Elon Musk, obviously the co-chair of the incoming Trump administration's DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency, has signaled that the federal employees should have to work from the office.
By the way, this column is from Daily Wire, so hat tip to them.
In 2022, Joe Biden agreed with Elon Musk that federal employees should return to work.
So isn't that amazing?
In 2022, you had Joe Biden agreeing...
With Trump agreeing with us, quite frankly, that these federal employees should return to work.
We shouldn't have to pay for these fools to stay home.
And now, in order to undermine the incoming presidency, you saw that the Biden administration signed this contract.
With the Social Security Administration that essentially locked them into this telework through 2029. And I think Elon Musk is right.
I don't know the workaround, but I think it could be figured out.
I'm not exactly sure how that'll work with the contract.
But man, if you don't come back to the building, you're fired.
You're done.
You're finito.
It's over.
You're finished.
Listen to this.
This Social Security Administration, they just spent $120 million to renovate a building that has 9% occupancy.
They renovated a building that nobody is in.
You know why they can do that?
Or you know why they do it?
Because they can.
Simply because they can.
These people have no concept of money.
This is why I want disruptors in Washington, D.C. This is why, frankly, when people say, well, they don't have any government experience.
And listen, I do believe it's important for people to understand the inner workings of government.
But I don't think it's necessarily important.
I know this is going to sound counterintuitive to have somebody that's been a Washington establishment type figure.
