Thank you.
My mother passed away.
Hello, everybody.
This is the Dennis Prager Show.
I'm Dennis Prager.
Great to be with you.
I begin with a story out of Iowa.
Probably few of you are familiar with, or don't expect you to be.
So to speak, that is my job.
So here's the story.
Daily Mail.
Two Iowa teens charged with murdering their high school Spanish teacher surveilled her, ambushed her on her daily walk, dragged her into the woods where they killed her before returning to hide her lifeless body.
Willard Noble Chayden Miller and Jeremy Everett Goodale, both 16, are charged with killing Should be murdering.
Their Spanish teacher, Nohema Graber, 66, in Fairfield, Iowa.
No motive has been revealed for the grisly slaying.
Now prosecutors say the teens stalked Graber and surveilled her pattern of life.
See, they ambushed her on her daily walk and dragged her into the woods.
Boys were accused of returning to the murder scene to hide the teacher's body.
The body was found under a wheelbarrow.
Miller and Goodale are being held on $1 million bond each and have pleaded not guilty.
Well, if you read more of the article, look at that.
Pictures of these two monsters are up.
I have two.
This was premeditated.
They beat her in the head.
They cracked her skull.
And that's how she died.
A horrific death.
How such scum are produced is a very interesting question, and God knows better than most people how that happens.
If the parents of these two boys are decent people, my heart breaks for them.
But there are so many questions we all have, obviously.
But...
So there are two questions that I want to deal with.
Should they be executed if you believe in capital punishment?
And what age do you believe?
I believe in capital punishment.
Actually, I'm inclined.
I don't have a definitive position.
I'm inclined to believe they should be executed.
At 16 years of age, you know that murder is wrong.
Is that fair to say?
Do you know any 16-year-old who doesn't know that?
No.
The other is this.
So listen to what I will read to you from the Daily Mail.
After they were charred, Graber's son and daughter both took to social media To say they forgive their mother's alleged killers.
As I understand, this is the son, Christian, aptly named, since I presume it's Christianity that impels him to do this.
As I understand, it was pre-attempted murder.
Hmm.
Pre-attempted?
Yeah, just, he meant to say premeditated.
I know.
All right.
Premeditated murder by two students.
I forgive them and feel sorry that they had the anger, that anger in their hearts.
There's no point in being angry at them.
We should hope that they can find peace in their lives.
My mother was an angel of a woman, one of the kindest souls.
Hmm.
What do you think of that?
This is what the other sibling, I guess, was it also a boy, said this, to the two teenagers that so cruelly took her life, it's to the two teenagers that so cruelly took her life, it's a sister, it's a It is clear that they need more love and light in their hearts.
But I agree with my oldest brother, Christian.
All we can do is forgive.
So they forgave a day after they learned that her mother had been beaten to death for no reason.
Thank you.
What do you think, my friends?
You think it's noble?
Think it's the Christian thing to do?
In the 1990s, I wrote an article, an op-ed piece for the Wall Street Journal.
Can you dig that up?
I guess Dennis Prager, Wall Street Journal, forgive.
I think that's how I would search.
That happened, a school kid murdered other kids.
and other kids hung out signs from their rooms, we forgive you, and then whatever his name was.
It's so sad they had so much anger in their hearts.
They need more love and light in their hearts.
I think they probably...
I think society would do better.
But again, I'm not certain.
I'm inclined, this is an important distinction, to think the world would be a better place if they were executed.
You got it up here?
Okay.
Let's see here.
Wall Street Journal articles.
The Sin of Forgiveness by Dennis Prager.
That was fast.
December 15th.
Oh my God, almost exactly.
Let's see.
1997. 3 and 21. 24 years ago.
This is what I wrote in the Wall Street Journal.
The bodies of the three teenage girls murdered by a fellow student at Heath High School in West Paducah, Kentucky, were not yet cold before the students of the Christian prayer group that was shot at announced, We forgive you, Mike, referring to Michael Carneal, 14, the murderer.
Oh, he murdered students in a Christian prayer group.
This immediate and automatic forgiveness of a murderer is not surprising.
Over the past generation, the idea that a central message of Christianity is to forgive everyone who commits evil against anyone, no matter how great and cruel, and whether or not the evildoer repents, has been adopted by much of Christendom.
The number of examples is almost as large as the number of haters' crimes.
But one other recent example stands out.
In August, the pastor at a Martha's Vineyard church service attended by the vacationing President Clinton announced it was the duty of all Christians to forgive Timothy McVeigh, the murderer of 168 Americans.
I invite you to look at a picture of Timothy McVeigh and then forgive him.
The Reverend John Miller said in his sermon, I have...
And I ask you to do so.
The pastor acknowledged, considering what he did, that may be a formidable task, but it is the one that we as Christians are asked to do.
Though I am a Jew, I believe that a vibrant Christianity is essential if America's moral decline is to be reversed.
And that despite theological differences, there is indeed a Judeo-Christian value system that has served as the bedrock of American civilization.
For these reasons, I am appalled and frightened by this feel-good doctrine of automatic forgiveness.
This doctrine undermines the moral foundations of American civilization because it advances the amoral notion that no matter how much you hurt other people, Millions of your fellow citizens will immediately forgive you.
This doctrine destroys Christianity's central moral tenets about forgiveness.
That forgiveness, even by God, is contingent on the sinner repenting.
And that it can only be given to the sinner by the one against whom he sinned.
1-8 Prager 776 Amazing.
I hate these two monsters more than the children of the woman murdered.
We'll be back.
You have attorney binger pick up an AR-15.
Oh my god, yeah.
And just decide...
You have better trigger posture than him, Kyle.
Kyle, what is he pointing at?
Is he threatening the jury?
Pretty much.
He was pointing his gun at the gallery, and I looked at my attorney.
That's your gun, right?
That's my rifle.
Yeah, that is yours, right.
That we're having destroyed right now.
We don't want anything to do with that.
Oh, wow.
So, I looked at...
Corey, and I said, Corey, that's gun safety 101. Loaded or unloaded, treat a gun like it's loaded.
And he points it at the jury.
Exactly.
I think at that point I said, all right, they're freaking out.
I mean, they got nothing left.
So there's this video that the FBI had in their archives, 14 months.
It clearly shows you being chased down by this deranged individual, corners you, all of it.
HD, you know, this isn't, you know, behind the cars because, and this was always key that, you know, people who are looking at this never got, is that all the camera footage from that night was surface level, right?
Because it's handheld.
So, and of course, Richie thinks he has his camera going, but he doesn't.
And he's beating himself up over that, but, you know, it happens in the heat of the moment, that this thing is above, looking down, sees the whole thing.
You can actually see the anger.
And just, you know, insanity in Rosenbaum's face as he's chasing you.
That I don't think you show that face to anybody.
That they would think that this guy...
Let alone threatening to kill them twice that night.
Right, right.
right that he has anything other than, you know, very dangerous, evil intentions.

No, nothing's been good enough.

This is Carol Platt-Lebao for townhall.com.
China has built the largest DNA database in the world, and it's only growing.
This should concern all of us.
That's because China could use this information in the future, perhaps, for example, to build bioweapons targeting specific ethnic groups.
Given this background, common sense dictates that Americans shouldn't be storing their DNA or other personal information with Chinese-linked firms.
Quite sensibly, after getting an FBI briefing about the firm's connections to China, the Los Angeles County Sheriff notified the county that his office wouldn't work with Folgen.
That's the genetics firm LA County hired for mandatory COVID testing and registration.
Folgen even admits in a public disclaimer it stores information outside the United States where data privacy protections may not be as secure.
I'll bet.
What's alarming is how many others have chosen to work with Folgen.
The question is why.
I'd like you to know
that the Job Creators Network, one of the greatest groups in America, is suing the Biden administration over its illegal vaccine mandate.
Fire people.
Fire them.
Allow them no income if they're not vaccinated.
Small businesses continue to suffer from uncertainty over whether or not the mandate will take effect, how much of their workforce they'll lose, And so on.
With your help, Job Creators Network goes on.
This is not an appeal for money.
It is just an appeal for them to know who you are and join the great number of people in the Job Creators Network.
I'm very careful with my words.
I love these people.
All you do is go to blockthemandate.com.
That's the least you can do.
Not everybody's cut out to be a fighter, but everybody can help the fighters.
Not an appeal for money.
They want to know that there are people backing them, and they want you to know what they're doing.
BlockTheMandate.com I continue with the article I wrote in 1997 in the Wall Street Journal.
When a kid in a high school murdered three kids in a Christian prayer group, Many of the kids hung out signs, we forgive you, the same day or the next day.
And I'm reading it to you because it's in today's Daily Mail.
They captured two high school kids, 16 years of age, did a thrill murder, bashing the head in of their Spanish teacher.
And the son and the daughter of the teacher have forgiven them.
Want them to have love in their lives?
I'm more inclined toward their execution.
I continue the article.
This doctrine destroys Christianity's central moral tenets about forgiveness, that forgiveness, even by God, is contingent on the sinner repenting, and that it could only be given to the sinner By the one against whom he sinned.
These tenets are unambiguously affirmed in Luke 17, 3-4.
And if your brother sins against you, rebuke him.
And if he repents, forgive him.
And if seven times of the day he sins against you, and seven times of the day turns to you saying, I repent, you shall forgive him.
This flies in the face of what poses or passes for Christianity these days.
The Declaration often repeated that it is a Christian's duty to forgive just as Jesus forgave those who crucified him.
Of course, Jesus asked God to forgive those who crucified him.
Jesus never asked God to forgive those who had crucified thousands of other innocent people.
Presumably because he recognized that no one has the moral right to forgive evil done to others.
You and I have no right, religiously or morally, to forgive Timothy McVeigh or Michael Carneal.
Only those they sinned against have that right, and those they murdered are dead and therefore cannot forgive them.
Indeed, that is why I believe that humans cannot forgive a murderer.
If we are automatically forgiven no matter what we do, even if we do not repent.
Why repent?
They have actually, the son and daughter of this woman, I'm obviously veering from my article, have deprived these monsters of the ability to repent.
Right?
You're forgiven.
If a baseball player gets up at home plate And it's declared that he's hit a home run without his swinging.
Why should he swing?
Is it absurd what I just said?
Of course.
So, too, it's absurd to forgive murderers who don't repent.
When confronted with a...
Whoa!
Those who forgive all evil done to others have substituted themselves for God.
When confronted with such arguments, some callers to my radio show offered another defense.
The students were not forgiving Carneal for murdering three students.
They were forgiving him for the pain they caused him.
He caused them.
All right.
I'll continue.
I'll continue now with your calls.
Again, two Iowa students just...
What's the word?
Arrested, I guess.
It happened last month.
Their Spanish teacher had her head bashed in.
It seems to be a thrill murder because of the rampant boredom in our secular society.
Secular societies produce boredom.
Secularism plus boredom Equals leftism.
I'm not saying these kids are leftists, but I just want you to know those are the roots of leftism.
Secularism and boredom.
There is no meaning in life.
There is no God.
No religion.
So I join a cause to fill the emptiness of my days.
Alright, let's go to James in Burbank, California.
Hello, James.
Hey, Dennis, good morning.
I understand your overall theme of exactly what you're saying, but why would you have an opinion on a family that their parents were murdered, and if they invited that guy that night to their house for dinner and wanted him to spend the night, that's them.
That's their parents were murdered.
That's what it takes them to forgive without them asking for forgiveness.
Like I said, the theme of what you're saying, I understand, but you should have zero opinion on what this family does to forgive this, because they're going to have to live with this horror for their whole life.
You shouldn't have any opinion on this particular situation.
Alright, should I have an opinion in a general way?
Generally, yes.
I understand what you're saying in a general way.
Hold on.
I hear you.
I shouldn't apply the general position to a specific instance.
You shouldn't voice a public opinion on it, because let's just say these people are listening to your show, and they hear that, and they think, how can this guy have an opinion on what it's going to take for me to wake up in the morning, or for me to...
He shouldn't...
I mean, if me and you were having a beer tonight or whatever, and you want...
All right, what if they raise the money for the bail to let them out?
Can I have an opinion on that?
My instinct is going to say no just because it's their parents.
They're the ones that have to live with it.
No, I have to live with it too.
I'm not in pain the way the children are, but I'm in pain.
I bet you are too.
I can't believe that these people would say that.
I'm saying now with my mom still.
If that happened to me, would I forgive that person right away and I'm a Christian?
Probably not.
But I'm not going to judge or think or judge them, for they have to wake up in a morning if that's what it means for them.
Okay.
I hear you.
You're repeating your point.
You've said it well.
I'm judging, not them, I'm judging what they did, because it's wrong.
And I need to teach people that.

I do want to mention that peace is something that I want in my life.
And unless I forgive people, there's very little chance I'll have peace.
You know, it's like if I were to drink a glass of poison and expect the other person to die, in this case those two kids, that's not going to bring me peace.
Let me ask you, do you forgive them?
I would forgive them on a personal level, but that does not absolve them from their social responsibility to be accountable.
I don't know why forgiving murderers, especially those who don't repent, brings you peace.
I have tremendous inner peace, and I would have more inner peace if most murderers were executed.
It would mean I lived in a society that hated murder.
I have less peace because these people are allowed to live.
I'm talking about premeditated murder, where there's no shredded doubt, etc.
Anyway, I've got to let you go for time, but thank you.
It's an interesting question.
What brings you inner peace?
My aim in life has been to achieve inner peace.
And I achieve inner peace in large measure by fighting evil.
That's right.
Not forgiving it.
I guess people get peace in different ways, eh?
Okay.
Brent in Minneapolis.
Hello.
A particularly sick city.
Good to be in touch with you here.
I guess I'm commenting on the last two comments in conjunction with just the content.
I think both comments that have been offered already have, like you stated, has been emphasized on what gives them peace component.
And I think the...
The problem with that when you're dealing with biblical Christianity is that we, as Christians, are under a moral high ground of God's Word to provide for us what should give us peace.
And what should give us peace is what God says is what is right and what is wrong.
And so if we're doing what gives us peace...
Outside of what God has said is right and wrong, then it's not coming from God Himself.
The peace that we're getting is a subjective peace, and we can really get that from anywhere.
So what binds us?
I agree with you.
Anyway, the morality and what brings you inner peace, they may conflict.
God's moral demands if we want to use God, and I do.

Hello.
Hi.
Hi.
I was wanting to comment on the forgiveness aspect.
And I just think that as Jesus forgave, we should forgive others as well to be more like him.
He forgave those?
I'm no theologian.
I'm no theologian or anything.
I am a theologian, but it's irrelevant.
I don't pull rank.
You're a thinking person.
So he forgave those who crucified him.
Did he go around forgiving people who did horrible things to others?
No.
Well, I take that back.
He didn't go to them and say that he forgave them.
But if they ask for forgiveness, they will.
Well, these kids didn't ask for forgiveness.
Now, the man on the cross beside him didn't ask for forgiveness either.
Right.
But they didn't...
That was a big part of my point.
Timothy McVeigh never asked for forgiveness.
These two kids are pleading not guilty.
They have nothing to repent for.
But the daughter and son have forgiven.
Right, but you said...
They don't want to hold contempt in their heart.
They don't want to hold what in their heart?
Contempt?
Contempt.
Why not?
What good does it do?
It establishes moral foundations.
They can still mourn the loss of their mother.
Yeah, well, they would mourn the loss of their mother if she had a heart attack.
True.
And they could be angry at God for allowing that to happen.
And they can't be angry at humans for doing it?
God didn't give her a heart attack.
At worst, God allowed it.
But these kids didn't allow her to be murdered.
They murdered her.
And who are you or anybody, any of us, to forgive these kids?
We're not related to the crime.
We don't have to forgive the crime.
So you're comfortable with saying, I forgive these two kids, even though they are not penitent?
Yes.
Well, alright.
There have been people who have been ill in my life.
My stepdad cheated on my mom, and I have forgiven him.
He knows it.
We are not in each other's lives.
I don't forgive his actions, but I am not going to walk around with a bitter pill in my mouth over it.
I agree with you.
I think that's very important to do that.
I don't compare what your stepdad or your dad did to what these kids did.
It's true adultery isn't the Ten Commandments, but God isn't an idiot.
He knows that they're not all the same.
Violating the Sabbath and mass murder are not the same sin.
These are ten basic principles of life, but they're not all equal.
In their violation.
I've long said that the most controversial book I could write would be titled, God Has Common Sense.
The way God is often depicted, He doesn't.
It's interesting what gives people inner peace.
I am at peace with hating these kids.
Okay?
I would not be at peace for loving these kids.
Just for the record.
Gives people different peace.
And I'll tell you why.
Because I'd be fooling myself.
The human reaction to what these kids did is not, hey, I love you and I forgive you.
That's a forced reaction.
So I'm not sure why that gives inner peace.
I am at peace.
Knowing that there are moral foundations of the world, and if I love good people, what should I do with evil people?
Love them equally?
Well, we're back to my old problem of unconditional love.
That means love is the only thing in life removed from moral categories.
Everything has right and wrong except love.
It's always right.
That doesn't give me peace.
Alright, we continue.

everybody, I'm Dennis Prager.
I could do this for three hours.
Just reported two 16-year-old Iowa students tracked the routes taken by their Spanish teacher, a 66-year-old woman, planning to simply beat her to death, which is what they did.
And they're arrested now, and in the article...
It is noted that the son and daughter, I presume they're in their 30s, let's say, have announced that they forgive the murderers.
And I find that immoral.
They didn't even repent.
They're pleading not guilty.
Even if they repented, I don't know that it's in I don't know how I... Oh, look, I'll be very clear.
I can't forgive what you do to somebody else.
The victim of what you did is the person who can forgive you.
It's chutzpah for me to forgive you for what you did to somebody else.
Let me summarize your calls because I... At least I want to get your thoughts.
Dan in Minnesota, I completely agree with you.
To forgive them is to enable them.
Vincent in Louisville, Kentucky.
They cannot forgive the murderer.
We don't know what they are forgiving.
Well, they're forgiving presumably the murderer.
Chris in Portland, Oregon, I think her kids are saying, I'm not letting this destroy my life.
Hmm.
So then it's a selfish pursuit.
What brings me less anger and more peace?
Not, is it right?
Does it make me feel better?
Is the operative element.
Anyway, it wouldn't make me feel better.
I can, I can, what is it, chew gum and walk at the same time?
I can harbor anger at despicable human beings and continue my life.
I do.
I harbor anger at despicable human beings, and I'm a happy guy.
It's what Charles in Irvine, California says.
It's a selfish pursuit.
Your inner peace doesn't make the world a better place.
I mean, it depends at what price you get inner peace.
I think inner peace is critical.
I have more inner peace being angry at the murderers than forgiving them.
Okay?
Because I love a world in which moral foundations actually exist.
People need to think about this.

*Music* Hi everybody, the Male Female Hour on the Dennis Prager Show.
Every Wednesday of the year, unless it's following an election day.
Amen.
So pretty much every Wednesday of the year, second hour of my show.

So many ways, the Dennis Prager app.
You can get all my shows without commercials at pragertopia.com and the internet, dennisprager.com, for the live feed of all three hours anyway.
The second hour is devoted to the most honest talk about men and women in the American media, of which I am aware.
I want to add that.
I feel very free to talk about men and women.
My father, I attribute that to my father.
My father would talk about sex at the evening table.
With the ease with which he would talk about politics or anything else.
It's part of life, and it needs to be addressed.
And I am neutral between men and women.
I only like good people.
I don't like men.
I don't like women as a group.
I like good people, whether they're men or women.
Okay, so that's the story of the male-female hour.
Today's hour is not for kids.
99% of my shows I would love kids to hear.
This hour is probably not for little kids.
I think teenagers.
You know you're teenagers.
I think it's okay, but you are the parent and I want you to have that authority and make that decision because the subject is breasts.
Alright?
I'm telling you right now.
And it is amazing when I think about it, because I've talked about a lot of things that touch the sexual, and yet I've never devoted a show to a very powerful subject.
If it weren't powerful, I wouldn't address it.
And I should have.
What really prompted it is one of my screeners, a wonderful woman.
Leslie is her real name.
I asked her before, should I call you Joan?
But she said, use my real name.
And Leslie is one of my screeners.
She's a terrific woman.
She's a good-looking woman.
She's a middle-aged woman.
And the subject came up because I invite people to be open with me.
It's one of the joys of my life.
People do open up to me.
Because they know...
It's a safe space.
There you go.
Look at that.
I'm using the term safe space.
I am a safe space on whatever subject.
I'll give you an example that has nothing to do with sex.
I was with one of the leading, almost household name, Christian, in one of the largest denominations of the country.
I'll just go as far as that.
I was at his home after I gave a speech for him, and he said, Dennis, I want you to see something.
And he showed me one of the largest personal humidors I had ever seen, stocked with cigars.
He said, my congregants and my colleagues don't know about this.
But I feel totally safe telling you, among other reasons, you're Jewish.
So it's not an issue.
So people feel quite open with me, and they should.
So I don't remember, nor does Leslie, how the subject arose about breasts.
But it did arise, and Leslie was open enough to mention to me that she had a breast reduction surgery.
So the issue arose, and then I said, oh really?
Because it's not like you're small today.
Right?
That was my reaction.
That's right.
Yeah.
And so you showed me pictures of you and your husband from years ago when you were married.
And by the way, I told her, I told Alan, I'm telling you.
You would think they were both models.
I'm dead serious.
I'm not complimenting them.
I'm telling you a fact.
That is what you would think.
These are two models.
So, okay.
So, it arose the question.
So, let's begin with why did you have a breast reduction operation?
I was very uncomfortable for many years.
Physically uncomfortable and often emotionally uncomfortable because of the attention I got, even as I got older.
And there was a catalyst moment.
Should I tell my story at the Grove?
Of course.
I was 50 years old at the time, so I wasn't like, you know, some 18-year-old beach babe or anything.
Beach babe.
That is a good term.
I was wearing a coat because it was wintertime.
Even in California it gets cold in the winter.
And a man dressed as a priest with a TV crew or video crew started following me and making fun of my physique.
Wait, what does that mean?
What did he do?
Well, he started guessing my bra size.
You're kidding me.
No, I'm not kidding.
And a crowd...
Wait a minute.
There were such men?
I'm embarrassed.
I'm actually embarrassed as a man.
I can tell stories.
Yeah, well, the stories are critical because the issue is I don't know what it's like to be a woman, let alone have breasts.
And you, as a collective, you women...
I have experiences that I have no idea about.
So this man actually followed you?
Yeah, he was a dirty comedian, but I didn't know that until he started speaking.
Okay.
And the video cameras were on me, and a crowd was forming, and he was making extremely lewd remarks also about...
Publicly?
It was at the Grove.
For people to hear, not just you?
No.
I mean, there was a circle of people.
To the crowd.
Yeah.
He also made jokes about parts of his body that were not funny.
I imagine it was some cable show.
I never found out.
And I did not know that the footage could not be used unless I gave my signature.
So I thought, for all I know, this was like live on the air somewhere.
And inside I was freaking out, but I tried to remain calm.
And I didn't want to run away because I thought it was going to look, you know, they would just laugh more if I ran away.
Anyway, that was that.
It really disturbed me a lot because, you know, I was the mother at that time of young adults, I guess.
You know, I was not young.
And a few months later, I was at our synagogue.
It was the kiddish, you know, when we have a little snack after the service.
And my husband whispered to me, stand up straight.
And a woman next to me, Lainey, if you're listening, said, I know why you're not standing up straight.
And then she proceeded to tell me that she and her daughters had had this surgery and how it changed their life and, you know, that I should not be afraid to do it.
And next thing you know, I went to my insurance company.
They denied me three times.
I actually called a woman at the insurance company because they had photos.
And I said, I won't...
Name you ever.
This won't come back to haunt you, but you saw my pictures.
Do you think I need that surgery?
And she said, yes.
And not only was I endowed, so to speak, I bled in my shoulder areas, you know, where the straps were.
Whoa.
Yeah.
Anyway, I got the surgery.
What changed as a result of the surgery?
You know, as soon as I woke up, my mother was there, and she said, I can see a difference already.
And I was a little groggy, but I looked down and, like, oh, my goodness, I look normal.
I look normal.
It was such a fabulous feeling.
Did it change the way some men reacted to you or not?
Well, when I was younger, it was much different because I was single and, you know.
And liked the attention?
No, I never liked the attention.
It scared me to death.
All right, that's one of the things I want to talk about, about how women react to the male's attention, specifically to their breasts.
That's a major theme.
We have to address it.

China has built the largest DNA database in the world, and it's only growing.

That's because China could use this information in the future, perhaps, for example, to build bioweapons targeting specific ethnic groups.

As one caller said, and I adopted the notion, I'm transparent and I like it from others.
Anyway, she mentioned, and I don't know why it arose, and she doesn't remember why it arose, just a week ago, about having had a breast reduction surgery.
And we talked about breasts and women who are well endowed.
So now we're up to the issue of the attraction.
So I want you to go back to when you were single.
What age did you marry, Leslie?
I married Richard when I was 33. Okay, so you had a long period of being single as a young woman.
Did you like the attention your breasts attracted?
I hated it.
And it was very hard for me to get into a relationship with a man.
I mean, I had many boyfriends.
I don't think a weekend went by that I didn't have at least one date with somebody.
If you can still use the word date, that might be outdated.
Good pun.
But it was obvious sometimes when a man is attracted to...
I know men are visual, but if a man made it obvious that he was looking me up and down, that was the kiss of death for me.
I would never, ever go out with them anywhere.
And that happened a lot.
And it also happened on the street with strangers.
People would make remarks.
I have to say, I'm looking at Alan.
Do you get that?
We are men.
We are normal, sexual men.
The idea of making a comment to a stranger, that to me is the definition of a lowlife.
I mean, I don't mean to comment, you know, Oh, you're a great-looking woman, or something like that.
I mean a vulgar comment, which is what you're referring to, correct?
Yes.
Yes.
Okay, so go on.
So I really had to endure a lot of vulgar comments from the time I was probably 14 and 15, because that's when I... Blossomed.
Blossomed, yes.
Right.
Yes.
And older men sometimes, I mean, in those days, if I was a teenager, an older man could have been...
But nevertheless, you know, I would just be walking on the streets with my friends and, you know, somebody would make a dirty comment.
And it made me feel very sleazy and it affected my self-esteem.
And anyway, that kind of thing happened a lot.
So let's talk about women who wear a low-cut blouse or top or whatever dress.
So is it...
Isn't it a little wrong for them to resent?
Not comments.
Comments is totally resentable.
But looks?
If a guy looks at a woman, I don't mean stares, but looks at a woman in a low-cut top, it seems to me if she's showing, he can be looking.
Right.
And women want to be admired.
I think everybody wants to be admired.
Yeah, I mean, obviously we want to look good, but you don't want to look sleazy.
Whenever I see women, especially here in California, where just about everybody has had plastic surgery, or so it seems, when you see women who are really exposing themselves, I always think they had implants, because if they grew up with those, they would hide them, because they would have a lot of baggage.
That's an interesting thought.
Okay.
So you feel better now physically, obviously.
Absolutely.
Right.
And there's also, you know, this saved my life, you know, the breast cancer?
Yeah.
I think I told you about it.
Maybe that's how we got onto this topic, is I told you about the breast cancer?
Maybe.
Well, after the reduction surgery, I had post-op appointments with the surgeon, and about a week later, he was walking behind me.
I was on the table.
He was walking behind me.
And he said, I need to talk to you about the pathology report.
And lo and behold, they found breast cancer.
And I had just had a mammogram.
I had a mammogram every year.
So they found it because of the surgery?
Yes.
Well, thank God.
Thank God.
It saved my life.
How do you like that?
Yeah.
All right.
1-8 Prager 776. 877-243-7776.
Women and breasts.
What do you think of women breastfeeding their baby in public?
Oh, I did that.
Were you covered?
Yeah, I covered myself with a blankie or something.
So nobody would know what you were doing?
Well, I think they could tell, but they didn't see anything.
What about where you can see the breasts?
I think I'm asking it because I think women...
In that regard, need to understand the breast is a sexual item.
It's not just a milk producer.
It's so funny.
Nobody was more self-conscious than me about my breasts, or about their breasts.
But when I had babies, you lose that feeling of sexuality regarding your breasts.
Right.
So if you need to feed your baby, you just...
Right, but...
You can do it discreetly.
That is not true for most men.
For men, yeah.
Yes.
They don't see it as a milk pump.
They don't want to see it as a milk pump, to be honest.
It's a very tricky issue, sex.
It just is.
It's a very complex subject.
1-8 Prager 776. 877-243-7776.
What about on the beach when you were a young woman?
It was so hard to find bathing suits.
And when I was young, I wore a two-piece like all the other girls.
And that elicited a lot of attention.
But I wanted to look like everybody else.
And as I got older, well, after I had children, I started wearing one-pieces, I guess.
But it was just difficult.
It was really difficult to find something that camouflaged what I had.
I would think so, yes.
You know, I had another turning point that I should mention, if we have time.
When my parents celebrated one of their anniversaries, they took all of us kids and grandkids to Hawaii, and every morning there was a big buffet with all kinds of food that you could take.
And my kids were kind of little, and I needed to take snacks for them during the day when we were sightseeing.
So I would take apples and things and stick them in my bra, and nobody noticed that I was bigger.
That's an amazing story.
You stuck apples in your bra?
Yes, I did.
Okay, that's a first on the Dennis Prager Show.
All right, 877-243-7776.
So let me ask, I guess, the $64,000 question.
Men are conflicted in trying to understand women on this.
And by the way, there may not be a general rule.
It may differ woman to woman.
And when we come back, I want to discuss that with you and callers.
And that is, you want attention, you want men to think you're attractive and attract them, correct?
Of course.
Okay.

Male-female hour.
This hour is not for kids.
The subject is breasts.
Women and breasts, men and breasts.
She's really, really early at night.
You're doing really great, Leslie.
Thank you.
Were you nervous?
Extremely.
Did you sleep last night?
I slept.
Yeah, I slept.
Well, when you got up, it was the first thing you thought about?
Yes.
Or second?
Probably the first.
I was worried I would say too much.
You're doing great, and I mean it.
I thought we would just speak briefly.
So it all started because somehow the topic arose, maybe because of breast cancer, but that you had had a breast reduction exam, and then we discussed men's attention to you and specifically your breasts and this whole issue.
Women, look, as I said, sex is extremely complex.
It's sort of a subtle dance between the two sexes.
Because on the one hand, I think most heterosexual women, which is the vast majority of women, want male attention, especially when they're single.
Correct?
Tell me if there's anything I'm saying that you differ with.
Not so far.
Right.
And the vast majority, not all.
I would say vast.
The majority of women know the power of the visual, whether they acknowledge it or not.
Is that correct, too?
I know that now.
Did you know that when you were 20?
No.
If I saw a man looking at me, I thought he was a dirty scoundrel.
Oh, that's fascinating.
See, that's really an interesting subject.
You were naive, then.
Very.
Right.
Why were you naive?
Why was I naive?
Were you raised in a sheltered environment at home?
My parents were very permissive.
They allowed me to go out on my first car date when I was 14. Nothing happened.
It was totally proper.
Drive-in movie.
Nothing happened at a drive-in movie?
Nothing happened.
You may be the only one who can say that in American history.
Yeah, he was a gentleman.
How old was he?
He was probably 16, 17. A 16-year-old gentleman.
I like that.
All right, anyway, so obviously you didn't get a birds and bees lecture.
No, I did not.
When did you discover the power of the visual in men?
I think I was innately aware of it as I developed because I could see eyes turning at me.
But you thought they were all dirty.
Absolutely.
Okay.
And they may not have been.
Actually, you might have helped me see that it's not a dirty thing to look at a woman because I've listened to you since Religion on the Line.
I never dreamed I'd be working for you here.
Best job in the world.
Right.
And the pay is awesome.
You don't get rich in radio, at least at my level.
You know, you've spoken many times on how men are visually attracted, or you've had the wonderful Alison Armstrong on, who has spoken about that, and I think it really made an impact on me, and I changed my thinking.
And also, I was older, and I was married, and more mature, I suppose.
So a girl's on the beach in a bikini, so she's pretty close to naked.
Yes.
And I'm not objecting, by the way.
I'm just describing the reality.
I'm sure you're not.
I'm not.
No, no, no.
Some men, you know, for religious reasons, would object or not even go to the beach.
Okay, I'm not objecting.
I'm not that religious.
I'm very religious, but not that religious.
So, here I am, almost naked, and if a man looks at me, he's dirty.
Yep.
Okay, so men think, what the hell is wrong with you?
So, both sexes...
Oh, he's dirty and he's thinking, you think I'm dirty?
You're practically naked and I'm not supposed to look?
And I'm not talking about staring or ogling.
So it's a very important tension between the sexes that I think being realistic has.
Because having said everything you said, you were grateful you were good looking.
Yeah, I'd rather be good-looking than not good-looking.
Okay, well, that's a very big deal.
I think a good-looking woman should say that instead of, oh, my God, look at the attention I'm getting.
How would you like no attention?
The thing is, when you get attention from so many random people, you don't know who's interested in you for...
Of course you don't.
Of course you don't.
Rich men don't know if women are interested in their money or them.
It's the same thing.
That's right.
So you find out.
But it's better to have money than not.
Absolutely.
Okay.
Better to have breasts than not.
Back in a moment.
This is awesome.
It's truly terrific.
This is awesome.
Right?
So this has changed in the culture.
We now have entire stadiums screaming blank Joe Biden.
I actually think that in some measure this is a sign of health in the country.
I don't think you're wrong.
In fact, my last column I talk about, in essence, what the American people are feeling in terms of how they're being treated by the current administration.
Now, excuse me.
By the way, I'm not saying I approve of it.
Right.
It makes me uncomfortable.
But at the same time, it seems like a strange sign of health that we feel free enough.
To say that...
Well, and I don't even know that we necessarily feel free.
What I would say is that the American people feel like kind of a battered spouse at this point.
Okay, you wrote an article.
And that the administration is so abusive to how they're treating people that this reaction that you're seeing, and it started out in two college football stadiums.
It's now been in dozens to hundreds.
It's the new wave.
NFL teams had it going on this week.
Talladega or NASCAR or whatever they ran, had people chanting it.
There is something so inherently abusive about how people are being treated.
By the government.
They are, and particularly in a society that wouldn't consider itself particularly crystal-centric.
And it is, I am actually thankful, to your point, to see a degree of...
We're not going to let this abuse continue, even if it's nothing more than using our freedom of speech to say something that's very vulgar and attach it to him.
We're not taking it anymore.

This is the Male Female Hour.
This is a great example, this hour, of the honesty about men and women.
Who talks about breasts in a real way, non-lascivious way?
That's what we're doing.
My guest is one of my screeners, Leslie.
Subject came up of her having a breast reduction surgery.
When did you have it?
2006. It's been 15 years.
Oh, interesting.
And it saved your life.
Yes, it did.
Because they discovered breast cancer.
Which had not been detected in a mammogram.
That is truly...
And by the way, this might scare people, but most, I don't know if most, many mammograms miss cancer, I learned.
If they didn't, very few women would have, because most women have mammograms.
Yeah.
Yes.
And maybe if you're larger, it's easier to miss.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Well, thank God you're here.
Thank you.
You've been terrific, by the way.
I told you this off the air, so I'm going to tell it to you on the air.
All right, everybody, let's go to calls here.
Chicago and Karen.
Hello, Karen.
Dennis, how are you?
I didn't think I'd call you on this topic, but yeah, go ahead.
I'm glad you called.
I didn't hear.
What happened to Karen here?
Can you hear me?
Now I can.
Are you talking into the phone?
Yeah, I'm driving, but I can hear you.
Oh, you're driving.
Okay, go ahead.
Okay, yeah, I don't share the same views as Leslie.
I find that I never was without a boyfriend from age 69. I met my husband, who my breasts were the first thing that attracted him, and I made sure that I liked showing them off, let's say.
I didn't always, but I noticed that women sometimes would look at me with disdain if I did go out with my husband and I had a low-cut top and more so than men.
But I like my breasts, and I knew that that's why men first were attracted to me.
As I said, I was never without a date from 16 on.
I've been married for 25 years, and I love my breasts.
What do you say, Leslie?
I think you had or have a much healthier attitude about your body than I had.
I'll bet you didn't expect that answer.
That's what I love about you, Leslie.
I'm serious.
That is a very rare person to acknowledge.
Maybe that is a better way than I have.
That's why I said I thought, and you agreed, you were naive.
I think you represent a very large, I don't think the majority, but I think a large percentage of women were in your world as well.
What are they looking at, these dirty old men or dirty young men?
Dirty men, period.
Young or old.
Whereas Karen in Chicago, I really like it.
I don't know.
I personally think that her attitude is a better attitude.
And so do you.
I do.
Because it's funny.
I appreciate the sexuality of life more than ever.
Because I remember when I was in Morocco for two weeks.
At the age of 21. And all I saw was women covered head to toe.
And I felt that it was a deadened world.
And for the first time, because I was raised religious with the notions of modesty, and I still understand them and appreciate them.
I mean, there's a time and a place, obviously.
But I have to say that it is one of the glories of human existence.
The sexuality of women and that men appreciate it.
That some men are vulgar is a tragedy.
There is no perfect answer to the problem.
All right, Karen, that was good.
I thank you.
Debbie, New York City, hello.
Hi, thank you for taking my call.
I come from a different angle.
Sadly, when I was only 38, I had breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy.
And could not have reconstruction.
I was married at the time.
The marriage collapsed, partially due to what had happened, I believe, and the trauma that I had to go through with heavy treatment.
May I ask, don't forget where you were going, but I just have to ask, why couldn't you have reconstruction?
It had to do with the type of treatment I had.
I had radiation that was very intense and it affected the quality of the skin.
The possibilities.
Believe me, I went to tip-top hospitals in New York.
I did want reconstruction.
But I managed in my early 40s to still, now I was divorced, go out and date and found relationships and found men that accepted me and was in a stable relationship for a period of time, but that did not work out.
But now I find myself at a much...
Later stage in life and wanting to date on many levels being attractive and yet I feel very very nervous when it comes to discussing this with men and on the few times that I have I feel that it has been a deal breaker because we haven't had history and I wanted Janice to have your opinion about what you think men,
more mature men How they would respond to a person who on all other levels was significantly attractive, and yet she is missing one breast.
What is going through the man's mind at that time?
What can you tell me about this?
Because I find it terrifying in many ways, I have to say.
Well, look, the most, well, it's not the most important thing I can say to you, but it is important for me to say to you that my heart goes out to you.
Thank you.
That's the first and foremost.
Men, there are two words for, I've always felt this, there are two words for men, male and man.
Man is what we should aspire to become.
I was raised, be a man, Dennis, be a man.
But we're not just men.
Even the greatest of men is also a male.
The male part's an animal.
By the way, there's a female animal, too.
There's females and women.
But for men, it's particularly true.
And we can't fully control that.
it's like saying to me, don't get hungry.
So, I don't have a perfect answer for you.
No.
I'm sure you figured out a way to dress and so on.
And I wish I could give you a hug.
This is Carol Platt-Lebow for townhall.com.

If he was disappointed and to explain why he was not able to sell a member of his own party, Joe Manchin, on the idea of Build Back Better, why this was not important for the American people.
In cut number nine, Biden says, hey, it's not over yet.
He seemed optimistic that there was still hope.
That he could bring Joe Manchin around.
Cut number nine.
You've met with Senator Joe Manchin a number of times.
You invited him to your home in Delaware.
He came to the White House a week ago.
Then he's on Sunday morning cable and says, I'm a no.
How does that happen?
How are you not able to close the deal?
Well, look, let's talk about what we have done.
We have passed more major legislation than anybody in their first year ever, ever, ever, ever.
I haven't given up on this.
I haven't given up on it.
Senator Manchin's main sticking point, it would appear, is the child tax credit.
Are you willing to take that out if it means bringing him on board?
Well, look, I want to get as much as I can possibly get done.
As much as we can possibly get done.
I still think we'll be able to get a significant amount of what we need to get done, done.
Particularly as the American people figure out what is in this legislation.
Well, isn't that part of the problem?
That the American people kind of know what's in this 2,000-page spending bill?
Isn't that the problem, Mr. President?

Joe Manchin knows that the people of West Virginia can't afford what you're trying to sell.
This is another example of an hour I wish would go two hours.
Thank you.
And I'm glad every call is from a female.
I'm very pleased about that.
Let me summarize your calls because of the time factor.
This has been an hour about breasts.
Carol in Phoenix, Arizona.
I disagree with women feeding babies in public.
It depends how much is shown.
That's my take on that.
If she's completely covered, I don't even know why one would even know necessarily unless you kept looking.
But I agree with you.
The notion that, well, it's not a sexual thing because I'm nursing.
You have to have a graduate degree to say something that stupid.
Because you have learned it in graduate school.
Let's see.
That's right, Chris in Stevenson, Virginia.
Whether women understand it or not, men think of breasts as sexual.
That's exactly correct.
And there's nothing you can say to them to change their minds.
Because it's not from their mind, it's from their brain.
Nancy is 70 in San Diego.
I still get comments about my breasts from men who are not subtle.
Well, that's good news and bad news.
Let me put it to you that way.
Let's see here.
Laura, Columbus, Ohio.
I went through the same surgery as Leslie.
Best thing I ever did.
There you go.
You two should meet.
Let's see.
Oh, here's a man.
Giovanni in Atlanta, Georgia.
I think some women exploit, quote unquote, their assets to attract us men.
Of course they do.
I don't know what's wrong with that.
They want to attract men.
What is the first thing that a man is going to appeal to?
Your mind?
He gets to know your mind after he gets to be attracted to you.
It's foolish advice to a girl.
Oh, it doesn't matter how you look.
Men will fall in love with your heart.
Yes.
In the realm of the metaphysical, that may be true, but not on earth.
Yes.
Okay.
This was really important, clarifying the issue.
Leslie, you were terrific.
Thank you so much.
So were you.
And you, Alan.
Thank you.
Thank you on behalf of Alan.
Alan, the mic is not with Alan.
He thanks you, too.
And Sean.
And William.
Keep going as far as we can.
Oh, and Jennifer at the phones today.
I knew she would keep going.
All right, this was really important.
This is under the category of clarifying life, which is what I try to do pretty much every hour.
Okay, don't bring up your daughter's naive.
That's my final statement.

The whole thing is up in flames.
I don't even want to spend a lot of waste a lot of time on the degenerate who burned it It was a guy from Brooklyn, I think 49 years old.
They miraculously got him.
And I just cannot shake what a metaphor that is.
You know, millions and millions of people watch Fox News.
Fox News celebrates American exceptionalism, greatness.
Very patriotic channel.
There's no way around that.
They love the country.
They proudly air plenty of conservative views, along with liberal views as well.
They try to take their fair and balanced mantra pretty seriously.
And some evil guy decided...
To burn down the Fox News channel Red, White and Blue Christmas Tree last night.
And it's gone.
And I just keep thinking about how much evil there is right now in the country.
What we're up against as Americans.
Right is wrong.
Good is evil.
Up is down.
Everything is inside out.
And I was so anguished this morning in hearing about this and so upset.
And I know a lot of it is because of my personal relationship over the years with Fox.
I spent many, many hours walking to and from Fox as a Fox News contributor.
I guest hosted Sean Hannity's show a number of times.
I guest hosted Fox and Friends back in the day.
I was on Fox many, many nights.

The hard infrastructure bill that you helped pass, it meant a lot in terms of what it's going to get done, but it also meant a lot in the politics of getting Build Back Better killed.
Can you explain that to people?
Yeah, I mean, initially the Democrats knew, the poll data was clear.
What was popular was hard infrastructure, deteriorating roads and bridges and expand broadband.
That was the popular part.
And so I liked the approach in the Senate of putting together a bipartisan group.
The president ended up agreeing with that to deal with the popular part of it, which I described as the sugar, leaving the Democrats to see if they could pass the spinach.
And as we ended the year, it looks to me like they couldn't swallow the spinach.
Now, I know Schumer said last night on a call, he's not giving up.
I don't expect him to.
But the worst of BBB, it appears to me, is dead.
It does to me as well, and congratulations on that.
It was great strategery, as former President Bush liked to say.
I want to turn to senators.
They have different career paths.
Some are looking down the street at 1600, and some are looking at Mitch McConnell and want to be leader someday.
John Thune's actually been in both positions.
I read a story that got me upset that John Thune might be thinking of retiring.
How do you say, say it ain't so, Joe, in South Dakotan, Leader McConnell?
Well, John Thune is an outstanding senator.
He's done a great job as a whip, which is our number two position in the Senate.
It would be a real setback for the country and for our party if he retires, and I certainly hope he won't.

Yeah, that is yours, right.
That we're having destroyed right now.

I think at that point, I said, all right, they're freaking out.
I mean, they got nothing left.
So, there's this video that the FBI had in their archives, 14 months.

Hey, everybody. everybody.
Dennis Prager here.
First hour was on forgiving murderers of your mother.
Just happened.
Teacher murdered by two 16-year-olds.
They planned it for, I don't know how long, but they planned it.
They followed her, kidnapped her, beat her to death for fun.
The son and daughter of that teacher immediately announced that we forgive these monsters.
They are monsters.
No matter how you look at it.
If you say they are so young that they didn't know the difference between right and wrong, which is absurd.
Every 16-year-old knows murder is wrong.
That they're really monsters.
No matter how you slice it, they're monsters.
Then we talked about breasts on the male-female hour.
I'm only telling you this because I want you to understand I don't exaggerate when I say we talk about everything in life.
Oh, I used to say everything in life, what did I say?
Poetry, architecture, and gardening.
remember that that's still pretty much accurate I don't It's just a funny thing to think.
You know, when I spoke in Hungary this past summer, the two Americans they brought to speak at this conference...
We're Tucker Carlson and myself.
And Tucker's speech was all about architecture, and it was great.
The garbage that is produced, generally speaking, in modern architecture compared to the past.
Anyway, gardening has no future on the show.
That I will acknowledge.
However, for the record, we did one hour on poetry.
A woman got, a Polish woman, a poet, got a Nobel Prize for her poetry.
Now, I don't know Polish, so I'm not, I can't say anything, but I did look up the English translations, and I decided to do a test with you, my listeners.
During the break, I made up a poem, I read what I made up, and I read her poetry.
And asked people to tell me which one was Dennis and which one was the Nobel Prize winner.
I fooled the people here.
Sean voted for me.
I'll never forget it.
He thought that was the Nobel laureate's poem.
Okay.
Oh, one prefatory word on the virus.
So many people are getting Omicron so fast.
My view of Omicron, unless things change, is that it is a gift of nature to us.
It is like the mass inoculation that we needed.
Very few people get seriously ill, and it gives you the antibodies, and this should end the whole thing.
Should.
I don't know if it will.
So I think it's a great thing.
Get everybody naturally immune, and then go back to life, which I don't know if Democratic mayors and governors will allow, or teachers' unions, the anti-student movement.
How can we hurt students is the motto of teachers' unions.
I believe that, by the way.
I do believe that.
I don't exaggerate.
It's obviously not official.
But that is exactly what they do.
Teachers unions hurt students.
Deliberately.
Okay.
Now, there's an article.
What does FE stand?
Foundation for Economic...
something.
Anyway, they produce good stuff.
Why college degrees are losing their value.
The concept of inflation applies to other goods besides money.
Inflation is related to the law of supply and demand.
As the supply of a commodity increases, the value decreases.
Ah, there you go.
And that's what's happened to college degrees.
Why college degrees are losing their value.
In 1942, 4.2 million Americans were four-year college graduates.
Guess what the number is today?
Yeah, you didn't see this.
You know what the number is today?
Four million Americans had a four-year college degree.
How many today?
20, 30 million.
You ready for the number?
99.5 million.
Not each year.
No, no, no.
Total.
This was total then, too.
So that means a little under a third of Americans, of all men, women, and children alive, have a four-year college degree.
My dear friends, I knew it when I went to college.
I didn't even go to my college graduation.
What did I do that day?
Did I go to a movie?
I think I went to a movie.
There were 2,500 kids in my class at Brooklyn College.
And I didn't go to my Columbia University graduate school graduation because I actually gave my master's thesis orally, but I didn't write it.
Instead, I wrote a book, which is still in print.
College degree.
All of you employers who demand that your employee, somebody applying for a job, have a college degree, unless you're hiring people in science, technology, engineering, or math, what are you talking about?
What do you give a damn if they went to college or not?
I'll tell you, for PragerU, we don't care if you went to college.
In fact, there may be a little bias in favor of those who didn't, because they were probably ambitious young men and women who wanted to make something of their life and not sit in class and be lectured to by people who hate this country.
Pretty good reason not to go to college.
I'm going to spend four years...
And let's see, $200,000, get into debt, not be able to buy a house for the foreseeable future because of the debt that I accrued to learn not only nothing but lies.
By and large, in the social sciences, you're lied to.
It is a wasteland.
Yesterday, I cited a professor who told a bald-faced lie, a professor of English at San Diego State.
I may even tweet it.
My anger at this liar is that great.
I may tweet it.
That the states that voted for Donald Trump had more COVID cases per population than the states that voted for Joe Biden.
It was an out-and-out lie.
It was a pure lie.
It was as much a lie as, I don't know.
George Washington was the third president.
So you're lied to.
You're taught hatred.
You're taught anger.
You're taught that race matters.
Why would you go to college and pay money for that?
So this is an important article.
Why college degrees are losing their value.
What do you think?
You think college degrees are important?
1-8 Prager 776. If you hire people, do you hire with the proviso that you must have attended college and gotten a degree?
Ninety-nine and a half million Americans have earned a bachelor's degree.
Imagine that, a bachelor's degree in sociology.
Wow.
Let alone women's studies.
Gender studies.
Almost anything with the word studies is not serious.
Today, nearly 40% of all Americans hold a four-year degree.
That's amazing.
Considering the vast increase in college attendance and completion, it's fair to question if a college degree has retained its purchasing power on the job market.
Much of the evidence seems to suggest That it has not.
What do you think?
1-8 Prager-776-877-243-776 Do people care about college degrees?
Do employers?
Do you?
The Dennis Trigger.

Right.
Now, excuse me, by the way, I'm not saying I approve of it.
Talladega or NASCAR or whatever they ran had people chanting it.
There is there is something so inherently abusive about how people are being treated by the government.
They are in a particularly in a society that wouldn't consider itself particularly uh crystal centric and it is I am actually thankful to your point to see a degree of We're not going to let this abuse continue, even if it's nothing more than using our freedom of speech to say something that's very vulgar and attach it to him.
We're not taking it anymore.

The article I'm reading to you is why college degrees are losing their value.
Let's say everybody had a college degree.
Let's just say that.
Do you think it would be of any value since everybody has one?
Maybe, but probably not.
But I don't think the reason that college degrees are losing their value is primarily because so many people have one.
It's because they're worthless.
They signify nothing about you except that you accepted, well I shouldn't say that, you may not have, except that you heard brainwashed material.
And regurgitated it properly.
That's all it means.
Now, it means something if you get it in math, I admit.
You got a BA in math?
I'm impressed.
I acknowledge that.
BA in anything other than science, technology, engineering, math?
It might be valuable.
You might have actually learned something.
You might not have been brainwashed, but the odds are you learned nothing.
And wasted four years.
Not just because everybody has one.
You read about the great inflation, which is taking place in high schools as well, by the way.
People with unbelievably low GPAs who are in the top 10% of their class.
Because the task of the anti-student, anti-children teachers' unions is to get as many graduated as possible and have them feel good about themselves.
I want you to know that the day the self-esteem movement started in California, I knew it was going to be destructive of life in America.
I actually had the man who developed it, I'll never forget his name, John Vasconcelos, a California state senator.

Let's give everybody self-esteem.
That's where the getting a medal for participating, right?
The participation medals and trophies.
My son got one playing baseball, and I'll never forget.
I said, David, your team lost.
You were in last place.
Why'd you get a trophy for playing?
What was I going to say to that?
David, My beloved son, I don't believe you deserve a trophy.
I think I did say that.
One of the reasons I'm proud of my kids, I didn't coddle them.
I loved them, but I didn't coddle them.
You got a trophy for coming in last?
By the way, that's a perfect example of inflation.
If everybody gets trophies, if everybody gets medals, if everybody gets awards, they're worth nothing, correct?
It's a perfect example of a BA. Alright, let's see what you folks have to say.
Jennifer Clinton, Michigan.
Jennifer of Clinton, a very famous woman.
Hi.
Hi, how are you?
Okay.
So, I went to community college running high school because I had gotten an academic scholarship.
Wasn't sure what I wanted to do.
I wound up having my first child while I was in community college and then didn't go back to school until my youngest of four was 10. And even though I had eighth chemistry at my community college, they made me take a freshman science course, even though I was an English major.
And the teacher would...
Create the assignment.
She wouldn't start you at 100 and take points away.
She would start you at zero and add points.
So the first paper I wrote for the class, I got 240 points out of 100 because I could write.
And she still made me take the final, but I learned nothing in those 18 months that it took me to finish my bachelor's degree.
So do you regret having gone back?
Yes and no, because I still have, you know, about $7,000 a student debt that I'm trying to pay off.
Well, if you didn't learn much and you spent all that time, why don't you just regard it as a waste of time?
I'm not saying you should, I'm just asking you.
No, it was a total waste of time.
Other than the fact, then, that the two or three jobs I've had after that, I only could apply for them.
Oh, that's the danger.
That's the problem.
Employers, you should be ashamed of yourself if you require a college degree.
You're hurting the country.
You're hurting kids.
You're saying, please go into debt so that I could hire you.
That's all you're saying.
How do you even know?
This is the question.
Two people apply for the job.
One went to college and one didn't.
If you can't tell the difference, what the hell is the difference?
Correct?
They're equally articulate, they're equally capable, they're equally personable.
What's the difference if one went to college or not?
What if the other is self-taught in some skill?
Back in a moment. Back in a moment.
You have attorney Binger pick up an AR-15.
Oh my god, yeah.
You have better trigger posture than him, Kyle.

Pretty much.

This is your gun, right?
That's my rifle.
Yeah, that is yours, right.
That we're having destroyed right now.
We don't want anything to do with that.
Oh, wow.
So, I looked at Corey, and I said, Corey, that's gun safety 101. Loaded or unloaded.

Yeah.
And he points it at the jury.

Right?
Because it's handheld.
So, and of course, Richie thinks he has his camera going, but he doesn't.
And he's beating himself up over that.
But, you know, it happens in the heat of the moment that this thing is above looking down, sees the whole thing.
You can actually see the anger and just, you know, insanity in Rosenbaum's face as he's chasing you that I don't think you show that face to anybody.

Approximately 41% of all recent graduates are working jobs that do not require a college degree.
It is shocking when you consider that 17% of hotel clerks and 23.5% of amusement park attendants hold four years degrees.
That's a great statistic.

Dan, Asheville, North Carolina.
Hello.
Hello, Dennis.
Hi.
I wanted to share the story of my 17 and now 23-year-old son who, as a 17-year-old junior in high school, started his own lawn care company.
By his senior year, he had two guys working for him, paying him $18 an hour.
At the end of his high school graduation, he signed up to be a wildland firefighter and has traveled the U.S. extensively, and now at 23, travel the world, working for the U.S. government, installing security systems in U.S. embassies.
Without a college education.
Well, that helped him.
He sort of cheated.
He got ahead by not going to college.
Absolutely.
None of my three children have gone to college, and all three are quite successful.
You're a good man.
I hope we meet one day.
Oh, my God.
Here's another benefit of all three children not having gone to college.
They probably love truth, love America, maybe even God, maybe even their parents.
They're probably happier.
They have no debt.
They've moved on with life.
Likely to marry sooner?
Make a family sooner?
Buy a home sooner?
What's an advantage of getting a college degree?
Name one.
I'll tell you the one.
It's that employers, being sheep like most people are, just go along with the sheep.
College degree required.
Why?
Why is an excellence required?
What does a college degree tell you?
Nothing!
You know it's true.
It's nothing.
It's a vast, naked emperor.
The emperor has no clothes.
But the whole herd of humanity is going, look at the beautiful clothing the emperor is wearing.
Okay.
That's what I'd like to know.

It's my favorite week of the year, and last week, these two weeks.
They go by so fast that I feel somewhat like punching Sean.
And I don't even know why, because it's not his fault.
It's wrong of me to even have that sentiment.
I just thought I'd emote for a moment.
By the way, that proves, that was funny, and that proves, what's our friend Dreesen's first name?
Tom Dreesen's point yesterday.
Humor, well, there are two huge things, a very interesting thing, and that did it, actually.
It really opened my eyes.
The unexpected surprise and victim.
So Sean was the victim, and it was a surprise.
Who expected me to say, you know, makes me want to punch Sean?
So I didn't either.
I'm telling you, I didn't know I would say that one second before I said it.
The stuff that comes to my brain.
But that is a fascinating...
It's like...
You know what a sentence is in English?
I'm not kidding now.
I love grammar.
In order to be a sentence, it must have a subject and a verb.
And the example we got when people actually learned grammar was fish swim.
That is a complete sentence.
Subject and verb.
Whereas you can string ten words together, and it's not a sentence.
It has to have at least those two things.
And humor has to have a surprise and victim.
They don't all have to have both.
I think you can have surprise without victim.
Right?
You don't agree?
No, that's his rule.
You have to have a surprise.
Oh, you need both.
There's no victimless joke.
There's no victimless joke.
Wow.
What a fascinating thing.
It's true.
When I tell the story about how I didn't know if I was a man or a woman in Hungary, I'm the victim.
Right.
And people are just cracking up.
Rodney Dangerfield embodied it.
Right.
And then there are the guys who tell jokes about their wife.
Right.
Or their ethnic group.
That is fascinating.
So, the classic, slipping on a banana peel, unexpected, the guy's walking normally, and he's the victim of the banana peel.
So I met Sean, he fell on a banana peel right into my arms.
It was a beautiful moment.
And then he said, oh, thank you, I'd like to be your engineer.
And I said, fine.
Remember that, Sean?
Alright, let's go on here.
College degree, what a waste of money.
However, here is somebody who thinks it was worth it, so I've got to go to that call.
Virgilio in Santa Clarita, California.
Hi.
Hi, Dennis.
I love your show.
I've listened to you for years.
Thank you.
Good.
Love what you do.
So it's painful to disagree with me.
Very.
Go ahead.
Okay.
I can take it.
I wasn't a traditional college student.
I didn't go to college right after high school.
I was kind of a knucklehead, a young man, a fool, really.
Learning how to form convictions, learning what my parents taught me.
It took me a few years to get my head on straight.
I became an evangelical Christian.
I loved conservative values.
Then I decided, after a few years, to go back to school.
Transferred into UCLA, not a conservative institution, you know.
And I was an English major.
And I'll tell you, as much as there were many opportunities for me to debate with professors, some of them appreciated it.
Some of them even encouraged it.
Others did not.
And I would just go, this guy's a joke.
I totally see his bias.
But I'm still going to write my papers the way I write them.
I'm going to use the intent of the author, which in a...
Some of my college professors wanted us to deviate from that, which was offensive to me.
But I believe I came out of that a more critical thinker, a sharper thinker.
Right, and I believe you did too.
So let me react, and thank you so much for listening and for calling.
People who go back to college as an adult, it's an entirely different experience.
They know what's propaganda, and they know what is actual learning.
They can extract actual learning.
There's no doubt in my mind that if your intent is just to learn, and you are an adult, you can learn something at a lot of colleges.
I have no doubt about that.
So there you go.
But why a kid who's 20 years old, who doesn't know that he's getting propagandized in racial identity, which is racism?
It's the definition of racism, that race is important.
That is the definition of racism.
Holding that race is important.
And anti-American hatred, anti-white hatred, anti-capitalism, which is ultimately anti-the poor, because it's the only thing that lifts people out.
Anyway, you can learn.
I acknowledge that.
Why you would go into debt at 20 years of age, that's the puzzle.
Okay, cool.
And let's go to Paul in Cleveland.
Hello.
Hello, Paul.
Hi.
Hi.
I wanted to segue from what you said before the break on regarding companies that will hire somebody who do have a college education.
And I say that because this is a big topic with us and my family.
My family's been in construction for about 70 years, and now we develop because we got out of the home building business.
I've been involved since I was a little kid from parents that were immigrants that came here and started the business.
But now the way it works is, and this happened about 10, 15 years ago when things got really slow, I went to get a job at one of the larger builders, and they won't hire somebody.
That doesn't have...
Okay, I want to talk to you about that.

This hour is devoted to an article for the Foundation of Economic Education about how useless college degrees are in many instances, in most instances, outside of STEM, science, technology, engineering, math.
So, Paul is in Cleveland, and...
You're telling me that a lot of people, even in construction, have demanded college degrees?
It happens to be with, like, the bigger builders, and I can name, you know, some of the larger builders around the country.
When they have supervisors, that's the one area where I would deal with that, is that they want the supervisors that run the job sites that, you know, actually, you know...
Yeah, go on.
I understand.
What about them?
They want them to what?
They want them to have business degrees in order to get their jobs.
They will not hire somebody who does not have a business degree.
Oh, I see.
Even though I'm somebody who's...
I mean, I can't drive by a job site without noticing things on home.
Of course.
You're probably ten times better than the business graduate.
It's called credentialism.
The last two years have made very, I've told you this so often this year, have opened my eyes.
I thought they were very open.
And almost everything that my opened eyes have seen has been dark.
One is, most people are sheep.
The employers are sheep.
They didn't think it through.
What if you have a terrific person who, like Paul, knows the industry, knows construction, but didn't get a business degree?
So therefore what?
They can't use Excel?
What's the issue?
Peter in L.A. wants to know if I can suggest colleges that are useful.
Well, there are some.
I think you should look on the internet, like, are there conservative colleges?
By conservative, I don't mean that they only teach conservatism.
I mean that they teach both conservatism and liberalism.
Listen, I got my degree in communist affairs.
Oh, but of course that makes sense.
I went to...
Liberal left institutions.
Anyway, you know, Hillsdale and some Christian colleges come to mind.
I'm sure that there are a few others.
