[00:00:31]  It's my brother's birthday today.
[00:00:33]  My older brother, he's six years older, called him up, and he said, it's sort of like your life is sort of like a movie, and you're really enjoying the movie, but you realize it's going to come to an end.
[00:00:53]  I'm laughing because it's a very, shall we say, somewhat dark note with which to begin the year.
[00:01:03]  I think that our inability to acknowledge the dark is a big problem.

[00:01:14]  I just devoted, let's see, today is Tuesday, started Monday.
[00:01:20]  I devoted eight days.
[00:01:25]  Four of us.
[00:01:28]  The editor, Joseph Tulishkin, the producer of the entire project of my Bible commentary, Joel Alperson.
[00:01:40]  Joseph Tulishkin came in from New York City, and Joel Alperson came in from Omaha, Nebraska.
[00:01:47]  And my wife and I, we are the four.
[00:01:50]  We read every single word.
[00:01:53]  Of the commentary, I have a fourth book coming out in, I don't know, about a year and a half.
[00:01:59]  It's called the Book of Numbers.
[00:02:02]  In Hebrew, it's in the wilderness.
[00:02:05]  Every single word is written.
[00:02:07]  This is like the fourth or fifth incarnation of any given chapter.
[00:02:13]  As I say to readers of my works, I work hard so that the reader doesn't.
[00:02:20]  You can't imagine how much work goes into every single sentence.
[00:02:25]  And that's what I've done for the last eight days.
[00:02:28]  Perfect timing.
[00:02:29]  I don't have speeches, not traveling anywhere.
[00:02:32]  And we got 14 chapters done.
[00:02:37]  That's the good news.
[00:02:38]  The bad news is there are 35. Well, gotta make a start somewhere.
[00:02:46]  So, I wish you a happier New Year.
[00:02:49]  I can't say Happy New Year.
[00:02:51]  My expectations are not gigantic, but a happier New Year would be good.
[00:02:57]  I didn't start off with a happy note with the nationally covered and somewhat understandably preoccupied football player named Damar Hamlin.

[00:03:17]  Yep, just fell down.
[00:03:20]  And he's now in a coma, to the best of my knowledge.
[00:03:23]  Is that right, Sean?
[00:03:24]  Is he in a coma?
[00:03:25]  Is that the, uh...
[00:03:26]  Yeah, that was the last we heard.
[00:03:31]  The lying media.
[00:03:34]  That's absolutely correct.
[00:03:36]  Which don't investigate the truth if it doesn't appeal to them.
[00:03:41]  Don't even raise the issue of why somebody so healthy and so young would have such a cardiac event.
