Dennis Prager Show - Why Does Hamas Continue To Reject Ceasefires? Aired: 2024-04-17 Duration: 04:33 === You'd Go Mad (04:25) === [00:00:00] Just reading the rejection by Hamas of the plan offered by the United States, Qatar, Israel. [00:00:10] Six weeks ceasefire and 900 terrorists, Palestinian terrorists, for just 40 hostages and six weeks for Hamas to regroup and they rejected it. [00:00:30] On occasion, I think about the hostages. [00:00:37] If they're still in tunnels, it's hard to imagine that the trauma is treatable. [00:00:47] First, you can't breathe well in the tunnels for a long period of time. [00:00:52] Second, you're with people who, if you're a woman, want to rape you. [00:00:57] And if you're a man or a woman... [00:00:59] Wanted to torture you and kill you, murder you. [00:01:05] What is it now? [00:01:06] Let's see. [00:01:07] November, December, January, February, March, April. [00:01:10] It's six months, half a year. [00:01:11] You're in your apartment. [00:01:20] You're in your little house on a kibbutz. [00:01:25] Like any one of you woke up today, a normal day, just go to work or take care of kids or whatever you'll be doing. [00:01:35] And then something that you would not have had a nightmare about takes place. [00:01:42] This is beyond nightmares. [00:01:47] I'm going next week to Washington, D.C. to debate the issue. [00:01:52] Come back and then two days later I go to South Africa as the speaker for a Passover retreat. [00:02:03] We'll go to Where is Dennis and you can check up on it if you want to go. [00:02:13] How many people get to have a safari in the middle of Passover? [00:02:21] Anyway, it was not something I wanted to do, that's my point. [00:02:24] Go to Washington, come back to Los Angeles. [00:02:27] Two days later, go 33 hours to South Africa. [00:02:31] But I am committed to making the case for Israel. [00:02:36] Actually, I think about those hostages, and I am reconvinced that the human being cannot... [00:02:51] God made us so that we cannot fully empathize. [00:02:55] We would go mad. [00:02:57] If you could empathize with everyone's pain, you would go mad. [00:03:02] You'd probably go mad in minutes, given how much pain there is. [00:03:09] But not only that, so it's not just that I can't fully empathize, because I've never undergone it. [00:03:18] It's that you can't imagine what it must be like. [00:03:23] Half a year in those tunnels transferred by people who want you dead. [00:03:34] One of the women who was let out was raped. [00:03:37] I'm not talking about raped on October 7th. [00:03:40] That was plenty. [00:03:42] What is the percentage, by the way? [00:03:44] Did you send me the article? [00:03:45] There was a percentage of Was it Palestinians who denied that any of these things happened? [00:03:56] Truth is not a value in, as I told you on the left, it is not a left-wing value. [00:04:02] I say that every day. [00:04:04] It's not a big value. [00:04:06] If you read David Price Jones, one of the most important books ever written about the Arab world, the closed circle it's called. === Believe What They Want (00:23) === [00:04:14] Price is P-R-Y-C-E. He was a Brit. [00:04:19] Truth is not a big factor in much of the Middle East. [00:04:27] So they, you know, whatever, they believe what they want to believe.
