RadixJournal - Richard Spencer - You're Pathological, Even If You're Right Aired: 2022-10-07 Duration: 04:51 === Wife's Influence on Media Obsession (04:51) === [00:00:00] It was said by Lacan about the man who is obsessed with his wife cheating on him, the notion of his wife being adulterous. [00:00:10] And so he is doing everything. [00:00:14] He's spying on his own wife. [00:00:16] He's checking her bags, reading the receipts that he might find to see if she went out to some fancy restaurant. [00:00:24] He's just, you know, stays up all night, doesn't get any sleep because... [00:00:29] He thinks she might be leaving at 3 a.m. to meet her lover or something like that. [00:00:33] He just kind of ruins his life due to this obsession. [00:00:38] And Lacombe said even if his wife actually were sleeping with someone, it doesn't change the fact that what he's doing is pathological. [00:00:54] So even if he finds the truth, In a way, it doesn't tell you the real truth of why are you so obsessed with this? [00:01:05] Yes. [00:01:06] Maybe it's actually kind of... [00:01:09] Don't quote me on this, but maybe actually looking the other way might actually be your best move. [00:01:18] Don't ruin your marriage. [00:01:19] You've got a good wife. [00:01:20] Look the other way and then try to solve the problem as opposed to... [00:01:25] Obsessing about it and then freaking out. [00:01:31] And so I think it's very similar with Stop the Steal where, I mean, look, obviously in every election that's ever taken place, there's some weird thing about it. [00:01:43] And there's some fairly good cases you can make about social media censoring and mostly censoring the right. [00:01:55] Maybe censoring the left a little bit, but mostly censoring the right. [00:01:59] Twitter kicked the Hunter Biden laptop off the network. [00:02:05] It's just unfair. [00:02:08] Mail-in voting seems to help out Democrats, and that was promoted. [00:02:13] It just seems unfair. [00:02:14] I might even kind of agree with a lot of those things. [00:02:19] But even if you could find George Soros himself, Stuffing ballot boxes. [00:02:27] It doesn't change the pathological nature of what you're doing. [00:02:34] Yes. [00:02:35] So it's like you feel like you've lost your country due to a number of very important things. [00:02:43] Just generational and cultural change that is seemingly profound. [00:02:49] We get that. [00:02:53] Hollowing out of the middle class. [00:02:55] We got it. [00:02:58] The racial transformation that might not even be taking place in your hometown, but is taking place in the media you see, on social media, etc. [00:03:11] You know, Black Lives Matter riots that seem to be kind of like cheered on and were, to be fair, cheered on by... [00:03:20] The Democratic establishment and upper crust white liberals living in Arlington, Virginia or something. [00:03:30] But it's like that's the issue. [00:03:34] And so that expresses itself as the election was stolen. [00:03:39] So you're really not ultimately solving anything. [00:03:42] Even if you were able to win January 6th, none of those problems would go away. [00:03:50] And so it is pathological, regardless of what the facts are. [00:03:55] Now, I have never seen anything convincing or even compelling about the election being stolen. [00:04:03] Outside of some of those things, I kind of agree, actually, about the early voting. [00:04:09] I think you should vote on the fucking day. [00:04:12] Get off your ass, you know? [00:04:13] Like, I don't like this mail-in. [00:04:16] Maybe if you're in the army or something, you're stationed in Germany, you could do that. [00:04:20] But I think you should vote on the day. [00:04:23] And I agree. [00:04:26] I don't like the conservatives, but I kind of agree that they get the short end of the stick when it comes to social media censorship. [00:04:34] Even that is kind of interesting because it demonstrates how powerful social media was in 2016 and how pro-Trump it was. [00:04:44] But those aren't fraud arguments. [00:04:46] They're just kind of issues of fairness and stuff like that.
