Dennis Prager Show - How Does A Ship Lose Power? Aired: 2024-04-02 Duration: 01:45 === Bridge Collapse Trauma (01:45) === [00:00:00] People are presumed dead after the Baltimore Key Bridge collapsed. [00:00:07] How does a ship not have any alternate power? [00:00:13] If the main power goes out, at least power to be able to steer the ship. [00:00:20] Maybe not to move it, but to steer it. [00:00:26] I have a feeling, and it may be appropriate, I'm not a big fan of instantaneous lawsuits, but to do this amount of damage, it's a key bridge, no pun intended, in Baltimore. [00:00:46] Not to mention the deaths and presumed injuries. [00:00:51] And the trauma, imagine you're just standing there and all of a sudden the bridge collapses and you're in icy water. [00:00:59] Well, 47 degree water is close to icy water. [00:01:04] It's certainly hypothermia. [00:01:06] As far as the body is concerned, it's freezing. [00:01:11] So at least 8 people. [00:01:16] What does it say here? [00:01:17] Six people dead. [00:01:18] At least eight people were thrown into the water. [00:01:22] The container ship lost power moments before it struck the Francis Gotkei bridge. [00:01:28] That's worthy of looking into. [00:01:35] I think that that's obvious. [00:01:42] Amazing stuff. [00:01:44] In the world.
