Dems Becoming Progressively Worse!

Joe Concha, author of "Progressively Worse," details his abrupt attire change for a 3:00 AM Martha MacCallum appearance following Donald Trump's "amateur hour" NABJ speech. He contrasts this with Kamala Harris's total media isolation since becoming the 2024 nominee and criticizes Democrats for awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Megan Rapinoe, whom he accuses of supporting male competitors in women's boxing. Concha attributes the party's radicalization to CNN's 2019 climate-only town halls and MSNBC firing Rhonda McDaniel over pro-Trump views, predicting Trump will win as the 47th president due to inflation and foreign policy failures. Dramatic Shirt Change 00:02:44
Welcome back to the Dennis Prager Show.
Dennis, a pleasure.
Thanks so much.
I felt this clothing was a little more appropriate than I was just wearing about two and a half minutes ago.
Can I mention what transpired right before you came on?
Folks, this was a priceless moment.
I check in with people to make sure we have a good video and audio connection.
And Joe's sitting there in a Houston Astros T shirt.
And then he asks me, So, Dennis, is this video as well as audio?
And I go, Well, actually, it is.
And he goes, and you're wearing a shirt and tie, and I'm wearing a Houston Astros t shirt.
So I said, Joe, you have two and a half minutes.
Do whatever you want.
You look, you.
It's really the transformation is, I have to admit, is dramatic.
It's it.
Yeah, slightly.
Clark Kent, right?
That's right.
That's a perfect analogy.
He's now Superman.
Exactly.
Oh, can I tell you, Dennis?
Like last week, During the National Association for Black Journalists Conference, I was dressed just the way you saw, except for the baseball hat on, also.
So the hair's all screwed up.
And Martha McCallum's show contacts me and they said, Can you be seated at 3 o'clock to respond to what just happened at the NABJ with Trump?
And I look at my phone, it says 256, and I'm on a different floor.
And somehow we made it.
So I guess there's got to be a Guinness Book thing that I could get some credit for.
You might be able.
In all seriousness, though, it is.
I take that.
That was you.
Okay.
That's the fashion police.
Yeah.
Yes.
That's very good.
No, I actually tell people it's a separate subject, and I want to obviously talk to you about your book and about American politics, but I have been begging people to dress up for church because they now do go in Houston Astros t shirts to church.
Oh.
Really?
I'm not a fan of that.
I think that.
That church or synagogue is worth more.
So the before and after is dramatic.
Anyway, so Joe, you got this new book out, Progressively Worse.
And of course, if you write it, I recommend it.
And it is up at Dennis Prager.com, folks.
Why Today's Democrats Ain't Your Daddy's Donkeys.
Donkeys, of course, are the symbol of the Democratic Party.
But you've really provoked interest in me on your attending the NABJ National.
Was a National Association of Black Journalists.
Democrats Progressively Worse 00:10:26
You were there when Donald Trump was there?
Oh, no.
I was just at Fox waiting to go on Larry Cudlow's show, but I was like an hour and a half away from that.
So I was there in t shirt and shorts.
And then the three o'clock show calls me at 2 56 and says, Can you be seated at three o'clock to react to this with Jessica Tarlow and Martha McCallum?
So that's just the funny story.
So I'll get hair, makeup, suit on.
I got you.
Did you get to watch it?
Did you see his?
Oh, yeah.
So give me, I did not see it.
I've only read about it.
So give me your take on what happened.
Well, Trump was waiting 35 minutes to go on stage because it was amateur hour.
They couldn't get the audio right.
So he was already a bit peeved.
And then the first question comes from ABC's Rachel Scott, where she basically wasn't even a question.
If you could go back and read the transcript, it's a lecture.
It's like it goes on for like a good two minutes of her lecturing him about his past comments about, say, Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney who had that ridiculous lawfare case.
Against him.
And she basically implied because Trump was critical of Alvin Bragg, who is a black man, therefore that makes him a racist, where that doesn't exactly square because what about all of Trump's rightful criticism of Jack Smith, who at last check is a white guy?
So, right out of the gate, this was not remotely hospitable, but it was hostile.
And you have to expect that, I guess, in those sort of environments.
And meanwhile, you have Kamala Harris gets a free pass completely for not attending.
And you think about this now, Dennis, she hasn't.
Responded to one question, hasn't received one question since she became the Democratic nominee, in essence, 15 days ago.
So here we have a candidate, let's see, who ran for president in 2020 and didn't receive one vote.
Then she's the Democratic nominee in 2024 by installation, didn't receive one vote, and now she hasn't taken one question.
Meanwhile, Trump goes into the lion's den and actually did sit down and take questions.
And I thought he did quite well in hammering home the immigration issue.
But overall, everybody's talking about how, well, Trump and his temperament, when you're asked a question like that, he's allowed to defend himself.
I'm sorry.
Wow, you made so many excellent points.
So, what they're doing with Kamala Harris is what they did with Joe Biden in 2020, keeping him in a basement.
Why do you say even worse?
Even worse because Biden at least did a couple of interviews on Zoom or whatever in his basement.
Kamala Harris, again, hasn't taken one question by Zoom.
Actually, no, she did do one interview with RuPaul's Drag Queens.
That was two weeks ago.
I don't think we could count that as far as journalism is concerned.
All right, hold on there.
All right.
Let me remind everybody he's terrific.
Progressively Worse is his newest book.
I'm on with a terrific guy, Joe Concha, who's just written, he's with Fox News, and he's just written Progressively Worse Why Today's Democrats Ain't Your Daddy's Donkeys.
Donkeys, of course, are the animal representing the Democratic Party.
So, Joe, I just have your book in front of me, which is.
A delight.
And I just want to, I did not know the following.
And I read it during the break.
I'm being totally serious now.
There's no levity here.
I want to establish that I read it correctly.
Megan Rapino got the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
That's correct.
Yeah.
I think maybe one of the first female athletes, definitely the first female soccer player to ever get the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Can you imagine something so prestigious?
Something that so many veterans may deserve that got their legs blown off, their limbs blown off.
And instead, we're giving it to a soccer player who openly hates the United States and has said as much.
So, yeah, that's why these ain't your daddy's donkeys anymore.
Joe Biden's honoring somebody like that who openly has disdain for this republic and claims that email.
Go ahead.
Sorry.
No, no, no.
I appreciate it.
I just want to quote you that you quote her I'll probably never put my hand over my heart.
I'll probably never sing the national anthem again.
And Joe Biden and his party awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
I got to tell you, I report crappy news every day.
Thank God I'm a happy person.
And I mean that quite sincerely, because otherwise I think I would just have to take something to calm me down.
I have to say, I think that that represents the Democratic Party, that little anecdote.
Better than anything else I can think of.
You know, Dennis, this used to be the party, at least allegedly anyway, but you can believe some of it based on history.
The party of the working man and woman, the party of, you know, Scranton Joe, right?
And people across this country who just need a little help as far as from the government's concerned.
And now they're just so woke.
And Megan Rapido actually supports biological men competing against biological women.
She could say that now because she's retired.
She doesn't have to deal with it.
But I mean, can you imagine like Lionel Messi or Ronaldo or Mbappe, like all these great soccer players suddenly decide, you know what, I'm going to compete against the girls now.
I think Megan Rapido might have a problem with that.
And we saw what just happened here at the Olympics.
Last week, where you had a male boxer posing as a woman, pummeling an Italian female boxer, biological female, I should add.
It's at a point where she had to quit within 46 seconds.
This is what the Democrat Party is now, as far as openly having disdain for the country and getting rewarded for it by the President of the United States himself.
Disgusting, quite frankly.
Yes, it is disgusting, quite frankly.
That is correct.
DQF.
Disgusting, quite frankly.
I may keep that as an acronym.
What was the reasoning?
Behind her getting the medal, what did she contribute to the country?
Let's see, besides missing a penalty kick to help the United States lose last year in the World Cup?
Not sure.
I know, I guess she won some championships along the way, but so did other players on that team like Alexander.
Yeah, but you don't get a presidential medal for that.
I mean, no, you don't.
Wow.
Absolutely, you don't.
Well, folks, that's an example of why you should get the book.
I mean, I love the fact that your chapters are very short, it's just pithy and short.
Thank you.
We have like 28 of them.
That's right.
So you're right.
The metamorphosis of the Democratic Party, the tragedy as I see it in America.
I just spoke about this before you came on.
Leftists vote their values, conservatives vote their values, liberals are the only group that don't vote their values.
They vote left, which has nothing in common with liberalism.
So, can you name a figure?
That was the, and maybe there isn't, but a figure or figures that most contributed to the radicalization of the Democratic Party?
Oh, boy.
I think, believe it or not, not so much like the Democrats themselves, but the media certainly has.
That's certainly for sure.
Social media has helped push them to the left as well.
I'll give you one example with media how they've pushed the Democrats to the far, far left.
The year is 2019, and you're having the Democratic primary to go up against Trump.
And the Democrats have something like 24 candidates.
So CNN turns around and says, We promise one hour to each of you to do a town hall.
And they all agree to it.
But then there's a catch the town hall is only about the, as they put it, climate crisis.
So if you're the governor of Montana and you want to talk about energy or drilling or the economy or the border or foreign policy, nope, not allowed.
Only climate and the climate crisis is the only thing you're allowed to talk about.
So that's like one example of how the.
What year was that?
2019.
That's a very, again, an extremely revealing anecdote, and I salute you for it.
I remember it, but I remember it now that you've said it.
So you think the genesis of the radicalization of the Democratic Party lies in the media?
A lot of it, yeah.
I think Democrats take their cues from all the wrong media, right?
Like Joe Biden's favorite show is Morning Joe.
With Joe Scarborough and Nikki Brzezinski.
That might be a problem.
But yeah, we even saw it with MS. We actually, another example was good with CNN just last year.
They gave Donald Trump a town hall and he performed quite well at it.
And then the next day, Anderson Cooper actually went on CNN Air.
I couldn't believe I heard this.
And he said, I know you were disturbed by what you saw last night in terms of Trump being on there.
And then he says, I wouldn't blame you if you never watched this network again.
I'm sorry, you're fired if I were running that network.
That's nuts.
Or MSNBC, remember what they did?
They hired Rhonda McDaniel, who's the former head of the RNC, so she could actually have a pro Trump perspective.
And within 48 hours, she was gone from the network because all the on air talent, so to speak, rebelled.
Because we can't have a Trump supporter on here.
That's not allowed.
So they always talk about diversity, except they don't believe in the diversity of thought or the exchange of ideas or debate.
And I'm telling you, I think the media has a big, big role in this whole push to the left.
So, in 30 seconds, I hate asking people to make predictions, and I'm not going to even ask you for a prediction, but how do you see the upcoming election?
Donald Trump wins, and that's because the conditions on the ground have not changed.
Inflation is still too high.
We see what's happening with the economy now.
Foreign policy is only getting worse in the Middle East.
That is owned by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
And in the end, voters will vote Donald Trump as their 47th president.
Joe, you're always a joy.
And folks, it should be self recommending, as I on occasion say about terrific books Progressively Worse Why Today's Democrats Ain't Your Daddy's Donkeys.
Joe, keep it up the good work.
Thanks for coming on.
Thanks, Dennis.
Go Astros.
