Another big issue is immigration.
As vice president, you are tasked with addressing the root causes of migration in southern countries.
And, and then she interjects, Harris, northern part of Central America.
The northern part of, yeah, of Central America.
Is that a riot?
She was supposed to be in charge only of illegal immigrants from the northern part of Central America.
So if you came from, let's say the middle is Panama, so if you came from the south of Panama, she's not interested in you.
How do you know?
I'm just curious, are you from the northern or southern part of Central America?
Oh my God, it's painful.
That deals, that affects the southern border of the U.S. Oh, not the northern border.
During the Biden-Harris administration, there were record numbers of illegal border crossings.
This is Bash.
Why did the Biden-Harris administration wait three and a half years to implement sweeping asylum restrictions?
Well, first of all, the root causes work that I did as vice president that I was asked to do by the president has actually resulted in a number of benefits, including historic investments by American businesses in that region.
Is that an answer to the question?
No.
Why did the Biden-Harris administration wait three and a half years to implement sweeping asylum restrictions?
Well, under my watch, more American businesses are making historic investments in that region.
The number of immigrants coming from that region has actually reduced since we've begun that work.
What is she talking about?
No, I mean it.
It's not a rhetorical question.
Is she talking about since we've begun having companies invest there, since we have come into office, to look at the American people and speak about a reduction in illegal immigrants?
Ooh, again, it's painful.
But I will say this, that Joe Biden and our administration worked with members of the United States Congress on an immigration issue that is very significant for the American people and to our security, which is the border.
And through bipartisan work, including some of the most conservative members of the United States Congress, a bill was crafted, which we supported, which I support.
So then, of course, it was Donald Trump's fault that the bill didn't pass, as if the bill was a great bill.
The Democrats are responsible for an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants.
And she doesn't address that fact, even though asked about it.
