[00:00:02]  If pain invalidated happiness, very few people could say that they're happy.
[00:00:09]  Pain is the opposite of happiness is unhappiness, not pain.
[00:00:13]  Do you ever look around at random people and wonder what the cause they're bearing is?
[00:00:17]  Well, I'll tell you that this will humanize me even further, which is fine.
[00:00:23]  So I remember at the most painful moments of my life...
[00:00:29]  Driving on a freeway in California, looking at all the cars going in the other direction thinking, they don't have problems.
[00:00:39]  I have problems.
[00:00:41]  It's so easy.
[00:00:42]  Of course it is.
[00:00:45]  Well, that's the great, you know the Helen Telushkin line, right?
[00:00:48]  Yes, it's a great one.
[00:00:49]  The only happy people I know are people I don't know well.
[00:00:52]  Well, here's another consolation, and it harkens back to even if you're in a period that you wish were different, appreciate the era that you're in.
[00:01:00]  I had a friend say to me recently that we were talking about if something romantically would percolate for one of us.
[00:01:11]  I forget.
[00:01:11]  This was a few months ago.
[00:01:14]  She said, on both of the individuals' ends, the situation is evolving.
[00:01:23]  And I thought, I love that word, evolving.
[00:01:26]  Because a consolation for you in your life is that life is always changing.
[00:01:31]  You are not going to be in the same place a year from now as you are today.
[00:01:37]  Because you, hopefully...
[00:01:40]  You're endeavoring to do better with your life, but also things around you are changing.
[00:01:45]  Like, you could get a call that you're fired from your job, or you could get a call that you're transferred, or you could get a call from another company.
[00:01:54]  Life is constantly evolving around you.
[00:01:57]  Hopefully not just you, but other people.
[00:02:00]  And you actually don't know what could happen, for the better or for the worse.
[00:02:06]  Does that make any sense?
[00:02:07]  Yeah, of course.
[00:02:09]  And so people go, oh God, I'm going to be stuck in this forever.
