Dennis Prager Show - What Happened at the ISIS Attack In Moscow? Aired: 2024-03-29 Duration: 09:56 === Revived ISIS Threat (05:07) === [00:00:01] A revived ISIS rampages in Moscow. [00:00:07] Wall Street Journal, one of the most coherent pages, along with the Telegraph in Britain. [00:00:14] A revived ISIS rampages in Moscow. [00:00:18] By the way, why is ISIS revived? [00:00:21] Because Biden left Afghanistan, that's why. [00:00:30] Did he do anything good? [00:00:36] If you take the word good seriously, I can't think of anything. [00:00:48] To all the other security risks in the world, you can add the return of Islamic State as a killing machine. [00:00:56] Think of Hamas, Hezbollah. [00:01:00] Boko Haram, ISIS. Do you realize how many Muslim murder machines there are? [00:01:10] Slaughter machines. [00:01:15] And do you realize how cowardly most of the media are? [00:01:19] They're just cowards because cowardice is the dominant human characteristic. [00:01:25] More than any other crappy characteristic of the human being, cowardice. [00:01:30] is the most dominant. [00:01:33] People are afraid to say, look at all the Muslim murder machines out there. [00:01:42] If there were Jews or these were Christians, that's what they would say. [00:01:47] The left excuses Israel of genocide, one of the great lies on earth. [00:01:55] Pure lie. [00:01:57] Pure. [00:02:00] But anything repeated enough is believed. [00:02:07] Russians were the victims on Friday as gunmen attacked civilians at a Moscow concert venue, killing at least 133. ISIS suicide bombers killed more than 80 in Iran in January. [00:02:21] And no one should doubt that the jihadists are looking to target Americans sooner or later. [00:02:29] And by the way, are any of them already here through the southern border? [00:02:37] Blaming Ukraine now helps Mr. Putin distract attention from his earlier dismissal of what has now cost so many innocent lives. [00:02:46] And it deflects from the fact that Russian security was so inept that the killers could rampage for an hour at the Russian capital and somehow escape in a car. [00:02:57] I mean, that's really something. [00:02:59] That's the capital city of a country. [00:03:04] ISIS, which has revived with a sanctuary in Afghanistan since President Biden's 2021 withdrawal. [00:03:15] The ISIS-Khorasan branch competes with the Taliban, oh, I forgot to mention them, and Al-Qaeda. [00:03:26] Let's say there were a group of Christians that did this. [00:03:30] A group of Christians slaughtered 133 innocent people somewhere. [00:03:39] you realize that Christians would be running, not walking, to the nearest media microphone to denounce it, to say what a disgrace this is to the Christian message. [00:03:54] The ISIS-Khorasan branch competes with the Taliban and Al-Qaeda for jihadist supremacy. [00:04:07] By the way, you know how you attain jihadist supremacy? [00:04:10] By slaughtering the most innocents. [00:04:15] That's it. [00:04:15] That's how you attain it. [00:04:18] But the Taliban lacks the ability and perhaps the desire to eliminate ISIS in Afghanistan. [00:04:25] Unworried about a U.S. attack on its hideouts, ISIS leaders can focus on planning attacks against foreigners as they have in Iran and now Moscow. [00:04:38] So, as you know, I read comments to most articles that I read. [00:04:43] So here's a comment I thought I'd share with you from a Wall Street Journal subscriber. [00:04:49] Under Trump's presidency, ISIS was defeated and the southern border was secure. === Two Propositions on Gaza (04:22) === [00:04:56] By reversing all of Trump's policies, Biden has unleashed worldwide chaos. [00:05:04] Correct? [00:05:07] That is exactly right. [00:05:12] To my pleasant surprise, the New York Times' David Brooks, who has been moving away from Every generation, [00:05:42] every age, seems to have a morally clarifying moment. [00:05:49] If you didn't realize how evil communism was during the Cold War, It said a great deal about you. [00:05:57] If you're anti-Israel now, it says a great deal about you. [00:06:01] At best, you're morally confused. [00:06:04] At worst, you are the useful idiot for evil. [00:06:12] He begins, There seems to be a broad consensus atop the Democratic Party about the war in Gaza, structured around two propositions. [00:06:23] First, after the attacks, by the way, did you see... [00:06:26] Did you see the comments? [00:06:37] They almost all disagreed with David Brooks. [00:06:41] He doesn't represent the New York Times readership. [00:06:45] The two propositions. [00:06:47] First, after the attacks of October 7th, Israel has the right to defend itself and defeat Hamas. [00:06:52] Second, the way Israel is doing this is over the top, in President Biden's words. [00:06:58] In other words, these are the two propositions of the Democratic Party. [00:07:01] Of course Israel has the right to defend itself, but it's gone too far. [00:07:07] What it should do is lose. [00:07:10] That's what it means. [00:07:11] That's the gist of his article, and that's the gist of truth. [00:07:15] Israel should lose. [00:07:18] The vast numbers of dead and starving children are gut-wrenching, the devastation is overwhelming, and it's hard not to see it all as indiscriminate. [00:07:25] Which leads to an obvious question. [00:07:28] If the current Israeli military approach is inhumane, what is the alternative? [00:07:34] Is there a better military strategy Israel can use to defeat Hamas without a civilian bloodbath? [00:07:41] In recent weeks, I've been talking with security and urban warfare experts and others studying Israel's approach and scouring foreign policy and security journals in search of such ideas. [00:07:53] I will say this about David Brooks. [00:07:55] He does his research. [00:07:56] He reads a lot. [00:08:01] The thorniest reality that comes up is that this war is like few others because the crucial theater is underground. [00:08:11] Before the war, Israelis estimated Hamas had dug around 100 miles of tunnels. [00:08:17] Hamas leaders claimed they had a much more expansive network and it turns out they were telling the truth. [00:08:24] The current Israeli estimates range from 350 to about 500 miles of tunnels. [00:08:33] The tunnel network, according to Israel, is where Hamas lives, holds hostages Stores weapons, builds missiles, and moves from place to place. [00:08:44] By some Israeli estimates, building these tunnels cost the Gazan people about a billion dollars, which could have gone to building schools and starting companies. [00:08:57] So why did Hamas spend a billion dollars on tunnels? === Leftists Without Compassion (00:54) === [00:09:04] Because they have only one interest. [00:09:08] Killing Jews and destroying Israel. [00:09:12] That's it. [00:09:13] That's their interest. [00:09:14] They have no interest in building up Gaza. [00:09:17] Every supporter of Hamas needs to know that. [00:09:22] And when they do know it, it doesn't matter to them. [00:09:25] Because they don't care a damn about Palestinians. [00:09:28] They hate Israel. [00:09:32] That is the leftist modus operandi. [00:09:35] Communists didn't care about workers. [00:09:37] Feminists don't care. [00:09:39] The feminist organizations don't care about women. [00:09:42] LGBTQ organizations don't care about LGBTQ. They're just leftists. [00:09:47] That's why there are queers for Palestine. [00:09:50] Palestinians kill queers. [00:09:52] But they're still for Palestine because they're leftists before they're pro-gay.
