
Ashcroft, Gonzalez, he's the author of the torture memos.
Now they want him on the Supreme Court.
Talk about flexible principles.
It's one thing to have him as turned.
Well, we gave him his really rough time there, but yes, he authored torture memo.
You want this guy to be on the Supreme Court now, huh, Libbs?
You think people aren't wise enough to follow you on this?
The reason people are wise enough to follow you is because they're being told the alternative point of view from the one you express.
The reason you don't let people in the media don't get it is because you don't think that the people in the alternative media have credibility with the American people.
It is you in the mainstream media and on the left who are slowly but surely losing your credibility with those people on the basis of your own behavior, your own work, your own reporting.
Here it again, another classic example.
$100 billion reduction in the deficit.
Tax revenues unexpected.
I expected them.
A whole lot of Americans expected increased tax revenue with a cut in taxes.
It's not a surprise to me.
Why is it a surprise to people who refuse to see it work every time it's tried?
Because they don't want it to work and they're not interested in it working and they don't give it half a chance because it can't possibly be.
You can only raise tax revenue by raising taxes.
No, the exact opposite happens.
You raise taxes and you reduce tax revenue.
Ask the guys who built the boats when the luxury tax went into effect in the Clinton years.
The guys who built the boats on whom new luxury taxes were to be paid lost their jobs because Americans started buying boats overseas to escape the new luxury taxes.
Ask people in New Jersey who have car dealerships.
When New Jersey raised the sales tax on automobiles, New Jerseyans went over to Pennsylvania for lower sales taxes to buy their vehicles.
Ask the government of New Jersey.
And what did they do?
Raise taxes again even more to make up for the loss and plunge the state further into turmoil and problem.
Ask the airlines, what do they do when they lose riders?
They lower fares to get more people.
And can you get on an airplane that's not full anymore today?
You can't.
And it may turn out that some airlines are going to show a profit this year, I read the other day.
This is not a surprise to any of us.
This is not a surprise to people who actually follow what happens in the economy, rather than rely on a bunch of experts who predict it and are always wrong and then end up being surprised and say that, well, this is totally unexpected.
So they were out there saying Bush lied, people died, meaning the Iraq war.
Tax cuts will ruin the economy.
The truth of the matter is that Bush told the truth.
Millions of oppressed people were saved in the Middle East.
And the United States has not been attacked since 9-11.
Tax cuts have increased tax receipts by growing the economy.
Unemployment is down and things are looking up.
Unless you're a Liberal Democrat, in which case you are desperate as you can be, because the last thing you want to see is success anywhere.
You don't want to see conservatives succeed.
You don't want to see conservatism succeed.
You don't want to see tax cuts raise revenue to the treasury.
You don't want to see a war in Iraq actually save lives of the people in Afghanistan and Iraq.
You don't want to see any success story whatsoever.
You only want to see the dismal gloom that you predict.
In the midst of all this, the Democrats are worried about Karl Rove.
And why?
Because they cannot say the economy is in the tank anymore.
They cannot say Bush is killing people.
They cannot say all these things that they've been saying since 2001, because everything they've said, everything they've accused, every crisis they've tried to create has proven to be false and phony.
They've been wrong.
We have got to take a – they also – yes, that's true.
Another point, Mr. Snerdley just said, they also, you can't go out there and conduct a war without raising taxes.
Well, you can't do that.
Why?
The deficit's going to balloon sky high.
The debt to our children and grandchildren.
Why, you can't do it.
Hey, we're fighting a war.
We got tax cuts.
We're lowering the deficit and we're raising tax revenue.
Everything they say is wrong.
It's been wrong my whole life.
Everything the left says is wrong.
Every policy they have is wrong.
Every belief they have is wrong.
They did say that.
You can't conduct a war without raising taxes.
Where's the sacrifice of the American people?
The American people need to sacrifice.
I remember Pelosi saying it, Joe Biden saying it.
For all I know, Joe Wilson was out there saying it somewhere.
May as well be one of them.
He's never right about anything either.
Phony baloney, plastic banana, good time rock and rollers, publicity-seeking camera-face time jerk.
Hey, look at my picture in Vanity Fair.
That's my wife there.
Do you realize that Karl Rove blew her cover?
Well, then what is she doing sitting next to you in the car there in Vanity Fair?
You phony baloney, plastic banana, good time rock and roller, lying sack of excrement.
These people burn me up, folks, but I'm still happy.
Everything they say is wrong.
It's working.
You can't do this.
You can't do that.
You can't do that.
Well, we did that.
And guess what?
It's all working.
And all they've got now is Karl Rove.
And when this is over, they'll find somebody else to try to destroy because they can't rely on their policies, philosophies, optimism, which they don't have or anything else to succeed.
Quick timeout.
We'll be back after this.
That was so good.
I think I could just stop bringing a guest host and go home, play golf or whatever.
How do I improve on this?
We'll be back.
By the way, just so there's no doubt, higher individual income tax receipts accounted for more than half of the revenue growth, with net collections from individuals up by $105 billion or about 18% over last year.
Did any of those individuals' tax rates go up?
Nope.
If anything, the left's out there saying they got a tax cut.
Bush cut taxes on the real on the wealthy.
Bush cut taxes on the rich.
Yeah, well, what'd they do here?
They're responsible for more than half of the revenue growth.
But those rich are really happy about that.
And they are probably.
Well, some of them.
I know a couple who aren't.
But nevertheless, we won't make this personal.
Fact of the matter is, tax rates went down.
And guess what?
Tax revenue went up 18% over last year.
Now, this doesn't mean that the same number of people paid more taxes.
What it means is there are more taxpayers out there because there's more economic growth going on.
More people have been hired equals more taxpayers equals more tax revenue.
That's the theory behind it.
There's also one of the other theories is if you lower tax rates on individuals, they'll be more inclined to report dollars as income rather than try to shelter them someplace.
And there you get more revenue that way.
It works every time it's tried.
The only people that don't get it are those stubborn, obstinate liberals who still believe the Soviet Union would have worked if it had just had more money and more time.
Here's Chris in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
Welcome to the EIB Network.
Hey, Rush, I just want to tell you, I was listening to you talking about that guy, Joe Wilson.
And you are at your best when you are passionate, when you are actually kind of ticked off.
I think you were probably like raised as a gentleman and raised to kind of like hold your voice and be nice to people, but you are absolutely at your best when you are ticked off and just flowing with it.
Well, I appreciate your saying that.
We all reach our boiling points here.
And over the years, my boiling point's risen pretty high.
It takes a lot.
But this, the sight that we have seen the last two days with the media and knowing full well that they are behaving on the basis of a series of lies.
Joe Wilson lies is just, and they know it.
And that's the frustrating thing.
They know full well that they're carrying the water for a liar.
They know full well that they're backing up and carrying the water for a reprobate.
And it's precisely because they would rather be aligned with a reprobate and a liar, since he's on the same political side as they are, because they have the same enemy, George W. Bush, that the boiling point is reached.
So I appreciate your comment.
Thank you very much.
This is Bernie in Virginia Beach.
Welcome to the EIB Network.
Hello.
Hey, Rush.
Yay.
Hey, Dittos from Vacation Dittos from Club Getmo.
Well, the greatest place to live on earth.
Yes, sir.
Thank you, sir.
Hey, I was just wondering, Rush, what in the world is the media talking about Karl Rove for and these little insequential incidents when there was a bombing in Europe and terrorists are going crazy?
What is the deal?
Well, tell you, i'll give you.
I'll give you two answers to that.
Number one is, if it comes down to terrorism, blowing up innocent citizens or the opportunity to get Karl Rove at Bush, what do you think the press is going to do?
What's more important to them, innocent people dying or the chance to get Rove and Bush?
Number two, there's another reason why they may be ignoring the terrorist bombings, because the night of the bombings I remember a number of people on tv show.
One of them was hard-boiled with Chris Matthews suggesting that these were suicide bombers.
And Matthews, oh no no no, these are the suicide bombers.
That only happens in the Middle East.
They're suicide bombers.
Why don't we know who these guys are?
Why haven't we captured them?
This happened eight hours ago.
Where's the intelligence on these guys?
Matthews was demanding pictures and faces.
He wanted to know where these guys lived.
How come we hadn't caught them yet.
Well, it turns out the reason we didn't cut them, catch them, is because they blew themselves up.
Turns out now that the four bomb suspects are actually suicide bombers, and we know more now.
Police said yesterday they had identified four British-born men, all thought to be of Pakistani origin, as the perpetrators of last week's terror outrage in London.
All four are thought to have died in the attacks, the officials said, while declining to describe them as suicide bombers, okay fine, you want to split hairs Brits, go ahead.
Fine with me.
Another man was in custody after a search of the bombing suspects homes in the northern city of Leeds.
Uh, if confirmed as suicide bombings, the attacks would be the first of their kind in western Europe.
Other officials said, on the condition of anonymity, that police are still searching airliner records based on the suspicion that the mastermind fled Britain before the bombings, which killed at least 52 people.
These four suspects were born in Britain folks.
They were Pakistanis, they were born in Britain, therefore they're British citizens.
But they were gotten a hold of by some mastermind, apparently, who poisoned their minds and led them into this and then, as the cowards that these terrorists are, they flee the scene so that they're nowhere around to be caught after the dirty deed is done.
So here is this great group of Islamo fascists uh, claiming to have love and devotion for the people of the world from their religion, acting literally as a bunch of cowards.
One of the fathers of the four said he was stunned.
His son was mild-mannered.
I, when I heard this guy describing his son.
I remember John Hinkley's dad describing him.
He never got into trouble.
He was mild-mannered I mean, you never hardly knew he was around.
It's because he wasn't around he was being poisoned by this mastermind.
He did though, his father admit, go to Pakistan for two months recently.
So uh, they don't want to talk about this because all it does is make Bush look even better.
In the war on terror, Rove's a bigger target than Bin Laden.
You want to hear some of the other things going on around the country and world that being ignored.
This week, a Dutch Moroccan terrorist Terrorist finally admitted in an Amsterdam court that he slit the throat of Theo Van Gogh, the relative of the famous painter.
You know what Van Gogh's mortal sin was?
He dared to criticize the violent treatment of women by Islamic zealots.
This week, a bomb injured 14 people two blocks from Parliament in Trinidad.
The former British colony is a major supplier of liquid natural gas to us.
This week, a respected humanitarian activist in Somalia was killed.
Assailants cut his telephone lines, handcuffed his guards, and shot him.
His murder follows several attacks on people with foreign links working in Somalia, among them a BBC producer shot dead in February.
Now, these terrorist attacks, you have to understand, folks, are America's fault.
The London bombings were our fault.
Well, no, no, no, don't scoff, my friends.
Senator Barbara Boxer and other Liberal Democrats blame President Bush for creating terrorists because we're in Iraq.
You've heard him say that, or you've heard them say that.
I have.
The war on terror isn't a global struggle with America taking the leading role.
No, The war on terror is caused by American aggression.
Theo Van Gogh dead because of George W. Bush.
14 people injured two blocks in Parliament in Trinidad because of George W. Bush.
A respected humanitarian activist in Somalia dead because of George Bush and Karl Rove.
All of these attacks are Karl Rove's fault.
He advises George W. Bush.
The London bombings, Karl Rove behind them.
He advises Bush.
And Bush started all this terror by going into war against them.
A new report from the International Crisis Group reveals that Somalia has become a huge al-Qaeda haven ever since the warlord Mohammed Farid Adid Sahib Skyhook drove Bill Clinton to abandon our humanitarian efforts there.
Remember this, Blackhawk Down on Clinton's watch.
Al-Qaeda used Somalia as a base for terrorist strikes on our embassies in Africa, unanswered after Blackhawk Down, when Clinton refused to supply our troops under attack and then ordered them to cut and run.
You know, the Alfred E. Newman, what me worry, approach to terrorism, which we are still paying a price for.
But despite the fact that all of this has happened, who is the bigger target in Washington today between Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda terrorism, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, and Karl Rove?
Karl Rove in Washington today, a bigger target than Osama bin Laden.
A bigger target than Abu Musab Zarqawi.
A bigger target than international terrorism itself.
Yes, my friends, you can rest comfortably this afternoon and sleep well tonight, knowing full well that your mainstream media and their willing accomplices in the Democratic Party are protecting you from America's foremost enemy, Karl Rove.
Time to go to the audio soundbites.
I want you to hear what I said on this program yesterday.
Oh, by the way, the ditto cam's on.
I told Brian to turn it on during the break, and he did it.
And thanks, Brian.
And so welcome to all of you watching at rushlimbaugh.com.
I want you to hear what I said yesterday on this program, followed by what Mort Kondracki said last night on special report with Britt Hume.
They're just so eager for a scalp.
They've been trying for a scalp for so long.
They've tried to get mine.
They've tried to get Bush's.
They've tried to get any number of scalps as after 2000, and they failed.
They have just literally failed, and they can just taste it.
And last night, special report with Britt Hume.
We had C.C. Connolly of the Washington Post, Fred Barnes, and Morton Kondracki.
Britt Hume says, whether indeed the information he had was classified.
What about that, Morton?
You sort of can't blame the Democrats.
I mean, here they've got, this is better than Tom DeLay.
You know, Tom DeLay is all this murky stuff, and nobody knows him.
This is the captain of the team almost, or at least he's not the architect.
Actually, the coach, the architect.
And, you know, they're hoping to divest Bush of his alleged brain right here.
And they, you know, this is joy for them.
Perfect joy.
And probably perfect joy for you, Mort, sitting around watch it.
Because all this has become a great spectator sport in Washington.
Nobody has the guts to sit here and say, this is not good.
This is not productive.
This is not going to lead anywhere.
But no, it's a great spectator sport.
Gives people things to watch.
And of course, the more, the better.
Here's a montage.
Last night.
Yep.
Last night, this is from Lou Dobbs, CNN show.
Well, a bunch of them, actually.
We got Lou Dobbs, John Dean of Watergate fame, Wolf Blitzer, Representative Robert Menendez, and former Clinton advisor Leon Panetta.
And this is a montage here as you listen to them describe the White House and Carl Rove.
The White House effectively taking on a stonewall position.
Well, they're obviously doing the classical defense of the stonewall.
The White House, they seem to be putting up this stonewall.
There has been stonewalling.
There's no question he was stonewalling.
The White House now can't just simply stonewall it.
Stonewall it.
Stonewall.
The talking points have gone out.
All the libs and all the Democrats in the media on the same page.
There, the White House is stonewalling and Rove is lying to the president.
Well, let's go back, shall we?
Here is an audio soundbite of Janet Arno, then Attorney General, from January 29th, 1998, an exchange with an unidentified reporter.
Can you help us understand what you were trying to accomplish by attempting to keep the Charlie Tree indictment confidential?
I cannot comment on the matter because at this point, so far as I know, it is sealed.
So I don't think I can comment.
So I really shouldn't comment, can't comment.
I would not have any comment.
I don't think that I should comment again.
This is a pending matter.
I would not comment.
Again, as I indicated, I cannot comment on a sealed matter, but let us see how the circumstances unfold and whether we can comment subsequently.
Yeah, it was patently absurd, but I don't remember anybody out there saying that this was a stonewall.
And let's go back to January 28th of 1998 on Good Morning America.
We have a Hillary Clinton montage here.
This is about Lefebvre Lewinsky.
I really just want everybody to take a deep breath and relax and just, you know, sit back because here they come again.
People just ought to take a deep breath and let's just wait.
We just have to wait.
I know that everybody in the press is always so impatient.
Again, I'm going to say, everybody take a deep breath, just wait.
These things take time.
And when the truth comes out, this, like all the other accusations that have been made against us for so many years, will fade into oblivion.
Okay, so we've gone back and reviewed the histoi, ladies and gentlemen, of lib stonewalling that is not called stonewalling, lib lying that is not called lying.
And we do this just to excite your memories and to offer you perspective.
Andrew in Megalia, California.
Hi, and welcome to the Rush Limbaugh program.
Hey, Mega Dittos Rush from Blue State, Red Man in a Blue State.
But I just want to get right to my point is earlier you were talking about the major contradictions that left-wing groups made about the economy.
It's dismal, this and that.
Well, one more point to that, to add to that, is groups like moveon.org said that President Bush was targeting innocent civilians.
My question is, who's targeting innocent civilians?
It seems like the terrorists are out in London.
Yes, I know that's how it appears to the rational.
There's no evidence to back up any of this.
Oh, no, no, no.
Hear me out.
Bush is targeting the innocent civilians.
No, no.
Well, we all know that.
He's targeting them.
No, no, but Andrew, I want you to understand the left on this.
Bush created terrorism because he went into Afghanistan and Iraq.
Nancy Pelosi said it.
Barbara Boxer said it.
So these deaths in Britain, Karl Rove and Bush, because they created the terrorists.
So moveon.org from their cockeyed, perverted, decrepit perspective on humanity.
Bush is responsible for this because he created terrorism.
I hear it every day when I'm there about socialism.
Every single class I go to is some liberal professor regurgitating what the mainstream media is trying to feed me every day.
And then they come and tell me that the New York Times has a conservative bias.
Are you kidding me?
Well, you got it.
No, they're not giving.
This is what you have.
See, you have to understand this.
You are in a classroom.
It's the last place that liberals rule by fiat.
You're just a student.
Your grade is totally dependent on your attitude as much as it is on your learning in there.
But outside the classroom, the libs can no longer say what your idiotic professors say without having it thrown back right in their face.
You can't throw it back in your, or you could, but you don't dare.
So in your college classroom or high school, wherever, the libs still have their monopolistic control there.
But that's about a couple other places.
That's about it.
So just laugh at the people.
In fact, do what I suggested somebody do the other day.
Next time you have a professor saying whatever it is that upset you that you just described here, just start laughing in class.
Just sit there, not out loud.
Just don't go, don't do that.
Just sit there at your desk and kind of put your head down and start shaking.
Laugh under your breath.
Maybe don't even laugh.
Just shake like you are laughing.
And eventually the professor will be distracted.
What do you find so funny, Mr. Andrew?
And then deal with it however you wish.
I can't believe what I'm hearing, Professor Rush Limbaugh told me.
And then you get thrown out.
Laugh at them, Andrew.
Back after this.
Stay with us.
The NASA shuttle launch has been scrubbed a faulty fuel tank sensor.
So they'll have to fix that.
It's not weather.
It's a faulty sensor.
And welcome back, Rush Limbaugh.
Back to the phones now.
Greg in Detroit.
Welcome, sir.
Nice to have you with us.
Hey, Rush, Mega Dittos from somewhere around mid-Michigan here.
Thank you, sir.
Just real quickly, my cell battery is about to die, so I'll get right to my point.
But before I do that, I've got to say hello to a longtime fan of yours who turned me on to you, and that is Gordy out of Brighton, Michigan.
Hey, Gordy, nice.
Well, Gordy's doing the Lord's work out there, and we thank him.
He really is.
Hey, real quick, Rush, it looks like the folks, the Democrats up in Washington, are getting desperate again with this Rove thing appearing to flounder because we've got our illustrious senator, Levin, who is now raising all of these allegations at Gitmo again.
And the latest item that he's raising is the torture of these prisoners, citing how they're being stripped in front of women, being made to wear women's underwear, and being led around in dog collars.
Now, this is all in the midst with the backdrop of these barbaric acts in London.
And I think it shows just how desperate the Democrats are to raise anything.
Well, bring it down.
I'm not surprised that Levin would lead the charge back to Club Gitmo.
There is a new congressional report that was just released that details, it's just recycling the old story again.
The old story about all the mistreatment and the quote-unquote torture is being recycled now from a different source.
And this is coming after the general manager at Club Gitmo has been fired.
And they promoted somebody from Food and Beverage to take over the whole operation.
And the liberals demanded that there be a hearing into this guy.
Now, Army says, no, we're not going to have a hearing.
He's been dismissed, and that's enough.
Then they recycled the report of some of the things going on.
There's really nothing new in this, but it's providing an opportunity for the Durbans and the Levins to go back to it.
And I don't know whether it's because they think that they've fizzled out on the Rove thing.
I don't think they think they have yet.
I think they're just trying to add to it.
I think just trying to throw as much mud up there as they can, folks, and just confuse everybody as to what's going on in Washington and obscure whatever decent news there is to be reported or to cover up.
Well, not cover up, but to ignore stories like the London bombing and the progress being made there to understand and learn what happened because they know Bush wins on those stories.
So this is just the mud defense.
Just throw as much mud up there as they can.
Again, they don't understand that they've tried from Abu Ghraib forward, and the American people just aren't glomming onto this.
The American people are not developing an anti-war attitude.
The American people are not developing an anti-Bush attitude.
The American people are not demanding that this be stopped and that we get out of Iraq or get out of Afghanistan.
But the libs are so stubborn, so obstinate, they're just going to keep going because all they can do here is try to create another Vietnam.

They'd succeeded in banning coconut oil as the element used to pop popcorn from movie theaters.
They're back now calling SodaPop liquid candy, demanding warning labels on soft drinks.
And the question has been raised by ABC, would more information on the soda cans cut the caloric intake of kids?
I'll tell you, these liberals are just sometimes, folks, they are beyond description.
It takes all kinds.
