| I have not been with you, my friends, since last Thursday. | |
| Friday and Monday were Christmas weekend. | |

| And I hope you had a meaningful Christmas. | |
| Not just merry, but meaningful. | |
| Meaningful is a big deal. | |
| And it was a very touching thing for those of us celebrating Hanukkah. | |
| Eighth day, the last day of Hanukkah, and Christmas coincided. | |
| It's also very rare. | |
| And it was a meaningful time for me and my family. | |

| It's the last week of the year, and my producer and I decided that, in general, we're just going to open the lines as if it were Friday, third hour. | |

| That my column, which comes out Tuesdays, I wrote about the reactions on the left wing to my column about adult children who have severed all contact with parents and not allowed their parents to even see their grandchildren because they voted for Donald Trump or because they're conservative or because they're Republican. | |
| Leftists defend those who won't allow conservative parents to see them or their grandchildren is the name of the column. | |
