Amazing how Happy Holiday has supplanted Merry Christmas.
I traveled around the country this weekend, spoke at Indianapolis, and then I spoke at AmFest, Charlie Kirk's TPUSA convention.
I don't know, 5,000 students were there, young people.
I have to tell you, I admit it, I don't let these things, I don't let things give me a high and I don't let things give me a low.
It's been my attitude all of my life.
I'll trade in any tens so that I don't have any ones on the happiness scale or depression scale, if you wish.
The sight of all these young conservative kids, the happiness they radiated, the health that they radiated, and to be honest, their reactions to me and to PragerU were exhilarating, just exhilarating.
It was impossible to walk without people asking, I mean, in gigantic groups.
Please, can I have a selfie with you?
And this doesn't go to my ego, but this does go to my brain.
If you say things clearly, people will listen.
I'd like to tell you a little story about the power of clarity.
I began speaking at the age of 21, as some of you know, which is a very, very odd thing.
I've been, as it were, a public figure all of my adult life.
And I was giving a speech in a synagogue one weekend, and I don't know, I was 23, 24, and I noticed that there were kids about the age of 10, maybe 8, who were in synagogue and listening.
Did I ever tell you the story?
It had a big impact on me, and I thought, these kids never listen when a rabbi speaks.
They fidget, they leave.
They were sitting there listening.
So I analyzed things all the time, and I analyzed why were 8- and 10-year-olds listening to what I said.
And I... I came up with a very interesting rule based on my conclusion.
My conclusion was I spoke so clearly and the sentences meant so much to them.
They listened.
There's so much pablum in speeches and in writings.
Just fat, as they would say.
And I tried to avoid Any of this fat in speaking and writing.
That's why I have so many people edit my works.
I want to get rid of many of my own words.
So I came up with an interesting rule that you should all think about, and that is what you say should be important and profound even, ideally, but it should be clear enough For a 10-year-old to understand.
I'm not talking about people who give lectures on physics.
And I have a grandson that was 11, and he doesn't grasp all of the depth of, let's say, my Bible commentary.
Because we do...
What shall I say?
Zoom religious education.
He lives in Florida.
I live in L.A. every week.
It's a very beautiful thing to do with your child, or obviously your grandchild is not in your city.
He understands what I say.
He doesn't understand everything about it, but he understands it.
Now on to An article that I read in Think, right?
That's the name of...
You sent it.
Yeah, it's NBC News and they have...
Oh, it's an NBC News site.
Okay, okay, good.
I'm glad I asked what it was.
So NBC News has an opinion site.
All of NBC News is an opinion site, in my opinion.
It doesn't matter.
They have an official opinion site called Think.
So a woman wrote a piece in Think regretting that she had ever allowed the idea of Santa into her house.
I'm going to read to you because every year I do a pro-Santa clause hour and this woman I want to thank for providing me With the thinking of the anti-Santa Claus people.
Let me preface it by saying the following.
The woman does not discuss politics whatsoever, but I would bet my audio system, and that's really not only expensive, a love of my life.
Not the love, but a love.
That this woman is on the left.
And do you know why?
I will read to you lines that pretty much reveal it.
But there's another reason.
People on the left don't like joy.
I know that sounds incredible.
Who doesn't like joy?
But they suppress it.
Do you know that the EPA wants to limit or ban race car driving because of the emissions from race cars?
Do you know how cruel that is?
And stupid?
How deep an effect on the climate do race cars have?
But people enjoy it!
There's too much joy in America!
Let's get rid of it!
Let's get rid of Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Let's get rid of celebrating the founders.
Let's get rid of the car.
Too much independence in the car.
Let's get rid of air conditioning.
Let's get rid of Santa Claus.
Too much joy.
It feels more over the top these days than ever.
But maybe that's because I'm past it as a parent.
My kids are now 11 and 13. A woman named Judy Cateller, author of Would I Lie to You?
The Amazing Power of Being Honest in a World that Lies.
Or because I'm so acutely tuned in to the damage that disinformation does, I've lost my ability to just have fun.
That sentence is precious.
Precious.
That she's acutely attuned to the damage that disinformation does.
There are two great things to note here.
That, and I've lost my ability to just have fun.
Yes.
That's correct.
You have.
Disinformation.
You get that?
Santa Claus is disinformation.
I want you to digest that.
This is Orwellian.
Or because I happened to write a book about honesty last year and for the first time noticed how easy it is for parents to lie.
Wow.
In just one paragraph.
Santa Claus is a lie and disinformation.
Whatever the reason, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't do Santa, at least not in the same way.
Santa may have started as magic for my kids, but by the time they were in school, it turned into anxiety.
Anxiety.
You know why those kids were anxious?
Because she's their mother.
Not because of Santa Claus.
Parents convey anxiety.
She did a great job.
My wife grew up with Santa.
She thought it was great.
When I asked if she had anxiety, she didn't know.
She asked, what?
What?
Anxiety.
We'll be back.

Good, good.
Thank you for taking my call.
My pleasure.
I'm a green card holder.
I have been for 20 years.
Thank you.
From South Africa.
Excellent.
Thank you.
When I came into this country, I had to have blood tests to see that I didn't have syphilis, gonorrhea, HIV. I had to show all kinds of vaccinations.
I had to show means to be able to support myself, et cetera, et cetera.
So my point being is that the law is not being upheld as we understand it.
And so I don't understand how they are circumnavigating the law again.
I'm sorry.
What is the rule?
I'll do it at 40 minutes.
Make the Yuletide gay.
Thank you.
They were such optimistic songs.
Such optimistic songs.
Okay, everybody.
Every year I talk about Santa.
On Christmas time.
And the killjoys who want to get rid of Santa Claus.
Often nice people.
And not always on the left, like this woman.
Even conservatives, for whatever reason, they think it detracts from the spiritual and religious message.
I think anything innocent That helps children love a religious holiday, or any holiday, any holiday, religious or secular, however you treat Christmas, is good.
How much of this do we have in America?
How much time for kids to have innocent fun?
They go to school and have their emissions robbed.
Santa Claus is as innocent as it gets.
And this woman wants to get rid of it.
She regrets.
This is an NBC News opinion piece.
She regrets having had Santa for her kids who are now 11 and 13. I continue her article.
By the time they were in school, Santa turned into anxiety.
It is inconceivable to me that in a healthy home, a child has anxiety over Santa.
It is inconceivable!
This woman should self-reflect.
What anxiety did she impose on her children?
Are you ready now?
Here's one of the corkers.
Here's why I was willing to bet my audio system she's on the left.
By the time they were in school, Santa turned into anxiety.
Very real questions about poverty, physics, and time zones.
It's precious.
As my producer said during the break, we have to thank this woman.
Because I would have written it for her to have this hour.
The contradiction stressed them out.
What contradiction?
The logical part of their brains knew it couldn't possibly be real.
The contradiction stressed them out.
If you're stressed out about the contradiction, how could Santa be in many time zones at the same time?
You're in trouble.
I'm not being cute.
These kids are in trouble.
If this caused them anxiety, and what was the other word?
Stress.
How were they going to handle actual anxiety and stress?
I wound up telling each of them at age 8, but even then I felt like I was doing something wrong by cluing them in.
In retrospect, I feel that I did something wrong in ever going along with such a weird and dubious lie.
Especially one that totally glosses over income inequality.
That's my friend.
I must admit, it never occurred to me.
Santa Claus glosses over income inequality.
Because some kids get better gifts than others.
But that's true without Santa Claus, isn't it?
Let me ask my producer.
When did you get gifts from your parents?
Birthday, Hanukkah?
When did you get?
Yeah, birthday and Hanukkah.
Birthday and Hanukkah?
Yeah.
Did it ever occur to you other kids got better gifts?
No.
Did the thought pass through your brain for a nanosecond?
Right.
Me too.
A kid could have showed up at school with a Rolls Royce and It wouldn't have mattered to me.
Oh my God.
This is the product of looking for meaning because your life has none.
That is what this piece is about.
I will get meaning in fighting Santa Claus.
What a cause, Santa Claus.
Ah, a rare rhyming moment.
What else did she say?
For better or worse, parents have amazing abilities to explain things away.
I certainly did in the case of Santa, mostly in the name of preserving childhood wonder.
But the more distance I have, the more I'm the one wondering.
Why did I go along with the idea that an ancient and portly white man...
Oh, I forgot that.
I'm glad I made that bold.
I read to you sections of these pieces.
A white man!
Oh, there's a reason to negate Santa Claus.
He's white.
That's right, Will.
And you're a white too, Will.
You're Peruvian?
Yes.
You're a white Peruvian?
Very white Peruvian.
Very white.
VWP. You're a very white Peruvian.
Is that true?
You're Peruvian?
Yeah, my mom is.
Your mother's Peruvian.
What's your father?
He was born here, so he's still a boring old white guy.
Where was he born?
Burbank.
In Burbank.
I want you to know, it's an odd thing, but Peruvian Burbank marriages are like a dime a dozen.
Yeah.
Why did I go along with the idea that an ancient and portly white man with an army of spies is always watching you and brings a hall of material wards for good behavior?
Why was this particular brand of quote-unquote wonder I promoted instead of, say, The miracle of stars shining light from millions of years ago.
There you go.
That's the substitute for Santa.
Look kids, look at the stars shining from millions of years ago.
That is really the Christmas spirit.
Look at the stars shining millions of light years away.
By the way, that is wonderful.
Literally full of wonder.
But what does that have to do with Santa Claus?
Why is it a substitute?
But he is a portly white man!
I think this is, by the way, this is body shaming, right?
I mean, I can't believe this woman is not being cancelled.
To call Santa Claus portly?
And she doesn't mean it as a compliment.
What do you think, folks, eh?
The left hates when you're happy.
Because they're not happy.
They hate when you're not anxious.

When there is a clash on the left between separate preferred activist groups.
Who gets preference?
Who wins?
Now, on the left, they have a hierarchy.
Not any different than a hierarchy that you have in any sort of organization.
You see, when the left has a moment of disagreement, Or conflict, it is very important to realize that there is a structure of what matters more than something else.
I wrote a piece for humanevents.com where I wrote, it was literally called, This Matters More Than That.
Now a great example of this is when Fauci, the lockdown artist, The anti-freedom activist, mad scientist, who is the best example of the technological and scientific elite that the left worships.
When he was even confronted by a talk show host, where they asked Fauci, they said, so do you think that young people should be, should stop hooking up via Tinder and basically having Very promiscuous relationships.
And Fauci said, well, you have to understand there's some risk to that.
He didn't denounce it because he understood that if he dared came out against promiscuous behavior for young people, there'd be a revolution.

What do I have at the end?
Okay, everybody.
Dennis Prager here, finishing this truly foolish, almost scary article against Santa Claus on NBC News opinion site by this woman.
Who thinks it's a lie and disinformation and it neglects dealing with the issues of poverty and inequality.
She really regrets having raised her kids with Santa.
Yep.
What makes a two-year-old's eyes twinkle can make an eight-year-old feel ashamed and confused, and I didn't anticipate that.
Her eight-year-old was ashamed and confused because of Santa?
Does this woman not understand that this is entirely a product of her and her husband, if she has one?
If your eight-year-old is ashamed and confused because of Santa, you did it.
Not Santa.
The most eye-opening essay I've ever read about Santa is from writer Bobby Dempsey, another woman helping our society, who implored parents to stop making the big-ticket gifts from Santa because it only leaves poor children, of which he was one, wondering what they did wrong to not get the extravagant presence of their more well-off peers.
Really?
Really?
Wow.
This is the essence of the left, one of the essences.
Resentment of those who have more.
I wasn't raised that way.
My neighbor, my actual next-door neighbor, got a new Cadillac every year.
He did very well.
I promise, as God is my witness, there wasn't a hint of envy, coveting, resentment in the Prager home.
We just got a kick out of it.
And I would look at his Cadillac every year and marvel.
We owned an Oldsmobile every year when DeSoto went out of business.
As I've often said, I grew up in the middle of the middle class.
You knew what class you were in economically, by which GM car you rode.
It went Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Chevrolet.
And we owned an Oldsmobile.
And we didn't get a new one every year.
Got a new one, I don't know, every decade?
Every eight years?
I don't know.
My neighbor had a Cadillac every year.
Thought it was great.
Shoveled his driveway for $8.
So that was a lot of money then.
The first money I earned was my neighbor's driveway shoveling, which is not easy.
That's hard work.
You have no idea how heavy snow is, especially if it's got water in it.
Too much fun!

Nancy, hello.
Hi, Dennis.
I've heard all of your Santa Claus hours, which I just love.
And what I've noticed is that the people calling in who say they won't teach their kids about Santa Claus are very boring and very serious.
And it's like they're not fun.
They don't know how to be joyous.
They don't know how to help their kids be whimsical.
And I feel sad for their children.
You are terrific.
Merry Christmas to you.
That's exactly right.
But you see, there's always need for a cause.
There's always need for people on the left to feel that they are morally profound and superior.
There are so many aspects to this column that are revealing.
When I say the left, Whatever the left touches, it ruins.
Santa Claus is, I guess, the next cause.
Oh, and of course, as I mentioned earlier, car racing.
Only God knows how much pollution comes from race cars.
My friends, I don't know if I was born with it, but a very early age, I had tingling and numbness in my feet.

My twin 14-year-old freshman and high school granddaughters are at AmFest, and they took the time to call me last night to tell me that They heard your speech yesterday, and you brought down the house, and you were the best speaker of the day.
Well, give your granddaughters a big hug for me.
It means a lot.
If they're 14, it really confirms the thing I began the show with.
Clarity is attractive to every age.
I gave eleven left-wing arguments and answered them.
I didn't give a speech to get people off their chairs with a standing ovation.
I didn't do it to even inspire them.
I did it to give them intellectual ammunition.
And they went crazy.
It was a very good idea for me to do it, and I did it.
I'd like to make that speech available to the public.
I'll speak to Charlie Kirk, to whom enormous credit goes.
What this guy organized with TPUSA? I'm telling you, TPUSA and PragerU are massive forces in this society.
Massive.
And we adore each other.
We help each other.
We promote each other.
Everything.
I spoke right after Kimberly Guilfoyle.
He had Tucker Carlson.
I mean, Candace Owens, the president's son.
Don Jr. Don Jr. It was really quite something.
And it's going on right now.
I think it's a three-day event.
He took up the entire Phoenix Convention Center and filled it.
It's so good for these young people.
It's good for people, if they're 80, to meet kindred spirits.
Kindred spirits is the secret to a happy life.
Alright, anyway, thank you for telling me that, Victoria.
Okay, here's a very important point from David in California.
Hello, David.
Hey, you can hear me?
I can.
Yeah, the problem that you're ignoring about Santa Claus or Sinterklaas is that he distributes coal.
And it's not clean coal, it's coal.
And the kids are going to burn it, and it's going to cause climate change and melt all those polar bears.
You are so right that that eluded me is a commentary on me.
I'm surprised she didn't mention that in the article.
That was good.
Just remember, every mockery of the left that you come up with will be real within a year.
It's extremely hard to make up something silly and that it remains silly or absurd.
Okay, let's see.
Martin, who is Dutch in Illinois, Huffman Estates.
Hello.
Hello, yeah.
Even though you talked about the grandchildren and parents, they were advised not to embrace each other, which goes to the core of the value of family.
They had already for decades in Holland tried to dismantle Santa Claus.
It's a separate holiday, December 5th, and it has a ritual of him coming literally from Spain.
I ride with the boat and have a big march in November.
It's a big thing for kids.
I still get inspired when I think of the imagination I have as a kid.
But because he comes with his servants, and they're very decorative, dressed, and they paint their faces black.
And they're dressed in, like, clothing from the 1700s with these big scars, like in the time for Rembrandt.
And it's totally fascinating in those days.
But, of course, it's a racial issue now, and they try to spike it in there.
Oh, Holland is going woke.
I spoke to a young Dutch woman last night for an hour.
I'm going to have her on the show.
Yes, it's a racial issue.
That's right.

Dennis Prager here.
I read to you a piece by a woman on the left who said that Santa Claus produced anxiety and confusion and there was another synonym to that in her children.
Stress.
Stress, yes, thank you.
Stress.
She wishes she never had introduced Santa Claus because it's disinformation.
I'm telling you, the left really doesn't like what people are joyful.
You can't get more innocent than Santa Claus, okay?
So, the same left folks who introduce drag queen story hour into the lives of five-year-olds...
are worried about confusion over Santa Claus.
The same left people who tell kids, you will choose if you're a boy or a girl, that's not sowing confusion.
Santa Claus sows confusion.
The left is sick and makes people sick.
Emotionally, psychologically, and morally.
This is a perfect example.
Let me summarize some of your calls here.
Matthew in Kingman, Arizona says, The message of Christmas has been lost.
It's all about money now.
I know a lot of people think that.
The message of Christmas has been lost to people who don't have religion in their lives anymore.
That's true.
I lament that totally.
But all about money, I've never bought that critique.
I think it's beautiful that people buy people gifts on Christmas.
What would be nicer if people didn't buy people gifts on Christmas?
Once a year, the people take the time and the money to make relatives and friends happy with a gift.
That's where people on the right are anti-joy.
There's joy in gift-giving.
There's joy in gift-receiving.
If you have no Christ in Christmas, it's because you're not particularly Christian.
That's the bigger problem.
How many Christians have left Christianity?
That's a huge problem.
I warn people all the time.
When Christianity died in Europe, you didn't get a great Europe.
You got fascism, Nazism, and communism.
And right now, post-Christian Europe, you get nothing.
It's a continent of nothing.
They're even committing demographic suicide.
I'm Dennis Prager.
I'm Dennis Prager.
The race grievance industry would have you believe that blacks get up and think about nothing else except race.
If I tell you this is racist, yeah, I would get you emotional.
There is a whole big cottage industry for racism.
If racism went away, a lot of people would be unemployed.
The mob during the Minneapolis riots following the death of George Floyd.
White thugs, frankly, burning down the city's traditional black and Asian business.
They're racist, racist, racist, racist, racist.
Everything's racist.

When there is a clash on the left between separate, preferred activist groups, who gets preference?
Who wins?
Now, on the left, they have a hierarchy.
Not any different than a hierarchy that you have in any sort of organization.
You see, when the left has a moment of disagreement or conflict, it is very important to realize that there is a structure of what matters more than something else.
I wrote a piece for humanevents.com where I wrote, it was literally called, This Matters More Than That.
Now a great example of this is when Fauci, the lockdown artist, the anti-freedom activist, mad scientist, who is the best example of the technological and scientific who is the best example of the technological and scientific elite that the left worships.

I actually think that, in some measure, this is a sign of health in the country.
I don't think you're wrong.
In fact, my last column...
I talk about, in essence, what the American people are feeling in terms of how they're being treated by the current administration.
Now, excuse me, by the way, I'm not saying I approve of it.
Right.
It makes me uncomfortable.
But at the same time, it seems like a strange sign of health that we feel free enough.
To say that...
Well, and I don't even know that we necessarily feel free.
What I would say is that the American people feel like kind of a battered spouse at this point.
Okay, you wrote an article.
And that the administration is so abusive to how they're treating people that this reaction that you're seeing, and it started out in two college football stadiums.
It's now been in dozens to hundreds.
It's the new wave.
NFL teams had it going on this week.
Talladega or NASCAR or whatever they ran, had people chanting it.
There is something so inherently abusive about how people are being treated.
By the government.
They are, and particularly in a society that wouldn't consider itself particularly crystal-centric.
And it is, I am actually thankful, to your point, to see a degree of...

Maybe one of you can, and that would be of great help to me.

So, he, a professor, did a study and found that one of the two groups, I don't remember the second, of men most likely to divorce were high school teachers.
And I think college teachers.

Yes, indeed, it is a joy to play for you Christmas music.
This is the week of Christmas, as it happens.
For those of you just getting to know me, I am a religious Jew who loves Christmas.
It's my favorite time of the year.
America has made it a beautiful thing.
It's a beautiful thing, I assume, in many countries.
But the music and the lights and the trees, The spirit, people getting gifts.
You've got to be a real downer to think ill of this time.
And I remind Americans it's a national holiday, and I take that seriously.
This is my nation, and it is my national holiday.
Whatever my religion or no religion.
That's why I tell people Merry Christmas when they wish me the sanitized Happy Holiday.
If I have time, I always like saying, what holiday did you have in mind?
And they go, Christmas.
Ah, then Merry Christmas to you.
Is there a holiday that we have that people don't say other than Christmas?
People always say, have a great Thanksgiving, Happy New Year, have a great Fourth, right?
But when it comes to Christmas, it's holiday.
Used to be Christmas parties at your business, right?
Now it's holiday parties.
But there's no war on Christmas.
Oh, that's made up.
That's what we call gaslighting.
You're going to believe us, or you're lying ears.
No war on Christmas.
No, not at all.
Used to be Christmas vacation at schools.
Not anymore.
It's not inclusive.
What does that mean, not inclusive?
I'm a Jew.
Why am I not included?
Because it's not my religious holiday?
So what?
I always remind my fellow Jews, in Israel, the state radio, as the Sabbath enters, wishes the listeners a Shabbat Shalom, the greeting for Shabbat, for Sabbath.
20% of Israel is not Jewish.
Is that not inclusive?
But Shana Tovah, Happy New Year.
For 20% of Israelis, it's not the New Year.
Is that not inclusive?
It's a stupid term, not inclusive.
It's a meaningless leftist pablum.
Okay, got that out of my system.
Welcome to the show.
Hope you had a good weekend.
I was in Indiana and Phoenix.
I want you to hear a fanatical crackpot named Anthony Fauci.
When was this recorded?
Yesterday.
I also wanted to ask you about airlines.
I think you said this week about the last one, airplanes.
They, uh, some of the top airlines said that on an airplane you are actually safer, uh, in the night to be with the protection of the filters, the decorations that they have.
They were suggesting that there really isn't much of a mask on an airplane.
Are we going to get some time for them to have to wear masks on airplanes?
I don't think so.
I think when you're dealing with a closed space, even though the filtration is good, that you want to go that extra step when you have people.
You know, you get a flight from Washington to San Francisco.
It's a well over a five hour flight.
Even though you have a good filtration system, I still believe that masks are a true thing to do.
The man is an idiot.
The man is a bona fide crackpot.
He's a crackpot, folks.
The filtration system is better than an ICU unit.
And people need to wear masks?
You're a crackpot, Fauci, and that people take this man seriously is a very scary thing.
Thank God half this country has contempt for that man.
Thank God.
I affiliate with that half.
If you think Fauci is a serious, good scientist with wisdom, you are the other side of half this country.
I admit it.
That's correct.
Half this country thinks that answer is coherent.
Is it or is it not cleaner, the air, than in an ICU unit?
Yes or no, Dr. Fauci?
Why would people have to wear masks?
And by the way, why can they take it off when they eat?
Why aren't they dying on masks?
Do we have any instance of people getting COVID and sick from an airplane?
Amazing.
Thank you.
Just amazing.
This is the quality of human being that people rely on.
He doesn't foresee a time when we will not have to wear a mask on an airplane.
Okay, so here's the $64,000 question.
Too bad they didn't have this follow-up.
Dr. Fauci, do you think pilots wear it when they close the cockpit door?
Yeah.
Whoa.
That would be a good one.
Pilots don't seem to be dying.
You think they wear a mask when they're flying?
How's this?
Do you think they should?
Do you want your pilot on this five and a half hour flight from Washington to San Francisco to breathe in his own air or to breathe in clean air?
That's right.
God, we live in the age of idiocy.
Tyranny.
Based on idiocy.
You know, I'm more and more comfortable not wearing a mask in any airport.
It was, I admit it, it was not comfortable when I first started doing that, and I'm in airports every week.
Just as I said, this weekend, Indiana and Arizona.
And it was tough, I admit it.
When you're the only person out of thousands of people doing something, and it can't be more obvious than showing your face, Which just induces more people to want selfies.
I was stopped three times at three different airports in the country by police.
In every case, I thought, uh-oh, they're going to tell me to put on a mask.
In every case, they came over and said, just want you to know how much we appreciate your work, Dennis.
And now I don't wear it.
I don't get dirty looks.
It's very interesting.
It's like it's a non-issue.
I don't wear a mask.
I wish more Americans didn't wear masks at airports.
That would be one of the greatest things you could do for this country.
I will not be bound by idiocy.
That's the announcement you are making.
I am not a sheep.
If you think you might die if you don't have a mask, wear a mask.
I'm not telling you Who believe that this is, you are protecting others from death, or you're protecting yourself from death.
By the way, the latest on the vaccines is, okay, they really don't prevent COVID, but they prevent serious consequences of COVID. So they have now acknowledged that.
And by the way, natural immunity, which is what I wanted the whole time, and got, because I got COVID, which was milder than the cold I got.
Two weeks ago.
And that's because I took therapeutics.
But doctors don't prescribe therapeutics.
In America, here's the way medicine now works.
You get COVID, let's hope you don't get really sick.
We have nothing to give you, nothing to combat it.
We don't have a single pill to give to you.
But if you get sick, come into the hospital.
We'll give you remdesivir, which as one nurse put it to me, the nickname in hospitals is, death is near.
And then, God forbid, you get sicker, put you on a ventilator, which is sort of a kiss of death in most cases.
So they give you nothing.
American doctors have punted.
They give you most, not all.
Give you nothing if you get COVID. Isn't that amazing?
They give you nothing to prevent COVID. Isn't that amazing?
Two of the safest drugs in the world, both on the list of the World Health Organization's most essential medicines, hydroxychloroquine, with zinc always, and ivermectin, what I took for a year and a half,
and one of the reasons I am certain that I had such a mild case of COVID. Natural immunity turns out to be more robust, longer lived, than the vaccine.
You've been hearing that here from the beginning.
There's an article on what a mistake the lockdowns were.
What did I say from the beginning?
We'll be back.

Where do you get your science from?
What group of scientists do you trust in relationship to COVID? Okay, so I'm going to put up on my website a completely legitimate question.
You're absolutely right in asking it.
I'll give you an answer very directly, but I'm going to put up something I'm sure you're not aware of, because the press doesn't report it.
17,000 scientists.
17,000.
Just signed a declaration.
International Alliance of Physicians and Medical Scientists about how terrible the approach to COVID has been, from the lockdowns to everything else.
So I trust Ira Bernstein, co-founder of the Canadian COVID Care Alliance.
I trust Paul Alexander, clinical epidemiologist, former WHO and U.S. consultant, senior.
COVID pandemic advisor, Dr. Pierre Corey, critical care and pulmonary medicine specialist, former chief of critical care and medical director of trauma at the University of Wisconsin.
I trust Dr. Hector Carvalho, former professor of internal medicine, Universidad de Buenos Aires.
I could go on, but I don't want to read 17,000 names to you.
Does that answer your question?
No, it doesn't answer my question because every major medical institution in the country, Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, MD Anderson, UCLA, disagrees with all the crap that you disseminate.
No, what?
I think they disseminate crap.
Really?
Yes, because I have 17,000.
Yes, they're corrupt.
That's correct.
It's very depressing.
You can laugh, my friend.
I will have the last laugh.
Let me ask you a question.
Do you think that masks...
I will ask you a question.
Do you think masks on airplane help?
Absolutely.
Despite the fact that the air in the airplane is cleaner than that of an ICU unit?
Really?
Supposing someone sitting next to you, Dennis, has COVID and sneezes, right in your face.
Without a mask.
Yes, I hear you.
I don't know the answer to that, but apparently it hasn't happened because people eat without masks.
Do you think that's okay?
Well, I'm not sure they should be eating on planes.
Okay, so you're not for that.
Okay, so what about the pilots?
You think the pilots are wearing masks?
What difference does that make?
Okay, if you don't understand what difference it makes, then the discussion is pointless.
That's an answer.
That means, Dennis, you're right, but I refuse to acknowledge it.
What difference does it make whether pilots wear masks?
What if they sneeze on each other?
How come no pilots are dead from sneezing pilots, you fool?
This is the...
I retract saying, you fool.
I try never to insult a caller.
So I retract it and I apologize.
What you said is foolish.
Whether you're a fool or not, God knows.
Or your wife knows.
That's amazing.
The corruption of the American medical system, whether it's UCLA or Johns Hopkins, is despicable.
That they have never given a therapeutic to an American.
They endorse nothing to save you from COVID when you get it.
It is a crime of death.
The American medical institutions are responsible for hundreds of thousands of dead Americans.
And if you don't think I have the credibility to say it, how about, what is it, Harvey Risch, right?
Epidemiologist at Yale University.
He says hundreds of thousands of Americans are dead because of the American medical establishment.
The AMA thinks the birth certificate should not have sex on it.
Not male or female.
You're not born male or female, according to the American Medical Association.
You were confused by a penis or a vagina, you fool.
That's the American Medical Association position.
Yes, they're corrupt, my dear caller.
They are, and you believe them for no good reason.
That's the amazing thing.
You believe them because they're called UCLA or Johns Hopkins, so you bow down to them.
It means nothing to me.
Truth means everything.
They have killed Americans by not giving them any therapy.
Get better or drop dead.
But we will give you nothing.
When you're ready, we'll put you on a ventilator.
And, by the way, we'll make sure nobody visits you while you die.
Because we're not only fools in the medical institutions of America, we're also mean.
Okay?
That's what I learned in the last two years about American medicine.
I venerated it until two years ago.
You still venerate it because you don't know the truth.
Okay.
That was good.
Okay.

An opening the size of a manhole cover.
That air comes in and is recirculated every two to three minutes.
Fresh, high altitude, clean air.
The HEPA systems on the airplane, while they don't get down to 0.1 microns, which is what the COVID... Hold on a minute.

So speaking to a pilot about the clean air, Dr. Fauci, a fanatic, a crackpot, says we still have to wear a mask even though he acknowledged implicitly, if not explicitly, that the air in an airplane is cleaner than the air in an ICU unit.
And here's a pilot, fly 737s.
Acknowledging that fact, is that correct?
That's correct.
Do you know any pilots who wear a mask in the cockpit?
I've encountered one whose wife had some strong comorbidities and her immune system was compromised, so as a favor to him, I actually wore it once for him and thought that was the right thing to do.
But otherwise, no, sir.
We take them off.
We do not wear them.
As a matter of fact, there's a federal aviation regulation that says that if any device or implement a medical procedure or device that interferes with your ability to breathe or makes you lightheaded, you're actually legally not allowed to wear it.
That's fascinating.

That's the alternative.
And tyranny, obviously.
They're practicing tyranny right now in Europe.
Canada is lost.
Truly lost.
Canada is a disgrace.
It's a tyrannical disgrace.
And people voted it in in Canada.
It's a shame on Canadians.
Well, there's no robust conservatism in Canada.
People are sheep.

I'm proud of that.
Very proud of that.
Let's see what else we have here.
John in Boise, Idaho.
Hello.
Dr. Prager.
Yes, sir.
It's a pleasure again.
It's been a long time.
I, just as a side note, so I have, since January 2020, have flown 80,000 plus miles each year, last year and then this year, and find the mask issue a rather sad one, in that every time you fly, They chastise you for if it's below your nose, whatever.
But then once the food and the beverages are served, all bets are off.
How does that work?
I couldn't agree with you more.
I've made that case from the very beginning.
When they closed restaurants, you can eat two inches from your maskless, obviously.
You can eat two inches from...
Another human.
But in a restaurant, they closed restaurants when people were 10 feet away from other humans.
By the way, I was mulling over that call of the man who trusts Fauci and chastises me, telling you crap.
He said, well, what if on an airplane somebody with COVID sneezed onto the person sitting next to him or her?
My producer asked me a question during the break.
In your life, have you ever seen anybody sneeze on another human being?
I haven't.
It is a hypothetical that is so bizarre.
First of all, when people sneeze, they either stifle it or they put their elbow or a tissue or their hand, let's say.
This is the worst of them.
But they always muzzle it.
Secondly, they don't do it in the direction of the person sitting next to them.
Unless you have a very pathological, psychopathological human being.
It is an absurd question.
And as I said, what if the pilot sneezes on the other pilot?
Look, the country is divided between the scared and the non-scared.
What was that, my friends?
Oh, good.
Hey, this is a joy.
Relief factor.
It is a joy for me to recommend it to you.

Hello.
Hi, Dennis.
I was listening to your fireside chat this week and you mentioned the case of Leah Thomas, the transgender swimmer who won a particular match by 38 seconds, which is, in your terms, quite enormous compared to the second or sub-second wins that most swimmers get.
There's a little bit of negative context and positive context I want to add to that, because in the negative context, it's a 1,650-yard freestyle that Leah Thomas won, and in such a long-distance race, it's actually quite common to have lead times between the winner and other racers of, like, a minute.
In a positive context, the male and female records are apart, with the male, of course, being shorter, by a time of about 45 seconds.
So, was that 38 seconds a male bonus?
Could still possibly be.
It would seem that your evidence is that it is an advantage of a male, a biological male.
I don't know why.
Why do you say could possibly be?
Well, I'm saying that...
Do you think Leah Thomas won because she is a biological male?
I think that definitely contributed to it.
Okay.
I don't know why you don't say it definitively.
The best male swimmers swim faster than the best female swimmers.
That is the reason for female sports.
Certainly in swimming.
That's it.
That's the issue.
Or in weightlifting.
Whoever's strength is a factor.
Which is, in most sports, that is the case.
Leah Thomas is a cheat.
I have no interest in whether Leah Thomas is male or female.
At this time.
That is a separate issue entirely.
The only issue that matters is the biological one.
He or she is a cheat.
Period.
End of issue.
If you can't acknowledge that, there's something wrong with your moral compass.
You don't think clearly.
Sorry to offend you, but you've earned it.
Okay, let's see here.
Yep.
Oh, interesting.
Mike in Los Angeles.
Hello.
Hey, Dennis.
Hey, thank you for giving me the courage to walk masks in two airports.
I want you to know you made my day.
That I gave you the courage to do that really means a lot to me.
Well, thank you.
And the thing is, though, you gave me the courage, hopefully I gave other people the courage, when they saw me, the only person walking masks in two airports.
And a funny story, I was in line at Starbucks at one of the airports, and a woman was staring at me in line next to me.
And after a while, she just gave up, left the line, and as she passed me, she said, idiot.
I would have engaged her in conversation.
It wouldn't have mattered.
But I would have engaged her in conversation.
And why am I an idiot?
And, you know, I'm just curious.
Are you vaccinated, or did you have COVID? I had neither.
I'm on the protocol.
Right, exactly.
Okay, so obviously I would have an easier answer to her than...
I would say, ma'am, I am less dangerous without a mask than you are with a mask.
I had COVID. Yeah, that's true.
Of course, that would mean nothing to her, you know?
Probably.
And by the way, I must admit, I'm not surprised it was a her.
Yeah, me neither.
And the thing is, the reason I didn't engage with her is because she hurriedly went away.
Right, yes.
But I actually was delighted that I could upset her in such a way, in some manner.
Well, it's interesting.
You've tried it in two airports and had one negative response.
I've tried it in multiple airports and have no negative response.
So, I salute you.
I implore all of you who believe that we are being scared to death, literally, that there is panic and hysteria masquerading as science, not to wear masks at airports.
If enough of us do it, it will cause a sort of sensation in the country.
It's very hard to do because it's very hard to stand out to be the one nail that needs to be banged back into the, or hammered back into the wood.
But you get used to it after a while, and it's very liberating.
Anyway, I'm putting up on the DennisPrager.com website.
The declaration by 17,000 scientists about the staggering mistakes that we have made.

South African hospitalization rates drop during Omicron surge.
The panic over Omicron is mind-boggling.
It might be the most contagious and the least fatal of all of the variants of COVID. It might be a blessing, Omicron.
Might be.
I don't know.
We'll see.
How could it be a blessing?
It will give massive numbers of people natural immunity while killing virtually none.
That's a blessing, no?
Natural immunity is best.
More and more scientists, except in the United States, tragically, are acknowledging this truth.
We'll return.

Only 1.7% of COVID-19 patients were admitted in the second week of infections during the fourth wave of the pandemic, compared to 19% in the same week of the third Delta-driven wave.
The government believes that vaccines and high level of prior infections were helping to keep the disease milder in a wave driven by the variant.
Quote, we believe that it might not necessarily just be that Omicron is less virulent, but coverage of vaccination and natural immunity of people who have already had contact with the virus is also adding to the protection.
At least they acknowledge natural immunity in South Africa.

COVID vaccines are infections which carries the stronger immunity.
Evidence is building that immunity from COVID-19 infection is at least as strong as that from vaccination.
Infection triggers a response that evolves over time.
Possibly making it more robust in the long term.
I had it.
That's what I have, natural immunity.
Several peer-reviewed studies conducted in the early part of the pandemic before widespread vaccination found that people infected during the first waves were around 80% less likely to test positive during the next surge.
A recent Israeli study found that people who had been vaccinated with two shots of the vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech SC, the most commonly used there, were 13 times more likely to later get infected than those with a prior infection.
Did you hear that?
An Israeli study, and the Israelis are as fanatical about vaccines as any country in the world, unfortunately, But they are.
You are 13 times more likely to get infected with COVID if you had the vaccine than if you had COVID already.
13 times more likely.

everybody, Dennis Prager here.
And I am really looking forward to this interview with Andrew Roberts, one of the greatest living historians, and an occasional cigar smoker with me.
That's a while ago.
He is the best-selling author of A Biography of Churchill, which I read, and of Napoleon, which I read, and now...
He has a new biography out of all people, King George, George III, the king against whom the American colonials, colonists, rebelled and made the United States of America.
He's usually portrayed as a buffoon, and Andrew Roberts does not believe that he is, and has provided the ammunition.
So it is with great pleasure that I say hello to you, Andrew Roberts.
Thanks very much indeed, Dennis.
It's great to be on the show again.
Thank you.
First, a few questions about the current situation.
Are you in Britain?
Yes, yes.
I'm in London at the moment.
What's the story now with regard to lockdowns, masks, travel, etc.?
Well, we're trying to put off any full-scale lockdown on the earlier models until certainly after Christmas.
The government is trying everything it can do to prevent that from happening before Christmas, but I'm afraid there tends to be a general assumption that there are going to be further restrictions after Christmas.
So right now, what restrictions exist?
For example, in Los Angeles City, New York City, You cannot enter a restaurant and eat there if you're not vaccinated.
Do you have something analogous in London?
No, we don't have what's called vaccine passports yet.
And there's a huge debate in the cabinet.
The cabinet is split 50-50 on whether or not we should introduce that measure.
At the moment, we just have compulsory mask wearing indoors.
We haven't yet gone back to the system where you can only have six people in a bubble and only meet them.
But there's a sense that that's going to come fairly soon after the celebrations this Christmas.
You said that the cabinet is split on vaccine passports.
Is it split generally on conservative and liberal lines or not?
Conservative stroke authoritarian versus libertarian, conservative libertarian.
So you have certain people who are calling for much heavier restrictions immediately before the National Health Service is swamped.
And there are others who say that the Omicron variant is not so dangerous.
And that we could get away with carrying on in much the same way as we've been over the last few months.
Right.
So does that fall generally on right-left lines?
No, not right-left, interestingly.
I mean, there isn't much of a left in the Boris Johnson Conservative Cabinet.
It falls along authoritarian-stroke-libertarian.
Oh, so the division, that was my mistake then.
I thought I conflated Cabinet with Parliament.
Which was a mistake.
So even in a conservative cabinet, there is a 50-50 split on passports.
That's right, yes.
And frankly, until it gets worse and we get to a dangerous point where the National Health Service really is under immense threat of being overwhelmed, Then the politicians aren't going to come down one side or the other.
And I assume the opposition is for passports?
Actually, no.
They're split as well.
Oh, that's so interesting.
That's why I asked the question.
Forgive me for interrupting, Andrew.
So it really doesn't fall on left-right division, the issue of passports?
No, interestingly not.
Even on the left wing of the Labour Party, there are those who don't take the expected authoritarian line, although admittedly fewer of them.
There's been an enormous rebellion by Conservative backbenchers, a hundred of them, which is about half of the backbenchers in the Conservative Party in Parliament, who voted against any increase in restrictions.
Interesting.
Well, you're freer than almost any continental country.
That's right, and we're also being banned by France, Germany, and other continental countries for Britons from visiting Europe.
So it'll be very interesting to see how that pans out as well.
That is amazing.
Even the vaccinated Brit?
Yeah, the double vaccinated Brit with a booster is not allowed to take the Euro tunnel to Paris any longer.
How about a double vaccinated Brit with a booster and had COVID? Yeah, they're not allowed either.
How about double vaccinated?
You can have as many antibodies as you like, and Macron is not going to let you come to Paris.
Wait, what is the reasoning?
Well, because they argue that even if you've taken a PCR test that morning, that you might still be a carrier of it for 48 hours.
Right, but why would they...
The French would allow a Dane who had the vaccines to come in.
Oh, yes.
Yes.
No, no, no.
But remember, the Danes haven't done...
There's no such thing as Danexit.
Oh, so this is...
Okay!
I'm glad I kept asking.
So it has nothing to do with vaccines.
It's about anger at Brexit.
Well, you see that in so many areas of French public life at the moment.
Really?
I find it very difficult not to assume that that's also the case.
I can't think of any other reason, because why would a Brit who's vaccinated be different from a Dane who's vaccinated?
It's exactly right.
Yeah, there's one difference, and that is that we're an independent country.
That's right.
Wow, what revenge.
All right, so not back to.
On to your book.
Why did you decide to...
Write a massive biography of King George III, the king against whom the Americans rebelled.
Well, you very kindly mentioned Napoleon, my Napoleon book, in your introduction of me.
I also have written books about the Battle of Waterloo and the Napoleonic Wars and so on, and in the course of those, I always felt that George III had got a very bad rap from history.
And then in 2015, Her Majesty the Queen put 100,000 pages of George III's private archives and memoranda and correspondence and so on into the public domain.
And that, I thought, was a wonderful opportunity to have another look at him.
Why did they delay that for 250 years?
Oh, just because of the Internet.
It's an amazing programme, the Georgian Papers programme, it's called, collaboration between the Royal Archives and King's College London, where I'm a visiting fellow.
And so together they were able to put all this amazing amount of documentation onto the net.
So when the first lockdown happened in March 2020, I was able to continue my researches and not get...
Not get stopped by the closure of all the archives.
Right.
But I'm asking just about the opening.
You said that just now, just in the recent past, these archives have been open to the public, Internet or not Internet.
Why the delay?
No, they've always been available if you go to the...
Top of the round tower at Windsor Castle to work in the Royal Army, which only about half a dozen people a week actually ever do.
What's happened since 2015 is they've gone online.
Well, that's huge.
I understand.
All right, we'll return in a moment one of my favorite living historians.
I do have favorite dead historians, so that was not an odd thing to say.
Andrew Roberts.
And his latest book?
It's a biography of the king against whom we rebelled.
And he's much more impressive, according to Andrew Roberts, than we thought.

It's exactly what King George was.
And the misunderstood reign of George III. So you gradually came to believe that the buffoonish caricature, or caricature may be my editorializing now, the buffoonish depiction of George III was inaccurate.
That's right, yes.
The more I read of these papers of his, his correspondence, but also his essays that he wrote when he was Prince of Wales in the 1750s, The more I recognize that actually you have a sharply intelligent figure here,
somebody who is at the cutting edge of the Enlightenment in many areas, and who was essentially a good person, a good man, and far from the kind of cruel depiction of him that you see in Hamilton the Musical, or indeed in the Declaration of Independence.
So in a nutshell, did he...
No, he didn't.
He was wildly, badly informed by the royal governors who constantly got everything wrong about the provinces, later states, of course, that they were presiding over.
It was an extraordinary breakdown of intelligence on behalf of the government, essentially.
He also had really, truly dreadful Had he
Has he been given intelligent intelligence?
Or I'll put it this way, is there anything he could have done to forestall the colonies seceding?
I don't think so, no.
I think that America was clearly ready for independence by the 1760s and 1770s.
You had 2.5 million population.
You had a burgeoning economy, about 7% year-on-year growth.
You had as many bookshops in Philadelphia as in any other city of the empire apart from London.
And he had no outside threat after the Treaty of Paris of 1763 from the French, who'd been expelled from the North American continent.
So, no, I think American independence was as close to inevitable as anything is in history, but that doesn't make him a tyrant, as it were.
Right, but given your response, which I did...
I didn't know what you would say, but given your response, why is it relevant that he was given misinformation?
Because had he been given excellent information, the colonies would have seceded anyway.
Well, exactly.
I mean, it's just a question of timing, frankly.
Had he been given excellent information, he would have made a series of moves, I think, to appease the sense of nationalism that was growing in America anyway.
anyway.
He obviously wouldn't have allowed the Stamp Act.
He wouldn't have allowed the Intolerable Act and the Townsend Duties and all the various other things that were being used to foment secession in that period.
I've always wondered, how important do you think George thought the colonies in America were?
Oh, always.
No, no, they were very important.
They were an essential part of the sort of, you know, You had the West Indies, you had obviously growing empire in India at that time, and Canada.
So, you know, it was pretty essential to have the colonies.
When the American colonies, when they seceded successfully, it was the greatest strategic catastrophe for Britain between the loss of the Angevin lands in the 15th century and the fall of France in 1940, in my view.
Wow.
And yet, as you point out, probably inevitable.
Yes, I think so, because there was a sense that after the French no longer posed an existential threat to the American colonies, that independence was the sort of natural way that things were going.
But frankly, the Stamp Act and the various other duties and impositions that were being placed on America, most of the money that was raised, by the way, was to be used in America, spent in America, they were absolutely minute compared to the kind of taxes that Britons were paying at the time, in a sense.
And you have to remember, of course, that George III never arrested an American editor, never closed an American newspaper.
You had one of the freest societies in the world in the 1760s and 1770s anyway.
That's a very important point.
I'm going to ask you a question that I don't even know if there's an answer to, but I've always wondered, and it has nothing to do specifically with King George, but do you think George Washington spoke with an English accent?
Yes, I think he did.
I'm trying to work out to remind myself where I read that.
Did I read that in the wrong Cherno book?
I think that there wasn't really such a thing as an American accent at that time.
There were various forms of English accent.
And, of course, you know, you had a lot of Germans who lived in America at that time, and so they would have had English with the German accent, if not German.
So I think, yes, he was very much considered to be an English...
Gentlemen, and one of the things that they did speak with, of course, was a received pronunciation in English accent.
I always wondered about that.
I think the reason we speak differently than you is because of all the immigrants.
And also, just the fact that we've had 3,000 miles between us for 200 years, and that's going to create...
If you think about all the most extraordinary different accents that we have in England...
Even 300 miles away in Cornwall.
That's right.
Not to mention Wales.
I don't understand people from Wales.
No, no, exactly.
I find it slightly different from Liverpool.
All right.
Stay on.
Exactly.
I was in line at the University of Leeds behind another student from Wales.
I didn't understand a word he said, but we both spoke French.
I give you my word.
We spoke in French.
The great book, The Last King of America.
I've got one more question for Andrew Roberts, the great historian.
How do you mind if you think this family can pick you up every time you fall?
Boy Dylan Wright came in this morning.
He wants to fight you.
This is your opportunity to get back on your feet.
This is my time.
Won't quit, I'll just be.
You gotta know who it is you're fighting for.
That's the fight, Bo.
I can't believe I'm saying it, that Bo Lawson can go ten years without a competitive fight, and here he is going toe-to-toe with the world champion.

Good, good.
Thank you for taking my call.
My pleasure.
I'm a green card holder, have been for 20 years.
Thank you.
From where?
From South Africa.
Excellent, thank you.
When I came into this country, I had to have blood tests to see that I didn't have syphilis, gonorrhea, HIV. I had to show all kinds of vaccinations.
I had to show means to be able to support myself, et cetera, et cetera.
So my point being is that the law is not being upheld as we understand it.
I don't understand how they are circumnavigating the law again.
I mean, obviously, allowing these people into the country in the first place without proper vetting, etc., is one of the ways.
But, I mean, the laws are written for legal immigration.
There are methods and ways of doing it.
They say the system is broken, but it's not broken.
It functions.
Greg, I am deeply in your debt.
Stay where you are because I've got a couple of questions for you, but just an addendum to your magnificent remarks.
The system is not broken.
We totally have a system that is set up to work if the laws that are on the books will only be enforced.
But that's a huge if, and they are being intentionally ignored.
So 20 years you've been here, right?

Not too much, but enough that I'll have them voting Democrat for the next 200 years.
The race grievance industry would have you believe that blacks get up and think about nothing else except race.
If I tell you this is racist, yeah, I would get you emotional.

Fiance, no, I can't be your fiance.
You're going to go.
You're gonna be my fiance.
You're gonna be my fiance.
You're gonna be my fiance.
Dennis Prager here.
The great historian Andrew Roberts.
Latest book, the biography of King George III. The misunderstood reign of George III. The title is The Last King of America, which is exactly what he was.
And it is about a man we know little about, and what we know is probably wrong.
Which is why one of the many reasons the book is so interesting.
So I said I had one more question.
I actually have three.
One is, so we only think, we Americans only think of Georgian relationship to the colonies, to us.
Was he a good king for England?
Oh yes, he was a very good king for England.
He was a hugely cultured man, one of our most cultured monarchs.
Somebody who set up the Royal Academy, who bought off the pictures for the Royal Collection, whose 80,000 books make up the centre of the British Library.
He's very interested in science and architecture, the neoclassical Georgian School of Architecture.
Very advanced when it came to music, he invited Handel and Mozart and Haydn to play.
A very good man when it came to...
He was nicknamed Farmer George.
He was very interested in the progressive agriculture that 80% of Britons took their livelihoods from.
And he had a sort of calming presence at the time of the French Revolution, which was essential, really, considering what the French had done for their monarchs.
That's right.
What a good point.
Okay, so two final things.
One is...
My view, and it may be completely subjective and personal, is that the easiest, most fun, and most accessible way to learn history is through biographies.
And also history.
You know, history books are pretty good fun as well, if they're written properly and properly based in evidence and research and so on, wouldn't you say, Dennis?
The reason that I said biographies is, in my reading, I found many history books have too much, about too much, for me to really...
Well, that's because they're written by academics.
What you want to always have is a history book written by somebody, a historian, who, if he doesn't sell history books, is going to not pay his mortgage.
That is so good an answer.
Paul Johnson is a perfect example.
Perfect example for that, exactly.
No one's ever paid Paul's mortgage apart from his publishing royalties, and that's why he writes such excellent books and such.
Right.
Barbara Tuchman was an American example.
Yeah, yeah, no, no, no.
I believe in the general reader.
I think that the general reader still exists.
We're always told that he or she doesn't, but actually I'm certain that they do, and they like reading readable history.
That's right, which is what you do.
So finally, you may not even want to answer this.
What is your next book?
It's a biography of Benjamin Disraeli.
There hasn't been a great biography of this extraordinary figure since 1966 with Robert Blake's biography, and it strikes me that an awful lot of new work's been done on the Israeli.
I think that his story is a truly extraordinary one, a complete outsider, being Jewish, of course, never went to public school or Oxford or Cambridge, constantly near bankruptcy, and yet through his own genius and his own wit and brilliance, he became the leader of the most powerful empire the world had ever seen up until that point, and one of the most powerful men, therefore, in the world.
I think that's an extraordinary story, a very uplifting one, frankly, to beat the racism and the vicious snobbery of the Victorian aristocracy, to become the leader of the Conservative Party at that time.
I will be one of your first readers.
Thank you.
I don't doubt it, Dennis.
Thank you.
Thank you.
What a joy.
I really look forward to seeing you.

Now, some of you may recall that in April of 2020, I tweeted that the lockdowns were the greatest international world mistake in history.
Make clear, I'm not talking about evil, I'm talking about mistake.
And I was roundly mocked, attacked.
And I was right.
Major piece in the Wall Street Journal about lockdowns.
Follow the Science has been the battle cry of lockdown supporters since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Yet before March 2020, the mainstream scientific community, including the World Health Organization, please listen now.
Strongly opposed lockdowns and similar measures against infectious diseases.
That judgment came from historical analysis of pandemics and an awareness that society-wide restrictions have severe socioeconomic costs and almost entirely speculative benefits.
Our pandemic response premised on lockdowns and closely related non-pharmaceutical interventions, or NPIs, represented an unprecedented and unjustified shift in scientific opinion from represented an unprecedented and unjustified shift in scientific opinion from where it stood a few months before COVID-19.
In March 2019, the World Health Organization held a conference in Hong Kong to consider NPI, non-pharmaceutical interventions, measures against pandemic influenza. measures against pandemic influenza.
The WHO team, WHO, evaluated a quarantine proposal, quote, home confinement of non-ill contacts of a person with proven or suspected influenza, less indiscriminate than the COVID lockdowns.
They called attention to the lack of data to support this policy, noting that, quote, most of the currently available evidence on the effectiveness of quarantine on influenza control was drawn from simulation studies, which have a low strength of evidence.
You hear this?
I'm reading through really important stuff.
I keep telling you I was right in April of 2020, not to brag, but so that you will know that you're getting very legitimate opinion on this program.
When I come out with a statement, it is well thought through.
Lockdowns have caused much more human misery than they have saved human beings.
That's what this article is about.
The Wall Street Journal is not a flamethrower.
The World Health Organization team declared that large-scale home quarantine was, quote, not recommended because there was no obvious rationale for this measure.
So I didn't know that the World Health Organization said this.
But I said this too.
A September 2019 report from Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security reached a similar conclusion.
Quote, in the context of a high-impact respiratory pathogen, quarantine may be the least likely NPI, non-pharmaceutical intervention, to be effective in controlling the spread due to high transmissibility.
Unquote.
This was especially true of a fast-spreading airborne virus.
Such as the then-undiscovered SARS-CoV-2.
These studies drew on historical experience.
A separate 2006 WHO study concluded that, quote, forced isolation and quarantine are ineffective and impractical, unquote, based on findings from the Spanish flu of 1918. Medical historian John Barry,
who wrote the standard account of the 1918 Spanish flu, concurred about the ineffectiveness of lockdowns.
Quote, Historical data clearly demonstrate that quarantine does not work unless it is absolutely rigid and complete.
He wrote in 2009, summarizing the results of a study of influenza outbreaks on U.S. Army bases during World War I. Of 120 training camps that experienced outbreaks, 99 imposed on-base quarantines and 21 didn't.
Case rates between the two categories of camps showed, quote, no statistical Difference.
It is a perfect experiment, Army bases.
The lockdowns, like the opposition to hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, were wrong and killed people, killed economies, killed hope, killed kids who have overdosed on drugs in the greatest numbers in American killed kids who have overdosed on drugs in the greatest numbers

Hi everybody, Dennis Prager here.
Final segment of the show.
The good news is it went fast.
Most shows do.
They should.
This is an amazing article.
We're going to put this up at DennisPrager.com.
It's already up.
How the lockdowns were a colossal mistake.
They did so much damage.
On every issue that I have been mocked and attacked by the left, I've been right.
Why am I right?
It's an interesting question.
It's not because I'm smarter or anything like that.
It's that I'm not intimidated by the media.
I think that's the biggest single reason.
I only care about what's true.
I don't give a damn about the universality of response.
If every single medium from the New York Times to CNN says, That cold is hot.
Cold is not hot.
Why isn't it obvious to people that locking down a society is staggeringly destructive?
Staggeringly.
That unless you literally keep people locked in, and then what happens after that?
So then it resumes.
You have to live on an island like New Zealand.
Lock everybody in for a very extended period of time.
The answer this whole time was not to lock people up.
People with comorbidities who wanted to stay alone.
Okay?
Obviously nobody's forced to leave their house.
The answer was therapeutics.
You get sick, take this pill.
We get better.
We have those pills.
We have prophylactics.
Same pills.
That they were mocked by the medical establishment, that doctors fear they'll lose their medical license if they prescribe ivermectin, shows you the corruption of the medical profession in the United States of America.
One of the states of India used ivermectin in massive numbers, and it had far less COVID deaths than the states that didn't use it.
Why wouldn't an American doctor know that?
Because, like most people, sadly, most doctors are sheep.
Might be sweet, kind, care about you, their patient, but that doesn't render the sheep description inaccurate.
Try never to be a sheep.
Thanks for listening.
