[00:00:29]  The last two weeks of each year are my favorite two weeks of the year.
[00:00:34]  I hope you feel similarly.
[00:00:37]  If not, I wonder, what are your two favorite weeks?
[00:00:43]  What else could there be if not the last two weeks?
[00:00:48]  And it's hard to believe 2022 is coming to an end.
[00:00:54]  The speed is breathtaking.

[00:01:01]  I hope you had a good weekend.
[00:01:02]  I was in Phoenix all weekend, and I want to salute Charlie Kirk, my friend and colleague.
[00:01:10]  Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, had his AmericaFest, AmFest, and I was one of the speakers.
[00:01:22]  I spoke each day, culminating, I think he had about, I don't know, 8-10,000 people there, mostly students.
[00:01:33]  It was an extraordinary convocation.
[00:01:37]  Tucker Carlson spoke.
[00:01:39]  I drove over yesterday with a number of these terrific people.
[00:01:49]  It was really quite something for these kids and for any of the adults who attended.
[00:01:55]  And I didn't speak about politics.
[00:01:58]  I knew that so many would.
[00:01:59]  Don Jr. was there as well.
[00:02:02]  And I knew so many people would.
[00:02:05]  And I was tempted to.
[00:02:08]  But I decided to speak just on ideas for them to have a better life.
[00:02:17]  And I might, in the course of this week, review the talk that I gave.

[00:02:30]  I try to summarize in, what, 25 minutes or 20 minutes?
[00:02:36]  We were all allotted a very specific amount of time.
[00:02:43]  I know that they reacted positively to having something that was not specifically political, and they certainly need to hear the political.
[00:02:53]  But there is more to life, and in fact, the non-political is the root of the political.
[00:03:02]  I realized this when I was in graduate school, that People came to their positions overwhelmingly for psychological reasons, not because they had thought through all the alternatives.
[00:03:19]  I'll give you one example.
[00:03:21]  If you are raised by a helicopter parent, the odds, I see no quote-unquote study on this, but my view of studies has always been they either confirm what common sense suggests or they're wrong.
[00:03:38]  It doesn't matter to me that there are no quote-unquote studies.
[00:03:41]  I don't even know if you can have one.
