	The Quarantine Act is very similar to the Emergencies Act, which effectively allows the federal government to declare martial law, but it differs in one very big way.
	Unlike the Emergencies Act, which is subject to the supervision of Parliament, the Quarantine Act was amended so that it no longer requires regulations made under the Act to be brought to the House of Commons or the Senate for potential amendments, in effect making Ottawa a dictator.
	They can just change the fucking laws whenever they want, and nobody even has to debate it because of this law passed on the 21st of June.
	And when you show this to people, they'll go, well, that's the law so there.
	They perceive it to be just, so it is.

	They're too busy trading each other's houses for higher and higher prices without ever stopping to wonder why the spike in real estate prices almost perfectly matches the increase in overdose deaths.
	And investigative journalist Sam Cooper demonstrates his new book, Willful Blindness.
	Maybe because Canada's government and public health officials still prefer to address the opioid crisis largely as a health problem, which supports for the mental health and addiction.
	While these are certainly needed, they downplay the role of organized crime and how it contributes to the crisis.
