Dennis Prager Show - What Does 'Dark Money' Mean? Aired: 2024-04-22 Duration: 01:18 === Dark Money Debate (01:18) === [00:00:00] What does dark money mean? [00:00:02] It was invented about 10 years ago to describe 501c4 nonprofits. [00:00:08] Those are the political nonprofits like National Rifle Association, League of Conservation Voters. [00:00:13] Now it kind of means anything the left doesn't like. [00:00:16] It especially means support for speech that the left wants to silence, right? [00:00:22] I say, ooh, you're supported by dark money, therefore we don't have to listen to you. [00:00:27] So their examples of our dark money would be what? [00:00:33] Well, you know, court battles, this comes up a lot in battles over the Supreme Court. [00:00:38] So both sides obviously support and oppose nominees to the court and make arguments about what the job of a judge is. [00:00:46] But the conservative side gets reported on massively. [00:00:51] Not so much Arabella, which is funding, demand justice and fix the court. [00:00:56] Two of the biggest groups on the other side. [00:00:58] Who are some of our biggest donors? [00:01:03] Well, in his day, Sheldon Adelson, of course, was a famous big donor for us, now gone to his reward. [00:01:09] The Koch brothers are the boogeymen for the left, although, of course, they're not well aligned with the Republican Party or Donald Trump, really.
