Dennis Prager Show - Voters Reluctant to Support Candidates Opposing Abortion Rights Aired: 2024-10-21 Duration: 05:09 === Abortion's Weight on Votes (05:08) === [00:00:00] Gender gap is defining feature of deadlocked Trump-Harris race. [00:00:06] Wall Street Journal. [00:00:09] With black and Latino men moving toward Trump, the polls suggest that America is becoming a bit less divided politically by race, but more divided by gender. [00:00:27] The lead pollster for the pro-Trump MAGA, Inc., Super PAC, David Lee, said, I think men are very heavily economy-focused. [00:00:40] It all has to do with the economy and inflation. [00:00:44] While women also care about the economy, abortion weighs equally heavily as an issue in their voting calculations. [00:00:57] In a recent Wall Street Journal poll of the seven battleground states, 27% of women, but only 8% of men, listed abortion as the top issue motivating their vote for president. [00:01:14] One-third of women said they could not back a candidate who disagrees with them on abortion, compared with 18% of men who said so. [00:01:26] One out of every three women would disqualify a candidate if they disagreed on abortion. [00:01:35] Think about that for a moment. [00:01:40] That would be enough. [00:01:43] So if the candidate is for men competing with women in sports, putting men who say they're women in women's shelters and women's prisons, that's okay. [00:01:56] They agree with us on abortion. [00:01:59] If they're for taking kids to... [00:02:01] What is it called again? [00:02:07] The men in women's garb. [00:02:13] What do they call that again? [00:02:17] Men dressing as women. [00:02:19] No, no, no. [00:02:21] My wife is going nuts because I save the term all the time. [00:02:27] Oh, God. [00:02:31] One moment, folks. [00:02:33] This is driving me crazy. [00:02:34] I have a block against that name. [00:02:41] Story Hour is the last part of it. [00:02:44] Drag Queen. [00:02:45] Thank you. [00:02:46] Thank you. [00:02:47] That's right. [00:02:47] Drag Queen Story Hour. [00:02:49] That's okay. [00:02:51] But if we differ on abortion, you're pro-Hamas, or at least anti-Israel, that's okay, but you agree with me on abortion. [00:03:04] You're for open borders, that's okay, but we differ on abortion. [00:03:09] Screw my country, I care only about abortion rights. [00:03:17] Yes. [00:03:20] Overwhelmingly, even in places where there are restrictions on abortion, it's either time-bound or certainly if the mother's health is involved or victims of rape or incest. [00:03:33] Doesn't matter. [00:03:35] The moment you say, You don't have a 100% right to kill the child you're carrying. [00:03:43] That makes you anathema to one out of every three American women. [00:03:47] I bet there is no country in the world of which that is true. [00:03:51] No other country. [00:03:54] And of those one out of three women, what percentage do you think went to college? [00:04:01] I'll bet 80% went to college. [00:04:06] They're taught to hate people who say that the child has any worth. [00:04:11] Yet, if the woman wants to give birth and the child is killed in the womb, it's called murder. [00:04:19] It's called homicide. [00:04:23] One out of every three women. [00:04:26] Every other issue is secondary. [00:04:29] If I want an abortion in the seventh month, damn it, I'm going to get one. [00:04:37] That's it. [00:04:38] And you have no right to say anything, even morally. [00:04:41] Forget even legally. [00:04:44] My whole life has been, or nearly all, has been devoted to the moral question of abortion, not the legal question. [00:04:54] But that renders me anathema. [00:04:56] They couldn't vote for me. [00:04:58] Well, they couldn't vote for me for a lot of reasons. [00:05:02] I don't believe America is systemically racist. [00:05:06] I think Hamas is the villain and Israel is not.
